Moved here from Indianapolis and bought a home. Was told I had a termite bond. I called to get a quote to carry my coverage once it expired. Was told I have no bond and the inspector from my paperwork would call me—that was over a week ago and no return call. Taking my business to Turin Pest Control because had I been lied to by the home owner and truly have no bond, had Active returned my call, I would have given them my business.
On June 9th 2022 a woman showed up to my house while just my daughter and her babysitter was home. She treated the outside of my home and left. When I got home and seen the sign in the yard I called to tell them they didnt have permission to spray as I have a contract with another company. They promised they would get all the billing straightened out and on 08/08/2022 I have recieved another bill that has been sent up to the main office. When I called they stated they would dispute the bill but there never should be a bill. I was told a supervisor would call me back in 30 min. Will update when they call back.
Has had the worst experience with this company. Have video proof of them lying about their services. Spent 5 mins on site. How do you provide pest services and treatment in 5 minutes? If it is pouring rain, what’s the point of visiting the job site?Will cancel service as soon as I get my last months refund.Stay away from this compan
We decided to cancel service after my hubby received a call that someone would be out to service our home one day. I was home that day, no one came to service our home, not a vehicle in the driveway, nothing. We called about it and they said they’d send someone out, still no one came. We were billed as if our home had been serviced. The reason I’m posting this review is because we received another bill in the mail for $143.50 for July AFTER we cancelled and settled our account. Horrible.
The customer service is very pooooooor. We had to call several times requesting for a document to be told today that no request was process. I spoke to this girl named Brianna and the call always seems to be disconnected and it didnt happen once but 3x. Run away from these people when you have the chance. Their phone representatives are very rude.
Today Andre Harris came to my house for a general extermination..he was so respectful and he seen neighbors dogs in our yard and instead of continuing to spray he went over to the neighbors and ask if theyd put their dogs up due to can be harmed.. this guy truly loves his job and needs to be kept as an employee..thanks again Andre Harris👍
Stay away from them.They double charge me for bill I payed before.Asked them to make a trap for rodent and they didnt do anything.Still having bugs in front of my house all the time.I complaint in BBB and after two weeks they respond to open the case to find a resolution and guess what now two weeks after (total 30 days) and they still didnt find a resolution and didnt remove the bill.Update1: The merchant respond to my review stating that they fixed the issue but as you know its still the same and they didnt remove the bill and still showing on my online account.
Today was our initial service with Active for pest control. Tony did a great job! Hes super professional and took the time to explain the details of the service before he started. Great customer service. My regular tech was on vacation but I had ants in my kitchen. They sent Travis out to fill in and he was very professional. He had on a mask and wore booties to protect my carpet. He answered all my questions about the products he was using (had to make sure my pets wouldnt be harmed) and made suggestions as to how to keep pests away from my home. He also offered advice on some easy and safe natural repellents I could use between regularly scheduled visits.
Shane Gillian is pleasant, informative and very professional. Has me thinking of upgrading to VIP next. Company Highly recommend. DRH should consider contracting Active Pest Control as the termite prevention provider for their new construction homes due to their reasonable prices and reliable services.
Ive used Active Pest Control for decades and have always been completely satisfied with the services they provide. When in the midst of an ant invasion on Friday evening, the customer service rep was genuinely caring and worked us in on Saturday morning. But the absolute best compliment I can give is to the service technicians, specifically Tony! He was right on time, professional, knowledgeable and very friendly and helpful. Thanks again, Tony, for your exemplary work! I couldnt be more pleased with how you took care of my problem!
Tony was great and on time. He explained everything he was going to do and he inspected and sprayed inside as I needed done for an increase in huge cockroaches being seen inside my residence. I am very pleased with his professionalism and his courtesy. I will not change companies due to the workers that have been here to service my property.

THIS COMPANY HAS NOT BEEN DOING THE SERVICE MY ELDERLY PARENTS HAVE BEEN PAYING FOR,AND FOR MANY YEARS. WHEN DOING YARD WORK AT THEIR HOME I LOCATED NUMEROUS TERMITE BAIT STATIONS THAT WERE COVERED WITH LEAVES AND AT LEAST AN INCH OF DIRT COVERING THEM. UNDER OVERGROWN SHRUBS AND BUSHES THAT WERE ALSO COVERED IN MULCH, LEAVES AND DIRT. THEY CLEARLY HAVENT BEEN SERVICED IN A WHILE. ESPECIALLY IN THAT CONDITION, THEY WERE NOT CHECKED WITHIN THE LAST 3 MONTHS, AS THATS HOW OFTEN THEY SHOULD BE MONITORED. ACTIVE PEST CONTROL SHOULD HAVE A SITE MAP THAT SHOWS WHERE THEYRE LOCATED AND THE NUMBER OF STATIONS. ANOTHER TYPICAL PEST CONTROL COMPANY WITH SORRY AND WORTHLESS SERVICE TECHS NOT DOING THEIR JOB!!!!
Ive used Active for 15 years as my pest control company. Ive experienced different technicians treating my home and Ive never had any issues. Most recently Tony has been my assigned professional for the last couple of years. He is always prompt, professional and has a great attitude. As a result of Active treating my home I havent had any type of long term pest issues. I highly recommend them!
We were very pleased, we have used other companies in the past and there customer service was poor but Jonathan was outstanding and very informative. I feel that he answered every question we had without hesitation and had a great attitude. We will definitely be a repeat customer.

