I gave One Star because I didnt eat. We got there last night around 830, and waited by the door for the host about 10 minutes. Looking around didnt see any staff, and very few patrons. Half the tables still had dirty dishes on them. I finally saw someone, waved them down, and asked were they short staffed. She said no and that everyone was in the back. I asked for a booth she said give her a second. 10 minutes later I told my wife and daughter I was going to the restroom, which was just as horrible. When I got back, I noticed no tables were cleaned and no staff on the floor. We left.... I will never go here again. If what you can see is nasty what about what you cant.
The 2 girls and guy at hostess stand were very unwelcoming and rude. Had 2 big groups of people just seated and were arguing over who was going to wait on them. I stood there listening to there convo almost 5 minutes before they asked me how many. I myself had 8 in my party and they were like its gonna be 30-45 mins because nobody wants to wait on the groups we have now. Okaaaay thanks bye!!! Ive worked in restaurants for over 15 years. Pandemic or not they would be off my schedule.
This Applebees is usually one of my favorite dinner locations but, lunch hours was horrible! The appetizer came AFTER the food, my drinks came late because the severs switched and they had to take the order twice, and worse of all, the food taste old, like it was sitting forever... I guess Ill stick to dinner.
Took 30 minutes for them to remake some cold fries they tried to serve me. Manager saying he just found out about it 5 minutes after it was re ordered 30 minutes ago. Terrible customer support!!! Be careful when eating here. The bartender Stephanie was great throughout this ordeal.
I ordered an add on of blackened shrimp I was charged an extra $6 for it and didnt have any blackened shrimp in the container.. Also I did curbside to go wgen I got there and checked in I received a text message saying they will be right out with my food and I sat there for 20 minutes and ended up having to call before they brought the food out
Place was dirty and smelled off. Windows and plastic are smudged. The table left a huge black stain on my shirt where no one is actually cleaning but just moving grime around. As for the food, had the wrong order brought out to me the first time. Got my correct order and it was like warm and not very good. I understand mistakes happen but Im not wasting money at a place that doesnt clean and cant even nuke my entree enough to pass as being freshly cooked.
We arrived and were seated and had our drink orders right away. The whole staff was doing a fabulous job at working hard to take care of everyone in an orderly fashion. Unfortunately, a very rude man came in with a large group. He very loudly announced his displeasure with the table before his party even arrived. He continued to loudly complain about everything. His party arrived and they joined in his rude behavior. These people were loud, rude, and used foul language, the staff was more than attentive and working hard, but people like that you cant ever make happy. They started taking about us, until I asked what their problem was, to which the man answered You, youre my problem. They decided to leave, and one of the women called me a B***H. I was absolutely floored that people would act like that in a public place. I must say, the Applebees staff and manager were working hard and doing their best, and they handled this situation professionally by not reacting, maintaining respect, and they did NOT deserve to be treated that way. Great food, great staff, and great service.
My rating is for the excellent customer service we received while dining at this location.We were greeted and seated in a timely manner.Whom I assume was the manager, was very attentive and intuitive to what was going on in her restaurant. Long story short, she caught my nonverbal & made things right before it became an official complaint. She asked if everything was okay, and not wanting to come off abrasive I basically said yes. But she dealt very wisely and sent ADRIAN to be our server. I LOVED that and its honestly the best thing she could have done. ADRIAN was Supreme....and very accommodating.The food was also very good and enjoyable. Well be back.
Disappointed, I had to wait at the hostess destination for 10 minutes before someone finally checked me in to a table. I then sat for 20+ minutes before any came to my table to take any type of order, drinks or food. Then the service continued to be slow with food arriving cold. Then they kept turning the music up really loud. Im not talking up just a tiny bit, Im talking dance room loud, jamming loud. It was almost as if the staff being there was an annoyance and as a customer we were a bother. The food really was not up to Applebees standards. The place also appeared unclean. Not like super dirty, but as if they just did not do a top notch job cleaning. Like, I know I have to clean so Im going to do just enough. Really no pride in their work.
This location is going to make yall look bad. We ordered iced tea. The waitress brought us unsweetened. When I tell her we want sweet tea she told me iced tea means unsweetened. Really? I put this online. Not one person agreed that it means unsweetened. The food was just okay. Other Applebees have ribs special 2/26. The wait was long. The bathrooms needed attention. Maybe its the neighborhood we were in but I definitely will not be back. We eat at Applebees at least once a week. This was not like the other places.
We stopped coming here due to horrible experiences but ADRIAN was simply amazing! He was so on POINT AND ATTENTIVE- he could use some help while bartending though. He was making drinks placing orders and going back and forth grabbing food. Thats why we gave him a nice TIP- be sure to recognize him for making Applebees the go to spot. We will definitely be back just to see him.
Service was horrible no one to greet at the door seated ourselves. Order a date night it was not blended it well at all! Full of chunks of ice. Just kept the wait was long for food even if though it was just plenty of empty booths! Well never come back here again!! Need to just close
Ate in ! Only 2nd time since this covid. The reason only giving 4 stars...they were out of broccoli, and they subbed green beans, which were almost raw, and there were a couple of dead bugs in the window at our table. The steak was very tender, cooked properly and served at a good temp. The potatoes were tasty and seasoned well. The salads were made correctly, as ordered, and was cool and crisp. The restroom was clean and stocked. Signage was present for social distancing. I would return to this location.it was much better than the last time, which was a few years ago.
We stopped here to grab a bite. Our server was nice but was high. My spouse ordered a drink but was given water instead. We ordered 2 for 26.00 and ordered the boneless wings as the appetizer, it took 20 minutes for it to come out. When it came out, we had no silverware and after waiting for 5 minutes for our server to bring us the silverware, we just ended up leaving. The lights were dim but otherwise the seats were torn and it just looked dirty. No thanks, we just went elsewhere for dinner
Servers were good...Alcoholic beverages are a complete rip off...even says on the menu..May contain alcohol..in other words they dont put alcohol in their alcoholic beverages..that way you ask for a shot and they charge you 10$ ...for the alcohol that should have already been in the drink..but wasnt.The only.reason there is a 3 is because the servers were nice and prompt...took very good care of us..Food is ok..Not worth the money though..It will be awile before I go back..if I go back at all..
