First the upsides: They present with a pleasant demeanor, both on the phone and in person. They have a great system in which, after they inspect your car, they send you a link which shows you pictures and descriptions of your cars problems and estimates for each repair. Then you can check the ones you want to do, omit the ones you want to skip and authorize the repairs, all with a few clicks. Now the downsides: Theyre massively overpriced. Many places change a diagnostic fee if you dont do the repair there. But the convention is that, if you have them do the work, the fee is applied towards the repair. Not here. Even if you have them do the work, you have to pay the diagnostic fee on top of the repair cost. But thats really only a minor complaint. The more major issue is the prices they charge for the actual repairs. They presented a lengthy list of recommended repairs for my car. I thought the prices seemed way too high, so I checked with the dealer. For every single repair, Braxtons price was at least 50% higher than the dealers price. In one case Braxtons price was nearly 5 times higher! Braxton wanted $1560 for a repair for which the dealer charges $344. Everybody knows the dealers arent cheap, so if youre charging more than them, youre way overpriced. Had I done all the recommended repairs at Braxton it would have cost me several thousand dollars more than the dealer. Sorry, I just cant throw away money like that.
Got an oil change and they told me I had a coolant leak and they top it off. Im 100% sure its not rapidly leaking. The next morning I check ny truck and there is no coolant. Picture is attached. I feel they where trying to destroy my car on purpose. To add further insight to injury they disenabled my warning alert on the control panel in effort that no warning signs could be visible in case of over heating. Now I have to go to Land Rover of South Atlanta to get my oil change verified. Why any of tjis happened being it was first time there without an ounce of conflict is extremely disturbing. Maybe no makeup made them retaliate against me hoping to destroy my range rover. All I can do is pray you reap what you sow. Never again will I travel 30 minutes in traffic to visit this place.
I’ve been servicing my 2018 VW at Braxton on Howell Mill Rd for most of the 3 years I’ve owned it. I’ve done pretty much all the services you can think of, from oil changes and cabin filters to spark plugs and engine diagnostics. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating (especially Bobbi and Jason who I see/speak with the most), and the service tech always explains thoroughly what the issue is and the alternatives, if any. The environment in the shop is calm, clean, not chaotic at all. I’ve really appreciated how I’ve been treated as a customer. I highly recommend them, especially over service at a dealership that usually quotes 2-3 times more.
Purchasing a vehicle is stressful enough. Finding an honest repair shop is just as stressful, especially when there are so many shady garages out there. Thankfully, Atlanta does have a genuinely GREAT (in every way) repair shop that everyone should be going to, in my opinion: Braxton Automotive. Best value, quality workmanship, super friendly staff. Take the stress out of getting your car serviced and make an appointment with them today. Youll have a new garage for life.
Honest, straight-shooters, professional, people I would trust.I came in with a Volvo I had just bought used. I mentioned some issues I wanted fixed. They quoted me some estimates to fix certain things, and also some estimates just to take a look at certain things, so they were very upfront about what things would cost. After they looked at it, they let me know very professionally and honestly that there were a lot of problems and that it was probably not economical to fix and also that they would not feel comfortable working on it. They gave me probably an hour of their time to just teach me about what the problems were and I was very thankful. At the end I went to pay for the quoted prices of inspecting the car that we had already agreed on and they said don’t worry about it “you don’t owe us a dime”.Although I did end up fixing up some stuff myself and going to a slightly shadier garage to fix the rest, I still appreciate how straight they were with me. I do think they typically work with slightly higher end/nicer cars (mine’s a 2010 with 200k miles) so I think they get a little bit spooked with less nice cars, but they’re very professional and helpful in any case.In summary, they were honest, upfront about what to expect, and reasonable. They helped me a ton and I didn’t have to end up paying anything.
The folks at Braxton tracked the engine light to the specific piece that needed replacement and then even suggested that it may be under warranty with the dealer, taking their doing the repair out of the equation. That’s honesty!! It was a result of an accident so I ended up using Braxton. Excellent quality and generally just nice people. A pleasure.
I’ve been taking my car here for 5 years now. Honestly this is best place I’ve gone to service my BMW. The staff is very professional and they always get the job done in a timely manner. They are also honest on what repairs need to be done to ensure your car runs smoothly. Thank you Braxton Automotive!
Braxton Automotive group have serviced my Land Rover for several years and they continue to remain professional and knowledgeable about your vehicle. Service appointment times are always on time when scheduled. I appreciate the feedback and input that I have received from Bobbi during this service visit! Braxton should be your go to when you need service!
My bmw have been serviced at Braxton for 6 years. I have had oil changes, tire replacement, engine dropped, coil replacement etc everything you can name done on my 550i. I have never got chance to write a review until now. Braxton has the best customer service skills always had my car up and running with no problems. It is hard to find a good mechanic shop. Only if they worked on Porshe’s. I have recommended family and friends that was also pleased with the service.
Had a great experience at Braxton as a first time customer. Bobby at the service desk was able to get me on the calendar around my busy schedule. My tech consultant Maurice was personable and welcoming, asked how I was doing and made sure that my XC90 was taken care of and had no other issues for me to worry about.I highly recommend Braxton for those looking to get their Volvos serviced!
Not the best experience, not the worst. They charged a ton for diagnosing my car ($130), recommended additional services I didnt need, and their estimate for replacing my alternator was $600 more than the VW/Audi shop where I normally take my car. They are friendly and professional which is probably why they have such positive reviews, and that counts for a lot, but if Im going to save almost 50% of the estimate by going elsewhere, thats what Im going to do.
Braxton was a great choice. I was referred here to get some work done on my BMW by a friend whos had a couple different cars there. The staff was great- communicating promptly and with great attitudes. My BMW potentially needed a very costly fix that Global Imports was trying to force me to do ($5000!). The technician worked with me and was able to find a workaround that resolved the issue at a small fraction of the price. While this likely isnt going to be the case for most situations, what I appreciate is Braxton working with me to find the root cause, and resolve the issue without trying to hang me out to dry with the price.Ill only be taking me car to Braxton from now on. Thanks again for the great service!
