I had the BEST experience here! We tried the Howell Mill location for Girls’ Night and the outdoor seating was the perfect setting! We tried a little bit of everything and it was all delicious. The Guns & Roses cocktail is absolutely bomb. To top it off, the service was exceptional. Ashley, Emory, and the entire team were truly top notch. They were kind, funny, and attentive; couldn’t have been better!10/10 would recommend!
They have the absolutely best red sangria in Atlanta period!!!! I went on a Sunday afternoon it was a really chilled vibe. First time going, sat at the bar and the bartender was amazing , wish I wouldve gotten her name. This is a nice place for a date or a weekend ladies brunch. Nice atmosphere.. highly recommend! Please try their red sangria when you go! I promise you wont be disappointed 😌
The chocolate cake was phenomenal, warm center and moist with a cream poured on top with almond crumbles. The small plates here are excellent and sharable for 2 - I recommend the hanger steak, but the boards are sharable for 4. Cocktails are mixed at the table and the interior makes for a cool atmosphere.
Great place! Its valet only parking that costs $3. I made reservations for 7:30 online (couldnt add notes). We arrived a little late due to traffic and missing a turn into the place. We checked in around 7:35-7:40. We were seated at 8:05. I dont know if we were seated late due to arriving 5 min late, but I was confused about having to wait so long with having a reservation. It was incredibly busy for a Monday though, there were at least 2 groups waiting outside for tables. We had gotten drinks at the bar and took them to the table. Our server was kind and made good recommendations when 3 of the things we wanted from the charcuterie board options were out. We got 3 tapas each, and were given a free tapas that was made by mistake in the kitchen. Overall, if I went back, or of you could only order 3, I recommend the brussel sprouts, the whipped cheese board, and the truffle steak. All three were amazing. I would skip the charcuterie for the whipped cheese, and if youre still hungry after the 3, youll want a second order of the brussel sprouts and the steak- trust me. I would come back again.
Made reservation for 7:00. Got there on time, checked in but still had to wait almost an hour. There was a table for 5 outside. My daughter inquired and she was told that they had no server for the table. I ordered calamari from the bar along with a sangria. The bartender brought it outside with no napkins! My daughter and I then sat at the table where we were told they had no server for. While eating the calamari, a hostess came out to tell us to sit somewhere else.I simply looked at her and said, we made reservation for 7:00 and still do not have a table 40 minutes later. She asked for the name and then said, oh, I was going to sit you here. Thankfully, the server Marcel made a difference.
Ambience? Check!Food Quality and Taste? Check!Speed of Service? Check!Social Safety? Check!Cleanliness? Check! So what helps Barcelona stand out? The personal touch that each staff member adds to the diners experience. They really go that extra mile to make it a memorable experience for each diner. From taking care of personal preferences and food allergies to conversational details. We ordered vegetarian dishes - Potato Bravas was well done and I dished out on the accompanying red sauce, Brussels Sprouts came with a pleasant surprise element that I will let other diners discover, Shishisto Peppers were an evident favorite based on how many tables were ordering it. Our paella was milder than our preferred taste profile but definitely rich on taste, could do with about 15 more minutes of heat as I like a little char at the bottom. Cocktails were deliciously done - the Bourbon Spice Rack hit the right notes with cardamom and lavender bitters, my wife loved the El Mestizo so much she ordered it twice. We ordered the crepe for our dessert and oh boy! Was it the right finale!! Whoa!!We are surely returning. This is a place worthy of selecting for celebrations. You bring the occasion, they make it memorable.
I really want to give more stars…the wine flights were a perfect way to taste many wines, the atmosphere is cute, the beef empanadas were delicious and our sever was cool…What wasn’t was the loooong time we spent waiting for food only to be told they were out of 4 of the 6 items we ordered. This happened after we sat waiting for our table at the bar…perhaps they could have wanted us that if we waited for our table we wouldn’t get food? Just a thought.
Great place for a couple’s night out/ girls night out. I didn’t see many guys hanging out so can’t comment on that :-). We had a reservation for 8:45 but couldn’t get a table till 9:30 PM. I didn’t mind that as the vibe was excellent. Bar was the area to hang around while you wait for table. Once we got the table; the food service was quick. Paella takes time so be prepared to wait and e hit the tapas. We were there for almost 4 plus hours and it was still happening. I would go there again anytime. 4 stars just because they can take the reservation but can’t hold it (Jerry Seinfeld)
Service was incredible, food was incredible, all great. I loved my time here. The patatas, croquettes, fig, paella, bacon wrapped dates etc- all INCREDIBLE. I studied abroad in spain and can say this compares. Our server was so nice too (i feel so bad I forgot her name it was a few weeks ago) but she let us sample the wine and worked with us on allergies and was just so attentive. I will be back- this is the better of the two location in atl.
My fiancé has been raving about this place ever since Ive known him, so when we moved to Atlanta, I knew this would be a first stop. All I can say is WOW. Barcelona did not disappoint. Their Guns and Rosés and red sangria were perfect. We did tapas and loved all of them. The chorizo with figs is very underrated (dont let the figs stop you!). The staff was incredible and the manager was super friendly. The atmosphere was trendy, fun, and chill. We will most definitely return. Do yourself a favor and go here!
