Service was done to standard. However, it seems the service department is understaffed and has difficulty keeping up with the demand for service. My appointment was at 7am and was not completed until 6:30pm for a 45 minute job. I was told it was because they were still working on vehicles from the previous day. I feel the service desk and phone calls would be answered if there was an additional employee. The representative was trying to keep up with customers in line, on the phone and working on the computer. My purchase from the dealership was pleasant. No pressure sales and knowledgeable employees. Was patient while I looked at several different SUVs looking for specific dimensions.Parts department employee is friendly and always willing to help and provide options and information for what suits your vehicle.
Awesome!! Scheduled my appointment online they even completed a recall I had no idea about. Waiting area was clean and comfortable and I was in an out quickly. Great customer service, The techs at the desk were super welcoming and friendly. Thank you will definitely be back!
I went to get my car service for and oil change, although my car was not ready when it should have been. Service Manager Frank made it and easy processed for me to understand why and ensured it would be ready soon and it was. Thank you all for all your hard work and dedication to be sure my car was safe to drive!
I have owned 3 Volkswagens and have trusted all of their service and repairs to Auto Nation VW in Columbus. The staff in the Service, Sales and Parts department are professional, kind and they have made sure I was taken care of each time I have come in. My most recent oil change and tire rotation visit was scheduled promptly, I was greeted when I arrive and with in 1 hour 15 mins my vehicle was ready. I would recommend them for your service needs.
Warranty work on my 2013 VW Jetta TDI. Showed up for the appointment and was immediatly taken care of. Code was read and diagnosed. They said it would be about 2 hours and they almost hit it on the nose. Also changed out some filters while doing the work. Car is now running like a top. Great job guys.
The worst experience I have ever had in my 73 year life .Dealer was understaffed , incompetent , told lie after lie.Took 36 hours of my life to charge me $3,000 and not fix the problem I came in forWhen after 24 hours , hotel and rental car , Uber fees, I complainedThe “ finance “ manager confronted me without an introduction and told me I @haf to settle down “All afternoon yesterday I tried to communicate with VW Columbus , still no response .Not the way to treat anyone much less a loyal VW owner .
I’ve bought a well taken care of 2016 VW Tiquan from another dealership but brought it to Auto Nation in Columbus Georgia for its service. Everyone at this dealership has been wonderful from service Kelsey and the staff. I have had an on going tire leak and I have Toyota which was getting a new set of tires from Mavis. I thought I’d have them look at it since I was there. Not only did they not solve the problem twice they insisted in telling me what wasn’t the problem with attitude. Worst customer service ever! I brought it back to Auto Nation and not only were they pleasant to deal with they identified the problem, fixed it and had it ready when promised! Never again will I bring my VW to another mechanic.
***Updated******2 Reviews***1st Review: Had an appointment to get an oil change at 2:30 pm. Dropped off the vehicle 15 mins early. I called the service department 1 hour before they closed (they close at 7:00 pm) to get an update as I had received no update so far. Nobody answered. I waited 10 more minutes and called again, still no answer, I left a voicemail the 2nd time. 30 mins before they closed I drive to the dealership to get either an update or to retrieve my vehicle. As I pulled up, it was evident they had not moved it from the spot I parked it. Walked in and spoke to the service manager, (the only person around) who informed me it had not been touched. He never asked if I wanted to reschedule, didn’t offer to make it right in any way, shape, or form. Whispered an apology before he moved the vehicle to make it easier to drive away. Waited over 4 hours for nothing.2nd Review: After our initial unfortunate experience, we still needed our vehicle serviced and decided to try again. I was contacted by a gentleman named Matthew who apologized profusely for the error and said to bring the vehicle in anytime and he would make it right. When we brought in the vehicle the 2nd time, our oil change was free, and all the services, (oil change, tire rotation, and balance) were completed in about 90 minutes.I gave them 1 star for the first attempt, and will give them 5 for the second experience. Average of 3.
I just Recently bought a 2019 VW Atlas at this Location. The customer Experience here was like no other. Our sales lady Lailanie was awesome. She is new to the AutoNation VW team and she still made the whole entire process easy. She was very accommodating and made me and my Family feel at home! The Sales manager and Finance Manager Mr. Lance also Were awesome through the whole process and kept us updated through the whole entire process and made it super easy and dummed everything down for us to understand what was going on. I am definitely happy with my Purchase and will definitely be a returning customer! I encourage everyone to try them out and ask for these people I mentioned you will not regret it.
The staff was very friendly but disorganized. I had difficulty connecting with the staff once leaving the dealership due to POOR telephone service ( telephone prompts were repeated resulting in NO connection with staff at times which was very frustrating. There were other issues however the staff was helpful in correcting them.
I stopped by the dealership, because I had gotten my oil changed in Louisiana a little over a week ago (the oil change place did not correctly put my undercarriage back up and it was dragging on the ground). I stopped by with no appointment and asked if they could order me another one, but he he took my Atlas back and was able to put it back up, fixed a tire that had a bolt in it and do a recall all in about an hour with no appointment. Thank you
I had a wonderful experience with the staff, the general manager, staff, finance office, Salesman (GREAT, WONDERFUL, very knowledgeable and Loves the LORD) His name is BEN, looking for a new car, he’s the person. Used car, it’s BEN. !!!! 10 stars or more. Yes, he’s that great. 😃🙏🏽 Must add Brandon, great service manager.
Like always the service is great the technician who works on your cars are awesome and very smart take you for a test drive along with you to ask you what was the problem was were you hearing also send you videos of what was the diagnostics Brandon and the other service managers are great please keep up the great job and support your local military and law-enforcement personnel!!!!
