I would give 5 stars because its so fun to shop in a real store❤.BUT, what is it with price tags? The prices are great! But you often have to ask what the price is. A few scanners placed around for the use of shoppers would be one solution. I will shop there again, they are well stocked with tasteful merchandise.
4 associates to check out I was told. One in cosmetics that was not visible after I was sent through there to a line with 7 people waiting to check out. The girl checking told me there was someone in cosmetics and shoes. I walked to the other side of cosmetics still unable to see anyone and was headed to shoes when the person from cosmetics appeared and took me to her register. There needs to be a flag or a flashing light to let us know which register to go to for assistance. I know associates have other responsibilities. There is no place for us handicapped folks who run out of energy easily to sit. I walked all the way around the store. I was exhausted. I am also aware it can be challenging to find help to staff up if there is a desire to do so. I find it easier to shop online due to my limitations. It would be nice if the store could come up with a way to notify is of designated registers that are staffed any given day. Provide seats so we can continue healing and strengthening but keep me from falling in the floor because there is no place to rest .
Was trying to check out and the sales associate Mahalia Miller just previously check out another customer, and asked me if I wanted to check out I said yes and put my items on the counter. She left them behind the counter and started directing me to go to somewhere else to check out after I had waited in line. She stated that she was not supposed to be over there on that register. But she allowed me to wait in line and then not check me out and was just logged in checking out the lady in front of me. She directed me to a gentleman with people in line and I had to wait again. Terrible!
I had purchased a pair of boots during a great sale this week. They had only one pair in my size. When I opened my bag the next day, I noticed my boots were not in the bag. My receipt showed that I paid for them. I tried calling the store but I kept getting an automated answering service. I went to the store to where I checked out and the boots were not left there. I was told to check returns and the boots were not there either. Employee s at both check- outs showed very little interest. Jennifer on the other hand, walked in, started her shift, kindly listened to my dilemma; and she went and checked another area in the store and found my boots. Jennifer deserves five stars plus , but Belk needs to have more than one person doing returns causing several people to wait in line at long lengths of time. I do realize that people are under pressure during this time but show kindness to your customers. Stores are closing: find ways to keep your customers coming back. Kudos Jennifer for showing courtesy and great customer service.
The ladies who work here are so rude! We were there around closing time and ten minutes before they were supposed to close, an older lady came around and yelled at us that they were closing and we needed to go. We finished trying on and went to check out and the lady who rang us up was short with us and barely said two words even when we said Have a good night. Then the manager comes to lock the door behind us while she says to the lady who rang us up, There are two more people here but since theyre not coming, go ahead and close up, they can make their purchases tomorrow, cause they got to go. No wonder people in town dont come here!
Great sales but lacking in customer service. There never seems to be an employee at any number of their registers. You have to walk around the store in search of an employee and ask for someone to help you. Even then, sometimes they dont return. This review sums up a number of visits. We like Belk in general but this location leaves much to be desired. Belks wealth of coupons are the only thing that keep me coming back.
Im sorry to say the store was looking a little sad in spots. Partly due to supply chain Im sure and also the bankruptcy restructure. Still, they have more in stock here than the Fayetteville store. Yes, it is much larger, but therefore harder to fill. Cashier was friendly and helpful.
I like Belk.The Newnan Store is a nice store.The majority of employees are nice.Heather in fragrance is extremely knowledgeable and an amazing sales person. She always goes the extra mile and can back up her suggestions with real information.She is a treasure for folks the truly love fragrance.Ambiance is important to me in selecting a scent.With the many changes to our world we have lost a great deal of savoring in aroma and otherwise.Anybody can sell when a person is there for the free gifts.If you are looking to up your game with style and relevance, go see Heather.Be advised, some items might need to be ordered.We are in a new normal and retail is adjusting too.I was a bit disappointed that in the clothing area , sales help was not to be found?On my way out I spoke to an associate who looked at me like I was Methusala!My comment to her about lack of help may have perturbed her at the end of the day.She was still gracious and thats hard to do after hours on those hard floors.In closing , this comment is just observation.Kudos to Belk for still trying to meet our needs.It would be a good thing to try and shop there on occasion if you are an Amazon junkie.People in our community need their jobs and its good to get out and get off the key board.We may not always have these options but think- ing of our communities struggles..For me , its an honor to give back.Peace be with you.
