The waiter was terrific, however the 28.00 ribeye was horrible. The char on it was bitter and unpleasant even though it was cooked to the correct temp of medium-rare. The side of mac and cheese was good. I hope they will correct this problem because it was a great cut of meat.
I ordered the lemon pepper wings this was my first visit. You could tell it had been very crowded I attended a birthday party I arrived really late but but the people in party Said they have been waiting an hour to be seated. They waited additional time for everyone orders to be taken. They said theyll arrived at 6:00 p.m. to secure a table. I arrived at 8:45 pm. Thinking everyone would have been through with their meals but orders had just been placed. The crowd had thinned out. My lemon pepper wings were okay. A of the people in the party had issues with their food. One baked potato was black inside. When our friend showed it to the waitress she act like she couldnt see it and copped an attitude. My friend opened up the potato to show the young lady and she began to go back and forth with our friend and then said okay calm down when our friend was perfectly calm our friends spoke in a low voice and did not get loud or ugly with the waitress. Our friend also ordered this huge sandwich. She said the sandwich was dry bread was hard as a rock. The other young lady ordered some type of brussel sprout and was very excited to try it. She said that it was very bitter awful and someone just threw it together. We pressed on to celebrate our dear friends birthday. Everyones food looked really great so I definitely will return to try some other dishes.
The kitchen sink oysters will make you slap your mama lol. I enjoyed everything. Nice setting great outdoor seating our waitress was very helpful too will definitely be back.
Austin’s is a great place for a gathering with friends and family. Place seems pretty kid friendly. The setting was pretty cozy. I ordered the ribs. They were tender. My sides were Brussels sprouts which were pretty good. The okra was much to brag about. My rum runner drink was a little too much juice and not enough rum. Pretty disappointing. But the service was great. The server was very attentive.
The food and server was great👌🏾but I dont know if they were short of help or what. My wife and I waited on our food for very long time. Other than that 👌🏾
This isnt the cozy romantic date sort of place, more the, lets get some good food and grab a couple beers sort of place. I had the Kicken Chicken sandwich with Sweet Chili sauce. It was very good. The seasoned fries had just enough seasoning. Our server was good too. One of my co-workers food came out later then the others but it looked good.
We got wings, ribeye steak, and chicken sandwich. Everything was good and then we got the skillet cookie for dessert and it was delicious! I would definitely go back and eat there again when I’m in town.
We went here for a birthday brunch for my mother, but they werent able to accommodate for a party of 25. I was very disappointed because they werent that crowded

Visited here with a friend who had dined here before on several occasions. What a wonderful experience. I had some sweet and spicy Asian wings and they were delicious. My friends tried the Ahi tuna tacos and they looked out of this world. Everyone was more than pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. We Will be back!

We decided to give this place a try on a rainy Sunday evening. When we arrived , my fiance and I ended up waiting a few minutes to be seated. No problem we were seated near the door by our hostess who was friendly enough, she also took our drink order and said our waitress would be along shortly. Upon returning she apologized because I ordered coke and they only serve Pepsi products and she delivered me a Pepsi. After about ten minutes or so our waitress made her way to our table apologetily, apparently they were having billing issues with a party. She took our order and we received our food in reasonable time. We started with the Greek oysters and the fire grilled oyster and our main course was the flat iron tacos. The oysters were good and reasonable I think since no one really knew the price.....(Im writing this as we await our bill) We finished with a dozen dog island oysters ...they were good but of the three oyster types we tried we agreed the fire grilled were the best. The oysters were good size, the hot sauce selection was sub par (Tabasco and Crystals). The atmosphere was good, truely the most devasting thing for Austins was the service, friendly yes, but slow and disorganized in my opinion. Would I eat here again yes ....b bu t I would be better prepared for the wait.... (still waiting for my bill). Five star food with three star service..... Got my bill finally 74 bucks tax tag and fees not too bad, just need better service...well more organized service..
Great menu. Whether you like beef, pork, chicken or fish- they have you covered. Diverse recipes, great portions, and fabulous staff.
I ordered the creole shrimps today and they was horrible, the smell was rotten and the taste would make you sick to the stomach.This has never happen before.We wont be ordering that no time soon.
If youre looking for a local vibe this is the spot. Theres a variety of different meals and unique flavors that you can only find here. I love that they have weekly specials and enjoyed every bit of wing Wednesday. Service was a little slow but we did visit during peak hours after all. The atmosphere was cozy.

My daughter ordered ahead for the lemon pepper and the house special wings. As we drove up the young man came right out which is great service. Everyone seemed to like the wings so I would recommend eating here.

We Had the cheese fries w/bacon and brisket, oysters, st. Louis ribs, brisket and chicken. All where delicious. Service is slow. But food is good.

