They didnt seem to have any interest in helping me buy a new Cervelo Caledonia to replace my old Cervelo that I had bought from them. The manager said that they didnt have the bike I wanted in stock and would call the Cervelo rep. Week goes by, nothing, so I call back. He still had not contacted Cervelo but said it didnt look good for whatever reason. I ended up spending my $5,000 at Competetive Cycling in Utah and had it shipped to Atlanta via UPS with no issues. Since they are the only Cervelo dealer in the Atlanta area I thought they would be a tad more helpful.
Great staff and awesome selection of bikes!!! I was looking for a specific bike and my wife called around and they had it in stock. We were able to place a hold on the bike. When we arrived to pick up the customer service was superb. Even though it was near closing time they didn’t rush us and eagerly answered all of my questions.
Lauren and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They went above and beyond to help me pick up my bicycle even after business hours! I can tell that they really care about customer service. They also did not try to sell me they just gave me information that I needed to make my purchase
I recently purchased a new Trek Emonda SL6 from Patrick at Atlanta Cycling Vinings. They couldnt have been more helpful. They were very knowledgeable about the products they sell. I was never pressured to spend more. Quite the opposite as they saved me money on just about everything I was interested in getting. I was looking at the 2018 and 2019 version and couldnt see a difference other than $500.They didnt try and sell me on the 19 version for more money. Patrick took his time and fit me to the bike properly. Including changing the stem length. They gave me a great deal on the bike so I also purchased my Keo peddles and bottle cages from them. I returned the next day and bought a Bontrager Duotrap sensor and the other employees I dealt with were just as helpful. I was in the market for a road bike upgrade and visited several other shops in my area. Atlanta cycling was the only shop that had bikes in stock ready to test ride and purchase. The others all had to order the bikes. I looked at Giant and Specialized dealers in the area none had bikes. Atlanta Cycling had plenty on the showroom to test. For me, the shop is out of the way, Im in Powder Springs, but they will continue to get my business!
Jan was incredible! Both on the phone before we came in and then in the store, she was extremely kind, helpful and patient. She gave us a lot of very helpful information for choosing the best bikes for both my husband and I. We had our in increasingly grumpy 4yr old twins with us and she was so kind and good with helping them pick out their bikes too and making them feel seen and special. She gave great insights on bikes as well as any other items that could be helpful for us. We didn’t feel like just a number there and the service was exceptional. She was very smart and knew her stuff about the bikes but also connected with us on a human level. You have a lifetime customer now!
I purchased my first bike in 2007 from Atlanta Cycling and every bike since then. This most recent visit AC assisted me with a part I installed on my mountain bike that was not effective with my drive train. Mechanic Will had the issue resolved in less than 20 minutes and offered useful advice going forward. I will always return to Atlanta Cycling, their customer service is excellent.
Great experience. Jan went out of her way to find the exact bike I wanted, rather than trying to sell me what they had on the floor, which didnt really meet my needs. Jan arranged to get the bike brought in from another state, and called me the day it arrived to arrange bikes up. I am now a happy owner of 2020 Trek Top Fuel 9.8. Thanks Atlanta Cycling!
Brought a frame to them today because I needed the headset and bottom bracket removed (press fit) to ship back for a warranty a issue. They damaged the cups on my brand new Chris King headset and still had the nerve to charge me 35$ for the work. The mechanic tried to play off like its something that normally happens when removing a press fit headset. Dont use these guys if you value your expensive bikes and parts, this iscompletely unacceptable.
The sales reps in the Vinings location were extremely helpful. I would like to bring special attention to Lauren who was able to help me find comfortable shoes and other items I needed. While in the store, I overheard a conversation between another sales rep and a customer. The customer was looking to buy a bike - from what I can tell, the sales rep provided service that was over and above what was required.
Super customer service! All of the employees that I worked with were very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive... very impressive! From my first phone conversation when I purchased the bike with Lauren Hadley, to picking out accessories, to fitting it and getting it set up properly for me, I was happy and impressed. They took extra care to get me in and out of the shop as quickly as possible when I drove down to pick it up, knowing I was driving 4 hrs each way from TN.I was delighted to see the range of inventory of accessories in stock, and was able to purchase a few things Id thought Id have to buy later at various other places.Fantastic experience.
The greeting I received when I brought in my bike was so warm and welcoming. I instantly had trust nothing negative would happen. My bike was repaired ahead of schedule. When I came to pick up the bike, it was pouring down rain. A person came to my truck with an umbrella and made sure I stayed dry. He went the extra mile. This shop is now my only bike shop.
I had the best experience at Atlanta cycling. I came in knowing nothing about what I wanted and was immediately greeted and helped. Billy was very informative and answered all my questions. When we settled on a bike he had it shipped and held from another store so I could test it out since its been two decades since Ive been on a bike. The store is spacious, clean, and well lit. It reminds me of a cafe with the way things are on display but with bikes and not scones. Everyone is incredibly friendly and I can tell they love what they do. I ended up buying the bike suggested to me and even though it was raining Billy helped me load it into my car. I would definitely recommend Atlanta Cycling and I will be back when its time for tuneups.
The entire staff was friendly, accommodating, and professional. The shop was buzzing with customers and team members. I always have a great experience at Atlanta Cycling. However, the service manager was the highlight. He showed me how to use my bike. I felt so silly, but he took the time to explain the features to me. I am so grateful for his time.
Matt was extremely helpful in guiding us and explained about the different bikes that we should pick from. He offered us a budget friendly and at the same time the right fitness bike. All of our questions were answered very patiently and some new bicycling tips were shared as well.
The whole staff at Atlanta Cycling Vinings is friendly and helpful. I have to give a shout out to the Service Manager, Andrae! He gave a wonderful recommendation to go with tubeless tires for my mountain bike and helped me make a few adjustments for a more comfortable ride. His vast knowledge of bikes was very much appreciated!!
I had a very good visit on Wednesday. Im a beginner and kind of felt a bit like a fish out water but Matt gotme good and fitted and gave me some really good tips. Bob was especially awesome! He too gave me reallygood tips and advice. He also listened to me which is something I havent really gotten at the bike shops Ivevisited in the past. They really know their stuff and are truly passionate about cycling and getting everyoneinvolved in the activity.ATL Cycle -Vinings will definitely be my new go to solely based off my first experience!
