Worst hotel ever. Mold in shower, wallpaper in bathroom coming loose, no shower door, Black dirty stain in toilet and dirty carpet. Room smelled musty. And not even a bag breakfast after advising breakfast. If I dont get sick I will be surprised. Room 213. Nothing renovated.
Awful motel dont go there if you expect a clean friendly place. When we checked in and went to our room and went in the smell of mould was overwhelming. The first thing we noticed was the carpet it was so very dirty with what looked like bodily fluids and mold. Same way with couch it was awful. The dust ruffle around the box springs was the worst it had all kinds of stains on it no telling where the stains were from i could only guess from where i didnt try to think about it. The next thing was the first morning at 7:15 am we went to the breakfast area for the so called hot breakfast there was nothing there except 2 prepackaged muffinsThe next morning we went to go checkout at 4:23 am because we couldnt stand the smell when we got to the hallway door to the lobby it was locked we knocked on the door finally someone came to the door he said to push our room cards thru the crack and leave out the room hallway doors. I would liked to have discussed our problems before i wrote this review
First the pool was down when we were told it was open before making the reservation. Second and most importantly, BedBugs. We checked in the room and at first it looked clean but when we pulled the mattress we found live bedbugs up close to the head board. We were able to get in the days inn down the road but while we were leaving the night manager was actually renting the room we just left.
Run far away from this place. I booked a room with 2 queen beds and told they had none available when I got here. I told him I paid for 2 beds and I was not sleeping with my male trainee. After arguing for 5min the manager on duty gave me a key to another room which was occupied. I told him i wanted a refund and he said he couldnt do it. He gave us original room and said it had a pull out sofa. No sheets or pillows for pull out. Ill never return.
Very accomodating and relaxing hotel, not too crowded! Front desk was super friendly and kind. The room was comfortable, clean, and very reasonable pricing. There are multiple businesses just a short walk away from here. There is a mexican market just across the street with daily fresh made BBQ chicken that is delicious! Also a few more steps and you have a Walmart Supercenter and a Sams Club. Very convenient and well located. Ample parking and quiet. Overall a very good place to be. 5 stars! 🌟
We enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and in good order, only complaint was the bed pillows were small. The Indian lady at the front counter made our stay very pleasant due to her commitment to customer satisfaction. She was very pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed. We would stay again!
The Wyndham hotel chain means a certain level of hotel to me. This hotel did not meet those standards. We only stayed one night so not so much a big deal. First the staff we delt with was amazing. We got checked in with no problem and the young man was super friendly.The hotel itself is a bit run down. Stained carpet, walls marked up, paint peeling. The bathroom was probably the only thing that has been updated. Bed was comfy
As a nurse working in the city of Rome, I thought this would be a decent place. However, for this type of motel the rates are too high. It is a hot mess at nighttime after getting off work. There’s tweakers, smokers, etc... even saw one of the workers son acting belligerent & throwing belongings everywhere. It’s almost like a hood hangout and they have the audacity to act like they know nothing about any health care discount. Every time I asked I got the run around until finally they gave me a decent rate. However, when I checked my charges I was still charged more than what I was quoted. If I wasn’t a strong woman, I wouldn’t have even approached this place...