My burger was made incorrectly. Went back to the restaurant. The manager in a white t shirt finally addressed me because non of the workers acknowledged me. I told him the problem. He said he would go make my burger himself. I waited over 30 minutes for him. I had to ask someone to check on my order. I finally get the order with no fork, ketchup or napkins. No one would help me because they were either off the clock or preparing to leave. The manager tells me he is going to get my free dessert. He did not return. I waited for him about 20 more minutes. I asked the worker to check on it. She brought it right out. The dessert was cold and was supposed to be warm. I do not plan on going back. #horribleservice
We all had a chicken or shrimp pasta dish. It was the best Ive had in years at ANY Applebees. Great service and great food, It really was good to be welcomed back to the neighborhood. Great service from the staff and manager as there was an issue with my gift card, which was rectified.
Honestly, I cant believe this restaurant is still open. There hasnt been any draft beer for the past 2 or 3 weeks, and it is very clear by the leaning around and lack of energy or concern for the patrons that neither the management nor the staff cares at all about what kind of experience their guests have. The food wasnt terrible, which is why Im giving 2 stars, but the experience itself continuously leaves something to be desired.
They can not get an order right for love nor money! You pay good money to get your food and it is ALWAYS WRONG! Do not even try to get a Manager because it will not happen! I think they hide because they know the staff can not get anything right so they will not answer the phone!!! It is a shame that you can order from any of the Restaurants in Covington and get a correct order, but not at Applebees! HOWEVER, they LOVE to take your MONEY! IT IS PATHETIC! WHY ARE THEY EVEN OPEN?
Had to give 1 star to review. With kids we havent wanted to sit in a restaurant and eat so we decided to curbside to go here. Horrible mistake the 1st picture is what I got and the 2nd picture is what I ordered and thought I was getting. Didnt even get the pico or salsa. My husband wanted no onions only mushrooms on his order well guess what they put onions no mushrooms. My husband was sorry for not checking before coming home, but he shouldnt have had to as it shouldve been done right. Will never eat anything from here again.
I waited about 15 mins to be seated in a partially empty restaurant due to staffing shortage. Then I ordered a kids meal pizza and and a fish a chips. The pizza and fish were both burnt. I would have requested the meal be redone, but my waitress left me waiting over 15 mins so I sent the food back. I should have gone to McDonalds.
I almost drove right by! Why? Bc at 8 pm it was dark and both signs out front were NOT turned on??I go to the bar and order my usual Applebees go to drink, a Grateful Dead. Bartender didnt know how to make it. In fact, it took a while to be greeted as well. I had asked to speak to the manager. No one came over. So I decided to take my business elsewhere.Right next door was a well lit Longhorns that was quite busy! Probably bc ppl could SEE it!!Btw, as I exited, the signs were turned on. Very poor customer service experience overall and VERY disappointing.
I visited this restaurant during 4th of July. I expected it to be busy but the customer service was unbelievable. We stood there and waited for at least 10 minutes without any acknowledgement. A couple walked in front of us an took a seat at the bar. I went to the bar and was advised there was only one server and they were shot on help. Other patrons were also waiting and they waited in long with us. After another 15 minutes some came up and said it would be 40 minutes before we would be helped.If someone acknowledged patrons presence and advised us of the long wait customers would not felt disappointed with their customer service.
Horrible. We arrived at 7:30. There was only 1 table with people at it in the whole place. Took 10 minutes for a server to come to the table. There are about 5 staff members just standing around talking and laughing. At 7:45 they started turning away people who came to eat because they are “short staffed” I am literally looking at 5 employees doing absolutely nothing. UPDATE: they just told another party that came in they are closing early because they are “over staffed” and don’t have enough customers. WHAT A JOKE. They have turned away 6 groups of people. This place is horrible. On top of that, there is no lock on the door of the handicap stall in the men’s bathroom. And no paper towels in the bathroom.
Not sure what the problem was today or if this is the norm now. Food took an hour to arrive for a quesadilla and clubhouse griil. Tables partially filled Waitress brought my wifes meal and 20 min later brought mine.Was never offered refill of drink No manager in sight.. Packed it up to go and left.Avoid this place for now!
The worst customer, super slow, rude etc! My family was seated for 45 minutes and no one and I mean absolutely NO ONE came to take our order or even gave us drinks!! It wasn’t even crowded it was pitiful! You can hear the cooks arguing with the other staff members, it was horrible. I tried to call and make a complaint, a young lady answered and denied me to speak to a manager and asked “so, what do you want me to do about it”. Never ever everrrrrrrrr again!
Placed an order online for 6. We all got cheesburgers. Pick up the food, go back to work, start handing out the food. We come up short on a bacon cheesburger. So, I immediately call the store to speak with the manager. I have been trying to get someone to answer the phone here for OVER an HOUR. Mind you Im at work & my lunch break is over. Im still trying to get someone to answer the phone to make this right. While everyone else is eating, one of the hamburgers still has the paper (that separates frozen patties) on the cooked patty! This place has just gone down hill completely, Im surprised they are still in business.
There’s something stinking behind the bar. They need to do a deep cleaning ASAP. It smells sour and like dirty drain water. Need to have a plumber or something rinse out the drains under the bar. It smells like a restroom. I noticed the smell months ago, came back and still smell it now. Very unpleasant.