Our vehicle was taken in for service on a recall. We were able to schedule an appointment quickly and with ease, with digital and verbal confirmations prior to the scheduled service date.It was estimated to take a few hours, so I waited. It was a bit inconvenient to stop the day and a loaner or shuttle service was not offered. I guess it also just me being a bit spoiled by walking into BMW and getting a loaner and a complimentary car wash for getting a service that would take longer than an hour or so.No one was rude or overly pleasant…just business as usual. Quiet. In and out. It was appreciated.
Overall Great Experience with the Crew at AutoNation-Columbus. Alan, Lonnie, and David are all experts at their job and will make sure you’re taken care of! David even followed-up after a few days (after the sale) just to check-in and thank me again for the purchase! Keep up the great work!
Looking for a specfic vehicle on their site, found it. Communicated with sales person, told it will be out front waiting for me. Text that I was on my way and acknowledged as I was over an hour away. Got there to find out that the vehicle was still in another state. Wasted almost 3 hours and fuel.
My VW beetle was scheduled to be serviced at 9:30 am on 9/17. When I scheduled the appointment on 9/15 and also when I dropped the car off I listed 3 items for service: 1. Air bag replacement due to a recall; 2. Check several warning lights that are activated each time I start my car (the service person quoted an estimate and I told her to complete the service); 3. Prepare a quote for a seat replacement. I was told that my car would be ready in the early afternoon and that someone would call. I never received a call and tried to call them several times (I left a message with no return call from service dept.). Finally, we decided to pick up the car and arrived at 5:10 pm. Item 1 had been completed but Item 2 and 3 had not been completed or even started!! I felt like a got the run-around. I was told that item 2 would take 15 to 20 minutes. We were there for 1 hour plus waiting for items 2 and 3 to be completed. I received absolutely no apology - she just kept calling me sweetie (I wasnt feeling or looking too sweet!). This is unacceptable. They had my car for 8 hours!!
I truly enjoyed my experience with Autonation Voltswagon. David Kelley was amazing. The new management headed by Mr. Lonnie was a blessing as well. They made sure that I received exactly what I wanted. I would easily recommend anyone to Autonation Voltswagon in columbus Ga.
Sales professional Juan was an absolute pleasure to work with. My wife and I came in to test drive the Atlas and he made the entire experience simple and enjoyable. No sales gimmicks or pushy tactics. Friendly and helpful, if you’re in the market for a VW ask for Juan!
Im very disappointed with the service department. I brought my car in on Thursday to get fixed. I was told I had to prepay for my part and wait until the following Tuesday for the repairs to start. When I picked up my car on Tuesday, all the repairs had not been taken care of. I was then told they didnt have the part to finish the job and I would have to wait for it. So, now its Friday. I called the service department and they said, the part should arrive today. But, instead of taking care of me right away, they told me I had to wait because, there were customers in front of me.
They are not helping me to get car title for over 6 months. I am still waiting.Salesman answers my phone once per 5 trials but never helpful. I could not even get the name and direct phone number of the right person to ask.Chatting thru google just showed saying yes no feedback.Service center was only good spot there.
Imagine being in a building full of testosterone (for the lack of a better word), separated by glass partitions, with absolutely no regard for privacy to discuss FINANCES, OR THE LACK THEREOF, CREDIT REPORTS, IDENTITY THEFT ISSUES, ETC. For a FULL THREE HOURS!!!!!! THEN, TEST DRIVE A CAR OVERNIGHT AND HAVE TWO SALESMAN COME TO YOUR HOUSE PICK UP THE CAR ONLY TO HAVE A KEY THROWING, VICIOUS LANGUAGE ALTERCATION IN FRONT OF YOUR HOUSE ALLL BECAUSE NEITHER ONE OF THEM WANT TO DRIVE THE ITTY BITTY RIO.
Auto nation was a amazing choice! First I emailed my interest in a vehicle and within minutes I got a call from a very determined sales rep Robbie. I shared my worries with him about how I didn’t have any credit and so many places have turned me down after driving hours and have been disappointed so much. He tried his best to assure me but I still had doubt but to sum it up he assured me he could help! I took the chance and drove a little over an hour there I was greeted with a smile and treated like family! They worked with me on what I could afford and didn’t pressure me into anything I wasn’t okay with ! They got me in to a 2017 vw Jetta and left there within 3 hours !! I am so happy about my first car and couldn’t have chosen a better place to go ! I 10/10 recommend!!
Everything was going great, we were trading in two vehicles and we were getting two new vehicles in return. Somehow wires got crossed and the second vehicle they had shipped in for me, wasn’t the right vehicle. Ultimately they couldn’t find the right vehicle and we decided to look elsewhere. That’s when things went downhill. The dealership owed me money from our trade-ins and the management didn’t seem like they knew how to handle that. They started to give me the run around, and their attitudes went from cordial to annoyed. I would ask for a timeline on how long it would take to get a check, and they kept giving me answers that seemed made up. Excuses about corporate and waiting till the deal was complete, etc. It took well over a week to get a check, which mysteriously didn’t happen until we got another Autonation dealership involved. Additionally, my trade in was for sale on their lot the whole time. Less that impressed with their customer service.
I needed a few repairs on my VW and took it to AutoNation and Im glad I did. Everything from the scheduling to checkout was a smooth process. Kelci kept me informed of the repair process and made the entire process enjoyable. Normally, people are wary of dealerships, but I would not be of this one. Great job!
