The space is nice and elegant. Men you must have a collard shirt. I literally went to Macys and bought a RL polo for 106.35 to get in. The issue I have is that I was in my opinion dressed very casual and im out of town so I didnt have a collard shirt. I will say the staff were nice. Now to the food. My first thought was underwhelmed. Fogo and Chops Lobster Bar is like walking distance and beats this hands down. Heck even Del Friscos. I ordered the Foie Gras on brioche, brie with Fig, great tasting, but definitely could use more brioche. though the star was on full display we also ordered the crab and lobster Napoleon which was fantastic. I ordered the 20oz dry aged rib eye oscar style and my food was ummm luke warm. Maybe thats how they served it but that steak definitely wasnt prepared and brought right out. The flavors were there, however because the Oscar has a sauce and juice from steak from cutting, you could imagine the warm combo, not very pleasant. Not a fan of the mac and cheese. You cant mess up potatoes, the greens were fairly tasty. My brother order the wagyu chopped steak and he literally cleaned his plate. His friend ordered the mixed grill, lollipop lamb chops, steak medallion and Pheasant sausage she said it was ok. They enjoyed their drinks. The service is exactly what Id expect from this type of restaurant, our waiter was funny and on point. I dont need to return overrated in my opinion 🤷 😌
Such a fun night! The steaks were perfectly cooked, we got the mashed potatoes and asparagus for sides, which complement the steaks nicely. All of the staff was very friendly, Trevor provided us with excellent service!
To leave this establishment only 5 stars is under-rated!!!! I booked BONES for my wifes birthday but we had to go a day earlier. It turned out to be the best experience she and I have had! My wife is a BONE-IN RIBEYE CONNOISSEUR. For some reason she only gravitated towards that cut of steak regardless of the restaurant. Bones was an excellent choice with the 34oz bone-in ribeye, excellent sides, and a variety of cocktails. The entire staff was superb in their presentation, their individual attentiveness, and professional conduct. We will definitely return on our annual trips back to Atlanta.
My husbad and I went to Bones in celebration of his birthday. I cant say enough about our experience as it was beyond excellent. A few hours before our reservation time I received a call to confirm reservation and was asked if it was a special occasion. Upon explaining a birthday celebration the nice lady said they would make sure and make it special which they absolutely followed through on. Everything we had was perfect from the steaks to the side dishes which we splurged and got the mushrooms, spinach and grit fritters. ALL were amazing and cooked to absolute perfection. We were extremely pleased with location of table, our waiter who was wonderful and very attentive. They brought us a piece of cake with a candle (absolutely delicious) which we greatly appreciated. I have to end by saying those grit fritters were one the best sides Ive ever had. We will definitely be back....probably for my birthday in another month.
Great food! Great service! One of my favorite steak houses. I love a good lobster bisque and with Bones you can taste the sherry. The baby octopus salad with sherry was incredible. The sherry vinaigrette was light and flavorful. I am very particular about octopus and I can say the octopus here is one of my favorites. The bone in rib-eye was marbled nicely and had lots of flavor. If you haven’t been you must visit.
What a great experience from start to finish. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very nice, dim but not dark lighting sets the tone. My partner and I came to celebrate his birthday and we were so pleased with our experience. Our table had birthday confetti on it which was such a cute gesture. Our server (I want to say his name was Zachary) was absolutely amazing, he was so polite and well informed on the menu and very patient as I have a habit of being a bit indecisive lol. Finally to end the meal we received a piece of birthday cake, it was delicious and a great way to end the meal. Absolutely 5/5 star experience and we will most certainly be returning in the future.
Not worth the price that we paid. Both our steak and lamb came out completely under the temp that we wanted. Only thing that I thought at was really good was the salmon and cream dill sauce off the appetizer menu. Hubby ate his steak, said it had good flavor, even though under temp. But my lamb was way to under done for my liking. Staff was very attentive. Basically wasted one of the very few date nights that we get, on food that wasnt cooked to our liking.
Our first visit to Bones was awesome. The steak was prepared, exactly as ordered. My wife ordered the Bones Salad and it was incredible.In fact everything Matt, our Waiter, recommended, exceeded our expectations.The Pecan Pie is indescribably wonderful. So, everything you want in one place; good food and great service!
I was taken here for my birthday and guys IT WAS PERRRFECT!We got there an hour EARLY and they had my table waiting with cute happy birthday decor that was the perfect touch.Seated downstairs, it gave an absolute old school, romatic, italian vibe but IN A STEAK HOUSE!!The food was fantasic, the service was OUTSTANDING.And when we thought the best was done and over, I was served their signature desert with a lit birthday candle!I look forward to many more visits here.Im in love and GAWKING over this establishment !You will not regret coming here.
All I can say about this steakhouse is its in a class of its own. For a fine dining restaurant this is true five stars the food the service and the ambience. This place is so good I dream of going here. I wish I lived in the area because theres no other place that I can think of that Ive ever had such a great steak. Hands down the best restaurant Ive ever gone to.
My wife and I went to celebrate our birthdays. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left everything was attended to. The serving staff was efficient, but, not overbearing. Our server Peirce was a delight. The food was phenomenal.The most memorable culinary experience weve ever had. If you have any reservations about going, you should just make a reservation instead.
Went to Bones after reading a few reviews . Celebrated my 30th birthday here and the server Michael was impeccable and very nice. The atmosphere was serene me and my family felt like the center of attention even though we were surrounded by other patrons. The food was on the pricey side but well worth it because it was proportioned well and tasted exquisite. They place confetti on the table and the cake for my birthday was delicious and tasted wonderful I will be back to visit this establish again it was a great experience. 👍
Some of the best steak I’ve ever had. I got the bone in filet and the bf got the T bone. The truffle mashed potatoes are a MUST. service was great :) it was hella expensive but that’s to be expected and frankly worth it IMO

Really liked the ambiance, the set is nice as well. You can actually have a conversation while enjoying good food.To start with, the bread was heavenly. Crispy from the out and warm and fresh from inside. We had the Bone’s salad, as fresh as lettuce can get. Had the lobster bisque and French Onion soup, both were amazingly. Probably highlight of the dinner. Must haves. Also tried the tuna from the appetizers and man it was good. It just melted in the mouth like butter and it was spicy too. Three of us went with fish (Trout, snapper and Salmon) and one went with lamb. I can easily say I have had better fish. Maybe steak would have been a better choice. The moment you step inside the restaurant, you can tell this is a steak place. Wish they had halal steaks. Also had the pecan pie which was pretty good, but not something I remember a day later.The service was as good as it can get (polite, professional and calm), but he was very hesitant in responding to some of our questions.Had an amazing experience, but not sure would go back for the same food.
Absolutely fabulous. The service is amazing and the food equally so. You will drop a lot of money when you go here, but you will get an amazing meal. Be sure to check out the extensive wine list as well as they have around 300 bottles to choose from. As for the food, you really cant go wrong with any of the options.