We had a superb experience at Atlanta Cycling Vinings. I called around searching for an XL Verve Trek bike my husband needed and Atlanta Cycling had the exact bike and color in stock, while other bike shops didn’t. We were able to place a hold over the phone given the high demand for bikes during the pandemic. We arrived the next day and was greeted with a warm welcome when we arrived. We received the best customer service and my husband was able to test ride the bike he wanted plus another bike he was considering. They closed at 6:00 pm but did not rush us as we had tons of questions. Our sales rep was very knowledgeable and provided outstanding customer service!!! We throughly enjoyed our experience and left with the bike we searched around the city for! We definitely will recommend this location to our friends and family.
They were very friendly, inviting, and helpful the minute we walked through the door. They explained different types of bikes and which ones were appropriate for specific terrain. We ordered our bikes and once they arrived they took more special care ensuring the bikes fit and we were comfortable. I recommend them...ABSOLUTELY!
I just got a new full suspension mountain bike from Atlanta Cycling in Vinings. Patrick was very helpful in helping with my final decision, a carbon fiber Trek Remedy upgraded with a 1x12 speed, 10-50 tooth rear sprocket. A nice upgrade from my Litespeed Pisgah, also from AC.
First, these guys are great I started cycling a year ago and theyve always pointed me in the right direction to make me a better cyclist. Not only from a gear perspective but actual skills and knowledge. Matt is the manager and is extremely knowledgeable. Andre, the service manager, may look like a cuddly teddy bear but hes a lean mean bike knowledge machine. Recommend!!!
Amazing customer service. Billy was very knowledgeable and kind. He provided so much information and answered all our questions/concerns. I am in love with my new bike, thanks to Billy! He asked a few questions and knew right away which bike would be more beneficial for me. He even helped us mount the bike rack to the car since it was our first time. Very professional and helpful. Thanks again, Billy!
The bikes are smooth and solid. Matt was exceptionally helpful and good natured, and offered a wealth of knowledge and experience that made me and my girlfriend feel very comfortable with the whole experience. We had a pair of bikes stolen and were eager to get on new wheels and get back to riding. Even with the supply chain issues from COVID, we were recommended good bikes among the stock that was available and taken well care of by the whole team! We couldnt be happier! Ill be back for a road bike for sure once we save up for a month or two.
I have purchased three high-end bikes in the last two years and have been very impressed with the personalized service offered by the Vinings location of of Atlanta Cycling. The best part is the service after the sale. Despite record activity at bike stores during COVID, each time I have had a service need the turn around time has been remarkable. Often times they are able to handle my needs on the spot. For bigger issues, they make it a priority to take care of customers who purchase their bikes from the store.
Everything you need from starting out to going pro. Nothing but the best brands and products in stock. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Repair technicians are the best in the business, wouldn’t dream of taking my bike elsewhere. The weekly rides are still my favorite of the local rides I’ve found.
Purchased two new bike with my boyfriend. After 1-day use, there are sth. wrong, but they are very nice and we exchange another bike. Like it!Update: Did a free basic tune up yesterday, pro and fast. Staff are so nice~Update: Tack-in-a-tire. They replace my inner tube ($8.99) plus labor fee $15 plus tax. I think the price is reasonable b/c I am not good at it. Quick and polite.
This store is a great place to purchase a bike. Most of the staff members are extremely knowledgeable, and they don’t push anything on you. They genuinely want the best fit for the customer. The only negative thing I have to say is that some of the younger salespeople are eager just to sell you something, and not as willing to take the time to educate the customer properly. If you’re going to buy a bike here, make sure you get one of the more seasoned salespeople. The younger ones tend to just tell you what you want to hear without asking questions or giving thorough explanations. My main salesperson was John, and he was great.
I love and only go to this store. The staff is amazing and so helpful. Last visit Lauren was my sales rep this week and like always she is amazing. Their customer service and willing to help anyone in to cycling or with cycling is top notch. Beginner or intermediate all your questions are important to them and they take the time to help you. Thank you Atlanta Cycling team for always been number 1.
Atlanta Cycling - Vinings offers top quality products and services at reasonable prices. I was amazed at not only the cost of my recent chain replacement, but also the speed at which they turned around the repair. Also, Jan was very helpful in providing information on e-bikes. I will be back!
Each and every staff member at this location are very attentive to each customer that walks inside the store and are readily available to assist with whatever you need as far as being a beginner to an expert rider. They are there to answer any questions that you have in regards to your bike your equipment etc. I am very excited about being a new rider and the store being available to assist me with my needs.
Wanted to get on the saddle and enjoy riding again. Explained to sales manager, Patrick what I was looking for and he did a fantastic job getting me what I wanted. He also did a great job explaining the fit and feel of the bike making sure I was properly sized to the frame. I ended up walking out with a new bike that day. Great customer service and really friendly staff. I would recommend this store to anyone in the Atlanta area.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful! When it is time to upgrade my daughters bike, I plan on purchasing it here. I had no idea what I was doing with buying a bike carrier. Staff made sure I understood how to install it and load my bikes. When I got home and was confused loading my daughters bike, they provided support over the phone and I was promptly on my way to the trail to ride.
Matt was AWESOME! Very warm and attentive. Great customer service and he made me feel special. I appreciate Matt for the experience and for providing me with background knowledge regarding my bike. He did not pressure me to make a purchase; however he showed me options that better suited my likings. BTW, I love my bike as well. But the customer service Matt provided is what really sold the bike.
The customer service was great. We worked with Roman and he was 5 stars. I felt informed and comfortable while discussing bike options. There was a nice selection of bikes and accessories. They also offered to order and ship items to the store if they didnt carry a certain size or style. I will definitely be going back for any new bike accessories.
This is a great place to buy cycle shoes. My salesperson was very knowledgeable and patient when describing the benefits and purpose of each shoe. This was my first time purchasing cycle shoes and I used them for the first time today. They fit wonderfully! I highly recommend this store. The products and service was amazing.June 29th- I made my second purchase of a new bike and again excellent service. My salesperson John was knowledgeable and patient. Also, another salesperson Jan did some research for me over the phone. Google would not allow me to do a second review so I updated this one. You cant go wrong with store. Quality products and professional people.
