Well Ive been to the AMC in Athens, but this one was on my list because of the BigDDD experience, and honestly its impressive. Ill update after the movie is done, but so far so good.Movie was good, but that particular experience wasnt as good as I was hoping it did the job, but didnt blow me away. They have a Dolby Cinema experience thats supposed to be the best AMC has, but this is still better than standard 2d viewing.
This is my preferred theater, even with the poor review. Everything up to the movie was excellent. But once we got into the theater the experience soured considerably. They overbooked for Spiderman, to the point where my children and I had to share seats and some people were standing. Needless to say, social distancing was not an option this day. Great movie though.
Thor on the big screen in 3D is definitely the way to go. The theater is clean and the staff is friendly. Like many the only gripe that I have is the fact that it cost an arm and a leg even to see a matinee movie these days. Even with the movie clubs that you have to pay extra for you still do not feel like you got your moneys worth.
The movie theater is great, top of the line for our area. But jeez luis, the prices are outrageous. It costed $40 plus dollars for two tickets and a popcorn and drink... $9 for a large popcorn, and $8 for a drink. We paid 12 bucks a piece for the tickets so thats somewhat reasonable. I understand movie theaters are dying and they have to make their money. But they fill up an entire movie theater auditorium, at those prices they have to make a killing. I know Netflix cant be doing that much damage...
This theater is okay. Its the closest to home so it is convenient, but not very pleasant. The seats are small, and cramped together, The floor is always dirty, the air is either musty/moldy smelling and too warm even in the winter months. It seems like owners just dont care about the cleanliness. With so many subdivisions going up, youd think that they would throw some money into the place so that people would come out but I guess not. I only come here when I do t want to drive out to Athens and thats not often.
Used to be a nice place with fast service. A lot of the seats have stains on them or the armrest. Floors are also sticky.3 different lines to get to the counter make it confusing for new people. Had to direct people to the correct lines tonight because they were confused.
They have signs posted on the door and website stating that masks must be worn regardless of the CDC if youre vaccinated no mask rule but more than 90% of the guests had on no mask. And not one employee or manager said anything. Also, theres no separation between seats so everyone is seating on top of each other. Personally, I still wear my mask and I sat way up top away from the majority of the guests. But if you are going to have signs posted then I would think you would enforce it somewhat. They dont take your bucket to fill it up because they are trying to remain contactless but the bag they gave me didnt fill up my bucket and they said they were not doing refills. Overall, it was okay.
Im really enjoy this movie theater. The staff are always very nice helpful and cheerful. The popcorn is great and my favorite part is being able to add the amount of butter I want on my own. The theater is generally clean and the seating is comfortable for watching a movie.
This place is hands down the best place to watch movies! First reason being the tickets are perfectly priced so youre more willing to buy food and drinks while you watch the movie. Yes some of the food and drinks can be on the pricey side but the food is well worth it! Everything from the appetizers burgers and milkshakes is one hundred percent delicious!
Horrible experience. Waited in line for 15 mins, only 4 people ahead of us. Service is impossibly slow. No diet products at all in fountain. Cashier and manager completely clueless. Youd be better off going to a different theater, or better yet, stay home (its cheaper and a lot more comfortable). This is my LAST visit to Bethlehem AMC and I dont recommend it to anyone else.
Its a great theater. Seats are comfortable, and prices are reasonable. My only complaint is, every line feeds to the snack bar for payment. I usually dont buy any snacks and, only need my ticket. Took my son to see Toy Story 4 and, even though we were 30 minutes early, we almost missed the beginning of the movie because of the long line for people ordering food. They have special lines that go before, why isnt there a single line for JUST ticket purchase...?
The floor is always clean. I dont think Ive ever walked into one of the theaters and felt my shoe sticking to the floor. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the movies are run on time. The only bad part of this place is how insane the prices at the concession stand are. Just this past weekend (10/3/19) I was charged $12 for a large caramel apple popcorn.
They literally make you watch 30 minutes of credits and if you don’t want to sit through them you can’t buy a ticket, really baffles my mind. then on top of that they don’t have they’re closing hours anywhere on they’re site so they expect you to guess they’re schedule. the customer service is so horrible, they get so rude when you ask a question about why they’re time schedule is messed up.
Excellent theater. Probably easily among the very best Ive ever been to. Everything is clean (which is amazing to me, because I grew up with nasty local theaters), chairs are comfy and not broken, screens are good quality, sound is good, pricing is typical of movie theaters, and no worker ever seems rude here. Really easy to get your tickets online on Fandango and then come here for the show. Great experience every time we come, which is fairly often, as its almost always this theater we go to when we go see a movie. I recommend it!
It gets the job done. The lines are a little weird. Theres separate lines for if you purchase tickets, you already have, program members; yet its 1st come 1st serve when youre waived forward. Staff super friendly though. Movie showed nice, seats comfortable. The concessions stand is mostly separate from the register, I guess this gets people out of the line faster but that seems a little neglected as of such.
