Big Tex Trailer World - McDonough in other cities:
In a market where gooseneck trailers are hard to find and waiting lists are ridiculous, I called and Brandi was AMAZING from start to finish! Financing was easy. Customer service was impeccable and our trailer arrived before schedule- they even worked to upgrade us into a slightly larger trailer! Definitely will buy our next trailer here!
Very good experience purchasing my new 14tl this morning. The sales staff were very friendly and even offered to send me pictures of the trailer yesterday when I called to check inventory. They made sure everything on the trailer was in perfect shape before I left. Thank y’all!
I am the owner of TK & Sons Plumbing and Septic and when our old trailer broke (not a Big Tex), we had to have something new, dependable and we needed it now! Upon arrival at Big Tex McDonough, Brandi met me at the door with great enthusiasm. I told her what I needed to haul our excavator. She showed me some models they had in stock, great inventory selection by the way. Without hesitation Brandi answered all of my questions about all the models she showed me. Her knowledge of the inventory and how it would apply to what we were hauling was absolutely impressive. Brandi put me on a Big Tex 14ET, finalized the sale and I was gone with our new trailer in less than an hour. We will be buying more equipment in the future and it will definitely be from Big Tex McDonough. I highly recommend Big Tex for all your trailering needs. Bravo Brandi!
Im starting my own business and finding a trailer was the last piece to the puzzle. I stopped by Big Tex to see if they could give me advice on which trailer would fit my needs. I spoke with Brandi and she gave me multiple options to choose from. She educated me on the CDL and non CDL requirements for trailers, she walked me around the yard to show me my different options and really helped me understand what I was looking at. I am happy with my selection. Thank you to the Mcdonough Team for helping get my business rolling.
I paid for a rental trailer through Big Tex for a month. We signed a rental agreement under the impression that the trailer has been well maintained and ready for use. Three days later the trailers hub came off of the tire and the trailer started smoking while en route to deliver a load. Upon professional diagnostic all of the tire hubs were all empty and dry which put my driver and others on the road in a very dangerous position. Upon contacting big Tex a man named Scott over the Savannah GA and McDonough GA locations contacted me and stated they will not be paying to repair the rented trailer. He then proceeded to send a tow truck taking the trailer after repairs had been made with another companies equipment on it and refused to give my money back. This man represents this company and hes beyond unethical and committed an illegal act. He stated that he is corporate and there is no one I can contact. This is a disservice and businesses should not be operated in this manor. Now they have another companies equipment illegally and are not releasing it because I refuse to pay for damages that my company did not do.
It was a pleasure doing business with Scott, he closed our transaction for purchasing a 22GN 35x5 trailer smoothly! We inquired about our trailer when business was closed on their website and Scott called us the next morning letting us know he just received the trailer we were looking for! Scott stayed after business hours to close our transaction, he is professional and knowledgeable of the products he sales! My husband and I highly recommend Scott for all your trailer needs! Thank you Scott!
The trailer that I wanted was not available locally so I had to look for it online. Big Tex Trailer Worlds website was pretty EZ to navigate. I found the trailer I was looking for over 3 hours away in McDonough. Purchased over the phone. Brandi answered all my questions and helped me through the process and did offer delivery. Figured I would save a few $ so I drove up to store to pick up trailer and finish paperwork. They were fast! By the time I finished the paperwork the trailer was connected to the truck. I walked to the truck - they help me with all of the safety check - showed me all of the extra features that the trailer had. I was in and out in less that thirty minutes. Awesome!(Looking at gas and drive time - If I had to do it again I would have them deliver it.)
Great service received from the Big Tex family. My company purchased a 14GN from Scott Hall, who is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. To be a new logistics company, Scott provided myself and my partners with information that we didn’t even think about prior to visiting his location. Would definitely recommend to others and will definitely return to purchase more trailers for our growing fleet.
General Manager Scott was purely the best to work with. He is a true professional and understands customer service compared to that of a CEO of a Fortune 500 company. Also Chad in service is one of the most customer friendly, serving, knowledgeable workers I have met. If every business had employees like these commerce would be much more efficient. They truly deserve the best compensation!
Recently purchased a trailer from Big Tex - McDonough and I was very thankful to have come to this location. I was helped by Scott and being a new entry into the trucking industry he was very informative and answered all questions we had. He provided information that he knew we would need to know even though we didnt ask. Very proactive and knowledgable. Also the financing process was very quick and easy. Definitely would recommend to others.