I went to Atlanta Cycling because I needed some shoes for a spin bike. The shoes that were recommended to me from another bike shop were incorrect. I got there and I was immediately greeted by Matt. He was great!! He helped me get the accessories I needed to make the shoes work for the bike and switched out my other pair for the correct shoes. He even put the spd cleats on my shoes for me without me having to ask!! Talk about going above and beyond! He was great and his jokes were pretty good too. The entire staff is very friendly and they seem to be one big family. I will definitely go to Atlanta Cycling from now on because they are knowledgeable and customer service is top notch!! 5 stars for me!!
I absolutely love Atlanta cycling in Vinnings! Everyone there is so welcoming and friendly. I have been going there for a few years now. Ive enjoyed biking for some time but this is the first shop that felt incredibly welcoming even as a beginner rider. They answered all my questions with kindness and knowledge. Every time I go I am greeted with a smile and a helping hand. You can tell the people that work there are passionate about the love of riding and are eager to share it with other. Jan is exceptional! Shes so knowledgeable and kind. She took the time to help me install a rack and order some parts I needed to make sure my bike would be secure. Im so thankful this is my home bike shop :)
Atlanta Cycling - Vinings has great customer service and knowledgeable employees. I brought my bike in multiple times over the last two months and have had a great experience. They take the time to answer all my questions and take great care of my bike. Highly recommend!
Jan was very customer friendly on the phone. My purchase did not feel transactional. Atlanta Cycling has more inventory than any shop I have talked to. I talked to many shops who told me I could not get a bike until next year. Delivery of the bike was very professional and very safe during this pandemic season we are in.
I have been a client of Atlanta Cycling and club member for 20 years, during which time I have bought seven bikes from them. Their relationships with top manufacturers from around the world put them in a position to offer their customers the very best equipment available at competitive prices. Their sales staff are knowledgeable, personable, and are always looking out for the customers best interests. Their bike fitters are the best anywhere in Atlanta and will dial you in to your bike to make you as comfortable and efficient as possible. I cant emphasize strongly enough what a difference it makes to have a bike fitter who knows what he is doing and who is paying close attention to every detail of the fit. Even after getting my pedals, seat, and handle bar/stem to what felt to me like the most perfect fit I have ever had on a bike, they continued to work on adjusting the precise angle of my cleats to squeeze out just a little more power in my pedal stroke. They don’t just get it close, but exactly right. After the sale, their mechanics take great care of your bike. AC has a strong community of local riders who are attracted to the weekly rides that leave from the shop five days a week. They really are a great place to buy and service your bike and to connect with great people who share your love of cycling.
Lauren was amazing from the moment we walked into the store. She greated my wife and me warmly. She listened to what we were looking for. Directed us to a couple of bikes, took them for a spin and decided on two Verve 2 bikes. She answered every question, we never felt rushed and helped us load our bikes in the car. FIVE ⭐ for Lauren!! Well be back!!
Great experience. Patrick spent quite a bit of time explaining the little differences and nuances of the bikes. I mentioned the type of ridding that I used to do and that I still enjoy but my last bike was 22 years old. So there was a lot to learn. All in all it was a great experience. There’s a few bike shops near me but I travel about 45 minutes to go to Atlanta cycling in Vining’s.
Billy from the Vinnings locations at Atlanta Cycling was incredible. My husband and I were coming through with every intention of buying a beginner mountain bike to take on vacation and to start a new hobby together. My husband found the perfect bike right away and Billy helped him strap it to our new car mount. I was unable to find a medium bike that fit my needs and he did some researching at the other locations in the region but still didn’t see anything. Right before we were going to drive away, he came back outside to let me know he found a Trek Women’s Marlin 5 in light blue that needed to be assembled across town at another location (Ansley). We got the help we needed and drove off with both Trek bikes in under 2 hours. He was mostly worried about me not having a bike and went to great lengths to make sure I found one! Thanks Billy!
Matt is awesome. Not only did he get me squared away with a great first real hybrid, but he also let me try other options, including the top of line models. As a VERY new rider, being able to physically experience the differences gave me a true perspective. Covid-19 has made consultative sales difficult, yet Matt took his time and walked me through every step of the process with a true respect for my patronage and decision making. Also, Atlanta Cycling - Vinings was the ONLY shop with a bike suitable for my 63 frame that was in my budget.I appreciate attention to detail. As a business owner, myself, customer service is of the utmost importance. I referred friends within hours of my great first impression of Matt and the experience at the shop.Thank you
As an experienced cyclist, I took my budget brand bike in for a safety check and to see why I was experiencing trouble shifting. The technician was patient Showing me damage that I had not recognized. He was not in the least condescending And made sure my bike was safe for me. I was so impressed with the service that I went back a few weeks later and purchased a good bicycle. Everyone there has been very friendly and helpful.
Wide selection of bikes and related gear in stock plus extremely knowledgeable staff. Sales guy Matt treated my teen son, who was brand new to cycling, as if he were his own kid and made sure he was super comfortable with options, sizing, multiple test rides, and recommended sensible upgrades based on his experience. Highly recommend Atlanta Cycling in Vinings area!
The salesperson was knowledgeable and nice. Even though I went with a specific bike in mind, he showed me other options so that I could compare and pick the right one for me. The bike was ready for pick up the next day. Everyone in the store was attentive and were following protocols to prevent multiple people inside the store and ensure proper social distancing (COVID).
Recently purchased a Marlin 6 and love it! Atlanta Cycling and particularly John were very helpful in helping me secure the bike while also showing me all of the features. Mountain bikes are very hard to come by these days. John told me when to expect new bikes to arrive and was spot on. John also installed my cage and phone holder. Atlanta Cycling is my new go to spot for all of my familys bicycle needs! I cant wait to get out on the trails!
I have rented, purchased and had service done in bike shops in 6 different states (and 3 different countries) and these guys are hands down the best. Good prices, excellent knowledge and superb service. For example, what bike shop offers lifetime free adjustments? Beyond that, when I have had a problem with my bike or service, they address it immediately and no questions asked. I am a customer for life and I highly recommend Atlanta Cycling. Nice job Todd and team.