Boyfriend, me, and our 1 year old came here Saturday for my 21st birthday dinner. The food wasn’t bad, however, the portions were kid sized when the menu said “full size entrees”. We ordered the French onion soup and the waitress told us it was frozen so they were microwaving it, you should never tell a customer that. The drink I ordered had way too much alcohol in it for what it was. When we originally got there we were seated by what I assume wa s the manager but nobody came to wait on us for a while. I ordered the cheesy broccoli side and the broccoli was hard with cold shredded cheese so I asked for soft broccoli with melted cheese, she microwaved the same broccoli and brought it back to us thinking we wouldn’t notice. Customer treatment is 1 out of 5. I only gave 2 stars because the food wasn’t terrible
Bad service, got to our table, it wasnt clean, and it was very sticky. Never got any napkins or silverware with our food, had to ask for them. Server was very rude, messed up multiple times. We got a to go order , very simple, a chicken salad as gave us steak. The server ignored us multiple times.
Placed order on-line, saw what time the food would be ready and arrived at the curbside to go parking a few minutes early. About 10 minutes or so after my pickup time I called to ask about my order I was told it would be out soon. (Good Food should be hot.) NOT, 12 minute drive home the food was not even warm and the way the food had been dumped in the to go plate it looked like it was tossed around. Gave two stars because the parking lot was clean and the employee that brought the food out was polite. I just should have stck my finger in the box before I left,just sad for the price I expected. better.
Came over to this one in Covington because the one in Conyers had horrible service. Well, it just must be Applebee’s because we waited for someone to acknowledge us as paying customers, nope didn’t happen! Out the door and across the parking lot to Longhorn where we were greeted and seated with a quickness. I hope Applebee’s goes under. Have a nice day.
The Servers were pretty decent and nice. Ladies up front well...that’s a different story. The food ehh let’s just say I had a hefty to go box. I get the concept but I would have to take their food home and spice it up a bit. Over all the food was bland.Riblets.... Alfredo bowl... fries... etc. idk just not a place I will visit again. No I take that back... I will visit one more time and see if they progressed. If they have not... Then that would be my last time going.I’ll give them a second chance. But if you eat here... honestly don’t expect much of nothing.
Went there last night for dessert and my bf felt ill the rest of the day. When night came he had diarrhea for two hours; later we went to sleep and at 2 am he rolled over and projectile vomited everywhere for hours!! It was everywhere and smelled disgusting. When he finally caught his breath he took a shower and the rest of the night he said he was freezing and had a super high fever.! I was so worried I thought he would fall into a coma from how sick he was it looked like a laxative overdose (which he doesnt take) DO NOT EAT HERE!!
I don’t know who the night cook is be they are horrible. I thought one night it was just a fluke but it has been horrible 3 times in a row. Chicken breast always burnt and dry. If you mess up chicken breast you just can’t cook. They do not care about the To go orders at all. Custer service is horrible. Said part they only restaurant open late in Covington.
Waited probably 10 minutes to be seated at 9pm on a friday night, they weren’t very busy.. food wasn’t amazing, portions were small. however, the strawberry lemonade is AMAZING!! and our server Makayla was amazing!! hope someone is reading this so they can give her the recognition she deserves!! thank you Makayla!!
We waited 30 min for our apetizer and an hour in total for our food which was ridiculous due to no one really being in there and our waitress didnt really check on us until she brought our food which she even said finally right, besides that the food was good but not worth that long of a wait
Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience. I ordered 4 bacon hamburgers with one done medium well, and the others done well. I got home ate the burger and within 45 mins, I got so sick that I actually lost my food...it was horrible...I was sweating like crazy.I couldnt eat much for the next half day. I dont know what was going on...the servers were good in regards to how they greeted and treated me but the food just didnt work out.I told everyone else to put their food in the microwave; maybe it was underdone. They were somewhat hesitant to eat it after seeing what happened to me.
Waiting area was extremely crowded but half the tables / booths were empty. Took someone from the kitchen to get people seated. Was still over 20 minutes.Wife ordered a drink from the bar to come with her food. Didnt get drink until 10 minutes after food arrived. Server was a ghost. Saw only once between taking order and getting bill. Food was excellent. Everything else was lacking
Greeted in 10 minutes by a greeter who carries themselves like they really were doing us a favor by coming to work today. Got our drinks roughly 15 minutes after being sat from a server who wasn’t even wearing a face mask (it was on his chin the entire dinner service). I haven’t eaten here in years and can honestly say that I won’t be coming back here again. The service is absolutely atrocious.
Completed an online order for pickup. When got home both meals had our chicken cold and raw in the middle! Called at 12:25am to tell them I was on the way back to get new order, the manager William said the kitchen was closed although the hours posted online say closed at 1:00am. He said yea well our kitchen is closed. He said comeback the next day to get meals replaced. First of all, if they could not properly cook our chicken, I don’t want or trust them to cook me another meal. So I asked for money back and they said they couldn’t because I paid online. Just don’t waste your time. Terrible quality, taste, and customer service
My meal at this Covington Applebees was delicious and cooked perfectly...not always the case where salmon and broccoli are involved! My server was the BEST! At other locations I have often had to wait an eternity to be seated, then forever for wait staff, then they were not at all attentive, then the bill was incorrect or the equipment would not take my card or days later I would find they took more than what was billed. No such problems here. Made my day!
Never really had a good visit here. Currently waiting an estimated 30min. Restaurant is a third empty. Why are we waiting? Its Saturday night lest get things moving! I guess they never read their reviews either, so I doubt they will improve. I recently tried to go back 5/28/21 and they did not take call ahead seating. We showed up and it was a 1-1/2 hr wait. We left.
Never..Again..Told 20 minute wait for a table. Was more like 45. At the table for another 20 before drink order was taken, another 15 minutes before we got said order. 15 minute wait for food order to be taken. Couldnt even place the entire order because she walked away. Didnt get my fries until Id eaten everything else. Drink refill (mango tea) sat at the end of the bar for 15 minutes and got super watered down. 70 bucks later for myself, my sister and my niece, and the only time we didnt have to wait was the waitress bringing us our change. She will be waiting a long time for my return. Maybe if she didnt lean on the table and call me love (respect for elders), she might be able to do her job better.
Worst Applebee’s ever. I’ve been here several times and everytime the service is terrible and the food is mediocre at best. My family really enjoys eating at Applebee’s and even though it’s out of our way from now on we will go to Loganville or Monroe. Covington Applebee’s is absolutely garbage. There’s a reason that it’s never crowded!
