We had a birthday party here for my son. This was a very cool experience. I was definitely impressed with the setup, staff, food, and vibe. Joshua was our server and he was amazing. The kids and adults really enjoyed themselves. There were so many gaming options for the kids to play. The pricing was definitely reasonable for the party package and ordering food and drinks off the menu for the adults. We didn’t break the bank. We’ll definitely be coming back.
Went here for the 2nd time the other day and it was super fun. The food is really good. They have cool gaming names and it’s all really fun and taste great. Great service and cool staff and the inside layout is cool too. The PC rental I feel is a fair price at $7/hour. The setups have mid to high tier PCs and monitors which allow you to play your games at good FPS or graphics. There’s a good chance you have a better setup at home, especially the keyboards and mice, but it’ll definitely get you through your time without trouble. By the way you are able to log into all your own game accounts and use Google so don’t worry. They also have all types of consoles available for use. There’s a ton of areas to play by yourself, with a friend, or with a group and space for spectators too. Overall it’s a fun place to spend an evening with friends or just coming to chill by yourself. Definitely recommend.
Absolutely love battle and brew. Ive been here multiple times over the years and they never fail to amaze me with their amazing service and delicious food. Food portions are always huge so definitely make sure you share with the friend. And the gaming is a decent price. 10 out of 10 would recommend!
Battle & Brew is awesome! They have great food, a huge selection of board games and video games! Even if you arent a hard core gamer this place is a great date night spot! Eating loaded tots and playing Super Mario Party on Nintendo Switch, what else could you want on a Friday night?
Super fun idea for a date night or to go with a small group of friends. You go in and they ask you what games you want to play and take you to your table and set you up. From there, your server comes and takes your drink order. They have a nice button at the table so you can ping your server when you want to order food or pay. They have a pretty diverse drink and food menu and it was surprisingly really good. Only reason its 4 stars instead of 5 is because the service was a little slow. Our server seemed a bit overwhelmed, but these are pandemic times.
Quite literally the most fun Ive had at a game-themed restaurant and bar. Nearly every game you can imagine is housed inside. The food was great and fairly priced. For me, the drinks were the best part. Featuring pop-culture influenced names and Mixologist levels of bartending skill, lovers of spirits will be pleased!
This has been a favorite of mine for the past 4 years. I’ve brought family and friends here as well and everyone loves it. They have a wide selection of games, delicious drinks, and great food! Also the menu has items named after different video games. Truly a gamers paradise!
The food was great!!!!! The managers were awesome. If you are 18 and younger you have to leave by 11pm. They check for wristbands. Come and eat and play games. No smoking inside. Excellent place. Sweet potato fries and dipping sauce are delicious and would need to be cooked a little softer. Classic burgers was my favorite 😍
Ive been here a number of times, and have had mixed experiences. Overall environment is good if you like nerd stuff, and prices are of usual theme bars. Though reason Im putting at two stars is from my bar experience. Im a huge Craft beer nerd, and try many different beers when I can. This night I started with a nice sounding sour they had on tap, and chose the 12oz. When I received it in a plastic cun I was questioning, and noticed that it was your standard 16oz plastic cup. The questionable play was it was half way full, meaning 8oz. My friend had already drank and ordered half way drank his second when I pointed out this pour. Then I showed him the pour of a 12oz can in the same plastic cup and he was rather taken aback. I pointed this out to the bartender who acted surprised, then never gave us a under pour again. Please dont continue this for your customers, even if it was a honest mistake. When your spending $10+ per pour in craft beer, you should get the full amount.
I wish that I could save a picture so that I may share a photo but I was so angry and disappointed I just threw the whole meal away. Not only was my order incorrect but the food was absolutely gross I ordered a brisket burger or whatever it’s called with the beyond meat or impossible meat and cheese on bread and it was pink and the inside to where it died the cheese pink so gross! Not to mention the bread wasn’t even toasted at all if it was it was toasted for all of two seconds. I did not order tater tots that was for the other order. Not only that but the sweet potato fries that I always get with the marshmallow sauce once again did not come with marshmallow sauce. If it doesn’t come with marshmallow sauce I do not want it at all because they do not advertise it that way. And I believe if they don’t advertise it then of course it shouldn’t come with it but they do advertise it with marshmallow sauce on the menu and they did not put marshmallow sauce with my order so I’m extremely disappointed and this is the second time that has happened . Not to mention when dining inside the customer service is absolutely lousy and horrible they act busy when they’re not at all and they make you wait an extremely long time to get something that is trash of an order. I wouldn’t feel bad if this company just goes out of business but for their luck they serve alcohol. They need to get a better crew more people working that we know how to cook in the back and quality customer service that checks the bags and make sure that the customers order is correct and to their liking. Also stop advertising things that you do not sell or put with the order. And another thing that banana pudding is trash
This place used to be good. Now the service is terrible. If youre on the couches, be prepared for the waitress to take advantage of the fact that your paying by the hour. Took at least 20-30 minutes for every drink we ordered, yet food came out lightning quick, it was mediocre. The button was pointless, the place was empty, yet our waitress was extremely inattentive and not friendly. We spent 1:30h playing when we were handed our check, were charged for 2 hours and only had 2 drinks, our third round we asked for never came and was never charged. Clearly they wanted us out. Never been treated this way here before... probably wont go back its cheaper to play at home.