I recently moved here and was needing to do some repairs on an older bike from the 90s. They fixed it up in a couple days and charged an extremely reasonable price to do it. It rides very well again. I also purchased a new bike online that came with some minor damages and they were able to assist while I was in the store and explained everything to me in great detail. Im very thankful I found a great and reliable bike shop with the first shop I took my bike to, and will continue going to this location as long as I live in the Atlanta area. I can trust the repair guys and they arent out to screw you. Thanks for everything guys!UPDATE: I have had ongoing issues with my tires losing air and after numerous attempts to have them fix my issue Ive finally just given up. My back tire goes flat every 2-3 days and everything weve tried doesnt fix it. Their end answer was that Ill just need to reinflate tires as needed. I wasnt super pleased with this answer, but Ive been dealing with it.I took my bike to another shop recently and they quickly found that not only was I charged for one thing and given another, they used the wrong size tape on the tire, which is why I kept having leaks. Id believe that its just someone that doesnt know what they are doing, but I returned here several times and had several people look at it. Either these guys dont know what they are doing or they purposely took advantage of me. Either way I would no longer recommend these guys as you cant trust the work they do. Ive reduced my rating of this business from a 5 star rating for this reason. If you chose to go here anyway, Id be very careful and check everything they do as they cant be trusted.
The staff at VInings were extremely helpful in getting a bike carrier for me. The manager at Ansley called them to see if they happened to have the type of rack I needed, they had it and by the time I arrived at the store they had it put together and ready to go. The level of professionalism at both locations was the best.
The people have great customer service. The bike tire replacement tubes we all defective. Originally purchased 2 and had to return one because it came already with a hole in it. During the bike tire tube process and decided what the heck let me buy another one just in case. Came home and they had holes in them. I am not wasting my time going back to exchange and/or get refund. Im just that disappointed that I just dont want to go back.
Great mechanics, great local bike shop feel, superb customer service. Im in there all the time - they know me by name, open the door to greet, couldnt be happier w/a bike shop!Update 6/16 - still loving Atlanta Cycling. Have bought two bikes from there, a Trek Madone road bike and Trek Fuel EX mountain bike. They keep both in tip top shape any time I bring them by for even a tiny thing. If you buy your bike there you get free adjustments for life. Friendly, expert service.
Well approximately 90 days ago we purchased a mountain bike for about $4200 service was good we also purchased a bike rack for our vehicle. a few days after that we sent one of our friends to purchase their bike another 3-4KThe rack broke and punctured a hole into the carbon fiber of the bike. We brought the rack and the bike back to the shop the sales person said they would do an exchange or give a loaner bike THEY DID NEITHER!! Now I have no bike! They suggested we not ride the bike or ride at our own risk. They said they need to file a claim with the manufacturer of the bike rack and if that doesn’t work they can try a 3rd party vendor to repair the bike. they would be able to offer a 10%discount on my next purchase. Does anyone recommend a bike shop with better customer service.
I know these guys clearly have a lot of good reviews and it’s well deserved. BUT my 5 star review is inspired because of Bob. If you have no idea what you want in terms of a bike, Bob not only has the knowledge, but he has Empathy, total blunt honesty on what he agrees or disagrees with(which I needed), and he wanted nothing but for me to leave happy and enjoy riding. We had a lot of good laughs too. It made the experience so much better. Thanks Bob. I appreciate you taking 3 hours with me to find the right bike.Ash.
Knowledgeable, professional, helpful, friendly. pleasant and Quick turn around. After leaving my bike at several bike shops to get a rear brake for my bike, being assured that they would order the correct part and have me up and running it or saying they had the part and did not. I was without my bike for approx. 3 weeks between the two other bike shops. I picked my bike up and took it to Atlanta Cycling in Vinings, GA and they looked at the bike as I brought it in and without hesitation told me what I need before I told them. I should have went with my intuition and took my bike to Atlanta Cycling in Vinings, GA from the very beginning. I dropped my bike off at Atlanta Cycling in Vinings, GA and said they would order the part and have me riding in no time and they did just that it took only two business days. They have a new customer. Excellent service.
We were so excited to find a bike for my son during quarantine! We ordered over the phone and when we went to pick the bike up, Lauren was fantastic. She had my son try out the bike and even moved the water bottle holder and kick stand from his old bike onto his new bike. I highly recommend Atlanta Cycling Vinings!
AC has truly helped me and my husband find the perfect bikes to start our cycling adventures. The quality of the selection and the price range helped us pick the right bike and components, well within our budget.A big shout out to John Pugh who put in a lot of hours in the store, and over the phone, answering countless questions, offering the best suggestions, explaining each component, and giving us the best safety and riding tips to ensure we are fully prepared and ready to go.All of the staff, especially Jan, Roman, Patrick and Andre, are awesome!
If youre looking to purchase a new bike, Id highly recommend Atlanta Cycling. I found the sales staff to be very friendly, knowledgeable, personable, and patient. Patrick, Carol, and every sales associate Ive encountered have been great in helping me dial in the right fit for my recently purchased Emonda. I really appreciated the help Carol gave me in resolving a few issues Id recently been experiencing on my bike. Honestly, I have had really great customer service in both Vinings and Ansley so you cant go wrong regardless.
Great selection of bikes. also, really enjoyed working with Jan - she was knowledgeable and caring. really listened to what i was in the market for and educated me on what was available without trying to oversell me. you can tell she really loves cycling and loves to share that with others. greatly appreciate her time and expertise. looking forward to seeing her and the rest of the Atlanta Cycling team out on the roads!
Service and sales staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They aim to satisfy their customers and have always done so with me. Whether its chosing a product to buy or having repair work done on a bike or accessory, they are competent. I have bought two bikes from them, one in 2004 and the other in 2012. As part of the sale, they provide routine checks and tuneups for the life of the bike. They have a full range of biking clothes, accessories and upgrades. My next bike will come from Atlanta Cycling.
Personal service was incredible. I went in to service an older bike. By the time I was told what I needed, I decided to add a little and bought a new one. Of course, this made their day. However, they showed me EVERYTHING that they claimed was wrong... nothing extra. Do doubt my old bike needed quite a bit. So I ended up walking out with a new Trek. Im happy! Love this place.
