The loveliest bunch of people that own this place. They were able to board our lab for 3 nights during a holiday week very last minute. Text updates to check in if we wanted. They took such great care of our pup. Thank you!!! Would highly recommend. Cash only!
I can not express how much I LOVE the barking lot. Not only do my dogs always look great, but the staff is beyond amazing. They go above and beyond to help make sure your animals not only look great, but feel great. The staff are all extremely talented and definitely animal people and are all very kind, caring and loving. They are Often doing more than their job entails, and it shows they are there because they love it. I wouldnt ever take my dogs anywhere elses ever again for boarding and grooming. My dogs love Mrs Stacy and are always super excited to see her. They come back happy, clean, and relaxed when I pick them up.
Stacey and her trusted staff are some of the best in our industry. I had the pleasure of meeting them, and touring their facility. I was impressed!The reception area is comfortable and inviting. The salon is safe, clean and well-lit to ensure a positive experience for the dogs being groomed. I got to meet her son, Raleigh, who helps distribute plenty of love and cuddles to the pups who visit.In all honesty, Ive never had my dogs groomed here. Im just a fellow groomer who got to visit their shop and saw how they operate.After my experience there, I would personally recommend them to any of my friends if they were staying near Helen, GA on vacation looking for a trustworthy groomer in the area. Or if anyone I know was planning on moving near Cleveland, GA, and needed a good dog groomer. Id recommend Stacy, and her wonderful team at Barking Lot! 🙌
We absolutely love the barking lot. They have always been amazing with all our furbabys. We took our new 23 week old puppy Mochi in for her first spa day and Stacy and her team were amazing with Mochi. She is extra tiny...only weighing 2 pounds and they made sure to calm my nerves about leaving her with them. The girls checking in are so friendly and always smiling and polite. They were even able to cut and dremel her little nails with no issue. Mochi came home smelling amazing and she was so soft and fuzzy. She was so happy and not the least bit nervous when I picked her up. If you are looking for a FULL service top notch Grooming Salon for your dogs than this is the place to go. Mochi got a blueberry facial and she also got a hydro massage...I was so shocked at how much these ladies care for their clients. Yes the dogs stay there a little longer than most salons, but its worth it for the kind of care they get versus some other grooming places like petsmart. Here your dog isnt just another number, Stacy and her team has always made us feel like all of our dogs are important and like we are family. Thank you for all you do to make our babies look amazing and feel great.
I have always had great service, even right before a holiday and during this crazy time of Covid and short staffs! That says it all!! They go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure customer satisfaction. The staff is always friendly and they listen very well! I have always been very pleased with my 2 small dogs grooming!

