Allora in other cities:
Allora has a lot going for it. It’s in a good location with lots of parking, indoor and outdoor seating, pleasant decor, and attentive service. And it’s menu is pretty solid. I would say that where things fall down with the food is in the execution. During my first visit, we had the Caesar Salad, Alloras Meatball Pizza, Charred Broccolini, and Truffle Mushroom Risotto plus a couple cocktails. The salad was easily the best in terms of prep. Fresh with a good mix of dressing and nice flavor. I’d have preferred better croutons but that’s my preference. But the meatball pizza didn’t have meatballs. It was just ground meat, which would have been fine with me, except this pie had very little flavor. And the dough definitely need more time in the oven. It wasn’t undercooked, but it was just too flaccid.the Broccolini was my favorite dish for flavor, but then way too much oil. It was literally dripping off every bit. And the risotto, which was prepared perfectly, didn’t have much in the way of mushrooms or tHe truffle flavor that was promised. Incidentally, the broccolini and the risotto were great together and could have been an entree. So the food, while fine, was a mild disappointment. And then the ambiance kinda bummed me out. Now this is more of a personal critique. Some people probably love this place. But the bar takes up a ton of space in the middle with the table fanning out from it. Half the tables are essentially in the bar, which wants the environment I want. But the tables that aren’t in the bar kind feel like they’re off in Siberia. And then they lights are keep low but there are these accent light on the table that are entirely too bright. I put a napkin over it to tone things down. Anyway, I came to relax and chill, and just couldn’t find that groove. So like I said, if the kitchen can fix the food prep and and consistency, they would be in a much better place. And the food might be more likely to lure me back. But the Feng Shui of Allora just didn’t suite me. If I give it another go, it’ll be when the weather improves and I can sit outside.
This food was so good. Quinn and the Jukebox Band played and they were amazing as always. I want to go back for Karaoke night. Btw its not really an Italian restaurant. Lol they had a lot of non-italian dishes. But I loved the atmosphere and food as well as the service.
Complete disappointment!! NOTHING you can read in the ONLINE MENU IS TRUE: not the options offered and definitely not the price (spaghetti+meatballs was actually 26$ and not 13$ !!!!) 3 dishes: +90$!!! the gratitude is already included no matter the number of people...20% .... the food was good but a total rip off and totally different from what the website shares.
While they are going for a high end Italian restaurant sort of vibe, Ill be honest: it felt more like a poorly lit hotel restaurant (possibly because it opens onto the lobby of a hotel). The atmosphere is intimate, its dark and quiet which is nice for dinner but I imagine I would be a bit depressing for other meals. The price point seemed to high for the quality of the food and experience.
Was so excited to try Allora, but I won’t return. The service was slow and inattentive. I could understand if the restaurant had been full, but it was probably at 35-40% capacity and properly staff. The server hardly came back to check on us, brought the wrong order out, on and on. Just too many small misses to feel good about spending money there. My mushroom toast was over cooked. The toast had obviously been rewarmed in a microwave and was a bit tough to cut and chew. The mushrooms were overly charred. I did love the ricotta on the bread. My braised short rib pappardelle was slightly salty. I was hoping this would be a hit, because Atlantic Station needs some fresh blood on the restaurant scene, but it just wasn’t.
Although it was my first time coming to the restaurant it wasnt a bad experience just wish that the cocktails came in a different size cup but my advice would be to just order a Ciroc and pineapple so you can get more for your money but the atmosphere and vibe was low-key so it was cool we ordered garlic knots (thats not what the menu calls them) for appetizer which werent bad and the Chicken Statler for our entrée which was great. I could see myself coming back.
An Italian restaurant that doesn’t really serve Italian food. Very disappointing.I was invited to try this restaurant since a friend found out a band she liked would be performing and the menu online looked good. I was looking forward to ordering mussels and pasta. We arrived to find out that they serve a “limited” menu on Sundays which is more of an all day typical ATL brunch menu. The website should be updated to reflect this change. The food we ended up getting was alright but I probably would’ve left to eat elsewhere if we weren’t staying for the band. The atmosphere and staff were very nice.