The service sucked. Our table was dirty after we watched the hostess clean ot off. It took forever for our waiter to re clean our table at which point she took our plastic ware so when out food finally did come we had to wait forever for more plastic ware. The food was cold....
The worst restaurant ever!! We waited for the hostess to show up and then she finally sat us. We waited about 20 minutes and then walked out!! Not busy at all and several waiters just standing around talking. We hadnt eaten here in a while because of terrible service and thought we would try it again, but nothing has changed. Why this place is still open is beyond me
Seem to be back on track..... after a downward spiral. I dont know if they are under new management or what, but Im happy for the change. When you go into a restaurant and pay money to eat, you expect the food to be prepared and brought out in a reasonable amount of time. We had our Food within 10-15 minutes of being seated, I was shocked. Grateful for our very attentive waitress as well, he was attentive and on point. Serving at least 4 other tables besides ours, but he was handling them with ease. Very pleasant experience tonight.
Well you had to choose a star, to write a review so thats the only reason they got One! Service sucked from the minute we sat down. I asked the hostess to see the manager she was I have to say very pleasant. I spoke with the manager and let him know what had went on with our server and that we wanted another server . He apologized an said he would assure we were taken care of . Another lady came and she was very polite and attentive. The Salad I had was wilting and the croutons stale. The grilled chicken was very dry. We ordered the 2 appetizers and the chips were over cooked. The spinach dip was 👌. After the manager came over things were better and he did give us a good discount. He was kind and apologized to us. If I was the manager here there would be One waitress without a job tonight. I over heard her telling the bartender that if they did not like it ( her attitude) then they could send her home, which is exactly what I would have done. I dont believe I will go to another place like this without checking the reviews first. Sorry Applebees but it is what it is.....
Absolutely worst service Ive ever experienced in a steakhouse style restaurant. The server, Ebony T, was slow to take our order, but I forgave this when she helped us select menu options for my wife and daughter. Then when our appetizers started coming out randomly, my wife never got her house salad. They brought the entrees (my daughter did not receive a bread stick she asked for, my wifes steak was undercooked, and my burger was burned), and by this point, everyones drink was empty, an hour had passed, and Ebony T was nowhere to be seen. I flagged down another waitress, Coco, who was super helpful and got my wifes salad and refilled all of our drinks in less than five minutes. We also asked to speak with the manager. She told us he was behind the line but would be sure to come out and see us. We waited another hour. No manager. Frustrated, ignored, and needing to get my daughter to bed because of the time, we paid our ticket and left. Ignored by Ebony T, and ignored by the manager. If it wasnt for Coco, our dining experience would have been lower than abysmal.
Restaurant has a bad smell/odor probably because there is food and other disgusting stuff on the walls. Some of the utensils were dirty with leftover food debris on them. There was only one waitress actually working therefore service was extremely slow. Also noticed the waitress holding another customers drink by the top of the cup! This place is VERY UNSANITARY!! Will not be going back!!!
Awful place. My wife got her food, we then waited 20 minutes for mine. I told them just to take it off of the check. The GM/MOD had to take it off of the check so, he knew about it and never came to the table to apologise or explain what happened. This place has some good employees but is poorly managed. I have been in F&B for 20+years and I told my wife this place had a management problem as soon as we walked in the door. I watched multiple couples come in, stand at the hostess station and then walk out because no one spoke to them. I still never got my food.
I got the all you can eat ribs, the first plate to come out were cold, the plate was warmer than the ribs. My wife ordered a salad. It was hot. This is the first time we have been back in over a year do too bad service and food, I guess itll be another year or so before we come back. The only saving grace was our server she was attentive and pleasant.
Had to wait 40 min to have a seat and I was with my elderly grandmother and two small kids and there were several empty tables with silverware on them that the wait staff did not sit anyone at. Then all we ordered was two endless chicken fingers and I had the chicken with potatoes and shrimp. It took another 40 min for our food to come out. Everyone else got there food but me. Once my food came out the potatoes were ice cold, sent that back. Next time the shrimp was cold. Ask for the manager and when he came out he had a cup of shrimp in his hand and said that he was also the cook and did not know how my food could loose temperature that fast from the kitchen to my table. And meanwhile my food was brought out in a to go box because It took so long. No one offered me any type of discount or apology. Not wanting to cause any confusion in front of my kids or grandmother, I paid our 60.00 bill and left. But I would not recommend this location to my enemy and I will never go back.
I almost didnt come here after the reviews I read but I decided to give it shot anyway. I ordered to go. The gal on the phone was very nice and took my order without difficulty. My food was ready in the 15 min they said it would be ready in. Upon pick up, the bartender was polite and friendly, the gal who brought my order out was friendly and it seemed like a pleasant atmosphere. The food is good as well! So, whatever happened between now and the last review.. keep it up! Id come back for sure.
I really wish I could give this place a better review, because our server was very nice, attentive and professional. The food however, was terrible. My salad was not fresh, there were slimy black leaves in the mix. I ordered the bourbon street chicken. While this dish does use a good deal of oil usually, the potatoes and chicken and shrimp were swimming in SO much oil/grease it was difficult to taste any other flavors. I ordered the brownies for desert, and they were the better part of the meal.
Been multiple times, each visit worse than the last I am positively done giving this place a chance to redeem themselves. Recently, was told they have to clean a table, many open already clean but alright, that took at least 20 minutes. Sit down wait ten minutes finally get our drink order taken and judging by the slowness we go ahead and order food. 20 minutes go by with no drinks. Had to go to the bar and get our own beer then still kept waiting to get mine and the childrens drinks. When approached the staff wanted to be rude when we offered to pay. Needless to say we just left and will NOT be returning. Judging by everyone elses feelings idk how this place stays in business because obviously the managers owners staff and everyone in between does not care about their customers in the slightest. Oh and by the way, the zaxbys next door that we had to eat at after this horrid Incident was wonderful! My kids finally at LEAST got a drink. Good luck but Id stay away! Or make the trip to Conyers.
