My daughter has lived at Bixby for 7 months. She’s been happy until now. Ten days ago the power went out in her apartment, they have yet to fix the problem. They keep giving her and her roommates excuses! It’s ridiculous and extremely inconvenient and unacceptable!! Do not rent from here!!
The staff at this property is AMAZING!!!! A few weeks ago Nyia Darden, and Timyus House helped both of my sons while we avoided potential issues due to misinformation provided by employees who no longer were employed by the Bixby. There patience, knowledge, and willingness to help us was greatly appreciated.
As a visitor of a tenant, I can say that a couple of the front staff are Horrible! On top of giving you a smelly fish stank face when you come in, they are also short and dismissive on the phone. These students are missing a huge opportunity to network. Every single visitor or student tenant is a connection for your next job opportunity, or if seeking entrepreneurship, a future business partner or the person to build your website.
Don’t even bother trying to live here. This place may look great from the outside, but it’s not. Trash rooms are always overflowing, causing fruit flies to get in our unit. The parking deck has so many blind spots so you can’t see other cars around corners, which caused so many accidents. But here is the best part: my apartment, among a few others this year, was broken into a few months ago, and management hasn’t done anything about it. We’re lucky to have a door that locks now, but it took them almost a week to fix it, so we couldn’t even sleep in our unit for fear of our lives. I had to walk into my unit by kicking open the door while holding pepper spray to make sure someone wasn’t waiting on the other side of the door. There is no reason something this serious shouldn’t have been fixed sooner. I pay to live here, and I should not have had to be afraid to even walk into my unit.
Nyia Dennard at the front desk was so helpful in terms of answering questions; she gave me and a friend of mine a tour of room we were looking to move into and not only did she make me laugh, she really made me excited to move. Very personable staff with nice, clean living arrangements.
It has been a rough time since the management change (even before that honestly). Been charged fees that we were told they told us would happen when nobody in my unit received a call, email or anything and that’s annoying. I have been trying to get my freezer fixed since move in. Most the amenities are broken. Door handles to get in from the parking garage have been missing for months and the mail package system parcel pending hasn’t worked in about a month. Wifi also literally doesn’t work like 75% of the time and they just don’t care i tried talking to them about that for 2 months before I just gave up. The staff is nice but I wouldn’t want to live here again.
I enjoy living here and feel that its the perfect location for ksu students. Which makes me disappointed because Bixby has potential and their 1st year was great. Unfortunately, if it wasnt for the fact that residents and plumbing is low on their priority list, this would probably get 5 stars.. If you find that your shower is severely cracked upon move in, youll be paying 3 months worth of expensive rent AND you wont be able to use your shower. So get roommates instead so you can have a shower to go to...And they will still charge you for rent and utilities, give you a $100 gift card in replacement of my safety, health and the inconvenience they caused. Oh and youll be asked to not use the shower and youll have a broken shower for 2 months before you get a replacement. Even then, youll have to wait weeks (even after reminding them everyday) before they even consider coming back to complete the wall which by the way are exposed as well as insulation being exposed in a space where moisture is dominant. 34 years of experience in maintenance yet, cant even complete a job correctly or have it done before a new tenant moves in.. (thats why theres move out inspections..) New management sounded exciting BUT...theyre clueless, confrontational and lazy. Its all about a dollar for them. Id be cautious living here given that Bixby doesnt care about the residents nor their plumbing. Plumbing is not a top priority so black mold will be infested in their walls. Seems deadly..They MIGHT issue you a vacant unit to shower in, until you go to use the shower and you walk in on someone who has moved in. Security issue...Youll definitely have to file with code enforcement and rightfully fight endlessly with Bixby about providing utilities since they have trouble doing that in the first place. Imagine if it was you being walked in on...Just imagine if this was you paying rent and utilities without a shower or a complete bathroom for that matter. If you decide to live here, thats great and good luck but make sure you know your tenant rights and have your own personal contractor team to do your repairs and bill Bixby instead. Theyll tell you to do that anyways.-also be aware that your tenant portal will not be confidential as student(s) who work at the office tend to share classified info to the public....as well as one or many of them may walk into your apartment unannounced because they have the keys...yikes, another security issue...
