A coworker treated another coworker and I to lunch today from the Hill Street location. I’m not sure if our order was just rushed or the preparer(s) just didn’t care about the customers receiving what they actually ordered, but ALL of the wings on our order were prepared incorrectly, (not to mention that there was more bone to the minuscule wings than meat), and the lemonade had only a very slight hint of lemon flavor to it! As much as I appreciate the gift from my coworker, I am unappreciative of the carelessness put into our order!
Mask required and protective glass is up. Service was good and fast. Food was good Philly cheese steak was cooked great, wings good well seasoned and sauced deliciously.
Woman working at counter was not wearing a mask unless one mask ear loop attached to one ear with mask dangling down accounts for wearing a mask. A woman with 4 kids came in NOT ONE WEARING A MASK, solely to use the restroom and were allowed inside. Both women at the front counter acted like they hated their jobs. Service was terrible. Food was great.
Terrible. “If I could give 0 stars I would.” Wings were the size of my pinky finger & sauces were disgusting, the lemon pepper was awful & the honey hot tasted like it had no hot & just water. The fries were soggy. The workers were rude, forgot the drinks, no ranch, no straws. & the restaurant was a disgusting mess. $25 for two ten pieces down the drainnnnn

My favorite is the chicken Philly and the veggie fried rice it is so good sometime I order me a large chicken fried rice but this time I only got the chicken Philly with veggie fried rice
This location has friendly staff that go out of their way to meet the customers needs. Each and every time I order food to-go, they make sure to open it and show me to make sure everything looks perfect.Parking here is very easy and wide open with separate entrance and exits. Hill St. can be busy around rush hour because of the I-20 ramp nearby.Be careful, as there are two nearby gas stations that tend to attract panhandlers. This is not a place you want to eat in your car.

I love American Deli.. THIS location, however, is one I wont be visiting again. My partner ordered food and I went to the car to get his wallet and I decided Ill pay for it.. once he came back in I assumed the guy at the register would tell him I already paid BUT instead he made him pay again. I didnt realize until two orders came out with the same thing and I asked him WHY would he make him pay when he KNEW I just paid 😒😒😒 he issued a refund, but that was just dumb
They wings ok....the staff needs upgrading....they do not take call in orders. they dont even answer the phone. the staff needs uniforms. the cashier had on a see thru tank top...like oh wow!!!
First time going to this particular American deli and probably would be my last . The girl that works in the kitchen area with short hair that work on the wing station was VERY rude. She has the most nastiest attitude ever . I dont even see how she has a job there . Food was okay could of been better. The girl at the register keep up the good work dont let nobody rush you to do your job !
If you are looking to eat here for lunch on a Sunday don’t expect them to be open or helpful. There is a giant sign out front advertising open Sunday’s at noon. Upon walking in, the door was unlocked, the one employee that was inside proceeded to notify us that they were closed. When asked when they would open or why the sign states they are in fact open, he stated he didn’t know and continued playing on his phone- and just in general his dimeanor was one of disinterest about providing any kind of customer service. Being new to the neighborhood we had been looking forward to trying out American Deli but another attempt after that experience might be a hard pill to swallow! I hope whoever manages this location manages to find a decent staff.
The wing were pretty good but their chicken philly was dry and burnt, it was not much meat on the sandwich mostly cheese. Inside while waiting on my food I keep smelling something that smelled like the sewer. Which is why I couldnt eat inside the building I assume someone used the restroom and the workers didnt check it to clean.
The staff very helpful courteous and quick talkative and friendly . The place is clean and easy to park in lot food is delicious wings are my favorite. Decent prices but if you like french fries this is the place.

Placed a large chicken and fried rice order on Wednesday for 1pm pick up.Received great customer service, food was hot and packed well for carry out.I found a new place when I need to order lunch for my staff.
Service a little slow sometimes the foods always good. And truly nothing wrong with that. We expect I want it and I want it now. Put ourselves in their place over worked and under paid under staffed. Um gonna come back when I find out the regulars names and give a shout out they deserve it they make comfort food goood.

They need more help or a better way to run the store. I have attempted to call in orders and the phone is busy for hours. I finally made it through and was able to place an order. I get to location to pick up order only to find out it was not even started on. When I asked about it I was told they wait to cook orders when you come in. Huh??? What is the point of calling it in??? I ended up waiting a good 15 just standing there. Poor customer service!
This is the worst American Deli I have EVER been to. First they didn’t have celery to go with the wings. Then they wouldn’t allow me to get all flats even though I was willing to pay. Since they didn’t have celery I ordered a chef salad as my side and was told they were out of cucumbers. BUT TO TOP ALL OF THIS WHEN I RECEIVED THE CHEF SALAD AND TOOK A BITE THE TURKEY WAS SPOILED!!!!! I usually smell my meat before I eat it and I totally was not thinking. I soon as I took a bite the taste was terrible so I smelled the turkey and almost threw up!! I highly don’t recommend going here!
I like American Deli in genersl...but THIS LOCATION IS AWFUL. They neverrrrrrrrr....i mean NEVER are ready to open for business on time. They might as well change the open time to 12 smh. The owners dont acknowledge you and the staff is rude...besides one girl...she has dreadlocs and she is very nice and has good customer service...shes usually there in the evening. Everyone else 👎🏾And they need to keep it cleaner. Im never going back.
Horrible customer service. I walked from my apartment 30minutes before closing time. Sat and waited in the line, all for me to be next and the girl at the counter tells me that they cut the stove off and they actually close at 7:30 and not 8 like it says on every website and even on their front door. She didn’t care that I sat there and waited. Very dissapointing.

The lemon pepper chicken sauce was extremely slimy, it was really bad.I had never experienced that from any chicken wing restaurant. I just threw the whole order away.
First off I stood in line for 30 minutes after 11am so around 11:30 my order was finally token because the cashier had to count her draw while in was standing there. Thats not even safe on her behalf

2022-01-12Don’t waste your time!!!!!!! Go to wing house in the chevron wing house is cheaper and better quality! Haven’t been to this American deli since the summer and I remember why. It’s horrible and the girl who works the front doesnt wanna be there at all! Wings literally taste old like trash literally! I gave them to my dog and I’m calling my card company to get my money back. American deli this location is nasty af!

2021-11-20Absolute worst experience. It was like a scene out of a 90s movie. The cashier was too busy flirting to take orders. The grill was turned off and they were only selling wings. Only taking cards. No soap in the restroom. The lobby was dirty. Everything about this location is wrong.

2021-11-30So I decided to try this American Deli out for the first time because I usually drive all the way to Gresham. I placed the order and sat down to wait for my food and I spotted a roach. I told the cashier and he said u for real. Why would I say that if it wasn’t true. Please clean your restaurant up because if the roaches are visible then I know their in the kitchen. The cashier asked the customer to kill it and the customer put his feet on the counter and killed it. Filthy!! Never will I eat here so I asked for a refund. Watch out

2017-10-08Went down hill for a while. Seems to be better now. Now owned by the same people that own the one over on Glenwood, which has been pretty good. I spoke too soon. See attached photo. I was told if i wanted enough meat to fill the whole bun i had to pay for extra meat.

2021-08-12UNCOOKED fries, OLD soggy wings…… I WILL NEVER EAT AT ANY “American deli” EVER AGAIN. I just tried to call, it said online “not usually busy at this time” got hung up on twice…. got the “fax” line…. then my phone carrier said the line was busy and to try back later 🤔 why would any reputable business allow this - “uncooked” food. Totally not safe, and not cool.