Tony from active came out to my property today and treated inside my home and the exterior for pests and I am super pleased with the experience. He was friendly, knowledgeable and answered questions that I had. I have used other pest companies before but I must say that Active is one of the best and they actually do their job. I have been using Active Pest Control for years now and have been very pleased with their service. Anytime I have a concern, they always send out an agent right away to take care of the issue. I had Kenneth Taylor come today and he did the usual monthly treatment. After he left, I noticed there was an ant colony on my deck that I missed earlier. I messaged him and he came back the same day to take care of the issue. I was very pleased with his service and the company. I would highly recommend to anyone

Tony is very courteous and always says hello when he comes to our house. We have had some ants issues and he made sure that they never came back.He explained to me why he was putting down seeds instead of spraying which was due to if the rain fell.Tony asked to open up the garage to change out the traps as well.He’s very good at what he does and make sure it’s done to the best of his abilities.Thanks Tony 😊
Shane was very personable, professional, and friendly. He even helped us chase down our cat and get her caged before the first treatment. Could not have asked for better service or a better representative of Active Pest Control. He explained what he was doing and why so that I could understand it. Ive been a customer of Active Pest Control since 2018. They have always been very thorough with their service. The customer service is great and Im always asked if there are any concerns or problem areas that needs to be addressed with each visit. Tony especially goes above and beyond with each visit.
My original appointment was between 4 pm and 6 pm. Tony contacted me to let me know he could come much earlier. He was very professional and made sure to take care of all of the areas we were concerned about. I never have an issue with Active Pest Control. Always great customer service!
The representative(s) are great. They offer what is happening and what their solutions are in a very professional and friendly manner. Our regular service tech (Alex) is especially wonderful. He lets know when he arrives and what he will be doing. And he always ask if there are any concerns we have. I Would definitely recommend Active to anyone.

I started using Active last year when the pandemic already started. I found them through the Fayette Chamber of Commerce listed as a member. It doesnt matter who I talk to on the phone or who that months technician is - we always have a great experience! They listen to our concerns and address them to the best of their abilities. For the price and services, its a great deal you cannot pass!