There were no vegan options (no a side of fries do not count). However, I created and ordered a vegan pasta, which was very good. Our server started off cool but as the night progressed she started showing signs of aggravation. While eating there was an adult size roach that was on the curtains behind our table. When we screamed not a single manager or anyome came to assist us. One of the males who was sitting with us had to kill the bug. Of course by this time we were ready to go. Our server messed up our receipts and charged me a different price.
My go to place for a nice laid back atmosphere. The bartenders are always friendly and attentive and theres always new ppl to meet. Also, the food is so good.UPDATE:: The name has changed and the decor and layout has been completely revamped. They have also hired new staff and one server in particular stood out the most. His name is Dan and he was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered a lot good tips. Will be visiting a lot more now than I was before.
I ordered the risotto shrimp and it never came out after being told it was on the way. I enjoyed the pizza and the mussels were delicious along with the loosey goosey cocktail. Again, if a guest orders food and after 15 minutes of being told without asking that it was coming right out and it never does this is quite disappointing. I might consider visiting again.
This place was a complete surprise. Ive wanted to go here an finally did. It was a Thursday night a couple of weeks ago. Ive been meaning to write a review. My buddy and I ordered the NY Strip. It comes with smashed/fried sweet potatoes and grilled asparagus. There is a beef demi glace sauce on mostly the steak. The steak was exceptional. Extremely tender, well cooked to temp requested. The asparagus was well seasoned and cooked with just a slight bite. The highlight of the dish was the sweet potatoes. The technique was the key. This was the best Sweet Potato dish I have ever had. They were cooked, smashed, ripped apart and then fried. This was a textual achievement. The creamy and sweet potato mixed with a potato chip skin was a completely new take on this simple ingredient. My friend and I were blown away. This apparently, after speaking with the server was the first night of a New Menu. I will be going back soon to try other dishes. The sweet potato side will always be ordered. This deserves attention.
Food was okay. I thought the combination of sliced sandwich bread with muscles a bit odd but ok. The pizza came Out luke warm but was pretty good. Service was terrible. She came up to us three times and said she’ll be back soon then would go to the bar and chat. She could have taken our order or atleast brought water in that time. We ended up finally getting water after we ordered and our glasses stayed empty the majority of the meal. My fiancé stopped her to ask for water and she went “oh the bread sticks, the chefs are working on it now” (this is after we received our entrees). We finished our entire entree before the appetizer came out and just wanted the check.
This was an incredible dinner. Awesome wine selection, great service, and impeccable food choices. The food was amazing and we werent even a bit disappointed in anything. The best part though was the chocolate chip cookies! Our waiter told us people come by all the time and just order the cookies- and I can see why! They were huge and so so so good and indescribably addictive. If you are even remotely curious please go and order the cookies!
I dont usually comment on places but... The service here. Food was hit or miss on good or not. Orders were wrong. They werent off menu, and there were only two of us. Never got our drinks or water refilled, nor did we get the soup we ordered. Had to ask the guy at the bar for water while waiting for our correct pizza to come out. There were maybe two other tables when we went. I feel for overworked servers, so I never give them a hard time. She was not overworked.Save your money. Go one of the many other amazing places Atlantic station has. Youll get more reliable quality of food and servers. I hope we get a better replacement for Allora soon.
Im sitting inside of the restaurant around 15 minutes and no one had make an approach to me even to offer me water, menu and clean the table. They waiters walk around and they even look to my table. And this is the place where Im taking my friend for her birthday, what a uncomfortable situation
Went in on a Friday night; it was fairly busy, especially the bar. Hostess greeted us, very friendly. She told us we could either sit at a bar or at a table but the table may have slower service. Since there was live music, we decide itd be OK with slower service. The good thing was that the service was great and not slow at all. Had a really good experience. Try the empanadas. Burger was above average (not the best I had but pretty good). The service was just crazy good for some reason (I was a little guarded considering past reviews). Anyway, the Twelve was recently purchased by a new owner, so maybe management has changed at the Lobby. Will definitely return.
