From My initial phone call through to the return of the car, every step was professional, friendly, and helpful. I look forward to renting from Automax again soon, and telling all my friends how great they were to work with! They took a personal interest in being sure that my experience was the best. And it was!
Let me start by saying this will be a long review but you all should read the entirety of it before you rent a car from this company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.On Friday Oct 30 I was involved in an accident that was not my fault. I came to Automax on the following Monday 11/2 to rent a car until mine was fixed. Britta that works at this location is absolutely wonderful, her manager Mike Graham..... not so much.On 11/10 all of a sudden the rental car that was given to me (2016 Nissan Altima) was having issues starting. I would press the brake and then press the start button and accessory mode would come on. Once I pressed the start button again (while brake was still engaged) the car would turn off. This cycle was repeated for 10-15 mins by my fiancé and myself until the car FINALLY started. Once I got to work I called Automax. Britta assured me she would speak to the manager and would give me a call back. He. Never. Called. When i left work on 11/10 and the following day (11/11) i had the same issue with the car each time i would try to start it. But this time i took videos!!! I had to call Automax again (11/12) and the manager actually came out to see the car and said he saw no issue with it. I showed him the videos and he assured me It was just the fob dying and gave me the 2nd key. He advised me to hold the fob over the start button when i pressed it and it should start fine. He talked to me like i was a child and like i didn’t understand how to properly start a push button car, repeating that i needed to keep my foot on the brake before I pressed start..... I didn’t think it was the key because the car would lock from several yards away but whatever he thinks will work.On 11/13 the issue was STILL happening with the new key. My fiancé, his mechanic friend and my mom all were attempting to have the car start with no success. We did everything the manager asked of us. I took 2 videos and sent them to the manager instantly and he said “you have to keep your foot on the brake and press the button. the message on the dash says push the brake” okay. I know that. And I made sure to in the recording you could see the foot pressing and holding the brake pedal while pressing start. My original car was a push start. He was acting like I had never driven a car before. At this point we asked for a replacement because this was ridiculous and they kept advising they had no other cars period. A family friend is the service manager at Nissan and he said it is very common. They need to replace one piece on the car and it should be fine. I told the manager and he just said “ok” This was the WORST experience I’ve ever had renting a car. They don’t care if you are stranded or the integrity of their vehicles. I will NEVER recommend this company and will tell everyone the awful experience I had.
The best rental experience I’ve ever had! Not a single issue. KIM went above and beyond for us and made our experience a total breeze. We won’t hesitate to come back to Auto Max if we ever need a rental again. Our car was so amazing and we will be doing business with Auto Max and hopefully Kim again.
Mike at Automax is as accommodating and professional as any Auto Rental business out there. The cars are well-maintained and clean at all times. Any car I have ever looked at was in excellent condition. I especially like that they charge extra or fine those people who do not show respect with keeping the vehicles they rent clean! Thank you Mike and Blake for being there with the best rates in town. Excellent cars for a much better rate!
This car rental place is great. They have a huge inventory of cars. Even on 31st Dec when other car rental places had nothing available, Automax had the car I wanted. Ladies who work here are very professional and helpful.
My family and I needed a large van for a post Christmas trip to NC. The big companies were a complete disaster over the phone, so I called AutoMax in Cartersville. Every rep I dealt with was AWESOME! They were personable like you would expect in a small town. We had no issues and they made it easy. Ill never rent from anywhere else ever again because they spoiled me. Thank you!
Couldnt ask for a better experience when it comes to renting a car. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and very professional. They always have a smile and find ways to help me have the best driving experience at the most reasonable rate.On one of my last visits to pick up a car from Mike and the crew one of the employees noticed the car hadnt quite been detailed to the standard they have so he immediately got out there and had it done before I drove off. Automax is the only car rental company I rent from. There are no hidden fees and their prices are competitive. The staff goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and accommodate your needs. Plus it is a fairly small business locally owned and I feel like its always better to spend your money at home then with a big Corporation.
We have used this company to rent mini buses, large buses and vehicles for the past 15 years and the always exceed our expectations. Very friendly staff, management and even the VP is always a pleasure to work with. Delivery Drivers are courteous and down to earth. Vehicles are always clean. They keep a new fleet of vehicles so you can trust that you get a great vehicle. Always the best prices. Wouldnt think of going anywhere else. Staff at the Cartersville location are the best!!!
They have been extremely helpful. On a work trip and clutch in the work truck broke. They picked us up and even stopped at Starbucks to let us get breakfast. They have been very polite and professional. Building and vehicles are very clean and looks good.
When it comes to customer service Automax is the definition. My wife’s car had went into the shop, and Automax quickly came to our rescue providing us with a car in no time. The rental agents and even the car washers treated us very well! I will always use Automax for all my future rentals. If you’re looking to rent a vehicle Choose Automax, you will not be disappointed!
I love to rent all my vehicles from AutoMax. When I arrive my vehicle is cleaned and ready to go and paperwork is a snap. Everyone at Automax is friendly and very courteous. I will definitely be back again and again. Give them a try you wont be sorry you did
The staff was great and very helpful and the price was reasonable, but.....we rented a 15 passenger Ford Transit van for 7 people to go from Georgia to Orlando. The air conditioning worked great but the seats were VERY uncomfortable! It made the ride pretty uncomfortable and the van was not super clean. If the van would have been even a little more comfortable I would have rated 5 stars!
I had to mark one star because it has no negative stars. I had the sad experience with this people when I rented a car (very basic Ford Fiesta) after a car wreck that I had. I rented for a week and when I called to talk about the renovation I was going to make, they told me I should have returned the car one day before and they said they try to run my debit card number and it was denied. I said of course it was, It’s one acc that I put money when I need and because of it I’m calling. The manager came on the line and said I should return the car until midnight cause it was reserved to another person and they have no car available to me. And they said to make sure the tank is full like you took.What kind of rental car place has no system to send a message for the customer about the proximity of the expiration date or give us a call especially when we are dealing with a wreck situation or whatever? Well, we rented a very brand new car all electronic with Enterprise for the same price and an excellent customer service that treat you like you expect.
Rented a Chevy car here for a couple days for New Years. Mike was very informative & answered all my questions in a nice manner. Everything was an easy process & great prices! Will gladly do business again.

