My friends and I spent Christmas at the Brunswick Manor and it could not have been better. The house was built in the 1880s and was decorated brilliantly! But, what made it so special were the Innkeepers. Bill and Thomas could not have been nicer.... Bill, who has been at the Inn for 8 years, is by far the reason our Christmas was so awesome. He is just one of those people who makes you feel special and his attention to detail is spot on. I assure you what ever they are paying him is not enough! Each morning we had an awesome breakfast but the last was particularly special, a peach breakfast cobbler!I assure you I will consider Bill a friend for a very long time, he has a heart of gold and truly wants those he hosts to feel his warmth.Thank you, we will be back!
A Great big Thank you to Owner for a great weekend at this Beautiful place if you are a lover of antiques you can spend hrs looking at all the beautiful decorations and furniture and beautiful gardens We felt like kings staying there in our beautiful room the staff was just outstanding and so knowledgeable about Home and city And Omg the breakfast in Dinning room was served as you are a royal guest breakfast Sunday morning was a peach type of casserole I think. I loved it so if you looking for a great a reasonable price place to stay ,pamper yourself and stay here. Thanks again guys we can’t say enough of our appreciation of your hospitality .
Walking up the steps to the Manor we were extremely impressed by its historic beauty. The door opened as we made our way up and we were met by a big smile from Thomas the “In Keeper” The manor is full of history. It’s absolutely amazing. From the big beautiful paintings all the way to the the smallest of antiquities that seem to make you feel as though you’ve stepped back in history. Thomas gave us a great and information about the Manor. We stayed in the Sea Island Suit. It was perfect! Clean and cozy. The evening “In Keeper” Jonny (so sorry for the spelling) was also great. She took great care of all our requests as well. This is a beautiful B&BWe look forward to a return stay.
Not typical of your fancy hotel with gadgets the Brunswick Manor has something even better. Honest history, a sense of being there and the soft music of the 20s & 30s in the background. The decor is of the time and you can spend hours taking it all in and be swept back in time to a less hectic era. More importantly, Thomas and Bill there to make it an all around fantastic place to stay. Cant wait to see them again, as they are now a part of the family (as far as we are concerned). They even made room for our granddaughter to stay the night in our room with us and set a place for her at breakfast. They treated that little 6 year old like a princess, and she absolutely loved it. I am going to miss the mornings on the beautiful front porch, with a cup of coffee and watching the sun lift the dark away from the moss covered majestic trees on the property and the park across the street. Cant get down there as much as we like, to visit our granddaughters and our son and daughter in law, but when we do, we will be staying at the Brunswick Manor from now on. Wish we didnt have to come home so soon, but when we are able to go back, we have another home waiting for us.
Thomas the innkeeper of the house was very nice and very polite. He well presented himself with both breakfast that we had while at the manor. We loved how clean it was inside and was amazed at such a good job Thomas is doing. Keep up the good work Thomas. Our rooms were very nice and clean and in top top shape. We will definitely be back Thomas. Thanks for everything.
Me and my wife was doing the Peaches to the beaches yard sale, so she made us a reservation for Friday night at the Brunswick Manor. It was absolutely amazing. The innkeeper Bill was such a delight and very knowledgeable on the history of the manor. Saturday morning breakfast was sausage gravy and biscuits with eggs. I really enjoyed the time we stayed. I highly recommend you staying there. Bill thank you for your hospitality.
Id have to write a book to tell you how fantastic this place is. We visited at Christmas time. The decorations were exquisite and magical. And behind all the Christmas glitz was an historic mansion which is impeccably appointed and spotless. Our host, Thomas, was gracious, welcoming and pleasant. No detail was left undone and every need was promptly attended to. Great accommodations, great location. Cant wait to stay here again.
Cant say enough about how wonderful our stay was at Brunswick Manor. Even though our stay was short we found Brunswick Manor was beautiful, rich in history and so inviting. Bill was warm, gracious and full of historical facts about the home. He gave us a great tour. There is wine in the afternoon and if its not to warm outside there are ample places to sit or swing on the veranda. The property has a nice area to explore outside. Rooms are very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was simply awesome. Ken and Meredith are as gracious as Bill. And last but not least they are pet friendly.Would definitely recommend staying at Brunswick Manor, you will not be disappointed.
Incredible place to stay! The house is gorgeous but the stay is made 100% better by Bill, one of the innkeepers, who really makes it a home. The breakfast in the formal dining room with the other guests was the best part. We stayed in the Downing room, which was our favorite. The surrounding neighborhood is full of gorgeous homes and makes for nice walkabouts. Definitely give this place a try! Well be back again.
