Fair price. I’m very happy with their service. The Chris was professional and both were nice and finished quickly. Price quoted was to the penny what I paid. $325.00.Saved the grass. They cut perfect squares of my grass just big enough to find the hole and put it back after. See photos for after I watered it you can barely notice and I think it will heal quickly.Strongly recommend.
Their employees are incredibly rude. One of them continually parks their pump truck on the sidewalk and grass in our neighborhood. This is unacceptable on every level, and speaks volumes about your company. Should anyone we know ever need septic service, your company will never make that list.
I called last night because we needed our septic tank pumped ASAP. Christopher called me promptly and let me know that he would be out first thing this morning. He was super friendly on the phone and talked like he really wanted to help. I was at work this morning when he came, but my husband says that he was here in a timely manner, very professional and hard working! They resolved our issues and we are very pleased! We would definitely recommend him for your septic needs! We are beyond grateful!!!
This is an honest review from a customer who has used Banks before. We noticed that we had a clog a few weeks back so immediately called Banks. It was almost coming out of the clean out in the back yard. We got the emergency service and the technician was out that night. We had lived at the house for one year before this happened, and realized the prior owners put some seriously bad stuff down the drains. However, after pumping the tank and flushing a few times the clog was fixed and we called it a night. A week later, there is another clog. Called Banks and they sent another team the next day. The guys dug up the tank lid again, and proceeded to use my garden hose instead of a drain cleaner and eventually the clean out was clear again. One of the guys said the baffle was sagging (from my pictures I took it clearly isnt) and said he could do the work on the side for cheaper than the company would charge. I didnt bite and decided that with my hose they cleaned the line. 4 Days past and yet again we have a backed up septic tank. This time I rented a 100 foot drainer cleaner, took it through the cleanout and within 10 mins the back up was obliterated and so far everything seems to be working fine. When I politely emailed the banks service team to call me to discuss I got an extremely rude email that said the problems were of no fault of the service tech teams. Now, no where did I say it was their fault, I only emailed to discuss why a garden hose was used for this clog instead of a proper tool, like the one I rented. I am leaving this message to hopefully have become be aware that professionals should use proper tools. I dont like having a reoccurring problem and then my hose being used as the main tool for a clog, which will never completely clear a bad clog btw, and dont like being told some tech would do the work on the side when all I want is properly working septic. I have all the receipts, emails and notes from the techs. I am sorry this happened because Banks in the past has been very helpful. I wont be using them again. If you do use them, be careful, watch them the entire time, and make sure you are satisfied before having to sign papers. Unfortunately, I lost $250 dollars for the second service and then 73 dollars for the machine rental.
Banks came out to look at a drain field issue that stumped their competitors and solved the issue in no time. I highly recommend you contact Banks Septic first. If youre in doubt when dealing with another septic company, reach out to Banks Septic for a second opinion.
These guys are good---Ive had previous companies pump my septic that left a mess in my yard and were too focused on upselling me. Banks (Paul as the tech) did a great job. They were very precious with the digging, made good recommendations on treatment strategy and took the time to educate us on future maintenance--and they were very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Banks Septic.
I have used Banks the past four years here in Lumpkin county. They are prompt, no hassles and very affordable. Home owners with less then desirable reviews should have a better understanding of the process. And most of all.. INSTALL septic risers and have it pumped annually. Having risers will eliminate digging and will save money.
Had various issues affecting my system and asked them to come do an inspection- immediately identified and fixed the issues as part of the inspection and were honest enough to tell me I didnt need a pump-out (even though that would have meant an extra charge for me) .These guys (Jason) explained everything about the inspection and potential problem areas in the future. We have used Banks previously in 2018 and had the exact same positive experience.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
They were the second company to come out since the first company I called couldn’t do the job and recommended Banks Septic. That says a lot, when a competing company recommends them and then Banks was less expensive. I am so thankful that I was put in contact with them. Very professional people and made the work look easy! Thank you for an excellent experience and I would recommend them for any job, big or small!