This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We sat down at 6:30 and told our server that we needed to be at Cirque du Soleil and we have one hour. We only ordered entrees in the respect of time. After 45 minutes we still had no food in front of us. I asked multiple times when our food would be coming, and the server kept making excuses that she had a large party next to us. I finally went to the manager and asked when our food would be ready as my kids were starving and we were pressed for time. Our food had not even been started. She said everyone in here is going to Cirque and made zero apologies. Needless to say, we left right then. So we completely wasted almost an hour of time waiting and never ate dinner. I would not recommend this restaurant based on the horrible service and lack of awareness of how to serve in a reasonable timeframe.
A nope from us. The food was on par with Olive Garden. The service was on par with Burger King. Our server had no clue how to time food. Our appetizer and salad came out together. Then, after we finished, we waited about 20 minutes for our mediocre dinner. The lobster caprese was awful. The tomatoes were nowhere near ripe. Strait Hellman’s would have out done the dressing they used. My Cesar salad seemed to have been ordered from Wendy’s, and that’s being kind. As for “the chef’s favorite” gnocchi... he must not eat out often. It was over salted, over sauced, and under flavored. My wife said that her salmon was “okay.” Lastly, the lady that delivered our salads really needs to iron her clothes, and leave the droopy sleeves for Walmart, and keep them out of our drinks and our food.
As out of town visitors, we went for Sunday brunch after a weekend of discovering great dining in midtown all weekend. But after waiting 10 minutes to find staff in an empty/open restaurant, one lone hostess/server waived us to choose a table. Doors were held open, freezing us out while management moved furniture, and we waited 20 minutes for coffee... food was not worth the wait either. A fellow diner remarked that its never like this and she frequents this spot, however we will certainly not return.
I typically don’t leave reviews, but this was the worst experience ever. A group of 15 friends and I made a reservation for a friend’s birthday and they made sure from the moment we entered the door we were disrespected and treated rudely. A gentleman who seemed to be the manager acted angrily when we attempted to order certain things, and was not mindful of his aggressive body language which was completely unnecessary. Other than that, the server was great. Next time, be professional.
I was absolutely amazed by the service I received today from the Lobby Bistro. I had my best friends Bridal shower there and it was wonderful. The service was awesome. I worked with Kadridra Stewart and she was great, she helped with all of our concerns and needs. She customized a menu for us and no matter how many times we called her customer service was superb. A highly recommend The Lobby for any event you would like to have with friends or family.
Excellent bar to hang out with friends. I just had a gathering with about 20 guests in the bar area; the food and drinks were good and the live jazz was great. The valet lost the keys of one of my guest and we had to wait over an hour for some resolve. The night was great until then, so my rating would have been five star had the valet attendants handled themselves more professionally.
Worst brunch and service Ive had in a long time. There were 2 people in the restaurant besides my husband and I. We were seated and waited for a while. Finally had to get up and ask someone for coffee. Waitress was totally unfriendly and acted like she was put out when we asked for coffee. We ordered and I asked for egg white omelette. When coffee arrived I only had a half of a cup. Bartender, who was quite nice and personable saw we were looking for someone and came and brought us coffee. When my order arrived my omelette was eggs not egg whites. We sent it back and was offered no apology. My husband was done eating when my omelet arrived. This restaurant is in the bottom of The Twelve at Atlantic Station. Its now a Marriott Hotel. We are Platinum members and stay in Marriotts all over the US. Cannot believe this is even remotely associated with the Marriott name! Horrible service and meal for $40.
Mushroom pizza, mushrooms were cold-- and bland. a lot of cheese overpowered the whole thing but the crust was good. Price is okay, could bring it down a buck or two. Added hot peppers just to make it more worth it. I have had better but the service was great, really friendly, and very helpful. The food just wasnt as great.
