Overall, great food in a great location. This place is worth visiting to grab lunch, dinner, or a very late meal on weekends. This place is a small market/convenience store that sells some groceries, but I enjoy it for its menu. They cook Indian food such as curry, vindaloo, and naan, and offer meat selections such as goat, lamb, beef and chicken. I prefer goat vindaloo with naan, but beef or chicken vindaloo is also good. They can make it mild to very spicy... on their scale of 1-10, I havent been past 6. If you like spicy food and can tolerate spiciness well, I recommend starting at 5.It is easily accessible on Buford Highway. There is plenty of parking during the day. At night on the weekends, the adjacent night club makes the parking lot a little crowded, but access is still easy. This place is open late on the weekends if you need to grab something at night. The staff is very friendly. Its best to call in your order or make an order through their website. You can also order through Grubhub, but phone is quickest. They can complete your order in ~10 minutes, the service is quite fast.
I ordered from Uber Eats, but given the price point, it is one of the best restaurants I have eaten from!Massive respect for the owner to not over-charge for anything and still serving quality food!I hope this restaurant gets the attention it deserves, and maintains its quality!
Absolutely love this place, I usually door dash it but yesterday I went in person. The service is amazing, they were all so kind to me and constantly checked on me. I also loved it because being that I’m from the philly area, it gave corner store type of restaurant vibes so if you are familiar with that, you’ll know exactly what i’m talking about. I will always continue eating here :)
Biswas has great food with some of the best prices in town! We always get their combo meal and are amazed by the quantity and quality of food that is given. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and picking up food is always fast and easy. Would highly recommend if dining on Buford!
Very friendly people! The chicken biryani was very good and authentic. I can tell that the chicken was halal and not factory farmed. Excellent value for the price as well since the portion was large for roughly $7 after tax. This is much cheaper than other Indian restaurants in this area. The biryani also came with an egg, rice pudding, and raita. I’m going to get extra raita next time to pour over my biryani. It really balances the spice. I was too hungry to get a picture of the food before I ate it lol but I will post one next time.
Food is 🔥🔥🔥 Especially the butter chicken! It’s the best in Atlanta! I absolutely love this place, it’s like a hidden gem. I’m from NY so we are really picky about quality food, this place definitely hits the spot and some. If you are ever in Atlanta area, this place is a must. Also the staff are very friendly and polite.
They have the best goat biryani in entire Atlanta. The meat is fresh, tender and juicy. Unbelievably good! I hope they maintain the same quality going forward and not drop their standards like many other restaurants do. I highly recommend everyone to try goat biryani at this place. The staff were friendly and courteous.
Prices are great. But the food we ordered was not good at all. The chicken tikka masala had no taste. I literally thought “I must have covid because I can’t taste anything.”Maybe it was a bad night or maybe the other dishes are better but the tikka masala lacked flavor and the sauce was thin and watery.
Ordered from here for delivery.Portions were good for the price but the food had no taste. It was completely bland and the chicken tikka was a little gelatinous like they had used some sort of thickener.Samosas were goodChicken 65 - blandChicken tikka - gelatinous, bland but somehow bright red like they had used food coloring in the absence of spices.Saag paneer - okay but also blandI almost wanted to stick everything back on the stove and add spices to it. It’s a shame because the ingredients seemed okay, delivery was prompt, and prices are good so I was hoping to really like this spot!
You can find a wonderful Indian meal at Biswas Cafe at. 2853 Buford Highway, just off North Druid Hills. The first time I ordered thru Grubhub but if you are not too far from Buford highway dropping in saves delivery fees and is faster. Biswas ,the chef and perhaps the owner,is a charming Indian gentleman who gave me free rice pudding when I couldnt decide between it and the Gulab Jamun which looks like a dunkin donut but tasted a million times better. .For my entree I ordered the Baingan Bhorta, eggplant in a creamy curry sauce. Its the same thing I ordered the first time. It is fabulous and wont make you gain any weight. The restaurant. only has 2 tables so pickup is a good idea. Extremely reasonable prices.
I ordered through Uber eats. The packaging was amazing. The speed was fantastic. Maybe too fast. They biryani was ok but very spicy. No problem there. Should have gotten the bone out chicken. The naan was ok.The butter chicken was terrible. It tasted like a bowl of hot frosting with chicken in it. I’ve never had a dinner dish that tasted like straight sugar or corn syrup before. I contacted Uber eats but there’s no send back or refund policy since it was delivered. I would at least like to share so maybe they can fix it. It was so sweet I couldn’t even enjoy the biryani because my taste buds were all off.I wouldn’t order there again.UPDATE::: My daughter ordered Uber eats from here not knowing I had already endured this mess before. It is NOT BETTER. it’s the same. The butter chicken tastes like breakfast syrup poured over chicken and seasoned. The naan has NO BUTTER whatsoever and large pieces of garlic baked in it to the point that all you taste is garlic. This place is beyond terrible when you order Togo food. I’m lowering my star rating. I wish I could give negative stars.

2022-04-01My experience with the restaurant and grocery store was amazing! My husband and I went in for a quick dinner. The restaurant does mostly take out but the seating is spacious and the service is attentive. We ordered the chicken biryani, vegetable curry, tarka daal, and naan. We ordered a spicy level seven which was perfect if you enjoy spicy food. We were treated with some delicious rice pudding at the end as well! Then, we picked up a few groceries - they have a nice array of halal meat, south Asian spices, and snacks. The owner and staff were all very welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend!

2022-03-26My boyfriend and I ordered takeout from here and it was delicious! We’ve been looking for an Indian restaurant around the area and I think we’ve found it, also the owners are really sweet and even wrapped up our food to keep it from spilling. Definitely would recommend trying their take out!

2022-06-07Im here right now and I got the malagatawny soup + naan and a mango lassi. So good! The mango lassi was perfect and the soup and naan complemented each other well. Besides the food, everyone here is super nice. Would definitely recommend for authentic and affordable Indian food. Plus the fact that its tucked away in an Indian grocery store makes you feel like youre having a unique dining experience. Definitely coming back 😋