Easy experience before, during and after! We were able to get in and out quickly when picking up the comfort vans. We were the first to use them and our group really enjoyed them. The manager was flexible with our return time which helped since drop off was a Sunday and we are a church group.
Had to get a rental car to go to Tennessee and was referred here by a few friends. Britta made the process easy and quiet entertaining. I never rented a vehicle before and figured it would be like buying a car and take forever and be stressful but, it was not. I have rented vans from Automax in Cartersville on numerous occasions. Most recently I rented a 12 passenger van for 4 days between Christmas and New Years Day. As always, everything went very well. The van was ready when it was supposed to be, the check in process was smooth and quick, and everyone was very friendly.I highly recommend doing business here.
I cannot say enough good things about the Cartersville (100 S Morningside DR) location of Automax Rent A Car! The service they provided was superior in every way. They went above and beyond to help my church youth choir and me on the recent trip for which we rented a 15 passenger Comfort Bus. You can bet I will be coming to them again for future rental needs!
I didn’t want to put to many miles on my car going to Florida so I asked around on good rental places and ended up at AutoMax. I was not disappointed in the service I received from Britta. She helped me and my wife more then she knows. I hate paperwork of any kind and she walked us through it no big deal. She answered all the questions my wife had to ask. The car was wonderful, great on gas. Definitely will return when I need to rent another car, thanks Britta
They are the best gig in town. They are super professional, polite, and reasonably priced. There’s no one else that we would go with. We use them 8 or 10 times a year, and they are always pleasant to deal with. You won’t find a better business around for your renting needs.
The man that rented us the Nissan Altima was very nice and understanding!The car was clean and amazing it had a back up camera and the phone rings through the radio oh my goodness that was great!! Very gooo on gas Great riding car! So thankful for Automax Cartersville Georgia and the staff there!!! I have rented cars for years now mostly using Enterprise. I was having great satisfied service with auto max untill recently. When there are stickers inside car saying return car clean or pay $250.00. Then realize this particular location also is assisting my stalkers. Being a DV victim I find it very disturbing. I will return to Enterprise

I would leave a 5 star rating except for the fact that the bus i rented drove terrible. The front end is worn out and needs some mechanical attention and the A/C for the passenger area was not efficient. That being said the customer service from the staff was excellent and the pricing was reasonable. Had the bus been mechanically sound this would have been 5 stars.
Great place to rent a car! I only had a debit card so had to pay a deposit, their deposit was $150 less than Enterprise. We put over 1k on the car we rented and never had a mechanical issue.
This is my go to car rental. We have several other options in Cartersville but my business stays here, prices are great, service superb.Nice vehicles, mechanically sound. Not a hesitation if I have to travel multiple states. Try them!!
My car broke down on the way to a meeting and I stopped here. I didnt have a reservation but was in and out with a clean car in about 15 minutes. Great prices, I would highly recommend! Staff was also very friendly and professional, great group.

