Family owned and low key, great place for 4l movies, inexpensive and theres putt putt too. Specials during the week and friendly staff, this is my first choice typically for a movie. Its family operated and I just love the place. I havent been anywhere else but here and Merchants Walk in the last few years.
This place has two scenic, outdoor mini-golf courses and a movie theater. The course we played was 18-holes and it was a lot of fun for our fam. The boy who sold us the mini-golf tickets was impatient and rude. It was hard to hear him over the outdoor music and the mask he was wearing, and being our first time there, I had to ask him to repeat some things twice. He seemed annoyed and did not thank us upon leaving. Also, why have a “family” rate if a family of three cannot use it? We were told only 4 people and up for the family rate. This left a bitter taste in my mouth. After the course, we went to the theater and watched the Shang-Chi movie (awesome). The staff at the movies were friendly and helpful. Its a shame there was barely anyone there. After the movie, at around 7:15 pm, we noticed there were more people playing mini-golf outside than when we did (at 4 pm). All in all, a fun place to spend a few hours. We will be back. And that boy at the ticket counter better not give me any attitude.
I normally enjoy movies here, but had a great deal of frustration today. We were running late for our movie (thats on me, but...) and got in the concessions line with only one set of customers in front of us, yet it was moving so slow with the one employee. Then, a second employee showed up and face us hope, but she ignored us, then a third employee and a manager came out. I asked the manager if someone could help us at another register, and she very flippantly responded that someone would be with me soon. So we waited and finally got the one guy working the register as the other 2 employees and the manager continued doing what they were doing while ignoring customers. I get that these are hard times in terms of good help being hard to find, but was surprised to learn that good management is also hard to find. Or at least thats the case at this theater with the old lady managing it.
The staff behind the counter was great. They advertise an arcade and a dinosaur statue. The arcade consisted of two games inside the movie theater which is where the concession stand is, food was not good typical microwave. Never found the dinosaur statue. The two golf courses were fun and my grandson and I enjoyed playing them
The popcorn here isnt good at all but Im giving them 5 stars for the manager who helped with one of the kids with me who lost his tooth. He grabbed me salt water and helped him clean it. I love service that is genuine from people who will go the extra mile to really help you.
Played mini golf. Got a hole-in-1 on the first three holes for the first time ever! Half way through it started raining and we tried to wait it out but course started to hold too much water. Customer Service was great and gave us a Rain-Check to come back and play later. The only reason I gave a 4-star in lieu of a 5-star is because the courses were not up to par.
Two mini golf courses, laser tag, and a movie theater. Did not go inside but played both courses of putt putt. Very cute courses but needs a little maintenance/TLC. There were multiple spots where the green had worn down to the cement underneath or there were drainage issues, including one hole that was literally full of water. If those issues were addressed, it would be a top notch mini golf spot.
Just went here again for the first time since the pandemic and it is still a great place! High quality sound and picture, friendly staff, and fresh concessions! The best deal you will find for a movie in the area!Get out and support your local businesses, especially this theater!
Not your new and modernized cineplex that most people desire but it stays up with the times, is cheaper than basically any other theater, and it’snever incredibly crowded which means you can get in to see popular movies the first weekend without worrying about sell-outs.
Went here for my anniversary. Lovely golf courses. Staff was genuinely nice and cheerful. Was able to do 2 courses for decent prices. And even though we almost completed the second course before rain hit, they gave us a free pass to come back again due to rain. Definitely going to come back again.
Always a great experience. The workers are all wearing masks and taking extra cleaning precautions. The other movie goers are socially distancing as much as possible and wearing masks themselves. Im super grateful for being able to feel comfortable going to the movies even in the panorama. 😉