Poor Customer Service, After waiting a long time after we ordered when our food was finally brought out it was cold. I told the waitress she took back to kitchen another sever came and asked would you like it reheated or made over? So I asked for a manager we explained to her and she didnt apologize or nothing she said let me check on it and she went and brought out more food our original server came never said a word gave ticket we wasnt rude with any staff but after waiting 1hr and 45min was ridiculous when they wasnt busy...my suggestion is go to another location until either manager and staff gets more training.
Worst service ever. Will never go back. We got seated right away. Waitresses kept walking by us like we were invisible. After 15 minutes I stopped one and said we were ready to order they said they would find our waitress after another 15 minutes we pressed the button on the screen to call our sever and still no one showed. The worse part the place wasnt even packed. We just decided to leave. On the way out I stopped one of the Waitresses and ask to speak to a manager and the waitress asked what the problem was I told her and she told me the manager was to busy to speak to us and I said we were leaving and she said okay. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I called Applebees corporate they stated they would notify owner immediately and they said someone from the franchise would be in contact. Still waiting for the concerned franchise owner to call. I wont hold my breath.
It was not good at all my husbands steak was supposed to be medium well and it came back medium rare with cold baked potatoes both of ours were cold it wouldnt even melt the butter, they took his steak back and our potatos and when they brought it back it was not even recooked it was as though they did nothing to the steals and the potatoes were warm, they took off for his steak I went ahead and ate mine it was done but warm, I ate it anyway Ive been waiting All day for our date night and it was a flop, we wont be back. Our waitress was pleasant but we never got a refill on our tea, the table across from us got refills the ones behind us got refills but we did not. Didnt enjoy at All
The food seemed cooked and was not just thrown on the table like they do in my home country. Wait was only 55 minutes and I only had to stand for half of that. Plenty of privacy provided by the wait staff. Was pleased not to be slapped around by the management for asking for clean silverware. I’ll be going back soon hungry for more.
Applebees is not as good as it use to be unfortunately.my steak was tough as nails , my husband got a plate he didnt order & had to send back & if you have to sit & stare at your food without silverware ...it wasnt good & I was very disappointed ..as we were leaving I told my husband this is our last visit for a while ...& a employee getting in his car heard me & said come back for lunch when Im working ...not anytime soon sorry ..we use to eat here regular ....
Arrived around 6:30 on A Saturday.. Hardly anyone in the parking lot(should have been a clue). Walked in and sat right down. We sat for 15 minutes with no waiter or staff acknowledgment. We got up and headed out the door. As we were leaving the hostess said... What nobody came to your table. Obviously, thats a common problem. This is not the first time this has happen to us. We wont be back to this location ever again!!! Worst Applebees ever!!!!
We arrived and ordered food. Watched others ordered and not get their food for over 1 1/2 hours. Man with baby ordered food. After 1 hour he packed up baby and left . He never got his food. It took us 45 minutes to get our bill. We were at Applebee s for over 2 hours. As we left booths were full with many waiting on their food. Major problems not enough servers and staff to cook. Will not eat in this local restaurant again.
The food is ok..the place is somewhat clean but good luck with getting service here..and good luck catching them open on the inside and good luck on getting them on the phone...if you order a carry out CHECK it b4 you leave cause chances are its very wrong..the servers will pass you buy and you will wait at least 20 to 30 min to get one to take your order..i want go back...
The restaurant was very hot. Asked them to turn air on. Other customers felt the same.I had to track waiters down for a refill on tea after we had been there for 30 minutes and. I sign of her.Then the Alfredo was very soupy.Waitress never came again to see us until we were walking out.
The service was horrible and the food was mediocre. We waited 5 minutes for a table. There were hardly any people in the place (Wednesday night). Waited about 20 minutes for our appetizer. We got spinach and artichoke dip. It wasnt even hot so I sent it back. We ended up getting our food and still no appetizer. I told the waitress I didnt want it anymore. My dad asked for his steak medium and it was cooked the same as my sisters which was supposed to be medium well. He also did not recieve a steak knife. My mom got her food about 10 minutes after everyone else. This is just not good business.Lets just say I will not be returning to this establishment anytime soon.
Ordered food through curb side to go. Food was fresh and everything was tasty. Got home to find they had given me a regular order of boneless wings instead of the platter. I called and they couldnt find my order. Seems as if their system needs updated. If order had been right the first time I would have given 5 stars. Everything else was perfect.
7/18/16 Went to the Covington location on 278, the service was horrible. Was seated promptly but waited 12 minutes for the server. There was no silverware on the table at the time of seating and many servers past to and fro not even a smile on their faces. The server finally came and took our beverage and appetizer order which took 18 minutes for the drinks and 27 minutes for the appetizers be served and still no silverware. Got the wrong drink for one of my kids. Asked for silverware which took another 4 minutes, appetizer was getting cold. Dinner was severed 20 minutes later. Server finally apologized after we began to complain, she was not pleased but kept her calm but kept rolling her eyes. We asked for to go boxes as our appetite was GONE. Terrible place to go if you are hungry but good enough to hide from the heat in summer.
We order our steak middle and it came to the table rare, orderee garlic mashed potatoes as side and after waiting for food about 20 mins we were told they were out of potatoes. Steak came back to the table one was twice the size of the other and had been cut during cooking. Asked to speak with the manager and was told he was cooking and couldnt come out.
HORRIBLE Service!!!!!!! Ordered a Steak, baked potato, and a side salad. The Server did NOT write down my order. The restaurant was out of the steak I wanted, so I had to order a different steak. They were also out of baked potatos!!! I NEVER received my side salad (and I was not charged for it either). It took 45 minutes to get my food. The food was good, once it finally arrived. And when I had to order something to replace the baked potato (that they were out of) I chose French Fries. The French Fries did come out promptly and were piping hot. I will not be returning to this Applebees anytime soon. There are terrific alternatives in the immediate vicinity.