This place used to be good. Now the service is terrible. If youre on the couches, prepare to wait at least 20 minutes for every beer you order, even if the place is empty. Last time my friends and I spent 1:30h playing and we had 2 beers, because the third order never came.
Very aggressive female employee who said I needed a wristband to eat a burger at the bar, after I was already sitting down ordering, (not even drinking alcohol or wanting to, just wanted a gluten free burger & fries after the gym) and so I left- hopefully the owner can find better employees that don’t scare off potential business. So rude, she raised her voice at me When I said I was just eating a burger and said to go get ID’d. Doesn’t make sense to me, I didn’t have my cards with me which Is why I called ahead to make sure they took Apple Pay, they told me to come. Avoid this place if you can!
Battle & Brew surpassed expectations. I brought 8 tween boys for 3 hours of birthday party gaming. Everything was taken care of for us and the staff was super nice. The kids had an amazing time! Facilities are clean and free of clutter. A good but somewhat limited menu, but lots of great cocktails and beer choices. The price was also totally reasonable for 8 kids, honestly a bargain! There is couch gaming, PC/LAN gaming, table top, and VR. Plus a bunch of arcade machines for us old schoolers. Joust FTW! Thank you Battle & Brew, a great spot that I definitely plan to visit again.
Food was delicious. Very slowwwww service. Only 1 server working his tail off trying to keep up with all the tables, but 2 employees were working the greeting/checkin counter the whole time we were there. They should have been more team oriented and helped him out so we all wouldnt have to wait so long for things we asked for.
I have been trying to find a place to socialize where video games are involved, and I think this is going to be the place. When I arrived, I went up to the front counter, and the woman at the register IDd me and gave me a wristband, so I could sit at the bar. She asked what I was there for, and I said this was the first time I had come. She proceeded to explain to me the different ways groups can come together for console couches and tables for table-top games. They also had gaming PCs. You could pay by the hour or for the night to use them. I paid $14 for two hours and headed over to an open PC. I played a game of League of Legends then I needed to use the bathroom. I couldnt find it at first, so I looked around for bathroom signs. There is a huge double door painted like the TARDIS that opens into a hallway where the bathrooms are attached to. After I got back from the bathroom, I went back to my computer. Perfectly timed, a waitress comes over and asked me if I want anything. I had already looked at a menu on the computer, but I was too nervous to walk up to the crowd of people at the bar. I have autism and a pretty simple palate, so I ordered french fries, a sprite, and a simple, sweet mixed drink they make called a Health Potion. The drink was amazing. Sweet enough I didnt really taste the alcohol. Later, I ordered another. Interestingly, the fries were kinda sweet even though I expected them to be salty. I want to order salty fries next time, but the sweet ones were good enough that I cant complain. I really wish I could just order standard chicken tenders and fries, but this seems to be the best venue for what Im interested in in this area, so I will be coming back regularly once I get settled at my new job. If you see me, feel free to talk to me, as I am trying to make some new friends to game with.
I came here on a Saturday afternoon with a few friends looking for a cool vibe, playing games. We had fun playing video games. The idea of the place is nice but the food was horrible! Very bland! The cheesesteak had absolutely no seasoning, and the Caesar dressing on the salad was not a caesar dressing. My friends chicken was also over cooked and rubbery. The teriyaki sauce was very watery. I can’t say I’ll be back. Maybe when I wanna play Mario Kart.
Everytime I come here someone in our group has technical problems at the PCs. The food is normally solid but this most recent visit, everything was overcooked, service was sub par and THREE of us had technical problems. All of this lead to us leaving shortly after. For context last time we came, our group spent over $1000. This time we spent less than $200. Another bad experience and well probably stop coming.Update, we just came back and the food was great again, service was good and we were only on console so no technical problems. That being said though, we were told we needed to leave our section and play board games as groups can only have 2 hours at console stations at a time. We specifically mentioned 3 or 4 hours at the front and no one said a word. Not only did no one tell us this. Our vist 2 times ago we were at the console station for 4-5 hours. They scrambled to keep our tab open when we mentioned closing out but we closed our tab and decided to leave. Not sure why youd send away customers mass ordering food and drinks but you guys do you I guess... This is the second time we have left dissapointed.
Battle and Brew is an AMAZING place! Its a bar and grill with amazing food, creative coctails, and some TASTY food! Plus, you can pay a reasonable amount and sit at any of the totally great gaming zones, to enjoy playing anything from PC games to Board games! They have an insane variety, and the staff is both knowledgeable and nice. I have only been here a handful of times, but I love the restaurant and I would happily recommend it to any of my friends!Try it out!
On june 18th, i came in and had an amazing time. Kevin was a wonderful server. they were attentive and checked in despite being very busy, and made sure we were having a good time! this was my first time in Atlanta, and i would absolutely return if im ever here again!
Good food but the sizes of the plates are little small. Ultimately this is a place for video gaming and board games and summer activities. For those activities, it is really excellent. Even if youre not into this type of thing its a cool place to go to at least once. Friendly atmosphere with friendly people.