Bones really impressed me! I love trying steak houses around Atlanta and I haven’t found one that was really worth the $ in my opinion. From the food to the service Bones blew me away. It was my husband’s birthday and they went all out to make him feel special. Amazon atmosphere as well! The wagyu appetizer really made my night. I am a foodie and love trying places and so glad i finally made it here!
The food was pretty good. Drinks were great. And the waitstaff were excellent! Didnt have to wait long for anything. There is construction on Piedmont, so be sure to try coming from the Peachtree Road side to avoid the extra traffic (cannot turn left into the entrance). Overall, recommended.
Disappointing meal, particularly in light of the history of this restaurant and the astronomical cost. We had 4 different steaks and each was mediocre at best. Hard to believe that this was dry aged prime beef.The Asparagus was good, the corn pudding was passable, the mashed potatoes were clumpy and bland and the spinach was too salty to eat.Not much good to say about this experience. Heavy on the pocket book...Dont recommend.

So happy I got to experience Bones. My dinner was amazing, appetizer lump crab and lobster in a delicious creamy sauce. My entree, their version of trout almondine (forgot the name of it, but it was stuffed with crab) Oh my goodness, delicious. My husband had the bone in ribeye, and it melted in my mouth, Ive never had a piece of steak that tender and flavorful. Our waiters were the best, Professional but felt like old friends. We will definitely be back.
Honestly, one of the best meals Ive had. Service was better than excellent! Went for a birthday and it did not disappoint. Do not skip the hashbrown or corn pudding. Classically good food!

Great lobster bisque and corn pudding! Bone-in filet was nothing special, mashed potatoes were dry and asparagus way too big. Nice service and ambiance but didn’t really live up to the hype for me.
Unfortunately very discriminatory towards children. We were not evens allowed to be seated with our 4y old. She is super well behaved and used to restaurants. Apparently it is listed on the website, but not in a prominent place, so we didnt know. We went to Little Alley Steak and it was excellent. Can definitely recommend that place!!
Went with my wife to celebrate our anniversary and was very disappointed. it definitely had change in chef and the quality of food. Before Covid the Wagyu appetizer steak was so delicious that we wanted to try again and this time it was not worth $70 dollars. Also in the past when something wasn’t right, we had a manager come up to make sure everything was OK but this time no one really cared. Also there was dust on their furniture is as well. I hope this restaurant doesn’t losw it’s touch.
This was my first visit to Bones Restaurant. I went there for a birthday celebration. The appetizers were good. However, my entree of lamb chops and add on lobster tail were disappointing. They were served lukewarm. I told the waiter that my lamb chops were cold. He said he would take the lamb chops back and warm them up. He took the lamb chops and lobster tail back to the kitchen. A few minutes later he brought back my lobster tail on a little saucer plate. I started to eat the lobster tail without the lamb chops. By this time the lobster tail was cold since the waiter had taken the lobster tail back to the kitchen with my lamb chops. When the waiter brought my lamb chops back to me, they were the same lukewarm temperature that they were when they first came out. Only this time they were dry and hard. It seems that they may have warmed them in a microwave. They took my lobster tail back to warm it up. It was also brought back to me lukewarm. I mentioned to the waiter that I was not enjoying the lamb chops because they were dry and hard. I wanted to order something different. He told me there is nothing that he could do because the kitchen had closed. He told me that he took the lamb chops off the bill. I was so disappointed because I went there for the lamb chops. Instead of warming them up in a microwave or however they warmed them up, they should have made a fresh order. I could not finish the lamb chops because they were so dry and hard. I ate the lobster tail lukewarm because it was such a small piece. This restaurant would not be a do over for me. This was my first and last visit.
This place judges you! It’s okay, I went to little ally they don’t judge you, and even gave the waitress 100 for their hospitality! I’m a college student with money and bones wouldn’t let me eat because I was alone. I was willing to spend a lot of money on dinner and they wouldn’t give me a seat. I still tipped the valet guys. They were great dudes thanks Jeff! Sad construction workers aren’t allowed to eat here.
The service was exceptional,and the staff are incredibly attentive to your needs. The prices are fairly high;most meals are going to be 30-60 per person, and that includes no sides(sides are big portions so you could get a large portion of hashbrowns to share for example) I got the mixed grill with pheasant sausage, filet mignon and lamb. The steak was tender and well cooked, the pheasant was good.It was a solid meal and experience, but the price is very high. They have on site free valet parking which is also very nice.
This was one of the top meals of my life. Our server, Benjamin, went above and beyond to make the meal and dining experience top shelf, and his knowledge of the menu and wine pairings was incredible. I couldnt be happier!!! If you get the chance, order the rare, wet-aged ribeye.... it was absolutely amazing. My hat is off to the entire team at Bones! I will be back again as soon as possible!!
Horrible customer service. Came here on my anniversary with my husband and they did not allow us to sit because he did not have a collared shirt. We both were dressed very nice in designer clothes. This reservation was booked through open table and they blamed open table for not explaining that men cannot wear graphic tees. Being from miami this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. We recieved a text message confirming which did not mention anything about a dress code. If they are going to be affiliated with open table and send out confirmation texts, wouldn’t it make sense to communicate the “very strict” dress code?? A restaurant with good customer service would at least call to confirm and mention their strict policy. We spoke to the manager and he wasn’t even sympathetic to our situation and it being our anniversary. All they kept saying was that it was our fault for not checking their website and the dress code on their website not open table. We’re honestly appalled at the lack of service to help us.
Top-tier experience from start to finish: Fast & attentive valet; gracious host, superb service staff, outstanding bard service, rich lobster bisque, tasty carb & arugula salad, impressive shrimp cocktail, meats cooked perfectly, etc., etc., etc. Truly one of Atlantas best dining experiences!
I wasnt super impressed unfortunately. Went there for my daughters birthday and stayed with s cosmo that didnt taste right had to send it back. The environment was cool and while the steak was perfection and the baked potatoe was delicious the broccoli was under cooked and our server split our soup and salad even though we asked him not to then proceeded to charge us for individual cups at 8 a piece instead of the bowl we ordered for 14, same with the salad. I didnt think that was right or fair. It just wasnt anything special to me and Ive been to a large variety of steakhouses in my life.
Enjoyed my delicious filet mignon steak…service was excellent. Servers have been at restaurant for many, many years and it shows. Other dishes were also a sight to behold. Loved my onion rings…extra bonus! 🤛🏽💗
My husband and I went to Bones for an anniversary celebration. Service from valet to front desk to waiter were their usual great. They did not have their Library opened which we had asked for but that was ok. Hubby ordered lobster bisque and it came out with more lobster than we had ever seen before but was cold on the warm soup. I had the smoked salmon as theirs is usually very good. Came out three very small, thin slices which was not like before. We both ordered filets medium and they came out perfect. We ordered their hash brown potatoes that were a complete disappointment. No taste at all and potatoes didnt taste done . Couldn’t eat them at all. Was taken off our bill. The next day we saw that Bones just was given a B for their restaurant grade which really made us surprised. Fee like Bones should have always had an A in their kitchen. Not sure I would rush back again.
The food is really good. I had the special, which was an aged Kansas City Ribeye (I believe, cant recall). My guest had the filet mignon, my wife is vegan. Yes, we brought a vegan to a steakhouse!Per usual at a fine dining establishment, accomodations for a vegan was simple. She had pasta. The sides are served family style and were great: asparagus, truffle butter mashed potatoes, Bacon mac n cheese and mushrooms cooked in oil in lieu of butter.The service was a bit of a mixed bag. The host was gracious and welcomed us in. They were patient as we were surprised by and stopped to chat with family also dining that night.Our main server was lively and fun, but didnt leave instructions about how to select wines from the tablet. I kept thinking Id made a selection for purchase when in truth Id just selected what Id like the server to tell me more about.His tone seemed to change once we let on that my wife is vegan. We tried to play it as a kind of joke to lighten the mood. It didnt offer many alternatives. A second server changed that by giving us an array of options.The first server returned, stating that the vegan option was a favorite of his. We found that odd. We also waited quite some time for refills on a purchase bottle of wine. We waited long enough to make me wonder if the staff thought we purchased.by the glass.Otherwise? The ambiance, the quiet atmosphere. It was truly enjoyable. Will do again. Giving a 4 instead of 5 because of the service hiccups. They were minor but they felt off putting at the time.
For my wifes birthday we had the Trout as a main dish, Dry Aged Rib eye, the Foie Gras and the Filet Mignon. The Trout was not good, something with the flavor was not there. I noticed they no longer have that type of trout on the menu, perhaps it was a special for that evening, the foie gras was bland, absolutely nothing there and for a place that is known for their steaks with high ratings the dry aged rib eye was overdone and tough. The filet for my wife was good, not the best. but it was good. Someone in the kitchen was definitely not having a pleasant evening. I would highly recommend Marcel or Little Alley Roswell over Bones. Nonetheless we did not stay too long and although my wife was a good sport, I couldnt help but be disappointed. This was our first time at Bones, this was our experience.
This place exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend Bones for your steak night.We got the tuna appetizer...it was high quality, but wasnt worth it. My soul wanted steak.I got the wet-aged 24 oz porterhouse, my wife got the 8oz mignon. Both were out of this world. Porterhouse was good to the last bite. They got steak down. For fun I added a lobster tail, it was treat as well.Truffle mashed potatoes were the right amount of rich. Garlic broccoli came as advertised.The only thing that left me wanting was the mile high pie, it was just ice cream. The whipped on the outside was fantastic, but just ice cream over all.The decor was stunning, felt high end. The wait staff was exceptional which is what you expect when you are about to drop a ton of dough on meat. Highly recommend.
Bones doesn’t feed you, they provide a fine dining experience. The mixed grill and mile high pie are absolutely fantastic. This was our first visit, but definitely not the last.
The service at Bones is great! It makes the experience that much more enjoyable. Would 1,000% recommend the corn pudding! Best thing I had all night!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. The service was absolutely phenomenal. And atmosphere was great! The food was overall good. The crab and lobster napoleon with Chardonnay cream was so so delicious (Nothing else to say to this plate). Bones salad was fresh and good, but not as impressive compared to salads from other same-level restaurants. The dry-aged ribeye was also good, but we felt that it would have been better if it could have been little more aged since the flavor was not strong as we expected/preferred. We ordered Mac and cheese with bacon as a side item, and it was not so much special and the pasta itself seemed little overcooked. The mountain high pie (layered ice cream cake) was great! (After a full meal, it was a lot for two of us, so I believe 3-4 people can have it together). It was definitely a great restaurant, which made me consider giving 5 stars, but I feel that the review of this restaurant set our expectation for food too high, which is the reason that I am giving 4 stars. For the service itself though, I wish there is an option for 10 stars :)

