Positive: It was clean and comfortable. If all one wanted was a room, it was OK. Negative: WiFi was unreliable at best. It worked once for a brief period. Pitiful excuse for a breakfast. While the room was surface clean, there were five partially filed containers of Chinese food in the refrigerator.
Positive: Everyone was very friendly, from the ladies behind the desk, to the cleaning staff. The room was clean and smelled good. The bathtub had an anti-slip mat, really important for us as we are older and dont want to slip while showering. Negative: Some minor things really. The bed was hard and a bit uncomfortable. The shower head had a hole where it came out of the wall, and the toilet was very low. It was hard to stand up when finished!
My husband and I were traveling and had to stop after 9 hours of driving so we checked in around 11pm after 3 hours we spotted a bed bug so I called front desk to address the situation mind you I have never seen a bed bug in my life. She told told me I needed proof so after hauling our stuff back to the car I went back in and found a baby one which I took to the front office and was told they would give me a full refund. After about ten days I called and they said it was already refunded. It was not so I had to call the main office and spoke with someone after getting the run around from the hotel it was finally refunded.Glad it was refunded but hopefully didnt take any of those nasty pests to our in-laws or back home.Word of advice always check your room thoroughly.
Positive: The fact that we were on the bottom and didnt have to haul everything up any stairs. Negative: The fact that the amenities were listed incorrectly. There was no indoor pool and the outdoor pool was not open and that is why we chose this hotel. The grounds keeper blew pollin and dirt all over me and our car inside a as well! This made me so angry!!
My stay here at this Best Western Acworth inn located in Acworth, Georgia was So-so!Front desk• pleasure to deal with. Check in and out went flawlessly .The customer service provided was slammed dunked.Room•somewhat Clean, smelled good. Spacious and so so comfortable feeling.Bed•Clean, comfortable for my taste. It did have that well rested night feeling in the morning when I woke up.Bathroom•Was Dirty, I cleaned up the bathroom and it served its purpose good.•Shower head was needing to be changed out, in my opinion, the water stream was great and the hot water was hotBreakfast• Did not attend breakfast during my stayWiFi connection• Login was easy. Speeds were Consistent around 50 mbps down and 20 upSo all in all I give this Best Western Acworth Inn - 3 out of 5.This hotel has served for what I was looking for. Could have been more cleaner but it is what it is.See pictures I tookMy room was on the first floor.
Room appeared to be clean but during the night we were invaded by large black ants. They were particular bad in the bathroom area. This was brought to the attention of the desk clerk who had no authority to help us. We stayed only the one night and were promised a call back from someone with authority in management, but that never happened.Sad.
Best Western’s app had an issue and did not show my reservation. I contacted Best Western and they said no problem looks like you don’t have a reservation. I ended up booking a room for the same night since I was told I no longer had a reservation at this location. I’ve now been charged twice for a room I didn’t stay in. I’ve contacted the hotel 3 times but the general manager is mysteriously never there. They don’t even have a work schedule—how can I get this gig! Never showing up to work but getting paid??? The GM won’t contact me back and refuses to give me my refund. We’ve always stayed at BW only, but that’s changing because of the lack of quality from the management staff at this Best Western.
This was a great hotel. Seems very well kept and organized! Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was decent and also very clean and organized. Any staff we came in contact with were very friendly especially Jake at the front desk. Would definitely stay here again.
These people charged me a 100 deposit and will not return it. I am waiting currently to speak with the corporate office. I went back in the room. To take pictures of the room to make sure they didnt say had any damage. They are very rude and disrespectful. They told me my deposit was to be added back to my card and they lied to me and keep giving me the run around
Absolutely fantastic staff!!! Sadly displaced for over 2 months and called this hotel home during that time. They were also able to meet my requests for a ground level unit away from a stairwell as well.Very convenient location at the intersection of 92 & 75 with several local restaurants and fast food chains in the area.Water was always hot, bed comfy, AC cooled the room quickly, good selection of TV channels.Cons: Right off of 75 so would sometimes hear loud cars, ambulances, etc. There were some barking dogs 2 times, but it is a pet friendly hotel, so I consider that expected.
Was not that bad for the money. Rooms were very clean for a $80 stay. Inside needed an update but at least everything was clean.Note: if you are a piggy complaining type of person you will not enjoy this place. But if little things dont bother you this place is pretty well-maintained for such a cheap stay. I recommend if youre trying to save some money.