Went with my date recently--heres a detailed breakdown of what we experienced.Ambience--the restaurant has a muted fanciness vibe to it. It has a very open, spacious quality to it, not bright or dark, with big tables for groups and intimate ones for pairs. The light on the side of our booth was annoying af so we covered it with a napkin. Problem solved!Service--we had Dan. Dan was very helpful and a little mumbly. Gave off a tired vibe. But he made the experience better, so we tipped him better.FOODmost important part of any restaurantBread was amazing 10/10Pizza was average 4/10 too saucy and meat wasnt amazing and not much cheeseCarbonara was pretty oki 6.2/10Pappardelle (with kale and beef and parsnips) was better 8/10 good job!(My date enjoyed the pizza and carbonara immensely, so we both had stuff to enjoy--hence the 4 stars)Overall 3.6 out of 5. We had a really nice time.~~~~experiment!! Did they favor the woman or the man?!They failed. Sydney both suggested the restaurant, ordered the food, and paid, but the server and owner always addressed me first with questions, comments. Oh well!
For the past five years, I have gone to The Lobby for Christmas dinner. Usually it is a wonderful and out of this world buffet. This year, they changed to family style where large amounts off food are brought to you on platters. Please go back to buffet style, there was a greater variety offered this way. Plus I missed the prime rib carving station.
Allora ATL takes modern Italian cuisine to the next level! I cannot picture a better location for it than in Atlantic Station. The restaurant compliments its neighboring hotel quite well. The front door is gigantic yet light to pull open. Walking inside takes you to an alternate universe. The interior décor was just right. Warm and welcoming. Our server, Mariah, was friendly and made the experience great. As soon as we were seated, I was ready to eat. The menu is definitely unique. You wont find many if any of these items around town. My colleague decided to go with the Spinach Salad. This was not a typical salad. It included seared salmon, toasted quinoa, blueberries, feta cheese, toasted seeds and honey vinaigrette. Delightful! It came out looking like perfection in a bowl.I was going to be good and stay on track with a salad. However, that did not occur. The Shrimp Campanelle was calling my name. How could I resist? Beautiful shrimp, leeks, tarragon, preserved lemon in an amazing butter sauce. This was the best decision Ive made all week! The flavors were outstanding and mostly because they use fresh ingredients. I can tell the difference when an eatery uses something from a can versus fresh from a market. It makes a world of difference. No meal is complete without dessert. The olive oil cake knew my first and last name. I could not leave without diving into it. This is not your average cake. The cake was served warm and accompanied by a scoop of honey gelato. I was satisfied. I wasnt over easy.I reminisced about the array of flavors I experienced on this day on the ride back. I havent been this impressed with a local spot in a while. I am a critic so if things are not right, I let them know. I applaud Allora ATL for creating a unique upscale atmosphere for guests. The food is exceptional. They would have to be my favorite dine in Italian restaurant in Atlanta. Be sure to visit them this weekend. Why? Because Ash Said It!#ashsaidit
Allora needs a new menu. Overpriced and very limited options. Listen, if youre going to do Italian.. do Italian! Also, I ordered the “Flight of the Concord” drink, which was delicious and advertised as $12 on the menu. I gave the bartender (I believe his name was Tyler) a $20 bill ...and he gave me $7 back?!?! I assume he thought it was okay to just take his own tip!!! Even though I was going to leave a tip anyway, I DO NOT appreciate him helping himself to my money and taking it!!! Tacky and next time, I’m going to make a scene...
Was in Atlanta on business. Myself and my colleges stayed at the Twelve Hotel and had a good experience until we decided to visit the Lobby bar downstairs. The atmosphere was great and there was a jazz band playing. However, the two ladies (bartenders) behind the bar were very rude and spent most of their time flirting with the men at the bar who may have been regulars. We were ignored several times when asked for another round. The one with the longer hair made faces and rolled her eyes several times. We were nothing but cordial and respectful and could not understand the treatment we received. We finally gave up and went to Yard House another bar in Atlantic Station and had GREAT experience!