Thank you John (at Vinings) and Ryan and the whole team at Ansley. We had an outstanding experience ordering our Burley bike trailer from you and having it assembled and hooked up to our bikes we purchased from you a couple years ago. You all made the whole experience easy, efficient, and enjoyable. Amazon can’t provide what you gave us; we are glad we could support local and are appreciative of your customer service! Thank you.
Excellent customer service, fast turn around! Atlanta cycling has been taking care of my mountain bike needs for the last 8 years and I’ve always been extremely satisfied with their service and attention to detail. They have gone far beyond what would be considered normal customer service to take care of several issues I’ve had over the years with my Cannondale mountain bike. Thanks Atlanta Cycling for your high standards of service. You’ve set the bar very high!
Have been visiting Atlanta Cycling since I bought my first bike 12 years ago. Always great customer service from their sales, service and fit staff.Just bought my latest bike from them and they were as great to work with as ever. Never pushing more bike or accessories than I need and always providing expert advice to help me understand my options.
Best bike shop I have ever worked with. (And I have shopped w many). I drive 1.5 hours to shop here. They have helped me with two bicycles purchased elsewhere. They secured a Trek seatpost for my new Madone free. The shop that sold me the bike was trying to charge me over $300. They secured a new Cannondale SuperSix Hi-Mod frame for a squeaky BB (long story). Highly recommend this shop. They have a customer for life. Cheers to them. Thank you.
I keep coming back to this shop for one reason, and thats the service that Lake and the shop team provide. They have been able to take care of many of my extremely specific and or abnormal requests for parts and or service on mountain bikes that your average customer probably doesnt have. I definitely recommend going here to get your bicycle serviced.
Atlanta Cycling has a great selection onsite and they can order something if they dont carry the color youre looking for. They have a friendly and incredibly helpful staff! I worked with Jan and she went above and beyond and provided an excellent customer experience. If youre in the Atlanta area and looking for a bike, Atlanta cycling is the place to go.
I was quite disappointed at this location today. I wanted to purchase a helmet, sunglasses, attire, pedals and a pair of shoes but I didnt spend my money here. The staff was inattentive, unprofessional (eating lunch while helping customers), and was not personable at all - did not spend time to learn about what my needs were to make personalized recommendations.Upon learning that the shoe I wanted wasnt in stock but available at Roswell, I jetted over to the Roswell store to find a world of difference - professional, courteous and highly attentive staff. I spend almost $1000 on everything I needed here. I will leave a good review for the Roswell location... I wont be returning to the Vinings location, and will exclusively drive out of my way to go to the Roswell store.
The staff has been exceptional in helping me with my current project of restoring a couple of vintage Schwinn bikes that I had allowed to fall into disrepair. As soon as this project is over, I hope to purchase at least one new up-to-date bike and, just from listening to other conversations in the store, think this would be the perfect place to buy it.
Great service! I was looking at bikes for months and Mikey always very helpful. When I finally decided to pull the trigger, the bike was not available so they searched around and found it for me. When I went to pick it up, they made sure everything was setup and fitted appropriately. Very happy with my purchase and the process!
Patrick has been extremely patient and helpful with getting me properly fitted and with choosing my purple flip Emonda ALR 5. He showed the same care months later with my grey Roscoe 8. The custom Industry Nine wheels on both bikes are awesome and turn heads at every ride! Thanks Atlanta Cycling Vinings! You guys rock!James
There really isnt anything else I can say that hasnt been discussed already. When it comes to service, selection, price, courteous and knowledgeable staff, and their ability to make you feel like family, there is no other shop I would consider. Regardless of whether youve been a guest for five minutes or five years, everyone treats you with the utmost consideration when determining the correct equipment to get you rolling. They never push over-the-top products and you never feel pressure to buy the latest and greatest. Atlanta Cycling is full of the real professionals, who will sit down and discuss your goals to get you on the right bike with the equipment in your comfort zone and in your budget. The repair shop is second to none in the southeast. They get the job done right, the first time, every time. Whether you need shift cables adjusted or a full-bike-rebuild, your bike will never ride as smooth and consistent as when you leave Atlanta Cycling. With that being said, dont waste your time going all around town looking for exceptional service and friendly, honest people. Just go to Atlanta Cycling.
I have visited this bike shop numerous times with my husband. Everyone who works here is extremely helpful and friendly. We never feel pressured to buy anything, although my husband makes purchases here regularly anyway. This shop offers a great selection of bikes, helmets, shoes, and pretty much everything you need to get set up to ride and all at reasonable prices. My husband has had several bikes serviced here, and the work is always very good. The technicians always take the time to talk with him so that he can make informed decisions about upgrades or modifications. We visited a few other nearby bike shops when we moved here about five years ago, and the service is not even close to what Atlanta Cycling offers. Go here!
Took a slightly bend front mtb 29in wheel in to see what my options were for fixing or replacing. Hub and spokes were not damaged, only the rim was slightly bent. The parts guy was rude and told me that I needed to replace the entire wheel, which was odd to me bc usually you just replace the rim. He said it was easier for them to just replace the entire wheel, didn’t make sense but I ask for a price on a replacement wheel. The guy knew this wheel was off a $1300 mtb therefore I didn’t need anything expensive. He then tells me the best He can do is $350 for a front wheel. He doesn’t even offer the brand of the wheel that he is suggested is my only option. You can buy front and rear wheel sets for $350!! He was clearly trying to rip me off. This happened on 7-25-20
I have gone to Atlanta Cycling a lot over the years and recently purchased a bicycle there. One thing I like about the store is that they cater to beginner cyclists and well as serious cyclists. You are welcome in the store any time whether youre merely thinking about someday riding a bike or have a stable of six different types of bikes. They treat all customers with respect. The staff members are happy to spend time to help you find what you need or service your bike properly. Any time I have had an issue with my bike, the staff worked with me till the problem was fixed, no questions asked.
Best bike shop in town! They understand the key element of good business and that is customer service! Every time Ive ever come into the shop, I am always greeted with a smile and a person who knows how to get me what I need or answer my question. This is a great group of guys/gals that you dont mind doing business with! JLW
I went for a front derailleur tune up and after doing the tune-up the mechanic mentioned the my bike needed some wheel truing. When I mentioned I do my own repairs the mechanic took me in the back and gave me some great pointers free of charge. These guys have the best customer service Ive seen at any bike shop anywhere!