After a lot of researching and being indecisive about where to dine for my birthday with my girlfriend while abroad in Atlanta, we had decided to give Barcelona here a shot.We gave them a call first to see what the schedule is like during these Covid times and while on the line we were able to place ourselves on the wait list which at the time was 35-45 minutes. We were really grateful for that gesture because when we arrived (right at that 35 minute wait mark) we were greeted by a very long line of people waiting to be seated, and we were able to get seated right away. That brings us to the dining experience... Wow, it starts with the design of the restaurant. A divided dining area which splits into the left side where a bar is located, and a right side where the open kitchen sits, split in between by a win cellar wall. The right side where we sat had a sitting in a market feeling, set by shelves with cooking supplies decorating the spaces between the tables, and then the open kitchen where you can see the cooks whip up the meals.Next was the food. Im no fan of Tapas, but this experience has definitely changed my opinion. The selection is large and rich, and worth saying it is also fairly priced (with respect to us coming from Miami). We have had at least 8 different plates, including steamed mussels, sliced steak, chorizo, pork belly, flat iron cod and fried potatoes. EVERYTHING was exceptional. The pork belly was phenomenal, it had a melt-in-your-mouth texture, and was well accompanied by the bed of polenta it laid on.The service was great, the food was incredible, the setting was a perfect mix of high-end dining and a touch of casual, all with a price id deem reasonable for a date night or birthday occasion. Definitely recommend, and would consider hitting it up again next time Im in ATL!
I am consistently impressed with the food and drink at Barcelona; today was no different. The service and sangria were good, but the six tapas and two desserts my group ordered were exceptional. I highly recommend the patatas bravas, chorizo with figs, the croquetas, and the burnt cheesecake for dessert - but order anything off the menu and it wont disappoint. Looking forward to coming back.
Every time i walk through the door i feel like I’m at home and know I’m gonna to get 5 star service. The food and the service is unmatched. The amazing managers Amber, Emory, and Lonnie, and Tiffany. The Server Arthur and especially the Bartenders Fabricio, Laura, and Natalie make for a great time! Fabricio is the Best mixologist ever! I’m at this location at least twice a week and can’t wait for Summer 2022.
The food was good. We loved the cheese and meat plate. The eggplant and the steak were a little too salty. Wines were okay. The only thing bothered us was the whole area was under constructions. Many roads were closed and the traffic was bad. It looked like the construction would be going for a while.
We were seated for our 9:45 reservation at 10:36 PM. The restaurant closed at 11:00 PM. The hostess told us that they were extending the kitchen hours to 12:00 tonight because of the delay. The kitchen did not stay open. The servers rushed our orders and by the time we got our drinks, the bar was closed. The food was ok. We have given this place a shot 4 times and each time they disappoint, we won’t be coming back.
This is an amazing restaurant! My friends and I dined here late one weekend night (open until 2am on weekend nights) and the service was still excellent. Our waitress Paula was great! She pointed out tasty tapas to try and seated us near the cozy fireplace. Nice selection of drinks. My favorite items on the menu so far are the chicken entree which was very juicy and flavorful as well as the beef empanadas that had the perfect touch of spicy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, cant wait to visit again!
Okay so this review would have been 5 stars, because my server was great and the atmosphere was beautiful. I’m giving 3 stars because I’ve had food poisoning since eating here last Friday...it’s now Wednesday (and I’ve never had food poisoning before in my life). I enjoyed my experience here but the fact that the food made me sick changed my perspective on the restaurant. I’m not sure if I’ll return. Also our distilled water tasted weird. I just hope that they are adhering to proper food handling procedures. My friend was also sick the following morning, but felt better half way though the day. So as a recap, A+ on experience and vibe...D on quality of food. The meatballs, potatoes bravas and red sangria were delicious, but I’m unsure what made us sick. The doctor said it could’ve been as simple as an employee not washing their hands..
Great place for tapas and drinks. We had the charcuterie platter and a bunch of tapas. Our favorite were the potatoes and the hanger steak. We had rose flights and a.few glasses of wine. It was a wonderful experience. This is a great place to take your lover on a date, or to have an intimate dinner. Also could be a great place for parties or to host clients. The servers were very knowledgeable about the food and made great suggestions. Half of the things we ordered were from.server recommendations. Has valet parking which is also nice. It was around some other restaurants that you could walk.around to and get more drinks... very nice experience
Really great spot to take in a nice brunch or dinner! Both a great variation and great service witnessed in my visit. The interior of the restaurant is quite unique but gives it a vintage feel. Coupled with the amazing tapas, this was an unforgettable experience. I’ll be back!
Good experience at the Barcelona Wine Bar. This would be a 5 star, but the seating just wasnt comfortable. It wasnt stable on the ground and it was an uncomfortable stool. Try to find a different spot to sit if you go.I had the red sangria. It was pretty tasty, but there was way too much ice and too little drink. The food was good. Between 4 of us we had 5 tapas, and that was a good amount. We had the meatballs, calamari, mussels, empanadas, and potatoes. I wouldnt recommend getting both the meatballs and beef empanadas. They are pretty much the same thing. The rest was good. Appreciated the bread.
We Loved Barcelona. Had a pitcher of Sangria along with a Burbon Spice Cabinet, and Busy B (might have the name wrong on that one) drinks. All were wonderful. Some of the better drinks in town. The B drink had a smoked pepper in it that gave a great blend of flavors. We literally didnt have a dish we didnt enjoy. However some of my favorites were: steip steak (perfectly prepared! ), potatoes bravas, bacon wrapped dates, croquets, sausage and figs. Just really great food.Service was very friendly, but a little on the slow side.We will absolutely be back.
I love the ambiance of this place nestle in a nice little cove of other restaurants & shops. The valet greated us with a friendly smile & introduced himself by name. We had reservations for 5pm & were seated promptly. I would recommend reservations. Our waiter Andreas was superb! The Executive Chef Joseph Paire came to the table to address my shellfish allergy & came back the table to check if the food was ok. Everything we tried was scrumptious! We really enjoyed sharing the small plates. We tried the Chorizo Picante with Valdeon Cheese, spicy beef empanadas, Chorizo with sweet & sour figs, halibut a la plancha, water melon salad, kale salad, duck breast, & duck confit. All were very delectable bites of heaven.
Cannot emphasize enough how amazing this place is. The menu is always changing but they keep their classic menu items as well so its a nice balance. Great ambiance and crowd. Great bar to sit at. Definitely a good place to catch up with friends or have a date. Out of all places in Atlanta, I always find myself coming here more often than not. Definitely worth a visit!