Thanks to Google Maps we found this restaurant. We travel with our dog Peaches (we found her in Albany, GA on Rte 133 near a peach orchard) so we always call ahead to ask if a restaurant has outside seating that allows dogs.Thank GOD they did!! The oysters were the biggest and best I have ever had😊❤️.The bar-b-q was delicious. The beer and wine selection was really good.Our waitress, Peyton was an absolute doll!!I share the picture of the oysters after I ate them. Sorry but they were so good I forgot to take the pic before I devoured them!!
The kitchen sink oysters were amazing! Loved the signature wings, Cobb salad and smothered fries as well. It was a bit pricey but it was definitely enjoyable.
We were there for 15 minutes and no one ever checked on us so we walked out. Big mistake, as we come from one of the finest restaurants in Albany and we were very disappointed. We went to Nothing Fancy, Thanks, Katherine! By the way she is over 15 miles away but worth it! My suggestion is get a head waitress and a good hostess! Training is the KEY!
The hostess, we found out her name was Emilie, was AMAZING!! She got my boyfriend and I sat down quickly and had amazing customer service! Will be coming back!
Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted and ask if we would like to sit on the patio or inside. We choose the patio ( not only was it offered as an option but it also felt pretty nice outdoors). Upon being seated we noticed they had the heaters on and ask if we could sit by one. Not for sure if it was the hostess or a server that stated we could sit at a different table to accommodate us. Not only did we sit at the table for more then 15 mins with no interaction whatsoever. When i went to ask was someone going to come take care of us, the hostess replied oh let me go find someone. After waiting another 10 mins someone finally came over. During the wait 2 other tables had been seated and greeted by the server. Not to mention both the tables received drinks and food before we did. When asked to speak with someone about such a long wait. We were told someone would be over. No one ever showed. Oh did i mention, there were only 2 tables seated on the patio when we arrived. And multiple workers passed by our table During the almost 30 min we waited to be served and didnt even acknowledge we were there nor asked if we had been taking care of. This indicates that there is little to no teamwork. Once we realized no one was coming over to speak with us. We gladly paid our $123 bill and boxed up the cold food we were served and left the building. I will most definitely not be returning, nor will i recommend this establishment to anyone.
It was a long wait to be seated even though there were tons of empty tables. They might have been reserved so I dont hold it against them. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. You could tell he was smiling even with his mask on. The raw oysters were the best Id had in two months and the steak was done to perfection. They were out of mashed potatoes, but it was a busy night and they had plenty of delicious sounding sides too close from. The service and meal we got was worth the wait.

Pick two, pulled pork anf beef brisket, was amazing. Super smoke flavor! Generous portions of it all. Cowboy beans are worth the drive. Service also very good. No doubt...im returning with family. Great job staff!!!

Recently visited this restaurant for the first time with family while visiting Albany, GA. This restaurant has a large menu with great food. Definitely recommend you visit. The waitresses were outstanding although their staff was a little short handed.
I really like this place. Some friends were in town for a classmates memorial service. The staff went out of their way to make our get together as pleasant as possible. The food was delicious and the service was great 👍
I really wish I could give this place 5 stars but I cant. Food was amazing, service was great BUT nothing on the menu is priced right. Everything we ordered was 5+ dollars more than what the menu stated and we didnt know until we started ordering. Makes it extremely hard for those who go out on a budget and them BAM you check total is almost 30 bucks more than what you had all discussed while planning to rider. This needs to be fixed asap

Whent to this place after reading reviews. But still wanted to try since i was driving and only doing overnight and wanted oyster. Lets just say staff was rude. Waited patiently for over 15 minutes to even be acknowledged. NOPE!! watch regulars come in and they were helped immediately. I finally asked for a drink. Asked both bartender and a waitresses. Nope. Watched staff bring food and drinks to regular. After 30 minutes i just left. I see why they got reviews they get. Staff is horrible. Will not go back!!
The food is good as usual. In the past month they didnt have enough help. We went tonight, and got seated with no wait. The server we had Donna did an excellent job.
Oysters were great! Fried pickles little on the over cooked side but still decent. Grouper bites are to die for! Steak was awesome! Service wasnt great but ok. Had to wait for drinks and didnt get the broccoli on one plate. over all good time!

Ive worked in the food service industry for 20+ years. So, I know most restaurants have a pretty slow time for a couple hours each weekday between 2-4 PM when the lunch crowd has gone back to work & the dinner rush hasnt started yet. We planned our trip here for 3 PM thinking that would be the slowest time where we could get the best food & service. Evidently a whole bunch of other people had the same idea. During our hour+ in the restaurant, there was probably 4x the amount of people we expected. Our waitress was running from one side of the restaurant to the other, outside, & back inside in a continuous loop. Guess the restaurant themselves didnt think theyd be busy at that time or thered have been more employees on duty. I dont know for sure, but I assume the kitchen was as understaffed as the dining area. As a result, the bread for all of our sandwiches was overcooked. Ive been there and done that running from one side of the kitchen to the other leaving bread to toast a little too long since you cant just stand there & man one station. The food wasnt quite up to oar, but Ill give them a free pass on this one. I need to go back again when its less busy or better staffed. Even though the meal was less than stellar, I still cant give them a low score because I know how hard the few employees there were working.
Came with a dinner party. Manager was very rude. Told one of the guests that complained about their food being nasty to “Take it home to someone else who will like it”. I’m not sure why customer service is lacking right now but this wasn’t the best way to handle it l.
Appetizer was delicious but chicken was over peppered and very spicy with no flavor. The bland Mac and cheese evened out the spicy chicken. Sweet potato fries were very delicious would go back for those and fried mozzarella.
Maybe I came on a bad day and time because it was terrible from start to finish! My party of 4, looked at a dirty table across from us the entire meal! Surprisingly, they have scored a 100 for food inspection but must be paying the inspector because my lettuce was welted and tomatoes were warm on my sandwich, the ice in my oysters tray was practically ice water, and my alcoholic beverage was a joke. Chicken wings were greasy and prices did not match the service or food. I’m honestly offended this place is open! 😡