I cant say enough good things about Banks. My septic tank hadnt been pumped since before I purchased my home and I heard a gurgling in the toilet so I knew service was needed. I called Banks and scheduled service, but then the toilets stopped flowing and it became an emergency - Banks came right out the same day and saved me. It was wet and rainy and the crew went out of their way to do as little damage to the yard as possible (and apologized to my wife for the mess anyway).Shortly after that I started having another issue and I assumed it was the septic system failing. Chad came and helped me diagnose the issue and gave me several potential options and was clearly interested in helping me find a cost-effective solution instead of just trying to upsell me. It turns out it wasnt the septic system failing (which I wouldnt have known if Chad hadnt been so thorough) but was a blocked air vent.I would 100% recommend Banks Septic to others and have already gone out of my way to do so. They were professional, thorough, knowledgeable and customer-oriented instead of just trying to sell me a solution that didnt fit my problem. Thank you Chad!
Scheduled Banks for a routine pump. They sent people to mark utilities several days prior to make sure they didnt hit any lines. Called 25 minutes before they were to arrive. Pumped the tank, removed a large tree root and completed the job on time and without any high pressure sales. It was nice to not get high pressure sales like the 150.00 pump out companies. Pay the extra $ and get it done right.
Banks did a great job for our pump out. Christopher and Angel were very professional. There was no up-selling. They explained everything clearly and answered all questions. They didnt mind me hanging out and watching the process. They are a bit higher in price at face but when going through due diligence review of other companies prices it was a wash, if not cheaper. Highly recommend Banks for septic pumping and maintenance.
Matt and Chad are very informative and willing to take time to discuss options and teach us the pros and cons of all our options. We really appreciated their underatanding and patience with us and our many questions. Justin and his team did our project. He was very polite, professional and informative. We appreciate their effort and the quality of work. We highly recommend Banks Septic.
I needed a new septic drain field and called several companies. Banks came out and gave a quote for 325 of drain filed, permitting, and a bull run valve. Several other companies either did not show or would not give a written quote. Banks immediately got the job. When Banks came out to do the work, they were very professional and did a fantastic job. The yard was more level than before they showed up! We now have a septic system that works perfectly. I could not be more pleased with Banks and would not hesitate to recommend them.
Highly recommended. We have used Banks for septic services in the past. They have been honest, highly knowledgeable, competitively priced and reliable in the past, so we called them this time to do some very challenging excavating and grading work. I knew that this project would require precision work and attention to detail, so I called Banks. Justin was the operator on site today. He clearly was very experienced and competent. He spent over half an hour assessing the site and my expectations before he even got started. He checked out the overhead power lines, buried gas and water lines and existing septic system to be sure that he would not cause any danger or damage. He carefully avoided special plants. He was presented with a challenging situation and problem-solved to get the job done. I am sure that any other company would not have been willing to take on this project, let alone deliver results like Banks did. Matt and Justin, you guys have a customer for life!
I dont usually leave reviews unless my experience is very good or extremely horrible with a company. Unfortunately this is one of those cases where the service was really bad and it was before I was even a customer.Banks sent Chad to look at my septic situation. He came out the first time. He didnt seem to be very communicative. Nevertheless, he gave me some proposals and said the office will send it to me in writing. I looked at their proposals. As I looked over the proposals, I realized there could be potentially be other solutions that may have not been thought of.I called Banks again to go over the proposals. They had Chad call me back. He sounded very good on the phone and asked me to call the office so he could come out and we could discuss whatever needed to be discussed. The office scheduled a time for him to come out. The visit started out very nice at first. We were discussing different solutions for several minutes. There was a drainage line that I suspected was dry and asked if he could probe it to confirm. At that point it seemed like his patience just ran out or something. I am not sure what was going on with him that day but he just went off. Told me to call other companies and not to call their office again. I doubt I did anything to aggravate him as we were just talking about how to resolve my septic issues. Chad must be very comfortable at his job to go off at customers or potential customers the way he did. It seems like Banks has a lot of customers that they would not mind losing some (based on what Chad said to me).I just wanted to share my experience. I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he was just having a bad day or whatever it could be. As I did not do anything to upset him. However despite that, when customers are about to spend thousands of dollars with your company, I am sure you can treat your customers or even potential customers like me a lot nicer and more professional. This might be a one off situation and I really hope it is, cause Banks is a very popular name in the septic business. Word of mounth does really go around, that is why people pick up the phone and call you out of the tens of other septic companies that are out there.