I was so greatfull for such a overwhelming good service. Let me start off by saying Scott was patient, understanding and curious person Ive come across in a while while Brandy was super helpful, knowledgeable .she took her time to explain all i need to know about the trailer and helped me more than expected even though I showed up at the closing time.she the got Jordan to help me out and he was more than your average worker ,he went above and beyond to make sure all the was well and notice a small peice was missing and he then passionately went and got one from the back to make sure the trailer was 100 so that makes me feel so good buying from big tex. These guys and ladies are not just working for a paycheck, you can tell that they love and enjoy what they do and for that I am greatfull and as a business you should be as well having them represent the company. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH.SCOTTBRANDYJORDAN.LIKE WE SAY WHERE I AM FROM .ONE LOVE ONE FAMILY.
Came in and bought a 22GN. Scott was very informative and he really put forth an effort to make me feel comfortable about my purchase. He was not pushy at all like most salesmen. I really appreciate his professonalism. I will definitely recommend this place and Scott as your salesman.
Awesome service and friendly staff. I went in to get a trailer and was amazed by the efficiency and quality of service. Scott did a great job explaining things to me and keeping me informed with their equipment and sales process. I will be returning again for my next trailer.
Scott Hall was fantastic, professional, and patient with full attention to detail. We purchased a 6x12 covered cargo trailer for our Trail Life USA / Salem Baptist Church group. Great price, great service, and a professional environment. We will definitely recommend Big Tex Trailer World to friends and family.
Scott hall ... sales person he is a very professional salesman in a very good way he handled everything very smooth very pleasant person to work with.Ps . I bought a ready and trailer two years ago now I bought another one i’m always going back there .Scott hall is the man
Went in on Saturday and told the lady what I was looking for she pointed me in the right direction and I left with the trailer...not sure what their names were but the only lady and only gentleman that was there were excellent very friendly and professional ill def do business with them again...thanks for a good experience to the 2 that was working on 12-18-21
At first I was calling every Big Tex dealer within a 200 mile radius and seemed like no one wanted to help me find what I was looking for. Got in touch with trailer world in Mcdonough Ga and Mr. Scott Hall was more than happy to help me search for said trailer. Very respectable and trusty people in McDonough, highly recommended!!
Tom in the service department was awesome. We have a older unconventional trailer that was hard to find parts for. Tom spent a great deal of time and effort in improving and bringing it up to speed. He and his department went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. We would not hesitate to recommend their service department to anyone for trailer service or needs. Thank you for great service and a positive attitude throughout the process.
I wanted just the right trailer. I had a very specific use in mind, but where to go to get it was the daunting question. Now that its all over I can give a great big recommendation to Big Tex Trailer in McDonough. I dealt with Alan and he was fantastic in every way. I shopped several places in my local area, I found him to be the most knowledgeable. He spent many years working in South Georgia where they make the trailers so he knows them inside and out and was able to direct me in getting the right balance between price and quality. This is Memorial Day weekend. The trailer was supposed to have been delivered Thursday, but something happened and the delivery didnt happen. I told him I had to have it for this weekend and he worked all day to find another driver to deliver it. I guess all the drivers were ready to call it quits for the weekend so he got in his own truck after working all day Friday, drove to South Georgia, and brought it up himself to make sure he followed through on his commitment. Thats old fashioned service for ya now, and it cant be beat. Thanks Alan!!!
Just wanted to say that Michelle was 100% helpful to me from the first telephone call I made to the follow-up on the documents and paperwork. I drove 3 hours from North Carolina to do business with them. Alan did a great job of getting my Aluma TK-1 trailer road-worthy and ready to roll off the lot. After I left the lot with my trailer, I had some issues, not their fault in the least, that both Michelle and Alan helped me resolve very quickly and timely. The folks were truthful and straightforward with me. They totally honored their advertised, internet asking prices. It was a 100% positive experience. I owe a big Thank you to them both! Slim from N. C.
I was in need of a trailer to meet a deadline that was going to be impossible. The staff was very busy on a Saturday, but made every effort to get me the trailer I needed, and it was a rental, not a purchase. Jacob helped me tremendously and Chris was great too. We signed the paperwork 5 minutes after they closed and they were all smiles. That is what customer service is all about, the customer. I couldnt be happier and will definitely be back the next time I need a trailer other than the two I already own. Great job guys!
If you’re considering doing business with Big Tex in McDonough, consider my experience as a warning to stay far far away!Early December I walk in (about 30 min to closing) and meet Angela Hill. Very nice at first, but she was on her way out as I was allowed to look around the lot. Got her card from a gentlemen inside and gave a call the following day with a few questions about customizing a trailer. She promised me to forward my questions to the manufacturer and would give me a call the next day. 2 days go by I forced to call back myself. Another male answers and says she left early for the day... he wrote down my questions and promised to call me back with the info.Another 2 days go by and not any type of correspondence from Big Tex. So I call again. It’s Angela. After a series of apologies and excuses she finally tells me to email her the questions to forward to the manufacturer for a quote. To my surprise I get the quote back within a few hours. However it’s not broken down or itemized so it would be impossible to price out each option and decided what I wanted to come from the manufacturer or what would be more cost effective to do myself. I call Angela back and ask for a detailed quote ASAP so that we could order this trailer and I’d get it in the 4-6 week window. An entire month goes by I receive no email no phone calls. Today I call and it seems as if she has totally forgot about me. Asking me the same basic questions about the trailer I was looking for AFTER giving her my email and seeing the correspondence we’ve had a month ago. Huge and complete waste of time dealing with her.I ask to speak with the manager I give him a run down of my experience and inform him why I’ve chosen to not do buisness with Big Tex. To which he replied ‘well alright’.Based on my experience it’s very clear to me the companies employees do not really care about its potential customers. How do you think they’ll treat you once you buy from them?! Based on many bad reviews here many people echo the same thing - Big Tex in Mcdounogh has HORRIBLE customer service!