I would not recommend this place there attitudes are nasty and we recieved funny looks the moment we walked in the door.I gave my valet 25 dollars as a tip and then we walked inside and before even greeting us we were told we could not eat there because our daughter was 3 and not 6 or older .First off thats discrimination. Its a family restaurant. I made reservations on mothers day and they wait to tell someone that after coming all the way from the other side of town. They didnt even try to be courteous of the situation. Mind you its 5 in the afternoon so our chances of eating dinner anywhere on mothers day without reservations were horrible. Not once was anything about children mentioned on their website. However as I stated before thats a form of discrimination I work for the government so i will definitely make this a situation known.
Bones is a five star restaurant. We had a four star or less experience.I spent over $700 on just food for a table of four (me & three teens).My steak was over cooked & one sons order was completely botched (ordered veal & got a strip somehow? Didnt eat a bite & we paid full price for everything including dessert )We often wondered when the waiter would come by with water (there were three in our team) or how long they would let the bread crumbs stay on the table...(cleaned up for dessert)The sides available were nothing special and included lots of potatoes. #waffleHouseMy other son had wagu beef and it was a life changing experience for him. We will be back but its going to be a while.
I don’t normally do reviews on my experiences at restaurants. However after seeing some of the negative reviews that almost changed my mind about eating here I had to. I’m probably one of the poorest people to ever enter this establishment. With some of the reviews making me think me and my wife would be looked down on because of some of the other reviewers. I will say this was the absolute opposite from the truth. We were there for our anniversary and every staff member we encountered wished us a happy anniversary. I will be honest I felt like a potentate as we walked in to be seated to cleaning our table down with a brush between courses. Even the valet parking gentleman went above and beyond. It’s for sure pricey but the experience was way worth it.
Steak was way over cooked (but not hot)…ordered hot pink middle… got very grey steak…asparagus was overcooked to withered…mushrooms were hottest thing on the table… was less than ordinary…
Words cannot describe how we were treated from valet to entrance of your establishment. If you come to Atlanta for vacation or business trip, you have to stop by Bones before you leave. My family was treated with respect. We had an amazing time. Thank you for making your location the icing on the cake. Our food was breathe taking. Thank you again.
My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here. WE LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE. I have to say our server Lane was outstanding and he was one of the best servers we ever had in restaurants in Atlanta. Ribeye, truffle meshed potato, octopus and salad... all the foods were so good. Easy Five Stars. Oh the mint chocolate was very impressive as well. I want to thank all the staffs including Lane for the experience. We will definitely be back.
If you are African American do not eat here, or should I say you will not be able to eat inside the dinning area. My husband and I had reservations for 5:30pm, we arrived earlier so we had a drink at the bar. After our drink we went to check in for our reservation but were stopped at the dinning room door by two caucasian men host stating that my husband must have on a collar shirt to enter, they continued to tell us that we could get a shirt from the golf store next door or eat at the bar, it was our anniversary we decided to have have dinner at the bar.While we were waiting for our food I noticed a man of Caucasian descent was able to enter into the dinning room area without a collar. I took a picture of him in disbelief. I asked to go to the bathroom and noticed that he was able to sit at the dinner table still without a collar. I asked to speak to a manager and she apologized for the mishap and comped our drinks from the bar (we did not touch nor eat our food that just came out because we were disgusted with discrimination). I understand that in this establishment there are not a lot of African Americans that enter the doors (there was only one other black person with two Caucasian males eating at the bar) but that does not give them the right to discriminate against us. The food you see in the picture was sent back as-is because I was upset to my stomach. I would post the pictures of the white male they let in but I will be saving that picture for other matters.
DON’T COME HERE IF YOU ARE ASIAN!Right at the front we were told to wear a jacket where as the dress code is smart casual. We had to get our jackets in the car. That would be ok, except that in fact after we got in, most people were not wearing jackets!!The worst part came when we were in the middle of eating our dinner, 2 waiters who were actually not our original waiter came to our table and requested to clean our table. While we were eating!!I never felt discrimnated before trying Bones Restaurant. Beware
The food and service were excellent. Its a high end steak house, with a few seafood options. Not a great place for a vegetarian.
Great Service, Top notch cuisine, and lovely atmosphere. Micheal or Jeffrey as your requested server, will be the start of a memorable experience. Trust. If u are early, Roberto at the bar got you covered for whatever libation.
This is my favorite steakhouse in the metro ATL area. Ive only been once but def want to come again. It has that old school steakhouse feel to it and the steaks are great. The desserts are huge so def share. We had the beef carpaccio as an app and I had the bone in filet for the entree. You wont be disappointed in this place. Service was fantastic. Trust me. Went here a second time with another couple. Sat in the back room that looks like a study. Wife and I split the porterhouse. Steak was great. We also got the Wagyu app. Very good. The sides were great. The drinks were great and the service was great. The ladies weren’t impressed with the vibe though. Could use a little bit of a refresh to liven things up.

