Ugh— SO disappointed!! There’s nothing worse than spending $200 on food that you could have got ANYWHERE else for $50. We saw the menu for this restaurant on OpenTable and thought it would be perfect for a double date. WRONG.We sat on the patio, which was very nice, if you ignore the street noise. Our server was also very pleasant and attentive as we waited for the rest of our party to join us. We did noticed she was the only one servicing the patio— which was the first red flag, seeing as it was getting busy.Once the rest of our party arrived we immediately put in appetizers, and those came out timely and the food was….fine. We had the fried goat cheese and the hush puppies. Both a 7/10 I would say. Then we put in our main dishes and waited. And waited and waited. 45 minutes passed, other tables who were seated wayyyy after us had been served their meals and still we waited. Once we finally received our food, mine (the short rib) and my friend’s (the lamb chops) were over cooked and completely COLD. My boyfriend’s burger took the longest to get to us and was also sub-par. The lettuce on it was hardly a single leaf beyond wilted (like it died in the window) and he said for Wagyu it was pretty tasteless. The other gentleman at our table got the gumbo and said the taste was off as well. We were all pretty put off at that point and we’re ready to leave. For about $35+ a plate that was NOT the quality food we were expecting. We all left full but very dissatisfied in the quality of the food.We would have said something to our server, but what were we going to do? Wait another hour for all fresh meals? Almost $200 later and we will NEVER be dining here again. Please take my word for it and EAT ELSEWHERE.
My husband and I went out to celebrate our anniversary. We went here in hopes of a fine dining experience but it was far from that. The food was literally inedible (specifically the filet and mashed potatoes; KFC probably has better mashed potatoes). The womens bathroom was filthy (I’ll spare the details).
This is our first time returning to the Partridge Inn restaurant since post renovations. We enjoyed coming here for dinner, especially when there is a live Band. Although they changed the menu, the food was delicious. My main disappointment was our server, I believe his name is Robert C, but I can’t say for sure because I do not recall him introducing himself. He was friendly, but I felt the service he provided to us wasn’t the same as the service he provided to others; he wasn’t as attentive and unfortunate we had to ask him for things instead of him asking us if we needed anything. (Things such as silverware, straws, requested a specific item with our drink and they didn’t have it and he didn’t let us know until he brought out the drink and we had to switch our drink out because it wasn’t good). The thing that lead me to write this review was that he brought our “bill” out on a piece of paper (see pic) and said here’s your bill. All I ask is for fairness when serving customers. It was clear he treated us differently. Not sure if I will return(the food was really good) but I hope this restaurant speak to their staff about providing good customer drive and treating everyone fair.
We spent the night at Partridge Inn, celebrating a special occasion, and had reservations at PI Bar & Grill. The restaurant was amazing, with superb food, a wonderful staff (Stephanie was our server), and inviting atmosphere. This was one of our best dining experiences ever. Thank you!
Will never be back again. We Had a 9:45 am reservation and we didn’t get served our food (we are talking eggs and bacon) until almost 11:00am. There was not even a lot of customers there eating. However I saw a ton of employees. Not sure what they were doing with their time, but it’s obvious they are disorganized and have difficulty managing their tasks. Finally, The restrooms were disgusting and unclean.
Please beware reserving dinner at their restaurants. We had reserved a table for 6 South on Friday of Masters week for months in advance, and it was cancelled with no explanation 4 days prior. Of course there are no alternatives available now. Despite multiple calls to the hotel and emails to management, no response or alternative was given. Extremely unprofessional to cancel a reservation with no outreach and such little lead time to find an alternative. I would avoid relying on this business if at all possible.