The team at Braxton is wonderful. After years of being overcharged at Global Mini Imports for routine and major services on my Mini Cooper, I did some research and came across Braxton Auto. I first brought it in for a new battery, and they were great. When it was time for my next oil change, I decided to give them a try. Not only was it SO MUCH less than what I had been charged at Global for the last 7 years, the staff was friendly and explained exactly what was done. They didnt push me for additional services that were unnecessary. For anyone who has been hesitant on taking their Mini (or any European vehicle) to anyone outside of the dealership, I HIGHLY recommend giving Braxton Auto a chance. You wont regret it!
I went there a couple of times and can’t complain about their service but I am always a little bit skeptical when they say something needs to replaced because they advise to change the oil twice as often as recommended by car and oil manufacturers. If the oil companies say that you should replace the oil only every 12 months (if you don’t drive much) I go with their recommendation and not with Braxton (who say you need new oil every six months).
First time here. I walked in for a emissions test and sam was very friendly and professional. It was typical $25 flat fee. I was in and out, will be back next year for another emissions if not sooner for servicing as well. It was clean and comfortable and coffee and water were available. Highly recommended!
The easiest review that I have for Braxton is that they make it a joy to take my car to the shop for repairs. I have not had a service advisor at Braxton to treat me without the level of courtesy and respect that I hope for in every interaction. They are quick to get my car in for service and if they need more time, they are honest to say so in order to give me the opportunity to leave my transportation or make an appointment and come back when we can all benefit. I have always received a phone call to inform me of charges, options, and completion times that have always been accurate. I even get a follow up call to let me know when they are ready for me to come back and get my car. They are very kind and easy at every step of every transaction and I am on my second car in as many years.
Had a great experience when I brought my 2006 Mini Cooper here. Lindsey was the staff member who worked with me and she was amazing. She made sure I was aware and understood everything being done to the car. She emailed me a summary of everything along with sending pictures of the car. As someone who doesnt have much car knowledge, this was so helpful in making me feel reassured and confident in the work being done.
I spoke to someone named Jason which he put my appointment in the system “wrong”. I feel when he noticed that I was black “African American” he was disgusted. His whole tone changed. He said that he needed my vehicle for more than 24hrs w/ appointment just to see what parts I needed. He missed out on money and great feedback for his business. Next time be more accommodating as you would your Caucasian customers Jason. God bless you.
Braxton has done all the work on my BMW since Ive had it. (A little over a year). Always give very detailed account of issues they have found, and have stayed true to quoted pricing. Quick service and always follow up to ensure no issues post repair. Jason has handled my account on every visit and I have been thoroughly pleased with service. Customer for life.
Ill start by saying Im the kind of guy who can spend weeks researching a business, a product or a provider in order to get the best of the best, and that just what I got with Braxton.I was looking for a place that could service my BMW 328i at a level up to par with my usual place (which is way too far), and after some research I landed at Braxton Automotive. The experience was incredible from the beginning, I called and spoke to Bobbi and explained what I needed done, and she not only explained in detail every single thing, but did so with such care and commitment to service I thought I was talking to the Ritz Carlton concierge for a moment.I brought my car in, was greeted by Bobbi and one of the mechanics, and they took care me as if they had known me for years! Now heres the kicker: At the end of me telling them what I thought I needed done, they said We will of course run diagnostics but honestly I dont think it will be necessary to do item #3 right now since you still seem to have a good amount left...WHEN IN THE HISTORY OF MECHANICS HAVE YOU HEARD OF ONE WHO TELLS YOU TO HOLD OFF ON SOMETHING YOU DONT NEED!?!These people are honest, professional, highly trained and most importantly, incredibly nice and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for top notch service for their car.
After ditching the dealership, Im so glad to have found the Braxton team in Atlanta. Great location, appointment times are convenient, the entire staff is friendly and helpful even with post-appointment questions. These guys are fair, honest and they take pride in servicing my car properly, no hidden up-sales or sneaky charges. They are happy to give me the price-to-expect out the door when I make my appointments. Prices are competitive - I always feel comfortable here - WIFI in the waiting room is a huge bonus. happy to be a repeat customer!
I have been going to Braxton for twenty years with my BMWs, and I cannot say enough good things about them. Steve and Jason are always very personable and professional, and they really get to know their customers. I trust the people at Braxton, and, whenever I buy a car, I always limit my search to Volvos and BMWs so I can stay with my mechanic!
Braxton Automotive has been servicing my BMW 335i for the past 4 years. They are very knowledgeable and consistently do great work. The prices are great relative to the dealership prices for the same work and their is no difference as it relates to quality. Their team is very professional and I highly recommend them for any type repair for which they are qualified to handle.
As a brand new BMW owner I wanted to make sure my new investment got the best maintenance and care. I walked into Braxton Automotive and greenlyed with a kind courteous smile. Knowing zero about BMW the associate spent 20 mins with me welcoming me to the BMW family and telling me all kinds of facts about my car. The oil change as done quickly and flawlessly. The mechanic came out and also spoke to me about my new car. It was very refreshing to be treated like a customer and not a number. Will definitely be back.
I have a 2007 Mini Cooper and for the past 11 months my check engine light was on. I took my car to multiple auto shops and they could not find the problem, until I took my car to Braxton Automotive. Braxton Automotive is the place to go, my check engine light is no longer on and my car is running much better than before and Bobbie provides A+ customer service.Thank You Braxton Automotive
Braxton Automotive Group has impeccable service and elite staff. Braxton is my preferred auto repair shop to work on my BMW x5, and has been since April 2015. If you want a mechanic that will be direct, knowledgeable, and walk integrity take your ride to Braxton. Again - the quality of service is hard to find and worth every penny!!!!