Beautifully done tapas. We ordered 6 tapas and the smoked salmon and asparagus (recommended by our server) were outstanding. Lovely wines and flights of wine. Our server (sorry to forget the name, but she was slim in build, had a nose ring) was nice and attentive. The manager was very welcoming. Great ambience. Weve been here before, and it didnt disappoint.
After being disrespected prior to putting in an order at another dining establishment down the road, my bf and I left and decided to finally try out O-Ku. Completely turned our night around. No reservation, so we ended up on the roof, amazing view, friendly service, and top notch food and drinks, including mocktails! We will definitely be back.
This was the single best dining experience ever!!! I brought my friend here because she is a wine lover and as a birthday present. This was our first time dining here but after what I experienced, it definitely wont be my last. So when we arrived we were greeted by Ron. He was very personable and professional, asking all the right questions like, Is this your first time here? Once he sat us, he let me know who our servers would be, and yes I did say servers with an s....We were a table of 3 and had 2 servers!!! Speaking of servers, Nick and Randy are the BOMB!!!!!! They were so attentive, professional, knowledgeable, funny, and friendly. Randy recommended a great Pinot Grigio to my friend. It was harvested in a volcano in Greece. She loved it!!! Im not even a Pinot Grigio drinker and I liked it a lot. I ultimately ordered a White Wine Sangria, which was delicious as well. Oh and Randy also recommended a tasty Riesling to me. So, when our third friend arrived, she was carrying a Cuban cigar box type purse. The manager Eric came to our table and complemented her on it. Later, he surprised us by bringing us each a drink called Perrucchi. It is a white Vermouth that is drank straight up in Cuba. OMG!!!! It was the absolute best. It had a twist of orange in it....Wow!!! You definitely have to try it! So, this is a tapas and wine bar....Besides having great wine, the food was delicious as well. We ordered the Beef Empanadas, Swordfish, Meatballs, Ceviche, and Hangar Steak! I wasnt a huge fan of the Empanadas however, my friends liked them. My favorites were the Meatballs and Ceviche! Delish!!! They served the Ceviche with popcorn???? I was confused at first, but after a brief explanation as to why, I tried it together and liked it a lot. Since, it was my friends birthday we were served complimentary champagne and crepes with a birthday candle! All in all it was a wonderful experience, even the valet crew was awesome! Special shout out again to Ron, Eric, Nick, and Randy!!! You are the real MVPs. You made my friends birthday evening unforgettable!!!!!!
Barcelona is a great place for brunch and dinner. This Westside location is beautiful inside and out. We eat at Barcelona probably once a month, and also travel to the other location when were on that side of town. Service is excellent food is always great and they give you free appetizer coupons every time you get there! Check out some of the pictures below. 5+⭐
My husband and I went to Barcelona on Howell Mills for our date night and it was FABULOUS. Chef Anthony food was great and his attention to details and flavor was on point. The flavors in chicken and fish my husband ordered was very tasteful, juicy, moist and spicy. I enjoyed everything Chef Anthony made that night. The food, the wine, the ambiance and the company was EXCEPTIONAL. Great place for a date night.
By far one of the best restaurants in Atlanta. The chef is marvelous. The servers are attentive and kind. The manager is so wonderful and personable. They truly make sure the customers are content and happy. I will forever and always love this place! Thank you Barcelona!
My group made a reservation for 3 on a Sunday night. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and checked in with the hostess. We saw multiple parties of 3 walk up after us (without a reservation) and they were told by that same hostess the wait would be 40-45 minutes. 5 minutes later, all groups were seated before us (of the exact party size). My group waited 34 minutes to be seated (after our reservation time) which was insanely frustrating. However, our waiter was Drew and he was fantastic!!! The best customer service and very knowledgeable of the menu. The only reason we would come back is just to be served by Drew but now we know NOT to make a reservation since they dont care about that anyways.
Well priced food and delicious. Food came out very quickly. This is a good introduction to Spanish food and having been to Spain and having family members from Spain, this is pretty typical of tapas. While it may not be completely authentic, it captures the spirit of what tapas are meant to represent. Everything was bursting with flavor and didnt require a million ingredients to give you a quality taste. The patatas bravas were especially delicious.
Amazing brunch menu!! Charcuterie & Cheese was an excellently decadent and a satisfying choice for any range of a developed pallet, with an array of aged or cured meats and aged cheeses, such us 6 month menchego and a sweeter brie like soft cheese; with fig spread and a prosciutto like cured ham on soft bread, it all paired perfectly with an off menu original cocktail made by our server matt that, was something like, a pineapple rum mojito. Lovely afternoon. To think, we were going to go to the foodtruck park and market; still on my list.
Great food and excellent service. Definitely make reservations, as it can get pretty busy during peak times.I went on a Sunday night, and was sat near the bar, on a rickety stool (the floor is interesting, yet made up of stone which means the majority of the stools were rickety). Right away, without me even having to say anything, the staff noticed I was uncomfortable and offered to move us to a booth. John was our server and he was fantastic; very informative and his recommendations were spectacular. This place is a must for people who love tapas and wine.
BRILLIANT. We were there for a,special event, had a reservation and were taken right to our table. Courteous service, best food ever. It was a spectacular and memorable meal. From the smokey cocktails to the paella and all the tapas. I cant recommend this more highly! This will be our number one Atlanta restaurant!
Visited this place on a Wednesday with a group of 5. It was extremely busy during the evening. I liked their tapas menu and everything food that they served. The drinks were very watered down. We ordered a wine sangria pitcher, cocktails etc but this was a pattern. The place has a good vibe and the staff is very energetic. However , The biggest disappointment for us was our server girl Murphey. I never had such a rude service in my life. So much delay in just serving the complementary bread followed by that rude attitude. I don’t think I am going back to this location of Barcelona again because of the bad service.
