I have been a member for over 40 years and have seen the Club recently fall into the hands of a group of board members that feel like they can harrass and intimidate members. The general manager is the worst I have ever seen in my time at the Club. I would not recommend this club to anyone.
The lady Nadine was very rude to me and a few other people at our table at our lobster dinner buffet tonight! I was here as a plus one and after seeing the staff that you all have In charge I don’t think I would ever be returning she was not very accommodating when asked about different things !! She made it seem as though I was bothering her and ultimately just really made me want to leave early !! I did ask to speak to the manager and she told me she was in charge and she was the manager!! I was too upset after that with how I was treated … Futhermore if that’s the kind of staff that you guys have it’s not a good look to the company. Please hire better staff/managers.
I had a lobster dinner tonight I asked one of the waiters for a decaf coffee she was nice enough to go and “ try “to get it for me but after returning she let me know that her supervisor Nadine told her that we could go get it ourselves . I thought that was kind of rude especially because the curly haired girl had no problem getting it for us as much as I spend to be a part of this club it’s a shame the way I have been treated tonight!
The event supervisor Christian is a wile human. I was having a personal crisis and he yelled at me and sent me home for causing drama. I was in re bathroom stall collecting myself and he sent me home. For causing drama. I was not causing drama with guests, I did my job and he sent me home and garnish my wages
My experience is that staff is present at all entrances but are so engrossed on their cell phones that they dont open the doors for guests... not even those with walkers and wheel chairs . I witnessed other guests or maybe members holding open the front doors for others while those that appeared to be staff were distracted on thier phones. Thankfully, I was only a guest and not a paid member. I was mortified that the staff stationed at the entrance only barely looked up from their cell phones to great the guests.Once inside the service staff (food servers and cash bar) was excellent.I only gave one star because I had to do at least that to leave a comment.
As far as country clubs go. This is a good one. It’s very large and there are lots of athletic options. Members are not allowed inside the clubhouse when not in uniform or proper attire and you’re not allowed to be on your phone laptop in the club house either. They have a driving range and a 18 hole and par 3 course for younger kids. The pool has multiple life guards and and a water slide. You can order food inside the pool house and it will be brought out to you when ready so you don’t have to worry! The only thing is that the room often will have multiple missing shingles. And i feel like the security to get into the club is slightly lax.
Im a big fan. We are not members but are considering. Two golf courses - one that has hosted the PGA Championship. Solid clubhouse and dining options. Fantastic pool. High dive and slides for the kids. The people up here are wealthy but dont seem as snooty as some of the in town clubs. As country clubs go I think its an attractive value.
Both the Highlands course and the Riverside course are in pristine condition, just like how it is for the pros. The par 3 course is also very well managed and very fun to play. EVERYTHING is in perfect condition from the food to tennis, to golf, swimming, basketball and much more. Everyone at the club is extremely nice and respectful. Best golfing experience yet!
I attended an event here and was really impressed by the whole operation. The staff were super courteous and took great care of the guests. I had some great interactions with the folks here and I just had to come and leave a good note. I really hope I get a chance to come back to this lovely place.
Bobby Jones would be proud. I met two of the golf pros. This Club engages the community around it. I attended a morning lecture from a PhD. Emeritus in organic chemistry from Baylor with his detailed proof of God. He showed how with extremely minute variations in a handful of postulates, life would not exist. He sat next to me at the following breakfast. Big time. We wrestled with the philosophers proofs going each way. Science is doing its similar thing.Tennis and golf have brought this club into the national focus. Just walk through the place. I ran into Sen. Sam Nunn in the grill.
Located in the citys wealthy northern suburbs alongside the Chattahoochee River, the historic Atlanta Athletic Club offers 36 holes of championship golf. In addition to the highly-acclaimed Highlands and Riverside courses, the clubs top-quality facilities also include a par-3 course, athletic centre, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, Olympic-sized pool and luxurious clubhouse and dining facilities.

2021-06-25Gorgeous course I wish I could play. Was there for the LPGA PGA Championship. For a LPGA major I was disappointed. There was a lack of food and beverage locations available for patrons. They were few and FAR away. I work the Mitsubishi Electric @ TPC Sugarloaf each year and the differences are night and day. The 2021 LPGA Championship related gear covered maybe a rack and a half in the tiny pro shop. Food was outrageous, beer required a second mortgage. Burger was $15 and a beer was $14 for a $29 lunch. Water was $6.

2020-01-26I grew up at this place, literally so many memories here. This was where I learned to swim and play tennis as well as where I learned to play golf. This place has it all. My parents used to drop us off and go do their thing and then come pick us up. I had so many friends here growing up, I got to go back this summer and the place while it has been upgraded tremendously has not changed. Its still the premier club in Atlanta with amazing golf courses they span the river, a state of the art fitness center and one of the best restaurants around. If you get the chance to join do it, it will be a great place for your entire family and definitely worth the money.

2022-01-15Its definitely beautiful here. I enjoy working on the riverside course right now. Atlanta Athletic Club is environmentally responsible and expects those working at their club to do the same. They are well known enough that they dont need my review. Its a friendly environment and our company has a good relationship with Atlanta Athletic Club.