Great little place to have some family fun pretty much any day of the week. There are two different mini putput courses with a concession both with drinks and candy. Normally there is also a cinema and a Wirley Ball place open as well. Covid I believe currently has those things shutdown.
Mini golf course was lacking. I have been to many mini golf courses as I enjoy them immensely and this one is subpar. I paid for both courses which ended up being almost the same with little to no variation. It’s a lot of straight on the green and definitely not worth the money for both. It’s adequate if you’re with small kids but I recommend going somewhere else for a more adventurous experience.
Great putt-putt golf courses! They are clean, colorful and updated! They also decorate for the season which makes it fun too. The movie pricing is average and theaters are ok. Love the kids snack (popcorn, drink, fruit snacks) option. Also, the people who work there have always been very friendly!
This is my favorite movie theatre. The prices are reasonable, the employees are friendly, and the facility is clean. My family and I will go to other theaters for various reasons but enjoy Aurora more. It boils down to the fact the they just try harder. I was very happy to support them on small business Saturday.
Family-run 4k theater and mini golf, very involved with the community. Best movie value in North Fulton. Super friendly staff. Place shines for the little touches, like the free mints leaving the theater. They go ALL OUT for the big Marvel or Lucasfilm premieres, bringing in the 501st Legion or Marvel characters in full costume, and the owners come to greet the crowd in costume on premiere night. This place beats any corporate overpriced mall theater hands down.
I get its a venue for family fun, but it was almost too childish when I drove up from Atlanta and was told the thunderstorms had closed down play. I understand it had rained earlier today but it had been dry for about 3 hours at this point and my forecasts all showed no more rain until after midnight. Extremely disappointing to have wasted the gas. The course looked really fun and the movie theater was a good value but I dont know if Im willing to make the long drive up again if theyre gonna close just because its cloudy outside.
After looking at prices and show times for a specific movie, we stumbled across this theater, and I’m so excited we did. Not only were the show prices notably less than others, it was such a positive experience. Free refills and a genuine staff really make this place stand out. I can’t wait to visit again. This local business is a step above all the big chains.
Thank you for making my little boys night! We arrived late and my little one was so disappointed and started crying. One of the guys walked over to him with a club and a ball and told him to go for it. He was over the moon and loved playing! Thank you again for going above and beyond that evening!
Really really decent mini golf... There are some semi challenging holes, but this place is more for family fun, or people who are just looking to have a laid back and fun experience... With this summer heat they have some sunbrellas out for some shade, staff was friendly also. My girlfriend and I went, and had a blast 🤗 we are still working on finding a favorite putt putt place, but this place is pretty high up on the list, and we wouldnt definitely come back 😊
Love this place.....very economical compared to other theaters. Staff is very friendly and seem glad you are there. Love the self refills on drinks and refill of all popcorn!! Tuesday is the day to go if you can.....$2.00 off tickets and popcorn combo! Restrooms are always clean, which is a plus! Only negative is bathrooms so far from theaters at end of hall. Should be one in the middle of all theaters.
Alex in guest relations went out of his way to make us feel appreciated when we came to play mini golf but werent able to play due to lightning risk. It was out 1st time visiting and he made sure we left with coupons to come back. It was impressive how much the staff wanted us to have a good time and come back.
There are so many good things about this place that I will have to itemize my review:The movie theater-The theaters are modern, very clean, and comfortable. The prices are reasonable and the concession stand has a good variety of foods. The drinks come with unlimited refills! The popcorn (regardless of size) comes with a free refill, and they have like 6 different flavored popcorn shakers in addition to the normal liquid butter stuff. After every movie the staff offers you a mint on the way out. Also, we got a coupon for 20% off Mellow Mushroom with our ticket stub. It is nice to see local business owners starting cooperative stuff like that.Mini golf-I have less experience with the mini golf than the theaters, but the course is clean, well-maintained, and challenging (but I suck at mini golf). There is no smoking allowed on the course, which is nice. They keep a supply of small prizes for kids who get hole-in-ones.The whole Area 51 complex reminds of the fun centers I would go to as a kid. The owners have taken StarTime, which was a dump, and made it great. It is locally and independently owned, which is also cool. I would give this place 6 stars if I could.