Friends steak was more rare than medium. Fully loaded baked potato was barely loaded. I was supposed to get fries as a side, which never came, even after reminding waitress. Did not get extra napkins. Waitress rushed by asking if all was OK before we could even reply. 5+ yrs ago this was a great place, now every time we go we end up being disappointed.
Staying in hotel and wanting a good place to eat. Applebees didnt have a good rating but it was all we could get into. Still had to wait but it was wonderful food. The hostess was so sweet and so helpful. Kaleigha was her name and she went out of her job title to help getting condiments the server forgot. She deserves a raise. Great place but drinks were very overpriced.
Melissa F. was the worst waitress I have had the displeasure of ever interacting with. You made a horrible mistake hiring her. 45 minutes for a sweet tea, an hour and fifteen minutes for an entree, and arguing that we didnt order said food.....we will not visit again, just because of this employee.
When we arrived they weren’t busy, no one offered to seat us. No signs posted to wait or to seat yourself. We finally just went to a table. Waitress came and took our order, salads came right out. Downhill from there, waitress came to the table 3 times over the next 45 minutes and said that the food would be right out, be right back with a refill on the drinks. Never got a refill until the food finally arrived, one entree was cold, probably from setting ready to go for 45 minutes while they got to the other entree. We did ask to see the manager, he did shave the bill in half and got us a refill on the drinks. Will NEVER to to Applebee’s again!
If I could give this place a ZERO I would. We are currently sitting in the restaurant where we have been seated now for 1.5 hours it’s 9:31 we were seated at 8:00. It took the first hour before our appetizers came out. 2 out of the 4 of our meals still haven’t come out in full. The only reason we didn’t walk out is because it was one party member birthday. Worst place ever.
Rules and regulations for covid19 adhered to. Server was very professional, masked, attentive, courteous , well dressed and polite. Social distancing was active in establishment. Restaurant smelled clean and fresh-not stale. Food was at great temperature, appealing, and tasted great!!
We left the conyers location after waiting almost 20 minutes for the waitress to bring us our drinks. We watched her in the corner laughing and playing around. We decided to give the Covington location a try, and service was AMAZING! The entire staff was super friendly and made sure our experience was a great one. Our waitress name was jasmine and she was a fantastic server. Very friendly.
Food was good. Did the two for 20$ but the waitress didnt say that the app that we order didnt go with, so went through this whole spill about how much it was and she got an attitude before the manager came over to us. He was nice about the whole thing and worked with me. We were just trying to leave the waitress a tip, because I only had enough money for the food and her tip and she got an attitude about it. Got everything worked out and ended up still leaving her 5$. I understand the job gets frustrating but at least explain when someone says Im doing the two for 20 and then goes into the apps let them know its not just any one.
Horrible service. Was there on a Friday night. Sat at the bar for 5minutes without any acknowledgement. Looked in the back were the office was and seen 3 people laughing and hanging out. I waved my hands and one girl just blatantly ignored and continued not taking care of guest. If there was a manager on duty was not much of one letting this just happen. They can take notes from the Snellville store, great team there!
It was okay the service was slow , and the food was ... meh . It looked great but the draw back was that it had no flavor , like the chef had no seasoning or just didnt put it on the food . It was just ... bland . I was with a lot of older people and they said theres was great and flavorful , either the chef hates kids or just didnt like me or old people have no taste buds
This was a terrible experience, waited 2 hours for our food, another 40 mins for our ticket. We spoke to the manager and she said she could not do anything for us in our awful time there. NEVER AGAIN. There should be a caution sign on the door. The interior was a mess. All the employees stayed in the kitchen to avoid customers. Im disgusted.
Dont waste your time or money eating here. The service is absolutely horrible!!!! Our waitress had a complete attitude problem!! She didnt offer us silverware or extra napkins with our food. Didnt check on us, didnt offer refills for our drinks and made herself scarce. I had to go to the bar and ask for silverware and napkins. The food was awful and extremely salty and it took forever to even get it. When our waitress finally came back she only asked if we were ready for the check. When she dropped the check off she said, heres the ransom. The place was dirty in most areas and other customers were complaining about it. It was a horrible experience and I will never visit this Applebees again. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
Was seated pretty quickly. Waited a moment for drink order to taken and food order to be taken. No big deal. Food comes quick. Food is on almost on point. I ordered a salad with no tomatoes. Guess what I had to pick off?! Tomatoes. Then had to wait 15mins to get a refill on a drink.....
I went here for a birthday party for a family member. We had to wait over an hour to be seated in an almost empty restaurant and they only had water and alcohol for drinks. They tried to cram a party of 12 in a corner booth because they didnt want to move the tables. We had to wait over an hour for food because they said they prepared the other guests orders before they started ours, even then some of the orders were wrong or missing. I will not go back again and I wouldnt have been there this time if it wasnt for it being my family members choice.
Terrible just terrible! We had a party of ten and were told 25 minutes to be seated. Meanwhile the entire right side of the restaurant was full of dishes and NO one was bussing tables. 25 minutes went bye and we still werent seated and ALL those tables were still full of dishes. Worst experience in years! We left and went to Stalveys and were seated in 5 minutes
Food was cold when served. Chicken and shrimp was not sizzling but cold as well as the mash pitatoes.Order appetizers first they came after the food. Order mild wings, manager tried to tell me that all wings are hot with heat. Even though, I eat these all the time at many Applebees stores. I will not visit this store again.
The worst Applebees I have ever been to!!!! Our food came out in odd intervals, I didnt receive any salad till after everyone at the table was done eating. My daughter never received her breadstick with her meal, we never received refills from our waitress, only from someone we flagged down...My shrimp were burnt and my daughters chicken was dry.. We asked to see the manager who never even came to see us! I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS APPLEBEES LOCATION AGAIN! I hope everyone else avoids it as well!
The past handful of times my family and myself have been here its been a nightmare. Seated 4, 3 almost done with their meal before the 4th came out. On top of waiting 20 plus minutes on our appetizers. Either they need new management or just close the doors. The severs dont work as a team either. Ive been disappointed to a point where I will NOT ever come back in to this location.