I Iooked at a few companies whensearching for someone to pump out the septic tank for an elderly family member. I am very glad I went with Banks. They sent the inspector to mark the underground utilities, gave a fair quote, called when they were on their way and were very patient when looking for the tank (it is an old house that has been built on to and we were unaware of the placement of the tank). Paul and the other gentlemen were knowledgeable, nice and patient. It pleasure dealing with them. I would definitely use them again.
I called Banks for an inspection of my septic tank based on multiple referrals from people. They were very friendly and informative on the phone, and when they arrived at my house, they were just as friendly, and explained everything I needed to know. Once they had my tank open, they let me know it was full and I was able to get it pumped right there on the spot. They were probably at my house for maybe 45 minutes! So quick! Ill definitely be calling them in the future if I ever have any issues.
We have been loyal customer with Banks for many years servicing some of our rental properties in the area. Our last experience with them was completely unacceptable and we will no longer direct any of our business their way. They ruptured a major waterline while cleaning out the system. Naturally mistakes happen; however, they been completely unhelpful, rude, and outright defiant in helping us resolve the problem. I even went to the owner of the company; however, all I got was excuses, a patronizing tone, and I hope you have blessed day response. A week later Banks still refuses to fix it and and Im looking at the the prospect of an expensive repair bill. Ninety-five percent he time these service calls go off without a hitch; however, if you are ever in the other 5% category, Banks clearly does not see from the eyes of their customer. They really could care less once they collect their bill. Wish I had lower expectations and could get passed this, but wanted to pass along as this is definitely not the kind of business Id ever recommend to friend or foe. There are plenty of other good operations out there that would agree to repair a waterline if they broke it.
Read the fine print folks! Apparently you need to be a Civil Engineer to be able to recognize whether or not there are any voids in your driveway before their pumper truck pulls in and crushes your driveway. The Banks employee told me to “sign and initial” the contract real quickly. Well, guess what? I shouldn’t have let him rush me into signing without reading the hold harmless for voids in driveways. I tried working it out with Banks, but they weren’t willing.
Stop looking, youve found your septic company! Banks is so great! Friendly service, up front pricing, kind and knowledgeable staff on site with no pressure to add services. We cant recommend them enough. They were on time and got the job done just as promised. We even received a handwritten thank you card. Who does that anymore? Banks does!
Giving highest marks to the Banks Septic team. They responded immediately to our call, made an appointment, then called us to see if they could come earlier than the appointment time. The job was done quickly, professionally and neatly. Much care was taken when digging up the septic tank. We would defiantly recommend them with the highest confidence of them doing a great job!
I called Banks out to our new house (first with septic) to pump our tanks (figured I would empty them since I was going to be building a deck over them and didn’t want to have to worry about it for 3-5 years). They guy came out, told me our tank was “collapsing” and needed a new system. They wouldn’t pump my tank stating it “wasn’t ready”, but charged me $200 for the visit. A few days later I got an email quote for ~ $10k. I called out two other companies, both of which said what I was told was ridiculous and actually called it “robbery”. They both told me that the system was in excellent shape and did not need to be replaced. Don’t trust this company...they will rip you off!
We were the proud owners of an overflowing septic tank on Thanksgiving morning and were hosting 20 people for lunch!!! I called Banks about 9:15 not really expecting someone to answer the phone on Thanksgiving. A very nice lady answered and Banks had someone to my house by 10:30 to pump the tank. This is superior service!! Thank you to Matt and Roger for taking such good care of us in a really big holiday. You will be my go to guys forever!!!
I wanted to express my total satisfaction with Banks Septic and their team of professionals. I had an emergency and they sent someone out almost immediately and saved the day. I had them back out to evaluate my system and instead of just quoting to replace the whole system because it is 24 years old they were able to fix it for a fraction of the cost. Chad and Carlos couldnt have been nicer and they charged me exactly what they said to the penny!