The front service people are insanely nice. I lived here for 1 year and it was great! I loved the gym and the pool was huge and it has a TV attached. When I needed help on any questions, Mark from the front desk did everything he could to help. Plus I love that my dog has a walking space with doggy bags outside. I totally recommend and I had the best college experience!
So I was gonna wait until I moved out to put a review on here just to see if things get better and they haven’t. With what I have experienced so far with Bixby the staff tries their best to accommodate everyone and their needs (which I appreciate) but Bixby was built way too fast and was thrown together. They are still constructing, putting carpet in different places, and my apartment came with issues I still have to deal with. My rent is very expensive for everything to not work or to have to constantly deal with problems.I have fixed a lot of problems I put into the portal because they take way too long to fix them or even acknowledge you. I can’t even vacuum or iron without my power going out because my breaker gets tripped. My bedroom door doesn’t even fully close because they put the hinges on wrong which is a safety issue. The neighbors can be loud at times which is understandable because it is college housing but it shouldn’t be consistent. There shouldn’t be throw up everywhere and it shouldn’t smell like dog pee and poop in the back stairwells.I was really forward to moving here in the past, but it was a disappointment. If you like the smell of dog pee and poop and paying for expensive housing/pet rent Bixby is the right place for you.
My daughter just moved into this apartment complex. I would not recommend it to anyone. All the reviews posted about the issues in the building are accurate. If I had to guess, Id say the positive reviews posted, were done by the office staff. My daughter has seen bugs in her unit, the Wifi wasnt working, causing her to miss lectures. We paid for parking and werent assigned a parking spot until a week after she moved in, and we were only given a spot because I called the leasing office and told them we wanted our money back for parking. Even after getting assigned our reserved spot, my daughter has not been able to use it because other residents park in her spot and the complex doesnt have towing or anything else in place to help resolve this issue. The leasing office is not always responsive. Sometimes they respond, sometimes they dont. I was told my daughter would get a $100 credit for the issues we went through on move-in day, and now Im being told she wont get the credit. I asked for a credit to our account for parking for the month of August since they didnt assign her spot when she moved in, then when it was assigned she couldnt park there because other residents were parking in her spot and there was no way to have them towed, they told me no. Dont waste your time or money on this place. It was put together in a rush and completely unorganized. Also, when my daughter signed her lease, she was told shed get a $200 gift card when she moved in. She never got it.
Property manager will not take your call. If you are in a sorority or fraternity and you need to move in a few days early they will not accommodate you. Oh, but you must pay August 1st but can only move in August 14th. When we originally signed our lease we told them that we would need an earlier move in date. Apparently that is not something they can do. Everyone is expected to move in two days before school starts. The property is nice, the front office staff... not so much. I called the main number to ask again about the move in date. The girl on the phone put me on mute, no compassion at all and taking me off mute I heard her snickering about me. Send an email... and they will see what they can do. They really dont care about the people. Management hides behind the students answering the phone. Finally got a call back and its still the same. Find somewhere else to live.
This apartment complex is the worst. Yes it is modern and new and the apartment themselves look nice. However, the trash rooms for the past couple of months on every floor fill up with trash. It gets to the point where if you kick over a pile of trash a swarm of fruit flies comes out. The new management has tried addressing the problem with a third trash pickup day. We will see how that works out.
I love living here at Bixby. If there’s ever a problem the staff does what they can to make the residents happy. The staff here is so kind. Anytime I email about a concern they get back to me within a timely manner and are nothing short of delightful. Juliana is one of the leasing agents and she specifically is always a pleasure to talk to! 10/10 recommend Bixby!