My only regret going here is that I only had time to go for one meal and wont be able to try the other items on the menu.I was hesitant to bring my family here seeing the 4 star average review. My wife and kids are a bit picky when it comes to food. This trip was also a special occasion which I didnt want to ruin with a bad dinner beforehand. The P I Bar & Grill did not disappoint. The place is beautiful. The food was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meals, even the kids (which is a small miracle). The service was prompt and polite. The selection is a bit limited, but unique and interesting and spanning from very simple to rather adventurous giving opportunity for everyone to find something they are looking for.The prices appear a bit in the high side when you first look at the menu, but then you see that many of the meals suggest that they feed 2 instead of just 1 bringing the prices back in line.We all sampled each others selections (even the kids). We all enjoyed each others selections as well.
Yes, I absolutely loved it. The band was nice and enjoyable and Patty was the best waitress. Although we received an outdated menu and Patty had to come to the table twice to tell me the duck or the lamb chop wasnt available anymore, I was not disappointed with my pork chop. Our meal was delicious, Patty was professional, friendly, and super sweet. We will definitely be back!!!
We stayed at The Partridge Inn after a week long road trip. The hotel was great. The staff was great. The food at P.I. Grill was HORRIBLE. My husband ordered the 24oz porter house and it was chewy and over seasoned. He ordered it medium rare. They also charged us $5 for three stalks of asparagus. We are not afraid to pay for good food but come on, that was ridiculous. I ordered the fried chicken with Mac n cheese and collards. I got 4 small pieces of chicken and the saltiest collards that ever existed. My grandmother just rolled over in her grave with the amount of salt they used. Any respecting southerner knows to not use THAT MUCH SALT.. Save yourself some cabbage and order DoorDash. The food sucks.
The porch is nice and the staff was friendly but VERY slow. The prices are ridiculous for what is provided. My wife had the scallops which were the best thing ordered all night. There were 3 scallops in the order. They were supposed to be served with risotto. That was not a disaster as the grits were tastey. I had the ribeye ($48) which was, no joke, half fat and grizzle and drowned in butter. It was not marbled, it was about 7 oz of meat with the remainder of the claimed 16oz being fat. I ordered grilled asparagus as a side. There were 5 very thin spears for $7. We also had a southern sampler for an appetizer. It has some cured meats )some of which had turned gray 😳), pimento cheese(pretty good), fried green tomatoes with habañero hot sauce (not bad), candied bacon and pickled okra. It took about 2.5 hours (our waitress was on her phone by the restrooms most of the evening) to complete the meal which came in at over $200. I really wanted to like this restaurant. Im sorry to say that I cannot recommend it.
The food in the Augusta location was not good my husbands hush puppies were raw the first time and over cooked when the waiter brought them back, chicken breast was raw in the middle, and the desserts tasted like it was frost bitten. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is for the waiter she was good. The restaurant and food no Stars even after the food was sent back to manager or supervisor came out to apologize, the waiter did
Pleasantly surprised, nice atmosphere, and the live band was excellent. Ashley was great! She was friendly and also let us sample a item. She went above and beyond! Portion sizes were very generous and food was very delicious. Every staff member we encountered at the hotel was very friendly.
Amazing restaurant! First time in Augusta. Coming from Charleston we are use to amazing food... This restaurant boasted a beautiful view, lovely atmosphere, great music and delicious food. It really made our anniversary special. The customer service was above and beyond! I recommend the filet... It was tender and beyond delicious!!
My wife and I tried PI Bar and Grill for a special occasion dinner. We had a beautiful and delicious dinner on the outside deck seating area of PI Bar and Grill. Gas/fire heaters spaced out across the deck provided extra warmth in the early December Saturday evening. The service was friendly / welcoming as well. Good food. Slightly fancy, but still low-key, if that makes sense.
We had reservation made for Easter buffet. Upon arrival we had to wait for about 5-7 minutes for someone to acknowledge us for seating. Once we were acknowledged, we were taken to a table that is still dirty, we were asked to wait, as they host clean the table (wiped most scraps from the table to the floor with wet stains on the table). I grabbed a towel and wiped it all down once more so it was suitable for my wife and I. We sat and waited for 10 minutes, my wife refused to wait longer and went to the buffet. I sat and wait for drink orders and silverware/napkins. My wife made it back and nothing ever came. At this point I was very upset and demand a manager, she came by, took our order and at the end she took one meal off (not necessary but thanks). Most of the wait staff here were nice while the other half just didn’t care, there was a lack of consistency and respect to the business. I may be back for drinks but never to dine, that was it for me.