This is one of the best places to dine in the city. The scotch smoked salmon was the perfect dish to start off our dining experience. The mixed grill platter consisting of lamb chops, filet mignon and pheasant sausage really hit the spot for me. The garlic broccoli, truffle mashed potatoes and mac and cheese with bacon served as the perfect side dishes. We kind of underestimated what the serving size of the mountain high pie would be, although the word mountain shouldve been a tip-off.Overall, we were very satisfied with not only the food, but the service as well.
I called to set up a private dinner for 10 people. They said it was available. I then asked if we could have a fixed menu as I wanted to limit the bill to about $150 per person. The man said the restaurant doesn’t work with groups that have caps on how much they can spend because they can’t guarantee it and they won’t create a fixed menu for that small of a group. I probably would have still booked here had the extra snobby comment not been made about not working with groups that have caps on how much they can spend.
We celebrated our anniversary at Bones and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Its one of the higher end places that ive been, and it was very worth the price in my opinion. The restaurant has a great old school ambiance, with lots of interesting art decorating the place. We were seated in the best room(the dog room), and they had even decorated our table with some cute confetti. They brought us out a huge fresh loaf of bread and butter as an appetizer, it was nice and hot and super soft on the inside. We got a NY strip and a bone in filet, both of which were buttery and amazingly flavorful. We of course had to order some of the family style sides and ended up going with the truffle mashed potatoes(never experienced a flavor like this before, definitely recommend) and the corn pudding(super sweet and amazing). The only small issue with the steaks was that the filet was a tad bit undercooked. We requested it as medium but it came out very rare, which would have been a problem if we were picky but luckily we arent. I will say that im sure they would have corrected the problem for us had we asked, because the service was absolutely OUTSTANDING! We felt very attended to and never had to ask for a thing. At the end of the meal they gave us a complimentary slice of their ice cream cake which we tried our hardest to finish, but it won in the end. They sent us home with a very cute box of human biscuits which were some sweet bone shaped cookies. I would like to add that this is a very quiet and intimate dining establishment and I would advise against bringing children who are noisy and rambunctious. I will definitely be back to Bones....as soon as I can save enough money haha!
First Class experience from beginning to end. Cocktails and food were excellent. We drove 6hrs just for a special Valentines dinner and they did not disappoint. Our Waiter Monroe provided exemplary service while adding enough playful banter to not make it feel to fancy which is our personality. Highly recommend if in the Atlanta area!!!

Enjoyed my time at Bones. We were there for our Anniversary. Atmosphere was romantic and service was impeccable. They had thrown confetti on the table which was cute. They only thing was when it came to dessert time most high end places like this would write Happy Anniversary on the plate or make it a little more special which they didnt do here. The lamb chops came out cold, but they redid it right away. They were under seasoned too. Other than that we had a great time.
My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary here. The service was great. Waiters and servers were very polite and nice. We ordered filet mignon and lamb chops. Both were very delicious, tasty but not too salty. Their mountain high pie was huge, plenty for two of us to share. We really enjoyed our time here!!!
Ive heard really great recommendations about Bones and tried hard to like it.Appetizer- Grilled Octopus: We all love octopus in general but this dish fell flat. It was lackluster. Boring. We couldnt taste that it was grilled at all. Even the lemon didnt help to brighten the dish.- Wagyu Carpaccio: The meat does melt in your mouth. The point of this dish is to highlight the wagyu which it seemed to do.Salad & SoupLobster Bisque: my friend said it was way too salty. She couldnt finish it.Bones Salad: I was disappointed by this salad. Bibb lettuce is delicious and goes from crunchy to flat pretty quickly. About half of my lettuce was already flat. The salad was definitely light enough to have before a meal though.EntreesDry-aged bone-in ribeye: the 3 of us all wanted different temperatures: rare, medium rare, and medium. The waiter specifically told us that they tended to cook their steaks on the rarer side of that so assume the temperature is one step down. Based on that information, we all bumped our meat temperatures up one level. Well our meat comes out and theyre all cooked exactly to the temperature that we ordered rather than what we actually wanted. We shouldnt have listened to the waiter at all. My friend got her steak herb crusted but it was ridiculously salty. I got my charred which was an excellent suggestion by the waiter this time.Sides- Hashbrowns: this came HIGHLY recommended but it was such a let down. We didnt understand the hype about out. WaHo makes better hashbrowns.- Broccoli - nothing phenomenal about this. Just basic broccoli which we were fine with.- Mac N Cheese - I was disappointed by the quantity? I felt like we got shafted because half of our bowl was empty. Our also had about 2 small slices of bacon. It really just tasted like Penne tossed in a bit of cream sauce.Cocktails- The Weekend & The Manhattan: both were very good and refreshing. The drinks came out super quick.Service- The wait staff is incredibly attentive. Our waters never reached the half way mark before they were refilled. They werent super friendly which is weird for the South but I guess they were all strictly business.- The food pacing was just a tad to quick for us. I wouldve loved just 2 or 3 minutes between each course. I literally was chewing on my last piece of lettuce then my entree appeared. My friend was still halfway through her salad at that point too.Cost: Our meal came out to around $450 for the 3 of us total.Overall: Bones was just Ok. Nothing spectacular besides the price. There are other Steakhouses in Atlanta where the food has more flavor and the environment is a bit less stuffy.
This place was classy, delicious and welcoming. The service was quick and professional. Water was always filled up, bread and butter was always refreshed. Silverware and napkins were promptly replaced. The Foie gras had a unique southern twist with the jam and Bree. The chocolate torte was absolutely delicious. However, the steak and vegetables was where this restaurant really shines. The mushrooms were absolutely delicious and spiced to perfection, the corn pudding was sweet and savory, the asparagus was crispy and the greens were sweet. The steak was cooked perfectly, from the filet to the ribeye. The wine was excellent, as was the old fashioned. Everything about this place was impressive 👌.
The food and the staff are superb! When you pull in to the driveway youll be promptly greeted by their complimentary valet (be sure to bring cash to tip). Once inside youll speak with the Maitre D. At the table youll find thoughtful attention to detail, and several people to make sure you have everything you need. On special occasions they go above and beyond with complementary ice cream cake and cookies to go. If youre looking for a great steak house in Atlanta, youll want to go to Bones!

