Had another excellent experience. I called them up bc I wanted to order another pair of shoes I’d previously bought from them. I had worn them out, but they didn’t have them in my size and color since ASICS was about to roll out the newer version. Shanta found them at another location, called that store, and then arranged for them to priority 1-day them to me free of charge. Great experience again!
I had scheduled an appointment for a shoe fitting. Jessie came out immediately after helping out another customer. She was very sweet. I felt like we had discussed a variety of topics pertaining to running and she was helpful and knowledgeable in every area. I have a lot of foot pain in my right foot and I believe it was due to running on the wrong shoes while training for a half marathon. We went through a TON of shoes and finally found what I hope is the one that will help with my running. She made sure that I stretched properly and gave insight on what she thought was best for me to do after my runs. It was my first time here and it certainly wont be the last. Thank you Jessie for being so awesome! Jessie definitely deserves acknowledgement for her hard work. Will recommend more runners to this location. A+

This is one of the best experiences that I have had in a store in a long time. Due to convenience and lack of quality customer service at most brick and mortars, I usually shop online.I heard great things about this store and the staff did not disappoint.I have had issues with my running shoes and needed new ones. I came to the store to get tested in the type of running shoes I needed. Erin did an amazing job analyzing what running shoe I would need. She asked me what my preferences were and she came out with running shoes that would fit my need. She was knowledgeable so I was able to make an informed decision on selecting my next pair of shoes.Im very happy that I came to Big Peach Running Co. and I will return to get another pair (hopefully soon)!
You have a customer for life. I called in with a concern & complaint & spoke to Kirk & he ensured me to bring in my shoes & it would be taken care of. When I arrived Shanta took it from there. She has excellent customer service skills, very patient, extremely informative with the shoes & she went above & beyond to make sure I had my shoes. Thank you so much Shanta.
Excellent place to score gear for the avid runner or just anyone looking for the best in fitness/support goods. Owner and staff are all very nice and helpful, and seem to take pleasure in providing just what you need to accompany your active lifestyle. Staff members, yes 2 of them, were happy to fit me after an injury when I came in only a few minutes before they were to close, and even happy to pull me selections in specific colors (for me even a running shoe has to match an outfit, lol!) Wont shop anywhere else after the wonderful customer service I received on my first visit there, from yet again, 2 employees!
This store was located in downtown Decatur near the courthouse; they have moved to the shopping & restaurant complex near Emory Decatur Hosp. The store is much bigger, so it can carry a bigger inventory and variety of shoes and other supplies. Their website shows what brands & models of shoes, with what sizes, are in stock. I found they had a much bigger selection of shoes in my size than was stated on the website. I called the store first. I received a prompt greeting and assistance with trying on shoes. The person helping me could give information on each type shoe, and I had all the time I needed to try on shoes, walk around the store in them, and try them on again later.Also, the store is doing a very good job with ensuring social distancing, that all are masked, and that hand sanitizer is easily available.
Staff was kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. I think the man who helped me was named Ty, and he was fantastic. I left with a pair of shoes I knew would fit me well.
Mark was a very helpful and knowledgeable salesperson, who was interested in helping me find exactly the right type of shoes for me. I had actually just come from Fleet Feet, and was wanting to compare their shoe selection, but I ended up being far more impressed with their (Big Peachs) level of customer service. Mark is fantastic!!!

I love this shoe store with runners assisting as sales people! My daughters are runners and have all sorts of issues with feet and recovering from injury and the sales people are always knowledgeable and patient in helping them find the right shoes that will accommodate their needs. You just tell them what you need, they evaluate your gait, go to the storage room and return with an armload of shoes to try and jog around in. This is especially convenient when shopping for teenagers who tend to be finicky and hard to please. I’m grateful for Big Peach and adore the new location!
Best brick and mortar experience ever. I usually buy sneakers online. I can find what I want and Im content. Walking into Big Peach Running company today I had no expectations or assumptions. I was greeted pleasantly by a sales representative who didnt bum rush me or go for the hard sell. He asked me what I was looking for and when I told him he pointed me to the running shoes. His follow up was if I knew what I was looking for, and I told him my short story and he immediately brought me to the foot mapper, then sized me up, then picked 3 test sneakers based on that, hr watched me run in the first pair to see my gait. He took all 3 boxes he brought out back and came back with 2 different boxes. Had me try both independently and together and we found the right shoe. I liked it. It wasnt JUST how it felt to me, it was physiology first then comfort. To top it all off...the price wasnt outlandish. Comparable to a mall or brand store but with personalized service and attention. 100% when these kicks are worn down to the soles...Im going back to Big Peach Running Company in Decatur.
Best shoe store ever! The staff member looked at the brand and model my podiatrist had recommended, then helped me contrast every comparable model by brand until I found the perfect fit, which in my case was literally what the doctor had ordered. He gave me some good inside tips about sport shoes in general and then a generous discount on the purchase. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Currently struggling with a lower leg injury and came in to see if the staff had any recommendations in terms of footwear, support, or recovery. Jade was very helpful and patient as she brought out multiple pairs for me to try and was very deliberate in helping me figure out the reason WHY I liked a certain pair over another. She and the rest of the staff were incredible. I was able to log a good chunk of miles the next day with almost no pain thanks to Jade - thanks, yall!