This place is absurdly expensive for what we ended up getting. The individual apartment isnt bad, but it does not feel worth $815 every month. It is an okay apartment to live in if you ignore the maintenance issues and parking deck. There are a lot of issues that arent addressed.During the building construction Bixby kept advertising that the rooms were going to be huge and much bigger than any other dorm or living place in KSU or associated with them. People asked for pictures, measurements, etc just to get an idea of how big the rooms were going to be. The rooms are small. It would not have been an issue if they just would have advertised their rooms as is instead of lying and making their rooms seem so big that it was going to be worth $815. Pretty much can only fit the bed and the desk they provide in the D1 rooms. When we were meant to move in, they failed to announce that they were delaying the move in day times until after a bunch of kids showed up ready to move in because they failed to have the fire marshal inspect parts of the building and needed that paperwork. When we finally moved in there were scuffs in the flooring, uneven flooring, dents/scratches/missing paint on the walls. The cable is awful quality and you get like 2 channels but they always say that its being worked on, but its been over 3 months and the cable tv quality is trash. Other apps like Netflix and Youtube work fine. Also, there was no wifi for several days after move in, and again recently due to a storm we lost power in the building and it took them over 24 hours to even fix the wifi causing a lot of students to miss classes or scramble to leave the building to find wifi somewhere else. In the D1 rooms there is not a lot of space for people to put their stuff in the kitchen. There is no pantry, limited cabinet space, no closet for cleaning stuff like a vacuum or broom. The washer and dryer are stuffed into a cramped little room with very little space to put anything. The water pressure and temperature went from excellent to poor very quickly and has not improved much. The parking deck is awful and cramped and does not feel safe. There is no visibility going around the sharp corners and people will fly around them with no regard for others. People have already gotten into accidents, scraped their cars on the corners, and have had many close calls on crashing into other people because the area to go up and down is tiny and does not fit 2 cars well. It took them 3 months to finally put mirrors at the corners to provide visibility, but to me its a little too late because I do not feel safe going up the parking deck. I would rather walk up 4 flights of stairs from guest parking than park in the deck.We have already had a lot of issues with the apartment and the maintenance staff is not super helpful. Each interactions comes off as them looking down on me for trying to fix the apartment issues. The humidity in our apartment is absolutely absurd 90% humidity at times with no explanation of why other than being told to constantly run the AC at 70 degrees 24/7 - which we have to pay overages for if we go over our electricity limit. Our dryer stoped drying clothes so I asked if the issues had to involve the back vent being squished causing the dryer to overheat but not dry our clothes and they kept saying no its not that. its perfectly fine. No it cant be what you said. I know what Im talking about because I have a degree in this Turns out I was the one who was correct and all I had to do was a simple google search. Weve had bugs in our apartment, mold growing on our plant pots due to the humidity, our air filter was brown after only being here 3 months.Overall, the apartment has been more trouble than its worth. Please be mindful and act accordingly.
I’m leaving this review to warn people, DO NOT live here. There are countless problems in what is a brand new apartment.- They completely messed up my room preferences which they ensured would perfect since I was one of the first hundred people to sign when I signed OCTOBER 9TH. Then, they could not fix their mistake when I addressed it because they would not move me with the roommates I had chosen, only me by myself.- I was supposed to receive gift cards for signing early AND referring two people (3 incentives total), yet I only received one weird online gift card. Same for my roommate who was also supposed to receive a gift card and never got one.- This apartment is extremely overpriced for what is here. Nothing in the complex is finished. They have been doing construction since move-in day which was already pushed back because construction took forever. The walls weren’t even painted when we moved in. August rent was NOT prorated like other apartments would do, so we were only here for 15 days in August yet had to pay the ENTIRE month’s rent.- These are extremely tiny units and rooms. This is the smallest apartment I’ve lived in since living in student housing. The bedrooms are soooo small. My roommate’s room doesn’t even have enough wall space for a tv. They sold and dream when in reality this apartment is actually trash compared to its competitors in the area. The walls are paper thin. And they’re not your average thin apartment walls, these are horrible. You can hear every person around you, you can hear everyone’s shower and any other water running, and can clearly hear every single word of conversations. The apartments are SOOOOO humid, it’s disgusting. It feels like you’re walking into the Amazon rainforest when you walk into your unit.- There is construction at 8 am DIRECTLY UNDERNEATH MY HEAD in the retail space below?! IT IS THE LOUDEST NOISE I HAVE EVER HEARD AND CONTINUES FOR HOURS ON END. They cannot be serious?! And finishing touches are still happening throughout the building as I’m typing this (it is MAY). For example, we didnt get screens in our windows until April.- While the leasing office agents are extremely nice, they do not wear masks and and haven’t the entirety of me living here (since August 2020) as if we are not in a pandemic.- There were bugs as soon as I moved in. I went to the leasing office 4 times about it, nothing happened.- Maintenance takes forever and when they finally do come, they fix nothing and mark it as completed.- The internet did not work for 3 weeks and we had to go to other complexes to do homework.- All the amenities close when the leasing office closes at 6. What’s up with that?- People let their animals urinate in the stairwells, on the elevators, etc. and nothing is done about it.- The fans in the bedrooms only operate on one speed because they decided not to give us a dial to change it. Sova has these same exact fans and a dial on the light switch to change the speed.- There isn’t enough parking AT ALL (which is why there are so many compact spaces because they knew it wasn’t enough space when they built it) and you can’t park outside by the leasing office or you’ll get towed. THEY ALSO TOW CARS INSIDE THE GARAGE? What sense does that make??? Not to mention how predatory it is to constantly try to get money from college students by towing them. There are only a handful of mirrors in the 5-floor parking garage and they only go up to the second floor. The parking deck is so small, there is almost always an accident when people try to make it around the turns.- I wouldn’t renew my lease here if my life depended on it.- Final takeaway is: I have never hated an apartment complex as much as I hate this one. The builders of this apartment are going to H£LL because we literally live in trash here🥰 Sign anywhere else if you can, and if you already signed... get out before it’s too late! For all this bs, I could have stayed at SOVA for little to no problems, bigger rooms and units.