Wonderful atmosphere and an incredibly courteous staff! I was there for my birthday, and they accommodated my girlfriend and I 100%. Everyone on the staff you come in contact with are engaging and pleasant. The food was impeccable. I had a bone-in ribeye of the highest quality, and it, along with the side items, did not disappoint.
Bones is a CLASS ACT. This restaurant did everything right the night we went. We were greeted by the best Maître d in the biz. He was warm and welcoming and made us feel special right off. We were seated by another very nice man, and then our servers were just great. The food was terrific. Steaks were cooked to perfection (mostly, mine was a little more done than I would like, but still tasted delicious; husbands was perfect) and the corn casserole...oh my goodness, that corn casserole!! Best side dish ever. Tasted just like the corn had been grilled on a Weber! Perfect dinner for our 6th Anniversary. So happy we celebrated here.
Is an Atlanta gem for a reason. Some of the best food Ive ever had. Lobster dish was best seafood Ive ever tasted. Paul, our server, was engaging and incredibly helpful. Had an amazing time and excellent atmosphere for any special or just because occasion. I might be counting Bones as my new favorite Atlanta restaurant.
First time trying them and it was my husbands birthday. The portions were big enough to share, the drinks were amazing, and that lobster tail was PERFECTION!!!! We will definitely be back ready to try the next dish.

Food: Bones is top 3 steak houses in Atlanta. Possibly the best. The steak was cooked perfectly. It was incredible. We also got asparagus which has a slight hint of lemon on it giving it some nice acid and mashed potatoes which were made with truffle butter. Fantastic adventure for your taste buds. Come here hungry as portions size is perfect.Service: Perfect! The weight staff is well trained and work very well together. Thank you. You made the evening that much more enjoyable.Atmosphere: This place is straight from the 80’s. The wolf of Wall Street would have come to eat here if he visited Atlanta.

Dry Aged Ribeye....one of the best steaks I have ever had. The service was exception. The food and experience was outstanding has to be one of the best steaks house in Atlanta. I arrived and my car was parked for me. The hostess did not have a table for me so the found me a place at the bar. Thos, the bartembar was knowledgeable and was able to easily explain each dish. Fantastic experience....I will becoming back again!!

One of the few restaurants that lives up to the great reviews! This is an old school classic steakhouse that rivals any steakhouse in the country! The steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were good. The highlight for me (because I have 8 sweet teeth) was the Mountain High Pie which is the best ice cream cake you will ever have! OMG!! If you have a $200-$300 to burn (depending on your wine choice), burn it here! You will not be disappointed!
Top quality restaurant. Steak is good quality but the restaurant’s friendly service really takes top marks. I was there during Super Bowl week and lots of team staff/some players/TV folks. Will absolutely return.Don’t expect the burger after lunch time. They run out.
Im certainly not the most refined of people and I havent eaten at the many places of this quality. Given that, Bones offered what was honestly the best steak I have ever had, and an equally spectacular pecan pie. The customer service was great and the whole experience was great. Highly recommended.
It was my birthday and we had reservations. The service was immaculate! The only issue was the lenght of time for food to come. We realized that it was the end of the night and they had huge parties so we took that into account. Once the food arrived, we were happy again. The steaks were awesome. I had the bone in ribeye and collard greens. Although the steak was good, the collard greens stole the show. Amazing!

Exceptional service and the best porterhouse I’ve ever enjoyed. This is THE Atlanta steakhouse nestled in the heart of Buckhead. You won’t go wrong with any cut of steak you choose, and the garlic mashed potatoes are a real standout. The expert waitstaff pace the meal exactly as you desire - my wife and I never felt rushed or neglected. Bones is the perfect steakhouse for any occasion, or none at all.
Went here for my birthday and the staff was top notch. Host, server, and even the bus staff all independently wished me a happy birthday. The steaks are fantastic and Bones definitely lives up to the hype. They have a great bar in the front of the restaurant if you arrive early for your reservation.
Excellent food in a warm and spacious dining room. All of us found the food excellent. The steak is very aged, one person found the taste to be a bit too aged. No one was disappointed though. The lobster was great, the filet steak is 2 inch thick and served any way you like it. All the vegetables are tasty. We were so full at the end that no one ordered dessert.
Too expensive for the actual experience.I set this up for our Christmas Party, but it was quite disappointing because the main course for 2 of us was prepared wrong. My bosses steak and mine were over cooked. Their website is not updated. I asked for a wine that I saw online and the waiter told me they dont keep their website up-to-date. He also forgot to get one of our drinks and I had to remind him. Maybe he was having a hard time because at times he was short with me.Anyways, we expected more of this place. The macaroni and cheese, the corn pudding, and the desserts were really good though. I highly recommend their key lime pie.

Attention to detail, excellent main course and appetizers. We went there for our anniversary and were surprised to find every person from the host to our server knew the occasion and wished us - by name. I had the Japanese Wagyu which was cooked to perfection and for the price was worth it. I was skeptical at the time of ordering it but my server gave me enough information and confidence to go for it.Now for the loss of ONE star - I felt the decor was outdated and the place felt a little dark and dingy to us. Our table wasnt in the best spot and closer to the butler area that we would have liked. I wasnt able to see if there were other better tables available. I am not saying the place is not well maintained but if you are looking for an open, modern style, it will not meet your expectations.At the end of the day, however, my wife and I walked out of there with a fantastic experience and will go back again for our special occasion.

This review is 3 weeks late, but I had to write it. When I called to make a reservation I was asked if its for a special occasion. I told them it was for my husbands birthday. When we arrived we were greeted with hello Mr. and Mrs. ______ and happy birthday Mr. _____. Thats where the best service Ive ever experienced began. Our waiter greeted us by name and with a happy birthday. He put confetti on the table and proceeded to provide us with outstanding service. When our meal was over they gave my husband a big piece of cake and a little to go gift. When we left it was goodnight Mr. and Mrs. ____. Enjoy the rest of your evening. Mind you, this was our lst ever visit to Bones Restaurant.The food was amazing like everyone said, but it was the attention to detail that won me over!!! I often eat at fine restaurants, but never had this extra service. When we left we truly felt like we were special. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the best experience ever in a restaurant!!!!
Our server was great, but I felt the supposedly family style appetizers were tiny (def not family-sized), and the beer and wine selection was kinda ridiculous. They sell wines you can find at Trader Joes for $20 a bottle for $20 a glass! Overall I think the place is overrated, a bit too pretentious, and overpriced.
This was my first visit to Bones. I have heard for years how amazing their steak was. I finally decided to go and I had a 12 oz Filet. We took in the great atmosphere and loved the staff. I ordered my steak medium well, it it came rare. I sent it back and it came to the table again crispy, black, and a burnt flavour. If I am paying over $70 for a filet I would hope I would be able to eat it. I left hungry. My family and friends will not be returning.

We have gone to Bones for years. The last two times were not what we had grown to expect. We had to send our extremely salted food back. They were very nice about it but the restaurant is too expensive to not get it perfect every time.

What a great place to have our 10th anniversary at. The table had happy anniversary decor and we were complimented with free champagne. The smoked salmon was mouth watering and the steak was nice and tender and beautifully seasoned. My wife had the scallops which were perfectly cooked we also shared the mountain high pie which was also truly amazing.
As long as you dont mind the price it was great meal.The pecan pie was the best dessert, and the A4 wagyu beef for an appetizer was spot on.
The food is amazing and the service is unparalleled. The 12 ounce filet is always cooked perfectly and the sides are delicious. Props to our server Derek on our last visit.