This is our second time coming here, we put our name down for 2 told us the wait was about 30 mins, more people came after us & we waited patiently until we seen 2 groups that came after us get seated before us. We asked the two host what happen & they said the General Manager gave our table away so we ended up waiting for an hour to be seated. Once we got seated our waitress Kamryn P, didnt help with the poor service we were given. She made us feel like we had to hurry up and eat because she wasnt welcoming at all. She only checked on our table once and that was when she brought us our food. The service here is poor from when we stepped in to when we left not Even a have a great night, thank you for coming ... We will not be giving them our hard earn money again.
Austin’s is one of my favorite places in town to eat. Great food and generally great service.If you read a review about poor service, check the date. In the late spring and early summer of 2021, our area was experiencing a severe labor shortage.
Consistently good food. On my last visit I had fried mushrooms as an appetizer; which were so perfectly breaded and fried it was like eating fried oysters! For my entree I had wings which were crispy and flavorful; not a soggy drowning mess like most wings elsewhere in Albany.
The weather was perfect for dining on the patio. There is no smoking when the plastic is down, and I wish that would be enforced. The grouper bites appetizer was SUPER SMALL, so I would avoid. Otherwise, I had a wonderful time. Service was great, and everything tasted wonderful.
Me and my wife arrived about an hour and half before closing. It wasnt real busy it took 20 minutes to get our teas. They were out of everything we originally wanted. The steaks we ended up ordering were poorly seasoned if any at all. The sides were barely warm. 75% of the time I was without beverage. The server seemed preoccupied with closing. Giving 2 stars for now will visit again in a couple weeks to see if we just had bad luck.
Austins BOGO wing Wednesday is very popular. However, they have rendered it a worthless experience by making it to where you can only have 1 flavor, raised the price, and lessened the amount of wings you get. I paid $17+ dollars for 14 wings. It used to be $15+ for about 18 wings. Understanding the current state of the economy, the price increase is a given. But, an increase in price, and reduction on amount of product sucks!! Do better!
The food was OK but our waitress Miranda was very rude. She acted like it was a problem to do anything for us. When we asked her if there was bread to dip are oysters and she told me that she didn’t have any bread. And when my boyfriend asked if his soup was on the way she responded “sure”. The entire interaction was very uncomfortable and we could tell that she did not want to do her job at all. Miranda gets a -11 for customer service.
Only been here twice but I still cant get over the fact that a place in Albany has good food, good service and a clean restaurant.I can see how its pricey to some but you usually get your moneys worth. An order of fried pickles easily feds a table of 4-6 people. Something that I didnt know as a 2 person party. Lol. Love the shrimp poboy and their remoulade sauce is excellent.First time around, service was decent but nothing great, second time around, our waitress was amazing even if she felt that she kept forgetting her, but it was 3-4pm.on a Friday and she was running tables. We got it. She waited on me, my brother, my boyfriend and my grandmother just fine. Better than fine. Will be back.

The “bestest” part of my dinner was a delicious tropical cocktail that made me feel I was actually sitting on the beach with my toes in the sand! Awesome libations mixed up by my favorite bartender, Dana!

My roommate and I stopped in for lunch today. We walked in waited a minute two for a hostess to come up front and seat us. We chose the patio. We waited over ten minutes and no one came to get a drink order or even acknowledge that we were there. As this wasnt the first time that I have had to wait a ridiculously long time for service to begin, I chose to leave. As we walked through the restaurant to leave the hostess that seated us says have a wonderful day! She didnt even recognize us as the people she had seated less than twenty minutes earlier. I will not return.
First time eating here. I ordered the oyster Rockefeller and it was delicious. I will be going back there today. For my main dish I ordered the grilled grouper and it was cook perfectly.
FIRST IMPRESSION IS A LASTING IMPRESSION UNTIL ITS NOT..This was my 1st visit to this establishment, was greeted immediately and seated outside per my request. My sister and I sat waiting for our server to greet us, after sitting for about 10 minutes and now swatting bugs this very nice server came out and asked if we had been greeted. She said our server was busy with a large party and she would get our drinks, she proceeded with offering to move us inside because she notice us swatting bugs, she got a table clean and brought us inside ( our original server never acknowledged us so we asked Jana Hughes ( the nice one ) to continue to wait on us, we are well into 20 min now ( forgot to mention she took our drink and food order to help the other server). It took our order 30 minutes to come to the table ( at an hour now) my sisters food was not right , she ordered shrimp and grits, only got 2 shrimp...Jana took it back brought it back said the manager said it was 4 shrimp but he would send more.( so he Dug in my sisters food instead re cooking it.....) NOT HAPPY!!!. I sent it back not before my sister stirred it to find some foreign something in it at this point Jana agreed and took it back. I asked for the manager to visit our table only to be informed it was the GM and he was working the line???? Really, he could not come to our table but would comp the shrimp and grits entrees...NOT HAPPY!!!SITTING THERE I OBSERVED NOT ONE NOT TWO BUT THREE TABLE not being taken care of, grant it the food is good the service and customer service sucks ,the lack of management concern for the satisfaction of the guest has made me decide this will not be a restaurant I will patronize when Im back in town. Unfortunate for great servers like Hana Hughes who showed compassion, empathy, and concern.