This company had the audacity to welcome me by sending me a bill via email. I contacted them to say what a ridiculous way of making contact and that I wanted to speak to a manager. No one called so I assumed we are just done. NOPE....they sent me a late notice. Are you kidding me??? Im not sure where they got my email address but it was inappropriate for anyone to give it to them and for them to use it to send me a bill for un-rendered services. When they did finally make contact with me, there was no valid explanation nor an apology for this unusual business practice. I promised to reward them by never doing business with them and a promise review. I would never do business with a company that introduces themselves with a bill, then a late notice, and never return calls with an attitude that what they did was completely normal. SMH Stay Away
Tim was very professional and friendly! He called in advance to let me know he’d arrive early. I had multiple issues and he was very patient in helping locate the source and identifying the exact type of critters causing us such a nuisance. We also had an insane mosquito problem that has cleared up! I couldn’t come down my drive with the car windows down without getting eaten up! Now I can go outside and work all day and not get bitten! Activ service has been great!
Kenny Taylor is a very professional service man! He also gives great advice on certain pest! Helped me to find a portable power supply on line because I didn’t know what it looked like so he sent me a link to a couple of websites that have them for sale! I Like Kenny he is a Cool guy and positive asset to Active Pest Control
The tech that services my termite stations is so awesome!!! He is very polite and always checks with me before coming out. He also makes sure my gates to the fence are closed and locked because I have dogs! He is very thorough and has a great attitude!!! Matt is definitely the reason I stick with this company!!!
I was referred to this company by my sister who has used them for years. They are great, I had so many ants and spiders and I haven’t seen one since signing on with this company. I never typically sign up for agreements but I did with this company and they show up like clockwork.
I have used Active pest control to address an ant issue in my home. I found the technician “ANDREW” to be very professional and courteous. He was honest and informative on the best way to address my ant issue. I highly recommend him and would use his services again. FIVE STARS.
We have had Active for a few years now, and their service is always professional. Our technician, Cameo, always calls ahead on the day of our appointments, he is polite and efficient. He even moves any packages that have been delivered at the front door to the back door (after he calls to let me know they’re there).
Had active taking care of my pest control needs in Mcdonough for about 3 years. Overall pretty good. Price was $40/mo. And they came out during the first week of every month to spray the exterior and interior if we asked. It really came down to what technician was sent to your place. Some of them were very professional and would knock to let you know they were there and ask if there was anything specific you needed. Others would just pull up and start spraying and be gone before you had any idea they were there.
I had a bad issue with squirrels. They charged me $500.00 upfront to remove them but they were unsuccessful and the squirrels were never removed. They have terrible customer service. The manager Juan Lopez is the worst. When I called to tell him their was an issue he acted like he didnt want to bothered by it .I later called to see if I could at least get half of my money back since the ultimate issue was never resolved and I never could get him . I do not recommend using this company. I would have definitely used them for other services but never again will they get another dime from me for nothing.
I do not, and have never had a contract with this company for any of their services. Yet, I received a bill in the mail today for termite service totaling at $300. We use a different company for termite + pest control, and have never used Active.This is ridiculous, and this unsolicited and unapproved bill will not be paid. It is terrible business practice to submit an invoice to a random person for fictitious services that were never requested, approved or even done! Furthermore, the bill doesn’t even have my name on it as the homeowner! It just says “Current Resident.” Needless to say, this will be reported to the BBB.
Signed up for service this week and already know that once my year contract is finished I will find a different provider.Service technician was great. He was timely efficient and pleasant. However, this company obviously has some administrative office issues it needs to sort out. My account was drafted twice for a payment that was only authorized once. I called the office and was told it would take a few days for a refund to process (HELLO this is not a refund it was my money that you were NOT authorized to take). The young lady adamantly apologized, but that was not going to get my money back in my account any quicker. Instead of taking responsibility for their error, I, the customer has to be inconvenienced for their fault. There is NO WAY I will continue to do business or refer them.*UPDATE* (1 week later) I was advised that my funds would be returned by check using expedited mail. Guess what, still haven’t received my funds that were TAKEN from my account. I would love it if Active would take full responsibility and personally deliver what is rightfully mine. Unfortunately, I have to entrust this financially irresponsible company with my banking information for a year. Yes they require you to leave your information on file, whilst they screw up your account.
Active Pest Control is the BEST service for your home...hands down! When you call you talk with a polite and knowledgeable representative who knows about your account contract, service dates and will set an appointment for your situation. We had a pest service technician in my home less than half hour when we found a scorpion inside. No worries, he took care and removed it. In addition APC provide a spray that is safe around children and pets. The technician wear shoe covers inside our home. Regarding termite trap inspection Active Pest Control technician call before the routine appointments with a reminder of time and day. As a busy family we appreciate the great eight year service from Active Pest Control in McDonough GA.
Been a customer with active for many years. Overall normal pest control service has been fine. The problem came when a swarm of termites came out of my hard wood floor. I contacted active who sent out a manager Willie to look at the damage in Feb/March. Since then I have had to call every other week without a response. I took the extra step to get an estimate for the damage since they do not repair hardwood. Finally another manager came out to inspect the damage a second time on sept 9th... 6 months later who calls me back and says they now need multiple estimates and will get back to me. I would not recommend service with this company since they don’t stand by their warranty or 100% guarantee.
Tracy from Active was courteous and professional. He was very thorough applying the pesticide treatment. He used a brush to get all the cobwebs down. Then applied the treatment. He replaced the sticky boards in the garage. Thank you for doing such a great job today, Tracy!
Investing in the VIP treatment program with Active has done a great job of completely ridding our home of insects, but has also made outside play and family time much more enjoyable with the mosquito, flea and tick control that is included. In addition, we don’t feel like a client who is just checked off a task list, but a customer about whose needs our technician is truly concerned. Excellent customer service, excellent pest control.
Tony was an absolute pleasure to work with. This whole ordeal was very stressful and not something I particularly wanted to deal with but Tony was prompt, professional, knowledgable, and able to make this process as painless as it could be. Hopefully I don’t need pest control again, but if I do he will be the first number I call.
This gentleman that came out to my residence was an outstanding member of your staff, he was cordial, very polite, and very communicated and proud that he worked with active pest control. In the military we give soldiers ribbons for doing really outstanding things, so I’ll like and say is a verbal comment that he was extraordinarily good