Awful. I only planned on staying a night to visit a friend. First, I could hardly find the place because the map directions were deceiving - Google maps led me to a random neighborhood. When I finally found the place, the staff was not wearing masks, my room reeked of cigarette smoke, and they didnt do anything about it. (There were apparently no rooms to transfer me to and no available housekeeping staff to help.) I checked out immediately (after taking the elevator where someone had just smoked weed) and found a new hotel. Wasted my money.
I am very picky about how clean a hotel should be but I had no worries here because the place is very clean the beds are comfortable and I didn’t have to ask for anything. Ms Neha and all the other staff have been great on getting us a room and really nice and helpful. This hands down is a great place to stay if you want great clean rooms and friendly staff that will accommodate your needs while you stay. So Thanks again for a great stay at the Baymont in Rome!!
Someone went in my room and stole my stuff while i was out the room pretty sure it was someone in the staff called cops made a report but didnt find anything cause the cameras in the building just so happen not to work the rooms are nasty the floors in halway is even worse my boss will be paying his lawyers to take them to court over ally belongings we will make sure this doesnt happen to anyone else the girl at counter had a guy hanghing outside and two people staying said they seen him coming from the 3 floor with a bag full of stuff also will be calling the code department and health inspector fire alarms dont work alot of stuff that could have them shut down in 2 secs see ya in court
Well worth the money. My room was clean and very comfortable. They have a sleek contemporary vibe. I even took the fitted sheet off to look at the mattress. I checked in at 1:34 am and the night clerk was most helpful. The free breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, waffles, sausage and bacon.I highly recommend it and would stay again myself. The very few issues I experienced was I could hear the phone alarms of the guest in adjoining rooms and the thermostat on my AC unit was broke but it still kept the room cool. Otherwise a pleasant hotel experience.
I was here for about an hour and my room smelled awful the walls have markings on them and when i turned the water on it was brown yes that’s right brown the only reason i give a two is because of the nice lady i. the front office please fix this and the shower had stuff in it liked it had just been used.
1st and foremost the hotels managerial staff is one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful Ive come across. The Indian lady was so rude and uncompromising, I wish she would lose her job but Im sure its owned by her husband or cousins.Overall the room was clean and comfortable... however the housekeeping staff KEPT trying to enter the room without announcing their presence. I found that highly annoying.
This hotel was first rate with decor and cleanliness. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were plush and the decor was very modern and updated. There was a great variety of food offered for breakfast, which was included in the stay. It was a very quiet and safe atmosphere for me and my small grandson. We enjoyed our visit tremendously. I will definitely stay again if I need a room while visiting my family.
This is a decent hotel even if the location is rather secluded. They could install more outdoor security lights. I went outside to walk my dogs and it was a little unsettling because it was dark and secluded. There are a lot of woods around the hotel and I just wasnt comfortable. I stayed close to the hotel which I normally wouldnt do when walking my dogs. If there had been better lighting, I would have been able to walk them farther away. Aside from that, the rooms were clean and nice enough. Staff was pleasant. Easy check in and check out.
I rarely give 3 stars, but I have to b honest. I stayed at this place twice a year apart. The first time was good, it was just renovated. But the 2nd time I was not impressed. The room smelled quite strongly. The walls were so thin you would think the people next door were in your room. On the plus side, the stuff was very very nice! No exercise room is a bit unusual.