13 dollar chicken sandwich served with Argula (not listed on the menu and I hate argula) and almost no mozzarella. I told the Manager there was no mozzarella and to please send more out for the sandwich. The chef argued that the sandwich didnt need more. I said excuse me I am the one eating it, could I have enouch mozzarella to actually taste it. He then attempted to charge me $4 dollars extra and said Cheese is expensive! I notified the manager, he continued attempting to argue. I ended up leaving. I do NOT feel this restaurant is a good value, and I do NOT recommend the service, food or management.
I made a decision to come to Lobby during Midtown Restaurant week based on what seemed to be a pretty decent three course meal offering. I had a dinner reservation for a party of 4 people on a Saturday at 7:30pm. Upon arrival to the restaurant my party was quickly seated and about 5 mins later we had someone come over to bring us water. After that, the experience became TERRIBLE!! We sat for 15 minutes waiting on a waiter to come over and greet our table and take our order. One of the people in my party had to go flag down a waiter to come take our order. After placing our order the waiter returned to the table 20 mins later stating that he had made a mistake and didnt put our orders into the kitchen because he lost the receipt paper he had written our order on but he would take our order AGAIN and have the kitchen expedite our food. I am not sure what expedite meant to him but we sat there another 35 mins and not so much as an appetizer or the Ginger Ale that a person in my party ordered appeared on the table. Needless to say we ended up leaving after spending an hour waiting for food and no clear communication from the waiter or hostess on how much longer it would take for the kitchen to be able to get us any of our food. The restaurant was not packed so I could not understand the struggle to bring out a salad for an appetizer. Due to the terrible service and lack of communication on when to expect our food our party decided to leave and patronize another restaurant.
They messed up my order, claiming they gave my friend an extra portion, and were unapologetic about it. Then when they brought mine out it was rushed and put together. I’m a vegetarian so I ordered simple spaghetti. SPAGHETTI! Overall I won’t be returning. It was a waste of a meal.
Stumbled onto this place after going to the movies at Atlanta Station. Id thought it was only a bar but once inside, we realized it was a pretty big restaurant. Our server was very friendly and helpful if navigating the menu. The food was good. Not amazing but very solid and exactly what we were looking for in terms of a casual not so expensive after moving meal.
Really love CHEF ROBERT!!! He is very attentive and even made me CHICKEN FRANCESE which isn’t on the menu and substituted it for something of the same VALUE!... but went today 9/8/19 at 11:20 am and I requested it through a chef and his female assistant and he refused! The place was empty so it wasn’t busy even if he didn’t want to make he could of atleast been interested! He just sent the waitress back with a PLAIN NO! Smh! I will only eat there if BOB is there
TERRIBLE experience!!! Would not recommend anyone to throw away money dealing with this HOTEL and disgusting restaurant.. It has become a cheap and tasteless environment.. I can not find a nice word to say about them all.. After sitting down, ordering food, the unprofessional security guard told my mother and I to leave immediately because we were speaking portuguese and out of DRESS CODE.. Let me just say this, I am 18 years old, I was not wearing anything SHORT SLEEVELESS OR THAT SHOWED ANY CLEAVAGE my mother is 42 years old and was wearing a long dress again no cleavage was showing.. and after being sat down I would say the waitress and other staff members would have noticed we were wearing anything inappropriate.. I spoke to manager the following day and nothing was done..not even an apology..and this is after he admitted the security guard was out of line.. Never have I been so humiliated in my whole life..Please think TWICE before going there
I cant really give this place a 5 and it would be unfair to give it a 1. The reason being, because although this place is not ideal for a meal if youre into that kinda thing, it does have a vast wine list if your into that.ProA lot of wineConWine list is longer than food menu, and the food was on the overprice side of things.Other thoughtsWould go here to drink, but not to eat.