I would put zero stars but whatever. Do not buy a used car from this place. I bought a Yukon from them a year ago and it’s been nothing but trouble! A week after purchasing the car I had to have the transmission replaced. I’m even questioning if they really replaced it. It has done nothing but give me problems from day one! Will they listen? No! Numerous trips back to the dealership with a different “solution” each time. Did it work? NO! I have been told that I will receive another transmission next week on several occasions only to never hear anything from them! I was told that the transmission that they “replaced “ had a three year unlimited mile warranty and now I’m being told it only had a 12 12 warranty! They have given me the runaround for over a year! And now telling me to go somewhere else because it’s basically not their problem!! Complete BS!! I have tried to contact the General manager on several occasions with no response at all. This place is a joke and I’m not the only one they’ve treated like this! Buy somewhere else! Especially is you’re a single woman! These places think they can take advantage of us! I’m also contacting the BBB about them.
We had a great experience dealing with the guys at AutoNation Volkswagen. Robbie was quick to jump in and help us find what we were looking for. Lonnie worked to get us the best deal possible. Lance helped make the financing a smooth and quick process. We would definitely recommend!!
When looking at used cars in the lot, we were kindly greeted by Mr Beard who was really nice and patient with us. He took time to really understand what we were looking for and helped us find the perfect SUV. He educated us on options and never once made us feel rushed or pressured. Sarah greeted us when we walked in and made us feel at home. Mr Lance made the paperwork process very smooth. We are completely satisfied with our experience at this dealership, everyone was very nice and professional. We are loving our brand new VW Atlas Cross Sport!
I have been on the hunt for the perfect Toyota Tacoma for over a month. I’ve met sales people who were ridiculously aggressive, some that were lackluster, and some that call me more frequently than the car warranty folks. On a Saturday afternoon, once I finished with work, I had an appointment at another dealership to go check out a truck. As I was doing closing duties, the dealership sent a text saying they sold the truck. Me: someone who values time and structure; was pretty bummed out. Since I no longer had anywhere to be, I went to the local watering hole to drink a fall brew while I continued my search for the perfect vehicle.I came across AutoNation on the Edmunds App. I was a little hesitant about reaching out about a truck they had posted because the ad had a stock photo and generic information. I hit the text inquiry button and within ten minutes was being texted back by a man named Ben. Ben talked to me like an actual human, no frills, no trying to persuade me into another vehicle. He was straight to the point and explained the ads purpose for being generic with a stock photo. He then went on hunt, on a cool rainy day, and found the truck (which had not been processed and detailed; hints the lack of photos). Ben sent over several photos and cracked jokes about the silly “decor” left behind. He set up an appointment for the following day; Sunday at noon. Sunday, perfect, my normal day off, a day that is usually closed for most dealerships. When I arrived, I learned that Ben doesn’t work on Sundays but he did inform and arrange for me to meet with a fellow coworker, Mallory. (Which I loved because as a business owner, this shows me that teamwork and communication is established, and I respect that)Mallory has a great sarcastic sense of humor and made the transaction pleasant and very chill. Lance, the finance guy, was also really cool. While my Tacoma was being detailed; we bantered about absurd gas prices and mountain adventures.Overall all I had a great experience. The people at this dealership are authentic, know how to have fun, and are on top of their business. Being open on Sundays is a huge advantage in addition to the large inventory they have to offer.
My appointment was at 9:30am. I arrived 5 min early. My appointment was simply for an oil change. I did not get my car back until after 12pm. They stated they were doing work on a recall at 11am, but never informed me of this prior to the appointment or before doing the work, and then charged me for the work they did. I have a warranty on my vehicle and they disregarded that information. I am very dissatisfied and I will be looking into other certified Volkswagen dealerships in the area to continue my service with. Not only do I have to dock my pay with my employer, I had to pay for recall work that was never agreed on.
Visited in late May this year to cancel the protection plan and the person responsible told me it would be updated along with a follow up call on the next business day. Since no call from VW Columbus, got the email contact of the responsible via the sales and emailed with several reminders over time. Yet not received even a call. Called the person and informed him to look at my emails but…no responses.Got the GM phone number and left a message. No calls back. Will have to find another path to make the chamge effective retroactively. If VW Autonation wants to be recognized by customers as their best dealer, so do the customers in the other way around!
Everyone was friendly helpful and fair. We enjoyed doing business with autonation VW. Robbie helped us out and he was a lot of fun. Lonnie as involved in helping to negotiate the price and David stayed late to make sure I knew how to work all parts of the car. I love my new Tiguan! I’d recommend this dealership.
I am pleased to say that there has been a HUGE turnaround at AutoNation in regards to customer service. I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Victoria. From the moment I stepped in the door at 7:30 am to the time that I picked up my car, I had the most pleasant experience! She has a bright smile and is so kind and helpful. I enjoyed using the messaging service. It was nice to get updates/questions via text because it can be tough sometimes during a work day to take a phone call. Communicating via text allowed me to respond when I had the time. Great job Auto Nation, please keep up the good work!
I bought a new zetta last week. I contacted a clerk first. And after a few minutes, I could a quotation for zetta. I was so impressed because his reply was so fast. So without hesitation I went to the dealer shop. And I could buy car just within 2 hours. Your clerk’s name is David Kelley Jr. Although my english is limited. I hope that he will be better in his job. Thanks.
I had an appt for Tuesday at 8... on Monday I went to drop the key in their night drop slot...no envelopes. Notta big deal. I went inside and spoke to a sales person named Mike, that asked a younger guy to go into the service area and get me an envelope. The service area was closed since it was Labor Day. He couldnt find an envelope so he took my key and wrote my name, phone number and e-mail address and said they would get the the key in the morning. Tuesday morning about 9 a.m. I get a text about missing my appt. I call and speak to someone in a call center and she has no luck contacting my local office but sends them an e-mail about my keys being there and my car in the parking lot. At 10 a.m. I receive another text about missing my appt. I call AGAIN...AGAIN, they cant reach my local office. I ask for a direct line...they gave me a direct line. Later that early afternoon I try calling local and no answer. Finally, the next day, I receive a call from a service writer and she is calling about my keys that she found just sitting on her desk! My car sat the whole day on Tuesday and now I am without it on Wednesday...very disappointing that they cant even do what they say they are going to do at the time it should have happened!
