Apalachee RV employees are very professional and knowledgeable. We were informed on a continuous basis about all aspects of the repairs that were needed. With the amount of business that they do, I am in awe of their customer service. Elaine and Rafiki were our points of contact. Thank you for all your help. When our RV needs repairs, we will be returning customers.
Apalachee RV was great to work with on some warranty work for my new horse trailer with living quarters. Elaine wrote down all my concerns and answered all my questions. Elaine worked with the manufacturer for everything under warranty and JC walked me through all the repairs once I came back to pick up. JC also worked with me to get my radio paired to Bluetooth. They both gave me some options on additional upgrades that I requested for next time I come in. I will definitely bring my trailer back for any other repairs or for general maintenance. Elaine and JC were both a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend! Thank you!
I own a fifth wheel that was purchased a year ago and the manufacturer suspension system for the dual axle was functional but lets be honest, not the smoothest ride! I had Apalachee RV order the Morryde sre4000 suspension system and new shackles. Curt was great to work with, pricing for product and labor were very clear and sent via email for approval. I left the trailer and during the install process I had major issues in receiving slide-toppers that I had personally ordered with the intent to self-install. I called Curt and he ordered them, sent the approval for installation. Apalachee RV provided GREAT customer service from beginning to end and at the time I picked up the trailer, the staff wanted to be sure that I was satisfied with the work performed. If you need maintenance, new product install or parts, do not overlook this business!
I can not say enough great things about this company!!!! Being a newbie to this whole RV experience has taught me several things so far, one being, you can never swing too wide when pulling a 40+ footer behind you. A lesson I wished I knew sooner before snapping off a stabilizer leg. We searched for over 3 months before finding our unit only to break something the week before our very first family camping trip. After being heartbroken, I searched for someone to fix it. I read excellent reviews about Apalachee RV and gave them a call. The owner answered and I explained what happened, before long I felt as though I was speaking to a friend. Like most companies working through this pandemic, I knew I would have to wait weeks if not longer for a fix, a fix I really needed done before the following weekend to make a camping trip that was scheduled a few months prior. He asked me to email them where Elaine stepped in and saved the day. She went above and beyond to help squeeze me in and made sure to help me through the whole process. My wife and I kept our fingers crossed, praying this issue would be fixed in time to make our trip. Apalachee RV treated me like family, that means a lot this day and age, its really rare to feel that from a company, especially one Ive never used before. They fixed my problem to get us up and going the same day I dropped it off. I would also like to mention how great the customer service is here and with Grand Design. Grand Design mailed us replacement stabilizers the same week we called. Our family cant thank everyone involved enough to make our very first trip happen. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!!!!!
Had a water leak above a window in a 2015 ShadowCruise. Took it to Apalachee RV and had a wonderful experience. Our Service Advisor was Elaine and she did a great job keeping us informed with status and progress. They conducted a water leak test to ensure I had identified the location and there were no additional places. I had water damage to an interior panel and the completed work looks great. Being a little older the original panels were not available but the recommended panels are so close to matching that its not a distraction. I would NOT hesitate to go back for any repairs in the future. Highly recommend them for your repair needs.
The Apalachee RV Team is outstanding with knowledgeable Quality Customer Service beginning with the Service Manager - Rafiki, the Service Advisor - Elaine, and the Electrical Service Technician, Herb. We had a problem with our Motorhome back up camera not working along with the windows and radio. We had our motorhome worked on by another RV/Motorhome Repair dealer three times and it worked for two weeks and then stopped. We were assured by Apalachee that the problem would be fixed and we are happy to say that it has been.We highly recommend the Apalachee Team and will continue to drive the 90 miles to their RV Center to take care of all of our Motorhome service needs.Ron and Shelya T.
Top notch RV repair, service center! During COVID with all the shut downs and back up trying to get parts, Elaine, their Service Advisor, kept in constant communication with us. She was patient, kind and extremely professional. Owner Tracy was great as well. Frankly everyone we talked to or that did work on our Trailer were amazing. After getting the runaround for so many years from another RV repair place, this was so amazing. Everything was repaired better than expected and our TT was even washed! HIGHLY RECOMMEND & you’ll love Elaine!
This place is the best! We took our RV there after we had an accident for the insurance work and quickly realized that we had found a superior shop. So, we decided to have them address some other issues we had. They did an incredible job. Rafiki is an expert in electrical issues as well as slides. He fixed a series of problems that 4 other shops couldnt. The entire staff treated us like honored friends. Start to finish, we are thrilled with the results. Please give these folks your business. Cary and Curt will take care of you!
I cannot say enough good things about Apalachee RV Center. Their customer focus is impeccable and working with Elaine on some upgrades to our travel trailer was such a pleasant experience. She kept us informed each step of the way and always checked with us on pricing before beginning the work - an element of customer service seldom found these days. The turn around time for the work was phenomenal, especially considering we did not ask to have it completed by a specific date. The have established new customers for life. Thank you Elaine and ARC!
We have used Apalachee RV for more than 10 years and have been more than satisfied with their services. They have preformed quality service every time we have dealt with them. We have a 2011 gas class A and the manufacturer went out of business in 2008, but Apalachee has been able to find the parts and fix the problems. I will not hesitate to take our MH to them for service in future.
We have used Apalachee Rv Center several times now, from routine maintenance to an insurance claim. Every time the work has been stellar, pricing reasonable and turn around times are very good. We had our air conditioner break 10 days before going to Florida and they got it done for us knowing we had a time crunch. I highly recommend this RV repair center! Ask for Elaine Shelnutt - she is the service advisor I have used for years.