Found the room to be very clean was a little worried as we made our way to the back of the hotels for our room. The parking lot was a hang out spot. It did not feel safe. One tow truck driver staying there wondered around the parking lot shirtless the first few hours of our stay. He had guests in and out . 2 doors down from our room a couple fighting off an on in room and parking lot. Left early as we could in the am after not getting a good nights sleep. We were concerned about our car since guests had visitors in and out. Very load since it’s near the interstate. The employees were nice and the room was very clean . Did notice a ton of trash in parking lot near shirtless mans room in the am.
We only stayed here one night on our way home from Florida. It was easy to get to, right off the expressway. The parking lot was very well lit. The property seemed a little older, you access your room from the outside (and could see light coming in from under the door, which I didnt really like). The bathroom was tiny and the door wouldnt stay shut, the sink and mirror were outside the bathroom. The bed was comfy and the sheets were lovely. The pillows were a little lumpy. It was really cold when we arrived but warmed up very well, so the heater worked well.Everything seemed clean enough. I would probably stay here again as the price was fair for what you got.
$30/pet pet night. Oh and you can’t leave your pets in the room without you being there.. And when you stay for 4 days, you end up paying $1k for a best western which is absolutely asinine. My recommendation is to find a pet boarding place that charges $30 or less a day and go stay at the Hampton or something. The room looked less than sanitary, the air quality was absolutely awful and the a/c unit is not cleaned regularly which got me a nice chest cold while visiting family. Do not recommend nor will I stay again.
Horrible customer service charge me for $30 for pets which is outrageous. Then charged me an $65 fee for missing or stained sheets, when I ask for proof of stain because I knew I didn’t take them. They said they would have to call me back in an hour to further investigate it. So when they finally sent me pictures it looked like the sheets were wash previous to the picture. Highly unsatisfied with this establishment, will never stay here again!!
They take deposits for credit card too without letting customers know. Please make sure when you check in.I hope this review will help owners/operators know that front desk should let their guests know about their extra charges even if they are reimbursing later. We do not mind holding security deposits but we should know about it when you hold it. I hope that shouldn’t be the case when you’re staying in different hotels.Thank you.
Check in and check out were both very smooth. The desk attendants were polite and helpful. I love that they wore face masks and had plexiglass up for their safety. The room was clean and in good condition. There was not enough toilet paper. Thank goodness for tissues...
Nicely remodeled with new bathroom, furniture, carpet, drapes and fixtures. Its an older building, but the fresh update is remarkably good quality. The building is conveniently close to the highway, but the new double pane windows prevent traffic noise. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Positive: Location off highway was convenient for our one day layover. Negative: There is no way this should be a 2.5 star model. Not sure what warrants the extra half star. This is a basic 2 star motel with small rooms and the sink in the bedroom and not the bathroom which is annoying if you get up earlier than your partner.
Fit mine & my sons needs just fine for a weeklong Lakepoint baseballtournament. Comfortable bed & pillows, room a/c worked great, shower pressure was phenomenal. Fridge in the room & ice machines nearby kept drinks & food cold. Daily housekeeping was pleasant & helpful in doing any cleaning wanted. Covid continental breakfast 6-9a: Jimmy Dean microwaveable sandwiches, assortment of cereal, yogurt, applesauce, muffins/danishes & toast. Juices, coffee. Publix grocery store across the street (if you know, ya know...they have a great fresh fruit, hot & cold deli with hot chicken & the best subs). Laundry room was down 1 of 2 washers, but I had no issue using it when I needed to ($2 quarters for w & d). This place is easy on/off the hwy, 10 min drive to Lakepoint, 25 mins to Truist Park/Cumberland Mall (ATL). Well lit parking lot & great staff service. I liked it being a motel so I could park right outside my door, easier for transferring baseball equipment. Free wifi supported my Roku stick very well. Unfortunately, the pool was closed due to Covid inspections, not BW fault. There is a free public outdoor batting cage a couple miles away at Newberry Park.
Reasonable prices. Excellent staff. Nice rooms opening out into the private parking lot, which was well lit & seemed safe and secure. This will be our go-to hotel for future trips North.Rebecca checked us in with a smile late last night, accommodating our request for a ground floor room. We chose amenity points over a snack - we concurred with her when she said they last longer. We got our king size bed, which was comfortable, and the room was dark and quiet for a good night’s sleep. The fridge was extra cold, which I liked since I had cold packs that needed to be kept frozen. We didn’t use the microwave, but we used the flat screen TV that had more channels than we needed. The shower was perfect. Towels were soft and absorbent. Hair dryer worked perfectly. We didn’t use the coffee pot. We had a table & 2 chairs, and a window AC/heat unit. The room was a good size, and husband had only one minor criticism - toilet/shower room seemed small. Room temperature was ideal. The breakfast buffet had everything we wanted: OJ & apple juice, coffees (decaf & regular), hot teas, oatmeal (toppings included raisins, coconut, nuts, & more), yogurts, cereals (4 kinds with 2 kinds of milk in 2 pitchers), breads, pastries, bagels, scrambled eggs, biscuits/gravy, and more! The staff was constantly cleaning up after each guest ate, with smiles & efficiency. We had a good breakfast.Kent checked us out - friendly and efficient. We took a USA TODAY to read later. Took one last night, too, for bedtime reading. Nice to see the newspaper for guests. Please keep them in the future.