This establishment is amazing! Great food and wonderful service. There was live music. Whoever that gentleman was playing the guitar had me rocking and swaying the whole time. The atmosphere was also great with several seating options. I stayed there as well but many people just came for the restaurant. Highly recommend!
This is one of the best restaurants we have done in. The food was awesome, 5 stars to the chef. Service was terrific, 5 stars to Stephanie! Our first night eating there was so great we went the second night during our stay at the Partridge Inn. We will return during our next trip to Augusta.
Celebrated our mother’s retirement with dinner at P.I. And drinks on the rooftop. The staff was super friendly and decorated our table ahead of time. Art of Xpression was live on Saturday night and played classics we could get up and dance to. Such a blast. I will come back next time I’m in town.
I hate to leave bad reviews but our experience here recently was bad to the point that I dont plan on returning. We had a party of 10-15 people and there was literally only one other table with guests in the place so it definitely wasnt busy. We had two servers and it still took close to half an hour for anyone to get a drink and our orders to be taken which only happened because I had to get up and ask one of the two servers if we could please order our food. The food then took more than 45 min to come out and our server began reading off the dessert list as they were giving us our entree. The food was not especially good and definitely not worth the price they sell it at. The Partridge Inn is a beautiful place but needs major work when it comes to customer service.
It was our first time and I can honestly say I was not impressed. My meal wasnt good, my salmon came to the table halfway cooked, the baked oyster werent done. For the restaurant to be so upscale with high priced food, I think the food should of been a lot better. The live entertainment was minimal based on what was advertised as a live jazz performance. Very dissatisfied.
I was attending an engagement dinner. To my understanding the guests left because they didnt enjoy the food but I decided to stay and try it. I walked in, the receptionist was at a table instead of the front desk with her back turned to the entrance. After saying excuse me a few times I got get attention to get directions. Stephanie was my waitress and she was AMAZING! I had the lobster as an appetizer.. it was good. I ordered the red fish and my husband ordered the salmon. My meal looked sloppy and unappetizing and tasted BLAND however my husband liked it enough to swap plates with me. The salmon was requested to be cooked medium, it appeared burned the rice was cold and hard. I told stephanie and she brought out the manager who asked me if I had food restrictions- I advised I dont eat pork so he recommended the shrimp and grits. I took him up on that. The dish comes out and its LOADED with diced pork sausage. Its been years since Ive been there and will likely be years before I consider returning.
I recently had my birthday brunch there and it was amazing. Tom was the best in organizing everything with us prior to the event and Wanda executed everything wonderfully. There was a little miscommunication about the food being displayed but Wanda worked everything out for us and we were extremely satisfied. We had the fried chicken and salmon and my guest could not stop raving about the food. It was all delicious. My birthday dinner turned into an engagement party and I’m glad it was at the Partridge Inn. Thanks for everything!
This was a Thursday night not crowded at all. Service was terrible, two people waiting on our party. You had to ask for more water or another beverage. Took over 30 minutes for the meal to be served once they were ordered. Again not that many people in he restaurant. Prior to going to the restaurant we went to the lounge. There was only a bartender, who was very busy, but no one to bus the area, looked terrible with glasses and bottles still left around. Will say the valet service was excellent.