Ordered chicken salad sandwich on wheat croissant! This sandwich is one of the best!! Chicken salad taste like fresh, home-made salad and croissant has just the right amount of crispiness...umm, umm good!!
Filet mignon and shrimp was okay. Coleslaw was room temperature (did not eat). Service was slow and disorganized. Some food items with cold toppings came out and lettuce wilted along with tomatoes due to sitting under a get warmer. Gave it a try...
Chicken salad not prepared as described on menu. MISSING grapes also 2 choices of bread at no added cost, until I got bill, then they added $1, service was ok. Had to ask for water refill....
The food was cold and under cooked. The server was clearly too busy to care. Ive heard good things about this place but they were way off tonight. It was so bad that I wont ever be back but Im hoping for future guests that I just had some bad luck and they had an off night.
The food is excellent in every fashion! Steaks are done to the perfect temp everytime so far. Apps and oysters are amazing! I will say that 95% of time I have been service has been awesome and as a past server myself, I am very critical. I will say though that because the owner does try to help out the local community, he hires a fair share of teenagers which can kind of bottleneck the service factor. Im ok with that though because I know what its like to be young and have to have a job. The only this review is a four star is because a few times I have been the service was not so great. Tonight though has restored my opinion on the servers in the Albany area, as Meghan and Jason (in the bar section) were absolutely phenomenal!!! Thank you so much guys for the great service!
Spring Salad wasnt edible. Had the consistency of a wet rag. It shouldve had a sweet and tart taste. It was terrible. Sent it back, didnt order anything else. The waitress was very nice and always checked back on us to see if we needed anything. $48 for 3 people at lunch is ridiculous.

Rarely do I give 5 stars for a review. This place kicked it. I had the shrimp and grits....best in the business. Authentic Cajun flavor with a hint of creole. Service was second to none and cant wait to go back. Well done Austins.
Service was not good at all the waitress was not friendly and the food was not up to par today. We werent offered carryout bags for our food, not sure what was going on but the lady at the register on the way out was very friendly. She said she would not have let us left carry all food in our hand. Not sure of what was going on today, but no stars for the customer service or the food.
The food was okay. My sides,not sure they were fresh. I ordered a grilled fish entree and received a blackened fish entree. It was fine, but not the best Ive had and I would not pay $26 for that meal again. Service was extremely poor. We were served our meals before we were given our silverware. Ordering took forever. I dont think I will go back again.
Ordered the steak special last night. I asked for extra butter with my baked potato and was told I would be charged .50 for every extra because it only comes with 1. My granddaughter wanted the pick 2 combo of pulled pork and ribs they dont have ribs she said. She said they wont have any until the price comes down, supplier wants too much for them. Sugar must be too high too, sweet tea was lacking the sweet ! Waitress was mad because another waitress had gotten our drink order and we were the attitude prize winners.....bad night at the Firegrill !!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Albany, Georgia. It is especially nice as it has an exterior section that is very enjoyable on a nice day. They provide great libations and delicious steaks, shrimp and chicken dishes to die for.
Had dinner there last night. The food was awful! Its so inconsistent! You never know if its going to be good or terrible. Two people in our party had the grouper, both fried and grilled, and it had the consistency of a pork chop. I had tuna tacos, which has always been delicious, but not last night. The tuna was overcooked, dry and rubbery-it was a gray color I have never seen. The spinach was so salty, like an entire box of salt fell into my portions. One of our party didnt get served her food until we were almost done eating. No staff or manager stopped by our table to ask about the food, so we paid the check and decided to never return. Im sad that the quality of food here has devolved so. It should be a great restaurant. But for the 7 of us, we will not return.

There is a nice variety to choose from on the menu. It is great place to catch a game or, weather permitting, sit outside to hear a live band on occasion. In season, the oyster options are plentiful and also delicious! The sandwiches are prepared to your liking and numerous entrees are also available. Give it a try and you wont be disappointed!
Not sure whats going on but our meals were NOT good. The one star is for the mushrooms and pickles bc they were served at the correct temperature. Our flat iron steaks were just out right nasty and cold! Over priced for the quality!!! Please get this placed fixed before it turns into another locally owned has been establishment. UPDATE: WE WENT BACK! Unfortunately, its still bad! Makes me wonder why the kitchen area is no longer visible from the dining area. Yall HAD a gem with your restaurant but unfortunately its just bad from the lack of customer service to the lack of taste in the room temperature food.
A great local joint for good drinks and great food. They have a varied menu from fire grilled tacos, to pork tenderloin, to shrimp and grits.
Not good, had a large party and it was to much for them! No one was able to eat with the person next to them. They got the orders wrong! We waited 1.5 hrs on a salad! They would walk out and ask who got this dish? Didnt have a clue who ordered what. Needless to say it was a birthday dinner from hell. Last thing, the manager didnt even come and apologize!
The food is great service sucks! Alot of racial tension. You have to be seated but there is no actual host, so u could just be standing there looking around while waitresses and waiters pass u right on by. I give them 3 because of the food quality but my service means a lot. So the last 2 times I resorted strictly to placing an order to go so I dont have to write off another restaurant.

First I would like to Thank the Young Man who took the time out to give me a menu, because no one else greeted me. I got the Crab Cake Sandwich with Seasoned Fries. The Crab Cake was delicious. The Seasoned Fries looked good, but tasted like hard salty two days old leftovers that should have never been served.

