Chasity was our server and she was great! Food was very good. Short staffed though. Took a while to get our food. Great place to hang out with friends.

I called in my order for pickup. Arrived to no greeting or acknowledgement. I waited for over 3 minutes, I finally asked for my order. After some confusion, received my order. The females and the one male working behind the bar were rude. The food was not good. Onion rings were so under cooked, I could see the flour. Because they made me wait, fries and patty melt sandwich was cold. I will never go back.
Comfortable atmosphere and upscale bar food! Live music is always fantastic, and there is plenty of seating for all. Bathroom stall doors need some attention (faulty locks), but this is my favorite go-to place
Tried this new place on a whim tonight and so glad we did! I ordered the Everything Burger and it was just that! Fries were outstanding also. My son ordered the wings and loved them and my wife loved her fried chicken salad. You have to try the Fried Mashed Potato Balls for an appetizer. Best app Ive had in a long time.Service was great, the place was clean, and my wife reported that the restrooms were clean and in great shape.If you are in the West Cobb/Hiram/Dallas/Paulding area and like burgers/wings/bar food, I would definitely recommend you check this place out.
Most the time we have waited for an hour in half to receive or food. Sometimes the food can be good or not so good at all. I have never waited that long to place an order or wait for themy food. This has been many times we have gone!!
Good smash burger. 1/2 price on Wednesdays. Music usually starts around 7.
Very disappointed today. Changing my past rating from 5 to 1.We come in 4 to 5 times a month. Speed of service has been a major issue in the past but it has seemed lately that management has figured it out. Not today. Went in for the brunch. Waitress was awesome. Drinks came quickly. Although the coke was from a 2 liter and flat. Food took well over an hour after we ordered. A BLT with cold fries, a very thin club sandwich with cold fries, an order of wings, and a chicken and waffles. Arrived in that order and and 4 different times.Either someone cannot staff a kitchen (then dont offer as many options) or the kitchen is incapable of efficiency. Watched 4 tables walkout due to the wait for food while others seemed to take it in stride.We love 278 but come on people, lets get it right. Our crew will be taking a break from eating at 278 and hope that when we do come back management will have this figured out.
I went on a night when there was live music and the music was great! I ordered cauliflower wings and fried okra. I loved both dishes! Even though it was a busy night I got my order relatively fast. I will definitely try to visit again.

Its not that there was really anything wrong with this place other than their dance floor sucked It was so sticky you couldnt slide on it or anything but it just wasnt fun. Band they had was pretty good and they sounded great but other than that not much to say.
The food was wayyyy over priced! We had to to ask several times for out check from a bartender that obviously needed help behind the bar. This was a horrible choice on a holiday on the managers part. 😕

This is our favorite hang out. We dont get out a lot but when we do we enjoy 278. A beer at the bar and the brunch on Sunday is awesome. Ready for bloody mary bars again.

My advice is pass this dump by. Food is poor, overpriced and staff is basically worthless.They got one star because zero wasnt an option.
Wait time was soooooo long, but what made it worse was the lack of communication from the staff.We waiting an hour between ordering and receiving the food. During that hour wait, the waitress never stopped by for anything. It was only after we got up and found her did she say they were running behind.With that being said, after we asked for an update she went back to check and our food had magically just been plated.Weird. Because after she brought our food, she also brought the food for 3 other tables. You couple that with the Luke warm food we received, it was definitely sitting back there for a while.Food was good however hence the 2 stars and not 1.
Nasty food. Services suck. Would never go back. The food was so bad after we order Appetizers it was so nasty I didnt want to order anything else.

The food is amazing and so is the Saturday night live music! Its great to see places like this keeping the music scene alive in the area. If you are looking for a place with a laid back atmosphere and great food then you should definitely stop by. You wont be disappointed!

Sorry but it was really more like 2.5First time in and wasn’t sure if we needed to seat ourselves or wait, since no one said anything we decided to sit at the bar.It took forever to get a menu, the girl walked past us to help the tables. I had to ask for one 🤦🏽♀️The food…..Lawd why is everyone scared of seasoning?!?We got a cheesesteak and fries to split, ima just say a little garlic, salt and pepper can and will go a long way! Now I have to admit it looked really good. Just needed some love
Went on Tuesday for steak night, however sold out. Steaks are some of the best especially for the price. Had smash burger. Very good. Cant go wrong here. Dont expect Buckhead. Laid back atmosphere.
So I found this on Google and the reviews are really good. If you have multiple hours to sit and chill this is the place for you. Otherwise dont come. It took an hour and a half to get brunch/lunch on a Sunday. I see this seems to be the norm. I didnt look ahead of time at the reviews. Food is good BUT just make sure you have A lot of time to hang out. The staff is nice but they do really take a long time to get stuff. Drinks, food, everything. We got up and left after an hour and a half. No food just drinks and apps. Nothing else. We were actually there almost two hours before the food came out and we sent it back. Im hungry and not satisfied at all.