We paid for the private lounge area for a few hours. It was a section filled with consoles and games, from Switch to VR to Playstation/Xbox. The menu of food and drinks had cool titles like Shokugeki Burger and Clarity Potion. Its super fun, especially for those into video games and anime.
First time visiting and I really enjoyed it. A Nice geeky place to come hangout if you’re into gaming and some food. When you walk in it definitely has a cool vibe kind of how when you walk into a comic book store and you’re excited to see what’s they have to offer. It’s like a sports bar but instead of sports it’s everything geek fandom. They even do events for the Overwatch league matches which I thought is cool. On the left side is the dining tables if you wanna come and eat first. The food portion is small for what they have. When I ordered my burger it was just warm. Same thing for the fries. The service was fine and friendly no complaints. The really cool thing is the events they post ahead of time. Every day there is a different event which is cool. Overall i really liked it I only knocked a star because the food that we ordered could have been hotter. It felt like it was microwaved up. But I would still recommend coming to hangout because you come for the games/events not the food haha.
LOVE this place! We came here on a double date and had just an amazing time. The drinks are smaller than expected but very delicious and creative. I got the Korats Delight and Humble Bumble - both were so tasty! We also got loaded tots, loaded fries and sweet potato fries. We had a reservation at 6pm on a Saturday and it was quite busy when we arrived. Definitely recommend doing reservations. There is a waitlist to play the games, but it took maybe 30-45 minutes so not too bad! We drank first while we waited. The food was pretty good! We just got appetizers but it definitely was filling. There is a two hour limit and you do have to pay per hour. You can play whatever games you want thats listed on the sheet. The service was splendid, both in the dining area and the gaming area. It is pricey but for the experience, I think it was worth it! They also do add a 18% gratuity charge, just an FYI!
An awesome place for adult gamers! Here you can rent out a game console station for a flat rate of $7/hr., which can easily accommodate a group of friends (since its not a per-person or per-game basis). Each station has multiple consoles, and you can switch games as much as you want during your session. You can order food and drinks while playing, and theyll bring the order to you. They also have PC stations as well, and a few arcade games, including a DDR game. They have board games as well. When youve had enough gaming, theres a regular bar where people can unwind with a beer. Gamers and geeks will appreciate the artwork embedded in the environment, and they also have events to keep it fresh, complimenting the reasons to come back for more.
Unique experience, very reminiscent of chillin with the boys on the couch in your mothers basement... or which ever of your friends had a basement and all the video games. Come with friends.. the introverts here are incapable of reaching out, not that they cant be friendly. Week nights and weekends have a special schedule.
This place is amazing. It has a great menu, for reasonable prices. We ordered the nachos, BBQ chicken quesadilla, sweet potato fries, and cheese steak sandwich. We went at 6pm on Saturday and got our food right away. Then we played some free arcade games and DDR until a couch was available. We played console games for 2 hours and the staff was awesome and attentive. It was $13 for the first hour (before 9), then $17 for the second hour. Then we finished the night with a board game. It was $5 to rent asany games as we wanted for the whole night. My husband also got tons of drinks because he was excited to try their eclectic menu. There was also local artists work on the walls that I enjoyed perusing. I highly recommend this place to locals, out of town-ers, and anyone even slightly into gaming of any kind.
I went in for a friends birthday and it was my first time visiting. The whole staff was insanely friendly and made sure to take care of my group even though we stayed from open to close. The place itself is a nerd haven, having all sorts of games and nerd culture everywhere. Even the drinks were gaming based like this mana potion drink I had in the attached picture. Josh was our server and he made sure to take great care of us the entire time and I truly appreciate the great care he took of us. I will definitely be back next time Im in the area!
Really cool atmosphere and great place to game. There are Large TVs to watch the twitch feed. Seating for computer gaming with large TVs. Couches and large TVs for console gaming. Restaurant section unfortunately has very slow service. They have a great menu with options for vegetarian. Food was delicious.
Fantastic place to hangout with friends! They have videogame tournament replays and anime playing on the screens. They have tons of borad games you and your friends can pick up and play at your table, gamer tables with large led TVs that have different gaming consoles hooked up at each one, a VR setup in the back, and the food was great! Me and my group of friends grabbed a table from 8pm-midnight on a saturday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The current layout is crowded & hard to move around, when it gets busy and anyone sitting near the patio not only gets a blast of the cold, wet, and/or hot air, but the stench of cigarette smoke. The hostess stand, gaming stand, and entryway get congested as well as inefficient as certain gaming staff members, just stand there rather than helping to check IDs. There needs to be a bigger & better location for the smoking area and a dance floor.
Came in for a quick drink with a friend and told the staff at the entrance what we wanted to do after they asked. We went to grab a seat and then wasnt sure if we would get a server or need to grab it from the bar like we have many times in the past. So, my friend went to the bar and the bartender said, if you have a table I cant serve you.. Thats reasonable. My friend came back to the table and told me what happened. I went back to the front desk to double check that our seats were ok with the staff because we didnt know things had changed or what is/ isnt allowed. From there the server came and told us he cant serve us because we sat ourselves. We left. All this couldve been different if someone communicated with us better. We were last here in 2019 and it was like home then. However, It seemed we were unwelcomed after so much tactless service.