Hotel is in a great location with fast food all around. It was right off the exit on 75. Its on a one way, but it wasnt hard to get around that. Its an older hotel where room doors are on the outside.Staff was very friendly! They answered all questions with a smile, provided directions, and offered local restaurants for those tired of fast food. The rooms are small, but beds were comfy. The bathroom could use more light and its small. Had a nice open area right outside the bathroom. Air conditioning worked very well for the Georgian heat. WIFI was excellent and easy to hook up too!Housekeeping was excellent! The area itself was very well kept and well light! Pool was nice and clean!
At time of Check-in (+/- 11 PM) I requested a Late check-out (12 PM) and the Desk person mentioned that was not a problem. fast forward 4 days later and at 1140 AM, I get a know on my room door and I open and its a lady with regular street clothes, no BW Uniform or any sort of ID that represents she is a BW Employee, I cannot understand what she is saying thru her mask and accent, I ask to please have the Front Desk call my room, 3 minutes later I get a call and its the front desk employee, stating You have to get out I went on to explain what had transpired at the time of check-in and she said no and again repeated you have to get out and said goodbye and hung-up the phone. I then proceeded to the Front desk to speak to a Manager and the front desk person (Nina) said No and that I had to leave the lobby, I refused to leave and she called the cops whom arrived 15 minutes later. had this Nina person had an ounce of courtesy all she had to do was gibe me the 18 minutes until 12 PM to leave or even say you can have a late check out an additional cost, it was not until the cops arrived that she mentioned it. Although I agreed with the charge I felt it should not have been charged. based on the Ninas (Karen) attitude.I must admit that when I arrived into the lobby I used an expletive word. (I said: Why you had to be an A**hole over the phone. had she not been rude and unpleasant over the phone I would not have used that word as I approached her.
The person at the front desk asked us three times if we had pets. And we repeatedly told her we didnt. But she wasnt friendly or forthcoming with additional information that we usually receive upon arrival at a hotel. We arrived after 10pm and so we were exhausted. But we couldnt ignore her attitude and persistent questions about pets. I am a travel rewards member and do not recommend coming to this hotel with this person at the front desk.
Kent at the front desk Monday-Friday was the ONLY good thing about this place. We travel frequently for work and use hotels.com to book. Our cat travels with us as we are typically away for 3-4 weeks at a time. I understand that additional fees are normal for pets. With that being said; $15/ day is very steep. We booked a total of 15 days. Thank goodness we dont have a dog because the fee is $30/ day for dogs. Let me also state that I was on my phone with my earbuds in and the owner just let himself in my room when the privacy please sign was prominently displayed on the door. I did not hear him knock and am completely confused as to why he would just come in the room. I am extremely glad that this is our last day here and we will NEVER stay here again.
Im an employee of Best Western in Kansas City, MO & traveling on vacation. I booked a room here & was skeptical...but no need to in the future. Jose was very polite. Our room was beyond my expectations just to sleep overnight, as that was our stopping point from Kansas City, MO to Daytona Beach, FL. Price just right, Wonderful breakfast & lots if selections for a full breakfast, & Samantha was very pleasant to chat with as I checked out. Definitely recommend staying here!! Clean rooms, hot water was definitely needed in the morning & had no issues with our room. Beds super comfy & vending machines very affordable. Thank you for making the start of my vacation a great one! 😊🥰😎
Stopped here on our way from Michigan to Florida. The room was very clean, the water pressure in the shower was great, everything worked. There was a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and even a little table with chairs. The mattress was firmer then I prefer but I slept great. Free breakfast. Good value for the price. Comfortable nights stay.We stayed at a Hilton recently (not in GA) that was way more expensive and was dirty and the toilet didnt flush! It was gross so you dont ALWAYS get what you pay for. 😁5 stars to the housekeeping people who cleaned the room before us because it was spotless. Especially the bathroom. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Thank you!
Very nice and clean clean clean hotel, great for a night stop, however no USB ports, no desk so a bit impractical for an extended stay.Did have a small window table that works for a desk with 1 double outlet in reach.Staff is very friendly and my dog was welcomed.I would definitely stay here again for a 1-2 night travel stay.