So let’s start with the positive I’ve had them a little over 3 years no issue except the first time which they did come back out and fix and the manager was excellent. Now fast forward Covid hit the last time tech came out was in March paid them . No issues some months Go by I get a bill in the mail $150 now I’m confused because they haven’t been out to treat my house in months “I get it it’s Covid” not upset however I was upset I was being billed for service that they never did. I call twice spoke to different representative and ask why is my bill $150 said your bill quarterly I said I get that but you haven’t been out here both representatives said they have no control over that I explain I’m not paying for service never received. Explain if the tech comes out I will pay $75 because he actually came out and did the work. Next thing I know tech comes out we talked I confirmed the last visit was in March which again he confirmed that was the last time I asked him how are you billing me for service I never received silence he picked up the bait station and left. A week go by I get bill 0.00 🤔 so clearly they knew they was trying pull a fast one especially during these critical times. That’s the only reason why I’m giving them two stars other then that when I did have them they were excellent I just didn’t like the shady stuff they were trying pull during Covid and again never had any issues with billing until Covid hit and they were trying bill me for service they never did.
I was recently in need of what I thought was urgent attention to pests inside my home. My Active Pest technician came out and quickly identified the problem as a lawn maintenance issue outside where too many leaves have accumulated. Without my request the technician spent a couple hours taking care of the problem. He called me to explain his findings and how to prevent this in the future. He was professional and polite. Hands down! The best customer service I’ve experienced in years.
I bought a home that already had a termite bond with active. In January I paid the yearly $175 and they came out and inspected and said there were no termites but there was fungus/mold under the house and it needed plastic (which already had down) and that it would be $1,548. I had fungus/mold treated for $500. We have a contract to sell house so I called active to get the termite letter. They came out and said there’s no termites but we can’t give you a letter until we treat it for fungus/mold and put plastic down( which already had). I told them I already had treated but they said they didn’t treat it so they won’t give me a letter until I pay $1,548. I called a different pest control company. I did not tell them what was going on with active. I just said I need a termite letter. They checked it and said they didn’t see any termites but that whoever had treated it previously had done a halfway job and he recommended having it done again. He said there was no fungus/mold and that whoever had treated fungus/mold had done a great job. I asked him about the plastic and he said all of the crawl space was covered so it was good. I think active pest control is a rip off. I got the termite letter I needed. Will never use active pest control again for anything. I just just wish I had not wasted $175 in January
They tend to come no matter the weather. It started raining less than 10 minutes after they were done today. I believe this was a wasted service spraying around the outside of our house today. They have done this before. They claim it makes no difference BUT their competitors say it does and they would never do that. Most likely we will cancel their service if they do not return and spray again in the next week.
I called Active on a Thursday at 5pm for a termite inspection, and Dustin was at my house 8am the next morning to take a look. He treated what he could, and had a two person crew at our home Monday at noon. Richard and Brandon installed bait stations, treated our crawl space and answered all of our questions. They were super thorough, and professional. Highly recommend!
I am a long time Customer. Recently, I was cleaning out and replacing my mulch beds and noticed that several termite bate stations that were supposed to be removed, when they were changing over systems. I am not sure, but I believe it isnt a good idea to leave those stations unmonitored. Because they are supposed to map and update those station. It seems to me that they werent thorough. Which brings in to question, whether are not they are thoroughly monitoring the new stations.

After many resolution attempts spanning over one full year, it has become clear Active Pest Control is not holding up their end of contractual services with no intentions to do so. Those attempts include: Multiple weekly phone calls that were transferred up the Active Pest leadership chain, many of which were never returned resulting in several lost working hours on my part, as well as, unsuccessful yard and home pest re-treats.The entire treatment time up to this point has been a frustrating process as the technicians will treat my yard in under 20 minutes with minimal to no pest control success (one acre property and two story home ~4,000 SF). However, if I call for a re-treat or if a manager comes to treat my yard after complaints, it takes 40 minutes to 1 hour to properly treat - still does not prevent mosquitoes, though.Based on their explanation, techs are given a total of 20 minutes at each property, thereby admitting they do not properly allow time at each property. In addition, the contract is based on 1 acre of treatment, which they will not fully treat because part of our property is on a water source. Active claims land near the water cannot be treated, however, they refuse to down-charge for the quarter to half acre of land they are actually treating.I attempted to cancel in November 2019 and was provided with a Remainder of Contract Invoice for $450 (6 months left of contract @ $75 per month) - see attachment. I was told if I canceled in April 2020 then the balance would be $0 but I had to call in April and could not pre-cancel several months out.Today (4/13/2020) when I called to cancel, I was told that it is now an $1,800 cancellation charge for an additional two years and they cant explain the prior invoice.When I asked for a mutual release of the contract they only consider the contract to be a one way affair thereby not holding up their end of service however holding the customer (me) accountable for payment even if the service was not provided to the level state.
Jason came by to do my initial treatment. He was very professional and courteous and knew his stuff. He took the time and explained to me the issues that I was having and explained how it would be treated. He found the issue and corrected it! I would highly recommend active and especially Jason for your pest control needs
As a Real Estate Broker, I deal with many contractors as I assist my Clients to buy and sell property. Sometimes that can be very challenging. Your technician arrived on time and completed the work without any issues. Its a pleasure working with such a professional company.
Since service began The amount of unwanted bugs still “walking or crawling” around has decreased to almost none. Also have noticed a decline in the mosquito and and tick population. Service techs that come to home are always professional and accommodating, very open to correcting any complaints. The office end seems a little unorganized but improving. On occasion we get 2 monthly visits instead of the one in our contract and then have to call to be sure it’s not 6 weeks before the next and had a few issues with billing but one complaint call and everything was corrected. Very happy overall with our service from active and will continue.
Active pest control and Benny Crowe do a great job for me both personally and professionally. They take care of my Termite in quarterly pest control at home. They are timely efficient and you certainly get what you pay for. When I refer them to my clients They are always satisfied.