This restaurant is one of the best places to hang out with friends while trying delicious food. The customer service is fabulous. I had ordered a nonalcoholic whiskey root, and the first time around it was made well, but then that bartender left and the second round tasted very different. The bartender came to my table and apologized and asked what type of drink I would like and created something new and very delicious! I really appreciate the time and effort she took to ensure I had a pleasant experience.
Over rated! They were extremely busy when we got there we told the hostess we just wanted to sit at the bar. She didn’t even look up from her tablet and told us to sit “where ever we found an empty seat or table”. We found a small table in a corner and had a sever come and tell us the table was not ready for anyone to be sat there. We offered to moved and he said it was fine and that he would be back to tend to us. He brought back a different man who straight up said we couldn’t sit there and “needed to move” he just so happened to have two empty seats at the bar. At this point we are embarrassed since he was very loud about the whole ordeal. We go sit at the bar and the bartender had an attitude. Basically threw the menus at us, hardly talked and slammed our tab down. She rolled her eyes a few times at us and a few other people she was tending to. We will definitely not be back and couldn’t get out of there fast enough. So sad people are leaving this place good reviews since it’s what made us want to come here in the first place our experience was terrible.
I just wanted to shout out our server at Barcelona Wine Bar! Arthur did an awesome job accommodating our every request-and they were many😅! The four of us sent him back-and-forth many times, and he kept a very kind and pleasant attitude- was funny, too! The food was great and I finally got my drink right where I wanted it to be! Great ambience and great people. The manager checked on us 3 times! Can’t go wrong with them- great customer service!
Excellent service, outstanding tapas! Still a wonderful variety considering its a limited menu at the moment. I particularly loved the hanger steak with garlic aioli (a must try). Valet parking was on point as well.My only issue is with the seats - all hard wood, not friendly for those with certain spinal/back issues. I had to improvise and bring an item out of my car to fold as a cushion in order to sit. Wont stop me from eating there again, next time Ill bring my Ortho pillow, but wanted to get that tip out there for others with similar restrictions.I will definitely come back as their menu expands or as they bring in new seasonal items!!
We were walking around trying to find a place to eat around Howell Mill and we could smell the food from Barcelona from the street. We knew we had to go. We didnt have a reservation so we had to wait 45 minutes, but wow. It was worth it! Our server, Lani (I apologize if I spelled his name wrong), was amazing. He was super attentive, gave great recommendations and knew the menu well. We ended up getting the Whiskey Root as a drink, the Hanger Steak and the Patatas Bravas for a meal. He and the kitchen made sure to accommodate my food allergy and every single item we consumed was incredible. We also had the Olive Oil Cake and if you havent tried it, you should. Not too sweet and they add a little sea salt so you get sweet and salty, but like a pound cake. You truly cant go wrong with the menu on all levels. I dont know how else to say it, but from the service to the food, this is the place to be! We said we would be coming back and bringing out friends. Thank you for such an exceptional evening!
Look food is the same as every other locations so what I’m going to say is 100% about service. Trash. Came here multiple times with reservations and have been sat up to 1hr late. Finally gave up tonight and left. Apparently despite taking reservations they don’t “believe” in them, it’s not a unicorn. While dining here staff has been short with us and unkind to questions. Just go to the Inman park location or Cooks and Soldiers.
So I had a reservation at 7:15 and 7:39 came to check on the reservation and expressed my concerns the lady with a fro blue tank top and a pink skirt thought it was funny and instead of apologizing she had an attitude and laughed talking bout others have been waiting too. The only reason I’m putting a 4 star and not one is because the general manager was very sweet. But ms. Mam if customer service is not for you, you need to go find your calling.Edit: I’m putting a 5 star because of the manager Tiffany and our server Lonnie they were both so sweet!! They really made sure we had a great time I am so appreciative! Everything was perfect!
Nice spot for tappas and bevvies on a Friday night! The food is tasty. I had the white sangria which was really nice though they can be heavy on the ice so speakup before they make your drink. Its moderately expensive so keep that in mind when you are ordering multiples. Free valet but you have to be mindful of the entrance because its easy to miss. There is a garage next door but youre going to pay $15 at least.
Barcelona Wine Bar was amazing!! The service was fast and the food was delicious!! Our server Mike was very attentive and made great recommendations. The manager Katrina came to check on us and spent a good deal conversating with us. This was an awesome experience and we will definitely be back! 🍷👍🏾
Amber was excellent. She served with perfect etiquette. She was very attentive to our every need. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the vegan variety from starters to the entree. Barcelona had a wonderful atmosphere from music to diverse culture. We will most definitely be back.
If you like a good meal, come here to Barcelona Wine Bar. I heard the name. I thought, I bet they specialize is wine. The food is probably a C+ at best. And I was actually wrong. Im normally right about most things, so I was surprised. I had a lot different things here, like the mushrooms, and also the cinnamon cake dish. They were all good, and Im being frank. Hope I didnt come off wrong. I sometimes have a hard time writing my thoughts down.
I love the food and the atmosphere. For that reason its 4 stars but honestly had a terrible waiter. Food and drinks were forgotten. We were charged for them. They fixed it but the attitude was unpleasant. Manager was amazing and she may have been having a bad night it happens. Still reccommend. Paella was good!
Food is good, experience was terrible. For my wife’s birthday we made a reservation here for a certain time and we expected that time for a table to be ready and had a calculated time for our party bus we rented to arrive. Long story short the table wasn’t ready for another 45 minutes so we all stood outside cold and then when we finally got our table, the waitress just had an attitude and got a lot of our orders incorrect not to mention spilling food on a friend. There was no sense of urgency or anything and meantime the party bus we rented by the hour, we lost a whole hour and had to pay extra for to make up for the extra hour lost. Luckily the bus we rented made our night up but this place cost me money for a poor experience. Will not be going back.