Great experience! Banks went out of their way to accommodate a my client who is the buyer for a home built in the early 80s. They couldn’t guarantee us a time but when we called in the morning they were able to get in touch with the contractor to give us a window. They called as promised 45 mins ahead of time and arrived as scheduled! Chris and Arturo were FANTASTIC! They went out of their way and spent a lot of time trying to locate a septic for an older lake home, the county drawings were inaccurate and didn’t provide much guidance. They found the tank and dug down 6 feet to inspect it. They were courteous and took their time to make sure my client and the seller were happy and comfortable! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
EDIT: Although I didnt get a call from the owner, I did receive a check in the mail from Banks for $175. I assume that was due to the misunderstanding of the emergency fee vs. the standard fee. I appreciate the reimbursement and have adjusted my star rating to a 3 (up from a 1). I must give credit for being responsive to get onsite and then to try and correct the dollar amount I agreed to on the phone. - Tim~~~~~ Original Post~~~~~VERY disappointed based on other reviews. Net result of my emergency call: $425 out of pocket and the rude technician told me to call a plumber - did not pump the septic and kept telling me that even though he didnt pump, I still had to pay his emergency fee of $250. I called the office next business day to let them know this seemed uncharacteristic and frankly expensive for having spent no more than 30 minutes doing nothing. They said the owner would be calling me back, but never heard anything. Will not use them again and I do not recommend. When I initially called them, I told them I was not sure if this was a septic issue or a plumbing issue. The nice people on the phone told me the technician could help determine which. When the technician called, he was only interested in making sure I knew it would be $250 for the emergency service (which actually turned into $425 when they added their standard service fee to the emergency service fee. When he arrived, I asked if he wanted me to show him where the issue was and his response was, nope, dont care. Im just here to pump the septic.. After finding the tank and realizing that was not the issue, he finally agreed to let me show him the issue - his response Ill take a look, but youll still have to pay the emergency fee. So, after tracking is dirty boots though my house and taking a look, he told me to call a plumber and asked for his $250 + $175 = $425 in fees and was gone. I never received a call back from the owner, but would be happy to discuss with him/her and provide an updated review if we can determine this is not standard practice. So, unless you are looking to get ripped off and greeted rudely when you have an emergency, dont call Banks Septic.
Eric from Banks came out to my office we were having major septic issues. Thought maybe we just had to have our tank drained. Eric and his coworker Jesus found the problem it was ( system is very old) a cracked drain line leading to the tank. These guys were so professional and polite. I will be recommending them to all my friends and colleagues.
- Professional and honest business conducts- Truthfully recommended me not to pump the septic tank. I ended up ordered for the pumping service any rate since the cost differences between inspection and pumping were $110- I would have rated them Excellent if they were able telling me a day before or in advance a shorter timeframe that they would be at my house for rendering service instead of in the PM- I have asked them to call me back in a year or so for another service call- I trust their professionalismAdditional comments a day after I posted this review- The owner of the company called me today June 6/2013 for a quick follow up. He wanted to be sure I have a better understanding of my septic tank configuration including the pipe construction. In summary, he wanted me to know the maintenance plan I agreed with his company is appropriate and he would be doing the same thinng if the house was his.- For the owners due diligence effort I upgraded Banks Quality from Very Good to Excellent!Larry
Roger from Banks Septic came out to pump our septic system today and did a great job. Being a first-time homeowner, I had a lot of questions regarding how to care for the tank properly and what to watch for if things go wrong, and Roger answered all of them. Would recommend to anyone looking for a septic company.
Had Banks pump our septic. This was the third time they have serviced our tank. Had the utilities and sprinklers marked. A guy on their crew decided to prod fifteen feet away from the tank. Now I have a geyser from my sprinkler system in the front yard. Cost $193 to get get it fixed. DO NOT USE Banks. Horrible service.
Called at 0930 on a Saturday morning and Casey was at our house by 1:00. He worked very hard digging to uncover the septic tank, then had to dig in another to access the intake pipe. Casey explained everything he was doing and the price charged was very reasonable considering the timing being on the weekend. I will certainly recommend them to neighbors.