Great customer service. Car broke down in traffic and I opted to have it towed to Braxton despite never using them as a mechanic previously. Upon diagnosis (basically KIA) the techs were nice enough to walk me through the issues multiple times. Even further, they allowed me to keep my car on their premises for a week or so while I made a decision, then an additional week when I had to go out of town for my Grandmothers funeral. Although their quotes for repair was a bit higher than other shops in town, if I was to have repaired my car at all, I would have easily went with Braxton and had total confidence in them.Only downside- One of their techs kept calling me Justin..but like thats the only bad thing I can say about the whole experience. Cant complain there.
This was my first visit to Braxton Automotive and I can’t thank Jason enough for his professionalism and excellent customer service. He is very knowledgeable and made sure that I understood exactly what was going on with my car. He visually showed me on my vehicle what was wrong, explained the part functions, and what services would be required. The technicians repaired my vehicle as quoted and it was completed as promised on the day of pick up. I highly recommend Braxton Automotive. You couldn’t ask for better automobile service and repair. My car is running like a brand new car.
If you have the type of car that Braxton services, you would be remiss not to use them. Thoroughly professional, always willing to explain things and definitely a value compared to visiting a dealership, I have always been pleased to use Braxton. I work almost exclusively with Jason and he goes above and beyond to explain what needs to be done in terms that any layman could understand. I once had the misfortune of having to tow my car to a dealership because it was the weekend. I later checked with Braxton on the cost of parts and labor that the dealership had charged me and for comparable work, they would have charged me $450 less. Never again will I make that mistake. Braxton has my business for life.
Great guys- customer service is their top priority. I brought my car to them for a second opinion, after a dealership advised me to pay $1,000 for a repair. The Braxton guys told me that the repairs were not necessary, and saved me $1,000. I have brought my car to them ever since then for repairs and oil changes. Their charges are very reasonable.
Take your car over there at your won risk. A simple check engine light to diagnose, they couldnt find the issue but said coolant hose had leaks, paid $2300 to replace coolant hoses and a day after I got my car back, weird noises from my engine. Confronted them to fix my car because my car was running fine without anything noise and they refuse to do it for free but expect me to paid them another $1300 to figure out the noise because they claimed they didnt touched that part of the car. I planned to sue these scammers. My car was OK before I took it to them, now Im over $2500 in money paid to them and without a car.
Better hospitality than your dealership. I took my range rover sport here for a regular service and to get my brakes pads changed. Sam answered my call and set me up with an appointment , they offered me a cab ride to my office after dropping my truck at Braxton. Service was completed on time as expected and a full detail explanation was given about the service and the brakes pads. Sam was very polite and answered all my questions. I will go back to Braxton and continue to use their services.
Taking a car for any type of service is my least favorite thing. However, since taking both vehicles to Braxton for little over three years, getting root canal done might be my new least favorite thing. Customer service clearly stands above many other repair shops I had a pleasure to deal with.Once again, during my recent visit, I felt that they did care how much I would be spending on service. When I questioned the recommended manufacturer service, I didnt feel pressured by Braxton staff and I felt that I was getting an honest and unbiased opinion (...you do have to initiate the questioning, just like with any other sales pitch).Putting 5 starts down, but really having a hard time with it - just because car repairs are expensive and Braxton is simply guilty by association. I did price them out against dealerships and Braxton is more cost effective without the sacrifice of quality.
Excellent service - every time! Ive been taking my BMWs to Braxton Automotive for years and have NEVER had a complaint. Everyone is customer service friendly, honest, and always working hard to make sure my automobiles are running in tip-top shape. Thank you, Braxton Automotive, for always doing a great job!
Braxton automotive has been my go-to for my 335i for the past four years. They have an excellent staff thats always polite, courteous, and willing to go the extra mile. Even better, they are less expensive than the local dealerships with, in my opinion, far better overall service.
Braxton Automotive was recommended to me. I called and Anthony instantly took all of my details and assured me that they could assist with my car service. I was quickly scheduled for a next day appointment and even received a confirmation text later that evening. Very reassuring.Day of Appointment - I arrived before my appointment time, but it was no issue. I jumped in an uber, headed to work and received a prompt call a few hours later that the work was complete and my car was ready! Music to my ears.I am a huge stickler for customer service and Braxtons standards are top notch. They are conveniently located and super friendly! Thanks, Braxton Automotive. Ill be back!
The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I have been there twice so far and both times the service was handled quickly and correctly at a fair price. They are now my shop of choice for my BMW. After years of going to the dealer for service it is great to find Braxton. They offer better service and are much easier to deal with.
This was my first time going to Braxton and the experience was great! They were very professional and friendly. They kept me up to date with the status of the repairs as well as provided a nice, clean, itemized list of what was being done so that I knew exactly what to expect. I plan to make them my shop of choice for working in my Mini Cooper whenever needed.
The team at Braxton automotive were very professional and very knowledgeable. They were very thorough with their assessment of my car. They did not pressure me into doing any work on the car that I was not ready to have done. I find them to be a great team who cares about their customers.
We have been taking our 2007 BMW 3 series and 2009 Acura MDX to Braxton for almost 2 years now for every single maintenance and repair item and have never had a bad experience. I have even called around a few times to get second opinions and estimates on work they quoted me for and they are always on par with any other business Ive gone to for a second opinion. They are always prompt and really strive to get you the best price and fastest service possible, and you can tell they genuinely care about their work and their customers. I really appreciate that they understand my needs at times when several repair costs stack up and they always help you make the best decision on which items need to be addressed immediately, and which items can wait to be repaired at a later time. I highly recommend and wouldnt take my cars anywhere else!
Braxton Automotive on Howell Mill provides botched oil changes and poor customer service from Owner Steve Braxton. I had two botched oil changes over a one year period with the most recent being 1/2015. Oil light came on next day and found car was 2 quarts low. Even with that I called 3/2015 to get brakes done. Manager assured me they would take care of me and make up for past discrepancies. While I was en route, he called back to say the owner Steve doesnt feel we can provide a quality service to you given the failures of the past. WTH? He said the owner felt if I didnt have confidence in them in the past then they probably cant meet my expectations. Mind you they had a note on my account that the technician was reprimanded because of the botched oil change. How is that my fault? Would not recommend this Auto Shop to fix my sons toy car...