Automax was such a lifesaver after a horrible experience with Enterprise in Rockmart, Ga. The day before my trip I was supposed to pick up my car, only to find out that Enterprise had the wrong pick up date, the wrong car size (I wanted a full and they tried to give me a size down), the wrong price (which was changed on 3 seperate occasions and ended with them asking for more money...for the downsized vehicle). So after a very unpleasant experience we tried Automax.30 mins before closing we rushed down to speak to Mike. Not only did I leave with a full sized car, it was half the price and absolutely no hoops to jump thru. It may have taken 15mins. My trip was saved and the people were fruendly and accommodating.Rent at Automax for sure. It will leave you a lot less stressed. Just remember to fill up before you return your car (which tbh will save you more in the end anyway). Great place.
Staff was friendly, they made the process quick and easy. They also had a vehicle for my family on a days notice. I would highly recommend them and will use them again in the future. The van was nice and clean.
Let’s start at the beginning of this amazing review. The day before my event, Enterprise Car Rental called at 5 o’clock and said they could not accommodate me. My question was what do you mean? Their answer simply was you will have to find other means of transportation or accept two minivans in place of a 15 passenger van. This was unacceptable. I googled van rentals and found Automax Rent A Car in Cartersville. We spoke to Mike. He listened and was ready to help in any way that he could. It was 5:15 and they closed at 5:30. We live in Marietta and could not make it to Cartersville in 15 minutes. Mike had to go see his nephew’s Baseball game and asked if we could meet him at 7:30 that evening. What a blessing for us and Mike. We drove to Cartersville and met Mike after hours, who does that? We did paperwork, got a great rate for a 15 passenger van, $250 less than Enterprise. Automax is a family-owned business and when I tell you the van was immaculate! If you need a van, car, any transportation, call Automax in Cartersville. I will never use anybody else. These folks are definitely out to help build our community through participating in the local community like a small business, but they have the inventory like a big corporation but with more flexibility and the human touch. We love this team and would rent from them every single time we need or want a rental car, truck, van, or bus.

Renting a vehicle from auto max was really easy and didnt take any time at all. I had my rental car for 4 weeks. They did the most to keep the prices as low as possible.

On my first visit to AUTOMAX, no major car rental company had a car to rental at any of their locations within a 40 mile radius. Our car was damaged on I-75 in Ga. it was on a Saturday and close to closing time. The lady, I wish I had her name, was kind enough to have us picked up from the GM dealership. I had called a cab that after 45 minutes never showed up. That is customer service you don’t find often any more.
Service was fast. My appointment was for 9:00 a.m. I arrived early and departed the lot about 10 minutes before my appointment time with the rental vehicle. Great Service.

We had rented a car from the Rome Automax. It began to show an Engine Overheating warning after driving from Rome through Cartersville and taking the on ramp to I-75. I called the Rome office and she told me to go to the Cartersville location for a replacement. The staff in Cartersville made sure to get me into the last car they had - going above and beyond to make it happen. The great guy in Cartersville truly saved the day for us!

2022-05-16My Daughter rented a GMC Yukon for their trip to Disney World and they loved it. A lot of room, it rode really comfortable which I found out I got to ride in it before they left.The employees are really friendly & Helpful. The prices are reasonable!!!! A Great Place!!!!

2018-07-28Great experience for me. First of all they have very reasonable rates. I love the ability to see what Im getting online. You can get in and out in 5 minutes. Of course, I messed it up and rented the wrong thing. No problem. Ms. Kim was extremely helpful and understanding. She found what I needed and I was ready to go within 30 minutes. That included the nice man that detailed the van. Yes a 15 passenger sprinter van. They will have all my future van rentals! Oh, I forgot to mention that since I was a new customer they gave me an extra 50 miles free in addition to the 200 that comes with the rental. Top notch customer service.

2020-06-08Automax will forever be my Go-To rental company. Great people, great prices and selection.After an accident my insurance company told me to rent from a different company. After experiencing poor customer service, limited payment options, limited inventory, I asked my insurers if I could go somewhere else. They said yes. I immediately called Automax. They set me up with a full size truck like I wanted and did it for about $60-80 less out of pocket than the competition that my insurance company wanted me to use. They also got in touch with my insurers and got payment arrangements set up that morning so I did not have to wait for reimbursement. They took care of it all. I also needed the truck longer than my insurance policy paid for. Mike and Kim at Automax managed to keep me in the very new full size truck for a lesser rate than they would normally charge. This was due to several factors. But bottom line is I can not recommend this company or its people enough. They will be getting all my business from now on.

2021-11-10I have been a long time customer! and I can tell you I will not rent from this company again! Not an honest organization. Its all about the money and not the customer! Not one mile was put on the rental and was charged for two days! The keys were dropped in the box after you were closed! You would not be able to rent the vehicle out anyway. You were closed! Several cars on the lot! I picked up the car when you were closing for the weekend. No way to call or cancel the rental! you were closed! The car was in your possession on your lot! Never moved!

2021-04-27After going round and round on computer with other rental places. A friend told me of Automax. I walked in door and was helped by the Sweetest young lady. Very reasonable prices by week and no run around big add ons👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I recommend Automax Highly. You never know whats in Your town until You venture out and look. Big names agencies arent always the best choice.

2021-09-16I used to rent here alot. But they have gotten like Enterprise and need way too much information. Asking for a persons check stubs and proof of job is ridiculous. Why do they need that they act like people steal rental cars. Try Avis 😃.