Banks was the lowest price of all of the septic tank contractors. They installed a whole new septic system for us, and they came on the day we were promised. The job was completed in one day and it passed inspection. The guys went over and above what I expected with grading the yard afterwards. I would highly recommend them.
Prices were in line with everyone else I called but my neighbor had used them so I had them come out to pump septic tank for normal 3-4 year maintenance, the guy that came out was very young and rude, had 3-4 other kids with him which seemed odd and they were being loud and boisterous in my side yard and street. I was shocked at how unprofessional they behaved and will not use them again.
(Repair septic pipe to drain field): When we were told by Matt that he would have their office call to schedule the service (exact words) and after a few days I didnt hear anything, we called to follow up and ask. When asking about getting scheduled, we were told he was trying to work us in the next day. I was very surprised as a homeowner we would need to be apprised of scheduled work ahead of time and that the schedule would work for us. Upon expressing our concern over the lack of communication and appropriate scheduling, we were told he didnt need our business. Do not always believe the top rated Angies List...the guy threatened me with his lawyer if I left this review. His receptionist is a real piece of work, too.
I was very pleased. I recently moved in to my house and wasn’t sure when the septic tank was last pumped. Paul dug a hold to access the tank and made sure to keep the mulch bed over my tank from getting messed. He observed the tank did not need pumping out, checked that the system was functioning properly, and then cleaned up, leaving the mulch bed the way he found it. And, he charged me less than I was quoted because he did not pump out the tank. I will call Banks again in five years.
Receptionist was friendly and understood my needs. Appointment was made for the following day. Later that evening utility workers came and marked my utilities for safe digging. As promised, the driver called in the morning to let me know he was on the way and showed up shortly after. The driver and worker were very professional and did an outstanding job locating my tank and draining it. They also answered my questions and made recommendations. When they finished with the draining the hole was filled back neatly and the grass chunks put back on top. You could hardly tell they had been in my yard!I felt the price was fair and I would highly recommend Banks Tanks to any of my neighbors!
Beware of this company!! If you have to hire them, stand by and watch them work to verify they actually do the job. My father has a home that he bought over 25 years ago. Last year he thought it might be a good idea to get the septic pumped since it’s been over 25 years. Banks company came out and said they completed the job. My father and myself was at work so we couldn’t verify that they actually did it. Last week he flushed a toilet and the septic came back up Into the house. He called 2 different plumbing companies to come check his problem and both had the same response... the septic tank was full.. now it’s only been 1 year since banks came out. I find it hard to believe that the septic lasted 25 years without needing pumped and 1 year after banks come out the tank is overflowing full. Of course the company denies everything. But we have the invoice from where it said they pumped many many gallons out which wasn’t the case. Legal action is being taken and I hope whoever reads this thinks twice about using this company
The folks from Banks Septic arrived promptly (unlike the first company I called), did an excellent job with the cleaning and inspection, and didnt give me any BS about my septic tank being broken (unlike the second company I called). I am very grateful to them and highly recommend them!
When we booked (both myself & my neighbor) we specifically and independently asked on 2 separate calls if there were any extra charges. We were both told NO and that the price was all inclusive. We both heard a lot of other companies low ball you on the price and then nickel and dime you once thay arrive so this is one of the main reasons we chose Banks and we both relied upon their answers. About 10 minutes after the tech arrived I was told that they needed to use a backhoe (because the hole was more than 3 feet deep) and it would be an extra $125 charge. When I called Banks they offered to do nothing about it despite acknowledging that they dont tell customers about extra charges..... apparently not even when 2 people specially ask them. The tech even said to call and yell at them as it is a common problem that they dont say anything and then he gets stuck talking to an upset customer. The tech was really nice but I am very dissatisfied with Banks corporate level customer service. If Banks would like to call me to remedy thesituation i will be happy to update this review.
Replaced a float switch in a holding tank for a septic system. Another company quoted me $750 more for the exact same job. Very fast same day service, knowledgeable and got the job done quickly and didn’t try to up-sell me on any other work or products. These guys are the best.
Called them out to look at my septic tank, and was instantly told it was a 1000$ problem. I needed approval to get that work done from my landlord, and the employees were getting very frustrated with the time it was taking to get approval because it was almost quitting time. I sent them on their way, and went with another company.