In an absolutely gorgeous setting, the restaurant at The Partridge Inn is a reminder of the glory days of travel when one felt like a king in every facet of the hotel experience. With a fine sampling of well-prepared American fare and service to match, the PI Bar and Grill is an excellent eating destination for both guests and visitorsWhile the selection at PI Bar and Grill isnt as expansive as some restaurants, the chef clearly excels at what is available. I had the crab-stuffed lobster, which was prepared perfectly - the crab was spiced and flavorful, almost like a crab cake, while the lobster was almost untouched, allowing one to appreciate its natural flavors. My dinner companion had the beef short ribs, which were perfectly cooked and fall-off-the-bone tender. Each meal was also extremely well-portioned, and between the appetizers and desserts, we left stuffed. The wine list did leave something to be desired, as the cellar consists almost exclusively of New World vintages and some humdrum Old World favorites. That being said, I was extremely impressed with the house wine, which complemented the dinner very well. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, and while our particular waitress seemed a little flustered when asked for wine recommendations, her knowledge of the food was above reproach and her friendly, engaged demeanor and speedy service really helped top off the evening.I would recommend the P.I Bar & Grill for fun yet formal gatherings with friends, families, or coworkers, and it is an especially fun little outing for people who are visiting Augusta.
I had the P.I. Omelette and hash browns. The omelette itself was amazing and the hash browns were really cubed fried potatoes. Service was a struggle from the start. There were empty dirty tables next to our family and we had to ask for them to clear it so we could sit next to them. If that didnt make it obvious that someone would be sitting there Im not sure what would. We gave our drink order three times to finally get water and orange juice. I have been in food service before so Im not sure if they had a shift change or what but that was a fairly poor start to breakfast. Once they figured out who was going to wait on us service was fine.
The cuisine I was served was very tasty the meat was not dry neither was the asparagus the rice was not crunchy and things were served to me in a timely fashion. Needless to say the ombi yachts of the establishment was great dishes were not dirty and the floor was clean everything was well kept the servers did a magnificent job.
We had a beautiful view from the balcony and thats the best part of our experience. It took over 10 minutes to get our waters and a coffee, I had to go inside and ask for drinks again. We went for breakfast buffet, ordered omlettes and a waffle. We went to look at the rest off the buffet and there was no food. We asked when they were putting out more food they said 1130, it was 9:45! Then when I asked for another waffle the cook said he doesnt have any batter. 5 minutes later, someone walks out to the balcony with a fresh waffle! I dont know if they typed class us because we were in casual wear and everyone else was dressed nice or what. Very disappointing experience. Ended up having to order food because buffet was empty.
The food was not seasoned, not tasty but pricey. The menu item suggested candid pecans but I was served plain pecans on my beet and tomato salad. When questioned, I was simply told they did not have any. Some of the roasted potatoes were uncooked and the sweet potato hash was tasteless.
We dined at the Christmas buffet with a 2pm reservation. For $40 per person it was horrible. The best part of the meal was the salad. Buffet items ran out and were not replenished quickly--if at all. We waited 15 minutes for shrimp cocktail, which was good once a very small amount of shrimp was brought out and quickly snapped up. Entrees werent replenished on a timely basis or at all--for instance a salmon dish. The carving board was awful--overly done beef that appeared to be a cheap cut and dry pork. Some sides were cold, such as the sweet potatoes. And for Christmas dinner... no turkey or traditional sides. This was a huge disappointment. I selected a piece of fried chicken (all that was offered was thighs), sweet potatoes that werent hot, and macaroni & cheese, which was pretty good. Desserts were decent, although the cheesecake was Costco quality. We wont be back. Just a sad experience for a special Christmas dinner.
My fiancee and i frequent here often on most Sundays after church. We love their brunch menu, or should i say loved. I say loved because they are under new management so they decided to take away the brunch menu and go back to the buffet style that they once were. BAD DECISION!!!! We got up this morning with our tastebuds craving some chicken and waffles and were sadly disappointed by the news that the brunch menu was no longer available. We were about to leave and try somewhere else, but we stayed and gave the new menu a try. Needless to say that we did not enjoy it at all. Note to management: BRING BACK THE BRUNCH MENU!!!!
