I am so grateful that I found Dr. Ackerman. After years of visiting other Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists and receiving dry needling I have felt the most pain relief with his adjustments. He is patient, explains everything in a way that is easy for you to understand and most importantly is very positive. His technique seems different from all the other Doctors I have been to and it is super effective. I was in a lot of pain when I first visited him and after my 3rd visit I was feeling close to 100%. I definitely recommend Ackerman Chiropractic.
Highly recommend Dr. Ackerman, he is a very good chiropractor and healer. I drive 45 minutes to go to his practice. Friendly office and there is never a long wait for your appointment.
Ever since my family and I moved to Georgia 9 years ago, I have had some pretty bad seasonal allergies every spring season, and in the last few years, the symptoms got worse for me. However, after doing Dr. Ackermans laser treatment for seasonal allergies, I have been feeling much better and have been able to go outside and enjoy the outdoors without having to take medication and worry about my allergies! Also, the treatment itself was easy! Its made up of 12 sessions that are 10 to 15 minutes long each, and Sam, who is in charge of the sessions, was very welcoming and friendly and made the process even easier. I truly am thankful for everything!
I first visited Ackerman Chiropractic for chiropractic therapy and could not have been more pleased with the office generally or Dr. Scott specifically and have been recommending it ever since. While visiting one day I noticed their promotional signage for Cold Laser Therapy. Frankly, it sounded a bit like the latest gee-whiz treatment to come along so had largely dismissed it. But out of curiosity, I asked Sam who delivers the therapy, more about it. It apparently is effective for a wide variety of maladies even smoking cessation. But what most resonated with me was pain management as Ive had major and sometimes debilitating pain in my right big toe for over 20 years, to the point where the orthopedist indicated the only remedy was surgery to fuse the bones so it doesnt bend. As I was not yet inclined to do that, the condition and the pain remained untreated. In the alternative, the cost of a laser therapy visit was $40 so I decided to take a gamble, albeit it with extremely doubtful expectations. Imagine my surprise, however, when after just one treatment, 3 days later the 20 years of pain was completely gone making a complete believer of me! I cannot overstate my satisfaction and would recommend everyone try at least 1 visit for whatever conditions it is recommended. Thank you Sam and the Ackerman Chiropractic Center!!

Dr Ackerman was recommended to me by a friend for laser acupuncture. I have pretty bad seasonal allergies & in the last few years they had become much worse. Dr Ackermans practice is a very welcoming place & everyone was very helpful. Sam was informative & friendly & clearly very passionate about the work. It was such an easy process, 12 sessions and each one was about 15mins. I didnt take any allergy medication while doing the treatment & except for some congestion & a week or so of some itching of my eyes, I felt good. Its the best season Ive had in a very long time so I am excited to see how things go with future seasons.

I have been struggling with depression and anxiety for several years and have tried several therapists and medicines but nothing seemed to work. A few weeks ago my parents signed me up for cold laser therapy and nutrition response testing, both which are provided by Sam Ackerman. At first I was skeptical and convinced that it wouldn’t work as I had given up hope in trying to get better. However, after a few sessions I began to notice a difference. I was finally calm and more clear minded. I could enjoy my day without having negative and unwanted thoughts. Im very thankful that I was given the opportunity to undergo these treatments and I would definitely recommend this for anyone else who is struggling with anything similar to me.
I have been a patient of Dr. Ackermans off and on for several years. I started seeing him again when I moved back to the area and love him. He is always so gentle and is one of the few chiropractors who is able to adjust my neck. One day I asked about the allergy treatments and decided to give it a try. I have several food allergies and was tired of constantly trying to avoid these foods. I was hopeful but slightly skeptical that it would work. I went through treatments with Sam and when I finished I tried eggs for the first time in 5 years and had no adverse reaction! I highly recommend this treatment for anyone that suffers from allergies.
I had been dealing with tennis elbow for quite a while. I went in to do some cold laser therapy for it as a last ditch effort to heal up. I was kinda skeptical because I was unfamiliar with the process but I was provided with some great resources prior to my visit. The guy whole was helping me, Sam, was also great about answering all my questions. I went in for only two sessions and the results were amazing. I saw a significant increase in the healing process. I would completely recommend if you are considering. Great experience!
Dr. Ackerman is who I go to when I have any back pain. If I stick to my ‘once a month’ routine, I feel very little pain. When I do something like lift something heavy or stand for a long time, I have aching pain all day. I go the Dr. Ackerman and I can feel the instant relief. Sometimes it takes more than one visit to feel normal again, but it’s worth the time to follow his direction.
I arrived and was immediately seen. The consultation was quick but detailed, then we went right to work. Next thing I know Im standing straight up, with no pain, and walking to my car. I have a lot of work to do on my back, I hope every visit is like this one.
Back in March, I had a pretty rough accident that ended with me being unable to weight my foot at all. A friend of mine who had seen Sam on the past recommended that I try out the cold laser therapy.I went in skeptical, having never heard of cold laser before. Sam explained the entire process to me in laymans terms, and he was very knowledgeable about the ins-and-outs if the procedure. After three laser treatments, the swelling in my foot had decreased significantly, and the pain was essentially gone. Its now been five months, and Im able to run around like I was never hurt in the first place.Attached is a photo of my foot two days after the accident. Due to memory restrictions of doing a review on my phone, Im not able to add the foot today.
Dr. Ackerman and staff are phenomenal. The health improvement options offered are second to none. Over 10 years ago, I suffered from severe allergies and started receiving treatment using the BAX 3000 / PTL machines. Once completed, I no longer had the sensitivity issues. My two sons have had similar problems and completed the treatment with full success at eliminating allergy symptoms. If you are looking to improve your health, I highly recommend this center!!!