Manager Mike Corr, sales manager Lance and salesman Robbie reeves worked tremendously and made my trade in as smooth as possible, I left VW with the last loaded 2020 Jetta and I couldn’t be more satisfied. I’m looking forward to allowing this dealership to perform maintenance on my vehicle as my experience from start to finish was phenomenal. And I’m not someone who often writes reviews but as someone who works in customer service I felt as if they were very patient and understanding of me and my situation.
I am immensely disappointed with my experience at AutoNation VW Columbus. My vehicle was dropped off for an appointment on a Monday and we were informed it would be ready that Wednesday. No problem. Wednesday comes. Were still waiting on a part, we will try to have it to you by tomorrow. Again, no problem. Thursday arrives. We will try to have it ready by close this evening. Thursday evening arrives, This repair is taking longer than anticipated, but we will try to have it ready by Friday afternoon. At this point were weary and anxious, but are trying to be patient and understanding. Friday afternoon comes. Your car is repaired and assembled, but there is an error with the code reader, we will try to have this figured out by Saturday morning. Saturday morning arrives. The error is still occurring and we are told that the car must be disassembled and repaired again in efforts to figure out the error. In essence we are told we screwed up and have to do this all over again at your inconvenience and it will take an additional three days and should be ready by Wednesday So what was an anticipated three-day repair has turned into a ten-day fiasco. No offer for a loaner despite the extra time being their fault. No talk about discounts for the inconveniences, etc. In fact, their tone made me feel as if they were shifting the blame on us for taking it in for repair so damaged in the first place. It would be different if they were transparent from the beginning about what was wrong, what could go wrong, and how long this would really take. Each day I was expecting to pick up this vehicle only to be confronted with another extension or problem. This car is a daily driver and to have it in the shop this long especially when we were told this repair would be completed within a much shorter length of time is extremely disheartening. This shop clearly does not have all their ducks in a row, as apparent through many of the reviews regarding service. We will try to avoid taking this vehicle here if at all possible, especially after such positive experiences from their Atlanta-area stores, especially in Marietta and Chamblee.
My experience was a hot mess. Instead of them being straight forward with me about me getting the truck. I had to spend my hold day with this company. Although I got the truck. When I went for service repair, the service was good. I am disappointed in the service overall because I was not offered free oils change or gas or something , reasons why because I decided to come back to purchase this truck. You all need better incentives for your clients because now if i wanted another I would be hesitant.
AutoNation Columbus is a great place to purchase your next vehicle. It’s hassle free and will be a great car buying experience for anyone. Allen, Ben, Robert, Lance and staff was super friendly, patient and did an awesome job helping me with the selection process on my new vehicle.
Bought a new car here a few months ago, had a very good experience. I ended up needing to use the service department and was even more impressed. All the service advisors I dealt with were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The mechanics correctly repaired my car the first time and did so quickly. If you have a Volkswagen this is definitely the place to go in Columbus.
I took my car for a simple oil change and tire rotation. When they called me to pick it up I got there and the label wasn’t changed, turned the car on one tired was low pressure, then looked at my rims and one of them was scratched. I drove home and my car started smoking.Called them back and they told me to take it back. Had to call a tow to take it to the dealer.I got a call back a couple hours later and was told that oil was spilled on my engine. The guy that did the job for my car was “new” which doesn’t clear the case. They should hire people that know how to work cars. Now my car has a weird noise and it smells bad. I don’t know if they forgot to put the oil in and drove without it or if they put the wrong type of oil or if they really spilled it. Really bad experience.
I want to start by saying, Trevor the gentlemen in the service department was very responsive and professional. Everything else about this experience has been poor at best. While my wife loves her Atlas, we are actively looking to purchase a new car, because the AutoNation experience has been so bad. The car is set to go in again having still not resolved on going issues with the AC and door seal. We waited months to get an appointment with a loaner vehicle, but were continuously told to keep calling back as all the loaners were currently out. I asked on numerous occasions if they could just call when a loaner was available, but that was either ignored or refused. Eventually we relented and took the car, only to be told they still cant fix the problem, so a fourth trip will be required. If there were another VW dealer in Columbus, we would consider keeping the vehicle. I am not sure if this is indicative of AutoNation, VW or if we are just unfortunately saddled with a lemon of a dealership. This experience has turned us off of the worlds largest auto maker and the largest US dealership group.
I had my 130,000 mile maintenance done in June or July of 2020 and I was told that I needed a complete rear brake maintenance of some kind and that added another 453.00 dollars to the maintenance. Well about three months in I began to hear a squeaking noise and took it back to VW and they first said they didn’t hear anything, the noise continued, the second time I was told they did something and I was told if it continues to bring it back ... well it continued and I took it back the third time and the service manager came running out saying “it’s not nothing we did , it’s your front brakes and if you want that noise to stop you will have to get the front brakes changed and that would be 250.00, I told him to Give me my keys. I was so disappointed with the service I was getting, after already paying over 1500.00 for the 130,000 maintenance of which labor cost was $1009.00 . Fast forwarding to now, the noise continued after I had my front brakes replaced. This last appointment I was told that the rear brakes needed this and the front brakes were beginning to glaze and the cost normally was 450.00 but they would give me a discount and it would cost only 350.00, I told the service manager that my brakes should still be under warranty and he went to check it out and came back and told me that they would take care of it at no cost to me. I am pleased that he did the Right thing!! But what concerns me is the fact that service department here in Columbus was using me as though I was an ATM machine or the fact that I was a Woman. During these trying times, don’t use the consumer in that way. I am retired and living on a fixed income and I need my vehicle. So again thanks VW for doing the Right Thing!!!