Here is a super cool place! We enjoyed playing Nintendo switch. The price was not that expensive. The seat was very comfortable, and the staff were friendly. They have lots of board games too. We didn’t eat anything this time but want to try their award-winning burger next time.
Great place to hang out, chat with friends and generally chill for a bit! Plenty of board games and video games to choose from. Overall, LOVE the ambiance!Food is OK--you wont be going nuts over that. Plenty of shareable options if you have a group though.Drinks are thematically sugary and with a strong pour.
5 stars for game selection and drinks. 4 stars overall because they didnt tell you ahead of time that you had to reserve a table and the wait staff was slower. Its $20/hr for the game systems and $5 for access to the board games. They had a great selection of both and also some classic arcade games.
I was honestly very disappointed in the food we ordered. Ive been coming here for years and after tonight, I believe it is my last visit. The quality of service and food has gone down to a point where I cannot ignore. I hate to see this happen because it is such a great concept. If management and the owners start to focus more on the quality of the service and quality of products served, I might reconsider coming back. I sincerely hope the menu gets a second look.
This place is a must visit if you are into game at all. They have PCs, PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox 360, Xbox one s, switch, and more. They also have a variety of multiplayer and party games as well.If you’re in a decent sized group and only playing games here it’s not to expensive. Ifs it only a couple people and your also eating, drinking and playing games it’s pretty easy to rack up a $90 bill per person.
All out amazing. While it may not be the place for a budget night, it is definitely a great once a week or every other week place. Every dish on the menu is ON POINT. The drinks are so tasty that they are dangerous. They charge hourly for video games, but if your plan was to go bowling then you should absolutely reconsider and come here instead. I will 100% be returning and recommending this place to EVERYONE. Family friendly, and a great place for adults to have a night out too.
The food was surprisingly good. Kpop sandwich and ramen deviled eggs were super tasty. This is a great concept, the guys who helped us set up our games were so nice as was our server she just didnt come by more than a few times. Other than that it was a really good time for me and my 12&15yr old boys.
The drink selection is great, the fact that they have mead on tap is just perfect for me! I will advise against going here for the food however. Maybe its because Ive eaten at places that really put thought into the flavors and quality of the food, so I might be spoiled 🤔The food is essentially non offensive. I tasted the preservatives more than anything. Ive always laughed at white people food jokes, but this establishment really made a joke into a reality with their mac n cheese. It was simply uninspired kraft with super bland bread crumbs. I will say in their defense that the Peter Parkers Pickles and Peppers were okay. Fairly standard fare but I will be eating prior to drinking here in the future.Otherwise it is a clean establishment with basic service and excellent drink selections.
We had my nephew’s birthday party here and it was great! Our group had a private area, the food was great and more than anything, Joshua was exceptional. He was attentive and always happy to check in. A great place for gamers and those who appreciate excellent service and fun cocktails- alcoholic and non!
A bar that plays overwatch league and anime? Yes. Strong drinks, sweet potato fries, PC and console gaming with a few arcade machines throughout. They also serve food and drinks to your PC. Apparently there is now a cafe during the mornings. I also attended a private corporate event there with wonderful service. This place has improved so much. Stop by if youre into nerdy things.
Been here a couple of times, usually with a big group of friends. Computers are top notch with a great selection of games. I was there recently for a friends birthday celebration - there were about 6 of us on a Saturday evening and we were all able to get on PCs at the same time. The key is getting there early, like before 9 because thats when it starts getting busier. The food is also good - I always get the wings. For some reason, they let you eat while gaming, and despite this the stations are always clean. Will return and again and again.
My friends and I went here for my bachelors party! We had so much fun playing Smash and Mario Party! The atmosphere is awesome, and the staff were very nice! Prices are pretty competitive too! Wish I could come all the time, but we live in Charleston! If youre a gamer, and find yourself in Atlanta, you have got to check this place out!
This was super cute. Had a reservation for 9:45pm. Decided on the couch area that also came with a table and additional chair. Nice large 4K TV and a decent gaming list. The chips for the nachos and Spin and Art dip were good. I had the Cowboy Bulgalgi and it was a nice portion and tasted fine. This is not the place to come for the food. It’s the environment. They’ve even got awall filled with board games. If you’re looking for a cute date night or place to take your gamer friends…this is a great option. I can’t wait to go back.
The concept is cool. Staff and food / drinks were good. However, we spent half of our 2 hour time allotment switching out controllers that didnt work correctly. When we were told that our time was up, we asked if we could get a bit more time since we had so much downtime due to faulty controllers and we were told that no one could be in a gaming space for more than 2 hours when there was a wait. And for the icing on the cake, everyone in our party ordered food and drinks, and they still had the nerve to charge us for the full 2 gaming hours even though half of it was botched because of faulty controllers. Had I known it was going to be a $120 night out for some bar food and games I have at home, I wouldnt have wasted my time, energy or money going there. Kinda sad because the concept is pretty great, but the delivery was poor to say the least.