Well, Braxton has done it again! Back on the road safely. Those guys have accurately diagnosed the problem with my 2005 Range Rover. Jason kept me informed and guaranteed all work done. I know my dream car wont last forever. But with Braxton Automotive, I will get the most millage possible. Bought in 2008, pre-owned lease, currently 160,000 miles, and going strong. Thank you Jason and all of Braxtons loyal employees!! U r the best!! I put my trust in u guys for the past 2 years and u havent let me down yet. Once, I even had my car towed to Braxtin for a problem I thought might cost me hundreds if not thousands. Come to find out, I hit a control switch that put the car in low gear, preventing me from driving. No lies, no tricks, Braxton quickly found the problem...and didnt even charge me. Honesty doesnt get any better than that!
This is the very first time Ive had an experience with a mechanic where I didnt feel like I was being conned out of time and money. These guys (Anthony in particular) really went out of their way to help me out with the purchase of a used Volvo; when it turned out the transmission needed far more work than was first expected, they worked hard to make sure I could fit the repairs in my budget and still have a safe, reliable car. I will be returning for any service needs that come up in the future. Thanks Braxton Auto!
Excellent service with honestly and integrity!!! Always pleased with the level of quality work and professionalism!!!! Duke A Terrr,sr Great Team lead by Jason to work with!!! I have been a devoted customer for 18 years, since March 2004!!! So I highly recommend them!!!!
I was referred to Braxton Automotive by my uncle, and could not have been more thrilled with the service. Anthony was wonderful and very clearly explained everything with my car in a way that was very easy to understand. Could not recommend these guys more. Will definitely be going back for all future services to my BMW.
June 10th, 2020 I came in for my first visit, i’m very impressed. The Customer service is OUTSTANDING, thank you Jason. They give you honest recommendations on your car, the service is quick and efficient. I use to go to the Mini of Kennesaw to get service done and would wait 5 hours, for an oil change and BS service recommendations, never again. If you have a Mini cooper you should give this place a try. I will definitely be back!
I have a 2011 Mini Clubman and had it taken to Braxton. I was extremely impressed with the level of service. Sam communicated great and knew everything there is to know about my car. Im never going to the mini dealer again. Only Braxton from here on out. Thank you Braxton and Sam!
INTEGRITY. This place has it. CUSTOMER SERVICE. This place understands what that means and they provide it. Competence, attention to detail, organization, sense of urgency, follow through... its all there. Two mechanics at another (domestic) shop recommended this place, and Im glad they did. I have been trying different BMW shops for 3 years, trying to find the right one. I just found it.I was there at different times on two consecutive very busy days. I was able to observe their entire staff and lots of individual interactions. The WHOLE STAFF was very professional. One of the repairs on my older vehicle presented a unique challenge. Both my service advisor and the shop foreman went the extra mile to make sure my repairs were done right and in a timely fashion. I was very impressed with the service I got and that I saw provided to others. It seemed like half the people who walked in the door were greeted by name.Of all the shops I have been to, this one is by far the hardest one for me to get to from where I live, and its THE ONE I will be going back to.
I took my 1997 BMW 328i there for a tune up, it cost me over $800. I did it myself for $95. No kidding. I really wonder why people think Im this much of a fool, maybe because Im a female? I refuse to be ripped off this horribly. Sorry Braxton, you may provide good service, but it isnt much cheaper than the Stealership. Since then, Ive found a certified BMW tech who will do my tune up for $350, so If you guys can match that then maybe Ill give you a good review. Braxton also replaced one of my brake light casings, which has since then given me problems with my brake light staying on. The brake light bulb socket was broken after I got it back from them fixing it, so I replaced that. It will not fit right in there, causing it to fail intermittently. I was not satisfied with that repair either. I dont look forward to fixing that one, it will cost me about $240. Thank the lord I know people in the BMW business, otherwise Id continue to be ripped off.
Went to Braxton last week to resolve a battery, CD/DVD issue and the service provided by Jason and Sam was great. Sam was my adviser during the process and he was super helpful and provided guidance throughout the process. Highly recommend Braxton Auto for BMW repairs....
Terrible experience and took forever to get a simple oil change. They serviced the person who showed up after me first, makes zero sense. No communication on my vehicle via the point check and they didnt even inflate my tires. I will not be back. Awful customer service. I would leave zero stars if that was an option.
Customer service is good. However, 3 trips to them within a week and $2,400 later I am not a happy camper. Not to mention they had the audacity to ask me to refund them $10 for gas they had to put in my car. Because my car was on E after all the road test they done on my car. At this point Im beyond broke after coming up for money to get the car fixed and to get a rental car and you ask for $10 before you hand my keys over. Mind you my car takes premium gas so I still had to scrap up gas money to get home which took close to an hour during rush hour traffic...smh
I would never consider writing a negative review on a business unless there were repeated negative experiences....as I have had with Braxton Automotive. Here are some examples of the repeated negative experiences:I requested an official brake inspection and an oil change. Once my service was complete, the advisor demonstrated the width of my brakes and said that my front brakes were very bad and the back brakes were getting worn and would soon need to be replaced. I asked them to give me pricing on front brakes and confirmed the details so that I could get addition quotes. So of course I left thinking that they did a brake inspection. WRONG. They didnt. I know this because I called back after misplacing my quote and they said they didnt have a record of doing a break inspection. I also know they didnt do the brake inspection, because when I took it to another shop to have new brakes put on the front. I asked them to also check my back brakes just to be sure. Well, my back breaks were much worse than the front brakes. If I had known, I would have had them do the back brakes first. Unfortunately I wasnt able to front and back brakes at the same time. So basically, Braxton, lied about providing the service and gave me bad information. BTW,I found an excellent shop about 3 miles from Braxton that would provide the same brakes for about $100 less.Another situation, when they put new tires on my car, they did not put the wheel lock back in my car. So that caused an entire day of inconvenience. And of course, they were not going to replace it.I asked for a quote to get the light bulbs changed on my halo lights....they quoted me $160.00 for each light bulb replacement and said it was because they needed to remove the bumper. When I did my research I found out that it wasnt as complicated as they made it seem (to justify $160)....it cost me $40/each to replace. I guess this is a situation of them trying to overcharge a female.Another situation - this is the one that cost me the most. I was told that I had an oil leak. The cost to repair was around $400.00. I approved the repair and had the work done. A couple of weeks later, my oil light came on. I took it back into Braxton and they said I had another oil leak. Again, I said to fix it.....$385. A couple of weeks later.....my oil light came on again. I took it back to Braxton...you will never guess.....Another oil leak. Then I was told that they dont necessarily take the time to find the exact leak...they basically either go with the most common or they look at the oil spray location and repair from top to bottom.I will say that because of the oil leak situation, Mr. Braxton, did give me free wipers. He is a very nice man, however, I think he has lost touch and control of his technicians.I unfortunately have recommended Braxton to so many people and hope they are not experiencing the same issues. Bottom line...DO NOT USE THEM. Yes they are nice, but they will charge you a fortunate, lie, mislead, misrepresent etc.I would however recommend, P & D Auto. They have been in business for over 30 years. They work on everything from an old ford to a new ferrari. They are only a few miles from Braxton.
