Bench Warmers Sports Grill in other cities:
The place was cute. Not crowded staff were very nice. They had a million TVs lol which is great. I love the diversity of the crowds that were all there. I got The Hangover Burger and some hot wings.. Mannnnnn I tore that burger up. I couldnt finish my wings. But trust me Ill be back. Oh yes my margarita was bomb. Shout out to my fellow bartender. We bartenders make everything better. ❤❤
Not a fancy interior but great bar food and lots of TVs! Super friendly staff and a great beer selection.I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with Mac & Cheese. It was so delicious! The wings are also great. Tried the lemon pepper...well cooked, not too much batter, crispy and plump!Lots of parking.
I have never eaten here before but when I saw it on DoorDash, I thought I’d give it a try. Ordered the “Hamburger Steak Entree” with Cajun tater tots and side salad. The order arrived quickly, complete & correct, and packaged well for delivery. The Hamburger Steak was cooked to something between medium rare and medium and was moist and delicious. The gravy was a beef based gravy with mushrooms and onions. The Cajun tater tots were normal tater tots with salt and a dipping sauce that was kind of like an old fashioned tangy “cocktail sauce” with a subtle bite to it. They went surprisingly well together. The salad (lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber & mild shredded cheddar cheese) was a tasty cool compliment to the steak and tots. The veggies were nice and crispy and the 1000 island dressing was tasty too.Overall I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the meal was and would not hesitate to order from here again.
I love benchwarmers! Ive been here many times, and eaten nearly everything on the menu, and I still love to come all the time! Its great in the evening for dinner, and equally awesome to come get a drink late night! My girlfriend and I come often to eat, drink, play pool, and darts! My go to dish is the wings. They are so crispy, and the reaper sauce is so hot without being too aggressive. Its the perfect sauce! Hot on the nose but then backs off and leaves a tangy after taste. My girlfriend this time got the hamburger steak and it was just what she wanted! Perfect medium, great mashed potatoes, and really good gravy and sauce. One of my favorite spots!
Just the classic sports bar. A lot of TV’s, games to play, decent beer menu, decent selection of bar food... nothing special on its decoration. The staff is friendly and quick. The low rating is because their silverware was not well cleaned and my beer glass had some lipstick residue.
Came in alone and sat at a table in the middle of the floor. Noticed most tables were dirty with drink rings. Waitress passed me no less than 6 times over a 10 minute period and never even acknowledged me so I got up and left. Place was not that busy! You at least say, would you like a menu?
One of the few real dive sports bars in Atlanta. Dark, dingy, good American bar food, fun and attentive staff, too many tvs. The place brings in a diverse set of fans who seems to be there for a loud, rowdy and good time.Places like this are harder to find than they should be in a city of 7 million people. Top-notch sports bar. Don’t tell your friends we don’t need this one TOO crowded for the big games.
The servers can sometimes be rude and/or very inattentive (slow). The food is pretty good for bar food. I did like that they do feature different chefs & their dishes periodically. Last visit, I took some Jamaican food home to-go after dealing with a bad waitress inside.
Pros: Lots of space, lots of TVs, the beer I got was cold, and the fried pickles were solid enough.Cons: A single beer and fried pickles was all I could get in 2 and half hours there. Took about 45 minutes to get that. Most of the time it looked like there was 1 server for about 4 dozen people in the section. A couple of the regulars must know the trick to getting served, as they were already clearly overserved by 8PM. The overall appearance of the place is below average for a dive bar and the mens room toilet was broken. After I paid my check and headed for the exit...I got to follow a member of the kitchen staff as he wheeled a large, full garbage can right through the establishment and out the front door. There are better dive bars in the area. Save this one for a last resort.
I recently had an incredible lunch delivered to my office in Buckhead. It was a gift from a very precious patient who wanted to do something nice for my staff. It was delivered by Ike and was not only beautiful, but delicious! I have always enjoyed their food, but am now glad to know that I can have it anytime!
My family and I went yesterday to watch the BU game and our waitress was outstanding , great service bubbly personality and she spoke Spanish ! For the first time going there I did not have to translate for my mom. She constantly checked on us and would even clean tables around us that weren’t hers! Her name was With a K but I don’t exactly remember it I do remember she had a Puerto Rican flag. Will definitely be back
My server was the only one who mentioned anything about Veterans Day, she even wrote thank you for your service on the ticket with some little candy pieces . Just something so simple has me as a returnee whenever I’m in the Atlanta area. She was probably one of the best servers I’ve had . My last experience wasn’t great here but when I went on the 11, my perspective has changed . Thank you Kenzie for the experience I will keep this , ❤️