This place has a fantastic atmosphere, but only if youre a gamer. How it works as you rent a gaming area with console by the hour. You are not stuck with your game or console you can easily ask to have it swapped. The staff is pretty fast about it and generally just pretty cool in general. They have a lot of games for you to choose from and they keep up to date. They even have PC gaming stations. And if youre a retro fan thats cool too cuz they got Nintendo 64 and arcade machines. The food is pretty good for bar food I didnt have any drinks so take that as it is. All in all if you want to play some games with your friends get a few drinks and some bar food this is the place no doubt.
Whether youre here for the board games; the computer games; the gamERs; the trivia nights; the costumes… or just the world-class menu of clever cocktails and rich comfort food, Battle & Brew has something for everyone. Many a late night has been spent howling in laughter there, and I hope there are many more to come as well. If you have geeky friends visiting from outside Atlanta, this is the spot to bring them–– especially if you want to give them an excuse to visit you more often!
Fun atmosphere, drove over an hour to meet friends and have a fun night of dining and games. We’ve been here a few times because there’s nowhere else like it around. Had a few issues with getting the servers attention, but we weren’t in a hurry and it was a Saturday night. Lo and behold, we had ordered multiple appetizers, drinks, dinner, and as we were ordering desserts we were told “sorry, your time is up and we have to ask you to move to a seating area so others can use this tv area.”So, halfway during a game of Mario Golf, and while trying to order more food and drinks, we were told to change where we were sitting, EXCEPT then we were told all the regular tables were full. Despite looking around and seeing vacant gaming areas just like ours. We basically had to leave. We asked if we could have more time, or buy more, as we drove from out of town to hang out here and were told no. We know “rules are rules” but tried to mention it to the waiter, and the people at the front desk where we were then told we could only occupy areas for 2 hours when they have a wait. Well, the reason any restaurant has a wait is because customers got there before other people, and they are eating and spending money, and you can choose to wait or leave, but never make the spending customers leave. I’ve never been asked to leave anywhere while still ordering food. I like Battle and Brew, but that’s ridiculous. To summarize, 4 adults were made to put their dinner down, were unable to order dessert and made to leave because of people who got there after us.Anyway, Battle and Brew, come for a good time, just not a long time. Very disappointed.
I recently moved to the area and have been on the hunt for a good burger joint. This place claimed to have the best burgers in Sandy Springs and it truly did not disappoint! Their Ghostbuster Burger has become my new favorite burger (sorry Vortex) and it made me realize that I apparently like pimento cheese! Not a fan of burgers? Weird, but fret not because BnB offers a ton of other great bar foods to choose from! The Captain Caveman chicken sandwich has personally ended The Chicken Sandwich Wars for me and sits #1 on my list (sorry Popeyes)Food aside, Battle and Brew had many wonderful cocktails to offer and the option to play games while dining was such a unique fun experience! I totally expected greasy sticky controllers when I heard you could dine and eat, but the staff at Battle and Brew really stay on top of cleaning all the controllers before anyone plays them! (sorry Covid)10/10 would recommend for dates, special events, or even just a solo night out! Will most definitely be returning!
Update 4/17/22: there is a new item on the menu called the A:TLA… best BLT I have had in my life.I love this place. What more is there to say? The food, service, environment, and drinks are unmatched. You truly can’t beat $7 for unlimited board games and creative cocktails/entrees. I recommend the Cowboy Bibimbap!
Games, drinks, food, AND fun events (like competitions, trivia, etc), this is a gamer’s paradise. This place offers multiple gaming stations all with a PS4, XBone, and Switch with an impressive collection of the latest game. Pay as you play is the model here where it is based on how much time you spend. If your friends down own consoles but you still want to wreck them at Mario Kart, bring them here. Their cocktails have fun names and unique mixes, definitely enjoyed the Blood for the Blood God (pictured). Check out this place during the week for more space or in the weekend for a crowd. They also offer a lounge and a dining section.
I havent played a video game in 10+ years but came in for a drink. Close at midnight on sundays. Bartender was crazy pretty and had plenty of jokes to make everyone laugh. Humus was actually really good. Beer list was very impressive. They got Pappy Van Winkle whiskey! Its a fully stocked bar. Bartender was very knowledgeable and made traffic recommendations.
I want to be super honest on this review. I am giving one star because of my experience. The food is great, I have no complaints on that part. I went for all-night gaming, dinner, and drinks. So just that everyone in here is aware this does not include all you can eat or all you can drink. The sentence implies that everything is included/unlimited and is not. Nobody told you anything until it was time to leave they hit you with another check for the drinks. The computers took a while to set up, for me and my friends. Bad headsets some of the games required updates.
Love this place! me and my boyfriend come here for trivia nights sometimes. its always a blast! they have a good selection of games, though we usually just play mortal kombat. their food is really good too, as are their drinks! kinda pricey, but worth is for the experience. never had a bad time here before!
This place is awesome! Had a big group of friends and my wife that all went and were thoroughly impressed. Atmosphere is great, game selection is great, food and drinks are fun and delicious, and the servers are amazing! Definitely recommend 110%! You won’t regret going 😁 P.S.: expect to wait on your food and drinks though on fridays and saturdays as they get busy. But if you work with them, you are guaranteed to have a great time.