Went with large crowd and our waitress was good sans a tea and water. No biggie. I was impressed that her co workers jumped right in to help her. The food came faster than expected and our appetizers and dinner were very good. The pretzel appetizer was awesome! Def recommend it!

Food was amazing very unique.... get the grown up grilled cheese...and snickers dessert is the bomb. Only reason gave it lower stars was mixed drinks not so good...too much filler would be better if they were at least strong in glass even if they were smaller... beer is great and not wild about plastic cups... staff is nice could be little more engaging...

We had a Party of 8 ,service was good this was on a Saturday evening they do charge a entery fee in the evening for the Band.. 2 of our friends ordered Bloody Mary and in a little while later they ordered 2 more. They said their bloody mary was Good.. I ordered medium hot wings they was very good aswell. My husband orders the shrimp poor boy sandwich with Fries.. Man. That poor boy sandwich looked and tasted great.. they next time when we go back I think 3 of us are going to order the shrimp poor boy sandwich... the bathroom 🚻 was clean .they also have a out side place to sit and a smoking place out side.... Yes we will be back. We had a very enjoyable time..

I’m not sure what the food is like, but apparently you have to be willing to spend a couple of hours to find out.We tried this place last Sunday. About 30 minutes after we ordered food, we started to realize that no one was eating.We gave it a full hour after ordering and had to leave. Our waitress apologized - but no one else noticed. There was not attempt to rectify the trouble or compensate for the wait. I’m not even sure that there was a manager present. If there was, it would be news to me.We walked out after over an hour having not received a single piece of food.

Overall I love this place! Love that there is always live music and most of the food is great. Need more or quicker servers. No matter what time of the day we go we are always waiting for our drinks and food or our server to come back. Also wouldnt recommend the 278 dip or garlic ranch wings. No shrimp in the dip as described and the wings were greasy and too much garlic. Otherwise the buffalo cauliflower, other flavors of wings and burgers are delicious. You also have to try the grown-up grilled cheese! Yum!The alcoholic beverages are excellent!! Overall a great place to go! Very nice people!!
AWESOME!!!!!!!! Food is INCREDIBLE....especially fried mushrooms!!!! Staff very friendly, my husband found a new beer on tap (little pricey) but worth it....and I dont like beer, service excellent. I didnt give them 5 stars because it needs a makeover. But hey, Dont we all!!!!
Hahaha well, the waitress Sarah (who was one of their better waitresses), knew your drink order before you asked, made sure you always had drinks and was very attentive, is now a food runner and the service has became shameful. Getting anything was like pulling teeth on a crocodile. And I am not just basing this review on my Thursday nights, no I’ve gone for brunches, date nights with my husband. The last several times we have been it has just gotten awful! We loved this place. This place is going to lose so much money taking away wing night, i know we are not the only upset customers! And not only that my husband’s company has had some gatherings here, but that is not happening anymore. Best of luck to the owners and all that remain here, but you have lost my business and alot of money. Unfortunate because i loved the drinks and wings
Not very impressed, service was very slow for being about 25% full. My first time here but several in our group, stated service was the same way at their last visit with even less customers. For instance, I ordered a bottle beer with a glass; By the time I got it, the obviously chilled glass was almost at room temperature. Im not joking! It seriously took that long to get it. Food took longer than expected, but was actually pretty good hence the 3 stars. Would have been 4 maybe 5 stars with a better waitress. Nice girl, but must be new to being one. The only FOOD complaints in the group was the Fact that they put Suger on their Sweet Potato fries. I tried them and Ill have to agree with EVERYONE that a Sweet & Suger fry was NOT that great. Usually Sweet Potato Fries with Salt are what give them that desirable sweet and salty flavor and what I would have expected.