Braxton’s has been servicing my BMW for approx 10 years. I am a hard sale when it comes to my car. Braxton has earned my loyalty. Whenever I go to have my car serviced they let me know the problem if there is a problem and the solution. Thanks Jason and the entire team.Angela R Bell
My name is Holly A., and Ive been a customer of Braxton Automotive for 14 years, theyve been the only shop to service my last three Volvo’s. Braxton Automotive has always operated with the highest level of integrity and honesty, and have provided excellent customer service at all times, as Ive watched them expand over the years. I get great value, with the expertise of a dealership. Repairs are prioritized in order of importance and I never feel pressured to do anything, I just get honest advice. They answer all my questions, and take the time to show me what needs to be done on the car. They have a clean comfortable lobby, with free WI-fi, coffee and bottled water, and they also have accommodating hours of operation. I have to say, I love Volvos, but actually my dream car is a Mercedes Benz wagon, but I absolutely refuse to buy a car Braxton Automotive doesnt work on!
Excellent service, they take really great care of my mini. I switched to them after moving before I was going to the dealership and my car seemed very problematic ( like an oil change would turn into breaks being replaced several times in less than a year) at Braxton not so much and everything very straight forward and my car not so problematic
Braxton Automotive is the the very best European Automotive repair shop Ive ever experienced. The staff and technicians are very knowledgeable and are very courteous. They have been servicing my Volvo XC90 for six years and we have never had one complaint. I personal reckoned this repair shop anyone. Sam Davis is usually who I like to deal with.
Braxton has proven to me over and over why I will continue to take my car for servicing. They are knowledgeable about the automobile they service. They are respectable of the people who trust them with their car and they are great group of guys who enjoy what they do. My hat off to Jason, Sam, Anthony and the entire team.
Each time I have came in I have had a great experience with Braxton Auto! I would highly recommend anyone with a BMW to get their cars serviced here! They are the most friendly group of guys and the prices are much more reasonable than any dealership! Thanks for the amazing service!
Its not easy to find companies with great customer service and compassionate skills. If youre a person that likes to be more involved and knowledgable on the maintenance of your car; I highly suggest Braxton Automotive. Signed an International student far from home with an 05 Volvo S80
I had an unfortunate situation with my wifes LR4, and Braxton Automotive did the right thing and made our loss less painful. They know what they are doing with these European brands, and they are fair business people who do the right thing by their customers. While I wont be buying another LR, I would definitely recommend Braxton Auto to anyone who owns one.
Over the past week, Ive taken two used vehicles in for pre-purchase inspections. The first vehicle, had many Fault messages stored in the systems computer. When Sam was initially reviewing the inspection report with me, I didnt know what to think. All I heard was fault messages. He took the time the carefully explain what they were, and how they were not evident in any active faults, but that they had occurred in the past. I was grateful for his patience and explaining things in a way I could understand. I ultimately decided against that vehicle (overpriced from a dealer who wouldnt negotiate), but its all worked out for the better. I took a second vehicle to them of the same make and model earlier this week, and the inspection came back surprisingly clean. Janice even commented that she had to double check the year of the car, because she was impressed with how good of shape it was in. Very encouraging to hear and after putting my trust in Braxton Auto, to provide a solid pre-purchase inspection, I am buying the vehicle. Its impossible to fully trust mechanics these days, but theyve done enough so far to earn my future business with my new(to me) car. Thanks to all of the staff who Ive talked to or dealt with so far. See yall soon
Ok.... Twice I have stopped by there for quick minor repairs and the team provided EXCELLENT customer service. The whole team is super friendly, and both times they explained the problem which was at minimal and the 2nd time no cost to me. I will def. bring my cars there for major service when needed. You can tell good people who arent trying to rip you off, especially with cars, and Ive found them right here! A nice family-owned environment!
I have gotten my Land Rover serviced here for over a year now and they have truly exceptional customer service, great prices and do efficient, high quality work. They know and love both the cars they work on and their customers and give knowledgeable advice and prompt responses to any questions or concerns. Cant recommend them highly enough! Great service all around.
By far amazing!!!! I brought my bmw 328i in because someone advised me I needed shocks in which I did not! They did an overall review of my car and informed me of everything I needed and didn’t need. I would most definitely be back and would definitely refer and recommend them.
I travel to Atlanta for work and to visit family. I often have my Volvo XC90 serviced at Braxton Automotive. The service techs are always very polite and informative and my car is always ready as promised. Prices are competitive and the experience is much better than bringing my car to the dealer. I will continue to bring my car for them to service!