I have brought my dog to them since they opened.She walks in wagging her tail and happy to see them again and walks out smelling clean for weeks.I know they keep up with their education and use the best products because they show me the products they use when my girl nèeds something different for her skin when she has seasonal allergies or is itchy.They are a busy shop but if I have a question or an issue, they have always made time for my girl.Everyone in my family and my friends all go here too.Highly recommend ♡
Took my almost 1 year old Aussie for her first cut. The Barking Lot did a fabulous job. My pup is so soft. Her coat smells nice and looks so healthy. We will use this business for our future grooming needs. Thank you staff of The Barking Lot for Lexis grooming.
Today was my first time visiting this quaint shop with my beloved babies. I am new to the area and everyone just raves about how great the grooms are here. The owner was actually competing today and had a wonderful groomer and staff that was so helpful and assured me my babies would be safe. They took all my info and even called my vet to make sure they were able to handle the groom, they are a little older merand need alot of TLC. They explained it takes around 4 hours and that they had their own kennels and would have potty breaks when needed. So professional and kind to a customer that has so many questions. My babies looked AMAZING and had the cutest bow and smelled wonderful. I am so glad I went to the Barking Lot today, I just loved them instantly. I know it cant be an easy job and they just loved my babies. That is all I could ask for . Thank you so much Barking lot ladies! I will BE BACK!!
My dogs are very comfortable and happy going into the Barking Lot. When they are picked up, aside from looking fantastic, their demeanor tells me that they had a great experience. One of my dogs gets so excited as soon as I pull into the parking area. He’s a diva and he loves getting pampered. The owner and staff are professional, treat their clients with care and kindness and communicate with their customers. My fur babies will never go anywhere else but the Barking Lot.
Went there for the first time today on the referral of a friend. We apologized when we got there that we did not have the correct shot papers and would be right back. The girl stated no paperwork was required even though it is a state law requirement. 4 hours later we called to inquire when our dog would be ready. We were informed there were several dogs ahead of her and it would be 2 more hours. 15 minutes later we arrived and requested to pick up our dog as is. We were informed she was being cut and would be ready in 10 minutes. She was ready and cut well 15 minutes later. We called our friend who referred us to them and they stated they had never been asked for shot records either and never thought about it. Our current groomer keeps copies and requests new records when they expire. Health consciousness and employee training appear to be non-existent. The owner was out of town. They only take cash which makes you wonder if they pay taxes on anything. We will never go back.
Let me tell you how much I LOVE Stacy and her team!! They do a phenomenal job! She is truly a dog person and my dog loved being pampered and groomed by her so much he whined to go back the next day! I highly highly recommend her as a groomer for your pup!! These ladies are courteous, caring, and so professional!
This place is GREAT!! I loved the time they spent with me in understanding what I wanted done with my dog. The place looked and smelled so clean. You can tell that they truly LOVE what they do! Vogue is feeling and looking the best she ever has! Thank you girls!! My dog and I both, had a really good experience! I will definitely be back!
Anytime we have to go out of town I always board my girls at the Barking Lot. It gives me peace of mind knowing that Big Mama and Cocoa not only enjoy their time with Stacy and the staff, but I can leave town knowing they are well taken care of and that Big Mama will get her seizure meds. When we pull up to drop them off they both hop out tails wagging, you can see how excited they are to be back there to stay and that means a lot to me. Also anytime they are groomed, they look and smell awesome. Big Mama has a serious shedding issue certain times of the year, and no matter how much I brush her I cant ever seem to get all of it. The last time Big Mama was groomed she looked like a different dog. To sum it up, I wont be taking my girls anywhere else for boarding nor grooming. They treat each dog like family and you can tell they love what they do. BEST PLACE EVER!
First time we took our 2 Golden’s and 1 Doberman everything was outstanding, higher than 5 star, dogs came out “smiling”, clean and shiny with everything from fresh breath to nails cut. Price was very good. Next time the price was higher and they didn’t come out the same. So knowing everyone can have an off day we took them back a few months ago and while nail trimming was part of the package their nails looked and felt the same as when they went in. Young gal said we can take them back in to trim their nails but we had waited 3-4 hours around town already. Our dogs are brushed and in decent shape when they go. Price was even higher. I will say quite a few months went by between visits. That could account for a bit of a price increase. Something to be said for consistency, doing that great job every time. Each time employees were different. Full disclosure 3rd time was right after they reopened after COVID 19 hit. In retrospective I wish I had just talked to the owner.
Stacy and her staff have taken care of my familys pets since opening. Even during a pandemic, her love and compassion for clients both 2 and 4 legged friends kept her running a smooth operation.As somebody that was more susceptible to the vid, i GREATLY appreciate fact that she requires appointments. I mean, I know shes hands down the best around but were a small town so its not like somebody would drive hours away from home, on vacation, with their fur baby, show up on a Sunday and just EXPECT to have full run of another persons business right? Probably not unless they had been turned away from every local grooming boarding season back home.Aaaaanyway.....I love Stacy and so do my Buddy and SpikeOh and ummmm be blessed.....🤣🤣🤣
Loved their service! Brought my frenchie there and he came out looking great! Soft fur, trimmed his nails good, and a little bow to top it off :) definitely will go there again