Don’t waste your time. They shouldn’t even be open right now because they’re not prepared. We spent over $48 to prebuy tickets, popcorn, and sodas for a 1:00 show. We were there when the doors opened at 12:30. The theatre still has 3 sets of lines set up. Prebuy & Fandango, Premier, and Regular. Even though supposedly because of Covid all tickets are supposed to be pre-bought to facilitate 40% seating capacity. Its utter chaos and people get to the counter in random order. We saw people getting waited on who came in the door 15 minutes after us.There should only be one line and people get helped in the order they came in the door. It’s a cluster mess.We were in line for 45 minutes and our movie had already started by the time we got in the theatre. We bought tickets for Theatre 1 - Big D, but were told there was a problem, so we had to go to Theatre 12.We were the first show of the day, but the soda machines were not stocked and they were out of many of the soft drinks and flavors, before the day had even started.First show of the day and the bathrooms were still filthy from last night. The Covid Seating Restrictions are a farce. People just ignored the blocked off rows and sat right behind each other for the movie.Until this theatre goes to assigned seating, go someplace else. This place is terrible
I went here with my daughter and gradchildren to see Toy Story 4. The movie was definitely a 5. We attended a very early showing on a weekday. The lobby, the theater, and the mens room that I visited were all very clean. The tickets were expensive but actually seemed reasonable when compared to the eating stuff. The seats were very comfortable. The sound was great. There were very few other people in the theater so there was no extraneous noise, including cell phone junk. I am not much of a movie person, but I would certainly enjoy being here to see another.
Love this theater. Reasonably priced and I love how the theater is surrounded by other restaurants in case you wanna grab a bite after you see a movie. The staff is always nice, quick and efficient. Always a pleasant experience and definitely will/would recommend for others to come here😊
We like our local movie theater! Its generally clean, other than the restrooms. It seems that their restrooms always could use more attention. Friendly staff, the newer movies, and you can save money by catching a matinee or a Tuesday night movie. We buy the popcorn bucket every year and they refill it for less than $5 for the entire year.
An okay experience. The seats arent the most comfortable and I wish there were better system to get your tickets separately from the concession. It can really slow things down if your trying to get to your seats quickly. But all in all, I enjoyed my movie viewing experience.
A cool little theater. It’s economically priced. We saw the newest Avengers movie here and we still got a good seat even though there aren’t assigned seats.Condiments were affordable and the theater was clean. Seats were comfortable. They kind of rock back but not actually recline.
I went to see a movie here today. It was nasty, dirty, tissues left in the cup holders, paper all over the floor. Women bathroom was disgusting. No tissue, all the stalls were dirty. Went to get water from fountain looked like the stainless steel hadn’t been clean in weeks. Told the cashier and she said it was clean when she was standing in a puddle of paper. When movie started myself and another gentleman had to go and find someone to turn the lights out. When movie was over they didn’t turn the lights on. It was a horrible experience. Never again
Went to see Avengers opening weekend. This theater was so disorganized. They had lines roped off with signs for prepurchase tickets, but the line ended up being for concessions. We waited 10 minutes and line didnt move. We finally realized we could go straight to ticket checker and get our seats. They have self serve drink machines, most everything was out, no ice either. There was limited space to prepare multiple drinks for my kids and already had hands full with popcorn. Very poor setup for the amount of room they have. Not customer friendly concessions area at all! The seats and sound in the bigd theater was awesome and very comfortable. Allow extra time for drink and popcorn purchase because of how bottle necked that area is.
Went to see Tenant on November 13th 6:50pm showing. Movie had no bass no mids. Volume was at 30%. I saw this movie two weeks ago with excellent sound quality at another movie theater. It took three attempts for them to say they couldnt fix it. And they blamed the movie for being quiet (a Christopher Nolan film) Absolute garbage experience. They didnt care at all and kept blowing me off every time I left the theater to ask them to fix it. What a waste of money.
Movie, popcorn, and drink was great. There just wasnt enough workers. It took almost fifteen mimutes of waiting in line. They had ten checkouts but only three employees. Then there was a premium line that was allowed through first. My suggestion would be to get there at least twenty minutes early.
Really hated that this theater. They make you stand in line to purchase your tickets at the concession counter. You purchase your ticket and refreshments at the same time. Convenient for them but bad for the customer. Especially if you dont want refreshments. You are still forced to stand in the refreshment line, which is the ticket purchasing line. We missed all of the previews before the movie. This theater needs to implement a ticket window!
Not really happy with this theatre. When you walk in, you have to wait in line to get up to the concession stand to get your tickets. Granted there are priority lines based on your membership... But even as a premier member, we had to wait 5 minutes behind people trying to decide what snacks they wanted when we already had electronic versions of our tickets and were waiting on the paper copy. They need to rethink the logic of this.Then.... One of the mens restrooms was closed, the remaining mens restroom only had one toilet working.