My husband and I had such high expectations for Bones, unfortunately the overall experience was lackluster. We did love the vibe— the decor, lighting, noise level were all wonderful, but that was the best part. We expected outstanding service but our server was mediocre— we immediately got the feeling he assumed that because we’re younger that we either couldn’t afford to eat and tip well, or didn’t know good service and he could skate by with the bare minimum. We were dressed very nicely, and we carry ourselves well. I guess being on the younger end of the crowd, there was just the assumption we didn’t know how to eat/tip at an upscale steakhouse. He seemed annoyed at questions, didn’t really put any effort into talking over the menu, and certainly didn’t care to really make drink/wine recommendations. We did split a steak and a half bottle of wine (not due to price, but simply to watch our alcohol/calorie intake). We ordered an appetizer and two drinks, along with three sides and two desserts— spending almost $400 total, yet it still felt like he was treating us very differently than a few other tables he was serving at. The steak was cooked well, but the asparagus was far too thick/tough and cheap tasting, the mushrooms were okay, and the hash browns were fine. Our wedge salad and lobster bisque were very good, and our desserts (we had them packed up to-go) were really amazing. We’ve eaten at some exquisite restaurants in Dallas and Savannah, with incredible food and top notch service— we had that expectation for Bones, but the experience just didn’t deliver. We are really disappointed and probably won’t return or recommend to friends.
Super yummy steaks! Pricey, but go for a special occasion and you wont be disappointed. Beautiful interior despite the exterior. You wont even need your steak knife and the wine list is amazing.
Very nice restaurant. Staff was very tentative and always available when we had any questions. My steak was a little on the salty side but it actually tasted better as leftovers the next day. The rest of my sides were great.
Bones was referred to us as the best steakhouse in Atlanta. It was definitely fantastic!We came in from the airport, and made a last minute reservation. They were very accommodating. I would strongly recommend making reservations to ensure you get a table. They do have a wait list for the bar seating and you do get access to the full menu.The service was spectacular, the waiter enjoyed the questions and was very personable. The lobster bisque was amazing. The main courses were very good. The family style choice of sides was great and they had a large selection of options.While we were waiting for our main course, we kept seeing very large pieces of pie going to other tables. It was the Mountain High Pie - Bones tradition. We had to try it. That topped the meal off! You must try it!

Amazing steaks. All of the food was way above par but I could go on for days about that. The real kicker was the ambiance and the service. I felt like I was transported to the 1950s with leather seats, servers in formal coats, a coat check service, formal dinnerware and NO LOUD MUSIC BUMPING. Just a nice, quiet dinner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Excellent service & fantastic staff. The menu is rather short but won’t disappoint. The food is made with quality ingredients and probably lots of passion. If, by a slight chance, your dish is not meeting your expectations they will make sure something else would. Ideal for a casual business lunch or a formal dinner. Do try the bisque and don’t be shy to ask for more bread (it’s almost my best reason to visit. I even have gotten some to go and bake at home. They’re closed on Sundays

A real classy place. Right when you walk you know you are in a high end steakhouse. The decor and the atmosphere was comforting and inviting. It has a lower level apart from its main floor so plenty of room. The service was respectful and very attentive, making sure every need was met. The sides were delicious and well prepared. The dry aged bone in ribeye steak was tender and juicy. It did lack a little flavor which I was disappointed about. However, I did enjoy my visited immensely. Highly recommend Bones Restaurant.
Its very expensive...VERY but worth every penny! The staff is extremely accommodating, very personable, and quite fun! We went for our first anniversary and our table was given some modest decor and complimentary sparkling wine! I had the dry aged ribeye medium-well (cooked to perfection), wife had the filet with lamb and pheasant sausage (mixed grill). We accompanied our entrees with macn cheese, sauteed mushrooms, collard greens, and truffle mashed potatoes. We had the smoked salmon appetizer and finished everything off with the mile-high pie! Everything was amazing! It was a beautiful experience and we will definitely go back!

The inside is beautiful and well maintained. I gave it two stars because of the servers. They messed up our order and the servers did not owen up to their mistakes. At least get my orders right since I am paying so much for my food. They didn’t seem to care. I would expect a better treatment from such a high class restaurant.

Tl;dr - perfect steaks and service, but the sides are (still) a letdown.A little back story. I went to Bones many years ago and had a very similar experience so while not a frequent diner, the similarities seem to coincidental to be an accident. Basically this place hasnt changed in 15 years for better or worse, but my perspective has widened.This place is clearly most appropriate for a business meal or something non-romantic. Its bustling, relatively densely packed, and brightly-lit for a steakhouse. Im not saying you couldnt take a date here, but it wouldnt be my first choice. Also, if someone else is paying, the shortcomings wont be so noticeable.As for the food, heres a quick run-down of what we had. Ill lead off with the alcohol which is probably normal markup for this level of restaurant but definitely pricey. The fresh baked bread is delicious! The salads (I had the Bones salad) were good but a bit overdressed for my taste. Steaks were great. We both had dry-aged bone-in strips that were delicious and cooked perfectly, and I added some foie gras for good measure (highly recommended!). Now for the disappointment...the side items. We shared the asparagus which was barely cooked enough to eat and not particularly well seasoned, and we had the hash brown which probably could have been awesome, but most of the inside was undercooked potato and just not pleasant. I didnt complain about either because it didnt seem worth it and we were stuffed anyways. Needless to say we opted out of dessert.But, I have to point out that Bones failed me last time with the side items, so at this point I am comfortable saying that they have great steaks but the sides are sub-par. Unfortunately that matters because there are a TON of top class steakhouses in Atlanta and all of them cook great steaks, but some (Rathbuns Im looking at you) also manage to have delicious and inventive side items. So unfortunately I have to give them 4 stars because Im grading on a curve but you definitely cant go wrong eating here and the service was impeccable as one would expect at this level.
I was in Atlanta and decided to eat at Bones. I have been several times before and it was very good. This time I was told I could not be seated because Guys had to wear a collared shirt since COVID started but it was okay for women. I was wearing a very nice solid black T-Shirt like I have worn there before 2 months ago. So since we were kicked out we went to Capital Grille where we were welcomed and not turned away. We had an excellent meal, which was way better than anything I have ever had to eat at Bones. So If you want to eat at Bones you better wear a collard shirt if you are a guy or you will not be seated.
Dinner was great the only add that i could think would be to use carribean lobster and not Maine lobster meat other than that dinner was great.