I have used Stacy Brown for over 20 years and would not trust anyone else!!! Her staff is AMAZING also! My babies always get so excited when they get to the shop because they know they are in for a day at the spa!!!! Five stars is not enough they deserve so many more! I was excited to take my pup in because of the reviews but no one answered. There were flies like crazy outside the door and no one answered the door nor the phone, during business hours. We drove down the street and tried multiple times, maybe they were grooming a dog or in the restroom, who knows,, but still, no answer... I guess we can try again because well be back!Edited in response: Obviously you have issues, there is no bashing above! I said I am excited to be a customer and your response is that I dont get an opportunity?! I understand and even noted that you could be in the middle of a session, noted the sign to call. Regardless, we WILL be back, even with your attitude and obvious overreaction... be blessed.
We love this place! We take our small dog for grooming regularly and have always been happy with the results. We also use the boarding from time to time. We love the boarding area. I am always confident when I leave my dog when we are heading for vacation that he will be cared for. We are able to text to check on our dog Toby any time during his stay. It is so clean and designed to calm your pet. Better than all this is the owner, Staci. She cares for Toby as if he was her own. She makes sure he is treated like royalty when he is there. The Barking lot is a great place!
The best groomer around!! Great staff. Friendly and knowledgeable, and most importantly great with your fur babies. Stacy and the crew have been doing my babies for about 5 years now and Maggie, Chase and Sassy always look and smell fabulous when I pick them up! And my babies love going to see Stacy!!! Both of my dogs have been coming to the Barking Lot for 6 years for grooming and also for boarding (once boarding was established.). All of the employees do a great job and are always professional and courteous. They are great with their grooming practices and give us exactly what we ask for each time. Both of my dogs love Stacey likes she’s their 2nd mother. We highly recommend the Barking Lot.
Best place in the world, paws down. If she would groom me Id go. Seriously, she is the best I have ever seen on grooming. Not only grooming but her boarding facilities are top notch. I have a dog that is terrified of groomers, or anything for that matter. Ive been taking her to Stacy and she drags me in the shop now. She LOVES it there. She comes out all silkie, clean and brushed out so well. I love this place.
Theres not enough praises I can give to The Barking Lot & Stacy Brown & her employees. My Charlie LOVES going to have his spa day or even going to their amazing boarding facility on his vacations! They love him like hes their own & that makes a HUGE difference when it comes to my fur babies. I never worry about him being loved & taken care of when hes there. I honestly think he feels like a king when hes with them. Wouldnt recommend anyone else to take care of or groom your fur babies. The Barking Lot is top notch!
The barking lot has been grooming my two dogs for years! We love them! They always smell so good when they leave and you can tell they take great care of them! They have the best Prices around and I would never take my babies anywhere else! We love the barking lot!❤️
My Beau gets so excited when I ask him if he wants to go see Stacey. She does a great job, never disappointed. The boarding facility is great too. Its nice knowing you have a place to take your baby and not have to worry if he is being taken care of. The staff is also very friendly.
After all the great reviews, I made an appointment to take one of my boys in to get him sheared down to summer mode. I drive almost an hour (ONE WAY) to get there at my appointed time, only to be curtly told it takes a minimum of four hours and Id have to leave him and come back. I did not ask for a shampoo, I did not ask for him to be placed in a wind tunnel to be dried, all I needed was help getting him sheared. After all of that was CLEARLY discussed when making the appointment, it seemed as if they had lost all of my information because they asked me for the same things all over again! As we had discussed, it was my expectation that my dog would be seen at the time of the appointment and that I could wait. Since they had the huge picture windows in the front, I was so happy to have found a transparent groomer! Not so. The young woman I spoke with was not rude at all, but made it clear I should not wait I took my dog and left. So a quarter of a tank of gas later and nearly two hours of driving time wasted for absolutely nothing. One can only hope someone will do these folks the exact same way they did me. Maybe then theyll understand what it feels like.Im not sure how they could have gotten things THIS confused, but mistakes happen. What troubled me most is, both of my boys are very laid-back and arent easily excitable. But, when the girl came out to take the dog being groomed, BOTH of my boys tried to bolt and run - something they dont do even at the vets office. That was extremely unusual and left me with the impression there is bad energy there or these folks have a mean attitude. So, maybe it is all just as well it turned out as it did.Based on my experience today and how little they seemed to care, I couldnt recommend them nor would I try them again.
Stacy is the most knowledgeable groomer that I know. She is passionate about her work and takes wonderful care of all animals. She is also very giving of her time & expertises to fellow groomers and dogs in need. She volunteered with a group of groomers to groom dozens of dogs recovered through a hoarding & neglect case. 💗
My little poochie was spoilt rotten with these ladies!! He was cut just the way we asked, and the turnout was even better! Such wonderful, precise work! And the staff was great. Really loved the love put into my babys spa day! 🎀🎀
Stacy and her staff are excellent I would not trust anybody else but them with my babies. They are loving and care so much for my babies. They always look amazing when I pick them up and always excited to see them at the shop when dropped off. Wouldnt take them anywhere else! The best for sure!!!