The sports atmosphere is phenomenal and makes up for the poor waiting staff as well as the overpriced and tasteless, unseasoned food.In essence, the food was not good. How does a kitchen screw up tater tots?!!!.. The kitchen closed 4 plus times during my visit as they were overwhelmed with orders, which is a problem many other, better restaurants would love to have. Also, our waitress was very profane in her description of the kitchen and management staff- Wow!! Unprofessional at its best.. Please eat prior to arriving to watch the games of your choice and your will.most definitely have a good time.. As for the decor, a severe overhaul is needed as the place was a bit outdated and worn. Lastly, I cant speak on the drinks as I was blown off by the waitress on multiple occasions trying to order- so, I settled for the complimentary water.
Bagged salad, mushy croutons, and vinegar thats so old it lost its flavor. Tea was good, but the cowboy empanadas were mushy and weird. On par with an old gas station, to be honest. The music is so loud that the 12 people in here had to yell across the tables at each other. Finally, the high-top table Im sitting at has at least 2 of rock to it, if not more. Fix it, people - it wont cost that much. In summary, I already had Google maps out looking for a different spot for my next meal before finishing my meal here. Service (Victoria) was really the only decent thing here...
Had the fish and chips. Zero flavor completely bland didnt even taste like fish. Just no flavor at all. I heard they have good food. Ill get something different next time. I shouldnt have gotten fish at a bar i guess.updateI did give it another chance and ordered a different dish, it was like mac and some spicy chicken and that was very good
Ive been three times and I will always go back to Kenzie. If you go ask for her! She jokes around talks to us and actually takes the time to get to know us rather than just “ serving”. She always suggest the best food the prices are affordable plus the always have specials daily .
Horrible service. First they took 1hr to bring our food our waitress was ignoring us completely just sitting talking with some customers so another guy started serving us instead. We had to stand up to ask for service. Honestly worse place Ive ever been to. If you just want to get drunk its fine but if you want a nice dinner forget about it
I recently ordered from Bench warmers as they were the only place open and had a really good burger. Not this time. Went to pu and was handed a bag with half my order. Then the guy tries to tell me I only ordered 1 burger not two until he scrolls down to see the rest. I sit there with half my order getting cold for 30 minutes while they cook the other part of my order. The guy didnt once apologize or even offer a glass of water while I waited for them to fix their mistake. If they were busy thats one thing but it was dead. Wont be going back there again. Too many other burger places in town that are much better.
Some of the greatest bartenders and servers here know , management on the other hand will always keep people away .Very rude , disrespectful and unprofessional . They can do whatever they please including fighting in the restaurants and take all anger out on customers
The best I can do is 2 stars. I walked in and sat down at the row of tables in front of the bar. Nobody came over and waited on me. Ok fine. I went to the bar and sat down and ordered a beer. I asked for a menu and for the longest time the bartender never came and took my order. To go orders were being picked up and new people were entering the bar and being waited on, while I waited for someone to take my order. I finally shad enough paid for beer told the bartender I was ignored nobody cared and I left. Deplorable service and wont be back.
The food is always good. A shame the pandemic has caused the menu to be cut. Still have quality food and huge beer selection. I go there to play poker(weekly games) a couple times a month. Not sure how you feel about wearing masks during this crazy time...but it seems the last time I was there it was optional to wearing one. There is social distancing with the seating and still has a decent crowd of regulars....hopefully the pandemic will end soon and they can expand their menu back to what it was!
Great spot for a drink, bar food and to watch the game with good friends. This bar attracts an older crowd, 45+. They have a full bar with a list of beers and some wines too. I ordered the Hangover Burger with Cajun waffle fries. It tasted good. The lemonade is a big glass and was a great compliment to the Burger. Plenty of seating inside. Booths can fit two and they have high tables with high seating for 4. They have a small outside area for smoking. The place seems like a relaxing environment with many regulars.
Late selection of appetizers and other bar food. We had the fried pickles, which we completely polished off. Beer selection was decent, service was good, and the establishment is lager than it appears from the outside. There are pool tables in the adjoining side. Overall, great for a late night experience.
Great food at reasonable prices. Good atmosphere with loads of TVs. Came here for trivia on a Tuesday and it was not very crowded but lively.Service was a bit slow though the waitress was very nice.Edit: Came back for a second time and service was even slower. 30 min + to get an appetizer. Originally rated 5 stars, changed to 3 for truly glacial service.