Very nice staff and personnel, but not quite as effective as needed. Room did not have a coffee maker in it as it was supposed to. I was able to request it and it was brought to me. Housekeeping never replenished the in room coffee Supply. I requested them email my final bill as I was a very early departure, it took two phone calls two days later to finally get this. Room was clean the AC and heat unit in my room ran out of about 97 decibels. Far too loud for any hotel.
The hotel is going through renovations which is much needed. But there are problems was staying here for instance 11 p.m. the entire lobbyist shut off locked up from outside to come in also another set of doors for all of us guess are locked so we cant even get to the lobby. Which means me being a smoker which I know is bad but anyhow I have to go out one of the side doors which are not well lighted and is awful dark because Im also a night person not a day person. Really really needs much more renovation and upgrades. This is one of the problems in my room 310 also certain receptacles and fixtures like lamps have problems and does it work really great. Everyone that we have met is very friendly and very helpful but still it is what it is.
The shower would not get warm no matter how long I let the water run. Also, the lobby is closed from 11pm-6am, meaning that if you need the front desk during those times, too bad. I realized I forgot my toothbrush and had to go to a gas station to buy one because the front desk was no longer open by the time I realized. I have never been in a hotel that locks their doors and lobby and night, and I found it very inconsiderate to the guests.
We were desperately seeking for a place to stay for 5 nights for a basketball tournament. The hotel we booked had cancelled our reservation with no notification and hotels at a decent price that were close were completely booked. I called Baymont and Betty was very impressive, kind, and helpful. She immediately held 2 rooms, offered adjoining rooms and the price was better than where we were booked. Upon arrival she quickly checked us in, she was more apologetic regarding our accidental cancellation than the other hotel was. The housekeeper even took over washing my sons uniform the next morning and brought it back to our room once it was clean!! The only issue was with both rooms TV. Betty worked very hard to resolve the issue and offered to move our rooms but we declined, we were exhausted and just grateful for a place to stay. The staff, especially Betty :) is extremely friendly and helpful, we were so pleased how this trip ended up!
I got put in a room that didnt match my reservation (reserved a king but got queen room), the TV didnt work at all, the room was dirty (fries and dirt on the floor), and there was no coffee pot (but there was a coffee maker). When I expressed these issues to the front desk, they didnt seem to care much. They said they would tell the manager and see if might be able to do something for me. Very dissatisfied with my experience.
My first issue is every room smell like strong bleach and carpet dust, old paint! The sheets dont be changed! The house keepers always walking into my rooms at 9:30am even tho I have check out at11:00pm! They knock so quietly so you dont know they coming in! The house keeper was cussing and going off saying she cant clean her rooms cause I got late check out! The front desk neha always saying something smart! They steal money out there cash draw cause Im Getting accused of 20 dollars missing and I cant wait to something get down! I spent over 5000 dollars at this hotela
Dont expect a hot breakfast didnt get a good breakfast the shower curtain on the shower kept falling off the roof in the bathroom leaked a little bit the only reason I am giving it a 3 star is because the employees were really nice and the customer service was great but overall it wasnt the best room
I will not give a star we stayed there had a room booked with a Jacuzzi in the room we arrived never got that room they booked it with someone else so stayed in another room found a weed pipe that was broke in the bathroom and stepped on the glass from it and they will not refund my money minus 6 stars
Recently remodeled. Very nice place and a great location. Super friendly staff. Only problem I had was they had thiiin walls. I could hear the television and people talking in the room next to me. Also could hear every step that the people above us took. Not really something the hotel could control but still. Other than that its a super nice place. I would recommend.
I had to keep gling to tje front desk begging to house keeping to clean the bathroom .The third day I clean it myself. The housekeepers are lazy, and the first shift receptionist complain about the sheets being dirty. Well hell do yall have laundry to clean the sheets. I do have two small children. Nerver again will I stay here. When my time is up which is in 2 days...NO!
After driving 7 hours to visit my brother in the hospital in Rome, we were all exhausted. Even though we arrived a couple of hours before check in time.. The manager Diane was most gracious and took care of three tired sisters. She read on the comments of the reservation I made on line that I had asthma and made sure the room was aired out and fresh of any cleaning chemicals. That is a big STAR in my book.... our room was clean, inviting and most comfortable. Diane, Melissa and Bradley are a wonderful asset to the visitors of Rome, Ga. I look forward to staying at this Baymont on Shorter Ave anytime I come to Rome.Thank you staff....
The location is great, security is a top priority, the room was VERY clean, the amenities were well updated & working properly, and Neha, who checked me in & out was so welcoming & helpful with information she anticipated I would need. Easy, enjoyable stay at a great price!!
Newly remodeled looks great Kim and dharius were very pleasant and showed me a couple of rooms look forward to staying here tonight they have modern bathrooms with sinks nice toilets nice clean showers clean bedding modern lamps with USB connections nice carpet and a good AC distance they also have a swimming pool. Most importantly it appears to be very clean.