I only gave a two because our server was awesome! The fried green tomatoes had no seasoning. The pretzel was decent, wings ok... would never go back..drinks watered down. Music no good. We only tried it because we took a lyft and hiram station was closed.
Extremely slow service. We walked in at opening ( had a reservation for 20 plus! Which they hadnt set up so we were at 5 different tables. It took 2 hours for our food. And I was the last one and I had the Quickest thing to make a club sandwich.
The atmosphere is very clean friendly dive bar with great food! The burgers are amazing with wonderful tater tots! The chicken tenders are better than briar patch! Yum!The portions are a good size and well worth the money! The service was good! The restaurant was clean and had a fun group of employees that seem to really like where they work! I can’t wait to go when they have an artist playing there!
Love the live bands. They have enough room so you can close to the music or further away so you can chat with each other. Cover charge is reasonably priced at $5 for most bands. Wish they had more room for a defined dance floor in front of the band. Food is good.
Great food, but cant do pickles. Last 3 times weve ordered food to go, have asked for our burgers without the big pickle. Its either under 1/4 of my fries, or directly under my burger, leaving a fair portion of my food with pickle juice on it. Hate to be so picky, but three consecutive trips of asking for something not to be in my food has put me in a pickle.Edit...4th trip I asked for no pickle. Still got one and now very few fries that are all burnt. Not eating here anymore.
This place was absolutely terrible!!! I was there last night with a few friends. We waited 26 minutes before anyone ever came to our table and that was after we went and got them. We waited one hour and 50 minutes after placing our order just to get our meal. It was horrible the quality was poor the side dish was cold and the bill was $100 for three people. I’ve lived in this area my entire life. First time I have been to this restaurant and it’s the last time. If you are looking for good food do not go here !if you are looking for a good service do not go here! if you are looking for a friendly staff do not go here you will have a completely terrible experience

Its a great place, GREAT PRICES WITH A GREAT MENU!!! Family run spot that you cant go wrong. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
My husband and I have being going to 278 South for about 5 months now and every time we have had a good experience. The food is really good - their selection isnt huge, but I would rather have a smaller selection that is done really well compared to a huge menu that is mediocre. I highly suggest the wings and the shrimp po-boy and any hamburger that we have gotten has been killer. They also have a really good drink selection and more than one cider which is really important to me because I dont drink beer, but sometimes I dont want a cocktail.The only downside is that their shots are a little pricey and they do charge a cover charge on some nights.

Great little bar, the fried buffalo chicken meatballs are wonderful! The Kid Rock Tribute Band, Cowboy, was good and the place was packed. Food and drinks took a little longer than I would have preferred, but again, they were packed! My biggest complaint is that if your sitting at a table in the front, you sat there so you could see the band but its hard to see when there are so many people squeezed up against you that you cant even get out of your seat! Make them go stand in the back and keep the floor space open for people dancing, not taking videos like Kid Rock came to Hiram!
Excellent $0.75 wings after 5pm on Thursday. We love the hot, garlic ranch and Carolina BBQ. Nice, clean, friendly environment

First off, my wife and I got our menus and we ordered our drinks. We then received our drinks and as I was drinking mine, I noticed food remnants around the whole rim of the cup. Thats a red flag for me. We then received our food, everything looked fine and tasted fine. We finished our meals and then got the check, but then we noticed the prices on the check didnt match the menu. So, we asked for another menu. They brought us one and it was a different menu than what was presented to us, so we had to pay extra for our meal. Food was good, but not worth the price. All in all, 278 South was sub par and not the experience I expected. My advice would be, if youre gonna visit this place, be prepared to spend $30+ for 2 people. I wont be revisiting.

I think this bar and grill needs better management and more cooks. Food is great, but waitresses run their butts off and long waits on food is responsibility of cook staff. Lots of bad reviews regarding long waits. I would hate to see this place go under because of poor management.
We came to this spot for dinner. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff were extremely nice and we felt very good. The food was just great. We loved this spot very much and we will definitely return to this restaurant. We recommend this place to all.

Drinks made rights and a fun clean environment! Kendra is my favorite bartender! No smoking inside but they do have heaters outside! Theres a dj and an area to drop it low!
So glad there is a decent, updated place to go and have a drink and some decent food without going to Cobb County. Enjoyed a nice selection of craft beer and mixed drinks. Enjoyable atmosphere with lots of TVs for sport watching. Wings are nice and crispy. Great flavor. Hiram 278 Dip n chips are so yummy. Loved that it was non smoking. (Would love the outside to be as well) Will come back. Hoping they stay great. Would love to have a local place to enjoy on a regular basis.
I loved the band,.I just did not like the fact that we ask if we could reserve seats they said ( NO RESERVE SEATING ) .WE were the first 5 to get there a d all the tables and bars were Reserved. Just thought that was cheesey and we ended up sitting by a bunch of loud drunk Business owners in the county.
We have eaten here once and it was pretty good...however have tried three other times to call in for a to go order and no ever answers. The phone continues to ring and then says to enter your remote access code