We have used this RV facility twice within the last year for our Winnebago Era. Last year we upgraded our motorhomes suspension and today we had a propane tank leak fixed and our awning motor replaced. The staff and technicians here are outstanding! Our service advisor Elaine Shelnutt kept us informed from day one from scheduling us in to identify the problems, ordering parts, parts arrival and scheduling us to get the repairs done. If you need a dependable, reliable, and professional RV repair facility, look no further; thanks for taking care of us and our RV! Javier & Theresa
I would recommend Apalachee RV to anyone that wants quality professional work done on their RV. My initial contact was with Kurt who put me in contact with Cary for the work I needed done. Kurt ordered a new AC unit and Satellite for the ones that I had damaged. He called me when parts arrived and got me in the next day. He was able to get the work done in three days. Great experience and highly recommended.
These guys are awesome! We spent a week in our RV with slides/jacks not working and no-one could find or fix the problem. When Apalachee heard we were using the RV for our upcoming honeymoon, they worked us into their already swamped schedule, found and fixed the problem in just 2 days. THANK YOU APALACHEE!!!! Youve won our business.
We met Apalachee RV at a local RV Show as we were researching and trying to learn about buying our first Class A motorhome. We have now used them a couple of times in the past year and have been very pleased. First instance was a recall item that they handled directly with Tiffin and the whole process was simple and hassle free to us. So when I hit a low hanging branch and cracked the large windshield, they were my choice to replace it. Elaine handled the entire process and in spite of some frustrating insurance difficulties she couldnt have been nicer in keeping us informed and doing all she could to get us fixed up quickly. Their location is not close for us but we will continue to use them and will recommend Apalachee RV and Elaine for all of our repair needs.Feb. 2021 - Apalachee RV and Elaine came through AGAIN. They were able to handle a spring issue quickly and in time to allow us to stay on schedule for an upcoming trip. Even dealt directly with the manufacturer and were able to get the repairs covered under warranty. Its so nice to work with a business that provides great customer service.
Had a major failure of towing hitch on my RV which threatened my ability to get back on the road. Talked with Elaine Shelnutt, Service Manager. Very helpful and professional. She did a great job addressing my needs and ensuring the needed work got done. My hat is off to both her and all the others at Apalachee RV, including Jeremy who diagnosed the problem and made sure I got a suitable new hitch installed. Great people to deal with.
I have used Apalachee RV to service my Winnebago RV for three years now.Elaine does a great job with the sign in process. If any questions arise she will call to make sure we are both on the same page.Cary is excellent in the body shop. He does a great job following up.I have never had a bad experience with the shop team. Always a quality job.I highly recommend Appalachee RV off of 316 for any coach service.
Elaine was absolutely the best , helping get both our warranty work and upgrades done. They were super busy, yet everyone had the best of attitudes possible. Thanks to Herb for the excellent work on the rig .We will make them an annual stop to keep our rig in top shape as we full-time forward!
Apalachee RV Center was recommended to us by Robert Henderson and he was right on all points regarding the quality, professionalism, honesty, value and punctuality. Elaine Shelnutt, Service Advisor was excellent, providing accurate quotes via email in advance of our appointment for requested service and provided updates before and during the repair process. Our Service Tech JC was extremely knowledgeable about the repairs being performed, went above and beyond to make sure our repairs were exactly what was needed and made sure it was fixed as if it was his own unit. We could not be happier or say enough about the quality, courtesy and care JC provided. JC even provided a tour of the facility and explained all of the services Apalachee RV Center offers. While we waited for the repairs, the waiting area was comfortable, waiting area and facilities were extremely well maintained and everyone treated us like we were family. Frank Martin, owner, and Tracy the General Manager are very knowledgeable and also kept us updated on our repairs, answered any of our questions even those not associated with the repairs. Even though the facility is 6 1/2 - 7 hours from our home base, we are definitely customers for life and will be using them for ALL of our RV/Motorhome needs. We cannot express how great of a crew and facility Apalachee RV Center is.
We send our fleet to Apalachee for over a year and they are always working promptly to provide us with service to get us back on the road. Elaine Shelnutt is so wonderful and keeps me constantly updated with the work being done. She reaches out to me with questions, always orders parts ahead of time and goes above and beyond to support my vehicles. Thank you to Tracy as well, as all the shop team for your continued service.
I drive over 400 miles round trip from Huntsville, Alabama, because their service is worth it. Their mechanics are top notch, and the staff are wizards working with insurance and extended warranty people. I wont trust our RV to anyone else. My worst experience there, due to the pandemic and waiting for parts, was far better than my best experience with a local RV dealer.
One of the frustrations many RV owners experience is finding a reputable, honest, and reliable RV repair facility. Apalachee RV exceeds all those criteria. Elaine, my service advisor, throughly reviewed the items needing repair and communicated with me in a timely manner about the estimated costs and options. There were no hidden fees or high pressurs sales tactics, just the facts about my repairs. Herb was the tech that worked on my RV and I felt like he worked on our RV like it was his own. When I went to pick up my RV, Herb talked with me about the repairs and gave me some pointers. Jeremy, the shop foreman, made sure all the repairs were done correctly and on time, and went out of his way to make sure we were satisfed with the work. The receptionist who answers the phone was always so friendly and helpful. I highly, highly recommend Apalachee RV - their people and their work are first class. You wont be disappointed if you take your RV there for service!
Had to have extensive electrical work done on the coach. Curt, JC and Don pulled their hair out but stayed with it until the problem was figured out and resolved. This is the second time I have had my coach in their shop and Curt always kept me up to date on progress. They even took me out to the floor and had a show and tell as to what they had going on.Will I go back? Definitely because of the professionalism and care they show for their work.