We waited to be seated a long time. They were not busy. No one even greeted us. When we finally sat we waited a long time to be greeted by a server. When we finally were able to order drinks, mine was wrong and my husbands never came. I cannot comment on the food but considering the prices I would expect the service to be great we cancelled and left after wasting 45 minutes. I repeat they were not busy. We came from out if town and will not return.
Food and service was great. A tip was added to my check without my knowledge so I tipped twice, otherwise it would be a 5 star review.
Have eaten at Austins many times and typically very satisfied. Ordered through Waitr. Ordered turkey reuben and got corned beef. Sandwich was not made well either. Bread was hard and sauce was nearly non-existent. To go orders should be made as well as food served in the restaurant.
Steak I wanted to order was told was now 35 percent more. Then ordered a bake potato that was so colc I couldnt get bitter to melt. Ordered a hamburger was rubbery and tasteless. All around bad bad food. Server was very attentive and very nice though .
Still trying to figure out where the 4 stars came from? Went here last night & Im not sure which was worse.. The food, the cocktail, or the service?? Pretty much everything that was given to our table was plopped down on it. Ive never tasted a BBQ sauce that I didnt like, until last night. The only thing I finished was my fries. I had to stop at the convenience store to get snacks afterwards bc i was still hungry.
My first visit here and we really had a good time, service was a tad slow, the food was good. I had the wings they could have been cooked a litlle longer but they were good.My friend had a burger he said was pretty good. All in all everything was good.
I ordered the Brisket with Fried Okra and Baked Sweet Potato. The potato was sadly the best part of the dish. The brisket was dry and cooked to leather and the fried okra was soggy. Won’t come back. Over priced for marginal food. Our waitress was good but food was terrible.
My family and I ate here a couple of months ago for dinner. They were very busy when we arrived, so we had to wait on a table. Elvis was our waiter and he was one of the best waiters we have had in a while. We had the oysters Rockefeller and they were wonderful. I also had a wonderful salad. We all enjoyed our fresh tasting food. We will definitely go back again soon!

The waitress is good. The appetizers is fresh . But when it comes to our food we order. It was poor. We wait for 45 minuets to bring it out . The plate is hot but the food is not fresh cause it’s been seating on side counter wait for the rest of the food to come out . The last food that comes out in our group is fresh one. The rest is just hot plate . I was watching from my seat how this men put all the order together of the group aside. .
First impressions are sometimes the best.Clean and comfortable dine in restaurant. Our server Devin was on point. He gave details about entrees that you preferred. I went with one of his suggestions and was very pleased. Awesome place for good service and good food!
So what a great way to start off my new year!The shrimp and grits were excellent! The prices not two bad either I got a cocktail and my husband got the brisket and bbq not to bad for 40.00.our server Ashley was amazing will definitely be returning!
Was expecting really great food and service. Received the opposite. I couldnt even eat my steak that was rather over priced. My chips were fried in the same oil as their sea food and it had a greasy fish taste. Our waitress was impatient and didnt seem to care that we were there. Dont plan on eating there again.
This was our first and only experience at this restaurant. The service was LOUSY. There seemed to be about 20 people “working” but not too many actually doing anything. Our waitress walked by countless times without taking our order or refilling our drinks. Two of the three entrees were raw when we ordered well done and the coleslaw tasted soured. It’s too bad because it seems like it could be a good restaurant if they’d get their staff to pay attention to the patrons. While waiting for our own service I had time to watch others also being ignored. All it takes is a smile and “I’ll be right with you”.

After I called in reservations 4 days earlier. Party of 10. Got there, it never got transferred from the phone call message to the books! Waited 45 minutes for accommodations. PS, this is one of those locations that already puts on a gratuity when you have a party of 8 or more. Be careful and dont double tip like I did. Especially when we have to go up and get our own silverware, napkins, etc. People were nice, food was excellent. But they are not prepared for large crowds.
Enjoyed our visit there for dinner last night. Quickly seated outside on the patio. Ordered drinks and oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer. Delicious. We both had the Filet Mignon and it was just as delicious. Great service!
Nice atmosphere, but the food is not worth the pricing. Especially the Kicken Chicken sandwich. I could have gotten a similar experience from pouring salt in my mouth from the table. The cocktail listing doesnt show prices and the dining room is cramped.
Service -10 one server that seemed to have every table, food was blah, took forever and didnt even get everything at same time. I wont be recommending this place to anyone

Im right now at Austins. I love the beer from a local brewer, Pretoria brewing, awesome beer. I love local, craft beer. The food was excellent. The portion a bit too big for me. Our server Chelsea, was very knowledgeable of the local beer and food and very attentive. Will definitely come back next time Im in Albany.
The best buffalo chicken tacos I could’ve ever asked for. Avry is the best bartender. So sweet, wholesome, and knowledgeable.Amazing service, great atmosphere, got to know other people while at the bar.Overall, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
Austins was recommended to us by the front desk clerk at the Fairfield. We are very glad we took her recommendation. Service was fantastic. The wait staff was very friendly. Food was cooked to perfection. The menu is short and sweet. A little bit of everything. There were a few meals that I thought were over priced. However, after seeing the portions and quality of the food I understood a bit more. Check it out!