Be very careful and look over your room thoroghly. If you see any damage at all even a scratch on the furniture report it to the desk immediately. I suggest having whomever is at the front desk go with you and walk your room. I was charged $200 for a door that was damaged when I checked in. I approached the mananger to try and resolve this issue to no avail. So needless to say I disputed the charge with my bank. Also called Wyndham corporate offices and filed a formal complaint. Its obviously something they do often. I overheard the person at the front desk on the phone with another customer however they were willing to reverse their charges. Im sorry but Im not gonna pay for something I didnt damage. I also think I shouldnt be held responsible for management or their employees not doing their jobs.
WARNING!! Do not stay at this hotel!!Owner and Management are shady and has no integrity. Rooms are not clean and bathrooms are filthy. Please dont use your credit card because they will make unauthorized charges on your card! Stay away from this failing hotel. Also parking is bad and the pool is NASTY!!!
When ever I come to Rome, I stay @ the Baymont. Never had a issue with staff or the actual room. Aparently they hv new staff or under new management. I stayed this past weekend my tv did not work ( gave me $20 off a night) which i thought was not enough. The water was brown. And also my sheets were dirty. Needless to say i will not stay there again.
The room smelled like smoke, the air conditioner did not work, and we were charged over $40.00 in addition to our room cost for towels that housekeeping reported were missing. During the course of a 12 day cross country trip we stayed in 8 different hotels, and this was the only one that we had issues with. Worst experience and sleep of our trip. Stay ANYWHERE else!
Upon checking out I left my Amazon fire stick attached to the television set.well when I was on my way home for the weekend and I realize what I had done I called and the receptionist working went into the room and got it for me and put it up behind the desk.I told him I would be back Monday and get it from him and he said that would be fine it would be there. Well,when I went by to get it from him he told me it was locked up in the managers office so I would have to come back and that I did the next night and he said she did not leave it out so I would have to come back again. And which I did on Wednesday night and it was still not there.on Thursday night when I went back to retrieve it Im already getting a little aggravated about this,this woman that was working had a key for the managers office and check and looked everywhere and it was nowhere to be found which it and it was confirmed as they had itthey acted like it wasnt really a big deal that one of their employees has stolen my firestick and now two weeks later they are logged into my account still and ordering stuff off of my firestick and I still act like with no big deal so to me that means they are used to having people that work for them steal the customers items. Overall it was just everything about it a disappointment for it to be a Baymont
I stayed at the baymont for 5 days after getting kicked out by my parents.... as a teen mom I was so terrified to take my son into a hotel environment but the staff made it amazing. A lady from my church had informed them of our situation and they constantly went above and behind to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed. One of the desk ladys even left me a note everyday to come in from work to reminding me about how God had his hand in our situation... it doesnt matter if youre religious or not I still highly recommend this amazing hotel. I never knew complete strangers could leave such a lasting impression on my heart. Me and my son are forever thankful and will go back if we ever need somewhere to go again.
Because they will run unauthorized transactions on the card left on file without permission an even when it’s paid they still try to take money out your card and once problem was identified the staff at the desk said they apologized and then blamed management instead of assisting me in the situation they told me that’s to bad
I understand cutting cost, BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! I’ve stayed in smaller hotels then this and was treated like royalty. Problems: 1) the lighting in the rooms (40 watts) bulbs, 2) Lobby doesn’t open til 6am, what hotel doesn’t provide coffee thru out the night in the lobby for there guest? I’ll answer that Baymont in Rome GA. 3) outside lighting is horrible in parking lot. I will make sure the company I work for will NEVER and I mean NEVER BOOK ROOMS WITH BAYMONT AGAIN!! My company is here working at a plant here in Rome, GA but we have to stop at a convenience store to get coffee, cause the hotel doesn’t provide coffee for its guest cause they are cutting cost!! We rather drive 25 miles to stay at another hotel then to stay here!! RIDICULOUS AND IM VERY DISPLEASED!! If you have working men in your hotel and has to be at work at 6am n they need coffee, provide them with coffee to help them start their day.
I am very satisfied with the service that I received my room is clean any issues that I have had has been handled in a timely manner Miss Diane has made sure that I did not have to leave and did whatever she could to accommodate me with my room Miss Natasha is a wonderful front desk provider as well as respected as she goes above and out of her way to make sure she accommodates the guess and everyday that you see her she greets you with a smile respect and she asked you how your day or rather she can be of any assistance they actually make you feel as if your family here regardless of color creed
By far the worst experience ever first of all I was charged $100 for supposably smoking in the room in which never occurred and then was told that they had to close the room off for five days because of the smoke smell which was not true because Ill actually left my sweater there and came back to pick it up and the room was actually rented out beware of this hotel is got poor management and they will overcharge you for whatever they feel is necessary and not even tell you.