I havent even moved in yet and I am already not liking it here. The communication is sub par at best, as different employees will tell me completely different things or require me to re-send them things I already gave them. Then they send emails with the actual specifics of what they need, that they shouldve sent the first time around instead of having tenants run in circles. Edit: I stand by what I said, others may have had better communication with the staff, but I did not. However it is nice here so far, but since the road is right outside there is sometimes constant noise of people speeding through so that might be an annoyance to some.
Edit: Everyone (including staff) needs to be better about wearing masks outside of their personal spaces. Just because staff interact with one another every day, does not mean that residents are comfortable being exposed to whatever theyve got. Also, the gym NEVER has anything available to wipe down equipment and the hand sanitizer is rarely filled. We are in the middle of a pandemic. Just because you work where you live (and thats not even everyone), doesnt make this place one huge bubble.Update: This place is charging more than its worth. The paint on the walls is cheap and the so are the wires in the walls. The fire alarm goes off for too long and too often (especially considering weve never had a fire). Also, almost none of the activities and perks of living here that were promised actually happened during the 11 months Ive been here. If you are someone who knows youre looking to stay with 3-5 other people that you know, I would highly suggest looking into the other student apartments (that are just as new) near here that have better reviews/higher ratings.
This place just sucks. wifi rarely works, and maintenance takes months to respond to anything. front office staff is nice enough, but I honestly think the students working here could do better running the place than the actual management. then they say that they care about customer satisfaction. smh. living on campus is better than bixby.
This place isnt even worth one star, it is horrible. I dont even know where to start. First of all, the rate of my rent was raised $100 from the time I first signed the lease. They also charged a full month of rent for August and we moved in halfway through the month. The only thing that this place cares about is taking your money.Second, move in day was disorganized and not communicated well. When I showed up for my 10:00am move in time, I was told that it would be delayed due to the fact that the fire marshal was still inspecting the Bixby. There was no prior communication of this. They delayed to move-in time to 4:00pm. However, it was ready before then and they did not communicate that, my roommates told me. They tried to make it better by adding a $100 credit to our account but I didnt receive mine until October. I moved to the Bixby in August.Third, the staff here and the customer service representatives are not very helpful. I asked the same question over the phone and via email and received conflicting answers for the same question. They dont respond to emails and it took them months to get a working phone number.Fourth, the parking deck is not safe. You cannot see past the corners of the sharp turns, and people speed around these corners with no regards for others. I have personally been involved in many close-call head-on collisions and I have seen a few happen. Someone hit my roommates car coming around one of those corners. I used to have a reserved parking spot but I got rid of it because other residents parked their and were not towed.Fifth, it is extremely apparent that the construction of this building was rushed. One of my roommates tried to nail something into her wall and the wall began to crumble where she put the nail. The insulation is terrible and does not work the way it is supposed to. The wifi to this day still does not work properly. The trash chute was also broken for about a month.TLDR: It looks like a nice place and sounds like a great place in town to be but the Bixby only cares about one thing and that is money. I pay 805 for an apartment worth half of that. Please look somewhere else and do not support a business with such poor standards of quality and service.