I really cant say enough about the Barking Lot. I have taken my dogs to the Barking Lot in the past and I highly recommend Stacy and her team for professional pet grooming services. They do a great job with your job. She is very detail oriented and its easy to get an appointment. I cannot emphasize enough how professional and wonderful they are with pets.
Stacey and the team were incredible! I felt so comfortable leaving my pup overnight. The staff went above and beyond for everything I needed. Will use again when in the area for sure!

I recently went on vacation and brought my dog to be boarded at their boarding facility. I had someone else pick her up so my dog would be home when I got home. let me tell you, I walked in the door and my girl was so happy, she smelled soooo good, her nails were clipped, and she had a cute little snow flake bandana on. it seemed like she got a mini vacation herself. I appreciate this place so much! my pup loves it too.
My wife called for an appointment, but it apparently wasnt put on the books, and all subsequent calls and messages about color options were ignored. In addition, I called and spoke to an associate who assured me the owner would call back, and she also said the appointment was not on the books. Nothing...I read reviews referring to other groomers making fake appointments to hurt her business, but I think maybe the problem isnt the other places. I rarely leave bad reviews, but I cant in good faith refer anyone to this business.I hope you can improve your customer skills with your other customers... well not be one of them.
My 15 year old pupper suffered a stroke affecting the right side of her brain. I got her healthy enough to be groomed. She had became incontinent due to this stroke. I didnt want her laying in her urine w her long hair. I contacted Stacy. And she was MORE than happy to assist. Even on SHORT notice. Then she went a little further and just wanted to do a good deed for us. Refused to let me pay. Of course I insisted I pay. She did not want me to!!!.(that speaks volumes to me about a buisness). the ladies working for her were VERY helpful and calmed my nerves while getting my other puppers nails trimmed who is not very friendly w dogs not apart of his pack. Super great place! Super great employees!! GREAT JOB GUYS!!! Def give 5 STARS!!!
LOVE the Barking Lot!!! Such a happy place, and the groomers are experts at their craft. Its so easy, in/out, right on the Cleveland Square, and quick turn-around for grooming. My pup doesnt need a lot of maintenance, but I have seen other breeds that do, and when they are ready to leave, they are gorgeous and prancing!
I have Stacy groom my dogs every time I am in GA these days... and her work is impeccable! My dogs love seeing her... and she does a great job! I recommend her and her shop highly to anyone looking for a groomer for their pups!
To Stephanie Gray Royal. This business has CLEARLY posted hours and Sunday is obviously closed. And a simple glance inside the window would verify that all lights were off, no dogs were present, and no people were present. Maybe they should post a 24 hour representative to stand at the door and explain simple logic to people? Sometimes there are flies that frequent the restaurant next door and upstairs, and your insinuation that The Barking Lot draws flies is another example of your inability to see the world around you. Driving up and down the street and around the block does not change the fact that it was Sunday! In the early morning! And you falsely assumed you could just stroll into town on a Sunday, without an appointment, and get your precious pup groomed. How many clues do you need? Then you act as if you wont go back will harm this business, when in fact youve done them a giant favor by going away. And by now, every Groomer in Northeast Georgia knows your name and knows exactly who you are. Have fun driving to Florida, on a Sunday, to get your dog groomed. I cant understand why normal people have to share oxygen with you, but you should be banned from posting reviews that arent fact checked by an adult.
Great grooming and boarding shop in the area. After the word of mouth all giving spectacular review I decided to try for myself. I only boarded my dogs but the grooming experience of friends led me to look them up. Definitely may try the grooming soon.
My 3 Bichons are always excited to go. Stacey and the staff are loving and my fluffs totally enjoy their Spa day. The cuts are always pleasing . Great experiences since day 1 many many visits ago. The place my fluffy children will ever go. When you find the right place with the right attitude and oblivious talent to do a great job. Why would you go anywhere else.. Barking Lot is who I recommend .
They do a good job with taking great care of my animals, but the parking is usually bad and the entrance is a bit rough. I left my dog here for five hours one day while we bought a new home and they took really great care of him! They werent scared to cut my Rottweilers nails and I appreciated that.
Love this place and these folks. They love our Leah and treat her so special! We dont worry when we board her there. After her bath she looks so beautiful and smells so sweet. Stacie appreciates her pet parents too.
Stacy has the most awesome and innovative grooming techniques! Every pic I see of her grooms reminds me of a magazine cover. And her boarding facilities are top notch!! I especially love the beach theme and sound effects!!! LOVE The Barking Lot!!