After a lot of waiting and much anticipation, we finally got to eat here. And it surely did NOT disappoint! We were part of the lunch crowd. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, the wait staff was on point, and atmosphere showed off Pauldings best. Looking forward to many more meals here!
I had my very first experience here today for lunch! Food was very good and waitress was friendly. All in all a great experience and I will be back. I do have one suggestion..please dont bring the check out with the food. As a previous manager of a restaurant, it makes the customers feel awkward and rushed. Other than that, amazing place for sure!

Had the pleasure of listening to Hunter Flanighan this past Wednesday and we absolutely loved it!!!! Brittany was our server and everyone was very pleased at the attention to detail she gave each one of us. The food is delicious...we had the usual mid-week night out menu...wings, fried pickles, fries & beer......speaking of beer. If you are a fan of Black & Tans, look no further!!!! Its hard finding a well made Black & Tan and I found one...the BEST!!!!Will be back soon...and thats a promise!!
Poor management. Obvious owner has never owned a food establishment before. Poor training. Busboy should be trained to cash out orders to optimize flow of traffic or hire on another staff. Server shouldnt have to deal with so many tables. Abnormally busy lunch but it showed alot of ways the restaurant needs improvement, not just paying for decor.
Good live cover bands! Food is excellent. Typical bar food choices, but with a gourmet taste and delivery! I wish there was an actual dance floor, but the beer selection, food, and music make up for that.
The staff is amazing! The prices are a little high, but it’s overall a great place if your looking to get a drink with an old friend or have lunch with your family!

The new owner did a great job transforming the building! Awesome drink selection. Staff was super sweet! It was very crowded and no seats were available but didnt have to wait long for a table to open up. The Band Southside of the Tracks was playing and they rocked the house!! Hopefully they will play there again! Cant wait to go back and try a few more of their specialty drinks! The scooby snack shot was soooo yummy!!

Place is set up well , and very nice. However , me and my family stopped in for the first time. Our order for food was forgotten to be put in 2 times --- one margarita tasted completely different then the other had to send back - server literally said --- oh ill ask the other bartender to make new one she makes them better !!! My boy friend and I ordered well liquor shots , and drinks. We was very specific about this. We do not like to spend big money on a night out- however we tip very well !!! We got our tab it was $90.00The well liquors was Jack Daniels & Herradura ---- Not cool- thats is not customer service - and when we talked about it to our server we was told to to take it up with the bar tender - prices of everything was insane - ill go to atl and have a better night --- not in Paulding county lol
Went to play poker. The atmosphere is nice. I really like that they dont allow smoking in there. I had the burger. It was good. I think they should have some pool tables in there. Thats the only thing there missing. And add a grill chicken sandwhich to the menu.
Great venue for live music. Love the cleanliness of the interior and the service is always good. I havent eaten here yet, but hear the food is great. Only place in Paulding I would go for live entertainment and drinks.

On 12.31.2020 around 5PM We walked in stood at the podium, no direction on if it was self seating or waiter seating. 5 girls all standing behind the bar chatting. Finally one says seat yourself. We do, then sit at our table for 5 minutes still no one comes to greet the table. All 5 girls still chatting and laughing behind the bar. We left to take out money to an establishment that wants our money. HORRIBLE SERVICE.Keep in mind there was 2 other tables with patrons.
I went there last Saturday, 3/21/2020 I saw their ad on Facebook $1 off all beers. Thought to go me and my friend, eat/drink and support our local businesses.Find out Beers were not $1 off at all, regular priced. Frozen chicken didn’t get to cook well and they serve it. Just awful.We left and went Hiram station beers were $3 dollars, I wish I would’ve went there instead in the beginning.
Service was slow. Food took away to long to be cooked and was delivered to our table at different times....people in our party were paying their tabs while food was still being delivered to the table for other members of our party.
Great place, non-smoking, great food and service. Great place to go if you are a biker or not one. Excellent music venue and the owners want to make sure everyone has a fun and safe time. Cant wait to go back.
Good buildout and friendly staff. Food looked good but we didnt order. Prices are entirely too high. Drinking in Buckhead is cheaper and you dont get upcharged for mixers. Low/no smoke was a plus too.
Awesome Night Club!! Finally a classy place opened up in the NW area. There was a line out the door to come in and they had to stop letting people to enter due to the fact they were only allowed to fill X-amount of people in the club. Which I agree. It was packed to the maximum number allowed!! So much fun!! Nice owner.