The room smelled really musty and dank. It was humid inside but not outside. Maybe the carpet was recently cleaned? I like pet rooms that have laminate flooring. With carpet theres no telling how many animals have had accidents. The breakfast set up was very nice and well maintained. The woman working it was friendly and very accommodating. Check-in staff and cleaning staff were all very friendly. Nice grounds for dog walking and disposal bags were provided.
Stayed here during a basketball tournament. Room was clean and the grounds around the hotel were well manicured. The price was excellent compared to surrounding hotels. The room served its purpose for a budget no frills hotel. The bathrooms need to be updated and the rooms a bit on the small side since the sink and counter are in the open room space.
Stayed there on 7/21/19 I got in very late. The gentleman at the front counter was very pleasant to deal with. Went to my room open the door and there are bugs smashed on the mall. Go to turn on the ac unit and there are beetles in ac unit .Took the ac unit almost 45 minutes to cool the room. Very aggravated and discussed at this. I understand the climate of we’re the property is located and you get bugs, I get that but it’s pure laziness that they couldn’t have cleaned it off the walls. When you see this kinda stuff it makes you wonder where else they are being lazy in the cleaning process of the rooms. I travel for business and stayed at about 15 different Best Westerns last year. this was my first bad experience with the Best Western chain.
Ok room but nothing spectacular. Front desk guy was pleasant and friendly. Room had that water musk smell. AC didnt work that great. It was off when I got here and it took forever to cool room. If youre looking for a nicer stay I wouldnt pick this place but if youre just looking for a place to lay your head, itll do.
My husband and I stayed at this Best Western on July 20, 2019. We had been driving from Indiana to Florida. I thought the recent reviews were decent enough to go ahead and try this hotel out. Im not an overly picky person but some things are just not acceptable! First, the room smelled, which I almost expected from previous reviews but the smell made my asthma flare up. Second, I took my flip flops off...please do not do this... the floor felt damp and sticky. Third, I turned down one bed and there was a hair on the clean sheets and it was not hair from a persons head and the sheets felt damp! Forth, the bathroom smelled like pee, and the floor had dried yellow stains at the base! Fifth, I went to use one of their shampoo/soap samples and it was empty, went to grab the other, same thing! Sixth, the alarm clock didnt even work. All of these wonderful things for a $104 stay from 12:30 am to 7 am! I will never stay at a Best Western anywhere ever again. I couldnt sleep fearing that the room was so disgusting that the next thing I would find would be bed bugs or something else truly vile crawling around. My husband checked us out and he did not want me going in and he did not complain because we were on a time crunch to get to Florida for my 72 year-old fathers surgery...BUT I am taking the time to write this review so that no one (who doesnt have to stay as an absolute last resort) wastes their hard earned money on this hotel!
The staff was very nice and helpful on check in. The room was small but sufficient. We were booked for a 2 night stay. Went out with friends for the day and came back in the evening to find they had turned our keys off. When we went to find out what happened they asked how long we would be there. We said this was our last night and they fixed our keys. It was frustrating.
We were desperate for a place to stay for the night. It was late and we got the last room. There was a pool right across the hall from our room but we were too late and too tired to use it. They were very nice and helpful to us. Room was nice and very comfortable. It was handicap friendly. Very nice breakfast bar. Also very expensive too.
Arrived at the hotel about 1:30 am and staff was friendly and helpful. Went to our rooms and they had a nice fresh smell. They had little touches here and there to make it feel high end and nice with affordable pricing. The beds were clean and comfortable and I felt safe staying there.
Dont let the fact that this hotel appears older fool you. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. Staff is friendly. The grounds are kept up very nicely as well. Also offer free use of a full device gym across the street which I found to be a great perk, as my stay was for a week. For the price its a great place to stay for an extended stay or just a night if your driving thru. If Im ever in the area again Id definitely stay there.
Stinks heavily of smoke! And you will leave smelling just like it! Uncomfortable bed & pillows. Paperthin walls...we had very noisy neighbor. Hence, NO SLEEP. And, to make the stayworse, an extra $21 dollars for there fees from the original amount you were quoted when you check in will be added to your bill when you check out the next day 😡
I dont like places where individual rooms open to the outdoors. They are usually drafty and noisy. Despite that this hotel has nicely appointed rooms, is very comfortable and has a very friendly staff. Full breakfast hours are generous and comparable to similar places. May have. Upped to five stars if they had real oatmeal and not just instant
I would recommend this Best Western to anyone needing a place to spend the night in the Acworth area. It is very convenient off and on to the interstate and was clean. The front desk people are very helpful and friendly. I was also very impressed with the variety of food in the breakfast area. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if in the area!