Being new to the area we were looking for a dependable shop for our Jayco TT. After trying another local shop that we were not satisfied with, we were referred to Apalachee. We were having propane issues. Of course, we were pressed for time as we had reservations at a local CG within a few days, and didnt want to chance it with propane issues. As it turned out, we had a leak at the furnace which involved removing the entire furnace assy and diagnosing/repairing. Elaine worked with us and got us in and out in time to make our reservation. She kept in constant contact with us and informed. Upon pick up and after paying, we were having issues with our hitch. The mechanics came out and helped us until we were good to go. Overall, a great experience and will definitely be back. Thanks Elaine and all the guys.
Kids Doc On Wheels has Apalachee service and repair our 2 units and always do an exceptional job. When we may have had emergency repairs to be made Elaine always works us in and gets us back on the road in short order. Elaine and Apalachee take care of our units so that we may take care of the kids. They are the best.
If you’re looking for a great place to repair or maintain your RV, Apalachee RV Center is it!The whole team there is professional, courteous and their workmanship is top notch. The quote I received for my repair was right on the money. Elaine, my service advisor, kept me up to date on their progress. They even finishedmy repair ahead of schedule. I’ll never use the large chain rv dealer again. I will only be using the professionals at Apalachee RV. Thanks for a great experience!
Have done annual service on my Tiffin since I purchased in 2018. Elaine is the best! Kept me up to date on progress. Had them take care of couple of minor issues and she kept me updated. While doing the service spied some items that could have been potentially troublesome on the road. Thanks for a job well done!
I called on Apalachee RV Center for some major repairs. They were very thorough and kept me up to date on everything, and got my approval before anything was started. The staff is amazing and very easy to work with. I received my RV back and better than ever. All repairs were done and they took the time to explain and answer all of my questions. I will most definitely be back and would highly recommend them to anyone!
Took my Class A Motorhome in based on a recommendation from another RV center. Had 2 jacks replaced and some other minor service. Worked with Elaine Shelnutt and highly recommend her. Professional, knowledgeable and consistently kept me updated with status. They worked well with the warranty company which you don’t always see occur. Now...on the road again!
Apalachee Rv is a full service repair shop they can it all and do right the first time ! They do not sell RVS they just FIX them. Elaine Shelnut is my service advisor. She kept me in loop all the way. I live 5min from an other shop but I use Apalachee They are the best.{ 2017 Thor AXIS}
I am an American working for the DoD and living overseas. I came home and purchased an older Class A Motorhome for my retirement. It was in need of many items, but I had to return to Europe. I was able to talk with Elaine and the good folks at Apalachee RV Center before departing. They told me they worked on most motorhomes from top to bottom! I was doubtful as I needed chassis work and engine work but they took it into the shop and ran many more hour of diagnostics than I was charged for. I know this based on the fact that they went through my very difficult International Diesel engine from literally the top to the bottom, and charged me much less than the International folks would have charged. Frank and crew handled the diagnosis and let me tell you all that he is the man to see if technical is what you need, and it was for me. They also diagnosed bad cooling fluid, bad coach batteries, chassis work and so on. If good, hard working and honest people are what you need when working on your expensive Motor Homes, then Apalacheeis the place for you. I retire in a few weeks now and they have been kindenough to let my RV stay on their lot without additional charge for a couple of months, and offered to deliver it back to its indoor storage facility free of charge. These guys are the greatest and theyve earned a lifetime of loyalty from this guy! With respect, Eric and Jan Birmingham
We have owned three different RVs in seven years. We found Apalachee RV Center by word of mouth and decided to give them a try to repair a couple of things on our fifth wheel. Wow! What a great experience... one that we have never had from a dealer shop. They listened to our concerns, communicated issues and resolutions, and got the job done quickly. We have no complaints and highly recommend Apalachee for your RV repairs. Their staff works as a team and provides excellence in customer service. They are now our repair source of choice going forward!
We were a first time customer at Apalachee RV and have been really impressed with the service. We especially like having an appointment time to drop off our RV so it didnt sit needlessly in their lot waiting in line to be seen (especially during the prime fall camping season :). When it came time to drop off, our issue was addressed in a timely and we were even talked out of the expensive repair we had anticipated and a much simpler solution was proposed.
I had such a great experience at Apalachee RV!!! Cary was such a tremendous help along the way. He communicated throughout the process of repairing our RV and everything was delivered as promised. I couldn’t be more pleased with the customer service and superior results. I will use this business for any future RV needs.
Visited Apalachee RV Center because my motorhome was making an unusual growling noise that I could not diagnose. Met with Service Advisor Elaine and she called in from the shop, Technician JC to discuss what I was hearing. Very much appreciated the time they both spent with me. Explained upfront what would be required to diagnose my issue and I felt very comfortable with their knowledge and professionalism. I was kept informed along the way by Elaine and even visited with JC during the process too. I knew I was in good hands. Picked up my coach today and my issue was fixed along with a couple other items they discovered during diagnostics. They even washed my coach. I would highly recommend ARC for your RV repair needs. Thank You Elaine and JC. Your both very good at what you do.
Tracy met us on a Sunday afternoon to accommodate our needs. The RV center was closed but he met us there. Tracy went over the extensive checklist that would be performed. Elaine called us back the next week and reviewed the repair findings with me. Elaine would contact me regularly to keep me informed. They even delivered my RV storage company nearby. I highly recommend this company for your RV needs. Make sure you ask for Elaine.
Recently purchased a 2004 Winnebago motor home that had a couple of factory recalls that had not been performed. With the help and personal assistance of Service Advisor Elaine H. Shelnutt all was taken care at no costs to me. Also had several other task performed . The work was done expertly. All the staff I dealt with were very professional and helpful.I will be sure to use them as needed in the future
This place has to most amazing, skilled and kind people working there. I was in the process of trying to launch across the country, new at RVing and had a used RV that needed warranty work. I had sold my house and was living in the RV for the move, so when it needed work I was really stuck! Apalachee let me camp right at their place and hurried the work along so I could get across country before winter set in. They fixed everything from a faulty toilet to a leaky roof and a lot of little stuff. I highly recommend this place if you need work done. They really know their stuff, they are honest, and they wont give you any BS.