I normally do not leave reviews, but in this case I felt it was well deserved.. I’m a local business owner and had an axle break of one of my trailers..I had never been to this location.. When I arrived I was told to speak with Tom in service..I approached Tom, who was clearly extremely busy .. Tom asked how he could help? I explained my problem and that I was unable to find axle..Tom stopped what he was doing came over and helped me measure my trailer, showed me the correct way to measure a replacement axle.Took the time to point out a few other issues of wear and tear on the trailer and advised how best those could be repaired...When the axle I needed was not in stock he got on his phone and researched the quickest possible way for me to get the axle I needed...Thanks again Tom ...I’ll definitely return for and future repairs...
I went into this establishment today October 18,2017, to purchase a trailer. I picked out the trailer I was interested in and went inside the office. When I walked into the office with my child. I was not greeted. I approached a gentleman sitting in an office. But he was too busy texting to assist me with my purchase. Their prices are great, but the customer service is incredibly lacking. I will be taking my business to someone that wants to earn it.
Ive been to the place 3 times now. Once to purchase a new car hauler an the other 2 times were to get some work on a trailer I already had. The car hauler has shorted wiring within a month of ownership an the trailer I had work on was the poorest quality of work Ive ever seen. It was taken in originally for the gate to be repaired an was quoted 100$ for the work an two weeks later when they called an said it was done I was informed that my bill was now 340$ in which I was never previously informed of. Went to pick the trailer up an the work done was appalling. Welds barely penetrating the metal. Bare metal unpainted where they forgot to cover it. The metal they used to reinforce the gate was completely rusted and unpainted. Very displeased with my experience. Will not return or recomend to anyone.
Very good pricing. Thousands less than other vendors of the same trailers. They do not charge sales tax for out-of-state purchasers. However, they got my order wrong twice. Finally accepted the trailer even though it was not what I ordered. Takes up to 6 weeks to custom order trailers at peak season. Give it plenty of time and have them check the configuration before you pick it up. If you can, order far enough in advance to correct any mistakes the manufacturer makes on your order
Customer service is non existing! While I understand you can view their inventory without assistance, however they should have a big sign that state this. Once we looked over the inventory we found a trailer we were interested in purchasing. We had to look for someone for 15mins. Once we found the lady, she was with another customer, but there was no greeting saying well be right with you nothing! Once she finally got to us, no enthusiasm what so ever! Im big on customer service! I wouldnt spend a dime there on that alone!
Terrible experience at big Tex McDonough, GA. They are not honest at all. Tom told me it was $200 flat rate to put a 7,000 lb axle on my trailer. When I asked what the other $131 was for I was told because I didnt have an appointment. Shop hourly rate is $85 an hour. When they typed up the bill it was for 3.9 hours of work. It took 1. 5 hours to repair the trailer which is why they charge a flat rate. When I spoke to Allen that runs this location he told me they worked on the trailer from 10am-1pm. That was a lie on time but either way that still isnt 3.9 hours. They charged me $664 for the axle with no springs. At the big text dealer I use for sales and service in TN the cost of the axle is $575 with springs. This place is an embarrassment to the Big Tex name. I bought 2 brand new trailers from big Tex but I can honestly say I wouldnt recommend this location to anyone. I believe my first post was removed. I also just received a phone call and message from Allen on 4/25/17 asking me to remove my public post. They deleted my fb review so Im reviewing here for people to know the truth about how dishonest this business is. Update on 4/27/17 they wont admit to being wrong or dishonest yet they are supposed to refund part of my money for overpayment.
If there is anyone who knows trailers, it is Alan Gamble! He sold me a trailer in 2014 that I am still happy with from another dealer he was working for at that time. The next trailer I buy will be from Alan too. The best HR decision Big Tex made was to hire Alan Gamble! Just like the strong trailers Big Tex builds, Alan is a keeper.