Its an inexpensive movie theater when you go early. Just make sure you take a jacket with you we can get chilly in there! I was in there one night and it was freezing! So I guess it depends on which theater youre sitting in I dont know. Dont get me lying I just know that I was freezing when I went to see GLASS. They do have miniature golf two different courses. You can do 1 or you can do both. I dont remember the prices call before you go and just enjoy yourself!
We played 18 holes of mini golf at The Fringe. There are two courses so you can do one or both. They are compact, so not much walking is required. The price is also very reasonable, so it makes for a good option with kids. A fun way to fill in an hour or two, then visit any of the great restaurants in the Roswell area.
Mini-golf was a great thing to do just before the movie! Took a date there and it was an easy way to break the ice, get to know each other and start talking. Kids are there, of course, but its really not an issue. Theater seats were comfortable, and you could easily put up the arm to hold hands or snuggle up.
I really like this theater! The last two times Ive been here were good. Friendly staff, clean family restroom, good priced tickets an concessions. The only thing I wasnt crazy about was the popcorn last trip it was freshly popped but tasted old! But hey it was only $3 and we added putt putt golf for only $5 more. I will be back.....😁
Really cool concept and place. Who doesnt like movies and mini golf! They play more adult type movies in the evenings, during the day there are more kid movies. At least it was like that while school was out. Still love the place! Went there for a field trip with a daycare and then another time with friends. Awesome place definitely recommend.
Ill be blunt; considering the area, I really thought this place would be a run down dive, and every movie would be something that hit real theaters months earlier. What I wanted to see was showing there, and I didnt feel like going to North Pointe, so we drove to Aurora. I must say Im glad to be so wrong about a place. It was clean, the movies are first rate, the staff was pleasant, the prices were very reasonable, and the facility was top notch. I highly recommend this theater.
This is my favorite theater... Reasons why... extremely kind staff, clean, good food and wholesome. When was the last time anyone thanked you for your business or an usher greeted you before the trailers started. Plus they have miniature golf....Side note: They gave my mom flowers for mothers day!
I LOVE coming here! I love the hometime touches that the owner Scott adds. The theater is clean, comfortable and the associates are always friendly and helpful. The mini golf is so clean and the decorations for holidays are adorable, i.e. Halloween! I love supporting this family owned business in Roswell and will always chose it over the chains. And I always look forward to the mints they give out at the end of each movie!
Every time we go to the movie at Aurora it is the best of everything. The price is not like other movie theaters, everyone can afford to go even the people that are crunching on money like we are. The staff are all friendly and you are happy to see them to because they make you fill like they like being there too. The seats are clean and so is the rest of the theater. If they had lunches and food that you could eat out there I dont think I would ever leave.
First the place is awesome the crew is extremely nice and polite always happy to bring a smile to your face I tell all my friends and I bring a lot of them to see a movie. Prices are reasonable a lot of good offers on mini golf popcorns private events always the best movies
I didnt know going to see first run movies could be so affordable or pleasant. This theatre goes above and beyond with lower ticket prices, extremely friendly staff (they even offer mints after the show!) clean, comfortable theatres, and a wonderful family friendly atmosphere. I never expected a theatre to have such high standards, but now that we have been spoiled at Area 51, my husband and I dont go anywhere else.
Big comfy seats, facilities as good as any other theater that Ive been too. But the best thing was Cole, an enthusiastic employee who got up in front of the audience and reminded us to turn off our cell phones and about upcoming attractions. It was a nice personal touch. Not a lot of people have what it takes to pull that off, but like my husband noted, the kids got charisma. :) I would suggest changing the line about cleaning up after us to something like well, not YOU, but you know, those OTHER people who drop their popcorn on the floor.