One of the largest Belks that I have been in and great sales. This store is located in Ashley Park shopping. There is assorted stores of every need and its really a nice spacious area. Hotels are very close so you can stay within the mall area. Stores are outside, so check the weather for rain.
Called the store for curbside pickup customer service, and saleswoman Pat answered to help me. Although I only spoke with her briefly, she was so incredibly kind and enthusiastically helpful that I had to write a review on how amazing she was. I was so impressed during that 30sec phone call that I called back to ask her name to write this review. She made my day!
This is an excellent southern retail store. There is plenty of free and handicap accessible parking. The store is very clean and well organized. The employees are friendly and helpful. The store carries alot of name brand designs. I had a great shopping experience in Bells.
I have used curbside pickup 3 times. The first time was not a pleasant experience. The second time was great. This last one turned into a fiasco. An item was missing. Trying to contact someone to verify that it has been found has been impossible.Update: I went to Belks and they had the missing item at the in-store pickup location.
Good costumer service, several times help me to find products I found online but bought at the store. I bought products for work and personal, in my experience and each department has being great. The fitting room is always clean.. I dont shop weekends or busy hours.. Maybe thats why I have an excellent experience.
This store was clean but the staff was no help. It seemed like they were really under staffed for a holiday weekend. I was there to buy a dress shirt and a very nice young man came over from shoes and was VERY helpful. Im pretty sure his name was Eli. He was a young, black male that was joking about being short. I hope thats his name because he was awesome and the only person that even acknowledge my wife and I. I ended up buying 3 shirts btw.
The store is easy to get to from multiple directions. I can honestly say that the clearamce sales are the best thing this store has to offer...as long as you dont mind searching the racks. It is nice and bright so if you are trying to match colors you have a better chance at doing so. Be forewarned, if you are in any type of wheelchair, motorized scooter, or even on crutches it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to navigate the sales floor. Even pushing one of their small carts around is a nightmare because of how close all of the racks are! The main aisles also have multiple displays in them. Customer service was pretty good.
Hard to find a cashier, but if you can catch them during a clearance sale, you can get stuff for real cheap. Ive notice that they will blame things on corporate if they are too lazy to help. Managers at this store are big on this. No customer service help at all. Wont even attempt to look at anything.
I love Belk. We did not have Belk on the west coast but its very similar to a Macys. But Belk has much better sales than anybody. They also have the best coupons and discounts I have ever found. Not to mention the best curvy/plus section I have ever been to anywhere. The store can be quite busy and there can be close quite a few places but the ladies that work there do their best to keep everything as neat as possible and thats appreciated.
Great day at Belk!!!!! Clearance had a lot on sale this weekend. Plus 10-20% off the items we bought. We bought $770 worth of shoes and clothes. Are you ready for the real price, we saved $639!!!!! So with that said all those shoes and clothes cost around $133. Thanks Belk for such great sales!!!!
A very nice experience with Ashley-- a pleasant, polite, and helpful Belk Associate in the the Cosmetics department. I always appreciate and try to respond in kind to positive greetings and feedback from others. I was actually in the store accompanying my family while they shopped for back to school. But, with her offer of assistance, I happily decided to consider purchasing my favorite Clinique fragrance. The Belk price was very competitive when compared with the largest online retailer... and as always Human to Human interactions build relationships with people and stores while encouraging spending.
High selection of stuff including nice brands like Polo Ralph Lauren. It had been a while since I’d been in here and I was looking for specific type of shirt but I could not find anyone to help me. I tried to act like I was stealing because that usually works 😂 but to no avail. Finally found the shirts then somebody came and asked me if I was finding everything all right.
Shop here often. Came today with my mother, grandmother, and sister. We spend a total of over $600. The woman at one of the cash registers, Lynda, was beyond rude. No customer service at all. She complained about us checking out in that section, although the store was packed and there were lines at every register. My grandmother pulled out her coupons she received in the mail and Lynda said that the coupons will not work on her items. My grandmother politely asked if she would scan the two of them just to make sure. After huffing about it, Lynda scanned the coupons and rudely told my grandmother that She told her they wouldnt work. My grandmother paid and then my mother checked out. The horrible customer service continued. Then it was my turn. I had a coupon Belk emailed me and held it up for her to scan. She raised her voice to me and told me I was wasting her time by scanning this coupon because it wont work. I told her that I was sorry she felt that I was wasting her time, but find it odd that I received an email with coupons telling me to come in and use them, but when I do they dont work. She then continued to rant to me about how people are stupid and dont understand that the coupons will not ever work and yet they make her scan them anyways just to be sure. I am not one to complain, and I myself work in customer service. I understand people have bad days, but that is no excuse to speak to someone, especially customers, in such a manner. It was very discerning and disappointing to be treated in such a rude manner after all we did was shop and purchase their merchandise. Will definitely reconsider shopping here from here on out.