Awful customer service. We pay for monthly pest control. Active last came to my house on August 7th. I had to call them myself to send someone out on September 28th as our kitchen had an ant outbreak. I received no apology for them not coming in over a month and a half - even though they get my money on time every month. I asked the receptionist to please speak to a manager and she said it would take up to 48 hours to have a manager call me back. So when the technician finally came, I made sure to get the managers cell phone number from him. I then called the manager Tim and politely asked for a refund for the month of September since they never came. He informed me that all he could do was waive Octobers fee as a courtesy. Well this morning, Octobers payment was automatically deducted from my account. When I called in to the office today, I was told they could try to process a refund but warned me that it could take several days. They offered to waive Novembers payment instead - because that worked so well in October, right? I then called Tim again, he informed me that he Did everything he was supposed to do on his end and that maybe the process for waiving fees has changed. There are plenty of other pest control companies in the area. I would highly recommend not going with this one. Yes, the technicians that come out to spray are great and very personable. But once Active has your money, they dont value you as a customer one bit. Very disappointed with the level of customer service we have received from Active. I feel like my only recourse at this point is to put a stop payment on our bank account and go with another company.
Absolutely not a fan. I was selling my home and Active came out a few days after we went under contract. Told my husband they should be able to issue a clearance letter without needing treatment but would be in touch. Didnt hear from them so I assumed all was good since the buyers agent is the one who called them out I wouldnt have received that report anyways as I didnt pay for it..... 3 days before closing (5 weeks after the inspection- aka plenty of time to call me and tell me) I get a call from Jodi that its going to cost me $800... to pay for treatment.... for termites... that I DIDNT HAVE, just so they would issue the letter. Then I get the statement to sign so they will issue the letting for closing and the price jumped up to $950. Additional $150 was for cleanout and poly. Day of closing I get the report from the treatment and poly was moved for treatment and same poly was put back in.... What exactly did I pay $150 extra dollars for again? I just feel like I was completely taken advantage of and obviously was going to pay for it because I wasnt going to let $950 stop the sale of the house I had been working on all month.
I can’t say enough about the service I have received from Active over the past 2 years. The Technician Cameo is always pleasant and professional and if I happen to be home at the time of service he always educate me to ensure that I am getting the most from my service.
I decided to use Active Pest Control to tackle a termite infestation in my home. They also handle my monthly home pest control. I have been with them for 4 months now and I am extremely satisfied with my service. I have seen a tremendous reduction in pest/insects, hardly any at all. They are always here as scheduled for my monthly visits and if I need them to come back out for any reason they have done so without hesitation. Lastly, customer service has been great. The representatives have been most pleasant, curtious and helpful.
Active has changed a lot in the years I have been with them. They used to be very customer focused, this is no longer the case. They now do everything with robocalls and if the schedule is not conductive then YOU have to call them back and reschedule. What happened to contacting the customer? I am through with this group. No matter how many calls went to supervisors they didnt change a thing. DISGUSTED TOTALLY.
This company is amazing. I have not had any trouble with bugs since I have started using this company and their technician Brandon Jackson who services our home is amazing. Always goes above and beyond, amazing customer service, and always ready to help if we have questions.
I was happy with the service until I moved to another state. We opted for their premiere account (VIP service) which, as long as we lived there, was worthwhile.Unfortunately, even though we sold the house and moved to another state, there is a requirement to pay for the rest of the years contract (even when they cant service you at your new location!).This was not information with which they were forthcoming -- the person I spoke to in order to cancel the account told me that I would have to speak with another person (who was unavailable at that time -- took me three weeks to actually talk with them) in order to fulfill that request. In other words, they know people are upset about this so they have particular people trained to handle these conversations.They got $180 more from me, but they also got this 1-star review. Hope it was worth it. Will NEVER use or recommend Active Pest Control to anyone in the future.