UPDATE : I did meet with someone a few months ago to discuss my concerns and he said construction was rushed, and nothing else changed. DO NOT live on first floor. The gaps between baseboards and the floor have led to plenty of ants and millipedes, Bixby will only have pest control come out on Wednesdays, and most companies wont come to apartments unless through management. Fire alarm trips constantly due to technical issues or construction in retail spot, sometimes at 3am. When the fire alarm goes off now most people dont leave their apartments because its almost every other week theres a false alarm. Again, people at the front desk are nice, everything is out of their hands though.---------At first there were little quirks that came with it being a new place (disorganized mail system, parking confusion, bad communication, etc). But rushed construction has become more and more clear.Power in rooms will randomly flip off and require going to fuse box. Not everyday, but when it does happen its multiple times within an hour. Maintainance that came noted that nothing was overloaded, and they could only assume the initial wiring was just not done well. There are gaps between baseboards and the floors, which means those of us on the bottom floor get ants consistently. Even in spaces where food isnt kept. Pest control has had to come to our apartment multiple times. They thought dozens of college students would drop even more money on reserved spaces, so by sundown on weekdays resident parking has very few open, non-reserved, resident spots. But there are plenty of reserved spots unused, even in guest parking.A handle fell off, and it was because the screws used were just the wrong size. There are spots with patchy paint. Scuffs already on wall when we moved in. Even the minor aesthetic issues show it was clearly a rush job.Front desk has been nice, but realistically they cant actually do anything for issues that arent mail related or basic questions. Thats not their fault. But, trying to get a hold of someone who can do something or look into an issue (in my case a question regarding lights) required calling Asset Living corporate. Those directly managing Bixby dont seem to check emails.TLDR: just dont do it. Looks nice, it isnt, its just new. If theyre offering $200 gift cards for those that renew their lease, thats probably not a good sign.
This place is terrible. Our AC has been broken for the last week in the middle of July and they still haven’t fixed it. Our internet was down for a MONTH during the online covid semester, while advertising bixby as “student living”. Nothing ever gets done around here, and whenever you try to talk to someone who can directly help with your problem the front desk tells you that the person is busy or not there. I can’t imagine the building manager and employees in the leasing office are so busy that nothing can get done while also not being able to talk with tenants about issues within their unit. If you’re looking to find somewhere to live check out The Blake.
Since moving in August I haven’t had too many issues. It is pricey yes, but you’re paying for mainly the location and all the amenities that are included. Compared to other off campus student based housing this is one of the best as a whole.1st let’s start off with the land mines (doggy poo) everywhere. All over outside on the grass and many times you can find them scattered inside throughout the building including dog pee. This is not Bixby’s fault, this is due to the lack of owners’ not cleaning up after their dog. The animal fee is on the higher scale, yes but there’s a reason for it. See for yourselves take a midnight stroll throughout the halls you will see.2nd SAFETYThey have a security guard that stays overnight to overlook the apartments. BTW- The security guard has no access to the rooms. 3rd party and they’re simply here to make sure we’re safe. However, the door needs to be fixed. After office hours, there are times where you can easily walk in from the leasing office without needing your key fob because there’s something preventing the door from fully being closed. (STORY TIME) I locked my keys inside my room and was unable to get a hold of anyone after hours. I tried calling the emergency number even pressed the emergency button and no response. I even tried to see if I can open the door with a card. No luck, but that’s good cause the doors are built strong and hard to break in. Luckily I have family that stay 5 mins away and spent the night. The next morning I come to the leasing office, explained the situation and they where able to help me get in my room right away. Since then they’ve updated their telephone system which seems to be a better response system.3rd PARKING GARAGE/PARKINGJust don’t do it. It’s too narrow and not enough room or space to safely maneuver your vehicle. They recently installed mirrors to help with that issue. Save $10/month by parking in the parking lot right next to the Bixby. However, you park at your own risk. I haven’t had any issues besides someone promoting their music on my car and took multiple car washes to come off. WARNING! Don’t park in front of the leasing office after hours. TOWING IS HIGHLY ENFORCED! They towed a visitor of mine and he was fined $175 to get his car back. They are watching in a tow truck right across the street.ConclusionThis is student based living, don’t expect it to be perfect. This is filled with a bunch of college kids trying to enjoy life in the moment no matter the cost. :) I’ve seen throw up, trash, poo, etc on the floor. Bixby does have a cleaning crew come out and clean up each floor. No issues with my apartment besides WiFi and my room door not locking.