Very beautiful home so inviting and relaxing. Bill was so friendly and so helpful, he really made you feel at home. They have an amazing collections of antiques and nicely appointed and clean rooms. Rusty the it her inn keeper was very friendly and gave us useful information on the town and the history. His breakfast was amazing so yummy! This place is a true gem and takes you back in time. I highly recommend staying here if you have the chance!
We love this place! We love bill, the most fabulous inn keeper ever! The beds are soooooo comfy! The ambiance throughout is extremely elegant and at the same time has this comforting you’re home feel! Very laid back! We enjoyed the grounds (the green house and garden and koi pond) are gorgeous! Breakfast was on point coffee was piping hot and done perfectly (we love our coffee;) We are so stoked this place is just a few hours from us we are already planning our next trip! I bet Christmas time is gorgeous! Thank you Brunswick Manor for the awesome stay! I hope your rates continue to be so generous we truly love it here and want to bring the rest of our family and friends next trip!!! Five stars!
Nice location in a lovely town. If going to St Simon Island then this is the place to stay. It gives you a flavor of a small southern town. Squares in area are well maintained with trees and flowers. The B&B is welcoming and genteel. The Sherry in the afternoon is a nice touch. We stayed in a large double size room with a great breakfast for little more than a chain motel. Hostess was charming.
This is way over due, but we visited in the beginning of August and I can not describe in words how amazing it was. Beautiful house and grounds. Bill the innkeeper was fantastic! Full of knowledge of not just the manor but all of Brunswick. Breakfast alone was 5 stars, and that coffee! I hope to visit many times in the future.
Historic. Great location. Innkeeper Tracy was fabulous. She helped me with all of my requests. We loved the gardens and koi pond. We enjoyed chatting with the other guests over wine in the evening and eating breakfast together in the morning. The breakfast was superb. We stayed in the Cumberland room which had a king size bed, which was very comfortable, and private bathroom.
My husband and I stayed here for a couple of days as we made our way from St Augustine to Savannah and we couldnt have been more happier with our choice to stay at this b&b! It is absolutely gorgeous! We stayed in the Cumberland room. The breakfast each morning was delicious and they did a great job accommodating for a vegetarian. Steven and Bill was fabulous hosts, anything you need, they were always happy to help! We loved hanging out on the porch. Also loved seeing all the community cats! We cant wait to come back!!
Brunswick Manor is amazing! The house is stunning, the rooms are cozy, the food is incredible (Tracy manages to surprise every single morning!), the bar is always stocked - what more can you ask for? Its in a beautiful neighborhood and a short walk to downtown, to boot.
We stayed here in early December. The Christmas decorations were truly astounding. The staff was wonderful, and the complementary red wine was exceedingly delicious. We sadly missed the breakfast due to other obligations, but looking forward to coming back to try that too.
Our stay didnt happen. Back in April we booked and pre-paid for a room on June 4th. When we arrived, we were told our room was already occupied and not available which left us without overnight accommodations at 4PM in the afternoon (with a large convention on Jekyll Island). We were given a refund and a good-bye wave.
I am so delayed in writing this review... We were there back in November for my birthday and surprise proposal! It was an absolutely magical weekend trip. We stayed in the Sea Island suite and it was so beautiful and relaxing! Tracy is one of a kind and absolutely amazing! We were late checking in on Friday night and she left us such a sweet note with plenty of dinner recommendations! Breakfast both Saturday and Sunday morning was stellar! I’m a picky eater and it was so delicious! Can’t wait to end our honeymoon there this coming November!
The best decor of any B&B Ive ever been to. I loved the painting of the dog with the Charles de Gaulle hat. Rusty was a super laid back, nice innkeeper. If youre thinking of staying in Brunswick instead of Jekyll, do it!! Its such a chill place to stay. Choose Brunswick Manor. It was delightful and relaxing.
Great first time visit. Tracy and Bill provided a great breakfast, tours, and suggestions to explore the neighboring islands. Nice wine bar and snacks- Bill even let us put some leftover food in the refrigerator and warm up to eat for lunch the next day. If you want a quaint B&B experience, then the Brunswick Manor will fulfill that desire!
Very rustic, and historical BnB. Stayed in the Cumberland room. Very spacious. Ccomfortable King sized bed. Private bathroom. Flat screen TV. Clean, And eclectic. No individual AC control for the room. Almost like an English manor, or museum with all the antique decorative pieces, and art. Open wine bar. Breakfast was great! The live in, innkeeper Tracey was very helpful, accommodating, friendly, and gave great info on places to visit and eat. Limited off Street parking, but plenty of on street in front. A nice koi pond and orchid greenhouse, with statues about the property add to the feel. Pet friendly BnB, and a few kitties roam the property. Very conveniently located to St Simons Island. Nothing bad to say aboit this place at all! If they had a pool I would give 5 stars!