This used to be one of our favorite places as we have always celebrated birthdays and special occasions here and the food and service have always been outstanding. This past Saturday we felt like we were in a completely different restaurant. The service was very slow and poor as they appeared to be under-staffed, and the food was mostly lousy. One paella was very bland, one paella way too salty(not the one I ordered, but I decided to eat about 1/2 of it anyway -Thank God for Alka-Seltzer!!)...Neither tasted of saffron or like paella at all, just a bad rice dish. They used to serve you bread almost immediately after being seated. Saturday ,I felt like we had to beg the water boy for bread(yesterdays bread at that). We barely saw the waitress as she made herself scarce and wasnt overly friendly. This breaks my heart to leave this poor review since I used to love this place. Something is going on here. I dont know if its new management/ownership or a new chef, but the attention to detail in most of the food that used to be there is now gone. Its sad. On a positive note I will say that the patatas bravas and the flan were still very good so thats what has earned the 2nd star in my review. I dont think we will be going back any time soon
Everything here has been fantastic, from the food, to the staff, to the management! Everyone treats you like family. You look around and theres nothing but smiling faces and happy guests. I come in 2-3 times a month alone and have tried most of the tapas. Theyve handled a few parties Ive attended here with ease and entertaining the guest of honor. Everytime Im greeted by management and people who actually seem to like their jobs. The food is great as well, and comes out as its ready so youre not waiting forever. They have many options for vegetarians as well. The wine selection is amazing as expected and the desserts are few, but delectable. I always look forward to a plate of flan after a fee tapas dishes at the bar.
This place is amazing! Went on a fairly busy Friday night. The staff was friendly and food was all good. We had calamari, croquettes (my favorite), charcuterie and a few other things. The gin and tonic cart was a fun touch! We made a reservation so we got right in. By the time we left it looked like there was a decent amount of people waiting, so I would recomend making a reservation if you can.
Weve booked a table for the Valentine day. Arrived 15 minutes earlier. Ordered calamari, salad and main dishes. Calamari were ok, but chewy. One hour later weve called manager to find where our salads or food are. Manager promised to fix everything and in five minutes wrong food with wrong salads appeared. We left. If you want to have a romantic dinner I do not recommend this restaurant. P.S. other patrons that had too much alcohol didnt add anything good to this place either.
My wife and I were just there. The food was great, and the service was incredible. We ordered paella de mariscos (was extremely good), it took a while but Katrina (the manager) noticed the delay and immediately rushed to make sure it came up quick, she compensate us for the wait and was very very nice. This is like our 6th time coming here, all good times, but the service and the attention was specially good today. Keep up the great service!
Had a lovely night with my friends sitting outside by the fireplace! The food and wine selection was amazing! The staff was absolutely wonderful! From the host who offered to let us sit by the fireplace, even though the table was meant for a large group to Arthur who took great care of us! I can’t wait to go back again.
Appreciate that one of the managers/owners mentioned they can always accommodate certain food requests, but if I dont see marked options on the menu, I usually wont go there in the first place. We HAPPENED to go in for drinks and discover that there were a few tapas options free of animal products, which was great! But I generally scope out vegan friendly options online before I trek across town when travelling through an area. If you list vegan food options (esp. If I know youve got awesome drinks, in a great location with spectacular ambiance), then I know I can make a point of going to your establishment and having more options than french fries. Much appreciated when you recognize these options clearly in online menu and restaurant description.
I love eating at this place. The service is amazing, the decor is nice and the food is delicious. This time, I had the kale and chard, the meatballs, the duck breast, and the spicy beef empanadas. I had a hard time picking a favorite, tho the kale and chard dish was a bit salty for me. Maybe it was the person who prepared it that was a but heavy handed this time. But I will definitely be back.
A group of 4 of us stopped in for dinner the week before Christmas. Although there was a substantial wait for a table - it was well worth it! We ended up getting a few cocktails and hanging out in the bar, then were led to our table. Our waiteress Nico was fantastic. She was funny, friendly and very efficient. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, and as such she gave us some great recommendations on the tapas. All of the food was excellent from the appetizers to the deserts. I especially enjoyed the mussels - which were among the best Ive tasted anywhere. Special kudos to Nico for letting us look at the Barcelona cookbook which gave us some ideas on dishes that we try at home. Overall a wonderful experience, and we cant wait to go back.
I enjoyed the atmosphere and energy. When we arrived the staff was very attentive. We had a variety of meat and veggie dishes. My fav was the heirloom tomato salad. They struggled a little with my cocktails. Think it was due to the sound level and explaining what I wanted. Food came out at the right pace. Drinks not so much. Wait staff where many we were told would be attending to us unfortunately were inattentive. Food and atmosphere gets a 5. Wait staff 3.
The food was good but the service is was very bad. Our server brought water glasses very dirty with pieces of food, lip prints and water marks on it. We asked to change the glasses, she did. Then, she brought the sangria glasses with the same problem. I had to ask a manager to stop by our table to talk about it. A food runner tried to bring wrong dishes 5 times to out table. This is ridiculous! Chef did the great job!
They had great ambiance and a good selection of wines. However one of our friends received a used glass with coke in it. Th server filled it up with water and he had a sip. I couldn’t believe it, so I took a sip. They replaced the glass after we told them, but during a covid-era, I expected them to be careful. I really like the place so I am still giving 4 stars, mistakes happen, hope they are careful going forward.
The food was great. Also it was super crowded that night, the waiters served us very well. We ordered a bottle of wine which was very tasty and a sea food as main dish (I dont remember the name). Moreover, Duck slice and steak slices as appetizer (the finger foods are so delicious in this restaurant). That was a awesome experience and I wanna visit this place again.
Food has gone downhill since the first few times Ive gone. Everything has become either overly coated in sauce, overcooked, far too rich, or bland. Additionally, the service lately is almost Applebees annoying... someone is always at your table. I suspect theyre trying to get you in and out due to having reduced tables, but this was in-between when we were getting food. It used to be the case that all the food came out at once. Last time I went, one of the items we ordered came out so late compared to the others that we forgot we had even ordered it.