Didnt know what to expect here, came to visit some friends. Good vibes here, Friendly atmosphere- not too rowdy, and its super affordable. I had to double check my receipt, and I looked at my bartender because I thought he left something off my bill- he didnt! Nice place if you wanna be low key and play every game known to the universe!
This place is awesome!! If you like games of any kind, youll be in love. They have a variety of board games and video games. The black bean burger is pretty decent. If you have to choose between fries and tator tots, definitely go with the tots. This would totally be my go to spot if I lived closer. Too bad there isnt one in the city.
A gaming bar that hosts themed events, trivia and is all about gaming, SciFi, DnD, and comic related fanfare. If your not interested in gaming/games, this could still be the place youd have your back to the Future fan club meetings. A very niche community here its a unique ubiquitous experience to share. An absolute blast to be at.Great food (including regular LTO specials) and drinks. Great, diverse atmosphere!Update: staff has mostly turned over but theres still very much the same feel in the building
Cool atmosphere and all, but wont be back. The waitress we had basically just ignored our table the entire time. Even tried to flag her down for drink refills, made eye contact and waved and everything to bring her over and she never came back till it was time for the check. Appetizers were decent bit overpriced. Dragon Talons (chicken tenders) were very good, but it was the only part of the meal that was more than adequate. If you are looking for a place to game with some friends, this place is probably cool.. but dont come here just to eat dinner or you might be disappointed.
I was looking forward to the Bluto Buster for almost my entire day and called in to order a semi large to-go order and got what I feel like is a half put together order. Drove 35 minutes one way and when I got home was met with a regular grilled cheese(which wasn’t even a good grilled cheese) instead of a spinach dip grilled cheese which is what the Bluto Buster is and cheese topped tater tot’s instead of the chicken Parmesan tots. I am very much unhappy with the service I received.
Went the other night with some friends of mine and had a great time! The place is really cool, but the service was less than impressive. It took us over an hour and a half to get our food, and never got two of the drinks we ordered. By the time we were ready to leave, our food still hadn’t come out. I flagged down the waitress to just ask her to take off the food and missing drinks, but when we got back to the table the food had arrived so we decided to just eat there. Afterwards we waited another hour to even get the check, which I then again went to flag down the waitress because at that point we had another hour of game time tagged on our ticket while we were just sitting around. Totally understand when things go wrong in the service industry, but I think we had just wished for some communication from either the staff or management instead of being left in the dark. For that reason, I don’t think I’ll be back here and if so maybe go on a chiller night. My other friends go there all the time and only have great things to say, I’m just disappointed that this was my first impression of them.
I hadn’t been to Battle and Brew in several years, but had the opportunity to go meet up with a friend there recently. The service was phenomenal at every turn! Food was also fantastic, even better than I remembered. Drink selections were great too, I was pleased with how many ciders and meads were available. Thanks for a great visit!
This has been one of my favorite places ever since before when they were up in Marietta. I hadnt been since before the pandemic and came back to find a few changes. The whole night was kinda brought down by the 2 hour couch limit which we werent told about when we got around 7. After were shut off, were told we need to be added to the wait list to play again. Looking around the place there were 4 couches on our side and 2 across the room that had been empty since we arrived. When I asked the wait time, it was an hour and a half. So we sat and played board games and drank. We waited about over an hour and STILL there were more than 4 couches open with no one playing and when I asked about a couch again, I was told we needed to keep waiting. At this point, we just left. Might come back for the nostalgia and atmosphere (great drinks and foods) but the hosts process for playing ruined the night. I mean were trying to give them money and they chose to just have empty seats for hours.
This place was a cool concept. They have the table top and video games part of the business done very well. The food however was a huge miss for me. $16 for a very, very simple cheesesteak that lacked even salt and pepper seems pretty unacceptable to me. I’d be back for games, not for food or drinks.
Alcohol, snacks, video games, and TTG. $7/hr per person, or $29 all day. Board games cost another $5 for the day. They also have private areas and a couch area for extra. Excellent beer and drink selection, and their custom cocktails are fantastic. Great way to spend the evening (and your money) with your nerdy group of friends.
Great place just always packed and hard to get a table. While the concept is great, they lack a lot of people who understand managering or even economics. Telling people they cant rent a couch to game because later that night other people might use it for trivia? We would use it now for over an hour before trivia and youd make money plus your sign says you can relocate people. If the food and atmosphere werent so solid their people who run the place would be doomed.
I’m fully convinced that these peoples business model is based on entrapment. Me and 2 friends visited Last Wednesday after making reservations and also making it clear we had never been. The hostess’s really couldn’t of cared less while they rushed through explaining their insainely complex system and not once did they mention the rate for gaming. We get to the game area and play and order and it took nearly an hour for them to make a simple grilled cheese and salad. By the time our food got there we were trying to leave and had we y’all would of accused us of theft seeing as NOBODY TOLD US A RATE PER HOUR FOR THE GAMES EVEN EXISTED. The cherry on top is that in a desperate attempt to leave this place I handed the waiter the wrong card, and they ran it and it declined. No biggie wasn’t meant to be used, but explain why there’s a random charge from battle and brew on the card that got “declined”. Super suspicious, especially partnered with the fact that the owner goes feral on reviews about similar issues. Overall an extremely unprofessional business, avoid this place at all costs.UPDATE: they finalized the charge today, stole the money from me, and when I called the manager hung up on me.