2022-07-05My wife and I spent our anniversary in Brunswick Manor. We enjoyed every moment. The staff were courteous and friendly. The breakfast was prompt and satisfying. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. I read a review about the bathrooms being small but that is all part of the uniqueness of being in a location that is over 100 years old. The neighborhood is quiet but close enough to the restaurants to walk or drive. Highly recommend

2021-10-20Our stay at the Brunswick Manor was a fantastic trip back in time. The stately mansion is well kept, expansive and uniquely furnished with ALL things early 1900’s! The inn keeper, Thomas, plays a major role in seeing that all of your needs are taken care of while preparing substantial, delectable breakfasts.Today’s morning meal consisted of sausage and gravy over biscuits (flash back to my grandma’s…!), eggs and a fruit medley. Fresh coffee served from a vintage carafe! I know we’ll be back and hope Thomas is here to welcome us again!

2022-02-08After my stay at Brunswick Manor, I went to Savannah and stayed at a well-known historic inn. In any comparison, Brunswick Manor wins hands-down. The food at breakfast is amazing, served with a silver coffee service. Each setting has fruit juices and water plus a full breakfast, which can be adjusted to your needs/preferences.I felt like I was a guest at Downton Abbey. Plus Craig puts out the best food. In the afternoon, have a lovely break with wine and snacks. Craig even gave me 8 fresh chocolate chip cookies to take with me one day. The rooms are filled with interesting pieces and the beds are comfortable. There is a huge parlor to relax in and a looong porch with lots of seating. I used the Manor as a base for exploring both Jekyll and St Simons Island. I definitely recommend Brunswick Manor!

2022-04-01Johnny was real nice, then it went downhill unless you like creepy. Heard old music from the hall all night. Exterior grounds a mess. Ten minutes late for breakfast but the food was laid out for us getting cold. Surprises galore, but not a good value. We enjoyed the other guests. Found a good gastropub, Reid’s Apothecary.

2022-03-15This was way too overpriced for what you get out of it. the bedrooms are nice but the bathrooms are terrible. tiny toilets and showers that barely work well. the loud jazz music that plays in the parlor 24/7 will fill your room so you cant sleep. breakfast is only served around 8 so if you dont sleep well because of the music oh well... I told all of this to the manager in the morning and they just shrugged at me.

2022-04-11Really beautiful mansion & grounds with a lovely host. I really enjoyed my stay and the breakfast in the dining room with the silver coffee and tea pots was so much fun. I felt like I was the lady of the home back in the old southern times. Simply magical.

2020-12-28I recently had the pleasure of spending the Christmas holiday at The Brunswick Manor with family. The whole experience was awesome. Bill King was phenomenal. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented (my favorite was the quiche). He made us all feel like it was our house. He shared the history of the house and the historic area. Bill made himself available to each guest. We all enjoyed our visit so much we are already planning next years trip to the Manor. Thank you for a great visit. 5 stars all the way.

2021-07-19My wife and I stayed most of a week at this beautiful bed and breakfast. The Sea Island suite has wonderful lighting, especially in the morning, and lots of space. The king sized bed is comfortable and the room is cool, even on 90+ degree days. Thomas, our host, is knowledgeable, kind, accessible, and accommodating; he makes great recommendations and cooks some damn good food. The breakfast is delicious and the portions are big! The bed and breakfast is within walking distance to lots of places in Brunswick and also accessible to Jekyll Island and St. Simons Island; its equidistant to Savannah and Jacksonville for folks looking for a quiet place to stay between cities. Ive never stayed at a historical bed and breakfast before, but really enjoyed all the architectural details--Thomas will tell you all about them!--and charm. We definitely recommend staying here!

2021-06-28We stayed in the Cumberland Suite and it was our first time staying in a B&B. It was absolutely fantastic. The staff (Johnnie and Thomas) were just amazing. They were both so accommodating and made our stay so much better. The house and our room was spectacular and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was great and met some other nice people for breakfast which was fun. We definitely will be back!🤗