2022-03-19Where do I start this place is so awful and INFESTED WITH ROACHES. Let just say false advertisment at its best it doesnt look anything like the pictures. The rooms smell awful. The housekeepers need to quit because my children can do a better job cleaning this place. My room was filthy, the floor wasnt vacuumed, everything was dusty and dirty the bathroom looked as if housekeeping never touch it. The floor wasnt swept or mopped, the toilet was covered in urine, I found a dirt ring along with pubic hairs in the tub. The bathroom was full of mold. If there was a way to show you guys pictures I would share them so youll know Im not lying. Dont book a room there.

2022-03-22The smoke detector is tucked away in a drawer and where it should be on the wall there’s just wires hanging out. There’s stains on the bedding and burn holes on the floor and the chair. There’s paint peeling and stains on the walls. The inside of the microwave is caked in gunk and one of the dials is missing. And by missing, I mean someone shoved it behind the mini fridge. How do I know this? I found it while looking for the cockroach that made an appearance only to disappear into thin air. The more I look around the room, the worse it gets. I definitely won’t be sleeping tonight. The staff is friendly, but that’s about the best thing about this hotel. Oh, and the pool looks like a tub full of phlegm water.

2022-05-22The worst hotel in 3 years of my travel. Filthy DIRTY. stained sticky carpet, dirty moldy bathroom, the stinch of smoke was terrible although hotel claims its smoke free. I was getting a contact high from other rooms where pot and cigarette smoke was coming from under doors and hallways. My room smelled terrible. Hallways and corridors had broken down furniture all through out the hallways (safety hazard). Dust/dirt everywhere looked like carpets/floors havent been cleaned in years. Housekeeping kept trying to get into my room even after I notified front desk about this, definitely did not feel safe here, homeless people on property at night, people sleeping in the cars at night, it was just terrible experience for me. Advised company to never use this hotel again.

2021-11-10Desk ladies were great but that was all. Rooms need a lot of work. Toilets broken in our first 2 rooms then in the third room water from an upstairs bath poured through our ceiling. It was a horrible experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

2021-09-14Staff were more than accommodating but the entire hotel needs new carpet and beds and some cosmetic fixes. The room price was too high for the condition of the hotel. We looked at 3 rooms before we found one the we could stay in. There was a foul smell on the first floor.

2021-07-24This hotel was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. Our room had so many stains on the floors and walls. The tables were not wiped down. There was food and trash that was not ours left under the beds. There were bugs in the shower. We were told upon checkout the following morning that we would be receiving a refund for the remainder of our stay but after calling my credit card company the next day they refused to offer a refund. Completely horrible. I have photos and plan to file complaints with authorities as well.

2021-10-03DIRTY AND UNSAFEThe filthiest hotel I have ever stayed at. Smoke detectors were either removed or covered in each of the rooms we and family stayed in. Holes in the walls, disgusting floor, stained walls and the whole hotel smelled strongly of cigarette and marijuana smoke. All of our keys stopped working and they reprogrammed them without verifying we were who we said we were. Locks were missing on doors and overall seemed very sketchy. Would have stayed elsewhere if that was an option.

2021-06-13It smelled like smoke when we first walked in. It took a little while to get checked in. I do not like having to go through so many doors to get to our rooms. 3 just to get to the elevators. It is too much with luggage. Our first room had a fridge that did not work, a chair that broke when I sat in it, and the bathroom lock didnt work. We asked for another room. The next room was not cleaned yet. We got a third room. Nothing was wrong with that one. Although, the chair in this room was broken, too. The fridge also froze our drinks.