Kudos to Amy & Bonnie wonderful to work with. Chris and his crew, that came out to the house, were great--top notch. Were moving to the other side of Pickens Co and have already made sure that Banks can help us with our new house if the septic system needs work. I highly recommend these folks.
Had what was probably the first routine maintenance pump-out done on a 40 year old system. Service was quick and efficient including locating the tank, we had no idea where it was. They also have their own treatment plant so you know where stuff is going. Highly recommended.
We had a septic disaster here yesterday afternoon. Tank was filled, blocked and the nastiest of nasty stuff was flooding my downstairs from both bathrooms. I tried almost 2 hours to find anyone who could come save me. Everyone was booked solid. Banks Septic was able to schedule the next morning, but called me back(!!!) when one of their techs arrived earlier than expected. Roger and his partner came right away, despite it bring late afternoon, and worked MAGIC here in Big Canoe.Work was professional and I recommend Banks Septic heartily. Job was above and beyond ... Thank you for everything!
Well, I shouldve done this in 2010 when Matt and the guys gave me a new drain field. Work was performed at the price quoted and in a timely manner. But fast forward 4 years and a few months to today......when I needed my tank pumped and inspected. Banks is a bit far for a pump and pink plumber was running a special. So the tech tried to tell me my tank wont pass inspection due to a cut lid and no baffle T....I called Banks and withing 5 mins...Matt was calling me telling me to kick them out and that they are upselling me. He gave me Our county inspectors # who told me the same thing My tank is up to code.....Matt saved me over $1200 bucks!!! He also offered to inspect the tank for free if our County didnt have time. Good people, knowledgeable staff....fast and friendly. Not sure what else you could need from your septic team.?!
The banks septic guy first of all looked like he had been doing too many drugs. I paid extra due to the location. He accessed 1/2 the tank then said he wasn’t going to do the other 1/2 bc it was not an easy access. My tenant was home luckily and got him to finish the job. There was something caught in the line and my tenant brought out a snake to put in the drain hole. The banks septic guy through it on the ground and grabbed a twig and started poking it. Once it was all said and done the problem was not fixed. I called banks septic back and the woman said she would look into it and call me back. But she didn’t. I had to spend even more money and get someone out here that was able to help me. $600 was waisted using banks septic.
Please dont use this company to inspect your septic tank. We paid for an inspection and an empty before we bought our house. We have a inspecrion report stating that the tank looked great.Now- we are having thousands of dollars of issues (3 months later) because our tank was in a state of disrepair.Called company several times to give them an opportunity to rectify the situation. They wer3 not able to come day of.When i spoke with the owner about possibilities to fix this situation monetarily, he started cussing at me, hung up on me several times, and said things like if i could get it through your head. You would be crazy to use this company.
As far as Septic I cant rate them, I was on the side of the road with a flat tire and 2 very nice men asked if I was okay. I did not have all the tools I needed to change the tire, they called some of the work crew and waited on the side of the road with me and tried every possible way to change my tire with the tools they had. One of the other crew members arrived and they were able to change my tire. They did not have to do that, it was an act of kindness and I appreciate it very much. If anyone I know needs any septic service I will recommend them. They didnt have to help me and they chose to that right there is men that I would recommend any day of the week! Thanks yall!!
As a new home owner I didnt know where the septic tank was. The Guys came out found it in under 2 min and dug just where the lid was. So my yard is still intact....Wow. Took all of 20 maybe 30 min, the price quoted over the phone was exactly what I paid. Very nice staff answered some questions I had about what was safe to go into the septic tank....I will definitely use them again and will be telling anyone I know that has a tank to use them!!