Best place ever!! I took my English bull dogs some where else and they were to rough with them Stacy is amazing she has been grooming all my dogs for over 10 year cant get any better than her and her prices are amazing. If you want your fur babies treated like they are the best take them there !!
I cant say enough good things about The Barking Lot. I have three dogs and have been going to Stacy Brown for several years now. She has great employees also. My little schnauzer is 10 now and when I tell her Im taking her to see Stacy she gets very excited! They do a wonderful job and are so good to the pet. We are very lucky to have Stacy in Cleveland. I would never go anywhere else. I trust her with my Kids.

I absolutely recommend The Barking Lot. My puppy was recently injured by a larger dog. After healing up, his hair looked crazy from where the vet shaved his neck and side of his face. They were very kind and took great care of Charlie. Took extra time on him. Very wonderful place.
What a fun place to get your dog groomed! We were immediately greeted (very nice staff!) and treated Brody amazing! Very professional staff! And he came out looking and smelling great! Will definitely go back, highly recommended!

Our german shepard was treated fantastic. It was our first time using them, staff is warm, friendly, caring, upon arriving Grace was greeted and staff immediately started loving on her, they made us all feel very welcome. Definately recommend them and will be using them often.
Stacy has been grooming our Malti-tzu for nearly a year, we also board him with her, and its great, she takes wonderful care of him, keeps him well groomed and does an awesome job. She is such an dog lover, you couldnt ask for more.. The new boarding area is really nice.
There arent enough good things to say about The Barking Lot. I drive all the way from Atlanta to bring my Maltese to Stacy at The Barking Lot. She is ALWAYS accommodating and ALWAYS does a fantastic job. She takes extremely good care of Marla & I know I can always count on Stacy to fit us in on such short notice and do such an amazing job. I highly recommend The Barking Lot for anyone looking for a new groomer. Keep up the amazing work ladies!
The Barking Lot, Stacy Brown, and all her staff are amazing. If you want your fur babies pampered, hugged, kissed and loved on for hours, this is the fur baby groomer to go to. Wouldnt take my 8 babies to anyone else!!!! Love them as they love my babies!!!!

I never give bad reviews but this place deserves 0 stars. I had an appointment scheduled for last week and quickly realized about 5 minutes after that i had a conflict of time: I tried to call back and reached a VM where i promptly left a message saying i would have to reschedule. I received a call from a random number several hours later with a woman who said the groomer was “pissed off” that i had not shown up. I explained to the woman that i left a vm to reschedule and she proceeded to tell me that there is a competitor in town that makes fake appointments and then they no-show which is who she thought i was?! Very strange. She then rescheduled me for Tuesday at noon. Here it is Tuesday at 11am and my gut tells me to to call and verify the appointment. They didn’t even have me on the books. Not impressed. Terrible customer service. I’ll continue to drive 45 minutes to my current groomer to avoid this hot mess.
Best dog groomer in town. Best services on cuts and bath I ever had done. They go beyond the expectations of what you could ever imagine and your pets always look forward to going for there spa day ! Big thumbs up 👍
Barking Lot was very accommodating. Called for an appointment and was able to get my dog groomed the very next day. I had to work that afternoon, they had him ready for pick up in plenty of time. He looked great!!!

Fabulous groomer. I drive over 40 miles because she does such a good job. I highly recommend her to all of my goldendoodle families. She especially loves goldendoodles and wont make them look like a poodle. You can leave you dog with her and know that it will be well taken care of and come out looking splendid!