This business is so far, ridiculously AWESOME!!!! I recently purchased a VW CC sport. Found recently that i have a vibrations which occurs past the speed of 65. I had the car checked by two different places. one physically and the other but the description needed given. I was quoted 1300 from one place after they drove and looked at it and 900 from the other from the description of what the prior had given. This place was recommended by a friend of mine and they went in , told me EXACTLY what is needed and its less than 500$ with labor!!!! And Mrs Bobby... awesome personality with a beautiful soul. I spoke with Chris and Jason on the phone.. they were very knowledgeable and I felt Informed after speaking with them as well. I highly recommend them so far. The repair will be done tomorrow and we will see the quality, but so far sooooo freaking good!!!!
This was my first and last visit!!! I took my Range Rover in to replace a radiator hose that was leaking. I drove it in on Friday afternoon so they told me that it would not be ready until Monday. I decided to leave it there. The next day one of their service guys called me and told me that the right front side of the truck was leaning and that it was an indicator that the air strut needed to be replaced. He asked me if I would like for them to check it free of charge. I agreed to it. I thought it was very strange because the vehicle alerts you immediately when there is any issues, even minor problems such as low washer fluid or the lip gate light going out, and I NEVER got any alerts on the suspension. When I came in on Monday to pick it up the same service guy told me that the air strut needed to be replaced and it would cost 1500 dollars for the replacement and labor. Then he proceeded to say that I should replace both of them because when one goes the other one is sure to go after. I told him I would come back later as I needed my vehicle. Right off the lot the vehicle was driving really strange! First thing I noticed is that the air suspension kept on dropping and refilling on the right side which was the problem area they identified. When I would brake the center column would shake and this never happened before. When I drove up parking garages it would struggle driving up and would peel out. The truck would shake when driving up or down hills and I noticed immediately that there was something very wrong. Then the error messages started showing (which never showed up before!). I immediately called the shop and told them about this and he said to bring it back in. At this point I was very hesitant as for one, I took it in for a minor repair and ended up with a suggestion for more repairs in excess of 3K.. mind you with issues that I have never experienced before with this vehicle since I purchased it!! I took it in to the dealership and explained what happen, left it for 3 hours and Land Rover called me back and said that who ever worked on it depressurized the air strut, took off the wheel hub/well cover, and loosen one of the hoses on the cross link valve, which is what caused the leak and prevented the air strut from being able to fill up. To top it off they didnt even put the screws back aon and the wheel hub was hanging! The techs at Land Rover told me that if the wheel cover would of fallen off it could of potentially caused a serious accident. In addition the tech at Land Rover told me that it was also good that I took it back to them because driving it around like that could of also damaged the air pump and that would of could cost me 5k to replace it! After all of the above the Land Rover techs looked at everything and it turned out to be a 600 dollar repair from a leak in the valve .. Braxton Automitive are crooks!!! What they did goes beyond unscrupulous and is theft of service... They literally tried to get me for 3K for repairs that where not necessary, however I was wise enough to get a second opinion from the dealership who apreciates my business as a buyer and ended up with the real repair at a fraction of the cost. I should of checked their reviews as there is a handful of 1 star ratings from this place below...
I recently had my brakes replaced at Braxtons for my BMW 530. I went to another shop and I was told that I needed brakes, rotors and shocks. The shocks were needed to stop the front end vibration.Jason @ Braxtons agreed with the brake and rotor replacement, but disagreed on the need to replace the front shocks. The tech determined that the front end vibration was being cause by the worn rotors and not the shocks. As you can imagine not having to replace the shocks saved me hundreds. Thanks Braxtons for a job well done and for saving me money on the shocks.RDowell
This is the bestplace in Atlanta to bring your car for service. The staffs level of professionalism is great. The timely expertise and high level of repair services cant be beat. The owner Steve Braxton makes you feel like family . I love this place!! Highly recommend for all car services
I brought my Prius in this morning to determine why the maintenance light was on. They began looking at my car within 5 minutes of my arrival and, after a thorough inspection of my entire vehicle (I watched them from the waiting room), they told me that my car was fine and speculated that the the maintenance light was just a premature oil change alert. They were courteous and polite and they did not charge me a dime. I will be bringing my car here from now on!
Had service on my car today and was an overall good experience!! Would have given 5 stars had the car wash been working since that is suppose to be part of the service. Liked the service dept., however I could never actually buy a car from them because they are one of the dealerships that automatically tacks on a bunch of extras at about a 1000% mark up!!!!
They were very nice, but very over-priced! I have an older Mini Cooper, which I just bought used, and so I knew that it would need some sort of tuning-up done to it. However, I went in for an oil change, and the laundry list of things that they came back with was incredibly expensive and a lot was apparently unnecessary. They wanted to flush the cooling system for $169.17, but theres nothing special about this cooling system! I had it done at Xpress Lube for $59. They wanted to replace my fan belt (which they, confusingly, called a drive belt) for $153.07, and when I got TWO other assessments, nobody agreed that it needed replacing. They said that my air and in-cabin filters needed to be changed, for $106.21. I bought these filters on Amazon for $25 total, and all I had to do was pop the old one out and pop in the new one, which saved me a lot of money. This went on for many more things. They even told me that I needed new windshield wipers, but I just replaced those about a month ago, and they work wonderfully in the rain! There were also a couple of big-ticket items that Im now very weary of including a $463 power-steering fluid flush and hose replacement. I found the special fluid that Mini tells me I need to use, on Amazon for $26, and Xpress Lube said that theyd knock $20 off of a $69 power-steering flush if I brought in my own. Im keeping an eye out for any possible leaks (I should see some drips on the pavement below where I park), but Im in no hurry to blow this much money! Again, very friendly people, but I feel nervous that theyre trying to pull as much money out of me as they can because I drive a high-end car. P.S. Im a woman, so I wonder how this factored in.