This place always feels warm and just gross overall. It smells bad and I hate the way that they do ticketing. If you purchase ahead of time online, you still have to wait in line to pick up your tickets. It kind of defeats the purpose of purchasing ahead of time. The concessions are expensive but thats the same at every movie theater. Im not a huge fan of this theater and avoid it if I can, but if you dont feel like driving out to a better place, this will do.
This theater was a huge disappointment. After watching movies for many years at the AMC in Lawrenceville I just assumed that the theater seating would be just as nice here, but I was sadly wrong. The seats were outdated and nowhere near as comfortable as the one in Lawrenceville. But the absolute worst part of this experience was their ticket sales scam. There was no ticket booth. There was no one to purchase tickets from when you arrive. Rather, you are forced to wait in the refreshment line and purchase tickets from them. Anyone can clearly see that this is nothing more than a scam to get customers to purchase their overpriced food and drink. We were late getting into the movie sure to having to wait on others who were purchasing refreshments. I did not appreciate this tactic at all
It has always bothered me that movie theaters charge an arm and a leg for pop corn and other snacks. It actually costs more to buy concessions than a ticket. First of all, Y am a diabetic and can not eat the food they sell. A diet coke just doesnt cut it and neither does the price for one. I sneak my own food in and my own sugar free drink. And they have a policy of not allowing one to bring their own food in. Well, heres the deal..... If they tell someone with diabetes they cant bring their own food in, they are violating the Americans with Disability Act. The food I bring in is not sold at the concession stand. I stopped going to the movies years ago because of the cost of concessions. I know many of my friends sneak their own snack into the movie because of the outrageous prices. Its obscene, and if more people would boycott the concession stand, maybe the prices would come down.
I saw Endgane here Friday night. This is my new theater. I will never go to Conyers again. It was nice and cool in the theater I was in. The sound was good and the screen was huge. Popcorn was fresh and you can add extra butter yourself. It was clean and didnt smell. The seats recline a bit. It is just so much nicer than I am used to. So maybe that makes my review a bit skewed. But when you come from trash it is hard top not be.
At this theater there is no window or kiosk to buy a movie ticket. Instead you have to wait in line behind the folks buying concessions just to get a movie ticket. Not a fan of this set up. Plus they were under staffed and in slow motion. It was clean and I enjoyed the movie but for the price of everything definitely wont go back to this location.
I liked the BigD theater, huge screen and comfy seats. We usually go to a Regal cinema closer to home, but we had a gift card for this place. I thought it was bizarre to wait in line when you enter, even if you bought tickets ahead online. They force everyone to get tickets at the concession stand. I get the concept, and Im sure it gets more people to buy more $6 sodas, but it was a huge inconvenience after paying a $7 convenience fee online. It soured the experience as soon as we arrived. Not cool.
Movies are a nice date but you seldom get what you pay for. Too expensive for the food and drinks. They should just let people bring their own food and charge what they need to as tickets for movies. I also hate the 1/2 hour of commercials for coming movies. Overall this theatre is clean, employees are courteous. Lines can be long for good movie premieres.
Great theater, comfortable and clean. They have good deals during week days, and popcorn bucket deal for those who live close by that offers cheap refills. need to purchase a new bucket each year but worth it if your a frequent movie goer. Buy your tickets online before for go through fandango to avoid lines.
EDITED: I do pride myself on being honest. (Hence, the name. Lol) It did just come to my attention tonight that the message I sent to corporate never got to them. So, I will be responding it. Really hoping they do something....I am not wanting free tickets. I truly want this place to be a success so I can enjoy it for years to come. Please, AMC, fix the problem so patrons can breathe. Clean it up. Please.Never...ever...again. Only employee working the front was on a phone for about 4 minutes while line grew. Then, theatre smelled horrible. It does not hit you until you actually walk in to the actual theatre you sit in. Management acknowledged they had a problem. Messaged corporate with no reply. Save yourself an asthma attack and drive 15 minutes farther to any other theatre. (It really is a shame. They had so many gluten free snack options. I have never seen so many options at a theatre before. I was quite thrilled until we walked in....)
LOWER YOUR CONCESSION PRICES PLEASE. This is a very nice theater; and staff are very nice and friendly: however, combine the constantly increasing ticket prices with the outrageous price for Coke and Popcorn, the average person cannot afford to visit a movie theater. Adopt the strategy taken by Mercedes-Benz Stadium, lower concession prices and you open yourself back up for the common family to be able to enjoy going to a movie
Good selection of 1st run movies.Every Tuesday is $5.99 movies.Get there early because you get tickets same place as refreshments(popcorn, candy, nachos, sodas) which makes for a slow order, long lines, long wait just to buy tickets.Popcorn is fresh popped.Good size theaters with large comfortable seats. No assigned seating available.3D theater ( but not worth it to me).Go there every Tuesday.