My family and I had such a great time going to the midnight showing of Labyrinth. We played mini golf before the movie while listening to David Bowie (they thought of everything). The staff was in costumes and had a brief introduction before the movie that was hilarious (very funny and friendly staff!). We drove an hour from Cartersville and it was so worth it, we cant wait to go again. I really was impressed by how wonderful the staff was. My 15 year old commented on the way out that wasnt a movie, it was an experience. She was right!
Great movie theater! This place is so great. The staff is friendly and so helpful. They allow refills on medium and large soda and popcorn. The always have enough staff to keep the lines short and quick. I like that they have one line for tickets and snacks. Highly recommend!
There is not a better theater in the area. It is a little off the main road behind the shopping center it is in, but has plenty of convenient parking. Also every other similar facility in the area is dingy and run down compared to this hidden gem.Instead of paying almost $50 for tickets and concessions like most theaters, the wife and I are able to get the same there for about $35.Finally their staff are not the normal jerk teenagers who hate their jobs and just want to leave. They are kind, courteous, and above all very friendly. If you live along GA400north of the perimeter, there its no other theater better than this one.
This is the only theater my family goes to. The prices are great, the concessions have free refills, the staff is always friendly and I love going to opening nights of big movies the excitement is contagious and the personal intros to the movie are a fantastic touch. The family atmosphere makes this a special place. I also love that it is a family run local business.
I loved the prices, concessions was so affordable we usually can’t buy popcorn and drinks because the tickets are so high, but here an entire family can enjoy popcorn and drinks for $13.25....amazing! They had several things for the children to enjoy outside. It was a great family night out!
This was my first time visiting this theater even though ive lived in the area 3 years. The price was great and even though it was opening night of a major film there was still plenty of room. There was some sort of host guy telling jokes and fun facts to the crowd when we walked in. If you dont have to have special seats and other fancy things for your movie going experience then this place is a good option for you.
Nice and clean. The lobby looks a little chaotic upon walking in. Line might seem long, but they work rather efficiently. Restrooms are well kept. The only down part is that the seats in the theater are somewhat uncomfortable, though they do lean back and you have lots of leg room.
Love going here with my son to see limited or late run inexpensive movies. Also a fun, reasonably priced round of minigolf. The only complaint is occasionally with service, not in the front, but in more than one occasion I had to speak with the staff upfront because no one had actually started playing the scheduled movie.
This place is just cool. They make it feel like it isnt a mainstream movie theater. Something just feels a little more warm and a little less corporate, and it adds to the experience of going through the movies. Other theaters feel like filing into airplane seats now.
Ive been going here for movies for years. Its my favorite movie theater and I can always count on great prices for tickets and snacks. The staff is fantastic at their work and strive to make the movie a hood experience. The theater is always decorated when bug movies like Star Wars or new superhero movies come out. Its fun and family friendly. The best.
Nice atmospheric look, relatively well priced, with some decent snack and theater food, most of it under $5. Love the matinee deals on Thursdays for a cheaper viewing easy on the pockets. Some of the chairs could be a bit more comfortable, but overall a great place to go to catch a movie.
This is my happy place. I love coming here to get away from my life if only for a couple hours and come out feeling good. The only reason I gave a 4 star rating is because sometimes the popcorn is stale and the soda machines break. The manager accepts all complaints. As a result I have been a repeat customer for years!
Great place. They have a part of the movie theater a mini golf course. The team is friendly and they have ten theaters. There is no sit selection, but they have great infrastructure. You can by tickets online or on an automatic machine at the theater or at concessions.