I have to give them 2 stars because they do have customer service reps who answer the phone and are polite, but they would receive 0 stars from me for their pest control services.Be forewarned that they will charge you an early cancellation fee even in the event you are cancelling because they cant do their job properly. I was simply not willing to put my young childrens health at risk by allowing them to continue to re-treat despite previous failures.As background so you can judge for yourself, I have lived in 3 houses in the southeast over the past 5 years and have never had issues with Palmettos being inside the house. However, after having Active treat my new and completely vacant house they were not able to establish an effective barrier to keep them out. I have now had 3 cockroaches, all upstairs, in the span of a month (and trust me we dont have cardboard or food present upstairs, nor is there anything in our attic besides insulation and the HVAC unit). The service tech is in and out so fast on every occasion that I can tell they are not providing a thorough preventative treatment. (They cant even be bothered to open the sticky traps to set in the garage to prevent spiders from entering). I have had great pest control services in the past and this is not one of them. I will gladly be paying more money to someone who can do the job properly.
If I could give them zero stars then I would! Horrible customer I have been waiting weeks for a refund and constantly lied to. I paid the service fee and was told after inspection I couldnt get the 60.99 monthly service. I was told 3 weeks ago that I would receive my refund in 5-7 business day. That has came and passed, I spoke with someone Monday and was told a manager would reach back out to me in 48 hours. I just spoke with another agent that has now told me a operation manager would have someone look into it and call me back! Why do I have to be taken through the ringer about refund when I never had service!
The quality of work is poor. I just got off the phone with a rep from this company that swore me up and down that they just came out and sprayed in May 4th when I just complained about seeing ants at my back door. First, with this virus still floating around out here we DONT leave the house. My blinds are ALWAYS open and NO ONE in my house saw anyone come here to spray externally for ANYTHING! I feel as though this company is using this COVID-19 virus to their advantage and claiming to provide services when they truly arent. I wish I didnt have this contract with them because from day one the service has been horrible. They do the bare minimum!
I’ve been working with Shane Gilliam in my real estate business and at my personal residence for the past couple of years and he’s been nothing short of awesome each time! When I call this company I talk to the person about a Termite and pest control package.I had a gentleman by the name of Benny came out to talk to me about the VIP package not once he stated that the tech will not come in the house and spray because of the Covid 19 that’s what Benny should’ve stated when he was making his sale. I also calla person by the name of Willie Mills this man stated that he will come out and take care of what the tech didn’t do that never happen.
Benny Crowe takes customer service to a new level of excellence. He has always been willing to assist whenever possible, and he is courteous and professional in all areas of business. His integrity and character is the reason I will continue doing business with Active Pest Control.
Ive had Active Pest Control for over 16+yrs.I have had no problems with Active what so ever.They are reasonable, friendly, and most of all always on time. If they are running late they call to let me know that they are running last and ask if they can come as soon as they get off the last job.Ive tried other pest control companies whom I didnt like and whom had watered down the pest control spray which didnt work.I kept coming back to Active Pest Control.If at the time I cant pay right away, they work with me.I also like the fact that if I see a roach in between services, they come out and respray for free with no extra charges. this only happened 1 time in all the years Ive had Active Pest Control.Plus when I request 1 tech to always do my service, I get that 1 tech always unless its unavoidable.I Love Active Pest Control and will never change again.