Very unique vibe not seen anywhere else. I Google for a bar nearby and this place showed up the closest. Turned out to be fun experience. There were screens everywhere, comfy cruces filled with people glued to their video games. People we also playing board games on tables and enjoying their food. Food was average, but I was busy with the ambience!
Great atmosphere for hanging out with your friends - you can play board games, video games, and even VR. They have a number of events too, so this is a great place for gamers and geeks to hang out and meet. Food isn’t the best for its price, but it’s passable. They serve a wide array of themed drinks, which is pretty cool too.Overall service is really good, and the servers are pretty attentive.
It was honestly an incredibly fun experience. Im surprised more people havent captilazied on this concept. Having a social, drinking, gaming experience with friend in a public environment was a ton of fun. The drinks tasted phenomenal and thats coming from someone who is normally terrible with the taste of alcohol. Be wary, because the cost can really rack up. Otherwise, 10/10 would come back again.
This was a cool place! My husband is a gamer so I figured this was a spot with trying. They have social distance measures in place! They clean the gaming stations after every use! The food was delicious and we were able to place unlimited games for a fairly reasonable price! My husband truly enjoyed himself, I’m not much of a gamer but I had a great time also! Definitely worth checking out!
Really fun place. They have vegan options (Beyond Burgers) for those with dietary restrictions. Most of the clientele is in their 20s.Basically a restaurant/bar where you can select board games and bring them to your table. Alternatively, can play video games on select consoles/computers.The 1 star lost was cause my server at the time I went there took forever to take our orders and could barely find her, wasnt a busy day either. Ill have to see how it is next time I visit.
The table top games are extensive.Limited cabinets of your looking for thatMostly pc and consoles.Ordered the shokugeki burger, dry needed seasoning and pork belly was tasteless.Korean BBQ is more like the sauce you dip pot stickers in.Nice place aside from food though.
I went yesterday with some friends, the place is nice for gaming people. Food was ok, I ordered a side of sweet potato fries, I was about to eat and I found a hair in the dish, I told the server and he just took my plate away without saying a word and bring a new plate after 20 minutes or so when the entire dish was already finished but it was so obvious they just took the hair off and fried the sweet potato all over again to make it hot and make it look like a new plate, Server gave me my new plate all greasy and almost burned. They didnt even apologize for it. Worst customer service experience I had in Atlanta so far.
I love this place. Such a great gathering place for nerds of all varieties. I love the events they have. Trivia night, cosplay, etc. Their food is the only thing that could really improve. It always looks better than it tastes. Could really use some more flavor and seasoning
Favorite bar menu. Mozzarella sticks are very good. Very unique drinks here which makes it a hard choice to keep the tab under budget. Gaming areas are very comfortable and clean and service is usually pretty fast. I dont like when kids are in the building but theyre usually out by 10 or 11. Great place to meet up in groups or have a date night
Great place for dinner and games. its quaint with a nice vibe to it very quiet place during the day at least until 6. Huge array of games to choose from including console and board games. Food is amazing there! Cooked fresh to order doesnt take very to receive it either. Great place for older teens to adults. Its definitely a no judgement zone.
The food is routinely good when ordering typical pub fare. The experimental cocktail drinks are fun. The servers always have a ton of personality. They are using disposable plate wear right now, which is a little distracting from a sit down dining experience.Any board games you use then sit on a shelf for 3 days to ensure limited/no germs pass from party to party.
Great vibes and always coming up with creative food and drinks. Staff are super nice. The drink menu is killer, both the beer selection and the cocktails. There are some food options on the healthy side, and theyre delicious, but B&B really shines when theyre making, like, a cheeto-topped chimichanga that could kill god. The chefs talents def arent limited to pub grub either-- there was a DAMN good pork belly special a while back you could place at a Fancy Restaurant. Also: bring back the dragon king of the east sea!!
The staff were amazing! So helpful and nice. We came for a birthday party and they let the kids play overtime since there wasnt anyone else in line. We ordered the mushroom swiss burger as a beyond burger and it was awesome!!! The fried pickle appetizer great as well. Thank guys, well definitely be back!
Brought my 2 sons here for food and games and the service was just horrible barely seen my server no refills were offered nothing was suggested. Just a straight up order taker. They add 18% gratuity and gave me bad service. I have been a bartender for 10 plus years and don’t mind tipping at all in most cases i over tip. I just hate being treated badly or getting bad service and the server collects a decent tip for indecent work. Do better we will try again soon
We came here for the first time a few months ago and I was expecting a place to hang out with your friends and play video games. What I wasnt expecting was amazing food and drinks. I was pleasantly surprised when my first order came out and the drink was delicious and the food was great! The drinks come out like the drinks you see at bars on TV. Trivia night is always really fun and the environment is awesome, you feel like you can be yourself. Wait staff and bartenders are always really nice too
4-5-21. I came here 4-3-21 Saturday and actually enjoyed the food and beer. Today I get hit with fraud alerts from my card I used. I dont shop online and havent used my card anywhere else that it would not be in my posession. As of now Im skeptical of the waitresses because the transactions were for womens clothing and beauty. If you dare go use cash only, there may be some vultures lurking.4-8-21 In response to the Manager. My bank is already handling the situation and Ive checked my card history for the past 120 days which the majority of it is gas transactions. I apologize if the one time I hand my card off this happens and you feel I shouldnt put my blame here, and I apologize if it wasnt one of your employees. Ill change my review after it is resolved. This is the entire point of consumers leaving reviews in the event the public should be aware of a possible situation. Have a wonderful day.