This motel looked great from the outside, but our room was a little to be desired. The sink drain would not drain. We ended up taking out the stopper in the sink rather than bother the front desk. The next morning I did tell the ladies that were cleaning so it wouldn’t happen to another guest. The motel is definitely an older one.
This is the nicest hotel we have stayed at in a while. The staff is super friendly and efficient. The room was clean, pleasant and had everything we might have needed. Everything was in perfect working order and the bed was so comfy. The breakfast was WONDERFUL! The pancakes were a pleasant surprise and there were so many choices that I believe anyone would be satisfied. We will definitely recommend this Best Western to everyone we know who is traveling this way.
Nice stay, great location to historic down town. This hotel and the staff were a great experience. The staff member pointed me in the right direction for great dining and site seeing in historic down town. Loved my stay , as I was on business. will be back when I can actually stay longer and enjoy the area.
Check-in/out staff was very pleasant and personable. Parking spaces were larger; and there were plenty of them. The wifi was very good. Liked having fridge and microwave. Breakfast was okay; but sooo appreciated it as we were in a hurry to get out for the day. Very clean. Only negative was maybe an older, not dirty, smell. I have an overly sensitive nose. It didnt bother my family. Appreciated my non-smoking room. I was unable to visit the fitness area. My boys enjoyed the pool. We would visit again.
I appreciate your reply, the Hampton by Hilton was booked until this evening, so my only other option was sleeping in my car. You seem to think because that is the case the condition of your rooms provided to your paying customer is acceptable, it is not. Please dont confuse nessessity with choice. Your reply lacks context of the problem due to the arrogance of your staff members LT and Asia. I didnt ask for any special codes as your team continues to note, not did I ask for any special discount based on the length of stay as you seem to keep presenting as fact. I showed up in person, booked direct through your desk clerk, who gave me a rate for the room per night and promised it would be clean. There is drip marks on the paint in the living space, paint chipping off the walls, the two aforementioned roaches, a door so beat up it looks like a piece of SWAT team practice gear. Shame on you for for attempting to discredit my feedback and moreso for trying to squeeze cash out of our working American family. Of course it not acceptable for you to rebook my room at a much higher full daily rate and they only credit what is left over just because I wanted out. Sad. Very sad. I have yet to, but will be addressing this situation directly with your managing brand for this location. God bless.
Made a reservation on line. Night attendant told me that since reservation was through a third party, that she could not honor the price of $79. Said the regular price was $109. After much discussion she finally gave it to me at $89. Still not the on line price but it was late and my family was tired. Room was decent. Breakfast was decent. Biscuits and gravy were not very good. Plain no taste gravy.
Traveling 75 south bound for an international flight early morning decided to stop at this exit and get a hotel room to rest for the evening. The hotel was in very good condition clean and the employee working the front desk was extremely friendly. My only negative is that the expense for a hotel with exterior rooms seem to be a little pricey. However the location was quick in and out off the interstate probably would not stay here again simply due to the price $89
Recently stayed at this hotel while passing through GA and had a very unpleasant experience. Room was not clean, there were dirty towels left in there from a previous guest. Called the front desk to notify them and was told if I wanted clean towels, I had to walk all the down to the front desk myself to get them. Staff was not apologetic in regard to the condition of the room and did not attempt to make our stay better. If I were familiar with the area and wasnt exhausted from driving 13+ hours, I would have left. Did not sleep well as room was uncomfortable. Thanks to this experience, I will never stay at a Best Western again. Buyer Beware!!
We accidently left our laptop in the room upon checkout. We realized our mistake about 20 minutes later on I-75. We called the office and they had it and we were able to turn around and return to the hotel. The manager and the staff member were very quick in finding it and return it to us. Thank you very much. Great staff at this hotel!
We stay here 2 nights a year, going from Chicago area, to Fort Myers, FL, (1300 miles) and returning a few months later. Acworth, GA. about the 1/2 way point.Certainly missed the hot breakfast bar, but understandable w/ the epidemic happening.BUT, the doggy bags contents were very dissapointing.
We stayed at the BW for nine nights due to hurricane Irma. The beds were fantastic, rooms very clean, I enjoyed the Lobby area to catch up on business and the breakfast wonderful! I was also happy to see this hotel had more sustainable single use paper products for their breakfasts instead of styrofoam or plastic:) They just need to trade the plastic utensils in for real ones. Their breakfast deserves it!