Always fresh and delicious, and the owners really care about their customers! My son has severe dairy, egg, and peanut allergies which make eating out almost impossible, but I was assured that they could and would alter anything possible to make it safe for him! 10/10 will be back!
I hated this experience. The waiter we had was rude and kept skipping our table to service other people. He kept taking smoke breaks and after 30 mins finally took our order and it wasnt even busy. Asked for another server and the supervisor basically told us to suck it up or leave as if we werent good enough. Spoke with the owner and I feel he didnt really care because we werent important enough. I really want to support local businesses but not this one. If anyone ask where they should eat I would rather send them to a fast food joint at least they would get decent customer service.
If you order a cheeseburger all the way, you would expect it to be that way. no mayo, no mustard, no ketchup, and ordered it medium rare and it came burnt. Ill go some where else for a good burger.
I had a group of three people try this place around 6:30 pm on 5/12/17. We arrive and are told by the hostess that we can wait for 20 minutes or more or sit on the deck. We elect to sit on the deck (big mistake). Issue #1: We were seated at a tall table and the top kept swaying back and forth. Issue #2: There were 2 dinky fans and a cooling machine that didnt blow cold air along with nothing to keep the bugs at bay. Issue #3: We wait over 10 minutes to have someone to take our drink orders and that doesnt happen until I have to go inside to tell someone we havent been waited on and that the 2 tables beside us that got there AFTER us were being waited on before us. Issue #4: While we are waiting the Male MANAGER comes outside and yells and gets a very obvious attitude with two waitress that clearly did nothing wrong. Issue #5: The rude Manager then sends one of the waitress to wait on the table beside us that got there AFTER us (what an idiot, i was embarrassed for her). Issue #6: My raw oysters were so disgusting that i could not eat them (i have eaten a lot of oysters from a lot of different places and never had i not been able to eat raw oysters. Issue #6 I didnt get my oysters until after my two dinner guests had eaten their dinner Issue #7: our waitress was sweet but not very attentive. Issue #8: the hostess didnt greet us or the guests after us when we came in. NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WONT BE GOING BACK. Also, the Manager needs to be fired because according to employees he is rude and gets an attitude with them A LOT which is wrong.
My husband and I went for the oysters, and we were not disappointed. We ordered raw, rockafellar, and Greek. They were all great. We also ordered their teriyaki/lemon pepper wings,buffalo chips, and creole peel and eat shrimp. All great choices!We sat on the patio. The live music was really nice and not too loud. People were friendly. It was overall a great atmosphere. It was a busy night, and our waitress had her hands full. She was sweet, helpful, and efficient. She was also patient and kind when we had technical difficulties lol. We will go back for the food and service.

The service was sub-par. Appetizers took 20 minutes. Then one of them was incorrect. Another twenty minutes later.... Replacement! Over an hour later, we requested manager because entree was not at the table.... Manager had an attitude and did not offer any apologies or comps.... Atmosphere and food is decent... I would not reco this place to anyone!
I had a excellent experience at Austins Firegrill. Our waiter Chris was awesome very attentive, knowledgeable of the menu and specials. We had the Rib special, and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The meat was literally falling off the bone. Definitely family friendly, nice updated music. We really enjoyed it.

Some of our food was cold some of it was excellent. They gave us free drinks because of the waiting. We got there at 5:45 p.m. I didnt leave till 7:38 p.m. And wasnt because we enjoyed Ambiance. They had a guy with a guitar singing and his guitar cases with covered with profanity. The waitress was really nice however an apologized. Just wish we had went to Blackbeards LOL

The wait times are probably the only bad thing you may experience when visiting Austins. Food is excellent and exactly what is ordered. Staff has always been friendly, tentative and quick to fix anything that isnt to your liking. Buffalo chips are where its at and their wings are top notch!
Shrimp banging tacos were great. Shrimp and grits were also very good. Service was also very good.
Well, the only thing we have tried is the shrimp and grits but they are wonderful! So I cant comment on any of the other menu items. Also, we got lucky and went on a beautiful day and we were able to comfortably sit outside with no waiting and we had a friendly efficient waitress so it was just a nice experience over all.
I am usually not the biggest fan of oysters and catfish but I found them both amazing. Would definitely come out again and eat here

Great place to eat and get a cold drink. They have great food and deserts as well. Best Rockefeller Oysters in the area! A must try if youve never been. And hey, if youre having trouble with your service while your eating there, speak up for Petes sake! The owner is on site mostly every night and Im sure he will get things straightened out very quickly for you. One thing is for sure, complaining on here isnt gonna keep your tea glass full or a fresh cold beer sitting in front of ya! And dont let one mishap of not getting your tea refilled stop ya from going back either. Folks, give Austins Fire Grill a try, Im sure youll love em!
The food is usually good. I got two drinks is there and they both were good as well. However, the day I went my company and I were rushed off of the patio because they sat us down and completely forgot they were hosting a party that afternoon. So in the midst of being rushed, gathering up my child, and packing to go plates, OH YEAH and generously tipping my waiter I forgot my card as it was never brought back to me. Forgetting my card was no biggie cause I could always come back and get it. Unfortunately, instead of an Austin’s employee reaching out to me to let me know I forgot my card or turning my card into management I checked my billing statement and saw that the same day someone was making big purchases on my card. I went back in to Austin’s the next day to talk to management and everyone was unprofessional and unapologetic about it. I asked if we could view cameras so that I can see who had my card so I could properly press charges and the manager lied and said the cameras did not work. It’s a shame you can’t even trust your own waitresses
Our food was a bit late coming out.after and 30min wait to be seated. Our food took forever about an hour to be exact.But it tax season and I understand they were a little busy then normal. Food was great thought..
The food was delicious. Had the pulled pork sandwich and the shrimp po boy also the hot wings were 🔥 great. Will definitely be returning. Service was good too.