After seeing the reviews I couldnt wait to get to Atlanta from Dallas to try Bones. Either the waiter had a bad night or I was judged from minute I walked in. Food was meh, service was blah. I dont mind spending couple hundred on a fine dinner for myself. If I spend that kind of money I would like that type of service and food. Maybe I went in with high hopes or perhaps they were having an off day. I much rather spend the money at Chris Ruth or Fogo De Chao

We had an amazing time at Bones this weekend for my wife’s birthday. We came to buck head Atlanta from Wilmington North Carolina and a friend of ours referred us to Bones. We were very grateful to have been waited on/served by Brad from the bar. He made our visit a very comfortable and entertaining night. We highly recommend bones and thank Brad for his outstanding customer service10/10
Bones is by far the best. I have been dining there for 40 years and never had a bad meal. The lump crab, lobster bisque and filet mignon are excellent. Service is fantastic. All in all a five star experience every time.
This place is amazing! Customer service is first class! Food is top chef! I celebrated my birthday here and they made sure everything was on point. They even added cute birthday accents on my table. So cute!
My hubby and I went for our anniversary dinner. Service was great! They created a space for us that was decorated with anniversary confetti which was super cute and we had complimentary champagne! Dinner was great! No complaints! You cannot beat complimentary valet and coat check either! We will definitely be back!
Came in with high expectations as Bones has a reputation, but left a little disappointed. The lobster bisque and avocado crab salad were very good, but my filet mignon and lamb were over cooked and under seasoned(ordered medium rare and it came medium well). The glaze for the lamb was also all over the plate instead of on the lamb. The sides were ok, but I have made better at home. We had a hard time getting a server’s attention to bring out some red wine with our steaks once we finished our cocktails. And it was small but we were celebrating a birthday and at the end of the meal they brought out a slice of their signature ice cream cake which was lovely and a nice gesture, but we were charged for something we did not ask for.

One of my favorite dinner spots in the ATL. Its the best wheeling, dealing and dining spot around. The bone-in filet is my favorite. The sides are amazing as well. A must have side is the hash browns...definitely more than enough to share with 3 or more people. If you like a nice Cabernet Sauvignon, ask for the #1. Its numbered appropriately in my opinion. Save room for the mountain high pie. Ask for a steak knife to attack that generous slice of ice cream deliciousness. Sharable and you wont be sorry
We had a reservation on New Years Eve and were denied because our son did not meet their age restriction. We were mostly taken aback by the inconsiderate and unfriendly way the host told us than anything else.
My son took us to Bones last night for his Dads Birthday. My husband and I have been there 2 times before(a few years back) and loved it, but everyone was underwhelmed this time. The Filet was dry and overcooked(ordered medium rare), the sides were very average at best, and the service was so mediocre. My daughter had to go upstairs to find our waiter so we could order wine after waiting maybe 20 minutes for the waiter to come back to our table. Left with a $600 bill and one person didnt even have steak or a drink, so $600 for 4 people for a very average dinner is just unsettling. Will not return to Bones.

Atmosphere was great and so was the service. The appetizers and bread was what amazing. The entrees were good but we fine dine often and it didnt seem like expensive food. I had the veal lamb chops and most of it ended up in my napkin because the meat was so tough to chew. My husband had salmon, he said it was good.
The food was good. Everyone was friendly. The waiter in the lounge, Brad, was great. Our waiter at the table was staring down my wifes shirt while taking our orders which made us both a bit uncomfortable. He refilled the water at the table several times, but never refilled my coke.
Absolutely loved this place! This was my sister and I first Christmas together. My sister booked reservations here, we were politely informed of the dress attire required. Upon arrival we were greeted respectfully and asked if our coats needed to be hung up. From the moment we entered until we exited we were treated with high class and thoroughly enjoyed our three course meal. We will definitely tell all of our family and friends to visit! Will be back!
On service we give it five stars. As far as food quality we give it average.

This place exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend Bones for your steak night.We got the tuna appetizer...it was high quality, but wasnt worth it. My soul wanted steak.I got the wet-aged 24 oz porterhouse, my wife got the 8oz mignon. Both were out of this world. Porterhouse was good to the last bite. They got steak down. For fun I added a lobster tail, it was treat as well.Truffle mashed potatoes were the right amount of rich. Garlic broccoli came as advertised.The only thing that left me wanting was the mile high pie, it was just ice cream. The whipped on the outside was fantastic, but just ice cream over all.The decor was stunning, felt high end. The wait staff was exceptional which is what you expect when you are about to drop a ton of dough on meat. Highly recommend.
The service here is just absolutely impeccable. Everyone was extremely kind. Our coats were easily and quickly taken to their coat room, and we were escorted to a table downstairs. The first waiter to greet us at the table already knew our name and greeted us as such.Great explanation of the offerings on menu. We had carpaccio, scallops, dry-aged ribeye, and mashed potatoes for the table. DELICIOUS. Best steak of my life hands down - I would recommend not ordering anything above medium-rare here.All in all, from beginning to end, it was a wonderful time at Bones and I look forward to getting back soon :)

Celebrated my birthday here for an intimate dinner. The ambiance and service was next to none. The staff members from start to finish were impeccable, the food was delicious and presentation on point. Couldn’t have asked for a better birthday experience.
Private rooms are available in the basement. Our group of nine had a reservation, but still waited 15 minutes to be seated even though the restaurant was almost empty.Three members of our party ordered 8oz filet mignons, and all had problems. One medium rare was served well done and they replaced it promptly. Another medium rare was served medium well, but was too heavily charred and had a burnt taste. The other steak was ordered medium and came out that way, but was described as chewy. One person ordered scallops which were described as perfect.
Absolutely one of the best steak house restaurants in Atlanta with exceptional service and making it well worth a visit.
It’s hard to put a place like this into words, but I’ll try.If someone told me that I could eat at Bones, once a week for the rest of my life, but at the end of one of these meals I would step outside and get hit my a MARTA shuttle… I’d take that deal.And hear me on this, because if I can persuade one of you to do it, I’ve succeeded. Get the wagyu. Yes it’s a ton of money for a cut of steak. But get it. It’s literally breathtaking.Brilliant restaurant, staff is perfect. What a beautiful experience this was.
I can see why this place is so pricey - they do steak and wine and they do it RIGHT. Went on a Friday after 6PM and it wasn’t too busy but did pick up as we dined. Don’t bother going without a reservation (they’re seating every other table now so it’s even more limited). Had 6 servers waiting on our section of tables so if you needed anything at all, they were at your table in the blink of an eye. The complimentary bread is so good, it’s hard to stop eating it. I got the 35-day dry aged rib eye, and while I did taste the difference, I would just stick with a regular rib eye. All of the sides were spectacular - highly recommend their loaded baked potato (wow, the salt crust on it is amazing). You can expect to easily pay $200+, and if you’re a drinker expect $300+.Their dress code is listed on the website but most people are casual - wear something a step above jeans and sneakers.My ONLY gripe would be that I wish they had self serve parking available because of COVID, I don’t like having someone in my vehicle who has been in EVERY other vehicle.

Firs time going to Bones and it was spectacular! The service was outstanding and the food was scrumptious. The Waygu steak melts in your mouth. My fiancé and I had never tried it, but I had read about it and we decided to give it a try. Best decision of all time! Unlike regular steak, it didnt irritate our stomach. It was very smooth and delicious.The ambiance was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Well definitely go back.He lives in NY and his favorite steakhouse here was Sage Woodhouse Grill. Now they are number 2. My favorite was Ocean Prime in New York. It is now also number 2. LOVE this place!