Honest people might not want to stay here. In June 2018 I reserved two rooms for a night. I sat in a chair in my room and turned to see the television. The leg snapped. Whether it was already broken or I broke it I cant say. The next morning I did what was right and I went to the office and told the desk clerk what happened. To my surprise I was subsequently billed $210 for the chair. I should have kept my mouth shut and just left.At this Best Western an honest person is penalized. Stay somewhere else.
Last minute stop late at night when my family was extremely tired, and several hours from our destination. Very friendly staff. The full size beds are too small. A queen size is so much more comfortable for 99% of the adult population. Otherwise it was a great quick stop when we needed it.
Rooms are old. Dingy smell. Very noisy. You can hear everything from the room above you, noisy water pipes, and all the outside interstate noise. Internet did not work. They also ran out of breakfast items before breakfast was even halfway finished. Rooms are dirty. My toilet and tub hadnt been cleaned. There were even bugs in the room. My toddler even found a piece of dog chew on the floor.
Stayed here 2 years ago and it was clean, quiet, comfortable, and affordable. Stayed again this past weekend and it was just as nice. They offer a free hot breakfast too (eggs, sausage, bisquits, pancakes as well as cold items). If you prefer theres a McDonalds next door. I plan to stay again when I travel through the area in the next few weeks. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Micro and fridge worked and were clean. I had a nicer, quieter stay than when I was in Kennesaw near the Costco.7/2016 update. Still like the hotel but this time I was charged $127 for a room I have only paid $89 for the last 6X, and they were booked solid. Unfortunately the mob of youths staying there thought it was okay to stay up until midnight reenacting their sports events they participated in that day, made the stay less than pleasant. Disappointed.
I came out here for a wedding & didn’t want to drive back. I must say pulling in to the parking lot you would think 1980’s vibe. However when u get to your room.. a different story. The rooms are updated with flat screens a mini fridge and microwave. It did have a musty Oder upon arrival. After a while it was okay. The bed I had was very comfortable as well as the pillows. The only thing, the sheets had some type of specks on it. So I pulled that off and flipped it over. The iron wouldn’t stay on ( remember we going to a wedding) so we end up using a hairdryer. The bathroom was very clean, including the tub and toilet and floor. The tv remote didn’t work so we had to change the channel with the controls on the tv itself. The location is great. It’s right off the highway. There is an abundance of places to eat, a strip mall nearby, with a Publix.
It was an ok motel . I did have one major issue which to me was not handled appropriately. They allowed me to het quarters and wash my laundry with no working dryer. I had to find a laundry mat at midnight.I wouldve offered my guest to use the hotel dryer.Very aggrevated and mad. Also got double charged for pet fee.
It was an average hotel to stay at. There wasnt really nothing to special about the place. The room service was great, the place was clean, and everything worked fine. Only cons was the fridge did make a loud humming noise and the lights in the bathroom and outside bathroom blew. The place is conveniently located around a lot of places including McDonalds, Wendys, Zaxbys, Publix, etc... would recommend a stay here.
Room was ok & was clean. It was strange though that radio was on & toilet seat up in room upon my arrival. I did not realize when booking it more motel style with room with doors direct to parking lot. I try to avoid this. Was told when I asked about it, that if I decided not to stay would be charged. I am a frequent user so was not happy. Strange set up as you go through the Best Western parking lot to get to a much cheaper hotel in back that has a big sign in Best Western lot with rooms starting at $45/ night. Breakfast was ok. Definitely will not stay at this particular Best Western again. Hotel was located next to I75 so very easy on & off access. I had selected this particular hotel & exit due to shopping at Calebra.
We stay at this hotel each time we pass through on our way to and from Florida. The staff is friendly and helpful with services and information. The room was good and an excellent value for the price. I would advise any traveler passing through the Atlanta area to consider this hotel.
I reserve two rooms and they charged me 3 times. Only one of the three charges matched the receipt. The lady at the front desk told me that my bank must have made a mistake. All the rooms stink and one of the rooms that we got and had to be switched out of smell like dog urine. They are very rude and have no Management on site. Worst customer service and worst hotel Ive ever stayed in!
Kind of strange how you couldn’t go in the lobby late at night to check in (there was a window on the side with thick glass where you talked to the receptionist) and the rooms were a bit outdated and run down. Also didn’t have any roll away beds or pack n plays available. Continental breakfast was good though. Wouldn’t stay at it again but it was fine for the night to sleep for a few hours.