I visited the Decatur store today. I went with my husband and daughter. We had a great experience. The blonde lady that helped us was very personable. She sat on the floor in front of while helping us fit for shoes just like if she were family coming over to our house for a visit. The price was just as high as everywhere else but they definitely put in more effort to make sure you get the shoe that fits your running style.

As a someone who is still new to running, I really appreciated them taking the time to share their expertise with me while helping me find a great pair of running shoes. I’m a new runner dealing with shin splints. The long haired guy showed me the shoe remedy. He was polite handling my novice ways. I was skeptical at first cause I wanted a cheaper fix. Thanks for the help. Can’t wait to get back to running again.
Im not an avid runner, but my husband is and Ive been with him multiple times to purchase shoes from Big Peach. Every single time weve been there, they greet us when we enter, help Jason find the right shoes (no matter how many pairs he has to try on!) and makes sure that we get everything we need. Weve also been to the Midtown location and the Brookhaven location, and had the same experience at those, too. All around this is a great local local running business that were proud to support!
Terrific place! I had been having a lot of foot pain recently, so I went in to check Big Peach out to see if a more carefully chosen shoe would help. And help it did! Erin was patient and knowledgeable and helped measure my foot and gait to see what would work. I could not be happier with the experience.
I took the Good Form Running class at this location and it was fantastic. It completely changed the way I run. Now, by no means do I think I have good form after this class, but I know its much improved. I even changed from needing stability shoes to neutral shoes thanks to my new mid-foot strike running style. I havent had shin splint issues in a while thanks to this class as well. Definitely recommend it!
Ive been buying shoes from here for a while. The staff is always more knowledgeable and runner-centric than your regular chain stores.They have a treadmill indoors and foot mapping things to help with your fittings. Additionally they have a pretty liberal return policy so you can make sure you get the right shoe.

Went in having self diagnosed with peroneal tendinitis. Pain was on the outside of my upper ankle in both legs.Told the guy here at Big Peach. He knew exactly what I was talking about, confirmed where the pain was occurring, and got me into a good pair of shoes. 0 pain since. They know their stuff

2022-06-01I love this store! They find out all about you get and running style in order to f the best shoes. First you stand on a device that determines where the pressure is on your feet. It will show if your have flat feet or high arches. Then they record you walking and running to see how your stride and gait is. From there they can determine the type of shoe that will support your specific needs. The cost is higher than what you would find at other stores about $80-200/pair, but its worth it for the long term health of your joints!

2022-01-20Enjoying my new Altra running shoes that Sales Rep Eshi helped me to pick out. 😁 After analyzing my feet with the pressure point device, Eshi patiently worked with me to find the perfect runners for my feet. 🦶 After trying what felt like over 10 pairs, the Altra fitted my feet the best. 🙌 Truly appreciate Eshi helping me find that right shoe because we do a lot of running at CrossFit Lay It Down in Tucker.🏃So these new running shoes will come in handy real soon during an upcoming running workout. 🏋️♂️

2022-08-10I was having some metatarsalgia and plantar fasciitis as well as knee and ankle pain during my workouts. It resulted in a significant drop in total gym time and I was starting to gain weight and feel unhealthy. My orthopedist gave me a list of recommendations and suggested Peachtree Running Co. I was lucky to have Jesse as my sales person. She analyzed my feet and made some suggestions. I cannot tell you how many different pairs of shoes I tried. For each she would tie me a runners knot and patiently wait for me to run on the treadmill and around the store- a routine i felt would best help me pick a shoe. She asked for feedback each time and remembered what I said so she could provide assistance in choosing. She did not pressure me to buy. We settled on the Hoka one one -clifton with inserts for my arch and to assist w my plantar fasciitis and metatarsalgia. I am back to the gym! I appreciate you Jesse!

2022-06-03The ladies here were very professional, knowledgable and helpful. I came in to get some new shoes, and to be fitted since I stand all day in the healthcare field. I was helped by one of the staff members, and she was very patient and thorough. I left there with comfortable pairs of shoes I can now wear to work.

2022-06-13I was going to travel and I wanted to make sure my feet were comfortable. We had a lot of walking to do. They took good care of me and mad sure I came out with the right sneakers. I am on my way to Rome and I know my feet will be comfortable. They were today walking in France.😍

Learnings:1 - their pricing is very competitive, no need to spend time trying find shoes at lower price2 - they do their best to match you with the right shoes, but it is up to you to figure out what works best. Generally I would stick with the same brand/type of shoes if it worked well in the past.3 - very honest and trustworthy.

2021-12-21My lady told me about this store and so I decided to stop in and pick up a last minute Christmas gift for my kids. After seeing how knowledgeable and helpful Shanta at the Decatur store was on world of running shoes, I decided to treat myself to a pair. I learned a lot and my feet definitely are thankful that I made this purchase. I definitely will be back.