The food is amazing and full of flavor. Amazing cocktails and wine selection. Each plate is just a few bites each and run from $5 to $12. You can order tapas all throughout the meal instead of ordering them all up front which is nice. It gets very crowded on weekends, so I would recommend making a reservation. There is also complimentary valet parking which is another big plus.
The food was amazing. The atmosphere was trendy. The service, unless you are the guy you get looked over. So I am to assume my sweet tea was nasty and my shrimp and grits tasted like poo, cause no one asked me but they sure did ask my man how his food and drink was. That does not take away from the fact that the food was very good and we will be back! Service needs work.
Love this place! Our group went on a Friday night around 9pm and it was pretty packed. They have beautiful outdoor seating and they had live music playing. The vibes are intimate and chill, with a smallish menu, but great food selection. The hosts and servers were kind and their bread and sides are bomb. Its a tad on the pricier side, but worth it!
Im here at the restaurant in table No. 9 and there it was lack of attention from all waitress BUT the waiter Ricardo was giving us an excellent service. However, after our complain the manager Katrina give us an Excelent attention and the disapoint disapear with the restaurant. The food is excellent but please dont forget that a bad services scares any client! Thank you so much Ricardo and Katrina!
We ventured out to the Barcelona Wine bar for the first time ever and I must say that we were unbelievably happy with our experience. The wait to dine in was relatively long however we were able to find a seat at the bar pretty quickly and it was a fantastic experience. The drinks were made in front of you, the wine options were plentiful, and the atmosphere was fantastic especially if you were looking for a date night. With plenty of tapas and drink options you can’t go wrong.
Both Barcelona Wine Bar locations are incredible, and have a fairly wide variety of wines and tapas to choose from. I would suggest doing the chefs tasting menu for large parties because they have three price levels available, and the food is amazing and just keeps coming. I believe our group had 12 smalls plates plus a meat and cheese board before and an enormous dessert board afterwards. The staff was extremely helpful and easygoing with our large party of 20. We will definitely be back and I would recommend this restaurant to anybody be it for drinks, a quick bite, or a full sit-down dinner.
Overall great atmosphere and tasty tapas. I had to take a star off my rating due to the Hangar steak. It definetely was way too undercooked. The manager did come and apologize and offered to give us something else. My friend ordered meatballs but i chose not to order anything else. The servers where great and the valet did an awesome job getting our vehicles.
Date night here was wonderful!!! Such a beautiful spot with great decor. Our servers were so fantastic as well - very kind and helpful with the menu and advising how things work. Prices were great too - I greatly recommend the sangria pitcher - great size for the price!!Will be coming back many times throughout summer to enjoy the patio :)
Food was great. I always enjoy the chorizo and sweet and sour figs. Monday was half priced wine bottle night which appeared to draw a crowd for date night. Even with all the couples on dates around us, it was still a good spot for a business meeting. Never too loud and the service was great.
Absolutely loved this place. Kind of just stumbled upon when walking around the West end looking for a spot to eat. The drinks were awesome and the food was absolutely delicious. Anthony, our server, was amazing. He was very patient with us and took the time to explain the menu. His recommendations were spot on. I dont go to that side of town often, but I know exactly where Ill be going for dinner on our next venture.
The service was amazing. I made a last minute reservation for a party of 17 and Kim (the manager) was more than happy to accommodate. Our wait time became extended because of a previous party but the hostess and managers kept us updated on tables quite frequently. We received complimentary cocktails and cheese tray to make up for our wait time and the food was delicious. I love this place and will definitely be back.
Beautiful place. Pretty bad service and food. We had a reservation, came on time, seated immediately. Got drinks. So far so good. Our waiter was extremely busy with a big party table and forgot about us. We were able to catch the attention of another waitress and she was way better. We finally order our food. First 2 tapas came, nothing especial. We waited for my husband paella for over an hour. Finally the paella came ( The original waiter brought it) he noticed that the paella was totally BURNED! And said enjoy your paella CRISPY STYLE We can not believe the kitchen either the waiter were able to bring that kind of food to a clients table. UNBELIEVABLE. My husband went to look for the manager, complained about it and ask for our check. VERY DISAPPOINTED NIGHT OUT.We will never return to this place.PD: The waiter annotation Crispy Style made us laugh like crazy. The guy won some points in creativity.
Barcelona has lived up to its standards every time I have been there. The ambience, the vibe the service has never been anything less than great! Their collection of wine is exuisite and their food is equally amazing! A few of their dishes do take a little long to prepare but are worth the wait I believe!A great choice if youre planning to go on a date!
Excellent brunch! Stopped by with my wife and two older Sons for brunch (even though Google says it was closed on maps). Absolutely excellent meals and drinks. Service was super friendly and knowledgeable. Awesome atmosphere with great crowd. First time here and we all really enjoyed it. The bar area looks cool and the wine selection great. Great value for the money. Thanks!
First time here but certainly not the last. I’ve been wanting to come here with my husband for our weekly Wednesday date night. The food and wine were great and service was STELLAR! Hope and Nicki set the tone as soon as we walked in the door. The servers, (particularly Karen) made great recommendations, were knowledgeable about the menu and were very attentive. Plus, they do BRUNCH! We will be here this weekend with our friends and family! I can’t wait.
I didn’t eat dinner here, however, the wine list is full of good Spanish wines. I tried a Tempranillo that didn’t disappoint. I indulged in the flourless chocolate cake. It was perfectly prepared. Brian, our bartender was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. A little noisy (lively crowd), energetic energy, and nice decor.
Definitely a go to place if youre craving tapas. Their paella is good, not great, but its definitely worth trying. I wish it had more shrimp instead of so much squid, but thats a personal preference. I definitely do NOT recommend their sangria, but try it at your own risk. BONUS: If you fill out their survey, youll get a free tapas token for your next visit. Its a decent incentive to go back again.