Stopped here for a night to crash on way to Florida. .. front desk lady was very friendly and personable. .. hotel is not a new hotel but was kept up nicely, room was clean and comfortable. ..I recommend this for a nice place to stop at. . By the way we ate at the Mexican Restaurant La Bamba just down the street and they had the friendliest staff highly recommend it
Yes we were so disappointed with Western hotel. We paid $101 for a very average room with very average furnishings. The futnishings were dated, the toilet sat very close to the floor, microwave and refrigerator were dated as well. In general, the Ackworth Best Western didnt meet our expectations for the price. The room was very clean and the bed was clean and nice. Sincerely, Carole-Ann Coan, 3014 N Shortridge Rd, Indianapolis IN 46226 brother sold his place
Not happy with this stay at all. We arrived at the hotel to a hot room! Air was not on, and it took most of the night to cool it. I was also emailed a invoice stating our price for the stay, when we arrived it was much more than what was stated on invoice. The sales tax is outrageous also, there are so many fees, for nonsense , our family will not be staying here again due to service, when I stated issue about it all, they did not help to resolve.
The staff was GREAT which is the only reason I have it a 3 star . Besides that the hotel had that MOTEL look and vibe which I HATED. Only reason I stayed was because all other hotels where booked . If you love the super 8 motel vibe then you would like this , if you like REAL looking hotels then stay away .
The hotel is old and out dated. beds are uncomfortable. exhaust fan in bathroom hasnt been cleaned in years. i did not feel comfortable at this hotel. the website pictures give you a different impression. the back half of the hotel has been converted to long term rentals. they are constantly walking thru the main hotel area. i did not feel safe at this hotel. i checked out and stayed at the micro tele in woodstock. it was less money and so much better! this move saved our vacation!
Did not stay because hotel had my room booked for extra days and tried to charge me even though I had called days before to confirm my stay as I always do. Hotel rep at desk said too bad. Hotel blamed on Expedia but I was on phone with Expedia when they called to correct issue and hotel refused to make it right. Just avoid hotel and stay elsewhere, very rude and I never post a review, much less a negative one!
Tried to rent a room because I was visiting family since Im in the military and was turned away because I lost my credit card and only had cash. The man with the pony tail wouldnt give me correct name of manager and told us to Go then if you dont have a credit card. Definitely never staying at a best western again. Lost my money and will tell all my friends in the military to never use best western
I found ants in the bed. I pulled down the covers to find an ant crawling in the bed. It was disturbing, but I chalked it up to a one time thing and moved on. Later that night getting ready for bed, I found another ant crawling in the bed. I told the desk about it at checkout and they said they would look into the issue. They did apologize, but I was actually expecting some sort of refund or compensation but nothing was offered. I paid 200$ for 2 nights. I guess you can say I paid 100$ an ant. Very disturbed and very unhappy.
TL:DR You get less than what you paid for, but it still tastes good enough for you to want to come back.Overall the food is really great and of high quality, however a significant problem I had was the inconsistent and shy servings. Considering that the main philosophy of this establishment is to that the food is made by people for people, it is not uncommon for inconsistency. However this being said, this does not explain the shy servings and the inconsistent professionalism presented by the employees. When portioning food into a container, several of my containers appeared to be half-full/empty. Im especially frustrated by this because of their premium pricing, boastful general philosophy of food made by people for people, and the apparent lack of quality assurance when spooning out the food. Several of the items had inconsistent texture and composition, such as too much of one thing or being partially burnt. If this is really food made by people for people, then Im sure that none of them would want to eat the weirdly portioned food that they encourage me to eat. When I discussed this with the person collecting my money, they appeared to be unempathetic and write me off as another person just trying to get an underserving edge. However, I dont think anything is wrong with me just trying to get my moneys worth of the food.
The Best Western Acworth Inn will not refund my money because they claim that the booking agent (Trip Advisor, GetaRoom, etc) has to do the refund, because the booking agent collected the money from me. Meanwhile the booking agent sent the money to Best Western back when they booked the room (minus their fee)!!! The booking agent cant refund me because Best Western has charged them! Nice try Best Western Acworth Inn. Im an auditor, but it doesnt take an auditor to know that YOU have my money so YOU need to refund it. The booking agent acts as the intermediary. To recap- I paid YOU extra for a cancellable room, YOU keep my money and refuse to send it back to me or the booking agent (so they can refund it to me). My money is in YOUR pocket! Scam, scam, scam and I have filed a complaint with Christoper Carr, Georgia State Attorney General. Good luck trying to fool the State Attorney General.
This is a well maintained newer property located a few minutes from the interstate. Quiet but near shops a grocery store and a few eating places. Breakfast has all the standard BW items. Fitness center available but we did not use it. You drive up to an outside door. Daily paper provided, nothing to downgrade here.