This is a long explanation but worth reading. My first experience was great so when we had an issue they were my first call. Our septic backed up and we pumped the tank. My field was flooded by a leaking toilet. i had it pumped twice more(expected). I was going to do a terralft and a nice bunch of guys from Elijay came down Thy informed me the outlet pipe was disconnected and told me to do it locally. I had banks come out a pump it again and I asked for a quote to reattach the pipe . In the meantime I contacted another company and they ended up doing the work. when I called the owner the first time he told me the guys from elijay were triying to rip me off. After I had the work done I called to tell the owner I was disappointed and I had to pump it 4 times with him and put in a french drain. I spent $2,000 with Banks. He then cursed me out. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY
This company saved us!! We received an outrageous quote from another company requiring $4,700 of work. I asked all my friends who they trust and recommend and Banks came up from 3 people. I am SO GLAD we called them!!! There was nothing wrong with our system and walked away with the certification letter we needed!!!! THANK YOU BANKS SEPTIC!!! You saved us thousands of dollars!!!!!
NOT ALL PUMPERS ARE CREATED EQUALAfter another pumper tried unsuccessfully for 1.5 hours to locate my tank, Lalo located it in five minutes. Paul and Lalo were professional and personable and they educated me on the how-to of keeping a tank healthy. Great people, highly recommended and cheaper than the company that failed!
As a realtor, I am very vigilant when I am recommending services to my clients that they will have to pay for themselves. Banks Septic did a job for a client, and saved him literally thousands of dollars! And they did what they said, when they said, and how they said they would do it. I highly recommend this company!
Thank you to the two guys from Banks...they were on time, called when they were 30 minutes out, they got to work immediately… They solved the problem, and were significantly better priced than the one other estimate we got . Second time we have used them in last 15 years. Both times honest and fair and did good work
I was told that someone would need to be home to flush the toilet and pay them. Neither my husband or I are available until late afternoon and they said their last afternoon appointment varies from day to day. We made an appointment first thing in the morning instead, even though it would make one of us a little bit late for work. We were promised a phone call between 8-8:30. I called at 8:20 to see if anyone was on their way, and the woman on the phone was extremely rude and condescending, telling me their drivers need to fill up with gas before they make their first stop at 8:45 each morning. So they lied to me about the timing as well as talking to me very rudely and as if I was an idiot. I recommend you find another service. I have looked on line and there are two close by.
Agree with the other negative reviews on the owner’s short temper and can’t believe after the issue was resolved, I got a hateful email. Should hire a customer service representative to deal with unhappy clients and not deal directly with them if this is how you react. But have a blessed day!
I wish I could not give any stars. This company, Stephanie Gravitt and her husband Matt stole our money for 106 days even after we questioned their work. They said the work was done yet 106 day later the work wasnt done and sewage backed up into or guest bathroom. Banks came back out after Stephanie yelled and was rude saying they had done no neglect. Hours later they admit that the work was never done and they fraudulently took our money leaving us with a failed line and system for 106 days. They didnt respond or look at what they have done to our home for 6 days because Stephanies husband was out of the country killing animals. Who kills animals for fun? This company cares nothing about their work just how they can steal and rape people. Do not use them. Their employees urged us to call Roto Rooter, laughed and made fun of us because they said that Matt knew the entire time the work wasnt done and laughed at how upset we were that they tore our entire lawn up, killing our sod, busting our irrigation lines and cutting our landscape lighting all because we live in a million dollar home they think its funny. They also exposed our family to germs and health risks and our dogs to health risks. This company needs new ownership or to go out of business.
NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY! I am a realtor and referred this company to a client. WHAT A DISASTER!! They ONLY had one job and screwed it up ROYALLY!! The septic tank was missing the lid and THEY SAID IT WAS THERE ON THE INSPECTION!! 3 months later.... their lawn is severally damaged and the OWNER of the company REFUSED to pay it AND CUSSED OUT my client.

2022-06-06I contracted with Banks to replace a 60 year old septic tank. Banks installed a 1500 gal tank and 260 ft of new field lines. The Banks team was outstanding from start to finish. They had the best price for my job, which was not inexpensive. The Banks team on installation day was on the job early and keep me informed of what was going to happen. While the job was very disruptive to my yard, they worked with me to minimize impact on the yard. The clean up was great and the yard looked better than I expected, given the amount of digging done for the new field lines. Banks has a great relationship with the Dekalb county heath department and the approvals & final inspection went smoothly. I would highly recommend Banks Septic for any septic tank work. I was truly impressed with their work and professionalism.