EDIT: Electrical wiring was faulty and the breaker would trip 2-3 times a day (hopefully no fires), people leave their trash everywhere and the staff doesnt/cant enforce the rules, the parking deck mirrors constantly shake out of position making going around corners risky. This building was obviously rushed and I feel it will deteriorate over time. About to move out, good luck to whoever comes next lol. Oh and get ready for the fire alarm to go off for no reason 1-2 times every other month and have to deal with that noise for 30 minutes before the fire department comes to turn it off!
If you dont mind the noise and possibly wrecking your car every time you enter the parking deck, Id live here. Unfortunately, I have a nice car and am terrified to enter the parking lot because I always feel as if I am going to get in a wreck. Although it seems safe, it really is not and nonresidents can easily enter the building. A couple weeks back two of my roommates were home while someone tried to break-in to our apartment. Although the person failed to enter, it ruined our door knob and we had to replace it. Also, we live on the third floor and the people above us are constantly stomping, and the public area echos so you can hear everything at night. If you want to live in a quiet place, do NOT live here.
Give them another two or three years of being open before living here. So many issues that are being brought up in other reviews are absolutely true, but are also mostly due to them being a new building. Still incredibly frustrating though, Id prefer a package system that actually works, handles that stay on doors, no ants, and management that actually replies. Also, even if the amenities were open until reasonable times (they all close at 5/6 depending on day), they arent safe to use because of the pandemic, not even the staff keeps their masks on.The staff has been overall nice, but I can tell theyre getting frustrated with the amount of complaints about the same things over and over again. Even if the complaints are reasonable the people at the desk cant do much realistically, its not their fault the complex they work for doesnt know what its doing.
I have tried multiple times to reach them - via phone and via their portal. I have not had a return call yet. This is highly unprofessional. Plus, having their listed number turn out to be a Google Voice number is also very disturbing and leads me to believe they cannot be trusted. If I do not get a return call by next week their high-pressure tactics for a lease renewal will be rejected.Edit to Add: They returned my call. Tried to make it seem as if they reply to emails promptly. I reminded them that I sent my email a while back and still had no response. Also, reminded her I have not had the phone answered or voicemails returned until now.So yes, I am grateful for the return call and having my questions answered. But, my instinct is telling me that this place is a no-go for the future. I do not get a feeling that I can trust Bixby; which is sad because it seems to be a beautiful apartment building.
I cannot reach the manager - not the young leasing agents, but the property manager. No one seems to be answering the phone and I have an important matter to discuss. The young college student leasing agent suggested that I send confidential records through an email which I do not feel comfortable with, but the manager does not seem available. Bixby Kennesaw needs to do a better job.
There are millions of things wrong with this place, but i hate it here mainly based off of the fact that they started doing EXTREMELY loud construction directly under our apartment (finishing yet another thing that should’ve been done before we moved in) and did not have the decency to communicate that at all prior to the construction starting. we’re woken up by it every morning between 7-9 AM for WEEKS now, and it’s terrible.
Agents need to wear mask they are the examples in the building and they should really enforce them. The agents never have an answer for anything. They never answer the phone at this point I’m convinced the phone doesn’t work. Also I have had problems that have yet to be solved. I put in maintenance request many times and they say “completed” before anyone ever comes or when they come they say nothing is wrong when obviously something is wrong because if nothing was wrong I wouldn’t be putting in a request. I had bugs on my bed when I first got here, I have a walk that has still yet to be painted since I’ve moved-in in August, I’ve had so many bugs, and the stickers in my bathroom is starting to come up. There are cracks in the floor where it wasn’t lined up properly and they answer with “the building is settling,” I think not.
Today I had to call out of work because we have 15 guys (yes 3 rooms full) fighting over a dryer because ours hasnt worked for 2 weeks. this is because for the past 3 months the front door frame had been ripped off opening our apartment to everyone allowing the dryer vent to be stolen. EXTREMELY unacceptable for the maintenance team. DO NOT sign a lease here unless you want to live in a sub-par grey set prison with a 30 pound gate at the door.