I have been going to Dr. Scott Ackerman for over 20 years. Hes helped me keep mobile and pain free - hes been a godsend over the years.I also recently completed the Cold Laser treatment with Sam Ackerman for my sinus and gastro issues, and while my symptoms havent completely gone away they have significantly lessoned over the course of the treatment. I would advise everyone to give it a try.
Ive had bad acne on my chin, forehead, and back for years. I tried using a lot of different treatments. I’ve tried just about all of the over the counter acne medications and washes, but it didnt help. Ackerman Chiropractic has an allergy treatment program, and I decided to try it. The treatment had figured out that I have had a gluten allergy. Sam worked on my gluten allergy using the laser treatment and my acne has almost completely cleared in 3 weeks! My face is clearer and my stomach is also less bloated. Highly recommend, it worked great for me.
Ive had a dairy/milk allergy my whole life. Lactose has always hurt my stomach a lot. I heard about the allergy treatment from a friend, and decided to try it. And WOW!! I was shocked! 2 weeks after trying the allergy treatment program and I just finished drinking a MILKSHAKE! And it didnt hurt my stomach at all! The laser treatment was painless and only took 15 minutes. The staff was also really friendly. Sam was knowledgeable and explained everything really well about how it works. Highly recommend anyone with allergies to consider trying this treatment program! Its a better alternative to using allergy shots or taking drugs. 10/10!!!

Went to see Dr Ackerman last week for the first time. I started seeing relief the next day, which was really nice. Super friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend his practice to anyone.
My Mom, which is in her early 70s had an allergy treatment done, for pollen, and others, and she had a very good result and experience with Sam who was very helpful. I do recommend the allergy treatment for those who want a well being in the spring and winter season, but overall very great experience! The staff there is very nice!!
I was honestly really nervous about seeing a chiropractor but Dr. Ackerman was amazing. He first sat down with me and really listened to everything I had to say during the consultation. He thoroughly explained everything he did before he did it and I have to say, 24 hours later, the specific pain I had is now no longer an issue. If you want a chiropractor that is nice, attentive, and knowledgeable, look no further. Also 5 stars to the front desk, super nice when I called to make an appointment, super nice when I arrived, and super nice when I was all done.
I’m a climber and started having a slight tennis elbow issue that was developing. Sam got me in first thing in the morning and treated my elbow with laser therapy and it seemed to not be giving me any more issues after just one visit. He also demonstrated some good stretch and warm-up techniques to assist in the prevention of any future injuries. I’ll definitely be back if injured again in the future
I smoked cigarettes for over 5 years and switched to vaping about 4 years ago. I had attempted to quit on my own numerous times (through patches, nicotine gum etc) and never succeeded. I was referred to Ackerman Chiropractic Center for their cold laser therapy. Initially I was skeptical about it and did not think it would work like everything else I had tried. Sam and Dr. Ackerman thoroughly explained the process, gave me much needed encouragement, and provided easy tips to help diminish the habitual cravings and urges. I had 3 cold laser sessions and have not vaped for 2 months. I feel great.
I had a wonderful time with the Ackermen. I had multiple finger injuries and through 15 minutes of laser therapy they were able to help my fingers recover significantly faster. They are also just fun people. Ive heard good things about their allergy relief program as well.
I sprained my ankle a couple months ago and tried out the cold laser therapy Sam recommended. It actually seemed to help alleviate the pain, inflammation, and bruising a lot faster than if I just let it heal on it’s own. Staff was super friendly and professional! 11/10 would recommend!