I just purchased a 2018 Trek ALR 4 Disc from Atlanta Cycling Vinings and am really glad I did! The bike has a fantastic ride, very comfortable, agile, and smooth. I also benefited from the expertise of Mike W. He did an excellent job of explaining the features and benefits of this particular model and really did a super job of fitting me to a bike in my price range. If you are in the market for a bike I wholeheartedly recommend ACV and Mike W.
Just bought my first road bike. Shopped all around town and stalked Ebay for weeks. I could have saved myself a lot of time and energy by heading to this shop first. Don, Mike, Gary and the whole team took hours answering questions and ultimately fitting us ( My Wife and I ) for the wonderful bikes we purchased. No regrets, perfect purchase, perfect fit. Best service I have received in a long time. I cant recommend this shop strongly enough.
I rarely leave a review, good or bad, but Atlanta Cycling absolutely blew my expectations of customer service out of the water. They went above and beyond to make sure I was in the right bike. Their staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, and will work hard to make sure you get the best bike for your needs, within your budget. I can honestly not say enough about how impressed I am with them. Big shoutout to Jan, Michael, and Mikey for all the help. If you are new to biking in the Atlanta area, this is the place you want to go first.
This store is fantastic. I just rode RAIN, 160 Miles across indiana. This shop is the only shop that touches my bike. They checked it out before i rode. The man said it was RAIN READY Well, i was not worried about my bike mechanics, i did not have one problem. 113 riders did not finish and a majority of that was due to mechanical failure. Thank you Todd and your crew!
Very pleased with service and the bike I recently bought. Everyone I enteracted with at ATL Cycling was attentive and personable. I bought a bike in the middle of the pandemic and major bike shortage and still recieved it in a week and a half. Very please over all hince why this is the 4th bike my family has bought from them.
I can honestly say, going to Atlanta Cycling in Vinings was one of the best retail experiences Ive had. They are friendly and helpful every step of the way, from greeting you by opening the door, to helping you load your bike in the cars trunk.Jan was very friendly and pleasant to work with, providing great recommendations for biking trails as well as gear add ons for my bike.Looking forward to going back!
Ive been an Atlanta Cycling client for several years. The service, availability and knowledge of the staff, as well as inventory of bikes and accessories is excellent. I have recommended Atlanta Cycling to many friends and have always received positive feedback. As a full service shop, offering everything from custom fitting to service classes, to promoting and leading weekly group rides, Atlanta Cycling caters to cyclists of all ages and abilities. I could not be happier with the recent service and support I have received for the new bike purchased from Atlanta Cycling in 2012.
I rolled into Atlanta GA early Saturday and was happy for the opportunity to ride with a group. I didn’t know anyone in the group but quickly connected with a few of the riders. I started to experience some issues with my bike on the tail end of the ride, I took it to the shop when the ride ended. They looked at it right away, while that was happening I started talking soccer with some of the guys working there. Very friendly and helpful people.
I rode my mountain bike this weekend after repair and maintenance at the Atlanta Cycling Vinings location. The work was tested with a punishing ride and I am happy with the results. The service was excellent. Communication was good and straight-forward. There were no suggestions for repairs I did not need. I will return the next time my bike needs work.
I was ordering a bike from out of town , for my boyfriend who lives in Atlanta. I had a lot of questions to ask over the phone since I was not able to see the bikes before I picked out. Steve answered them all patiently, guided me on the choice of the bike and over saw the whole process closely. Fantastic service ! And we are happy with the bike :)
My cycling obsession started at Atlanta Cycling in 2008. Since then I have purchased two bikes for myself and one each for my wife and daughter (and countless cycling accessories). Great selection of equipment in the store. The service is top notch as well - they simply know cycling. And because the staff has such a long tenure at both their Atlanta locations, they get to know you and your riding style as well. That is a huge benefit when purchasing equipment. The key to enjoying riding your bike is to have your equipment fit properly. Mike W is the best bike fitter in Atlanta.Lastly - ATL Cycling does a tremendous job organizing and supporting group rides for all skill levels. Strong shop representation at each ride has built a core of riders that have been cycling together for years but always welcome new riders.Keep up the great work guys.
First off i am a long time customer of Atlanta cycles and have had great service in the past but after my last visit here i will never be doing business here again. I came to this store about 4 years ago looking for me and my wife a bike. mike was our sales guy and took very good care of us. he was patient and took good care of us. i ended up buying the bikes and a bunch of accessories. So now after 4 years me and my wife were looking to upgrade and also get my parents into the sport. So we drove the hour from our house and came to the place i had talked up all day to them about how great it was. when we walked into the store we were greeted by a young man that at first seamed nice. That niceness quickly faded the closer to closing time it got. He started getting short with us and getting mad when we would ask a question that was out of order from his sales pitch. towards the end we had a set picked out and were at the counter with cash in hand. i asked the young man if she could get a bottle holder thrown in because mike had done that for me years ago. his answer was no thats why mike was fired. i found out that mike was never fired and still helps out time to time there so that was a lie. Then he told us that if she came back next week when he had more time he would get her a deal on some accessories because he was about to leave. the last straw for me was when we were paying and he told my mother maybe come back when you dont have all three generations talking at once. after that we stated to exit the store no bikes and money in hand and he said in a sarcastic voice bye. that rubbed me a little wrong so i went back in and asked for a manager. As i was talking to the manager about our service the young man walked by several times making smart remarks without the manager saying anything. Atlanta cycles if you read this you have lost a 4 bike sale today and long time customer and many future customers from us. we own a car dealership & restaurant and take care of each customer like they are the only one we have. After leaving we made our way to Cycology Bike Shop in hiram ga. they took great care of us and we are now proud owners of Specialized Bikes
Def have to give Roman a big thumbs up. 👍🏾 Very knowledgeable and personable. Not pushy like lots of guys trying to get u to buy The most expensive bikes and gear. And def not snobby and rude like LOTS of bike Dealers I’ve visited. Took his time w me and let me demo multiple bikes Ended up buying a SWEET Cannondale SuperSix Black inc.