One of the very few RV repair places I have been to that seems to have very expert repair staff that can do most jobs, well thought out service processes and solid communication with the customer. I have a Tiffin Open Road and they ided my loose pipes, fixed them and did a full review of my plumbing system. This in addition to determining my front A/C needing a new circuit board as being the cause for the heat pump and A/C not working. I have Good Sams ESP and they worked seamlessly with them. The are not the RV Sales business, just repair, another plus in my view. I would highly recommend.March 2020: Had them subsequently work on fixing a leak in my propane system, reseal some areas on the roof that needed it, replace some tile and a few other small items. Once again, did a great job and working with the Service coordinator, Elaine Shelnutt, to get the work done and to work with Good Sam ESP was seamless. She communicated with me the whole way on the progress and verified what I wanted done (and pay for) once the work was scoped. Another 5 stars.
Elaine and JC are friendly, professional, competent and go above and beyond in service. They provided expert advice and assistance resolving suspension problems in my Winnebago Navion. They performed an RPA, then expertly recommended and installed upgrades to strengthen my suspension, including shocks, Sumos and sway bar. Fantastic efficient installation. My RV drives superbly now. I MOST HIGHLY RECOMMEND Apalachee RV.
We had never used Apalachee RV before but had them on our short list because of all the great reviews. Two weeks back our transfer switch failed and being full timers, we knew we were in trouble. Not being able to get shore power in our coach, we called Apalachee RV and talked to Elaine. She held us a place even though they were very busy and worked us in. Arriving right before lunch, Jeromy diagnosed the bad transfer switch right away. Initally they thought we would have to stay overnight because they did not have the correct part. Jeromy came through with one that would work. We were thrilled and work was finished by closing time. I really appreciate the care and concern of all involved at Apalachee RV and especially Elaine and Jeromy. They are a class act and have earned my repeat business. From my veiwpoint, you cannot go wrong using these people for all your RV needs.Thank againRobert and Bessie RobersonPerry,Ga.
I brought in my fifth wheel to have a generator installed. They did an excellent job with designing and fabricating the unit for installation. I am very pleased with the work. The only downside I have is the quote doubled form the initial estimate. Again, I did get what I paid, solid work!
Everyone who we came in contact with was kind, friendly and very knowledgeable! Curt took care of making sure we were updated on all the progress and kept us informed. J.C. is a great mechanic! He does excellent work, took care of little details and also took time to explain everything! They do what they say they are going to do! We highly recommend Apalachee RV . You wont be disappointed!
I have tried 3 times to deal with Appalatchie RV with less than desired results on each occasion.Their new manager and owner are not very customer friendly and quite frankly act like they are doing you a favor to repair your busIf you do use Appalatchie you can expect to wait weeks for an appointment. Once you get one, as they did with my last visit, they kept my RV for 14 days and only repaired one of 9 items. That item was a new ceiling fan I paid for six month ago only to have it not work until this visit.Upon return of my coach I find that I have two new problems. My front ac is not working and during diagnosis they disabled my toilet.Their estimates to repair the nine items were partially uncovered by my warranty company as labor hours were almost double what the national RV repair schedule calls for. Their labor rates are the highest of any RV dealer I have visited. They have on two of my three visits lost parts that go to my bus that were not broken but simply needed to be removed to make a repair and should have been replaced. During the last visit they disabled my power cord and called to say that I have a new problem. They also left a coupler that connects from my water hose to my hose reel off.Now that it is lost I have to spend a couple hundred dollars replacing the entire hose reel. The general manager Tracy told me too bad they are not responsible. After three attempts I choose to drive four hours for my RV repairs when Appalatchie is 10 miles awayAgain I have never been to a more impersonal and COLD business for service in my 59 years.I highly recommend you exhaust all options before you resort to taking your bus to Appalatchie RV
We were in for storm damage repair. Our service rep. was Elaine. She took great care of us and kept us informed. The techs did the job right the first time. They even found and repaired an issue we did not know we had (outside light housing was melted and leaking water). Repairs were finished in the time frame promised.David & Bonnie AlleyBethlehem, GA
A new electrical problem appears just when leaving for cross country trip. These people were great. They saw us right away. They did a quick assessment with truck and vintage Scotty trailer together. Then we left and about 2 hours later they called, said we were ready. They were quick, efficient and straightforward. What a pleasure to do business with them. I recommend them as the place to go for RV and camper repairs.
We had our RV service at Apalachee early in August so they would have plenty of time to get everything done in time for our Labor Day trip. We had the oil changed, the chassis lubed, the gen set serviced, an issue with the dash A/C repaired, a problem with the propane not staying on and an issue with our Norcold refrigerator giving an LO1P code. All of the service and repairs were made in a timely manner, I picked the coach up two weeks after dropping it off. During the next couple of weeks prior to our trip I did some upgrades to all of the fire, C02 and propane sensors, evidently I blew a fuse when swapping the propane sensor out but couldn’t find any blown fuses, I was frazzled because the propane sensor fuse also killed the tank monitor panel so we couldn’t see our tank levels. Additionally, two days before leaving I fired up the refrigerator to get it cold enough for the trip, unfortunately, the LO1P code reappeared. I callled Tracy the GM at Apalachee on Thursday morning to see if they could work me in...they were waiting for me Friday morning. Tracy got his tech Jeremy working on the problems right away, they were able to locate the fuse that I looked at several times and using a continuity tester determined the fuse was bad. To the naked eye you couldn’t tell. Unfortunately, the refrigerator had thrown the code previously,Jeremy was concerned with some evidence of excessive heat showing on the insulation covering the flue, he refused to reset the relay stating since the the high temperature code occurred previously it would be a fire hazard to clear the code again.Tracy and team got us on the road, albeit without a refrigerator, but I’ll take that over the possibility of what could have happened. I can’t thank them enough for their going above and beyond to take care of a customer.