I started my cold laser therapy about a month ago due to a sharp knee pain and tennis elbow. Powerlifting and calisthenics put a lot of stress on my body, and this laser treatment has changed the game for me! I was able to quickly recover with consistent treatments and continue my training with no pain or risk of injury! I recommend anyone who is experiencing pain from overtraining to try this cold laser therapy! Also the adjustments are amazing too. It feels great when you’re feeling 100% after these sessions!
Sam Ackerman helped me recover from a severe finger injury. I went through several treatments with his cold laser therapy machine. To my surprise my finger responded to the treatments right away and two months later I am almost back to 100%. Would recommend for athletes looking to speed up their recovery!

I found Dr. Ackerman a couple years ago when looking for a chiropractor in our area. I’ve been to a few chiropractors previously and he’s the most honest and no-pressure practitioner by far. He’s also very knowledgeable and we trust him with our family’s needs. When my son was an infant (4-6 weeks old) developing symptoms of colic (crying, difficulty pooping, etc), we wanted to avoid meds, so we took him to Dr. Ackerman for a consult and a minor adjustment. That same night, our child was calmer and able to have an easy bowel movement! It was a marked difference for the better. So, if you’re looking for a kind, knowledgeable practitioner, look no further!

I ruptured my A2 pulley in my ring finger a few weeks ago and after doing 2 cold laser therapy sessions my finger is feeling a lot better and I am back to climbing again. Sam explained everything about what he was doing throughly. Thanks for helping me get back to climbing

I am glad that I am able to find Dr. Ackerman who practices the Gonstead method. I moved to Atlanta recently and had back pains. Dr. Ackerman took time to review my medical history and xray. After a couple of treatments, I felt great pain relief.
By far the most warming atmosphere, really feels like i am family. I feel I am valued and have not once had a bad experience . He listens, explains what he is doing and the next step. Usually same day appointments. Overall this has been the best experience. I look forward to future visits .
Dr. Ackerman isnt just a GREAT chiropractor. He definitely IS that! Hes in the right profession, because he is not only extremely proficient in the Gonstead technique, but actually quite GIFTED! I still make the drive to see him weekly, ever since I moved back tp Birmingham almost a decade ago, if that tells you anything! I made a valiant effort to find a good one in AL, to no avail. I have made significant progress, after being severely injured over a decade ago, so I wouldntrust just anyone with my very fragile spine!

Highly skilled Gonstead Chiropractor, only Chiropractor I go to. Listens to patients. Knowledgeable. I travel many hours to see Dr. Ackerman. I havent been disappointed.
I love watching the you tube videos of adjustments. There was a particular method that intrigued me. This was the Gonstead method. They ex-ray you and then adjust according to the image. So I started looking for a Chiro that followed the Gonstead method, because I was having some back pains.I found Dr. Ackerman and reached out to him. He was able to quickly find out where my problems were and fix them. He also discovered some underlying issues in my spine. I highly recommend him to anyone I meet.Thank you Dr. Ackerman!

2022-02-09This was my first visit to a chiropractor in several years. I have been treated by a number of them in the past but I could tell it was time to get adjusted again. Visited Ackerman Chiropractic Center and was very impressed. Appointment was available quickly. The approach to chiropractic is what I prefer. And Dr. Scot took the time to understand my particular needs and went right to my problem areas. I like the fact too that the doctor clearly understood my very complex health issues. I am definitely returning as a regular patient!

2022-04-02BEST chiropractor! My family and I have been seeing Dr. Scott for nearly ten years. We pass numerous other chiropractors as we cross town because the extra drive is absolutely worth it. With a very busy schedule in our family, carving time out to go has blessed our lives and health tremendously. Highly highly recommend. I go in with a headache and come out without. Can’t beat that.

2022-05-01Polite and professional environment. Was having issues with a damaged ligament that wasn’t responding to other treatments. Sam Ackerman listened attentively to my needs and treated me with care. This ligament has been damaged for 8 months and I can already feel some real improvement after my very first Cold Laser Therapy session. Highly recommend this treatment and practiceEdit: 2 months later my ligament is fully healed with no pain. Wow I have no words. Never thought one treatment could be so effective. 2022-07-01Great practice, great staff! Doc Ackerman is amazing! I’ve had several pain points in the neck and back and all have been treated successfully. Saw quick results over the course of the sessions and go back when needed because I know he’ll address the problem.Adding to my review a few months ago…Recently brought in my 10 week old son who was beginning to show slight signs of flatness to the back of his head because he really favored turning his head to the left side. Our pediatrician mentioned to get him to turn more to the right. The challenge was that he resisted and refused to turn to the right.I had no hesitation to take him to Dr. Ackerman. He did an exam and gently adjusted his neck. We started to see results that same evening! Our little one is now turning to the right easily and sleeping on his right side on a regular basis. He easily allows us to turn his head to the right, he’s able to track objects to the right whereas before he wasn’t. Saved us loads of treatment and expenses that would have come if we hadn’t had him adjusted. Thanks again Dr. A!