So sad... we used to prefer this theater. Since it’s changed to AMC it seems like it’s changed a bit. It’s always dirty now. The bathrooms are disgusting. It used to be so clean. No ticket kiosks? That should be a bare minimum for any theater in 2018. The lines are ridiculous, I don’t remember it taking so long. This is a great matinee theater. Forget going opening night it will not be a good experience, promise. AMC has a lot of work to do to turn this around.
This theater is alright. Nothing super bad, but also nothing spectacular to say about it. The ticket sales is a bit of a cluster, but that is simply because the concessions sells tickets and food. There can be a decent delay if its busy. The seats are adequate albiet a tad squished together. The floors and such were littered with popcorn the bathroom I used was exceedingly dirty. Otherwise it was totally passable.
We have taken the kids a few times for matinees and really enjoyed ourselves. The staff is very helpful and friendly. My boyfriend even lost his expensive phone in the theater and one of the staff was so kind to return it to him. It is always clean and very comfortable. Great place to take the family.
This was my second time going to this theater. The first time was to see Black Panther...which was a good experience and not so crowded. The bathroom wasnt so clean. This time, to see Avengers, it was a good movie experience...other than a group of teenagers sitting behind me...noisy and one spilled his bag of popcorn on me! The seats are very comfortable in #1 (BigD) screen. The same urinal in the lobby area mens bathroom that had plastic taped on it during my first visit in February still hasnt been fixed. The faucet in the other bathroom is completely broken off. The supervisor or manager must do a better job at ensuring sanitation! Prices are a bit high. On a good note, the cashier #4570 at my 11pm purchase displayed excellent customer focus/service!
I really wish that they would clean better here. I enjoy having a movie theater this close to my house, but it is usually not clean. The last time that I went to the theater, someone had overflowed the sink and I slipped and fell and hit my head on the counter and then the floor. Its been almost 3 weeks and my hip is still severely bruised and sore.
This place has great graphics, tasty popcorn, nice seats, but I wish that there was more space between the seats, sometimes I need to stretch my legs after sitting in a position for a long time but when I try I hit the seat in front of me. Other than that everything was great!
Can you say mold? After being shut down for Covid and not running the air for the summer the theater smells like a bad basement of mold and there is visible mold on the ceiling above the concessions. Very sad. We were going to be in theater 8 but did not even sit down the smell was so bad.
This AMC is the pits ! This use to be Carmikes Theaters and it was always well kept and clean but not any more since AMC took over. There were 5 stalls out of order in the Ladies Room and it could have stand a good cleaning. The last 2 years the air conditioning is not working properly, its humid with a funky odor. Also $9 plus change for a large popcorn with NO refill unless youre a member. They keep saying theyre going to remodel but how about just keeping it clean for now ?
Everyone that works at this theater needs customer service training. But to be honest I think thats a waste of time with this group of employees. There are 5 people out smoking or hanging out near the back door that is all employees as I pull into the theater tonight while customers are waiting to get tickets and food. There are only two people taking food orders and tickets when I walk into the theater. You need to have a ticket booth and someone scanning tickets at the theater not getting tickets behind the concession stand. It doesnt matter if you purchase tickets before coming to the theater you still have to stand in line and wait to have your ticket scanned with all the customers purchasing tickets and ordering from the concession stand. The theater is gross its never clean it stinks and your employees are rude and unfriendly. Elena who usually works in the day is a pure B_tch. She gossips and complains about all the customers and she hates her job its very obvious with her poor attitude. In fact, they all hate their job. There was a little red head girl with long hair who cleans theaters and she stands at the door before the movie is even finished waiting for you to get out. When you walk out she gives you this look of evil. Theyre all kids who just complain about everything. There is to many good people in this world that want and need jobs and work well with the public. They have all these employees working and there either hanging out the back door or in the managers office doing nothing. There is a lot of play time for the employees and managers while customers are rushing to get into there movies. The movie theater is always freezing. When I was there some customers went out to get there blanket and coats because of the temperature in the theater and they got locked out. I walk out and there knocking at the door and Elena keeps saying we are closed. I walked up to get a refill on a drink and opened the door to see what they needed. I mean sometimes you leave something in the theater. We have lost a phone in the theater before and all we did was get the run around from management. So they showed me their tickets and stated they got blankets and coats and came back and got locked out. This was a family. I told them, Elenna, the employee up front would not let them in. What a B_tch. The family was very thankful. All movies had been playing they were on the last shows and there was maybe 30 to an hour left for the movies playing. I went and talked to a manager I told the manager what happened and all the past issues Ive had with this theater and shes like the employees have to call us if someone needs in the door. Well, Elena didnt do s_it but stated to the customers were closed. When you spend the money that it cost to go to one of these movies as a family you hate to lose it trying to stay comfortable because your freezing in the theater. The Managers in the office always do nothing while lines are backed up. All other theaters in the area always have managers that help when it gets crowded. Most of them stay out front helping. The drink machines are always broken down. Tonight it was just gross. Out of lids and coke all over the place and no napkins. But yet the employees are out back socializing. The popcorn is always cold. They pre-pop to much popcorn before they need it and it gets cold. And they mix the old with the new. I was eating popcorn one night and each handful was different and then I bit into this gross handful of popcorn that tasted like there was some chemical in it. It was so nasty. I went to the concession stand to get a new bucket and guess what they were closed. All the employees are gone. There was not one employee in site and this was just after the last movie started. I have never found that at any other AMC theater. I park in the handicap near the back door. One night I came out of the movie and there was theater food on my car. I looked at my dash cam and it was employees from the theater throwing food on cars. A cop told me you should prosecute them.