The Barking Lot is a great place to get your dog groomed. They are very professional and take good care of the clients dogs (aka... the clients babies). Everyone is very nice and makes you and your pet feel welcome.
The Barking Lot is second to NONE. Cleveland Ga. Is fortunate to have such a knowledgeable caring owner and staff that KNOWS how to groom dogs properly. I like the way they take into consideration the dogs history. If the dog has a serious problem ( skin allergy, negelect, soars ect...) they will make sure the dog is 100 percent comfortable and relaxed during the session. This kind of patient ALWAYS looks happy and relieved in the end. I think Stacy has a true gift in dealing with hurting animals.Her staff is extremely well trained.They also are in touch with latest grooming trends!They just genuinely care about dogs.Harriet,Atlanta, Ga.
This is the best groom shop anywhere in (or near) Cleveland. The owner has been in the biz for going on two decades, and is an incredible animal lover. Unlike other groomers in town, she is certified. And, her doggie dos (ha ha, I made a funny) are second to none - dogs come out of her shop looking happy, proud and show ring ready. My Jessie gives this place an A+++++!

Cheif loves this place and they always seem to take good care of him, he always gets excited when I tell him hes going. Hes clean and soft when he comes home, smells good and he likes showing off his fancy bow tie as soon as he walks through the door.

Just moved here and had read some really good reviews about the barking lot. Must say that I was quite disappointed. I had a 10 o’ clock appnt and my dog was not ready until 5! What’s the point in having an appnt? Also, there were uneven cuts of fur going down the sides of my dog. For $75 I would expect better service.
Best Groomer in town! This place wins the Newspapers readers choice contest year after year, and for good reason. The groomers here love dogs and it 100℅ shows because my dog comes home smelling and looking amazing. The owner knows an insane amount about doggie skin allergies, doggie teeth and doggie general health, which has been helpful. Five paws up!!
I am so impressed with the environment that is provided for the dogs! I love how they feel like they are on vacation too! I dont crate my dogs so its great that when I travel and have to board them, they arent locked in a box! Amazing concept! Thank you

I was actually interested in getting my doodle groomed here. The owner dm’d me on Facebook, and then proceeded to block me without even talking to me. I’m still exceptionally confused why i was blocked, as she only asked me if I knew someone before I was blocked. Definitely will NEVER go here. Talk about unprofessional

2022-07-12Very disappointed! $70 dollars and they had her SEVEN HOURS! Tried calling after 4 hours. Left messages! Groomer asked me 5.5 hours in if I want short or medium cut. I filled out paperwork and signed a form in front of her and staff. Rarely do I chime in with a negative review… but this time I had to! Sorry if they had a bad day, but treat your customers right!!!! And trim the face!

2022-03-26To everyone if are in the CLEVELAND GA AREA and need to get your animal groomed or boarded THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO COME. This place is the best.I have never been treated with such kindness from someone who did not know me. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you did for me and my Doobie. You dont know how much your kindness impacted my life just when I needed it the most. I cant thank you enough. I know she(Doobie) cant either. She couldnt wait to run her new sent all over the back seat.. lol

2022-07-07I have left my Golden Doodle for week long stays with these folks, and she always comes home happy. The owners are easy to work with when coordinating drop off and pick up times. They treat our girl like their own! They’ve also just moved to a new house off of the square, which is more bright and had a great feel! It’s nice to know there’s a place like this to send our girl when she can’t tag along with us!

2021-06-30Thank you to the Barking Lot for making Pixie beautiful as always. Not many groomers around here are Familiar with the Chinese Crested breed but stacy and her employees always make pixies skin look sooo much better. They always suggest what products I should use to help clear her acne up. They also helped me figure out the cause of her allergies and what foods and products to avoid. We got her on a bath schedule to treat her skin and its almost completely cleared up. I work crazy hours and they always work with me on letting Pixie stay there as long as I need her to or as short as I need her to depending on my schedule that day. They are so observant, and always call if pixies stomach issues act up or if they have a concern. They also always cut her hair exactly like I like it. Best groomer around. Definitely give them a try if you havnt. You wont be sorry. They do only take cash or local checks. When we were a new client it was cash only but after being established we were allowed to give checks. They are a small, local owned business and I get why they dont take debit, so I am happy to pay cash or check. The staff always handles themselves professionally and respectfully. Today I witnessed a man fussing at the girl checking in because he had to go to work and she was taking to long. She politely told him that she would be with him in a second and after a smile and nice attitude the man changed his tone and apologized. It takes class and patience to be in the customer service industry...and these guys are great handling themselves. We always try to leave a nice hefty tip to show our appreciation.