I have been going to this store for decades, that being said the service I have received during the COVID-19 episode has been short, unfriendly, and unappealing. I know there is a shortage of all things bicycle at this time but that will pass. Adopting the recent condescending attitude serves no one but yourself and will be remembered long after this has gone away. Cheer up and appreciate the people who choose your service and products.
What can I say that hasnt been said regarding the great selection, service and best mechanics in town. Regarding the naysayers- yeah, people do tend to remember your name when you buy bikes from them and take the time to get to know them through the process. And they get to know you too. That is what results in the terrific service. If youre price shopping theres always the Internet. But I hear its mechanics suck.
Broke my shift cable one evening during a ride. Called and spoke with Andre in service around 6:15pm about dropping it off to get worked in. Showed up at 6:30ish that evening as I only live 2 miles from their shop. And keep in mind they close at 7pm. Andre looked at it and said Oh, I can do it right now. Ok! I ride 3-5 days a week and the shop that previously serviced my bike would have had it for 3 to 4 days just to replace the cable. So, for him to do that so close to closing time (which I was not expecting) was a great surprise and excellent customer service!
I’m new to Atlanta and was looking for a group ride. This review is for the group rides Atlanta Cycling posts on their website but I’m afraid reflects poorly on the store.I read about a beginner ride group that went 11 to 18 miles from the Vinings store at 10:00 on Saturday. Showed up about 9:30 and didn’t find anyone that was a ride leader but was told that the 10:00 am ride was a 24 mike route that had some hills (1500ft elevation) and didn’t really have a leader or a sign-in sheet for a release. I was also told by people that although the ride is marked, there’s no one for a no-drop rider.I took a chance and finished, just barely, exhausted after what was more of a vigorous 22 mile ride that took almost two hours. Thankfully there were some occasional riders on the ride that waited up for me at several turns.I tried my best to look for a way to contact Atlanta Cycling’s website to let them know the information on the ride was inaccurate and that they should change it but after searching and not finding any contact us form I decided to post this review. If the website information is any indication of how well the store is run then I’d probably avoid it.I am an experienced cyclist but being new to the area and having skipped rides for a while I wanted to find a beginning group to get back into shape. Now I don’t trust any of the ride information Atlanta Cycling posts in their website and until there’s an update to the site I plan to avoid their rides. This is really unfortunate because many riders are real beginners and looking for a casual group to go with and some start to make the transition to longer and more vigorous rides. I had hoped Atlanta Cycling’s rides would be ones that I could participate in but thicken the lack of organization and inaccurate postings I don’t think I can.Other stores in the area run what’s called a “no-drop” ride where one rider agrees to go with the slowest rider no matter what and it’s a shame Atlanta Cycling doesn’t so this on their so-called beginner ride.Hopefully their website rides will be updated or someone in management will work to figure out why a beginner ride isn’t what actually takes place on Saturday at 10. If you are a beginner I’d recommend checking with the store.I had thought about going into the store after the ride to talk to someone but was a bit too frustrated to be objective.
My interactions with those at Atlanta Cycling have been nothing short of a pleasure. While my knowledge of bicycles and bicycling is elementary, at best, at no point did the experts make me feel as such. They were patient, kind, and interested only in fulfilling my requirements. When the time comes, I will return for another, more purpose-built bicycle. Until then, I will ride my Trek FX 2 to and from work with pride. Thank you, Atlanta Cycling!
It is not the cheapest bike shop in town but 100% what you leave there with in terms of product or service is second to none. I dont take my beater bike here but the bike I put the real miles onto does not go anywhere else. Bonus, if you buy your bike there you get tune ups.
I have always received great service at Atlanta Cycling Vinings but recently I needed some help re-gearing my MTB for some upcoming ultra endurance races in Colorado. Todd worked with to figure out the best solution which included calling Trek and Shimano for their advice. In a few days I had a new gearing setup that works fantastic! I really appreciate the personal attention that I receive from everyone at the shop.Keep up the GREAT work!
Im interested in getting a bicycle for exercise. Stopped in with my husband and we were provided with a wealth of helpful information regarding an appropriate bike to get started. I was fitted for a bike and took it out for a test ride. I will be purchasing a bike n the near future and Ill be back. Great service!
I used to be a customer, bought a bike here even. But when I brought in an outside bike (I brought when I moved to GA) they first gave me attitude for it. I spent years dealing with an under satisfying bike that they sold me, specifically the brakes, that they NEVER resolved. Ive since moved to a more appreciative store. I most recently brought in a custom built wheel, just the wheel and clearly not one of their stock-only options, with a flat I couldnt get the tire off to fix myself as I had the wrong tire levers for the job. Immediately got attitude from the mechanic about using a tube. I exclaimed I was tubeless, and still am on the front, but went through 4 tires in a month from side-wall gashes, and the response was Well if youd come to me about it Id do a better job because Im more experienced. ... REALLY??? Not sure if youre insulting me (20 years NorthShore/Whistler background) or my mechanic (who is actually nice to customers). I said, I gave up on tubeless because I kept gashing my sidewalls and got sick of buying new tires, four in the first month his reply there are better sealants out there than Stans ... really, will it stop me from gashing sidewalls every week? He just looked at me with discontent ... Then the more skilled mechanic returned the tire to me inflated to a asking for a pinch flat on a pebble 18psi.This shop is analogous to the all-employees-branded style of a Lexus dealership (not BMW/Audi/Tesla, only a Lexus), and god forbid you show up in your Jeep that can actually go off-road with a flat tire looking to be patched.Aside from the attitude, historically they would ONLY sell me Bontrager accessories (tires, cages, etc.). If you said Maxxis Minion to them theyd probably be trained to scoff at the idea of a brand other than what their low-quality / assuming high profit margin vendor sells them.If you like pretentious natures, dont care about actually quality and options. This is your store. But only if you buy a new bike every year. Repairs are the bottom of their priority list. Case in point, it took 8 weeks to repair my suspension because they had to send it away twice to supplement their skills (on my $3,000 Trek from them) in which time I found a new shop and bought a new $4,000 bike.
This is a place where it appears that everyone is working within their passion. Be prepared.... you’ll walk in knowing what you want, but they’ll sell you on what you need.....not a bad thing. Matt was working with 4-5 other customers while working with me, but when he was working with me I felt like I was his only customer.