I took my 2009 Mini Cooper there to have the an oil change, 2 new tires and alignment. Basically, their prices are not different than the Mini Cooper Dealership. They do not provide your transportation to/from your location and you wait for hours for your vehicle. On the visit when I got the 2 new tires and alignment, I waited there for 4 hours until my vehicle was ready. 3 days later a tire warning light came in the car; I took the car back they did something (not quite sure..maybe just turned off the light??); however, they did replace a taillight bulb at no charge. While I was there, they asked if Ive noticed that my car was stalling to start. I stated, Im not sure; it cranked fine that morning...I never had any problems. I was asked if i wanted them to check my battery and to see if the alternator and starter was okay. I first said yes, then the guy went to walk away. I stopped him and asked, is there a cost for this? He turns around and says, yes- $44.99. I said, oh, no thank you. I dont have any money for you to Check that right now. He says, you dont have any money. I said, No, I dont have any to pay to have my alternator/starter checked, so please just charge my battery and Ill go. (Im thinking...is he serious! $44.99!)I left and drove 7 minutes, parked, turned off car, got back in car 10 mins later and the car would not start. I called Braxton Automotive back and asked if there could be a reason why my car all of sudden will not start..could someone may drained my battery even more versus charge it? I was so dissatisfied with they reply I got. He said, well we told you that your battery was low. Do you have someone to give you a jump? I said, No. He said, Oh well, if you have AAA call them. At this point, I had nothing else to say. I just said, thank you and hung up.I called my AAA and they came charged my battery, gave me a printout that showed my alternator and started were good. And after talking with the AAA gentlemen, he replaced my battery right there and did not charge for labor.Braxton employee once said to me that they use the same quality parts as Mini does that why the prices are the same however, they offer better personal customer service. Well, I totally disagree...Braxtons personal customer service rating is down as far as Im concern.
Dishonest! Dishonest! Dishonest! They got over on me big time. I always take my 328i to the dealership for service but I know that ends up being costly so I decided to try something different and take my car to a shop. I drive by Braxton Automotive on my way to work everyday and I looked up the reviews here on Google and they were mostly very positive. So my car started shaking one day out of the blue while it was running. I researched what might be the issue. My conclusion was bad ignition coils. So I take it into the shop and a man by the name of Anthony helped me out. He told me they would do a full diagnostic on the car, I told him I already had that done at the dealership so I know what all I need fixed on it and I can give him the print out if he liked. He didnt want it and said we will do a full inspection of our own. My appointment was for Thursday at 8 am. I dropped the car off on Wednesday evening the day before. Anthony didnt call me until 3 pm on Thursday to tell me what was wrong with the car. He said I was right it was the ignition coils, he proceeded to tell me those are faulty coils and go bad on 328i models all of the time and the car has 6 of them that need to be replaced and BMW knows that so they have standard coil packs in stock. I said how much would it cost to fix it? He said right around $700. Naturally I thought wow that is a lot of money but I needed my car so I told him to go ahead and do the work. Something wasnt sitting right with me about the cost so I phoned up a mechanic back home, he told be coils dont go bad all at once so I didnt have to replace them all at once. Anthony never mentioned that!!! I was called at 5 pm to let me know my car was ready for pickup. The repair took less than two hours. When I got to the shop I wanted to review what I was being charge. He presented me a bill with one lump sum. I asked to see a break down for parts and labor, he told me his system does not do it like that so I said can you at least tell me then? I paid 160 in labor and $450 in parts. I looked up bmw coil packs online and the cost is around $200. I asked Anthony about what the mechanic back home said about the coils and he said he is right. But they recommend replacing all six at once so I wont have to keep coming back. I am upset because I was never given that option. If I knew I only had to replace one coil to get the car fixed then that is was I would have done. I was never given that option! He said I did tell you something to that effect. What???? No he did not. And then he said well I am not going to sit here and argue with you. I was not looking for and argument, I just wanted to know why I wasnt given the option. Why would I just dish out $700 if I didnt have to? I would have opted to get the one coil fixed if I was given that option. Also I had a $100 charge for the diagnostic. I was never told the diagnostic would cost me $100, if so, I would have declined. I just had one done with BMW. Anthony told me he did tell me about the diagnostic charge also. He did not. Long story short this was a lessoned learn for me. There are just dishonest people in the world looking to get over instead of gaining a lifelong customer. I know now to always ask what my options are and shop around for pricing. I will never take my car back to this place as I was deceived and over charged. Anthony did remove the diagnostic fee when all was said and done. I ended up paying $668. Thats at least $300 more than what I would have paid if he had been fully honest and given me the option to just fix the one coil.
When a valve cover gasket was replaced on my 328i, I was informed by Braxton that a seal was not put in properly by a braxton mechanic, and that was the reason I had to leave my car there overnight, when I was previously told that it would only be a few hours. Then, the next day when I finally got my car back, after having to drive someone elses vehicle to work the next day, I realized when I got home and looked over the job that was done, that one of the bolts on the back of the valve cover was not even tightened one thread.. After the extended wait period for my vehicle and the bolt not being tightened any, I am extremely wary of this service shop.
I worked with Anthony and he was so nice! I took my 2013 BMW x3 to get a couple things done (pump for window washer; fluid flush, oil change, check engine light on). Anthony could complete the first 3 things - the check engine light problem was still under warranty so I had to take that to the dealer. Ive been looking for a local foreign shop and I believe I found one! :)
Recently, I went to Braxton Automotive because my volvo xc90 dashboard would just power off while driving. I met Sam, who is very personable and a joy to work with. Sam listened to my concerns regarding my dashboard issue. Because of the attention to detail, I have made Braxton Automotive my car care center. The team at Braxton Automotive...I give to tumbs up!
These guys delive some of the best and most personalized service I have found in the car repair biz. I started going there when I had my X5 to save money over the dealership. I sold the X5 and now drive a jeep, but I still get my work done there. I recommend them if you are sick of walking out with huge bills from the dealer.
Went here based on reviews. Upfront customer service will make you think youre at the right place but please dont be fooled. My volvo had lost power so I paid them $100 to do a diagnostics test. they found one of my ignition coils was bad. The red flag is when they stated i also needed a timing belt. The timing belt had been replaced 20k miles ago and was pratically still new. I decided to get a second opinion and when I opened the hood at my second place one of my screws was stripped, another was missing all together, and a rubber tube was not reconnected. It was like a fourth grader had put my car back together. The other place also found the ignition coil to be bad but it wasnt the one Braxton said was bad.