My party and I had a reservation for Easter Brunch, which we decided to wait it out in their courtyard holding cell for 45 mins. When we were finally called up we had to wait another 10 mins in a line in the restaurant. Then our table was laughable. It was still wet, no napkins or silverware. It took 20 mins to finally figure out who our server was. My husband had to get his own beer from the bar. The food was fine, but always out along with plates. Note for parents with children in diapers, no changing table available. Overall the service was horrible, the wait ridiculous and not once were we offered compensation or condolences for their screw up. Cost was way too high for even a good day.
My family and friends really enjoyed this restaurant. The hostess was extremely funny and our waitress was awesome. The food was really good and the view outside was priceless. I would of rated this restaurant with five stars; however, it took a while for the food to be served.
The food was so-so at best. The service was horrible. It’s overpriced and not to mention, I was with a party of 7 so the gratuity was added at the highest percentage rate which wasn’t close to being deserved. I won’t be returning & I will be quick to share my experience with family & friends. It took an hour for the server to get our checks straight. It was a mess of her own making.
Hugely disappointing. I had a chopped romaine salad with salmon. The romaine lettuce was way past the point of being fresh; on top was exactly three grape tomatoes, a few stale croutons, and some shaved parmesan cheese. The salmon on top was two sorry looking pieces totaling maybe three ounces. For this I paid $15 (not including the tip). This was arguably the WORST salad I have ever been served in a restaurant of any kind. I will not go back nor would I recommend this place to anyone for any reason.
Bartender continually disappeared. I am totally understanding of her needing change (this is exactly where the manager told me she went) but most certainly a more effective method needs to be considered so a bartender doesnt have to leave patrons unattended...hence tend in bartending. Literally every time I wanted a fresh glass of wine she was gone. Bartending 101 says the more the bartender is present, the more opportunity for revenue. Im just here to help. The pork mac was so delicious and omg the live music was perfect!
This is a good place to end a date night, if you can go on a night with live music. We like to sit on the roof or outside on the balcony area, the have some of the best outside seating areas in Augusta.I give it 4 stars because it can be hit and miss, some nights here can be dead and not so fun.
Listen, hands down the best fried chicken in GA!Took my husband here for his birthday dinner and we got the ginger bbq short rib and duck fat fried chicken 🤤 Im not a big fan of fried chicken but this was divine. Perfectly cooked, great flavor and crunch. The greens were superb and I don anyones greens, mac n cheese was nice and creamy done simple and well. Drinks were great as well definitely a must come

2022-04-12The staff were very pleasant and accommodating! They went above and beyond to make sure my family and I were satisfied. The food was delicious, drinks were tasty and the atmosphere was beautiful. Lashaye, the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage came by, introduced herself and made sure our dining experience was going well. She made us feel very welcomed and made us feel as if we were family. She invited us back to come check out the rooftop bar when it opens up soon. I will not hesitate to recommend 8595 Restaurant & Bar to family and friends. They exceeded all our expectations!

2022-06-08My fiancé wanted to take me somewhere nice for dinner so we decided to try this restaurant. It is advertised as a fine dining establishment but our experience is best described as fine. The entrance to the restaurant was difficult to find but when we entered, we were promptly greeted and sat. We did have a reservation in order to make this process easier. Our server greeted us not long after being seated. He was training someone and they both were incredibly nice. Our server was not able to come to our table as much so we were practically given service by the trainee. We ordered our drinks and received them in a timely manner. The Whale Flower which I believe to be the name of the cocktail I ordered tasted watered down but I finished it anyway. My fiancé sat with an empty water glass at least twice for maybe 5 minutes each time despite the server coming over and seeing the empty glass. We ordered the jalapeño pimento cheese hush puppies as an appetizer. There wasnt really any pimento cheese unless it was incorporated into the batter of the hushpuppy. However, they tasted fine. For entrees, my fiancé ordered the Waygu burger. For such a prime selection of meat, the presentation of the burger fell flat. The cut of the tomato was not uniform, the lettuce was wilting, and the burger patty itself was bland. He also got the mac and cheese as a side. It had great flavor but was more warm than it was hot. I ordered the 14oz New York strip. The taste of the steak was nice. It had a delicious char on the outside but the inside wasnt uniformly cooked. One side of the steak was medium-rare while the other side was medium (the temperature I ordered). I also got the jambalaya and collards as sides. The jambalaya had great flavor and was hot, however the cut of the sausage in the jambalaya was not uniform and the large cuts seemed out of place in such a small side. My first serving of collards were cold and had to be sent back. My second serving was hotter but bland. After we finished our entrées, we ordered dessert through the trainee. I unfortunately misspoke and asked for the cheesecake instead of the creme brulee. I wouldve eaten the cheesecake but I am allergic to pecans. When I brought this to our servers attention he seemed very annoyed but had the trainee bring out the creme brulee anyway. The dish that yhe creme brulee came served in was rather shallow. Tje top was barely brown so I was surprised to find that the bit of custard underneath the sugar was partially liquid. We also ordered the raspberry macaroon for dessert. The shell was rather tough meaning it was either overbaked or was no longer fresh. Overall we didnt feel as if the quality of the food matched the price we paid for it. Weve had better food that was slightly less expensive at restaurants very similar to this one. We probably wont be dining here again.