HORRIBLE Customer Service - I will NEVER go back!A birthday dinner brought me to this restaurant along with a group of (7) friends. The restaurant was half-empty (a Wednesday night @8PM), so we figured we would probably get seated fast (it took FOREVER). After waiting (20) minutes watching restaurant staff LARKING and LAUGHING around the bar, a hostess comes over and attempted to seat us in the worst area (next to the restroom) but we REFUSED. There were PLENTY of other existing tables. We waited an additional (15) minutes and was finally seated. Waitress then takes (10) minutes to come to the table makes no eye contact and has an attitude. The waitress treated us like a bother, rather than guests. (A total lack of sincere greeting). At this time, we immediately left the restaurant and walked NEXT DOOR to LongHorn Steakhouse. At LongHorns the staff treated us as high valued customers and we enjoyed the service and food. I will NEVER go back to Applebees Covington, GA.
HORRIBLE! The food wasnt even cooked thoroughly and the waitress acted like we owed her something she was too worried about socializing with coworkers than to do her job. When asked if we could speak to the manager is was a big deal and he only took $5 off our meal. Wont be going back!! Wasted our time and money!
They show favortisim to certain customers. The steak was like a rock and the portions are small. Service is really bad trying to get refills on drinks. Some of the customers are so bad they harrass seniors and the staff thinks it is a joke. I will never come back, or any of my family members or friends or coworkers, strike 4 your out..I dont pay and beg for service..
Terrible.. The waitress kept forgetting what we ordered charged us for an appetizer they mever brought. And every 10 mins or so shed walk by and ask you ok we say no were waiting on etc. She said she would take care of it but low and behold 10 more mins would go by and all she came by with is are you ok...Food came out like it had been sitting for a while. If I could give 0 stars I would.
Absolutely worst service ever! Our food took nearly an hour to come out, all of this while I was on my 1-hr. lunch break. When our food finally came out I had to get a to-go box because I had no time to eat. The whole time we were there our server was sitting at the bar with her back towards us giving herself good reviews. We are definitely not going to be back!
We actually stopped coming to this Applebees because the service was so bad and the food was mediocre at best, however tonight was a very different experience. Our servers name was Nia and she was amazing! She said shed only been there a month but she definitely has the skills to do a great job! She was attentive, suggestively sold items, pre bussing and refills were on point! She is the reason that we will now be back.
Wish i could review and give 0 stars. Server was rushed. Half way into ordering appetizers she was running off, started there with food not being right. Ordered 12oz wood fire steak medium rare, was 2 6oz steaks and cooked medium well and dry with no flavor. 4 cheese Mac n cheese was watered noodles. Only flavor was when I added sour cream to my whole plate. Guess you have to pay to refill ice in Iced Tea and Water too. This place used to be awesome, guess I will have to find somewhere else.
Terrible service. Spent over 2 hours at this restaurant for the all you can eat deal but only got 2 rounds of food. Took a very long time to prepare food. The restaurant staff claims the cooks are struggling to keep up. Our server looked like she was on drugs. Not happy at all probably will never go back to this applebees
We were seated for over an hour, when I asked to speak with a manager, because our food hadnt arrived yet. He kindly apologized and offered to comp the meal for all 8 of us. We asked if we could get the meal to go since it had been so long, but even he couldnt tell us when the food would arrive.We left and I contacted the corporate office the following day, but could only leave a voicemail. Three weeks later I finally spoke with the area manager and he sent me $25 in certificates to cover the meal for 8 people, along with our inconvenience. Had we stayed for the original meal, the bill would have been $80 +, so $25 to me was an insult.
My dining experience was great, my server Amelia was sweet and very attentive! They have finally added some green vegetables to the menu but still need more. The Butter Pecan Blondie is delicious and the only desert without chocolate! Can I get more deserts without chocolate? To recap - Amelia, Green Vegetables, and Butter Pecan Blondie! 👌👍
The guy Jaylin was our waiter and he did a great job. He kept coming over to make sure we was good, never disappointed us. Wen I go there again, I will ask for the area he is in so I can have a great waiter. The dishwasher Will was assisting him since there was literally no customers in the restaurant so he came and they both made us feel welcomed. Thanx guys, yall was great. We will return.
Very disappointed with service....very slow even though it was not busy. 6 oz steak very tough. No refills on drinks. Our server waited on everyone around us several times, but only stopped for us when we called for her. Never had such a bad experience at Applebees until tonight. Wont be going back anytime soon.
Worst experience ever. I never complain, very patient at restaurants... However... We arrived at 6:30, we saw the waitress maybe 3 times, did not receive our food till 8:15. The manager arrived at 8:13 saying your order is coming any minute I said that we had been waiting for an hour and a half.. He said well no, your appetizer was put in 67 minutes ago.. So lets get that straight, it was an hour... and your food was only put in 15 minutes ago... I said, uh no... We put the appetizer in on the tablet on the table AFTER we had already ordered. He said well I dont know what you want me to do about that, what do you think I should do? (At this moment the food arrives) Ill come back to you guys later. Well, food was cold, awful, two of us ate most of ours, the other two barely touched it, and the manager never came back.. He passed the table and said Yall have a great night So..We had to ask our waitress for him...and I said, Look were pissed.. Weve been waiting an hour and a half for our food and it sucks.... What can you do about it.. He then proceeds to say, Well I was going to do that but I was letting you get finished with your food first (note that he has been rude this entire time) He then took off $5 of our entire meal.... I and the rest of our party were livid. Finally one lady from our table of four called him over and said None of this came out at a reasonable time, except the two beers, which we think is fair and will definitely pay, but the other thi....(manager interrupts) thats fine, have a nice night and snatches the receipt out of her hand. Now yes, I get it, in the end we got a free meal, but its not about that, thats not what we went in there for, I was willing to pay $30 for a great meal for me and my girlfriend... But I will still never step foot in that Applebees for several years till they get new staff and management, will never reccomend it, and will continue to disgrace it. Terrible experience.