I recently bought an Atlas and this place really exceeded my expectations. I usually hate going to dealerships because the salesmen typically come off as pushy, uninterested, just trying to make a sale but at no time did Robbie come off that way. I actually had no intentions of buying the vehicle right away, and told Robbie that if/when I buy a vehicle it would be in April. I assumed that would be the end of our conversation but much to surprise he didn’t lose any interest in what I was looking for and continued to answer all of my questions. Literally within 48 hours I was driving off the lot with a 2021 Atlas. A huge highlight was that not only did they not lowball me on my trade-in, but the offer they came up with was a few thousand more than what I was anticipating. Lastly, I hardly ever write reviews but I felt like the staff, Robbie in particular, deserved it. I highly recommend this dealership and if I’m still in the area in the future looking for another vehicle they will be the first place I look.
I love the fact that they were extremely nice to me. One think that I love is that they didn’t lie to me about what I needed to fix my car. Another VW Dealership in Birmingham, AL stated that I needed a new air compressor and so many other things, to the tune of $2500. Come to find out when I came to Columbus, that it was a valve issue and the system needed to be charged. It only cost $369. I’ll continue to use Columbus Autonation VW services, because I know they will be honest with what I need. Thanks VW Columbus. :-)
Had the car for 2 months never fixed the problem and want me to pay for it. .two weeks later my car sat on lot for 3 weeks the sevrice manager said he f0rgot that it was sitting on the lot for 3 weeks bad service manager.well never buy a car there no more. And never fixed it.and said thats all he going to do.mr Caldwell you buy the car we will fix it we promise.but no promise just problem with the service manager.spent 2 months there each day
The only reason that I am rating this with 2 stars is because my Volkswagen Passat went in for an oil change and for them to check the air because it is not blowing out cold. After the oil service was supposedly serviced, when we got home with the Volkswagen Passat the sticker had not been changed. We are not sure if the oil was changed at this point and nothing was said about the air issue. It is very unfortunate that this is mostly the only dealership in the area to service Volkswagens.
I was lied to. I went there for a diagnostic test on my car.on my dash it indicated that my oil temp was too hot as I drove it. They reported that the plug to the oil pan was leaking also needed a new gasket. Also my oil was low. All of this was a lie. I had an oil change on 10/23/2020 and three other oil changing stations showed me that my oil was clear was not leaking and that I did not need an oil change. I feel that Volkswagon only wanted to get money out of me due to my being a female. I love my car and it has never given me any problems. I keep up the maintence on it. It is very good on gas mileage. I will never take my car to Auto Nations Volkswagon ever again. It is a shame why they tell lies to you just to steal money from you.
First time taking my vehicle there. I schedule an appointment in advance on a week day and the rep advises I will be in and out. I get there at the scheduled time and they say the wait for an oil change is an hour and a half. I rescheduled the appointment to early Saturday morning and it took almost two hours to complete the oil change.
Beware of this dealership. I took my volkswagen jetta tdi in because the air conditioner wasnt working correctly. I was told that the compressor was bad and would need to be replaced. They gave me an estimate of around $2600.00. I declined at the time. About 3 months later I had to have my water pump replaced so I took it to a local mechanic, they repaired the pump. While paying for the repair the mechanic said youve been riding around hot all summer havent you. I told him about the bad compressor. He informed me that the compressor wasnt bad it was just unplugged by the quick disconnect. I told him well something was wrong because it was cutting on and off. He checked it free of charge and told me it had too much freon in it and got the level corrected. The air works just fine. Auto Nation was trying to rip me off. What scam artist!!! The worst thing is that Columbus is a military town, I can just imagine how many of our military guys have been ripped off. Shame on you Auto Nation!!!!
The staff are friendly and I do believe they -try- to be accommodating. However, I am given false promises at almost every visit. It is already difficult enough for me to get an apt that works with my schedule, but my last apt was finally booked. I expressed my concerns, but was talked into several hundreds of dollars for a service package. I agreed, because I love and really need my car (which I purchased at this location, as well). Three hours into the appointment, I was told they did not have the one single thing I came in for. I was told I would be contacted with a plan to have the part installed. For FOUR business days, I never received a phone call. I called myself on the 4th day and left a message, then called again and was told I would get a call back. Nothing.I am so so very disappointed. I have been loyal to this place, even after purchasing a car from them. I like to stay true to the VW brand, but I may have to have this car serviced elsewhere...
Service department needs a do over. I have a 2005 VW and they dont even have the necessary tools to work on it. Mileage type maintenance. My car sat there for a week while they waited on tools. At that time they still were not able to tell when tools were going to arrive. (funny how Amazon can track millions of packages but this dealer has no clue on parts and tools they order from there on manufacturer. After my car sat there for a week. I gave up, Picked up my vehicle and took it to Dothan to be worked on. They Didnt offer rental or anything for my trouble. VW head quarters was surprised that they didnt offer me a rental since it was required maintenance. I suggest you take your car somewhere else.
Dealing with Sim Thomas was the only positive experience that my husband and I had at this dealership. He is knowledgeable, patient and understanding. Sim was very helpful every time I had any questions or concerns, never ignored my calls or emails. He and Norman Matthews stayed in the office very late past their working hours to get everything done for us. However, our general impression was far from good. We were told by two different salesmen that we were eligible for a $1,500 rebate, but at the end we found out that wasn’t the case. Except that they were not able to review my credit report because of some issues with the credit bureau. For that reason I was not approved for the loan as a co-applicant and Norman Matthews promised to fix this after I solve the problem with the bureau, but when I did a week later he said it was too late. So I ended up with 9(!) hard inquiries on my credit report without result. In addition it took them almost 2 months to send the title and when they finally did (after my multiple calls) it turned out one signature was missing on the paperwork! So I had to get another temporary tag and just keep waiting. And now, 5 months later Im still waiting for them to return over $100 because they charged us too much in taxes. They are all very nice to you when they need your money but once they get it nobody cares anymore. So my advise - stay away!