2022-06-25Server was great and food was well prepared. However when the bill came at the end, I noticed immediately that we were overcharged on all 3 of our entrees by $20!!! So took a good dinner and time and completely ruined the meal. Everyone check your bill at the end as I happened to overhear another patron being overcharged also but caught it like I did. Showing picture also 2 steaks and salmon bill and menu side by side.

2022-06-08Excellent venue for gatherings. We had our daughters college graduation dinner done here and it turned out to be more than what we could have hoped for. We opted for a private room with a pleasant view which was perfect for a quiet, intimate atmosphere. Wanda and Lashae did a wonderful job coordinating, and they bent over backwards to meet our requests . Our server, Juan, was very friendly and accommodating. He anticipated our needs and always made sure that we were taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the duck fat fried chicken and the mac and cheese. The salad with their signature house dressing was a big hit too, and for dessert, everyone was raving about the caramel pecan cheesecake! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and it was apparent that everyone had a great time, we will be coming back for sure!

2021-08-24This was the favorite part of our stay - the bar and the restaurant! We visited twice during our two night stay and meals are delicious and the drinks are strong. The downside is that we were guests in the hotel and had to make reservations via OpenTable any time we wanted to visit. It was an inconvenience to say the least.

2022-04-20The renovation at the PI is spectacular! The staff is friendly and welcoming. Easter brunch included the Easter bunny, and eggs for the kids. The food was good, not great, but good. Meat choices were beef, ham, fried chicken and shrimp. They had greens, black eye peas, limas and string beans. Mac and cheese. Salad. Omelet bar, bacon, sausage grits and potatoes. On the bar, they had fruit and rolls as well as a charcuterie tray. No oysters or smoked salmon. The price of $59.99 per person was disclosed on our check (coffee, tea and soft drinks were NOT included in the price) but the mandatory $50 tip added for our family of four was not. After the sales tax, brunch cost $90 per person. We enjoyed ourselves, but not worth $360.00.

2022-05-01For the price you’re better off finding another fine dining restaurant. The steaks tasted like Applebee’s and many items were unavailable. Hostess was too busy on her phone to greet us. Skip it.

2022-05-08Mothers day brunch: service was very slow and didnt pick up our plates (this was a buffet). The customers were ignored by the waitresses the whole time. The food was VERY bland and the only item that was decent was the prime rib. Wont come back. My Mothers day was a huge disappointment, please dont waste your money and time here.

2022-04-14Only one word awful. We walked out. I have never reviewed another restaurant because I have never witnessed such a mess as this place. Hostess was sleeping with her head down on the hostess stand when we walked in. Once she woke up she suggested we to go to the bar. We then waited over an hour for our table even though we had a reservation. Once we were seated we were beside a stand with dirty dishes that smelled and were stacked up. Lighting was like flood lights. No atmosphere. Would never recommend this restaurant.