They (office and technicians) are very attentive to the needs of their customers by always contacting you prior to home visits and applications. Most especially their technicians are second to none!Most recently, during a holiday week, we had an issue with sugar ants and the tech Cameo W. who was assigned the service call arrived within the quoted timeframe, and had excellent customer service skills, explaining the whys, whats and how he was getting rid of the nuisance ants! Service tech (Matt) is very professionsl and courteous; a lovely person to converse with. Lets me know when hes coming out. Texts when he gets here. Makes sure my gates are closed. Texts when he leaves if Im not here and attaches paperwork at door where Ill find it and tells me everything is fine in text. If Im here he tells me in person how everthing looks. When I call the office with additional questions, like fire ant Control they always have the answers. The office lady is always very courteous and helpful, too. They are a real pleasure to work with. Im glad Matt and Active are protecting my home.
I have been extremely impressed with Active Pest Control for the last 2 years. Not only do they offer the best prices and safe products, they also provide EXCELLENT customer service! They are always timely when a service is needed by contacting me through phone and/or email. Their employees are very friendly and make sure that you receive all the services when at your house. I have NEVER had a bad experience with Active Pest Control and would refer (and do refer) them quite frequently.
Service tech are always nice and professional! Whenever I see any type of bug or spider and I hardly do since hiring active, I inform the tech and the answer that I always receive is “ I will take care if it”. Active Pest Control is literally the reason why I didn’t sell my newly constructed home. 😀 I didn’t know that GA had scorpions!
Active Pest Control did an amazing job at a great price. When we got termites a few months ago, they came out quickly and got the job done. They even do a follow up to see how the bait stations are doing, and if they need to be replaced or fixed, they handle it at no additional charge. They will forever have our business.
I started using Active about 5 months ago due to rental home I am in being infested with German roaches. Getting rid of them has been difficult but, they have put forth the effort to do many follow up treatments and I think we might have finally gotten it taken care of. Good experience.
I had someone from active pest control come out to inspect my house out for a termite letter bc I was selling my house.He did not call me to let me know he was on his way just showed up and then sat in his car for 20min b4 he rang my door bell. He inspected the outside and the garage and said you have previously had termites I said yes almost every house has so what. He said I cant issue you a letter unless they treat and I sign up for a termite bond for like $800. I then called another company who came out charged $45 and not $75 like active. Did the inspection he said he found previous but no sign of activity so he issued me a clearance letter thank you arrow for being honest and doing a great job and not trying to rip me off I will be using you for many other houses I manage . As for active they need to be investigated by the department of agriculture for ripping ppl off and false advertising including the salesman will never use.
I give a 1 star because thats the lowest it has. Ive been using Active for a year now. And theyve been coming out quaterly and treating the outside of my house. Or they say they have. I had a special appointment today so they could come in my house and spray. Even though the schedule was set up for between 2 & 3. I stayed home all day. I got a email from active wanting me to rate their service. I was wonder why would i get a email since they never showed up. So i called Active and the person told me she has a bill showing my house was treated. Bottom line is they lied to me. Never showed. Makes me wonder how many other times they said they treated my home and didnt. Also makes me wonder how many other people are getting the same service. If I was the boss ...the guy who claimed he treated my home would be fired !
Our experience with Active Pest Control (APC) has over all been very pleasant. There administrative call staff our outstanding professional & knowledge. The techs that have come to our home are respectful, outstanding gentleman & know their craft. Our current new tech Cameo represent APC has a scholar employee, we nominate him employee of the year 2018 4th quarter.
Builder chose them as pear control. After I did not renew service they came to my property pulled up half the bates left muddy holes in my yard while the rep onsite cleaned himself up with my water. I have all on camera. I would never spend my money with these people and would not trust them on my property. My home security cameras has them recorded and I may even take them to court for violating my property without consent.
Very knowledgable and courteous. Both gentlemen took pride in their work. The termite gentleman cleaned up all areas that he worked in after he completed his work. Very tidy acted as if he were maintenancing his own home. A real asset to your company. The gentleman that came later that day was also friendly and courteous. They both explained how beneficial it was for us to have choose Active as our new pest control.
I should have read these reviews! They are in the business of contracts. I too waited weeks for responses , received conflicting information, despite prepaying discovered my VISA was also being charged. Please do yourself a favor, pass on this service, because what you will be paying for is what a famous local consumer reporter calls customer no service
We have had Active Trash Pickup for well over a year. We have been very impressed with the overall service. They always pick up on time however if there ever is a reason why the they cant pick it up they will send out a curtsey e-mail letting you know they have an issue on hand and they are working to resolve it. The pay is just right for a tight budget. AND I LOVE MY PINK CAN!!!
I bought a Groupon for a termite bond. But a sales man came out not a termite tech. Looked inside said he saw enough and couldnt do it for the Groupon price bc there was previous very old and drill marks to prove it was treated. He said I have to pay for a treatment which the groupon did not say it would be additional for a spot treatment even do it was old.But the Groupon was for a liquid wrap and bait install so it would be a treatment and it would kill any termites if there was any but the previous was from over 10 years ago and has been treated with liquid. Its a scam and he lied to me and tryed to rip me off. When I contacted the office they did not offer me anything,I No apologies. I will be notifying the department of agriculture. This is not how you run a termite business or any business for that matter. Scammers.
I purchased a one time mosquito treatment for a very specific date via Groupon. I called Active and scheduled an appointment for the date I needed treatment. The representative asked for my voucher number, which I provided, and then she told me that the number on the voucher was incorrect. It was clearly the only number on the voucher and I read it off correctly. Their rep told me that Groupon voucher numbers only contain numbers, not letters. That is simply not true. She then stated that they would need to see the voucher when they arrived for service, which I told her was fine. As long as they show up on the date that we originally scheduled.They did not show up on the scheduled date or send anyone out here. I called back and spoke with another rep, who also told me the number was incorrect. I then emailed her the voucher, and she saw that the voucher did in fact contain letters and that I was giving them the correct number the whole time.So overall, they cancelled the service on the date scheduled because they didnt believe me that I purchased a Groupon. Then, they were unapologetic when I showed them that it was the correct voucher number, and they did not apologize and then proceeded to push my service date out another week.Terrible customer service, would not recommend nor will I be using their services any further.