Ive have been to Austins bar and grill multiple times and the service has been absolutely the worst Ive ever had. Ive had to walk out because I sat there waiting on a waitress for 30 mins to come take my drink order. The time before last, I waited 30 mins for a waitress, I ended up having to find someone to come take our orders. Then we sat there for an hour and a half waiting on the food. Very, very sad. It use to be a great place to eat but my god, its gone down hill.
I ordered shrimp and grits meal. It was not good because the grits were lumpy, as if they were reheated old grits. It tasted bland. My husband ordered the steak medium well, but he stated it was dry. But, it was a pleasant atmosphere.
We went to celebrate a special occasion. I had a mixed greens salad with tuna. My friends had the bacon wrapped shrimp and steak. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Delicious!
I would give 5 stars.. But!!! They overcharged for 2 mixed drinks By 12 dollars. Yes Ive ordered the drinks there many times before.. They only took 4 dollars of the bill.. I liked this place, very very disappointed
First visit, menu not easy to follow. Very few healthy options besides salad. Didnt offer green beans. Late receiving food. Guest ordered shrimp & grits & the grits were uncooked dry flakes in the center. The grilled chicken breasts were delicious!
Excellent hand-pattied, cooked-to-order, BBQ-Bacon Burger! Had the sweet potato fries as well. Id visit again with zero hesitation and highly recommend if youve never visited.
HORRIBLE!!!! food was overpriced for the quality service was EXTREMELY slow! our oh so great and wonderful waiter (NOT) felt that the $10 tip my husband left him was not enough and took apon himself to add an additional $10 tip onto my husbands credit card, which supposedly the owner was supposed to personally call my husband to apologize for his employee but NEVER RECEIVED THE FIRST PHONE CALL!! we will NEVER be going back again!

Food was good, though the BBQ was quite salty. Husband loved the oysters. And Sundays kids eat free so that is really beneficial for families with small children.
Enjoyable food. Some of the sanitation practices were questionable. Watched the waitress and waiter fold napkins around forks and knives. Rather than place them in a sanitized tray until the process was complete, the waitress placed them on the seat of a chair.
My first time ever going to that restaurant. And truly it wont be the last. A very wonderful, pleasant atmosphere all smiles and our waitress was wonderful also a great experience.

Exceptional service. Food came out quickly and was very tasty. We had fried pickles as an appetizer. I had the flat iron tacos and a loaded baked potato. Husband had the south paw and a baked potato. Kids had pulled pork sandwich and fries and fried shrimp and fries. No complaints from these roaming gnomes. We will make Albany a destination again just to eat Austins.

Removing my previous 4 star, went in today Sunday to sit on patio and enjoy some oysters, 12 year old hostess seemed unable to handle 3 parties that came in Door at same time, sat on patio so we could smoke as THEY permit, ordered a blue moon and THEY were still out as they were the previous Thursday on my first trip. Attempted to order oysters as an app. All out of oysters the only reason I came, wonder why they didnt notify or cross off menu? I would have never sat. So we were polite and cashed the 2 beers out. While we ate finishing our beers and deciding what other restaurant to go to , another little girl comes to the table and say the manager wanted me tobtell you if you want to smoke you have to sit at front of patio.Wonder why that manager didnt have the work ethic to come addressed us himself and the fact that 2 items on menus werent available and that we immediately cashed out . Oh well. No next time for me.
I had the grouper tacos with asian slaw and a side of stringy greasy things they called onion rings. The so called grouper tacos were the worst. The grouper was over seasoned and could not taste the fish. The asian slaw was buried under the fish (good place for it) had no taste and was mushy like it had been in the refrigerator for 4 or 5 days. Could have gone to Long John Silvers and got the same quality food for half the price. However, the appetizers were good.
The food was and service was horrible. My oysters were overcooked. The pork chop was too salty and so was the potatoe. The waiter had an attitude however because we were a largevparty she made 40 bucks off of us in gratituty. She didnt earn that at all. Please dont waste your money on this place its horrible even the water taste bad. Will never go again not even for free.

Great food, horrible service. Be prepared to wait for 30 minutes before someone notices you, it has happened several times. On my last visit I was seated right beside the servers station but still could not get anyones attention, so I walked out. If my business is not wanted, Im not going to go out of my way to give them my money. It wasnt even very busy that day.
I wanted to eat here...however, we waited to be greeted for 10 minutes (managers check the tape) (2/24/19 @ 1710). Restaurant was not even busy. We left, a couple in front of us left and a couple behind us left. This is not supposed to happen managers!
Hit and miss. Tonight we stood and waited for 15 minutes with 3 other parties just trying to get a hostess to seat us. We finally gave up and left. If the seating is that difficult who knows how the service would be? But, if we had ever been served by the hostess we would have gotten the signature wings. Maybe we will try again next month.
Have eaten Austins on a regular basis for two years. Never had a bad dish. Love sitting outside on a Friday night listening to live music. Enjoyable casual atmosphere, especially after a long week of work. Good crab cakes, huge burgers, wings to eat for days.
Every visit to Austns Firegrill has been great. The menu has something for everyone. The staff and service is wonderful. It has become our place to go. Great food, great service, made to feel at home. FIVE STARS.

The food was so-so, a little pricy for what you get in some instances. My husband ordered barbecue and got much more on his plate than I did after ordering fish, for much less. Waitress was nice, but noticed a group waiting to be seated for a few minutes without being helped at the door. Eventually they went and flagged down a waitress to be seated.
Took my wife here today for a Valentine’s Day lunch. We love this place and have followed the restaurant every place it has opened. Today however they dropped the ball. I ordered the filet mignon which was bland and dry. My wife ordered the crab stuffed grouper which was missing the sauce that normally is served on top. Both meals appeared to have sat under a heat lamp for a while.