Dont buy a Big Tex trailer unless you want to buy a bad product. Horrible customer service.Still waiting on my trailer to be repaired while it was still under warranty. Going on three weeks now even though I was told two days.Contact me before purchasing, I wish I had purchased a Hooper now.Kevin LivingstonLivingston Landscaping
The Only place in Atlanta to buy a trailer !!! went to a couple of other dealers first, and the product was way to high & quality was way too low,.. A buddy told me to go to Big Tex, but I thought they were probably a little bit out of my price range, I was wrong !!!, really good prices , they even fixed the lights on my truck , when the trailer lights did not work, it was no fault of the trailer , had some wiring issues with my truck, they fixed it at no charge, can’t believe they have any bad reviews, ?? Just goes to prove you can’t make everyone happy,.. defiantly a great experience ,.. Thanks James
I’m starting to think this place is either poorly ran or they don’t like certain customers. A while back I went in to purchase a new enclosed trailer and the customer service was so poor that I drove all the way to Marietta to buy one. I decided to give the Mcdonough another shot of earning my business by repairing my trailer again they failed. My trailer sat there for over 2 weeks without anything been done plus no one returned my phone calls.. I picked up my trailer today .. Don’t go there the customer service in Marietta is worth the 1:00 drive. I wanted to bring this to the attention of management so I called and I could tell by the guy’s tone he couldn’t care less.. I’m in the market for a larger trailer which I will buy from another dealer.
Called them and told them exactly what I needed, a gray spare wheel and tire for a tandem dual axle goose neck, they said yes we have it in stock. Once I get there (more than 60 miles away), nope we dont have that one and it should be on the truck coming on Tuesday. I needed it now, so I asked if the Marietta store might have it? They say oh yeah Im sure they have it, well I call the Marietta store and nope, they dont have it either only the black rim and after I quiz them even more, it turns out that none of the stores in Georgai can get them in gray right now only the black ones that come on the new trailers. Pitiful customer service.
I recall my boyfriend telling me this story on one of our first few dates and I laughed so hard that I knew I had to share it.He was moving yard equipment from his house to his best friends. However, there was too much to put in his truck, and he didnt want to make multiple trips. So he borrowed a trailer from his best friends brother. Something went wrong though. The trailer disconnected when he was driving. It wasnt the companys fault, though. It was his own--he didnt attach it correctly. Anyway, the trailer went off to the side of the road and he didnt notice. Many minutes later, he finally noticed and turned back around. When he inspected the trailer with the yard equipment on the shoulder of the street, none of the equipment was hurt. The trailer, however, had many small dents (from hitting signs & poles)--and a large dent. He freaked out and knew he didnt want to tell his best friends brother that he wrecked the trailer. He located the nearest Big Tex trailer-store, which was this one. He reattached the trailer--triple checking it was on right this time--and slowly drove to the store. There, he was met with an old man who was apparently the assistant manager or something (I cant remember that detail). The man just laughed when my boyfriend told him what happened and how he didnt want to tell his best friend or his brother. However, the man understood (as he had gone through something similar) and gave him a large discount on a new trailer.
I would give them negative points if I could was going up there to purchase with cash money asked a question about getting ac unit on trailer and mechanic said he charge me double cause my Auburn T-shirt mind u my dad played football for Auburn and just passed away from esophageal cancer

2022-02-15I usually don’t leave reviews but felt this was needed. I came in just pricing and dreaming. I was greeted by Scott who indulged me with pricing and information. Even after telling him I wouldn’t be buying today he continued to give me his undivided attention. This type of old school service is what is missing in most businesses today. I was not just a number I was a person. Thanks for making me feel at home with conversation and a half way decent cup of coffee!!

2022-06-23Great customer service. Got in and out with a new trailer in no time. They keep a huge selection in stock. Everywhere else had very few trailers in stock and said 2-3months for one to come in. Really like the Rice trailers. I’ll be back here.Thank you

2022-04-24Scott is unprofessional and they Have a horrible service departmentI won’t be emailing you and explaining…this is a review on your business and its practices. Therefore it’s transparent. My 14gn running lights weren’t working, One of the runningboards was broken down the middle, and The bolt that holds the pivot bar on mega ramps was broke off. After $400 and nearly 4 weeks in the shop I came to pick up my trailer and my jaw dropped when the manager Scott told “ we plugged up the lights they worked. It must be your truck”Turns out it was a exposed wire that kept blowing fuse. Its laughable you can claim you inspected and tested the lights. They did fix the bolt , it broke again within days. Not the fault of the service department but this sheds light to the quality of your trailers. They did not fix boardThey did not fix lightsOut of operation for nearly 4 weeksI still had to pay labor (bolt or how many times you move my trailer around the yard before getting around to fix it?)it took big Tex nearly 4 weeks to fix a bolt!My decision to purchase a big tex trailer and to trust their employees and the “warranty’s” they offer has been an overall negative experience. If you’re in the market for a trailer there’s plenty of other options. I wish I could return mine