I called the Vinings store to enquire about a tool I needed but was unfamiliar with. They had it in stock and when I went in it was already pulled and ready for me at the cash register. The associate made sure I knew how to use it during check out. Very helpful and friendly in store staff, plus the bonus of a giant good boi dog greeting customers around the store!
The best bike shop in Atlanta. They have the competitive race bikes us gear heads ride but family bikes as well. Top notch mechanics and the best bike fitter in town (Mike W.) Lots of great rides leave from the shop as well almost every day. Its a great place to meet and ride with the Atlanta cycling community.
Stopped in to look around. I was in the shop for under 10 minutes and had been asked 3 times if someone could help. And they were busy, yet they each checked on me. I finally asked a guy to answer a few questions. I told him I was from another state and probably was not a likely customer. He still treated as if I was going to be his lifetime customer. If I lived here I would look no further for a bike shop.
Bought my trek DS 8.4 here a couple years ago. Its a great bike still getting out on it weekly. They had a deal with any new bike purchases free tune ups for life which I thought was amazing. I no longer live in ATL but would recommend this to anyone living in the area.
Atlanta Cycling is the premier bike shop in the greater Atlanta area. Ive been an avid cyclist for many years, and AC has the best people, the top brands, and none of the snobby attitude! AC even helped me sell my old road bike on Ebay...and then fitted me with the best bike Ive ever ridden/owned. And best of all for me, they have the Vinings location near my work and the Ansley location by my home.
This shop has everything....great selection of bicycles, especially TREKs...friendly and knowledgeable sales people...a service department that can fix anything thats wrong with your bike ...large selection of cycling helmets, shoes, clothing, accessories and tools. You cant go wrong here!!
The only problem I have is the owners info isnt on the site so I can tell him/her what a great experience its been. I pulled up after hours thinking it was open a little later. They saw me and unlocked the door to let me drop off my bike, and the guy in the shop even offered to take a quick look to see if he could fix it then ... after hours! Tough to find employees like that, the owners should be proud.
Everyone is Friendly and Knowledgeable about the different products. Wether it’s a Mountian Bike or a Road Bike. I slipped in to look at Carbon Rims for my MTB and James discusses the Pro’s, Con’s and benefits of the carbon wheel set. He made the process simple and in the end sold me a great pair of rims at a great price!
A simple wheel alignment (truing the rim) that they have had done for free in the past was now $40. I get it that you need to charge something, but that is a 7 minute repair.. Also, they left the tires under inflated. Not that they needed to do it, but for $40? Maybe they would have cleaned the rim at least! Too expensive!!

2022-07-04I recently purchased a Trek FX3 hybrid bike from Atlanta Cycling and the overall experience was great. Prior to the purchase, I worked with two guys, Edward and Fred, who helped me decide the right bike for my riding style and equally as important, the right size. They listened carefully to what I was looking for, then asked questions and offered sound advice throughout the whole process. And not once did I feel any “pressure” to make a purchase. The ultimate decision was mine to make as it should be. I was also very impressed with the way other employees in the store pitched in to help with last minute details the day I got the bike. They put a high premium on teamwork. I just completed my first ride and the bike felt amazing. Just as it did during the many test rides I was allowed to take prior to purchasing it.

2022-05-21The staff was extremely helpful and patient. I feel completely comfortable with this location for questions, repairs, or additional purchases. I did not feel rushed as with other bike stores. I was fitted for my bike which was great. I definitely like the 30 day return especially Im fairly new to bike riding. Even though they have you test the bike on location its nothing like taking the bike for a nice ride to really get a good feel.

2022-02-07Atlanta Cycling Vinings made the process of buying a new bike easy and enjoyable. They are very knowledgeable and spent plenty of time with me in the decision process and made sure the basic fit was correct on test rides in the parking lot.The real time and fine-tune fitting occurred when I picked up the bike. Excellent job. Thanks Billy and Matt!

2022-02-24What ended up being a 30 minute visit at end of day for a rather involved multi-piece purchase, nearly all pieces of which I researched, but was not nailed down decision wise on, was made not only doable that evening but fun, engaging, and highly informative. Let it be known that the crew here is knowledgeable and approachable in such a way that anyone walking in with even 1% of an idea of what they want will guaranteed leave 100% satisfied. Also shout out to Lauren for asking me if this is my card (bike) and being right.

2022-06-21I had never been to a real cycling shop, but I was blown away by the customer service. Mike was very attentive in helping me and my girlfriend pick out new bikes for two trail riding newbies. He helped us pick out the right size bike for each of us and went over which bike would best meet our needs according to our novice skill level. Their techs in the back made sure our bikes were tuned up before heading out the door and Mike was also nice enough to build the car rack and put it on our car. Overall, it was a flawless experience. We previously thought about getting our bikes from Academy, DSG, or Walmart, but Im very happy we decided to go with Atlanta Cycling-Vinings location. If you are debating what bike to get or where to get it from, even if you dont get a bike from AC, at least ride by and talk to the staff and they will get you headed in the right direction.

2021-09-15Friendly and helpful staff, highly recommend you check out this store out. I was assisted by Lauren (she is a Pro) with the sale. Also Billy was super helpful with additional information on the bike that I finally decided to purchase. Both Lauren and Billy are super knowledgeable about mountain bikes.

2022-04-28We walked out of there and my 10 year old son said “Wow! EVERYONE was so nice in there!” I agree with him! It was refreshing to be at a place of business and everyone was so friendly and helpful! Also, we had no problem finding what we wanted in stock which was fantastic!

2022-06-14Ive been riding bicycles whole life so I know when there is a problem. I took my bicycle to another location first. I tell the guy my issue. He puts it on the stand runs through the gears and tells me its fine. I take him at his word and leave. However the problem still persist. Thank God this bike shop has 6 locations. I took it to the Vinings location. I explained to Andre the problem and what the other guy did. I insisted he take it for a ride so he does. He comes back and agrees there was a issue. He also agreed that the free wheel had too much play in it. He takes it in the back. He comes back and tells me there was a issue with the sealed bearing case in the free wheel. He ordered a whole new wheel and will call me to install it.

2022-04-11Staff is extremely knowledgeable of their products. Vast variety of bikes to meet any experience and budget. Very pleased with my purchase.