The BBQ is excellent. I had the pulled pork and ribs. Try the Austins sauce! It will be worth it. Coleslaw is made in house and very good but lets face it fries are fries. Highly recommend.
I had a steak that I asked to be cooked medium rare. When I got my steak, I needed no steak sauce, and it was cooked prefectly, like I cooked it myself. Lloyd keep doing what youre doing to those steaks and well keep eating them, bro.i meant to take a picture, but didnt think about it till after my second to last bite. Heather our server, was awesome, considering she was helping with a big party also. My wife got the fried shrimp, which I tried one and it was super salty, she loved it with the sauce that was servered. If you want Austins, but are too busy to go get it, or sit down there, they are on the Waitress app.
My family and I were visiting from Maryland in January of 2013 and we took time to have dinner at Austins. Terrible regret!!!!! There were 17 of us in our party. We were seated and 30 minutes later we still only had water on our tables. WE had to ask if we could make appetizer orders. After making orders only half of our party was being tending to, the rest of us just sat waiting, getting more and more frustrated! The whole table finally got appetizers but now an hour had passed and no one had asked us for our dinner order so WE had to ask for ourselves. The server came over to take orders. Then we waited and waited and waited and waited some more. Again the other half the table got their orders as the rest of us sat in frustration!!!! After making several COMPLAINTS to the server she told us that there was another big party there and that was the delay so we explained that we were there an hour before them and didnt understand how that would conflict with us! After 2 hours had passed the rest of us had received our food only to be disappointed. Steaks were over cooked, crab cake & fries were cold, baked potatoes & bacon werent cooked completely. HORRIBLE!!! After complaining, the manager finally came out only the brag about the restaurant and he would ONLY discount the one crab cake and our bill collectively was well over $300. FINALLY after 2 hours and 45 minutes we had to ASK for the check because perhaps other patrons were more important than we were. My family and I WILL NEVER dine at this restaurant EVER again. We have family members that live in Albany, GA that came out with us that night who WILL NEVER dine in your restaurant!!!! TERRIBLE...AWFUL...MISERABLE EXPERIENCE
The food was good, even though they messed up the order twice. What no Cole slaw? BEWARE, they added a 23% tip to the bill when they ran my credit card for a table for two. The credit card receipt was looking for more tip!
The food is always great. The service is usually good too. Good selection of drinks at the bar.The flat iron steak is a personal favorite of mine.
Best thing to get here are the oyster Rockefeller, catfish fingers, and loaded fries. We also got the shrimp and grits and the new Orleans pasta, which were only ok. They were cooked with a lot of oil. Also had the gumbo which was not good at all. Had no flavor and not a true gumbo. I will be back for the oysters.
I had flatiron steak, salad, baked potato and unsweet tea with lemon. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious!

2021-05-07This place has very low star ratings and Im not really sure why... my team and I came to try them out after many locals recommend it to us. From the second we hit the door we knew we were in for a Damn good time. Our server Consuela was amazing. Very honest and personable, if you come here you will want to be in her section. As for the food we ordered the steak tils and they were pretty good. For the mains we ordered the Jambalaya, Cajun pasta,and Flank steak and we had zero issues with the food. There was one almost issues but our server was on it before the food got to the table. Our drinks were strong and made correctly. You need to stop by and give a try. See pics below of the food and server.

2022-04-25I do enjoy eating here, and the food is wonderful, but they seem to have alot of employees just standing. We were sat at a table that needed wiping off. And when we ask for more tea or a condiment it took longer than it should! So, with the place being very busy the employees standing around just looking should take it upon themselves to be wiping tables, carrying tea, coffee, water around to customers. Look at peoples glasses and ask the waitresses how they can assist! I say this cause Ive worked in the industry myself.

2022-05-24Walked into the restaurant at around 4:30pm, after 5 minutes of standing in the front of the restaurant no one came to greet me or seat my party so I went to the bar and waved at the gentleman cooking food, he then waved down some woman who approached me and said I hear youre up here hollering definitely not an appropriate way to greet a patron of your restaurant. I then asked if we could be seated outside, there wasnt a single clean table on the whole patio. They did clear a table and we were seated. The food was overpriced, bar food. Definitely wouldnt recommend and wont be back.

2022-07-01Came here for a business meeting. Nice hometown feel with great fried oysters as an appetizer. Ordered the flat iron steak with steamed broccoli. Everything was seasoned well and cooked perfectly.

2022-07-09My mom’s party melt had a chunk of her toast pulled off. When asked the manager about it he told us to take to pieces of toast and assemble it ourselves! The owner then backed him up and agreed with an employee when telling an customer to do their job. Saying “do you know how much that would cost me”. Both supposed management argued with a supportive customer and failed to even make my food after two hours. They’re very unprofessional and I had better service at Burger King tonight. Probably better service than Newman’s too… oh wait

2022-03-18I will have to say the Salmon was absolutely wonderful. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest I know salmon and Im very picky. I would suggest Austin salmon any day. It was very nice to have the patio option. The service was exceptional.

2022-06-19Nice place. Oysters and beer dinner. The raw were sweet and delicious. The Kitchen sick oysters were well prepared. Overwhelmed the oysters a bit but were also delicious.