Perfect location and surprisingly delicious food. This bar is within walking distance of our apartment, just feet away from exit 91 on I-85, and Im sad to say this was my first time visiting. I should have come much sooner. Awesome variety of patrons from the typical sports bar crowd to avid poker players, old and young locals, and several couples could be seen socializing and just enjoying the space. The service staff were all very sweet and accommodating. While playing pool, our waitress was there when we wanted her but didnt pressure us when we were simply playing and didnt want to be bothered. The food not only saved us from what would have been a terrible hangover, it was mouthwatering! Now when I want food but dont want to have to sit in a restaurant, Ill definitely visit for a drink and some delicious food to go.
I came here to meet up with some friends one night. They had all the games on, on alllll their TVs so that was nice. Drinks are cheap. I didnt get their food but I tried some fries and they were salty oh my. Service was decent cant complain. They automatically added 20% gratuity which was a bummer.
I hesitate to rate this place as it is my hidden gem in the neighborhood. Is it a dive bar, yes. But the burgers and wings are fantastic. The beer is cold. It is deceptively large with a backroom full of pool tables and other bar games. Any sport you want to watch, this is the place
I really enjoyed this spot. There were about 25 screens showing the game. Two of them were huge projection type screens. We had a pitcher of beer that we got about 6 glasses from. The fried pickles and burger were tasty. The service was ok. It wasnt horrible but certainly nothing to rave about. I would go again.
This place is very close to my job so I always order takeout for lunch. Everything Ive had so far is delicious! I dont know about the bar experience itself, only had takeout lunch. One of the waitresses is here is super nice, she always recognize me, unfortunately I dont know her name, she is a brunette, lol!
Only been one time for the Alabama vs Oklahoma game. It was Very crowded, which was expected, but nonetheless, good food, good choice of beer. I had wings and fries. Nothing special. I would describe this as a neighborhood bar, a lot of people who live near here come here on a daily basis. Good place to watch a game, countless tvs everywhere, as well as a couple pool tables in the back. Overall a good place if its your vibe.
I stopped by on my way home from work so hardly during their busy time. Rebecca was my server and she was AWESOME! We passed each other as I was walking in and from the beginning she was friendly and kind! I only rated them 4 stars because the wings were expensive in my opinion. Even bar food should be good at that price.
Visiting from out of town. Found this sports bar nearish to our hotel thought we would check this out for dinner. We arrived at 6PM. The waitress promptly attended to us and got us our drink orders in a timely fashion. We then spent 30 minutes before we ever saw her again to take our food order (mind you it WASN’T busy). Half of the menu was not available as they were out of the item. We finally found items to order and it took another 45 minutes before we even got the food. Asked for beer refills when we got the food, and we never got another round of drinks. The food was okay, not great, not bad. It was edible. One waitress minding to about 6 booths full of guests and about 3 bartenders who never left their posts at the bar. The service was terrible as this poor girl was trying to do everything herself. When it came time to pay the bill she messed up splitting everything and then never came back. We had to go walk around the restaurant to go find her to have her fix the checks before we paid. Also the music was super loud and obnoxious like 70s dance music. Not something I think would/should be playing in a sports bar. I won’t recommend.
Food isn’t bad, it’s just not great. It’s either benchwarmers or Burger King tbh. I’ve been there 6 or 7 times since moving in down the street and the service isn’t that great. I understand catering to lifetime value customers but it seems like new customers are ignored. Missing an opportunity there. Also playing rap music when 50-60 year old customers are at the bar is probably not a great way to keep them around. I’m 25 and prefer low key bars but if you want an Applebee’s that plays Rick Ross this is it lol
Came on a Friday night for NBA finals, it was busy and a good fun atmosphere. Myself and a fried both ordered wings and thought they were just ok. Upon leaving a couple cars had been broken into in the parking lot including one of the people we were with. Not the restaurants fault but be aware.
I love this place. Besides the one blond waitress(Ashley ?) that’s always drinking on the job it’s a great place to hang out. The blond waitress is rude, more than not drunk, slow, and refuses to serve certain ppl bc she’s racist. Surprised she still has a job. All the other wait and bar staff are great. Plus there’s poker!
Usually their food is great but on Friday, I bought some fried pickles because I had really been craving some fried pickles from here. Omg, they were so salty. I tried eating them because they’re about $7/$8 and I did not have time to go back to get it corrected but I could not eat them. My heart started palpitating so after that I had to trash them. Complete waste of money 🤦🏾♀️