How you get your tickets is completely asinine. There are three separate lines want to get a ticket one for some premium membership and the third for online tickets. If you dont want to be late to a movie then you need to show up at least 10 to 15 minutes before Showtime. They should have somebody at the online section just scanning people QR codes other than that clean facilities and nice seating
I dont think Ive written a negative review before tonight, but I must in this case.I paid $12 to watch a blurry movie in which the clarity of view was like a Tv from the 1990s. I cant remember a movie experience of worse quality. In addition, the curtains werent pulled back all the way causing the movie ends to be covered. They corrected that issue after I complained. After the end of the movie, I spoke to a manager about the viewing quality. He was nice, apologized, and said my experience was a first for their theatre. Really? The two positives were the concession staff were very friendly, and they have a line of healthy bagged nuts to choose from over the candies and ultra high priced popcorn.I may try this theatre again one day to see if there has been any improvements. Apparently AMC has taken over this formerly Carmike theatre, and they told me upgrades are on the way. Maybe there is hope, til then, they should charge $4 a movie. Worst $12 movie experience in 30 years.
Last 2 times my family and I went to watch a movie the lobby was disgusting. Near the soda machines there was soda and popcorn spilled all over the floor. The first time 2 employees walked around with brooms but I didnt see them sweeping. One of the bathrooms had the urinal taped off and just needed to be clean. Also the televisions that display movie times never work. Staff is very friendly just need someone to own the cleaning job!
I absolutely love this theater. The seats are extremely comfortable. The personnel are kind and are always eager to help with any issues one may have. I have been to other theaters in the area but none come anywhere close to the atmosphere and comfort you will get here. Its as close to sitting in your living room watching a movie.
It cost me $40+ for me and my daughter and The line was super slow. The popcorn was stale. Several drink selections were out. They didnt even check our tickets so I must say that I would rather go to the Carmike Crossroads in Conyers and that one is nasty all the time. 😏😏
This is a great new theater that has some very, very odd and confusing characteristics that prevent it from being a 5-star cinema:1. You have to wait in line for concessions to buy...tickets. Yes, even if you know you dont want to spend $10.00 on a small popcorn, or $8.00 on a drink, you still have to wait in line with people who DO want to buy concessions.2. While waiting to buy tickets, there are 2 lines--one for normal ticket purchases, and one for customers who have purchased Fandango/online tickets. No problem, I get that you pay a $2-3.00 convenience fee online, so you should get to skip ahead in the lines once you arrive. The problem is, a lot of people ignore the fact that the 2nd line is for Fandango tickets ONLY, and they get in that line to bypass the normal, longer line to essentially cut in line. You can imagine the type of people who do this, and the workers/managers there dont even care if you say something. This turns into 1-2 people cutting in line every ~5 minutes, so you can expect to wait a minimum of 10-15 minutes in line unless you go at some weird off-hour.3. There have been several occasions when the workers did not clean the theaters on time. I dont mean a few minutes behind, but so late on a few occasions that we werent even allowed to go into the theater until after the previews had started! I personally dont care much for previews, but some people really do. And to be told to get up and get out so the workers can clean the theater--even though the movie was technically supposed to start 2-3 minutes ago--is obscene. Some nutty little overweight woman borderline yelled at us about a year ago for coming into the theater before it was cleaned--god forbid we assume the staff had already done their job and had the theater ready 3-5 minutes before the movie time.4. Some of the lower-tier movies that come out are available *ONLY* in 3D at this theater. Even if you dont want to see the movie in 3D, youre forced to on some occasions because they literally dont have standard/non-3D showings of it. This wouldnt be a big deal, except now youre paying $4-5.00 more per ticket because they charge a premium for 3D. The major movies always have several options, but if you want to see a less-popular movie, you may be stuck paying $14-16.00 per ticket.5. Movie times online are sometimes wrong. Yes, even in todays age of instant-information and the death of distance, somehow this theater sometimes displays the wrong showing times online than what the actual showing times are. Ive only noticed them be off twice, but when you find out youve missed the previous showing by 25 minutes, and the next showing is 40 minutes later, it can be sort of disappointing and/or throw off your plans for anything after the movie.Aside from these things, the theater itself is new and clean. No issues with the seating or quality of experience, etc. Just dont be surprised when you experience some weird stuff once you arrive.
