Tried this place after receiving a recommendation from some Military friends. 1.) Immediate, expert, and outstanding service as soon as we walked into store. 2.) Prices for top line shoes were awesome. 3.) They look at your gait and provide recommendations on different shoes based in how you walk. For all the military folks out there looking to get inserts for your boots, being your boots in and you can get custom fitted. My husband said his feet have never felt better! Highly recommend this store!

The gentleman who greeted us at the door was very professional but attentive to our needs. He found just the right shoe for me after asking me the right questions. He fitted my husband with great shoes, paying attention to my husband’s needing help with speciality laces because of his Parkinson’s. Great listener. Years of experience. Not pushy. I wouldn’t have gone in the shop had he and his co-worker not had their masks on and had them on right. I respect that they follow the mandates requiring masks. I am very careful about possible COVID exposure. I felt very comfortable in this shop. They have won my loyalty.

Went to this place as a second option because it was 15 min further but I shouldve made it my first. No pressure in buying shoes and felt like I was at home!! They have more variety and more sizes than the other shops in downtown Columbus. They also offer Military Discount. The owner and some of his kids served this Country, and I guess thats how he was able to spot m as a Veteran immediately. Highly recommend!!!

Owner was confused and forgetful regarding products previously sold to me. At initial purchase he stated that information will be in the system ehen purchasing again. At first he blamed another employee, but prior to completing my purchase he admitted that he had sold me the shoes previously purchase from his store. Wow!

This shoe store is incredible in their knowledge and customer service. I have purchased 5 pairs of shoes over the past few years and I had a problem with a shoe rubbing a callous on the side of my foot. We tried new inserts (no charge) and when that did Not resolved the issue I was given full credit on shoes that were several months old. A customer for life!

Horrible. Was kicked out of the store because I didn’t wear a mask even thought I explained to the manager (Mike) I can not wear a mask due to health issues. I explained to the manager that I am a veteran and this violates my constitutional right that I fought for in desert storm and the Somalia conflict. Was forced to stand outside until my family was done shopping. Very disappointed in this establishment. DO NOT GO THERE.

I was looking for shoes For 3 weeks. Tried multiple places, multiple shoes. No one seemed to know what they were talking about. The staff was great the shoes not so much. I bought a pair of HOKAoneone and they were great for a couple of weeks. I was told they would last a long time. I bought them in February 2018 and they lasted til about the end of April. There is a hole on top of one shoe and the soles are coming apart. That was a lot of money to throw away for a promise to relive my planters fasciitis . I am so disappointed .

I have never been to a shoe store where the staff went to such lengths to get me in the right pair of shoes. Mike put me on the treadmill to analyze my running gait and even sent me the video so that I can review and improve my form. I ended up getting the Saucony Guide 6. Ill definitely be getting all my future running shoes from Below the Knee.

2022-07-16I visited Below the Knee for the first time Friday. Kay helped me figure out the best shoe for my feet and the running event that I am training for. She asked thoughtful questions about my current training program and pain/discomfort I was feeling. The Hoka shoes I asked about when I came in turned out not to be the best choice for my training. She gave me better options within the same brand and was patient with me while I decided. I am very impressed with their store and the fit and performance of the shoes so far.

2022-07-09We came not really knowing what direction to take and they were so helpful. had us in and out in five minutes, and knew immediately sizes, solutions, etc just by looking at my husband! very efficient and this store is a great tool to have near by if you live in the Columbus area.

2022-09-09I was in earlier this week and was very impressed with every aspect. The customer service was amazing. The gentleman who assisted me was extremely knowledgeable and helped me pick out the perfect pair of shoes for my needs (plantar fasciitis). This was confirmed even further when my podiatrist agreed with the selection, as they were on the list of podiatrist recommended shoes for walking. I purchased the Hoka Gaviota 4. I will definitely be a return customer.

2022-06-09Excellent service! As a physical therapist, Im on my feet all day and know the importance of footwear. Kay and I had an entertaining conversation about foot types and different footwears goals. While they (and everyone else) couldnt get fresh ASICS, I was hooked up with some equivalent or better Brooks. With a generous return policy, Ill be frequenting BTK for future shoe purchases!

2022-09-04I was told 30 day money back guarantee on my purchase. I took my oofos back because the coating was peeling and the flip flop was torn after 2 1/2 weeks. I was told that was not correct and I need to go to their website. I was not happy.

2022-03-13Went for the first time on Saturday and was blown away by the customer service!! I can’t remember the name of the lady that helped us but she was absolutely amazing!!! She truly loves helping people!! She helped my husband and I figured out all the pain we were feeling with our feet! Definitely recommend this place to everyone!! And they offer military discount! So excited to finally having some relief on our feet!

2022-05-01Always very helpful. The staff are experienced and can evaluate you to help choose the right shoe. When I showed my podiatrist what they recommended for me, he was impressed with what they sold me. They have great inserts too, especially if you have high arches.

2018-10-25Its a wonderful place to shop for shoes that are for running🏃 or 🚶 walking. The prices may be a little high but well worth it. The service is wonderful and they will order if the shoes arnt there. Its takes about a week for the order to come in.