Ok so this is a local place. Just a pub with pub food. But its got a patio. And pool tables, etc. The menu is decent. And its obvious the folks who live nearby love it. Neighborhood joint. Its close to my work and my besties work so we frequent it. Always have a good time. So, Id say not worth a visit if youre a tourist but if youre new in town and settle nearby you should check it out.
I visited BW with a co-worker who is a regular. I am still disappointed that I spent $15+ for BBQ chicken with broccoli, red beans and rice. The chicken was beyond dry. No amount of sauce could have made it better. I took it with me but ended up throwing it away. The waitress was super nice to my coworker, I still left a tip.
Customer service was terrible. I felt like it had more to do with my skin color than the fact that I was a customer. My date and I sat at the bar for about 30 mins. The bar tender never looked at us. Saw everyone else including the guy beside me. She had shots with the people to my left. I felt like it was because we were of color why she never even spoke or gave a menu. The second bar tender said hello after 15 mins and asked had we been helped yet we obviously didn’t because there were no menus. But she only said something when the other bartender was not near. So I ended up leaving and will never return.
Went with a friend. Didnt realize it was close to my old apartment in Brookhaven! It was crowded, so we had to sit at the bar. Lots of tables needed cleaning, but Idk how busy they may have been before I walked in...eh...the bathroom needed some checking, but it happens when youre busy. Found a spot on the patio later. It was ok.
Hey this place is whats happening. The food served is cooked to order. They have premium platter meals i.e. New Orleans style red beans and rice and and andouille sausage to thick, rich and juicy bacon and burger served on a pretzel. I took half my burger home because it is a lot. And lets not forget those toasty waffle potatoes fries which have with salt or the Cajun which I highly recommend! Check out Benchwarmers sports bar. Nice huge TVs all over the place so you never miss a game.
I love the ambience, staff, beer selection, & non-smoking billiards experience, but sometimes the food taste different depending on the Chef on duty, which is really annoying. Overall its a great spot to relax & play a game of pool or darts & watch sports on their large selection of TVs.
Buffalo Chicken Mac...there is nothing else that needs to be said. Get it. Love it. Come back and thank me. Drinks are STRONG and the staff is super friendly. I always ask to water my drink down with more juice (I am a Grey Goose and Cran fan) and my bartender always laughs at me because I am the only one who ever asks for that...
The food is good and its huge inside. There are pool tables and other games. This place is 10x better now that you cant smoke inside anymore. They also always show the ufc fights and sometimes there is a cover for it. TVs and projectors are everywhere so dont worry about getting a bad seat.
I really like BWs. The wings are prob the best in town...Unfortunately, its starting to smell like sewer or something which near the pool table area. Which is my main reason of going here...shoot 🎱. Great CS, Kool staff, love love love the wings...Just not a fan of that smell. I really hope they take care of it...My Friday night hangout spot.
I would come just for the food!!! Delicious club sandwich and the brisket sandwich is amazing as well!!! Our server, Octivia was so sweet, helpful, friendly and attentive. Bench Warmers has a lot of televisions; broadcasting multiple sports, definitely a good place and atmosphere for sports fans. We would definitely go back to watch a game and enjoy a few beers; or just go for a Great meal!
If there is a BIG GAME on TV then this is my go-to bar. When I lived in Atlanta, it was my sleeper pick that not many had heard of but most were talking about after going. The service can be spotty depending on whether you get a new or experienced server but it is never bad.
The servers are rude and unprofessional. If you dont like your job and you cant smile find another job. The blonde server with arm tates is always unhappy, slow, and does not care about the customers wants or needs. The buze and food is good and this is the only reason they get a one star from me.
My partners and I love this neighborhood spot. We have our production meetings for our radio broadcast , 3 In The Paint Radio Show, there every Sunday most weeks.Great food, drinks, staff and lots of screens to view the games!!We love it and will continue to patronize just as long as they don’t change the ranch dressing recipe !! They are horrible if you call in an order!. They give you a not so friendly attitude and they are very short with you. But inside the establishment they have a totally different persona. They should treat call in orders the same way on the phone as they do in person.
They are very unprofessional! When you try to place an order by phone it goes to voicemail. When they answer the phone you do not know who you are speaking to because they do not say their name. You don’t know who to complain to about them hanging up the phone! I am sure the owner is not aware of them making him miss out on money!