Met up with some friends for wine and tapas and loved the experience. Our waiters were extremely accommodating and friendly and helped us choose what tapas to get as none of us had any clue on how the restaurant worked. My only complaint would be how loud the music was. I could barely hear my friends at one point during the night and I felt it took away from the authentic experience we were trying to get while at Barcelona. All in all, great food and amazing wine selections made our time at BWB fantastic.
•Atmosphere/ Ambiance: 4/5 * The loud music is very unnecessary change the pace..tone it down or something. Trying to converse with others is hard.•Cleanliness: 5/5 *Excellent• Service: 3/5 * Need to be organized, different waiters coming to take the same order.• Food: 4/5 *The portions are good and so is the food. I need you guys to fix the menu so people know what they are actually ordering. I dont know what I missed out on. Have pictures or a better description of the menu.
So many options on the wine. Definitely a place to visit multiple times to taste everything. Tapas style food serving, but also has multiple options on the cheese plate. The bar has about 20 seats available; however, no TV. So, if you want to watch anything while at the bar you will not have that here. Still a great place to try and definitely a recommendation.
Astonishing experience, tapes, wine and atmosphere simply equates to and amazing dining experience. The staff is beyond attentive, from the moment we crossed the threshold we were greeted by Nicki and Hope and the 3 other staff members all displaying a huge welcoming smiles. I strongly recommend Barcelona Wine Bar for anyone who wants an extraordinary dining experience.
Food was excellent and service was top notch I really couldn’t have asked for better. Waiter was polite, attentive, explained an expansive menu quickly and concisely, and took care of us very well. All the staff were top notch, the environment was fun and the food was particularly delicious. They recommend 3 dishes to share between two - I reccomend trying many more! You won’t be disappointed.
Great experience! My group of five arrived early on a Saturday evening and was seated immediately. Our waitresses were attentive and personable and offered to split the check at the end. We had a great time trying the different small plates. Get the ham and cheese croquetas!
One of the best places to take a group of people and have a european style shared meal in midtown Atlanta. I have been several times and food is excellent and service is very good. And surprisingly not as expensive as you would think if you are sharing several dishes.
This tapas spot is very good. They have a big selection of tasty treats to choose from and a great atmosphere.I recommend the chorizo w/ sour dates + the goat cheese as a good combo together. Also the empanadas are perfectly cooked. The only mark down is the service can fluctuate depending on who you get and how many tables they have. One visit was extremely fast service on anything we ordered and another time our drinks didnt arrive until after our food, even though they were ordered first.
I was recently In Atlanta with my significant other who was attending a medical conference. We were part of a group of ten people. This place is what I consider pretty upscale yet causal enough to be comfortable. And let me just say it was an amazing experience!! We arrived hungry and at first I was a bit skeptical about the small plates option and things I couldnt even begin to pronounce but the menu was very explanatory and the small bites (tapas) were surprisingly substantial. We all had a great time passing around the plates we got and sharing with one another! The flavors were wonderful and I loved literally everything. Between my picks and what I sampled from others I had the potatoes bravas, meatballs, hangar steak, whipped sheeps milk cheese with honey and bread, a potato dish that I cannot remember but has the word tortilla in it, asparagus, and bacon wrapped dates. The drinks were good, the waitstaff was amazing and it was just such a fun experience with the best food We left full and happy. Such a good time !! We will definitely come back !!
Went here for New Years Eve with 2 of my girl friends. We were just expecting dinner, good food and drinks and back home. We got so much more!! We made reservations but waited at the bar where the bartender was great. We did not expect a DJ for the night but she was AMAZING!!! After being sat at our table we had excellent service with excellent food. It was a night full of unexpected dancing and an amazing experience. Will be back for dinner soon and it will probably be my place of choice for next NYE.
We made a reservation at 8pm for 10 but did not get seated until 9pm. We later found out that our table was not ready because the group before made a reservation at 6pm but only started ordering at 7pm. Apparently 2 out of the 10 guests arrived at 6pm and were seated while the rest of them arrived at 6.51pm. I get that it was out of their hands but they really should not seat parties until every guest in the party has arrived. After waiting an hour, we were moved to another table outside. The servers were nice and the food was good but the drinks took 30 minutes to arrive and we were all starving after an hour and a half of waiting. Im never coming back, not after that horrible experience. It wasnt worth the price and Id rather eat anywhere else.
Edited: My original review below is still valid but the manager did reach out to me about the allergen issue and has handled it in a very impressive and classy way. I am grateful for the attention he has paid to that issue specifically. At least I can say that if you were to have an experience that was not to your expectation, Barcelona will try to make it right.Original review:I would have actually given less stars if the food wasnt so darn good. The quality of the food is delicious. The service was so far past abysmal. It was Saturday night, it was hopping but we had a reservation for a group of 9, supposedly in a separate room but we were just in the second room which was super full of people and loud and crazy. It took an hour for us to get our cocktails, in fact food came before cocktails. What was most appalling was that we also ordered a bottle of Rose and that came after the cocktails. All you have to do there is open it. Apparently the issue was there werent enough clean glasses. Im completely baffled by this explanation.Because we were a group and there for a celebration we did the prix fix. To be honest, it was so loud and I was on the end of my table, I didnt even really realize we decided on this until our server was notified. But she asked if there were any allergies and I shared mine with her. We had zero input on what we wanted but thats fine, it was loud and busy, so whatever. The food came out with no rhyme or reason, in fact the meat and cheese boards came out halfway through. Near the end our server announced that we had just three more tapas plates coming because they were so good she had to share them with us. Great. They arrive and after eating a few bites of one of them one of my friends realizes that in the gravy is my food allergen. So its not whole and on the plate for my eyes to see, its mixed in. Too late, Ive already consumed it at this point.I had every intention of talking to our server about it but we didnt see her again for 40 minutes. We sat with nothing but water in front of us waiting for our checks. By the time she came back to ask us if we wanted anything else (REALLY?) I wasnt about to ruin my friends celebration by making a fuss so we just asked for checks.I was in this establishment for over two and a half hours. Had only one cocktail the whole time and an awkwardly presented bottle of bubbly mid-crowded tapas table during a flight of food with no rhyme or reason, was poisoned, and our table paid $700 for that experience. No matter how good the food is--that just aint worth it!