I drove to Columbus for a softball tournament and before I left Jacksonville, NC I got an oil change and Tire rotation at Volkswagen of Jacksonville. On my way to Columbus my tire pressure gage alert came on and 1hr 1/2 into the trip l. So I checked my tires, no punctures and put air in them. The gage wouldn’t go off so I called the service dept. in Jacksonville and they pretty much told me it was my fault and that I probably ran over something. I proceeded to tell them that I inspected my tires and there wasn’t any punctures and told them I put 40psi in the tires. They said that it was recommended only 35psi be put in my tires in which I told them that their mechanics put in 38 so that was pretty funny. Fast forward to the next morning I went to VW Auto Nation of Columbus and told them what happened. They took my car right in, reset my auto pressure gage, and made sure all the tires were filled with the correct amount of air. This is all after I just walked in and didn’t have an appointment. Thank you VW Auto Nation for taking care of me! Now I won’t be stressed out on the 9 hr drive home :). Your kindness is much appreciated!
Worst experience I’ve had at a dealership so far. I came in looking to lease a vehicle TODAY and we were there over and hour and still could not receive a rough estimate on the monthly payment. I have a 660+ credit score and two incomes being married, but they wouldn’t give me rough estimate numbers with a soft pull on my credit like I was promised I could get. Waste of time. I’ve seen many people at other dealerships walk out with a new car in less than an hour and still, many hours later, don’t have even an estimate on numbers without doing a hard inquiry. Either the salesman Chris is not knowledgeable on the process or someone in the process lied and had us sitting there so long waiting on numbers. I went next door and with only a soft inquiry had numbers in less than 10 minutes and they were far more busy. They will waste your time.
I wish I could give this place 10 stars. I’ve never in my whole life had a deal better then what they offered me today. I got the max for my trade in and plenty of money off my new vehicle purchase. Very clean facility, friendly family feeling attitudes fromEvery employee i came across. SpecialShout out to my sales manager Brandon and my sales rep Joey for an outstanding experience nobody can touch these guys in Columbus hands down...I wish this place the best and I hope everyone gets the opportunity of a excellent experience that I received today I willBe back again!!!!...AMAZING DEALERSHIP KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
I am so impressed with AutoNation Volkswagen. I had great sales lady Jewel and she took great care of us from the time we walked through the door. Also, her manager Brandon was great too. It was a pleasure to do business with these great people. I love my Honda Pilit and could not be happier.
Great experience and communications.Dropped the car off with concerns, they immediately troubleshot the concerns following up with a phone call and a text that day verifying the concerns and the steps that were being taken to repair the car and have it back to us as soon as possible. Parts had to be ordered, they arrived the following day. The service team installed the parts as soon as they were received then communicated the repair was complete. When we picked the car up, they already had the keys and paperwork ready so that we were in and out. AutoNation VW does all of the services on our 2018 VW atlas, Highly recommend.
Yo Charles (our sales person) went out of his way to make sure we got the car we wanted, worked his butt off to get us good deals and helped us fix any issues we noticed when buying. The big boss Joey was so helpful and patient with us being first time buyers. Every time we talked to him the deal got better and better! And then the financial guy Cartez was incredibly speedy and efficient with the paperwork. They were all incredibly patient and nice and helpful. Will absolutely go back if I ever need a new car. They will HOOK up a new buyer for realllllll. 1000/10
They where great working with use we went in look at 3 different cars but all 3 where sold by the time we got there but they still manage to find us another car around our budget. The car had a few problems but they put us in a great loaner car till our new car was fixed up no joke when its time for another car Ill be hitting them up first again thanks for the help.
On my way to visit my daughter and family at Fort Benning I had stopped for gas south of Atlanta, the car started misbehaving. Immediately thought I had gotten bad fuel, then the check engine light came on. Not knowing anybody in the area I opted to have my cat towed to a Volkswagen dealer. My choices were Atlanta or Columbus Georgia.I had really hoped to have the car fixed and back on Saturday but that was impossible, all appointments for Saturday were filled. I was told that the best to hope for was late Monday or Tuesday. I had no choice but to rent a car to get back home to North Carolina. On Tuesday I was called and given the diagnosis, vacuum hose had come off and would need to be replaced as well as the spark plugs which I immediately told them to fix. The cost was very reasonable and repair was complete. I am going ,today to pick up my car and have another visit with my family. These folks could have ripped me off but didnt, for this I am grateful and I would recommend the service department at AutoNation to anyone.Thank you for Everything!
I would recommend going as far out of your way as necessary to avoid dealing with this VW dealer and take your money elsewhere. My boyfriend and I made and appointment and took his car in to have his a/c and wipers looked at. His car is under a bumper to bumper warranty which he paid extra for. The service staff were nice, but said that they couldnt fix the a/c under warranty and then charged more than they said they would for the visit, calling it a diagnostic fee. The a/c was overfilled, causing further damage, and the horn no longer works after the visit which is a safety issue when driving. When we tried to get the manager to agree to look at and fix the problems that his crew caused and agree that this was under warranty he was too lazy to even look up the warranty and said we would have to bring the car in (which took forever last time with no loaner car and not much to do), with no attempts to make things right. He obviously does not care about his customers or the quality of his work. A very disappointing find in what is supposed to be a great company.