Good theater but needs a makeover on the outside and Ive been a couple of times where the movie screen was messed up or it was mildew smelling in the theater. They refunded no questions asked but this is the main reasons for not giving the full 5 stars. Thank you for reading.
My friend mya works here, Im probably spelling that wrong but yall should definitely give her a raise. Also the people behind me were doing the nasty and left in the middle of the movie to finish doing the nasty and then came back during the last 30 minutes. Besides that this place is pretty cool I always enjoy the movies and stuff, keep it up👍💅🏿
Very poorly managed. We had already purchased tickets and had to go to the concession stand to have tickets scanned. Same long line to order tickets at theatre get concessions or just have pre ordered tickets scanned. Really need to think this. Most theatres have a person when you enter the theatre to scan your pre purchased tickets and another place to order tickets for movies at the theatre and a line for concessions. Not everything is done at the concession line
Have been to this theater twice now. I don’t believe it was AMC when I first came. Definitely not what I’m used to. Lobby was fairly gross I’m a stubs premiere member and they took people in the general admission line before me and that isn’t supposed to happen. The cashier didn’t know how to use the stubs rewards and didn’t offer to let me use mine and didn’t give me a chance to say I wanted to use them. Didn’t offer us any collectible stuff since we were seeing Star Wars and overall this theater was just a disappointment. Bathrooms were well maintained though.
We visited this theater and we were a little disappointed. It started when we entered, the scanners werent working and the staff member had to enter my A stubs number manually. When I asked if this happens often the staff member replied yes. After checking in I decided to use the small mens room at the entry and found it dirty with a nonfunctioning urinal. After that I found out there was a bigger mens room past the snack counter. Why they didnt rope off the broken one is beyond me.
Get there a hour early if you want to get seated after the previews play. Worst set up ever for a box office, you purchase tickets where concessions are so the lines are long! We went there on a Saturday night and the line was pressed up against the back wall with no option to use a ticket kiosk. There is a shorter premiere club que but it looks like only a handful of people are special club members. Was a very disappointing experience and we left - aint nobody got time for that!My recommendation: this theater is only good for a matinee showing. Otherwise, prepare to wait at the entrance door or outside to even buy your tickets.
Usually place isnt too bad, but lately... its lacking... umm.. ALOT. The theater they put us in though... it was damp. I mean... all the seats, and smelled horrible of mildew. This was last Tuesday btw. We shouldve asked for our money back. What I dont understand is why.... in the heck, would you seat ppl in here???!!!! they even had a small humidifier on theater, that wasnt doing anything. Really got me was they didnt bother to say anything to anyone. They need to work on this theater now thats its become an AMC, cause this place has become slack, and customer service is weak.
They had three people working upfront on $5 ticket day (side note: the tickets are only $5 if youre a Stubs member). And since this used to be a Carmike, concessions and tickets are all one line. So those 3 people were having to sell concessions and tickets, while also signing people up for Stubs so they could get the $5 tickets. We were in line for over 30 minutes. While we were waiting, the manager came out and stood around watching the practically unmoving line for a bit with another employee. Then they walked off.The people working concessions/tickets were friendly and helpful. What got to me was the fact that management should have been better prepared, with more people working the front on a day with special pricing. The theater wasnt packed by any means, it was just that the people at the desk were overwhelmed because of understaffing, and the manager didnt jump in and help or find someone to help.Thankfully we live just as close to AMC Colonial in Lawrenceville, so we will just go there from now on.
If I could give this movie theater no stars, I would. I was the very first person in line, yet I stood there for 15 minutes, while I watched the manager walk around talking to other employees. She then casually went to go make herself a drink and again proceed to hangout, while the line continuously piled up behind me. During this time there was only one register open, in which the emplyee continued to help the people who were not even in line, but were just walking up. Myself and the many families behind me were upset at how long we were waiting, when there were plenty of employees who could have helped us, yet were standing around. Overall, I am really bummed that AMC hired such careless employees, who looked as if they were just trying to kill some time until their shift was over. I decided that if these employees could not even give me the time of day, then there was no point in my continuing to wait, so I left. I guess I’ll just wait for the movie to come out on Redbox.
God awful today. April 5, 2019 the line is crazy long and they have one person working at the cash register’s. We arrived 30 minutes prior to our movie and we have been standing in line for 50 minutes. Our movie has already started this is beyond ridiculous. From now on I will go to Athens there is a zero wait, they offer kiosks for your purchases .
My family and I attend this theater regularly and love it! The Bethlehem Carmike is clean, has comfortable seating, and has great picture and sound quality. Prices are also very affordable. It is well worth the 25 miles my family drives (one way) to see films this theater.