Great service, diligent service advisor (Elaine)work to assure extended warranty payment. Consistent email/phone updates(Elaine)regarding costs thereby eliminating unexpected invoice totals. And, motorhome delivered in neat & clean condition. Will be back, just wish they were not so far out.
Apalachee RV hits a homerun again. After purchasing a decade old diesel pusher a couple of years ago, I quickly determined that the national chain that sold it to me, didnt have a clue what they were doing. Apalachee has coached me though a variety of needed repairs and updates. They tell you exactly what they found, exactly what they will do and exactly what it will cost. Fortunately, I purchased an extended warranty from the national chain and Elaine, my service advisor and go-to person at Apalachee, has negotiated great settlements on every covered repair. Apalachee is not the closest or most convenient from where I live, but they are MY RV repair center and I wont be going anywhere else. Period.
1. The entire front end of my 2006 Newmar Scottsdale was destroyed in an accident (not my fault). Apalachee took the pieces (as Newmar no longer makes the front end cap of my unit) and built a new front end. The job took a little while, but well worth the wait.Apalachee did an outstanding job of keeping me informed as to what was going on with repairs and the insurance company. I received a call about one a week. They were very proactive in keeping me informed.2. My generator quit working and it took a tech about ten minutes to find the problem. I am very happy with the work done on my generator.3. My leveling jacks quit working and were stuck in the down positon. The technician was able to troubleshoot and repair the jacks in about one hour. (there was a bad ground wire. As I am an electronic technician, I know how difficult this type of fault can be to find).I hope I never need front end work done again, but If I do, I will definitly return to the outstanding workmanship and customer service of Apallachee RV
Im not a happy customer. We took our RV in for a dash AC repair. The initial agreement was for 3.8 hours of diagnostics @$145/hr. Two weeks later they needed 3 more hours of diagnostics before they could actually give me the estimate. When the estimate was actually given to us, it was for an astounding $10,500. We immediately realized these guys obviously dont do dash AC repairs efficiently. Talking to Freightliner in Gaffney, SC resulted in the guys at Freightliner informing us that the ENTIRE system could be replaced for $5,800 including labor. So Apalachee was literally twice as expensive. So we had them stop, put it back together and we took it to RV refrigeration and AC in Cumming. Apalachee charged us $2200 to diagnose the problem, replacing a couple of fuses in the process but repairing nothing. Im not convinced they know what they are doing there because combined with this problem they attempted to tell me that installing a FASS pump system would still have the OEM lift pump in the fuel distribution. When I contacted FASS about this they confirmed that their system REPLACES the OEM fuel system to include bypassing or removing the OEM lift pump. Obviously Apalachee sells these systems but Im not sure they know to properly install them.
Had a bent awaning arm replaced, switch for rear Jacks replaced and a broken room slide cable. It took about 4 - 6 weeks to get parts due to covid-19. Elanine Shelnutt was very helpful. After I picked up my 5wheel and was cleaning out the storage compartments, I noticed things missing from my storage area. I had all the storage compartments locked, but someone must have needed to borrow the sewage pump and some hand tools and forgot to return them. So please remove valuables as per the sign in the office says.Rick
This place is a gem! Elaine and JC took such good care of me and my RV. Since I am full-time in my RV, I had to stay a couple of nights to await pressure testing and parts. They were very communicative, helped me navigate my extended service contract, and went above and beyond in personally caring for me. They were especially helpful during this time...when it was difficult to find a place to go during the day due to COVID-19 closures. I would recommend this place to anyone in this area of the country.
Trust these people! I had a nagging problem with the Aquahot System in my 2012 Itasca Ellipse.... Their tech Rafiki went above the call and built a test board with lights and electronics to literally put a go pro style camera on my system to catch it failing when we couldnt get it to duplicate the nagging, annoying, continuous system failure.... Just outstanding dedication to making sure when my unit left their care, it was RIGHT.... Never have experienced this level of commitment to customer satisfaction from top management to the service tech down to my service writer Elaine keeping me posted on where we were and steps being taken to communicate with me thru the whole process..... TRUST THESE PEOPLE..... they took care of my problem, and babied my rig thru the whole process! Definitely reccommend as the best rv SERVICE center in all North Georgia!
We have serviced our 5th wheel camper several times with these folks & will continue coming back. While there are other RV shops closer to us, we travel over an hour 1 way to get our servicing done with them. We had a long list of items that needed attention before we take off traveling for the summer. Service advisor, Mick worked with us to stay close to our budget & had all the repairs done in a timely manner. Special thanks to the General Manager for keeping us happy customers!
Took my motor home in to have the automatic leveling jacks repaired. There were 2 issues with the jacks 1) they had been unplugged and the wire was laying in the battery compartment 2) there was a seized bolt on one of the jacks preventing it from operating properly. First let me say I feel like an idiot for not finding the wiring unplugged. As someone who trouble shoots problems as part of my job I feel the this problem shouldve been found rather quickly by a tech who had access to the proper tools I didnt. At the end of the day I was charged for roughly $60 of parts and supplies and about $440 for labor. Im not saying that they did anything dishonest I just feel like that is an excessive amount of time for what they claimed they did. Additionally they repeatedly told me they had to jump my batteries as they were corroded and completely dead. When I got home my batteries worked lights, fans, and slides just fine. I feel as though I was overcharged for the work that was done. I refused the work they proposed to replace my batteries which they wanted $500 dollars for. The staff was polite and everyone else has only great things to say about this place but right or wrong I will not return, and thats a shame as they are very conveniently located. With the experience I had at Apalachee and some dealerships in recent weeks I have been very soured on the RV industry as a whole and will be selling my motor home as a result.Update: Apalachee contacted me today by phone in response to my negative review. I was asked some questions about how I store the coach weather I keep it plugged in etc. I was warned about not maintaining batteries (which is a valid concern) and the possible damage that can do to the converter. None of this information was relayed to me at the time of pick up nor did anyone add water to the batteries or take steps to mitigate the corrosion on the batteries. I understand that if they batteries were in an advanced state of deterioration this might not have done anything, but for what I was charged isnt it worth a shot to keep the batteries from over heating? I commend Apalachee for following up on a bad review and I have tried to be fair in my assessment of their service. My one negative review will not and should not make or brake this company I simply wanted to share my experience. Almost everyone has great things to say about these folks I just felt as if I was charged excessively for the service I got. Apalachee may be a great RV service center but I sure as heck cant afford them! I love RVing but I hate the RV industry both sales and service. I am going to add a star to my review so its not read as a negative rating, but I still wont return.