2022-04-11With it being only 10 mins away, this place is a hidden gem.. . At least it was for me. From entrance, I was pleased. Nice sports bar setting with TVs everywhere and comfortably spaced out seating. The wait staff was friendly and the food was mostly good. I had a lil conversation with the cook regarding my food selections, and hopefully hell take heed and fix a few things before I return 😘. Theres also a little smoking area in the front, just before you walk in. Youre able to pay a small fee to take control of the music selection and set your own atmosphere. With all of that said, I will definitely return, sooner rather than later.

2022-07-05Clean and pleasant enough for a sports bar. A friend dragged me to trivia night! It was difficult to clearly hear the trivia questions. The Staff and clientele were cordial. Prices looked reasonable, but I dont eat bar food, so, I have no food review about the Bench Warmers menu. I drank Perrier and made the best of situation.

2022-05-19Did this place even clean up during COVID? It was so nasty dirty in there. Ordered fish and chips and asked for vinegar. The bottle came and look like it must have been on the shelf for at least 6 months. It was caked in dust. The fish wasnt cook all the way and my brother ordered a French dip that he said was pretty good. The service was great, which is the reason for two stars. It was close to my hotel and open late however I would not go back.

2022-04-25Absolutely amazing food. The margaritas were perfect and the gorgeous young lady that catered to us was super sweet and am very appreciative of great service always! Thank you so much for the delicious meal and hospitality served well

2021-03-09Ordered food to go after seeing the food reviews. Big mistake and a waste of $30. I asked for the mile high nachos to not have sour cream. They came completely plain. just some chips and cheese... And they tasted awful with barely any cheese... Mile of what??? I say Mile of wasted money. I mean how do you mess up nachos. We were really looking forward to pretzel and beer cheese, but the pretzel was hard and burnt (see photo). The burger looked good, piled high with bacon, but tasted like it had been fried in the same oil they cook the fish in. Good thing Im not actually allergic to shellfish, I just despise the taste of it. For how much I paid for these three items and how inedible most of it was, I cant believe this place ever gets good reviews. Next time Ill drive a little farther to Lucky Burger where the food is always amazing.

2022-06-28The entrance to the bar is poorly placed. The parking lot needs work. The poker at the establishment is mandating their customers to spend money to play. You cant force customers to do anything especially when it comes to gambling. Instead play poker somewhere else where you make the choice to support the venue, because its a venue worth supporting.

2022-04-02Fun little sports bar with a diverse menu. They seem to be known for their burgers which are tasty. A large selection of beer and liquor. Pool tables and videogames are plenty along with a ton of TVs for sports

2021-04-15A lively spot with lots of space and options from TVs, pool, darts, games and even pinball! The inhouse chicken pot pie was fabulous and the drinks were fine with a wide selection beers and spirits.

2022-06-11I’m sorry to have to write this review but the service for poker on Mondays and Thursdays is terrible. Why is ONE girl waiting on 40 people??? You’re rarely checked on and the lady waiting doesn’t like if you get up and have to chase her down to order something. She straight up asked me to go back to my table and to wait to order there. It feels like you are a second class customer to the rest of the restaurant even though you’re spending a lot. It’s crazy. It’s highly frustrating when you have to wait around so long to leave and make sure you spent the required amount at poker.

2020-06-26The food is decent, then again its a bar. I was happy they were open late since our options were limited. We ordered the mile high nachos and the crispy chicken sandwich (pictured below). Both were very good.