2022-05-24This locally owned theater is our theater of choice! Reasonably priced, comfy seats (though standard, not reclining like so many new places), nice variety of movies and times. Employees are always friendly and they often host fun events for premieres or other occasions. The cookies from concessions are great!

2022-04-17We love this cinema, its clean. Quick and easy. Its fist come first serve. So we get our tickets from kiosk, get our refillable popcorn and rinks, and go find the best seats. Prices are economic, and chairs are comfortable.

2022-06-26Great place for a movie and mini golf. My family loved it and it isnt that expensive. I recommend going at 9 because the course is lit up and it not so hot. Enjoy. We got 4 hole in 1s . What can you get...

2022-06-03Honestly the worst movie theatre experience I’ve ever had (although it seems this is not typical of this place.) for starters, the air was not working in the theatre our movie was in. It was miserably hot and humid in the theatre, many people complained but no resolution or communication came of it. The place smelled musty. Also, the movie theatre popcorn is the main reason I love movies and it just tasted…off.Lucky for them top gun was AMAZING so it kept me distracted and entertained.I will say, the price is right for this place. But I would rather pay more for the comfier seats and air conditioning 🤷🏻♀️ Will definitely not go back to this theatre.

2022-04-13The place is clean and the staff are all very friendly every time that I’ve been there. The seats in the theater are also very comfortable. And the prices are good too. All around it has been a great experience every time I’ve gone.

2022-06-15I have enjoyed Area 51 for almost 8 years. My kids like the movie theater and also the miniature golf. But today I will have to give Area 51 only 3 stars because the manager subjectively closed miniature golf due to the heat. I walked up to the outside window where I usually pay for golf but the sign said please pay for golf inside. I walked inside and up to the concessions area and asked an employee for a round of golf. Just as I was pulling out my wallet the manager (older female who looked hurried) stopped and said, Miniature golf is closed. Its 100 degrees out there. I think that is what she said. She blurted her decision out as she zipped past and disappeared into the managers office. The employee just stood there not knowing what to say. I turned around and left. As I exited I saw a mother with 3 young boys walk up to the outside pay window. Her boys looked excited to be able to play but alas the manager stopped that fun in its tracks. So, Area 51 lost 5 paying customers in 2 minutes. Why does it matter how hot it is outside? Is that not the risk a customer owns? Did not the mother decide its OK for her 3 young boys to be out in the heat for an hour? Is this not Georgia in June? Is this weather unexpected? Did the manager have to stand outside and supervise us? Did she have to turn on any lights or waterfalls? There is nothing complicated about hitting a ball into a cup. I give Area 51 3 stars because I may not understand why golf was closed. Liability for heat stroke? Please let me know the logic and I will gladly come back again and again. Thank you.

2022-05-07We usually never have problems with this movie theater until today. They were very rude. Young lady had an attitude when we continuously asked nicely. If I could give it zero stars I would. Aurora staff do better.

2022-04-16I have been coming here for many years and never have had a bad experience. Until today. Simply I was practicing my putting on their FREE putting green and my friends were laughing and hanging out nearby. Then, a worker came up to me and demanded that I give my ball and club back. I had done nothing but practiced. She said that I had been messing around and throwing my club. Again, I had not. I again told her I wasn’t, I was just practicing and she told me to get lost. I lost my extra time because of an incompetent worker. I will not be returning. If you go here don’t play putt-putt, ‘It seems you will be called out for acting up when simply playing putt-putt.

2022-05-28Absolute ghastly experience. The hot dog I got, that I was told I needed to wait for them to cook (which I had no issue with) turned out cold. Thats whatever, I wasnt missing the opening of the movie to haggle over that. However, when paying their card machine was clearly problematic and required me to swipe my card multiple times. At one point I was even told the transaction declined. Well, clearly not. I finalized my payment and went about my way. However, following the movie I recognized I had three pending charges for the same amount. Thinking the pending charges would drop off after a couple days, I thought little of it. They did not. They finalized the next morning. Upon calling the theater I was told without coming in (which would cost an additional $30 in uber to get there and back) and showing a receipt since thrown away, there was nothing they could could do. The charges totaled $96.75. Absolutely unacceptable.

2022-06-28Aurora Cineplex is AMAZING!!! The team at Aurora Cineplex go far beyond what is expected for your typical movie going experience to really make every guest feel special and taken care of. The staff is professional, kind and very attentive. Aurora Cineplex creates one of a kind experiences through out the year to promote the films of the time. For instance, I have seen guests greeted in the lobby by actors dressed in full movie accurate Ghostbuster attire and posing with fans for photos during the showing of the Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Another time fans were treated to an entire pre-show performance for Jurassic Park World Dominion that included a cast dressed in Jurassic Park attire and a legit velociraptor ( BLUE ) performer!!! Not every day is a BIG performance day at Aurora Cineplex, but rest assured you will always be treated with the top most level of customer service and walk away happy you made the choice to see a movie there. Aurora Cineplex has brough the magic and excitement back to the cinema experience. Also, the in-house bakery is an incredible bonus. The cookies are phenomenal and to be honest... I pick up a baker dozen every time Im there to enjoy later with friends and family.