2022-03-16I came here to eat dinner on a Tuesday night. We had to enter through the indoor side door. The place had nice high ceilings, and looked pretty nice! It was a bit awkward to figure out where to go to the hostess table to get seated. The employees look to seems to have the option to wear a masks or not, and the same is true for the guest.Once seated our drinks were taken relatively quickly. We did order calamari for an appetizer, and it was delicious! I had the shrimp ala vodka for dinner which was nice and hot, with a sweet taste to me.The restrooms did also look nice. The sink itself I would say has a form over function since it does easily cause splash back to occur. The noise level seemed to range in the high 70s to low 80s dB range which would maybe be slightly louder than expected. The establishment also currently had a 93 health inspection report, which is nice.Overall, its a nice environment to come and have a nice conversation with someone.

2022-04-22Such a great place to socialize in a nice safe environment. Live band on Sundays and delicious food. We met up with family and friends and had a great time! Service was excellent as well. They had the best lamb Ive tasted in Atlanta, we ordered medium. This location is at Atlantic Station. They have affordable parking underneath the restaurant if you dont want to valet park. Just ask the valet team where to park and theyll point you in the right direction. Also there are alot of other stores and shopping in walking distance.

2022-02-20This is a nice spot to go to if you want to have drinks. The bartenders are friendly and the drinks are good. The food is just “okay”. The fries were the best thing that I had. The pasta needed seasoning but dish was edible.

2022-02-22I visited this place with a girl friend this past Friday for the 1st time & I would like to say the vibe of this place is beautiful! The music is so relatable and the food is AMAZING!! I recommend getting the salmon or the Creole styled pasta! 10/10! The drinks are amazing as well depending on what you’re looking for, sweet or steady & this place was perfect for the millennial age group! The only thing the restaurant lacked was timing on food & service, but they were super busy as well. We talked to the manager about it & she compensated our services on our tickets! She was super polite, understanding & well working with us. We honestly can’t wait to go back! It’s definitely a new weekend spot for us & have already told some more friends to go back with us in the future!

2022-05-09Had reservations for brunch, but they had not really reserved a table for us. Our server did not come to the table; asked hostess if we could order after waiting 20 minutes. Hostess took order, but also took other tables’ orders, so order was not given to kitchen for a while. Coffee finally came after 30 minutes, and food came after 1 hour. Food was good, but it’s not worth the poor service.

2022-03-06The food was reminiscent of a Lean Cuisine frozen meal. This is a hotel restaurant- the bill reads Twelve Atlanta, and gratuity is automatically added to all bills. The food was representative of room service- edible, but not worth $90 for two, no alcohol. Our server was friendly and attentive, however, some staff had on extremely strong perfume. I couldnt stay past appetizers, so took my entree home with me. Im sorry to say that I would never return, nor recommend.

2022-04-22I had the salmon, broccolini and fingerling potatoes. It was average quality. Had better. Was expensive -about $40. Did not come with bread. Not sure what the Dine in experience might give you. It was late, around 9pm and kitchen closes at 9:30pm. Just wanted something good and healthy. Probably will skip this place in the future.

2021-12-06It was ok the service wasn’t very good. Very boring uninteresting greeting, plain service. Food was fresh, hot. Flavorful. Need better staff service.

2022-05-10The food was the worst Ive had in a long while. And the prices were too steep for the offerings from food to alcoholic beverages. The 2 hour Max for reservations is ridiculous. I will never return to this venue. I will however give credit to the musical entertainment and our waitress. But it is not worth the time and does not live up to the hype unfortunately. Dont bother!

2021-08-27Pizza was undercooked, doe was raw, ate two pieces, Prince Edward Mussels were very fishy, wife who loves mussels wouldn’t eat them. Cesar with Salmon-was also very fishy and my wife would not eat. 20% Gratuity automatically added for two people, and get this, 20% service charge on top of the gratuity. Over $90. I feel like I was robbed…..horrible ending to a wonderful day visiting museums.