My steak was overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside, the shrimp was overcooked big time, didnt get my cheese and bacon with the loaded baked potato and my 4 cheese mac n cheese sat for to long before they brought it. And it wasnt crowded. This place didnt just go downhill they jumped off the damn cliff. I wont be back
Had a carside to go order, waited almost 30min for it to be ready. Ok, its the Friday before Christmas, they are busy... Understandable. Ordered a 6oz sirloin medium and an 8oz medium rare... Got a so overly well done 6oz that it was like a hockey puck & you guessed right the other was so rare it needed to be cooked more. The lady who brought it out was super nice, the grill cook should be fired. How can you not cook a steak? Seriously...
Well to start off an employee was being loud and obnoxious, but was here as a customer. The bartender made me tell my order out to her while she ring it in the register. I ordered the butchers reserve and it was very dry, my sangria was watery. I spent 50 bucks, but I will not be back. As I was trying to eat my celebration dinner there were some of the employees kids being loud and just flat out rude sitting to the side of the bar. I see why this place only has regulars. They are use to the bad service.
We were told our to go order would be ready in fifteen minutes. We park at curbside and we still waited another twenty minutes The server with the lonnnng red hair came to the door but never looked out go inside to pick up order the sever with the lonnng red hair were very rude. Get home the food was cold french fries was awful.

2022-01-19In the past 2 years I have lived in Covington I have eaten here about 5-6 times including tonight. 3 of those times are in the past 3 months. It’s a busy spot and I don’t mind waiting I understand everywhere is short staffed. I am not big on eating out but the food taste is what had me and the family coming back. Tonight hubby and I did a mini dinner night and Adrian our server and bartender was amazing. Our drinks was on point he was conversational without being intrusive I love his vibes and the wait was not long. Food was great and hot. I will definitely be coming back soon. I gave 4 stars based on previous experiences although tonight experience was a 5 star..

2022-03-21I caught food poisoning from here don’t recommend this location..Last night 3/19/22 around 9:00-10 I placed an order through door dash I order the 6oz top sirloin anyways…first of my basket of fries was very cold and soggy after sitting for whoever long…the broccoli and mashpotatoes was decent they wasn’t that bad but the stank not so good woke up out my sleep 10am throwing up everywhere none stop it’s now 4:45 and I been in the bathroom on the toilet most DEFINITELY NEED MY REFUND!!!!!! asap most waste of $21.22 in my life

2022-05-06Most unsatisfactory service ever!!! We got there and there was a total of about 5 tables seated. We were told there was a wait of 35-45 minutes. Meanwhile the servers are walking in with a big bag from Longhorns. They proceeded to sit down and start eating, at 6:30, during what should be the lunch rush. Meanwhile the next 3 guests that come in are immediately seated. So long Applebees. Ive been in the restaurant business myself for about 30 years and this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Then they wonder why they dont get that many customers and the competition next door is packed.

2022-02-02I just really don’t understand how this place is still opened. My family and I are in tonight. After standing at the host stand for 5-10 minutes, I was finally sat, asked for s high chair for my baby, never got one. No one came to get any kind of order for over 10 minutes. After the server finally coming to the table, I ordered all the food and drinks at the same time. I waited 20 minutes for 2 bottled beers and 2 lemonades. Mozzarella sticks came out warm, not hot. I ordered the 4 cheese Mac and cheese with with honey pepper chicken. I got pasta with three sad tiny chicken bites. Not even 4 cheese…After speaking with the general manager, I see why the employees don’t care and the restaurant is a sorry excuse for an Applebees. She didn’t care at all. Told me next time I can check in on yelp and my wait time won’t be as long.. but the host was nowhere to be seen when I walked in and there were no customers ahead of me… she didn’t even listen. This was the 3rd and last time I try to give this place a try. Absolutely disappointed.

2022-03-15We got there and got our drinks pretty quick. So after 30 minutes or so I flagged the waiter down to find out where the appetizers were, dont know the manager was running the kitchen and he would come out and talk to me just as soon as he finished helping. Well never did see the manager but did see all kibds of orders going out to pick up.Ive been in management over 30 years and that is not good business. 😡🤬

2022-05-25I placed an order online and I was told that it will be ready in 20 minutes, so once I got there I was waiting on my food for almost an hour. the lady comes outside and she asked me did I have an order I said yes. once I received my food it was already cold and the lack of desire for it. It was very sloppy and miss handled And still they expected me to pay for it.that wasnt right. The quality of the food wasnt a good look and the taste was awful.. I will never visit this applebees again. it seems like the employees was just there just to get a check.. they were all on their phones sitting down and not being attentive to customers.. Poor management, poor service.

2022-07-10The Manager Corey is very rude and unprofessional.For one she kicked out this small group of adults at 11pm. What I heard from the conversation, one of her servers quit to go work at the restaurant they were coming from. She was so mad she just made them leave and made a huge scene in the restaurant. It’s was just unnecessary and completely ruined our night.And for two having been here once before when she was the manager my food had come to my table cold and I asked for a new plate to be made because I had no idea how long it had been sitting out. The server came back to my table and said her manager, who was Corey, refused and would only allow the food to be reheated.This was my last time going to this run down ghetto facility.

2022-03-06Food was OK, service great. Dont go to the womens restroom. No toilet paper, towel dispenser didnt work. Running water at one of the sinks would not turn off. Told the staff and my sister in law went in about a hour later - nothing done.

2022-07-12My husband and I came in and waited to be seated for 10 minutes.We had at least three other waiters staring at us but never came to seat us.What kind of restaurant looks at their customers at the door and then completely ignores them ?I then called and asked to speak with the manager and told her the situation and all she said was sorry they were probably just busy.Are you kidding me? That is NO excuse. The proper response for anyone in that situation where they are busy is to take one moment and say hey Ill be right with you. Thats all!But all we got was a stare down and a manager making excuses for their lack of customer service.Regional manager - please find a new manager who actually cares about their customers and straining their employees right.