Took RV to them because Generator was given me a code 33 High coolant temp. They did a complete coolant service. Pick up RV and still have the same code. Coolant is cool in expansion tank so it cant be a high temp. Now they are saying I have a exhaust leak. I have paid over 2k dollars and still have the same problem. Got another appointment with them tomorrow. Because tech. Said he ran AC and Generator for 5 hours and never tripped. It tripped on me in 15 minutes. Somebody is lying. We will see tomorrow. Will take to National indoor if not done right. Then file a complaint with the BBB. Will not recommend them to any of my friends. Update spoke to Terry. Was told since I declined other repairs that I would have to pay again. The way they get you is you come in for a repair. They recommend other repairs and if you decline they say the repairs you decline is what is causing the problem. But they never fix the problem that brought you to them. They also guess as to whats wrong. Not much experience working on generators. Tech. Couldnt even answer common questions. Going to take my unit somewhere else. I hope they do good with the 2k they took me for. By any cost go somewhere else.
I had several electrical problems with my Class B after an extended trip to Alaska. Electric problems can be elusive, and often one fix does not solve the problem. These folks worked and worked until they found all of the problems. I have to say, there may be cheaper places to get your RV repaired, but you probably will not find another organization with more skilled or honest employees. If they tell you a repair is needed, you can count on that being accurate and not them just trying to get more money out of their customer.
Second Visit To Apalachee RV:Auburn, Ga8/1-30/2018Ok, here I go again to the shop. This time for a long list of preventive maintenance after a lengthy trip and body work I had to do because a brick mailbox appeared in the middle of the driveway. I had called several weeks to make the appointment with not only the shop but with the body shop.I left my Eagle and let them know I needed it by 8/28. Both body shop & shop knew of this time span.During the time it was there they called every so often to keep me updated, how refreshing that was. They also returned my calls when I called....how nice!My shop list was extensive and my body damage was not a minor touch up.I had a change of schedule and could not pick up the Eagle till 8/30, they said it will be ready to go 8/28.The body work was excellent. It could not be nicer. It was blended into the old (2011) paint I could not see where the old damage was...SUPER JOB CARY....All the shop work was complete also and explained to my satisfaction...THANK YOU JOE..AND A SPECIAL THANKS TO TRACY, MANAGER, FOR TELLING ME ABOUTAPALACHEE AT PERRY, GA FMCA RALLY.
The staff did a great job finding and fixing my very complicated leak in my Airstream.Elaine keep me updated on the progressThe shop staff stuck with the job. They had to dismantle the cabinets on the front end. They finally found the very small leak using their high tech leak discovery machine.Oh and when they broke something by accident in the process they took ownership and made the repair at no charge.I’ll be backHankAthens Ga.
Just took our 5th wheel in for 9AM appointment (made 3 weeks prior) only to be politely told that our appointment was for the drop off process and no actual work would commence that day. Not even a brief look-see to determine what parts should be ordered would occur anytime that day. Im not sure what the purpose of the appointment was, a drop off appointment is new to me. The place looked clean but cant be useful to anyone trying to coordinate repairs with minimal downtime.
Overall, I was very disappointed in Apalachee RV. Apalachee was expensive, folks were not very nice, and the work was not done well, certainly not worth the money—I felt that I had been taken advantage of as a person new to RVing.(See the full review on Yelp—I cant fit my 6000 characters into Googles 4000 character limit).I went to Apalachee because a representative at a seminar was very convincing. I was new to RVing, and thus was completely reliant on Apalachees honesty and good work. When I bought my 10-year-old Monaco Safari Cheetah, which had a bit over 33,000 miles, I drove it more than 1,000 miles from Fargo, North Dakota to Atlanta. I took it right to Apalachee for the fixing of 8 items, hoping to later have them do more, depending on the cost to fix these initial items. I asked them to fix 7 items, but they didnt. The items were (1) fix loose/wandering steering, (2) fix leveling jacks, (3) fix sticking entry door, (4) fix fridge, which was not working, (5) fix storage latches, that do not stay shut, (6) check roof for leaks (what the representative at the seminar described as a pressure test to prevent the disaster of roof leakage), (7) provide estimate for washer/dryer installation (at the seminar the Apalachee representative had said this could be done).(1. Omitted—see Yelp.)2. The leveling system worked, maybe a dozen times. It does not work now, eight weeks later. $180 wasted.3. The entry door still stuck the day I picked up the RV. I got five-dollars of Loc-Tite, put one drop on the threads of the door latch, and solved the problem myself. Apalachee charged me $180, and their work did not solve the problem, even for one day. I asked for a refund, which was denied.4. Refrigerator. TOLD the fridge cannot be fixed, must be replaced, and will require removal of the windshield (one-piece Monaco). Estimate: $5993, not counting the roughly $2000 window (thus total would be about $8000!). Another RV place in Belton Texas since told me thats crazy, that the fridge parts are available, and fridge can be fixed for $2000, and without removing the windshield.5. Storage door-work. I was told I would need 3 new door latches, plus three hours of labor. Work not done, silicone fixed the stuck latches. We negotiated down the price of this because they had not installed the $300 of parts they had said were necessary, and the work took less than one hour.6. Sealtech Test, $240, for 2 hours labor. I paid for the test. The first night out, it rained, and we had Niagara Falls through our front TV, destroying it, and through our skylight in the rear. We had traveled 35.4 miles, from Apalachee RV to Commerce, GA. I had been told that the roof was tight as a drum, (exact quote), but that the roof could have all its sealants and seams removed and replaced for an additional $1200. I said that it made no sense to remove seals and sealants tested and proved tight to be replaced with something that would be untested. Because the roof leaked like a sieve the first night out, clearly not tight as a drum, and because the next morning I saw what appeared obvious water-entry points, I asked for a refund. Refund denied. I was told that because things wiggle loose, and because they had recommended a new sealing job (that I declined because they had shown it to be tight), theyd give nothing back, not even partial credit. The slide seals, by the way, were terrible, rusted/rotted at several corners, such the rain poured right in onto the floor, carpet, and floor tiles. All three of the four slide seals needed total replacement--Apalachee missed this--apparently didnt test for it. Also, two of the four slide toppers were ripped, and three of them were separated at the roof sid of the RV, such that water flowed from roof, onto slides, and onto topper inward into the RV, and onto the floor. Did Apalachee test for this as part of the sealtech test? What exactly DID Apalachee do for 2 HOURS?!(Omitted—see Yelp)