Please, please change the way you sell tickets! I should not have to wait 30+ mins for Billy Bob, Betty Sue, and their 6 kids to decide if they all want drinks and snacks while running around acting uncivilized. Please separate ticket and concession sales so everyone else can be on time to see their movie and not late from waiting forever in line for people like Billy Bob and familys concession fiasco. Thank you! Otherwise, I would give you five stars.
It took 15 min for one lady and son to get ticket and small popcorn. Cashier admitted he was having a conversation about something private while others waited in line. People constantly looking at their phones throughout movie when reporting this management just shrugs.
This was the worst movie experience to date. I’m an AList member and have been a Stubs member for years. I go almost weekly and am committed to AMC. For the first time visit to Bethlehem I saw they were doing bathroom remodel/construction. After using their three stall restroom after await, there was a leaky floor and no soap in the restroom. I noticed a worker and went into my movie. Toward the end of the movie I left to use the restroom again and of course, waited in a long line for three stalls. This wait was much longer and after waiting for hand wash realized they were still out of soap. Aggravated that soap wasn’t restocked in 2 hours I tracked down a manager. Once I told my frustration to the manager I went back to my theatre to find the end credits rolling. I missed the last 20ish minutes of the movie. This is disappointing and very nasty to k ow women had t washed hands for hours...I won’t be returning.
Terrible. Take all three kids to see pets 4. Had a weird accent girl that charged me $32 for one adult and three kids on a Tuesday. Asked if I member tewards card and she shrugged it off. Coming to find out Tuesday it $5 movie day so I pitched a damn fit and asked why didnt she truly to upsell me the price and she didnt know what to say. Proceeded to get manager and she seemed a little overwhelmed.
One of the cleanest theatres Ive ever been to. The floors arent sticky, the lines are never long, & the bathrooms are always stocked & tidy. They dont have any of the fancy stuff, like recliners, Imax, or food/drinks brought to you during the movie... if thats the kind of theatre youre looking for, maybe go to Athens or Stonecrest. This one is just your basic movie theatre. They do have Real D or Big DDD or whatever its called. Its the 3D viewing on a larger screen. They do recycle their 3D glasses.
One of the rooms is very bad. The sound system is all jacked up. You dont feel like youre going to a theatre. The movie image was not sharp. All blurry and out of focus. It was even worse than watching youtube with lowest video quality setting. To give a benefit of the doubt, it could be that one room I was in was not good bc my friends said other rooms were better than it.
This was the most uncomfortable place I have ever went to the movies . First we had to wait in line for a very long time for tickets . You buy your tickets at the concession counter . There were many registers but only two open . Then when our movie began , there were people running , literally , back and forth in and out of the theater room , and a family of 6 sat behind us , with what seemed to be 2 seven yr olds , they kept kicking our seats , which were seats that recline back some and my seat was being pushed up and forward and when we gently asked them to stop their children , we were cussed and told that if we didnt like it to move . I will not patronize this theater again , I refuse to drive to Winder from Loganville to wait in line for tickets and to be abused by people who cannot and will not control children . I sat in horror of what they were up to behind us the entire time . I should have moved but I didnt think I could cave to being bullied .
It wouldn’t be so bad but I went the other night, before going into the movie I used the restroom. One toilet was over flowing everywhere. I come back out after a 2 hour movie and it’s all over the bathroom floor I was slipping and sliding. That’s gross and hazardous
Came in tonight to see Neighbors 2 (if you havent seen it, GO!)Anywho, I noticed that something was casting a shadow over the top left hand corner of the screen right before the movie started, so I went and found an employee, who quickly found out what the issue is and fixed it.We all know how outrageous the movie theater concession prices are, but guess what? This one lets you make your own drink and get free refills. If you dont mind missing literally 1 minute of the movie, you can refill your beverage. The popcorn flavor station is also nice...free butter and cheddar salt FTW!! I will definitely be using this theater from now on. The tickets were only 10.25 as opposed to the Mall of GAs being almost 14!! Seats were comfy, screen was big to begin with, but right as the movie was starting, the screen literally unrolled and became almost twice as big! Its awesome!
Im a single dad of a 6 year old little girl who was super excited to go see The Lego Movie tonight the movie was great the theater was not as clean as I expected it to be the popcorn was a little burnt and the prices are way overpriced I bought a bucket two years ago for the popcorn to be cheaper each time we went and we found out tonight that when you buy the bucket you can only get that discount for the first year after that you just spent all that money on a bucket for nothing so its not very happy about that but its close and it is what it is just hopefully theyll see these reviews and clean up their act a little bit and hopefully drop the prices so families can enjoy it more often thanks for reading and have a blessed evening
Im not impressed with all the rip off pricing for conseccion. I dont like hollyweird movies and or the folk who play in them. Its all make believe. Its total garbage to me. I only went to chaperone my kids. All this junk is way over priced and total garbage in my opinion. I cant believe all the millions of folks that eeewwed and aaaahhhed over this garbage.Anyway way way way over priced.