2022-08-04We contacted Banks to get our new homes septic system inspected, pumped and add risers for future clean outs. We werent sure if it has ever been pumped out in the 20 year life span so we wanted to go ahead and be safe about it and not have an emergency later. Scheduling was easy and they were able to come out the same week I originally contacted them. The gentlemen that came out were friendly, respectful and Ill be in a stinky profession very positive and uplifting. They dug up the hole for pumping and installed risers and cleaned our yard above and beyond what you would expect. I highly recommend this company and we will certainly remain Banks customers.

2022-04-26If I could give Banks 10 stars I would! I never write reviews but could not end my day today with giving the BIGGEST shoutout ever to Matt and his whole crew who worked tirelessly to fix a cracked septic tank that our former builder left us with just 5 years ago. Something completely unexpected for us… as upsetting as it was, I literally couldn’t of been happier (and I am fussy! It’s hard to find good contractors these day!) with everything they did to repair/replace the entire job and go above & beyond on every detail for us. I could almost cry, we are so blessed and thankful to Banks Septic for everything they did for us the past two days! Thank you specifically to Matt, an owner that is right in the trenches with his guys working tirelessly… all the crew, his sons… unbelievable job!

2022-06-07After being rejected by another septic company Banks came out and they were nothing but successful. We had many obstacles. Steep driveway, no direct access for digging equipment, no exact location for the tank, irrigation pipes, pool plumbing pipes running straight over where the tank should be. Tank had never (30 years) been pumped out. After they started digging they progressed very gently and were able to save our pool plumbing and get to the tank! It ended up roughly 5 feet deep underground. Casey was very professional and we feel so relieved. We will never use another company again! Oh and we are definitely putting in risers for next pump out!

2022-04-02Absolutely stellar company and crew. Called another company that came out and before they even stepped foot in my yard was already talking about thousands of dollars in repairs. Banks came out, assessed everything and got my tank pumped out same day (emergency situation.) I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone that needs septic work. They truly only pumped my tank and not my wallet.

2022-08-05AWESOME SERVICE!!!! Do NOT call any other septic tank company. We had two septic tank companies come to our home. Both told us that we had to tear out our concrete to find a second tank. Banks Septic came out and informed us that there was no second tank. Our septic system is comprised of one tank and it did not need to be cleaned. The technician told us to simply buy Brewers Yeast and pour into our toilet every 3 months. This will keep our septic tanks clean. BANKS SEPTIC is the ONLY septic service you should call.

2022-04-15Banks came in and saved the day with my new septic field line system. I was months behind scheduling a solution with another company and Banks provided a fair price and did great work. I have to call out David and BJ for being so friendly and hardworking the entire day they were here. Just happy go lucky experts that really did the extra things by flattening the yard to my liking and helping clean up the obvious mess. Grateful to have BJ and David on this job as you could tell they had been doing this for years to a high standard.

2022-08-11Can I give only 5 stars? We bought our house 4 years ago. Found out that not only had the septic tank not been emptied since construction in 1985 but the previous owners then built an immovable shed directly OVER the tank.Clay and his crew came out twice, once to find the tank and again a few days later after I had cut the floor out of the shed for access. They then proceeded to spend the next 4 hours using picks and shovels to go down 3.5 feet into hard packed earth just to uncover it.And then they spent 45 minutes trying to pry the lid off and finally had to break it to get in and were apologetic about it. Im not going to tell you what they charged but it was BEYOND reasonable. From beginning to end the experience was the best I could have hoped for. I will NEVER go anywhere else and I suggest anyone reading this feel the same way.

2022-06-24WOW,great service, called and they came out next day. I didnt know where septic tank was, but they located quickly - in yard and they had to dig down about 3 feet to get to lid, took 3 of them about 30 minutes to get to. Then motor on truck was out, they had to leave and get another truck and come back, about 30 minutes. but thet returned, pmped and filled hole, looks like it had never been dug oout. I expected extra charge for digging ( we all know how companies are now) but no extra charge, the supervisor Diego worked as hard as his workers, smiled, and finished the job with a smile. Diego and crew were great, would recommend and use again.