We stayed here last year and had a room with a refrigerator. This year I check in and there is no refrigerator.... when I booked through Expedia it says refrigerator... I called the front desk and they told me those rooms are already taken.... not coolAfter calling again they gave us a room with a fridge....guess they werent sold out of those
You can find 20 other nearby much better properties for same price. They have some sort of business arrangement with Experient travel that is related to Perfect Game. Conveniently they don’t release game schedule until after ridiculous reservation cancellation window of 14 days closes and then claim there is nothing they can do. If you’re used to better businesses with 24-48 windows, stay away for total lack of professionalism and scam, but you should stay away for lack of cleanliness alone.
If there was an option for less than one star that is what this property would receive. I booked two rooms at this hotel as a property to stay during the evacuation from hurricane Irma but due to other arrangements called three days in advance of my arrival and cancelled. I later reviewed my credit card statement and realized that I was still charged for one of those stays even though i had a cancellation number stating that it was cancelled. I called and spoke to a front desk clerk who said that General Manager Kim would receive my information and refund the amount. I have never received a call and as of today my account is still reflecting that amount gone. I cannot believe that the Best Western Brand would allow this kind of scalping during such a perilous situation. I will be following up with all channels. Do not support this establishment as I am sure this was done to others as well.

2022-05-07The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The refrigerator and microwave were a great addition. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was quiet and the parking lot was well lit.My husband is in a wheelchair. The handicapped accessible room was NOT ADA Compliant (not 36 of clearance). While the doors were wide and there were grab bars in the bathroom the furniture was too close together for a wheelchair to navigate through. We planned to stay 2 nights, but we will check-out this morning and make other arrangements tonight. Different furniture placement and a dresser which is not as deep would remedy these obstacles.

2022-01-29Positive: Refrigerator was great. Rooms are drive up so we could leave our bikes on the car & feel they were secure. Room was clean, beds were comfortable & even though the hotel is right off I75, quiet.

2022-03-15Positive: Price was the big reason for staying here. It was very convenient to the highway. Negative: The desk staff was short & abrupt. The room was on the second floor & there wasnt an elevator. The room was clean but dated as was the bathroom. Breakfast was very simple - cereal, fruit & breakfast sandwich warmed by the microwave.

2022-03-25Positive: Lets get this straight, it was clean. But tvs are small no HD and limited menu. Beds also are small. Tight quarters in bathroom. Negative: This is definitely not a Hotel This is a motel with all rooms have outside access. 5 or 10 bucks more gets you a nice hotel in the same area , dont be fooled like I was.

2022-04-11Positive: Excellent value. Very clean. Seems like it was just updated. Very safe and secure parking. Great location just outside of Atlanta. Bonus is not one but two Waffle Houses at same exit. Nice little downtown for dinner and drinks. Negative: Bathroom could use a little update. Did not match the quality of the rest of the room.

2022-06-18Stayed here before several times and it was fine. This time was different. I was met with attitude at front desk. The person working was challenging me about having an existing reservation which I did but she said I never added my dog to It. I told her there is no place to add a dog that I stated so in the comments. She acted like she was doing me a favor letting me stay there. while that was going on someone else was actually checking me in not her?? when I left I had unauthorized charges on my card. I called about it and was told 2 of my bathroom towels were dirty so I had to pay for them, WHAT?? Stay at your own risk, thats all I can say. Must be under new management, lousy management.

2022-05-24Was clean. Property was dead but I was still put in the furthest room from where breakfast would be (office) as possible and so when I asked to change it the manager gave me some attitude for my time and gave me a room with no microwave or fridge but still charged me the same price as the room with it all. Beds were not comfy my gf and me both slept terribly. Both laundry machines were inoperable. The snack machine was inoperable. In the morning the tv had no reception and when I called the office the phone rang about 15 times before I got a very rude “front desk!” Sorry to have bothered her. Breakfast was very basic but good enough had everything u need. The property had very few guests so why is staff so rude here? At least it was quiet.

2022-03-03Was the best experience. I left my iPad in my room. It was found by the cleaner and turned into the desk. I was called about it right away. I was too far away in another state. This was on a Saturday at the end of February. The front desk person suggested that they could have it sent UPS.sine it was the weekend, it had to wait until Monday. On Monday I got a call from UPS. We made arrangements to get it the next day. I got it within 24 hours. If not for the staff at the hotel, I would have had to. Spend a whole lot more to replace it. Best experience ever at any motel. Even got a first floor room that was unexpected. Thank you so much

2022-05-21Bed was comfortable. Water pressure was great. The only problem was the stopper to the tub was broken which made the tub fill up when we took a shower. They fixed it after the second request.