Long story short, in order to get my (now) junked, 02 Volvo back from these people, I had to purchase $360 worth of tires that I NEVER AUTHORIZED nor will ever use. There was a bunch of double talk from the guys---one thing said over the phone, then differently face-to-face---which was very frustrating. I should have known something when I called to see if they would check the car (like theyve done previously, mind you) and I was given a speech about how they dont have room to keep the car on their lot. Excuse me??? I never asked for the car to be stored there, I simply needed someone to put it on the machine, get the codes, and tell me how much to fix it. Im pretty sure they saw my cars history in their computer and Sam wanted to make sure that they got some kinda money out of me this time (I dont remember paying for the diagnostic last visit). Needless to say, Im pissed and I have every right to be! Putting 4 new tires on a car that I EXPLICITLY TOLD YOU would not be repaired if the costs of repair were over a certain amount was dumb, Sam...and I was forced to pay for it. Hell, I guess Im the dummy, right? If you ask me, hes as slick as his hair looks and I dont take kindly to my money being taken from me.
Biggest mistake I ever made was to have them do an oil change back in 2013. Overfilled oil in a 10+ yr old engine. My engine is still suffering from that. Recently I found, that overfill caused oil to come up to intake via PCV and went to turbo and every place you can imagine. Since that damned oil change, I have spent $$$$ on this engine. They practically delivered the ultimate blow.NEVER TRUST ANY GOD DAMNED MECHANIC!!!Always check thoroughly before you get out of a service/repair shop.
Fantastic Service, personalized support, and was very patient and understanding with me when they found serious issues. Sam especially was very helpful and it is a place that I feel comfortable with going back to. They will even call you a ride if you need to leave your car there for an extended period of time.
Braxton automotive worked on my vehicle in the past and I had good service..my last two visits werent as plesent the front desk guy sams wasnt knowledgeable on bmws and seamed to be a fast talker...a little flustered from an alternator failing two weeks after an admissions testand diagnostics test(@braxton automotive) i expressed feelings of consern then about my car not always starting and was assured everything was fine...i felt a little tension while asking questions in relation to my alternator like why and what could it be how much it cost est?i then asked to speak to someone else because it felt a lil resistance after asking if he himselfsam Was certified but sam said he was the only one available..while two sales men stood behind him.Sam told me he would be handling everything but i no longer wanted his help..I returned for my car 6 half hours later..and nothing had been done...i was told it took five hours to charge a battery. And it only been on for half an hour..upset from a waisted day i asked for my car back.i returned a day later to scheduled a appointment because i took time off to handle my car business..apon walking in i was approach by sam and was told they would no longer service my vehicle...the customers not always right here and alot of questions might stop you from getting your car serviced...disappointed by the experience i expected more

2022-04-27Jason and his team were great to work with. They were thorough, efficient communicative. They take detailed pictures of your car so you can see everything going on and all recommended repairs are explained in detail. I feel confident going to Braxton because I know they will not only take care of my car, but they’ll also make sure I understand what’s going on and what to prioritize and keep my eye on.

2022-04-03I am now a new, permanent, customer of Braxton Automotive. I took my car there after Mini closed my nearest dealership. I knew my car needed an oil change, and since hitting 100k mikes, it was time for general inspection. Other than brakes, I was told there was nothing wrong with my car! Plus, they were able to fix the side mirror I had broken! Braxton’s pricing on the mirror was almost half what the next closest dealer had quoted! I couldn’t be happier I found them. Trustworthy, fast and priced right!I worked with Vinny! A class act!

2022-05-23I have been using Braxton Automotive for about 5 years now. Always very honest about the work and fairly priced. Understood European cars are not the easiest and cheapest to work on, but thats something you know when buying one.Highly recommend them to others

2022-05-03Bobby is great but Im not sure if Im satisfied just yet. Im experiencing issues with my car that I didnt have before the service work. The shop manager agreed he heard a knocking noise but I didnt like his explanation because it sounded like wear and tear but I didnt experience the noise until after they worke on it. Im suppose to take it back tomorrow. I took my car in for diagnostic test and brakes. I said fix what they determined was wrong (I pnf before the work was done), but now my car runs worse and sounds loud. Hopefully I will be able to give a five star and wont have to pay additional fees to fix something I know I wasnt experiencing before they worked on it. Ive never experienced any problems before but of course its been years since Ive been back to the shop before now. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

2022-05-19I have been going to Braxton for about 15 years. This is my second Mini, and they have always been honest and helpful, and just so dependable. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat... and I have. It was always super hard to find a good mechanic that I could trust, and I am so glad I finally found one!

2022-03-08Jason is great to work with. He is very informative when explaining the diagnosis of the issue and what it will take to make the repairs. Everyone up in the front of the shop are exceptional. We wouldnt let anyone else work on my wifes Volvo XC90.

2022-05-26Point blank, do not take your car here. I’m not sure why there are so many good reviews. Unless Braxton picks and chooses who they screw over or none of these people ever getting a second opinion I’m not sure why they would ever recommend them to someone. My husband and I took our LR4 to Braxton for a diagnostics after purchasing. We were told multiple things needed to be fixed. After listening to recommendations on the large ticket items we went ahead with the repairs. Post repairs we were still having issues and Braxton told us there was nothing wrong with the work that had been done. We have since had a land rover dealership look over the car….the brakes and rotors that had been installed in the car were after market items that the dealership said would NEVER be recommended to be put in an LR4 and that’s why we were having issues. (Seems to me a “specialist” should know this) Along with this 4 of the other 5 “recommendation” to fix by Braxton the dealership said were not an issue at all.To Braxton, please to not respond or reach out. An apology is a waste of time given the situation and “fixing” the issue is a joke if you believe I would ever let you touch my car again. To the public, find someone else to fix your car. Braxton is a joke.