I am typically not the one to leave reviews but after the way I was treated at MAC cosmetics for the fourth time, “THIS IS ENOUGH”. I wondered around for minutes without any acknowledgment & then once I was greeted it seem as if she didn’t want to assist me. Whatever happen to DEVEN!!!! he made you feel empower, & confident, I receive more help from him in one day then I did from these ladies within the last few months. I assure you this is my last time shopping here.
A women;s and mens clothing store, actually you can find something for everyone in the family. It reminds me of what JC Penney use to look like prior to them going through a change a few years ago and then having to reverse that decision.We were able to find our daughter a dress so that she could attend her Junior ROTC Ball. She looked so very lovely and I am so thankful to God for blessing us to find her dress plus some additional accessories on sale and we had the best customer service.
Horrible service. Im sure not all the time, but my experience was bad. I waited at the counter to checkout, and 3 associates were just talking and never came over. I went to get them, but she turned and saw me so I stayed, assuming she would be on the way. Not one of them ever came over. I couldnt believe they would just let money walk out of the doors like that.
Normally I like Belk but today needed assistance in the mens shoe department. After I finally found someone they really werent that familiar with the shoe department and assisting with sizing. She brought out one pair...as we were discussing, she said, Ill be in the suits if you decide youd like to buy those. We almost left. What if we wanted to try on a different pair? Or a different size? My nephew did decide to keep those but we couldnt find the box... Not the best customer service...
What in the WORLD did you do to my favorite store? You cut out my size, my only choice for pants is skinny leg-jeans and the rest of the garbage looks like 1970s polyester. Shapeless, loud colors, inferior quality. WOW in a matter of 4 months, it has completely changed from competitive , timeless fashion to an over-priced Kmart wanna-be! I guess itll be Talbots for me. (Im a size 0 petite) FYI, my rating went from 5 stars to one in less than 4 months!
Horrible communication. I placed an order on April 02, 2018 for a suit which my son needed for my wedding. I paid for my order in store and received a receipt which clearly had my email address on it. After 10 days and no delivery or email for the status of my order, I called. The guy who answered sounded like I had just woke him up and then after giving him my information, he proceeds to tell me that they screwed my order up and that it had been cancelled. SERIOUSLY???? Now I am extremely upset and freaking out about the fact that my son now has no suit for my wedding. I would highly recommend doing business with anyone other than Belk as they could care less about their customers needs OR even simply calling them to let them know, their expected delivery will not be arriving due to an error on their part.
The young lady is rude her name is Ayana(I think) hair shave on sides with braid or twist on top. The other lady Edna apologize for her coworker behavior! Thank you! I talked with the manager Sathario Lemon and explained what happened; he apologized also and took care of my sale! So thank you! Customer service is everything young lady....thats how jobs are created!
Very poor customer service. On March 16th 2018, I stopped at the Belks in Newnan to have repair done on watch and, to purchase a new watch. No one was working in the jewelry dept. I asked an employee for assistance and she advised that the person working that dept., would be right back. I waited about 10 minutes and the lady noticed no one still had not helped me, so she came back and advised the employee was on lunch break. Someone else was in route to assist me. I waited until I could not take it anymore. I felt like my business was not good enough so I left. This was bad.
There is no handicap doors on the side entrance where Ashley Park is. Yet, they have handicap parking spots but all the doors at the entrance are ones you have to hand open which can be extremely difficult if you have someone who is disabled with a wheelchair etc. and there’s two sets that you have to go through. Highly disappointed with that.
Horrible store - poor selection and unresponsive management. Employees look miserable working there and when you ask the managers for assistance, they are not helpful. One can only imagine how unprofessional they are with their staff if they are so rude with their customers. Go to Dillards or anywhere else.
I worked here and this store is actually the worst belk I have ever worked at the managers are very rude and think they are above everyone I quit this job because one of the managers told my personal business to other associates . Please do not spend your money in this store they only see yoi customers as numbers .