I first called and talked to MICK to determine whether Apalachee RV could do alignment on Dexter Torflex axles. He has to check, and called back to say the service manager said they could. I made an appointment for 6/27. Dropped it off in the parking lot, talked with Mick, showed him the wheel that had negative camber, and he said he could see the problem. Authorized brake and bearing service.Called on 6/29, since I hadnt heard anything. Mick was not in, but I was told they were working on the brakes and bearings. Seemed like that should be the last task, not the first, and I said so.Called back on July 1, (still no call from AR), was told it was ready. On pickup, I was told that the alignment was all within spec. This is not correct. There is no indication that camber was ever checked. Angry, I paid the bill and began hookup. While I was hooking it up, Mick and the mechanic came out. Mechanic said basically you cant align torflex axles. Blood pressure through the roof. I hooked it up and left.Next day I decided I better check lug bolt torque. I found 4 lug bolts on three wheels loose (3 of 4 were only finger tight). Now I wonder if the brake and bearing service were properly done. Bottom line? $120 per hour for shoddy and incomplete work, Im out $580, I know the alignment issue wasnt fixed, and I dont know whether the brake and bearing service was properly done. Cant give a zero, but this should be a minus 5.
I just reffered someone to Apalachee RV on a message board and realized I never gave my thanks to these great folks. I had my baseplate and lighting installed by these folks on my dingy. We live 6 months a year in Thailand and 6 in the US. We had not even picked up the RV and purchased the new dingy all online from Thailand.I contacted Apalachee from Thailand via email and told them what I needed. All handled online with great pleasure. Flew in to the US, picked up the new car, they installed everything as promised and on time.Since we hadnt bought the coach yet, the owner asked what we where purchasing. He must of spend a few hours just chatting on what I need to do, and how this works, and so forth. Very very pleased with their service!
I had a great experience. They replaced my 8 year old kingdome dish, Installed the new winegard internet booster, checked out my air conditioners and got my carpet replaced. The staff were very professional and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend them for RV repairs and upgrades..
Can’t say enough about Apalachee RV, Nikki at the front was friendly and professional, Randy was able to give expertise on some parts that I needed and Ryan was a great help when I was trying to find a window for my camper van. Just a great place to go for your RV needs.
I have resisted writing a review because it will be bad. I am a pretty forgiving person in general. Now this has broken the camels back.Nov. 2014 I spend most of last Nov in their parking lot. Dutch Star still under warranty. Had a bad a/c, they replaced that with a new one. Among many other repairs $ 5,339.53 total. Most covered by the warranty. Some I paid out of pocket. They also replaced entry door keypad 587.41.Spent several weekend in their parking lot. Left for Thanksgiving and then came back due to ordering or parts.Rafiki, (Nice kind of guy) extended my jacks and put wood under them and the foot came flying off. They said it was because I wanted to watch TV while I was parked there for the weekend in 23 degree cold weather. I told Rafiki that I was instructed by the dealer that I bought the MH from to NEVER DO THIS. They would take care of that for me but had to wait for the parts. Parts arrived but not with the foot, so they had to order again. They did everything they could for all the repairs and now it was just a matter of waiting for parts again. I decided that I could live without the jacks as I was going back to Florida for the winter and would return when I came back up to my cabin in Ga. They would have the parts and off I would go. Upon leaving, when I brought in my slide the next morning I hear a horrible noise and the motor to the slide was broken into pieces. So now they would help put the slide in and order that part. I left for Florida and came back in the spring. Again several days later Rafiki is pounding on my MH to the point that I could hear it in the waiting room. I go into the owners office and we have a nice chat and goes out and checks about the pounding on my MH. I am assured that he is doing the right thing. Newmar said that this was the first time they ever heard of the motor braking like that, so says the owner. So thats a mystery, I was shown the motor when they got it off and compared it against the other one they showed me from another brand. It was a valid comparison. Finally I can get out of there. Now I am on my way for a long trip to NS, Newfoundland and Maine. No need for a/c now. In Aug. I am now traveling back to Ga. arriving in PA. and need to use the a/c. Comes on stops working in five minutes. I still have the front one working so will wait to get back to Ga. its still under the one year warranty, parts and labor. While parked at a campground my neighbor had an a/c problem and had someone come fix his a/c. I asked him to have a look at mine as he was a Domectic certified tech. He gets up there and asked me who installed it. I told him Apalachee (Rafiki). He tells me that it was installed wrong. NO surprise to me. He couldnt repair it as I was leaving. Needless to say I wouldnt EVER consider going back to Apalachee to get anything done again. So now I am in Ga and had a local RV dealership send someone out to look and repair the a/c. He confirms to me that yes it is installed wrong. He called Domectic to verify his opinion and yes he was right and Rafiki did install it wrong. So it now cost me $ 210.00 service call and labor to remove one wire. The key pad still doesnt work.Notice that they had charged me for the broken jack. Called them and did get a credit back on my credit card. They seem to be very nice people and tell you what you want to hear. They try to do a good job its just I cant trust them again and after the repair cost to bad personnel, installation knowledge I felt I had to review them. This has been the FIRST time I have ever reviewed anyone but I felt I had to say something this time. I have been told by several other people that I know that have had the same experience with them and would never go back.I dont want to hear back from them to try and mend the fence. It wont work for me. They can live without my money and I just wish they understand that I dont want to damage them in any way but if you arent aware of what people think about your business how can you correct a problem.Linda Kendall
Apalachee technicians installed a Supersteer track bar on my new coach at the FMCA Rally in Perry, GA. Their labor was reasonable, the mechanics were curteous and helpful with my questions. I plan to make a trip to their shop to have Apalachee make additional suspension modifications.