Intimate yet fun setting; very professional, personable, and well knowledgeable team; Prices not worth the quality, cut, or prepare/cook time of meal. Ordered a bone in aged dried ribeye, to be cooked medium.. was delivered as rare. After a few bites, I couldn’t stomach it but chose not to say anything considering our wait times had been long enough and frustrating up until that point. End up just ordering a slice of cheesecake to take home. Definitely the most expensive I’ve had, but was really good. Bones Salad is exceptional — so good! Would compare the steak at Bones to being no better than a Longhorn Steakhouse. Want a great steak, go to Ted’s! ☺️

The waiting area is nice, with large chairs.We were seated at a table decorated with confetti for my girlfriends birthday. Every person we came in contact with said happy birthday. They quickly filled our water glasses and brought hot bread. The staff was very attentive and kept our glass filled.The steak was very palatable. The sides are a la carte but the sides are shareable and will feed two to three. The mashed potatoes were very savory. The service was impeccable from the waiter to the man who filled the water glasses. Everyone was friendly and professional. We will go again.
Some people say this place feels dated. I tend to agree, but thats not a bad thing at all. Bones has an old-timey feel, like youve been teleported to a less frantic time. Theres no deafeningly loud music playing, theres no overly weird and trying-to-hard-to-be-unique dishes that make your eyes roll, and the atmosphere is that of sophistication. The staff was extremely well trained and their interactions with us were always delightful and efficient. The dim lighting complimented the atmosphere and enhanced the natural beauty of the steaks we enjoyed. All the food we had was incredibly delicious and came out on time. You have to get their hasbrowns as well, theyre theyre best in Atlanta. The prices were high, but very appropriate for the quality of food we received. If you ever want to have an old-timey date night with a sophisticated ambiance, Bones should be your number 1 choice.
I hope this doesnt rattle any bones, but this place is brittle and not strong enough to support a good experience. The positive is that they have a dry aged ribeye steak that will send shivers down your skeletal structure and they have a classy vibe/feel, complete with white tableclothes and red suits. But the joints that would hold a place together; such as customer service, respect, and a good experience; is falling apart. In short their are some strength s but it doesnt allow the place to be held together well.
I have heard about how great this place is for years. Every time I tried to go, they had no reservations. This time, we managed to get in. Starting off, they were about 15 minutes late to seat us from our reservation despite having open tables. We tried onion rings, Caesar salad, French onion soup, filet mignon, corn pudding, and hash browns. Not one of these items was remarkable. They werent bad but they definitely werent $200 good. Overall, I likely wont go back. Ive had better steakhouse experiences elsewhere around Atlanta.
Bones is the stable of Atlanta for steaks. We have been coming here for a while, but never taken the time to share the the outstanding service we always receive whenever we come here. You want a great meal in Atlanta? This is the only spot to come to!
Staff was very kind and straight to the point. Food was really good. Steak was great! The lobster Mac was mediocre, they added fried onions to the top. Ew. But other than that the experience was great!

Always a great meal and a go to steak house when in the area! Staff always does a great ob and the service is top notch. Steaks are cooked to proper temperature and very high grade of meat. Sides are like any nice steakhouse they are sharable and very good. We have eaten here on several occasions and always had a fantastic meal and excellent service. I would say this is a must do if in the area. If you want to eat at a great steakhouse book this place you will not be disappointed.
By far the best restaurant I have eaten at in Atlanta. The food is absolutely amazing and they treat you like royalty. Thanks to them for making my anniversary extra special.

We just celebrated my birthday tonight and our experience was wonderful. From the moment we walked in we were seated promptly. The food was phenomenal even my mom said she will give this restaurant a 5 star rating. We loved our waiter he was very patient and knowledgeable about the menu. My husband who loves steak said his was phenomenal! I especially loved my Birthday cake slice. We will definitely be back.

My family wanted to try this place so we went for my birthday. Bones is a quaint restaurant. It reminds me of an older resturant from the late 80s maybe. The food was just okay and we waited a long time for it. With all the reviews I was expecting to be blown away. I was under whelmed. Maybe my expectation was too high.
The service was Exceptional, every server is highly skilled in the industry. Probably one of the best wait staff Ive seen. Place is just perfect. Error is not an option here they will make sure you leave Happy.

We didnt have to ask for anything or waiter was so knowledgeable about the menu and wine choices. We will most definitely be back! We also enjoyed our anniversary dessert! 2022-01-23Exceptional service from the moment you get out your car at valet to the moment your car is returned.Came here after all research saying this is the best steakhouse in Atlanta.The lobster bisque was very nice and lots of lobster chunks. Snapper cooked perfectly. Sides we ordered were tasty. However, I’d like them to have been warmer.We had such a nice experience…it was the first time in a long time we all are planning to return separately.

2022-06-11I cannot fully express the INCREDIBLE first-time experience I had with Bones and their staff. It was beyond exemplary. The truest form of white glove service from beginning to end. I couldnt of picked a better place to throw my husband a surprise birthday dinner party and I cannot think of any event planning experience Ive had prior that was as frictionless as this one. You just cant go wrong, from the drinks, to the food, the ambiance. They even decorated the table & room for me AND at the end of the dinner the server even stood on a chair to get the best photo possible of our group. And to Jared, I couldnt of pulled this off without you - you are a national treasure, thank you for everything!!!!

2022-02-28I have been wanting to try this place for a while but it was very underwhelming. We had a reservation for five at 8:30pm on a Friday. The entire party arrived on-time, however, we werent seated until 9pm which is the time that the restaurant closes. I was seated in the isle but was not a fan because people were bumping into me as they were walking past the entire night. We ordered our food and it didnt come for about 45minutes. Which means we didnt eat until an hour after closing.We ordered Two steaks, short ribs, fish, Foie Gras, Grit fritters, asparagus and mashed potatoes. Both of the steaks were undercooked and 4/5ths of the table agreed that the food was underwhelming. Once the steaks came back, they were tough and the potatoes were flavorless. The things we enjoyed were the Grit Fritters, I liked the Foie Gras and the person that ordered the fished enjoyed it.I also wasnt a fan of our primary server, Trevor. He mentioned that he had been drinking and was visibly annoyed whenever we requested something. He also ended up comping the two steaks because he admitted that they were undercooked since he put the order into the kitchen late and rushed the chef to get them out to the table. When orders go into the kitchen late, the entire table suffers because we all got our food late. He gave us free dessert but I personally dont eat sweets so it didnt really mean much to me. Our server gave us our checks and left before we could even pay. We had to flag another server down to check us out.The server John, that checked us out was far nicer and I have a feeling that we wouldve enjoyed our dinner more if he hadve been our server the entire night. John is the only reason why I might try this place again. He was really great. I might come back but I would sit at the bar or anywhere else besides Trevors section.

2021-12-2417Dec2021 - I am not sure what all the hype is about, dont get me wrong the food was good but thats just it, good, I dont feel that it was so above and beyond anything Ive had elsewhere. The baked potato was on some type of potato growth hormone mixed with steroids, giant (the largest baked potato I have ever seen in my life) again, good, but not mind blowing. The asparagus was like tree trunks, I actually didnt eat half of it because it was too thick. And...the soda was not free refills, I had 2 standard sized diet cokes for $6, I could have had like 6 litres for that price. Also, we were seated near a room that apparently was being used for a group, and that group was loud and drunk, literally yelling and swearing at each other, disrupting our experience and the tables around us, the staff made several trips into the room to get them to be quieter to no avail, after the third time they should have been removed.

2022-03-28This was our first time at the restaurant and it was a very good experience. We were treated courteously and the food was very tasty. I had the lobster bisque and it was rich and light. My steak was served at the perfect temperature and my wife’s salmon was very fresh.Only criticism is that I don’t think they have a covid protocol. Many people were packed in a small space and I saw a waiter hugging customers.With that said, we will go back sometime.