2022-03-21Very helpful today. Only one thing, looked at my receipt when I got home and I bought my grandson two bow ties. On each it said $16.00. I didnt notice but they each scanned 18.00. I had 50 percent off coupon but still actually paid 9 each instead of 8. I live about 20 miles from the store so Im not driving back. Its not a huge deal but a little frustrating. However the clerks were awesome!

2020-12-01Went in to buy something very specific. Found my item after searching through the mess! It was a mess everywhere. Shoes boxes open, missing shoes, purse cabinet open with purses on floor and alarm going off. Not a employee im sight. Had a good sale going on. Good thing for the app. Went to check out and the only employee I came across was rude and disrespect. All I asked was how well the app worked and she had to get an attitude. No need, just say Im unsure. She also didnt have her ask mask on properly. Probably wont go back.

2022-06-11This is the sadest Belk store I have ever shopped in. You have to walk all over store to find a dressing room. Only one service center open. Yound man saw how backed up the line was at the service center and walked away and said call me if you need me. No place to sit in shoe department to try on shoes. Only chair outside dressing area was stack up with blue Jean shorts. My wife had to interrupt the person displaying shoes to get some helpPITIFUL.

2022-05-28My mother was shopping here and was by herself and was checking out before they were closed and she was told she had to walk out the front door and around the shielding to her car in the dark bc they already locked up the door by her car bc they have to protect themselves, needless to say they don’t care about there customers.. so disrespectful and will never shop here. This is uncalled for.

2022-04-09I usually like shopping at Belk but its very frustrating when you shop for an hour and have a cart full of things to try on and they only let you take in 6 items. I can be okay with that -until I go out of the dressing room to get additional items to try on and the attendent has given my cart full of clothes to some one to put back while I was in there. 😓

2021-12-28Favorite store in the area!!!The clothes selection is very good!The store is organized.What I like the most is the coupons ! Not complicated and apply to every item!!I would say better quality clothes than JCPENNEY and Kohl’s!!!

2022-03-06Staff is very helpful,BUT how do you operate a large clothing store with only 1 dressing room?? You dont require masks etc for COVID restrictions so thats not the reason. And you have staff almost every 10 foot so its not short of staff. According to on site management this is a corporate decision. You need to reevaluate this corporate

2022-07-01Dont go there if you are clothes shopping. The fitting rooms are usually closed and they tell you to just bring stuff back. Who wants to do that?!