I really want to like this place. Good food and cool environment. But almost every single time i have a problem with the service here. They have overcharged me almost every time. You DEFINITELY need to check the bottle of wine they bring you carefully to make sure its the one you ordered. They carry a lot of wines by the same vineyard and type but vary in price. You will quickly find out once you get your bill they sent you a bottle that was far more than what you ordered. When its third time its happened, its not a fluke.
Food was really good. Service was straight to the point. Our waiter made a couple of recommendations that turned out fantastic (hint: chorizo with fig). Everyone in our party was happy with the food and wine. However the entire experience was taken down quite a few notches due to the music. It was obsessively loud...I mean were talking night club levels. It was to the point where we were having to shout to each other even directly across the table from each other. To add insult to injury, a staff member accidentally flipped the volume dial all the way up at some point and everyone in the restaurant stopped what we were doing. A bartender had to shout that it wasnt her that did it. It was obviously a mistake that was corrected within a minute but it was illustrative as to how unnecessarily ridiculous the music levels were. Its unfortunate that one factor can detract from an otherwise good dining experience so profoundly but that was certainly the case here. I hope the staff and ownership take note.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Where do I begin! The Red Sangria is Fire! Their charcuterie options are Fire! And the TAPAS muy caliente!! Everything we got was fantastic! The figs & sausage, the steak, the patatas bravas, the potato tortilla to name a few. I usually dont get dessert but the flan OH EM GEE to die for!! Rivals my friends that makes it from scratch! I cant forget our awesome server Murphey she was Ah-mazing!!!
They were not able to seat us until 30 min past our reservation despite the fact there were multiple visible tables (party of 3).The potatoes w/ aioli and shishito peppers were amazing. The rest of the food was good but over seasoned (either too much salt or pepper). Hangar steak had way too much char on it for my taste. All in all pretty good, their coffee after the meal was quite tasty. It was also very loud!
I have been here a couple times and I have to say I really like this place for brunch. The brunch drinks are really nice especially the Rosé. The tapas are really small but you have to order a few of them and share a few bites between a few people. Even though these dishes are really small they are packed with intense flavors. Some of my favorites are the Patatas Bravas, Spiced Beef Empanadas, and some of the other specialty brunch items like the Benedict.
Great place to hang out at the bar for drinks and delicious tapas. Beware, the reservation system means nothing on a Saturday night. Made a reservation for 8 pm, and arrived on time. We (2 people) werent seated until 920. However, we were given 2 free tapas for our next visit.
This time we tried another location in Atlanta vs. our usual one:- The Paella de Marisco is absolutely stunning! The flavours, generosity of the seafood and rice texture is nailed! Beware the quantity for two is huge, so if you’re ordering tapas, only go for paella for two- There were some hits and misses with the tapas. The hits were: gambas al ajillo, the jamòn and aged manchego, the grilled octopus, the eggplant, the crispy calamary- What we found less appetizing were the burrata (lacking good seasoning and the bread was almost burnt), the patatas bravas are honestly a big miss (nothing works from the potato texture all the way to the seasoning),- We had the Catalàn Flan and assortment of ice cream as desserts. It was just okay, nothing mind-blowing- The wine recommendation was very good!- I wad told the potato tortilla was not available, only for it to magically appear after out dessert as a wrong table mistake. That was a bit confusing and annoying as I was really looking forward to it!I would still go back there for the paella and wine selection but I hope they would fix some of the items on the menu that are truly disappointing.
This was one of my favorite restaurants. I came here all the time, I live right down the street. I went this past Saturday with 3 of my friends. We had been drinking prior but while there- we were not loud, we were not attracting attention to us, we were just trying to eat food. We ordered one bottle of wine to be shared by 4 people. Before we could even order our food (and we were planning on ordering a lot of food, AT LEAST $50/person), the area manager approached us to let us know that he couldnt serve us alcohol becuase we were clearly drunk and belligerent. It was incredibly abrasive and unnecessary, as we were literally sitting quietly at the table. If the area manager would like to contest what Im saying, I am more than happy to drop by and review the tapes with him. After he was so rude, we tried to move to the bar to eat food but he followed us and was lurking so we left Barcelona and went to Mary Macs Tea Room, which doesnt even serve alcohol.

2022-05-12Nice location, beautiful atmosphere, within walking distance of Holiday bar and other special cocktail places. Charcuterie is always my go to, bacon wrapped dates 🤤. And if its your birthday you are in for a treat(I wont ruin the surprise for you). Pictures are also including holiday wine bar.

2022-05-28Nice location, beautiful atmosphere, Charcuterie boards are my favorite. Andrew the bartender/server was great!! Didn’t get any photos of the food, we ate it all.The calamari was fried in lots of oil. Very crispy, didn’t like the oiliness.

2021-09-26Service wasn’t horrible yet not good, just okay. I think it’s a good option if you’ve never tried Spanish food, but those are not good tapas in any possible way. Octopus and shrimp were over cooked. A lot of people had little to no salt. Flavors were too basic. It sucks because a lot of people in the area recommended me this place and we were with very high expectations. If you’ve tried tapas before and you have a criteria, I wouldn’t recommend. If it’s your first time trying Spanish food, it might work for you to have sort of an idea of what is Spanish food.

2022-02-14Great food, a tad bit overpriced in all fairness but a great way to try a lot of small portions. Service and servers always very good and very attentive. Will come back