I love this theater and the location. What i dont love is having to wait in line for 30 minutes to get tickets and I don’t think I am alone. If we dont want snacks, why should we wait for everyone that does want snacks. Carmike, this is a terrible business model! Give us a kiosk to get our tickets like your competitors do. I don’t want to buy my tickets online and pay your partner a courtesy fee. I will drive the extra 10 mins to a competitor or I will just wait for the movie to come out on Netflix or Amazon. We would and many more consumers would do more business with you. I don’t think I am the only person that thinks this way !
Literally just waited at the counter for some help for over 15 minutes whilst missing my show to try and get some stuff. One employee who was cleaning crew went to go get help just to return and say that he wasn’t authorized to get me a drink or anything. Employee number two who had sold me my tickets finally shows up after almost 20 minutes looking like he was about to go out for a toke break and says he can’t help me because you’re closed ?My guy it’s a Saturday night and you still got hella people in here watching shows and tryna conduct business. TF you mean you’re closed ?I hate this place.
Very nice movie theater and now its even better that it was taken over by AMC. But like everybody else posted they do need to do something about selling tickets and concessions. They need to have a ticket booth right when you walk in or at least an electronic ticket booth that way you can purchase them without talking to somebody.
I am a bit of a movie buff, as anyone reading the reviews on Google probably is as well. I, however, have not devoted much time to writing reviews nor do I think Ill be that good at it...The Bethlehem Carmike is a great movie theater to visit. It is modern and when you enter it is clear where the ticket line begins. The line moves rather quickly, even with a crowd; the management seems to know what they are doing, scheduling the right amount of workers, especially when a new movie comes out.The staff are cordial and Ive been greeted by any of them I make eye contact with (again thats a sign of good management). The ticket prices are about the same as any other theater, but they do have incentives depending on what day of the week, what time of the day, and also a rewards program. The food is your typical over priced theater food, what can you do? Thats probably where theaters make most of their money, can you blame them? The bathrooms are clean and Ive never been in one that had any odors to it, to me that means that the staff take their jobs seriously, its almost as if they are on that Chick-Fil-A level. The theaters are appropriately sized and the seats are comfortable, they are also cleaned well between movies and the staff members are polite if they need to work around you (if you are an early bird like myself).Any problems I have had were corrected, even if that meant getting my money back. It is more technology than an individual, but they are understanding. Im not sure what else to day other than, GO TO THIS MOVIE THEATER! They may not have the newest, in style seats, i.e.: Movie Tavern and the updated AMC in Lawrenceville, but this Bethlehem Carmike is a gem.

2022-01-28I have had some pretty good experiences here, but those days were before the current global crisis. Recently, it just doesnt seem like the employees care about customer service nor upkeep of the facility. I havent stopped going to this particular location because I am trying really hard to support local business. Something has to change. Either management and staff will begin to value doing a good job, or I will be forced to choose a different way to enjoy watching movies. In other words..., Im saying theres a chance...

2022-05-28My wife and I watched the new Top Gun Maverick movie in the Big D theatre. The movie was great. The theatre was clean and the employees at the concession stand were very polite. We will definitely be back there soon.

2022-04-25I very much enjoy myself, the movie was amazing and seats are comfortable but the bathrooms (mens) are not working and my son says that a few guest didnt find the time to wash their hands and touch door (handicapped button) handles so a foot opener might help with this but thank you for outstanding movie. When we arrived there was 5 working behind the counter and we were passed on to the last person we did not get his name. He enrolled us in the rewards program (thank you) we learned about the popcorn bucket after we read it after the movie...

2022-06-28No leather seats, as well as dirt & grime in between the current ones. Understaffed, like most theaters as well. The picture was okay, however it IS GETTING to the point where a HOME BUILT theater will look & feel better than some of these antidiluvian theaters.

2022-05-06Not the great experience I remember from this theater. Movie volume wasnt loud enough (or the people behind us were too loud). Seats rocked back too easily, so you couldnt sit up straight even if you wanted to. For the money, NGC in Snellville has overtaken Bethlehem AMC. Just a better value.

2022-06-17Movie was great, staff was kind, but this place NEEDS a good cleaning. The bathrooms looked like they hadnt been truly cleaned in weeks and even some of the seats were questionable.

2022-04-03I called girl told me Sing 2 started at 3:30 so I brought my 4 year old grandson to see it and then told its not playing. The girl gave me tickets to Dog and it was and hour later before the movie even come on. By the time previews were done we left because Dog is for 13 years and older. Come on people. I wont be back!

2022-05-02I went to see a matinee, which are 30% cheaper. The theater was cool and comfortable and the snack prices were right in line with what youd expect. There are several places to eat right outside of the theater also.