Purchasing my wifes new car turned be a pleasant experience, although at first I was concerned because no one would return our call initially. I had requested a call from the sales chat online for a representative to call me three times. The third time was a charm. I was also upset that we had an appointment to look at a vehicle that wasnt even on their lot It was somewhere else in South Columbus. The new sales person Clayton showed us some other cars and everything turned out to be just fine.
Drove an hour and got my car serviced. I pulled in and was greeted with a smile and every individual throughout the entire process was professional and cared. I was there for several hours because my car had several issues and they (Mr.James Robbins) kept me informed the entire time. One of the best car experiences Ive had ever. Needless to say an hour drive was worth it.
I Am Beyond Happy. I Loved My Salesman David Kelley Jr Was A Great Salesman. I Felt Like All My Needs Were Met. I Was Approved For A 2020 Jetta SEL But It Really Wasnt The Car For Me. I Didnt Wanna Settle For Another Vehicle I Really Didnt Like. So I Saw A 2020 GLI S. I Fell In Love With That Car. I Was Told It Wouldnt Work For Me. I Left So Sad Friday. But I Communicated With Mike Core. He Somehow Got Me In That Car. I Couldnt Have Been More Surprised And Happy When I Got Approved For It. I Cant Thank Them Enough. Awesome Dealer.
I came to AutoNation to ask if their service department had time to replace my headlight which my car reported was not functioning. I received immediate service and good news. The headlights connection was all that needed attention done at no charge. Delighted I made an appointment for the 95,000 mile service. I feel confident I have people who are competent and ethical.
It was not the greatest experience that I have had when it comes to servicing a vehicle. Customer service was great. There were at least three to four items that were marked as completed in the checklist that was presented to me at checkout that was important for a 30k service that gave me the impression that my vehicle may have not been serviced at all. My passenger front side tire was still missing air, the service indicator sign was still coming on, and the sticker stating the mileage and time for the next oil change were missing. The tire that was missing the air was in the same place before and after I brought it in for service. I believe tire rotation was part of the service that was quoted to me for a 30k maintenance service. I only drove my vehicle 3k from the last time it was serviced. The items mentioned were checked as being completed, but were still presented to me as deficiencies after the service was completed. AutoNation did a good job when it comes to checking up before and after the servicing of my vehicle was completed. Thanks!
Disappointing experience with service. Make sure you ask very clear questions about what the charges will be before work begins.1) I called and asked ahead of time what the cost would be for an oil change service for my specific vehicle and was told $89. I guess its my fault for assuming that the filter and oil were included in this price. Bill ended up at $120.2) The service rep slipped a tire rotation in on me. I showed saying Im here for an oil change and lube. His response was Ok, we got you setup for an oil change, lube, and tire rotation. Again, my fault for thinking I could trust them to not slip something in on me like that.At pickup the service manager immediately had that charge removed when I protested (which was good), but not something that should have even been an issue. From what I can tell, it seems the mechanics are knowledgeable and do good work, just be very clear on the work to be done and the costs ahead of time.
The sales staff did an excellent job working out a deal for me. I had been stuck in my deteriorating mini for 2 years due to me rebuilding my credit and couldnt find anyone to make something happen for me not even my credit union. Somehow they did and Im driving a 17 Jetta tsi. Ive had the car two weeks now and drive it quite a bit since I work 40 minutes from where I live. The drive is good and the gas mileage is even better. Its the perfect a- b car I was looking for and the bonus features that come standard are pretty nice.
I have had nothing but positive things to say about Volkswagon of Columbuss Service Dept. They have always looked out for my car since I first brought it to them, the customer service is AMAZING!!!! I know most people are extremely anxious to bring their car to a dealership due to costs, etc;however, they have provided the best advice and experience possible. Thank yall so much!!!!!
My actual experience the day of service was excellent. Auto Nation VW was easy to find. The service was warranted, etc. The manager was courteous and professional. The car was there to be checked out before a long trip north. On the last leg of the trip, I had all sorts of vehicle warnings from the dashboard. After starting the car, it alarmed for low coolant, then no oil pressure, then something else. I turned off the car, let it sit and restarted. No more alarms...for the last 175 miles. However, the radio-media center acted in a bizarre manner, asking me all sorts of input questions from a screen Ive never ever seen.I will take to dealer here in the North and have it checked before I drive much more.
We dropped the car off on Friday night to get the oil changed the transmision flush the fuel filter changed and the front end checked i also told them about the fuel door not opening. they called me and told me i had to pay for the fuel door it was not covered $260.00 dollars to replace i told them not to change the cabin filter or the air filter i would do this. This would be another $120.00 dollars. I called back for the number to the main office so i could complain about the fuel door this car has 40.000 miles and never had an issue with any door on any car i have owned . They called back and said this would be covered because i have been a good customer for your company i said thank you. We picked up the car on Saturday we where told all service was done. They changed my oil with Pennzoil and a oil filter i ask for Castrol this is on the oil cap he told me if i looked at the number on the service ticket it belongs to Castol oil the service ticket says Pennzoil. The next Monday he sent me a text saying the fuel door was in and i need to make an Appt. to have it put on i was told on Saturday the services where all done. He said the other writer did not know about the door issue.
I have been having routine service on my 2013 Tiguan at this dealership ever since I bought it new. Today was my 30,000 mile service (the last complimentary one). I made the appointment online around 12:30 for 4:30 today. It took a little over an hour. Everything was explained to me clearly, including what will be required at 40,000 miles and the cost (a lot - but I expected that). I have been very pleased with this service department and am glad I didnt rely on all of the negative reviews.