Sat for at least 20 min before anyone asked if we wanted anything. Waitress on the floor would look at us and stick nose up and keep on walking. Food wasnt too bad. The bar made good drinks.

Grab a bite to eat while you’re there, the Wings are above par and the Burgers are smack yo Momma good!! Great people and a friendly staff. I look forward to going back very soon.

This place is exactly what Hiram needed, literally a breath of fresh air. (Non-smoking) Very well executed for a brand new establishment that’s trying to do things differently! Chicken ceaser salad was on point for lunch, fried cauliflower with wing sauce appetizer was amazing as well. Can’t wait to see this place as it gets a little time under its belt and as it evolves. Prices are crazy cheap for the quality. Looks like they are booking bands and some acoustic talant, patio is going to great when the warmer weather hits. This will definitely be my new spot when I’m in the area. Keep up the good work 278 South!
It was a nice time and good band but, paying 25$ for a pitcher of domestic beer...I will never spend another dollar at this establishment.

Food was good... Had a little problem with the server not being around as much as she should have been. Great band!
Servers were friendly, food was good and prepared as requested. I initially thought it was a bit pricey but as I saw several different plates come out I decided that the amount of food given was good for the prices.
I have ate lunch here several times. The food is always very good!

Service was very slow. The food was bland and not worth the price. The beer selection was small and unimpressive.
High prices. Waitress never returned with our drinks during the half hour we waited after ordering. Got up and left.

Amazing food and great service, the adult grilled cheese is the best thing on the menu and I highly recommend it.....that being said if the meat on it had Boars Head it would top off the sandwich and make it undesirable, we will be back many times.

2022-04-01Love this business! Not perfect every time. Food is usually well prepared. Service here waivers from poor to excellent. If you want good food in a comfy atmosphere, give them a try. I dont visit them for thier late night events.

2021-09-26Good for a couple beers. Food is pretty typical and pretty tasty sports bar fare. However, the 278 Smash Burger was disappointing. Somebody needs to YouTube how to make a smash burger because what I got was more like what youd expect from a backyard grill and was in no way a smash burger. Not a bad burger in general, but poorly executed and extremely disappointing when youre expecting the food to match what was described on the menu.

2022-01-24Came here with my wife on a Saturday. Sat at a high top and ordered food and 2 beers each. The band was setting up, and there were several reserved tables closer to the stage for a birthday party, our table was not marked reserved, nor were ones next to ours. We decided to stay to see the band, then an employee places a reserved sign on our table, but says take your time. Ok. Then we noticed another party at an already reserved (not for them) table talking to our server and looking over at us. We got curious thinking, Are they giving our table away to their friends? So my wife just goes over and asks the party, Are you waiting on a reserved table?. They said yes and point to our table. So the wait staff gave our table away to their friends, who then walked over and stood around us while I guzzle my beer to get out of this place. Not going back again ever. Keep in mind there were any number of other tables they could have arbitrarily marked as reserved.

2022-05-30My wife, kids, and myself traveled from Douglasville since we ran across the menu and the food sounded good. We sat down as the sign asked as to seat ourselves and I didn’t time it but I know I’ve never been in a restaurant that long and not even be acknowledged. No one even came over to say “we’ll be with you” or anything. Hopefully it was not because we looked different from the other patrons

2022-05-29Visiting on a last second whim on our trip to GA (FL native). Service was excellent. Security was approachable and seemed to be happy to be there. Played darts and enjoying a cliche white claw, lol. I heard they used to have pool tables, so that’s why I initially went there - no pool tables anymore, but still had a great time. A motorcycle vibe with a 25-40yr crowd. Had a great time!

2022-06-27The in-laws came into town and wanted to see live music. Everything was good at dinner. The fries were over salted and the sandwiches were really greasy, but its a bar. Pretty good bar food. The food took forever to come, but the server was very nice.Later that night I was spraying out the back end, if you know what I mean. The next morning the Misses was too. Father in law reported trouble, mother in law pleaded the 5th.We also came down with Covid a few days afterwards. This place was the only place we went besides a grocery store. We arent 100% sure if we got it from here, but it is bar vs grocery store.Overall not a great experience.
