I would not recommend this location! Unfortunately, I had a bad experience last year when the staff member had no idea what she was doing when installing something on my car. I spent several hours in the delearship to correct her repair. This year, my battery died and it is under a 3 year warranty with them, it’s been less than a year. They told me it wasn’t the battery ‘but probably the alternator’. Turns out, it was only the battery. Would not recommend, giving two stars for the fact management tried to help correct the issue from last year.
I went in with a battery issue. I had purchased an Autocraft Gold battery at the Advance in Cumming back in late 2017. Went in here to have it checked and the guy asked if I purchased it from this location. I told him no the it came from Cumming store. He asked if I had the receipt and I said no. He tried to look it up and said he didnt see anything. I told him that he was looking in the past 90 day screen, because I could see it. He then said without the receipt he could not do anything. I asked him the wasnt this the same battery that is sitting on the shelf right there in the front and he said yes. I then asked about their 3 year gold warranty and he just looked and said well there is nothing I can do about it. Very unprofessional and didnt care about trying to assist. He said I could call the store I purchased the battery from and get them to give me a barcode and then he may be able to help. I ask then why cant he call them, its an Advance Auto Parts just like this one. He just looked and said that I can call them. I told him that this was great customer service and I will NEVER come into an Advance Auto Parts again and will make sure I tell everyone about this. Total BS.
If it is an automotive item I need I always go to see Lyric. But just like her, George and the rest, even if it is super busy in the store, they have a smile and a great attitude to us dumb car owners and pretend mechanics! The prices are better than the store across the street and the selection is much better than their competitors!
A famy member Was told a battery was needed , he bought a new battery from advance .I told him to bring battery back with him ,advance stated they used it as a core ,battery was under warranty, when I called they stated battery was on a palet ,with other batteries, when questioning associate. So in the mean times ,I had to buy a battery a battery from advance a d lose out on the situation being corrected with old battery .AT other store ,you are given the option of paying core fee or leaving battery .
Worst service I think Ive ever received. There was only one person willing to help. No employee wanted to help me install my battery even though I purchased from Advanced Auto. The original store I purchased it from was on fairground, that store claimed they didnt have a memory saver so they could not install it. I called the one on cobb parkway and whomever I spoke with said they would do it. When I arrived to that store everyone was rude and acted like it was such an inconvenience to help me install my battery that I just bought online and picked up at the store. Their excuse was you didnt buy it in the store and you didnt buy it from our store... I was pissed. Eventually the person I spoke to on the phone installed the battery. I will NEVER go back to this store again. I should have trusted my instinct and went to Auto Zone or ORileys!!!
After checking out I noticed an item that I had purchased was rung up for almost twice as much that it said on the shelf. I attempted to bring this to the cashier Ron S. attention and he just walked away and told me to have a good day. Im not upset with the incorrect price nearly as much as I am with his behavior. I was trying to bring a problem to his attention and he just walked away.
Walked into store, walked past the counter two workers just shooting the bull, staring at their mobile phones. Store is empty except me and 3 workers. Walk to the back of the store past another worker stocking shelves, not a peep. Finally left after searching for what I needed gave up and walked out. Two guys at the counter said have a nice day. It happened at the 111 cobb parkway location on 5/15/2017 @ 7:25pm. Sad state when a customer has to beg to be waited on.
Came in for an air filter. One guy behind the desk on the phone and another stocking product at the front entrance. Neither one acknowledge me. I look for the filter, could not find it and stood in front of the employee on the phone.After about 5 minutes he motioned for another an employee who came from the back. That employee then motioned to the guy stocking product on the floor to help me. What a way to delegate and avoid the customer! Then the guy who helped me seemed rather annoyed that I had the audacity to ask for a filter.
We left Autozone bc of the nasty attitudes from their staff. We were delighted with the friendly, professional service provided by a very sweet older gentleman by the name of Jorge at Advanced. He was a breath of fresh air after coming from the crap hole called Autozone and their ignorant ugly employees. Thank you Jorge!!!

2021-12-19They had a hose line that I could not find anywhere else. The line was for a 2008 Toyota Corolla. Great service and well stocked store. One of my favorite locations for auto parts.

2022-01-19David was AWESOME!!!! My mother came in needing a new battery and from the beginning he was very polite, helpful and professional. By far the BEST experience we’ve ever had at an advanced auto. Whoever is the manager give David a raise!! :)

2022-02-08Ordered part for Jeep. Tried to replace it but couldnt get old part out so I returned item. Employee told me is super easy to replace just take the clip out. I said I cant get the old one out. He then told me again its easy let me show you. Then started looking for the pin. He then proceeded to tell me I bought the wrong part. HELLO...you are the one who sold it to me! He was beyond rude and kept talking about the part infront of me to another employee. I said I can hear you,but since I cant get the old part out I just want to return these. I dont even want to give you a star. But I know for sure I WONT SHOP THERE AGAIN!

2022-01-08The customer service was horrible. I went in to have my battery switch out cause I had a warranty and the supervisor wouldn’t even look up my battery. I had to go to another location.

2018-08-04Be aware, on line orders at this store are NOT pulled off the shelf until you arrive to pick up!!! I placed an order ONLINE the night before, received my email confirming my order was ready for pickup, and when I arrived the next day, it took four store people and 15 minutes to search for one part. They did not have in stock and I had to drive to another store to pick up. No apology from store management, so seems like a normal occurrence. I will NEVER step foot in that store again.

2018-10-25I am not impressed. I did an order on line, for pick up and prepaid by credit card. When I get there the order is not ready, and they do not have the head light they charged me for... They do, however, have the best one only it is 46.99 instead of the 29.99 I thought I was spending. Feels like bait and switch. Bad situation, but if you sold me something and then did not have it in stock, shame on you; not though cookies for me.