I just looked and they took my review down ! - they did hundreds of $s work on my generator and did not fix it - they lied to me - did the same repair several times and charged me every time - finally i took it to Cummins and they fixed it immediately - replaced the spark $4.50 spark plug - dont go to Appalachee RV ever !
There are some very knowledgeable friend staff here... if you need parts they can take care of you... need service they have that covered... need questions answered they have staff willing to help and educate you on the ins and outs of your RV and RVing in general. Go check them out!!

2021-09-05I cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for this repair facility. Each and every person I had contact with was courteous and professional, never losing patience with all my questions and concerns. They worked hard with our extended warranty co for the best outcome. Needed a new engine and they nailed it! The lead Tech Frank went above and beyond to make sure all components were correct and running at optimum before we got our RV back. Thank you Tracy and staff for a job well done. Hope we never have reason to come back, but if we need a repair and are in the area….,..,,,You will certainly be our first choice.

2022-04-25I was referred by a tire place as there was a new vibration in my steering wheel. Frank spent time with me as soon as I arrived. He test drove my RV and decided there was no abnormal sounds or vibrations.... With my new tires, everything was as it should be. He then spent time talking about routine maintenance. In all he said, I felt he cared about my RV, my safety and my concerns. I am delighted to find someone so professional and knowleable. I will be coming back.

2021-10-27We had a check up done at Apalachee RV Service Center. Elaine Shellnut, as our service writer, very professional, knowledgeable and gave us full attention to our needs. We also replaced our couch with recliners and replaced our TV with a smart TV on a swing out arm. Elaine was in contact with us, following up with status of delivery etc. She also kept up with any questions that the technicians had.We would definitely recommend Apalachee RV Service for any thing that may come to with your RV.

2021-11-18Just had my first repair visit at Apalachee RV and they were AWESOME! While I worked mostly with Eileen who was fantastic, everyone else I dealt with there was great too. Communication during the repair process was frequent and clear. NEVER did I feel upsold to, rather they saved me money by recommending I not replace something that could be fixed. Chris helped me adjust my hook up to safely pull my TT with my Jeep Wrangler. Unlike other RV service centers Ive used, Apalachee made sure I understood exactly what had been done, why and I felt completely safe leaving my RV there. If your RV needs servicing? GO TO APALACHEE RV!

2022-06-07I see they had my review removed again, Ill just have to put it back up. No mincing words, these people are crooks, they lied directly to my face while standing in my RV over the actual damage they said did not exist, they lied to the insurance company, they lied to the loan company, and they threatened to shoot me while I was removing my personal belongings from my travel trailer.Sheriffs deputies had to explain to them multiple times that theres nothing they can do to stop me from removing my personal belongings from the trailer.ETA: Ah yes, slander and lies, that brings back memories of dealing with you. Remember that water damaged floor we stood on while you lied and said it was not water damaged? Yeah....

2020-09-24The folks at Appalachee RV center are all Rock Stars. Elaine Shelnutt continues to exceed expectations with keeping us informed on the status of our Coach. Both Jerremys (A/C and Shop Manager) are detailed orientated and explain the repairs and service to be performed to the T. We purchased a 21 year old coach and knew we would need some work done we couldnt do. Researched extensively and Appalachee RV Center name kept popping up with the folks we camp with. Full service shop, inside and out. We have spent some time in the shop with them due to the age of our Coach but have not been disappointed one bit. I highly recommend them and will only have them work on our coach. We know that they will diagnose and fix the problem professionally and no going back for something missed.

2021-03-04The team at Apalachee RV is very professional and does good quality work. They are all about their customers and communicate frequently while the work is being done. One note to potential new customers is they stay very busy, which is a sign of how good they are. Because of this they are not the fastest turnaround time, so not the place to go for a need it repaired for my trip this coming weekend. Call and ask for Elaine and she will point you in the right direction.

2021-02-24After a terrible experience with the RV dealer where we purchased our motor home (3 months for service, phone calls not returned, etc), we found heaven at Apalachee RV! Curt, our service advisor, is excellent. He kept us informed, gave us detailed suggestions to fix the suspension and wobble issues we were having, and we got the rig back as promised. This is our new RV Repair provider. We cant say enough about how happy we are and what a great experience this was.THANK YOU! We are Happy Campers!