2022-06-30I have used Active for years and loved the company. This was by far the best pest control service that I have ever used. Tim was amazing. A few months back, I noticed an unauthorized charge to my account for $120. I called and emailed to complain, so they refunded me my money. Just recently, I went on the portal to pay my bill. Guess what, they claim they never received my payment. Also, the agent that I spoke with said I had a certain balance owing, that was not showing on the portal. I am waiting to hear back from a Regional Manager named Mary Weldon on what happened to the money I paid through the portal. There is definitely some sort of miss between the offices and the portal. Unfortunately, I decided to cancel my service with this company because my trust has been broken several times.Also, from the look of it, Im not the only customer that has experienced unauthorized charges. This is absolutely not okay!

2022-05-23I contacted Active in April and set up an initial appointment. The quoted price was higher than previously listed but I understand prices are going up. I asked my mother how much she paid and she only pays $60 for the premium level. They quoted me $80 for the level below hers. They seemed to be prompt in making appointments and helping you get set-up. Ultimately, we decided that price wasn’t in our budget and I cancelled BEFORE anyone provided any services to us. A month later my card was charged for the pest control service and I received a bill for a charge for the mosquito service. I sent a reply email to the bill and was sent an automated email reply stating they would get back to me within 24 hours. Here I am a week later still waiting for my money to be returned and for the bill to be rectified, showing I owe the $0 that I truly owe.

2022-07-31Posted on behalf of Marco V. - this company purchased all good and since then we have had the worst service. We’re on an auto quarterly schedule and they missed June. Now, we have an infestation of ants. We called yesterday two times and their staff promised to call back yesterday and have someone out to the house either yesterday or today. After repeatedly calling, we got in touch with someone who said we were scheduled for Tuesday without even telling us. It’s unacceptable as the ants have moved in. After being on hold for hours, Supervisors were supposed to call back and never did. After calling back again, we were hung up on. I called back over four more times and never received a call from management after being promised to receive one. Their own staff cannot even reach management. We had to cancel vacation because they do not follow through and we cannot leave the house as is. I recommend that you DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER. We wish they never would have purchased all good - it’s a shame what they did to the company’s service and reputation.

2022-05-13The service I received today was top tier. The last person I had show up just sprayed and left and I could tell no real effort was put in. Not surprised that I continued to have problems after his treatment. THIS visit was a complete 360! Brian L. Was the person that helped me, he was so attentive and I could tell he really cared about getting the job done. I really appreciated the fact that he was friendly and conversational and took the time to explain to me exactly what he was doing and why and also gave me some tips I can do at home to help my pest issues in the long run. If you are looking to use this service I highly recommend working with BRIAN L. AND BRIAN ONLY! He really does care and will do everything in his power to get you taken care of!

2022-06-24I have been using Active since 2016 or 2017 and have been mostly pleased with service but when we signed up for termite service, we had several walls that needed to be repaired due to previous damage and were assured that once we got them repaired, we would have no problem getting them added in the coverage plan. We had the repairs done February 2019 and have called and reached out several times to get them added as covered but have gotten vague responses and never resolved. I have been aggressively pursuing resolution this week and have gotten complete run around. I have been told I would get called back within 24-48 hours (no call back) only to be told it is 24-48 business hours (really?!), told that a technician has to handle it, or sales has to handle it, or now the district has to handle it, but feeling the run around. Make sure you don’t have pre-existing conditions before you sign up, because, while the salesperson will tell you it is easy to get those added later, it is not!

2022-07-17I started with this company in 2019 they did a great job then. I always make myself available when they came to check stations, some of the technicians will say they check stations and didnt even came to the property. Few months ago, I reached out to active I was concerned I hadnt see or gotten a called for stations checks in a few months, they said they dont come out quarterly anymore its every six months. Called again they said they now have a better system they only come out once per year. Called again, wanted someone to come out and check stations they said someone would called and come out they never did. I was told new owners taken over, I am now trying to find a different company that communicate with truth

2022-07-30I signed a 2-year contract which I shouldnt have done. Its been an ongoing issue since Ive started with them. $70 a month for the VIP package, you would think you wouldnt have anything alive in your yard at all for that much. I have a dog so my big concern was fleas and ticks. I am an outside person I live in my whole yard not just in my house. I have to spray myself down with OFF before I go out because I have ticks on me every time I go out in the yard , I still put the drops on my dog for the fleas and ticks of course . Sitting here on my back porch right now Im watching ants trail along the rail around my porch. I dont even have them come in the house because I work during their hours of operation all they have to do is the yard. I have a year left in my contract I wont do it again. $70 Will buy a lot of bug spray at Home Depot and a new pump sprayer every month if I need to!They used to put a sign out in the front yard saying that they had been here. There hasnt been a sign of my yard in months but they say theyve been here.

2022-04-29Awful Service. They charged my card for my pest control service and did not come... three times in a row waiting for them for HOURS. They laugh in our faces and every time we call they act like they dont know what we are talking about. A truly disaster. Stay away from this terrible company and their rude representatives. The issue happened on Vinings View Condos.