What I thought was a good buying experience turned out not to be very good at all. After a few weeks of having my 2012 VW Jetta, I start getting text messages from the salesman wanting me to unlock my credit saying that it needed to remain unlocked for about 30 days. Unknowingly, I unlocked it but then begin to question it. If the deal was done and I was to start making payments soon, then why did my credit need to remain unlocked and why was hard inquiries still being made? Well, to make a long story shorter, I texted the salesman to explain this to me and he replied that hed get the dealership manager to call me the next day. When the manager called, he told me that the deal wasnt set in stone and claimed that the initial finance company dropped me so they had to have me come back in and resign another contract with another finance company with a higher interest rate but for a longer period (66 months instead of 60 months) plus an extra 45 days before my 1st payment would be due. I did sign another contract because I needed the vehicle but not before I got conformation that the new finance company was legit. My advice to everyone out there is to just be vigilant and know your credit and already have a loan in place to buy a vehicle.
Just bought my wife a VW Atlas from AutoNation Columbus. Best car buying experience Ive ever had. Very professional, knowledgeable, and competitive pricing. Went back and forth with other dealerships and AutoNation Columbus was the only one that could find everything we wanted for the price we wanted to pay. Very pleased with our experience!
This is my third interaction with them. Everytime has been disappointing, but this time I brought my vehicle in for 2 issues and they decided to do recall work rather than fix what I needed them to. Im a month from the last time I brought it in and the original issues are still not resolved and theres been one more issue that happened right after I got my car back. When I would call to check on the status of my car I would never get a clear answer and would often be told that no one is around to answer my questions. Will not be using again and would rather drive to Atlanta to have them do the work for me.

2021-10-15The salesman Robby was great he was always very polite and helpful. Only issue we had was it took a while to get a tire swapped out because there was a gash in one and the service dept had to order another one which took a while because it’s an off road tire. But once the tire was in the mounted and balanced it and we were on our way. Great experience we will definitely return again

2022-04-27I wanna start by saying that I truly appreciate them assisting and repairing my vehicle! I think they could improve on communication. I took my vehicle in on a Thursday and I was advised that they are backed up and would be able to inspect my vehicle within 24 hours. I had no problem with that. I called on that Saturday to get an update and was advised that if it wasn’t ready by the end of the day then it would be on Monday. So I waited until Monday and I called to get an update. I spoke with the service manager who explained more about my vehicle and advised they needed it a few more days to wait on a part. The service manager advised that since my vehicle was under warranty they could get me a vehicle. Awesome! It didn’t work quite that way. I never got a vehicle/loaner no one followed up to make sure I was taken care of. I had to call each day to get an update until they finally let me know my vehicle was ready on Wednesday. Like I said I appreciate there help, I just think more of a communication would have help the situation a lot better instead of feeling like I’m getting the runaround!

2022-05-19I called in a week before I came to the dealership to schedule an appointment. They were very helpful with the process and also told me they would keep me updated on the vehicle status. When I arrived they greeted me and automatically showed me the vehicle. I looked at it and then proceeded to test ride. I went through the list of things I wanted to look and hear for throughout my checklist and the sales rep (Ben) was very patient throughout the whole process. We arrived back at the dealership and I was asked how I felt about the vehicle. I was overall satisfied with everything I saw. The car was in excellent condition and I was highly surprised. I was looking for a while for a vehicle and that one was the best so far that met all my requirements. The financial rep made the whole process smooth and easy as well. Everyone was great overall. I would definitely recommend and would buy again.

2022-02-23Service was good as expected given that I had to have my Audi serviced at a Volkswagen dealer. Some of the parts were not available so I had to wait 4-5 days for my vehicle to be serviced. Also lack lo loaner vehicle was a problem but they did bring me home and pick me up when work was completed. Good thing that my family has an extra vehicle. Cost was more than Audi quoted me which was surprising.

2022-05-18Mr. Hammonds was absolutely personable and professional. On Saturday when I saw the car, he saw me pull up and waited... which i loved; the ability to just look. He did NOT come to me like flies on shhhh. He only came over when I had a question. After that it was a wrap. We talked, my wife test drove it on Monday, I test drive it Monday afternoon and purchased it. He then checked up on us a couple days later. This was the 2nd vehicle I bought from VW Autonation and it was a pleasant experience once again.

2022-06-29We worked with Ben and Lonnie and was a great experience. Not pushy, let us do the talking so that they could better understood our situation, and worked with us to get what we wanted….no haggling, no extra “hidden” fees, just a great experience. When we are in a need to purchase a new car again, we will definitely start with VW of Columbus since it was such an easy buying experience.

2022-06-28EDIT:just bought our second vehicle from them as a result of the exceptional service from our first purchase. Needless to say the service was on par with, if not better, than the first time. Richard was an absolute legend with upfront, no BS, numbers and brought a friendly personality along with it. Couldn’t be happier.Overall impressed with selection and the professionalism of Robinson (Robby). Right out of the gate he was friendly, down to earth, and didn’t push us into anything. Instead the experience was almost like being catered to opposed to haggled with. Thank you!

2022-07-07Bought out my lease and was very easy to get handled. Called and then went into the store where the GM Lonnie was waiting to meet us. He took us and went through all the paperwork to close out our lease with VW then handed everything off to his sales manager Richard who finished everything up then off to the finance office to finish up everything. In and out hassle free. Thanks guys for the red carpet treatment that II know you give to everyone and will see you all in a few years to update

2022-04-25Big shout out to Robby with Volkswagen of Columbus! I went in with the hopes of finding a car I would like but didn’t expect to walk away with the picture perfect brand new Tiguan that I love! Robby, Lonnie and David all three helped make this process smooth and had my car fully ready to go by the end of the day! Couldn’t be happier with the experience and look forward to continuing to work with them.

2022-03-02Everyone at the dealership was extremely easy to work with. Ben was very up front and honest about everything. He gave us the best advice that worked out in or favor, not necessarily the dealerships. Would 100% recommend this dealership and would return as a repeat customer.