Ive been going to BnB since it was in Marietta. It was unique back then, but now the Sandy Springs location provides a similar vibe with more space, all the games, great staff, and amazing food and drinks. Last time I was there I had the Gyro, the special for Greek Mythology Trivia. It was delicious and I enjoyed the way they always have their themes on point!
We had a birthday party there and worked out a pretty great deal. The Dragons Nest is a favorite. Drinks where nice and strong, great value for the money. The steam punk room is amazing, the VR console is dope. 2 issues (one of which they can do nothing about) traffic getting off the exit & our waitress wasnt as attentive until it was time for us to go. I understood tho, we didnt have the turnout we expected.

2022-06-05Love this place! The staff is always always super kind. It’s honestly a safe haven to be able to nerd out with my friends. The food is really good, especially the tots. The drinks are cute too. They’re always running events too. I’ve been going for the mead and minis which is great! If you’re questioning checking out this place - don’t! Just go!

2021-11-28What a cool place to get drinks and play video games or board games. Feel free to bring in whatever board games you own, they have a pretty decent selection as well. The servers were very kind to us, the drinks were really great (even the non-alcoholic ones), and the food was better than I thought it was gonna be.A little pricey when compared to playing games at home, but the atmosphere and food is worth. I can definitely see us coming back a few times a year.

2022-04-03It was very obvious that this establishment is focused on the geeky experience of videogame and boardgame lovers alike. There is a broad variety of games and consoles to choose from for friends and dates. The bar is set at the center for anyone to have easy access, if of age of course. This place is ideal for a fun night out when it comes to good drinks and games. That is what allows Battle and Brews to keep its four-star rating, because it would seem the food comes second. I was very much not happy with my burger and even less satisfied with the dessert. I got myself the Thicc Brownie which made my mouth dry up immediately. The fries I got for my side were actually pretty good, but didnt fill me up, so having to take in the below average burger was unfortunate. Thing is, I would return, because the staff was very nice and handled the busy environment very well; additionally, the place is very fun and welcoming. I appreciate the established aesthetic and mood that is set as soon as you enter. I will try something else because maybe it was just the burger that wasnt to my liking. We will see.I certainly recommend this place for gamers. Battle and Brew is really good for dates, especially first dates, and there is a good amount of vegan and gluten free food options to pick from, so anyone can find something to order. As far as whether you like it... everyone has their own taste. 🤷🏽♂️

2022-01-02This is a nerd’s paradise. They have board games, consoles, and pc to play. The drinks are reasonable priced. The staff is super friendly. My favorite is the Tardis in the back which you only understand if you watch Doctor Who. A great spot to come with friends and hang out.

2022-01-24We came here for a Birthday party for an adult Gamer. What you get for the price is amazing. We had the 2nd tier VIP experience and our area was private enough for our needs. Our server was the best! Shout out to the hospitality manager that served us during their staffing shortage. He MADE the experience worthwhile. Will definitely be coming back. The flood and drinks were great too!

2022-03-25Absolutely amazing. I have no words for how much I enjoy this place. We rented out the private area for my wedding’s after party, and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Our servers (Quentin in particular) were absolutely amazing, so friendly, and made sure everything was exactly as we wanted it. Thank you to B&B for making our special day even more special and nerdy, and booze filled!

2021-10-26The place is spacious. Plenty of seating for game playing and dining. What I absolutely love is that the food and drinks are just as great as the purpose of the place. I hate going to a game bar where youre served poor bar food. B&B does not disappoint my belly or my dopamine time hanging with friends. Also, they have a great event calendar- always something new and fun. I hope they open more locations! ((( Grant Park specifically, ha )))

2022-03-21Absolutely wonderful experience. Im vacationing from VA and found this on TikTok. My boyfriend is a hardcore gamer and loves when I wanna join in. This met all his expectations and I even highly enjoyed it. They don’t take reservations so a Saturday can be busy but it’s definitely worth the hype and the wait. The food was wayyyy better than expected for place where you focus on games. Phenomenal experience all the way around and wish VA had something even close to this.

2022-01-29Battle and Brew is amazing! The place feels full but not overly packed and they have a wide selection of drinks. Whether you are looking for a niche beer or a custom cocktail, they have a great selection. They have game stations and tables which you may have to wait a while for but the setting is worth the wait. Very cool place with great food and drinks and a wait staff that looks the part. Highly recommend!

2021-08-24Great experience every time. Helpful staff. Great food and large selection of games (both video and board). Only critique is that the food portions are small. Overall Im not a video game nerd but I still enjoy it.