The worst place I have ever stayed in my life, lets start with move in day. on move in day they tried to delay move in until 4pm mind you people had move in at 9am and some of us live hours away if not out of stat so such an inconvenience. Then they got whatever was the issue completed and when it was done and we could start moving in they never contacted people to notify us that we could move in, our friends had to tell us we could move in. I moved in and everything was fine but I noticed walls were still drying and it was workers everywhere while we trying to move in, basically in our way. Now it gets to like the start of school and the wifi is not working and we couldnt prepare for school and basically missed like the first two days of school. then next thing I know there is a lot of bugs in my room and I asked around and they said it was fungus gnats mind you I googled what that was and they are only present when fungus is growing sooooo but mind you the bugs in me and my friends room was not fungus gnats, still dont know what it is. they are showing no sympathy for us and dont care at all. and on top of this we have ONE MAINTENANCE MAN in this whole building, for 700+ residence!!!!highly dont recommend this place for anybody. PERIODDDDD
Still under construction in some areas but I dont mind that as much as the wifi being absolutely trash and the amenities having awful hours. The wifi is awful and I am not even able to search in google much less take part in online classes. And then the amenities close so early. Everything is locked at 6pm and our key fobs dont grant us entry, whats the point of all the amenities if you cant use them. After a long day of school, work and homework Id like to enjoy a round of pool or shuffle board with my roommates but of course the doors are locked when im at the point where I have time to enjoy them.
I’ve been here for 6 days now and there is no internet connection in my room. The staff does not communicate what so ever or answer any phone calls. Had very high hopes for this place but so far it has been a horrendous experience. To add on to my first review the staff still does not put any effort into returning calls or emails, any positive reviews on this place I can assure you are from staff members who were most likely forced into doing it.
No security, police are called every weekend for problems. People assaulted in their apartments and in the parking lot. A pretty dangerous place even though it looks nice from the outside. Horrible maintenance. Garbage in the hallways left for weeks. Urine in the stairwells and trash in the parking lot on a regular basis

2022-05-05I’m am so happy that we finally have new management who actually listens to their tenets. Things have been rough in the past, but they seem to be getting better. The new management is so freaking nice and down to earth. They talk to everyone and don’t just sit in the office all day. They even know us by our names. Things were rough in the past, but this new management is not afraid to put their foot down when needed.

2022-07-02I wanted to take a minute to thank the new maintenance supervisor Chris Banks. He was home for the weekend and came back to Bixby on a Friday after hours when he heard our ac unit wasn’t working. He was understanding and waited to make sure everything was good to go before leaving. Myself and my roommates appreciate you and hope you’re able to enjoy the holiday.

2022-02-22Bixby has been great so far. Rooms are a nice size and the location is convenient. The parking deck is a little hard to maneuver due to how narrow it can be but other than that I’d choose bixby over living on campus.

2022-02-16Our maintenance man James is a blessing to our building! He always completes any maintenance request efficiently and with a smile on his face. I’m happy Bixby has him as a part of the staff team.

2022-06-23My mom and I visited Bixby today and were greeted by Timyus, who was an incredible help in finding the right fit for me regarding student housing when attending Kennesaw State. He gave us a tour of one of the 5 bedroom student apartments offered, which was incredibly spacious and offered us refreshments while walking around. When we returned to the first floor, he immediately got us set up to fill out all the paperwork and complete the payment information. He remained close by while we were completing said paperwork, so that any questions could be answered. I am very happy with my decision to live at Bixby, thank you Timyus!

2022-02-22I’m a glass half full kinda guy but this glass is shattered. The people are nice but management is still figuring out how to run this place obviously. They will figure it out one day. Maybe worry more about the infrastructure and maintenance rather than the social media and giveaways. Shoot, there was a dude seriously living in the game room at one point because you can literally just get into the building with no keys. But yes let’s get as many leases signed as possible bc profit margins are way more important than the well being of your current tenants. Hopefully I win this giveaway.

2022-06-11My experience has changed since my last review. I have not enjoyed my time at this apartment and will not recommend anyone to move here. I have on multiple occasions been lied to by the leasing people regardless if they actually made a mistake or not the have continuously told me things than go back on it and say that’s not what they actually meant if I could I would move out in august but as soon as I can leave I will.
