I have seen 2 shows here in the last month. I saw rumors a while ago and saw walk the moon last night. I splurged on the vip lounge last night and I feel it was worth the extra cost. We got the corn dogs and pretzels not knowing portion sizes. Wound up being HUGE! Wound up being to much for my wife and I to handle but man we tried! Food was awesome. I really like this venue. Perfect size! Small but that just means its impossible to have a bad view of the stage.
I appreciate the fact that the venue exists but there’s a lot to be desired. The lines to get in aren’t as organized as they should be. The website doesn’t highlight the restricts needed to get in either. They stop serving food pretty early on through the events. Card only for all purchases be it food or even merchandise from artistes(Not sure if this is due to theatre management). The parking is atrocious and unless you’re lucky enough to spot who manages that you’re out of luck. Get there atleast 30 min before to get suitable parking.
My wife and I went to see Dessi Banks at the Buckhead Theatre, the show was great and we really enjoyed ourselves. What I didnt like was the parking, the parking deck was tight and crowded. Also finding your seats was a bit difficult because the rows were labeled with pieces of paper written on them barely visible to your eye. Only the outside seat was labeled might I add. The staff was a bit rude, we were enjoying the show and the ushers kept walking in front of us to let folks know that no photos were allowed in the theatre. I enjoyed my overall experience but there were a few things they could improve on.
Came to see Starset with my husband and we had an amazing time. It was our first visit here. We knew about the requirements to show a negative covid-19 test result or proof of full vaccination for entry. We were prepared to show ours, but we were surprised to walk right in with everyone else and that not even be a thing that happened at the show. There were very few masks in sight, and you can’t expect to practice social distancing at a venue like this. So if you’re really concerned about precautions being taken, keep that in mind when heading here. We’ve been to several amazing shows at The Masq and they were really strict about regulations, I feel like that would be a safer bet for high riskers than The Buck. 🤘🏾
If coming to see a show I definitely recommend getting balcony seats. First time I came I was just GA. And I couldnt see the performance half of the time. But this time around I got balcony and it made all the difference!!! 🥰 I saw KARD first time around. This time I saw CIX! And both shows were amazing!
Was very disappointed in the acoustics and light setup. Spent the show unable to hear any lyrics at all and being blinded by spotlights flashed into the crowd constantly. I was so bad we left after the third song of the main act. Wont be wasting my money not being able to enjoy the music.
I really enjoyed seeing The Magpie Salute at this venue. The venue has recently undergone a renovation. The bar and lounge areas are very cozy. Bartenders were attentive and friendly, as was the staff. Sound quality was great. Its a pretty small venue so all sight lines are good. The balcony was cool and Id like to see a show from that vantage point in the future. Security is very tight.
Good theater. But a lot smaller than youd think. Although it can get quite crowded. There are some tables and comfortable couches to seat, est and drink while youre waiting for your show, but evidently is a bit pricey so its better if you eat somewhere else before you get there.Got charged 20$ for parking in the street for the show I went. So I guess you can expect the same.
This is my favorite music venue in Atlanta.. Just wish they would have more metal shows.. The sound is amazing in there and the staff is so helpful and friendly.. Very nice affordable private bar with private bathrooms upstairs.. The reserved balcony seating is comfortable and provides a fantastic view.. The floor is huge.. Decent price on drinks and cocktails, they also have food available for order if you get hungry and the Public bars that you dont have to buy entry too have good drink prices. I prefer this venue to masquerade and tabernacle its very clean and they actually make you feel like home and, show they appreciate your business there. If something is in town playing there you want to see.. I highly recommended (photos are from the December 19th morbid angel show at buckhead theater)
Came for the Dylan Scott and Seth Ennis concert and had a blast. Awesome venue had great sound and great drinks priced very affordable. A lot cheaper than you normally expect to pay at a concert. We Will definitely be coming back to check out more shows here. No issues on seeing the stage from around the venue.
First time at the venue tonight; genuinely had an amazing time!Venue size is GREAT for a concert, and the acoustics (did I spell that right?) were, seriously, about the best Ive heard at a show. It was awesome. We were on the upper level, and it had its own restrooms which were really clean, with soap and paper towels. Both bartenders I talked to were really nice, though I wish drink prices were a bit lower.... Though I cant say pricing was worse than Ive seen at other venues... Its cool; you guys just keep charging these prices and Ill just sneak my own sh** in! ;).Seriously though, I wont deduct a star since these prices are the norm now...though its still irritating. What else...We ended up paying $20 for parking, but I bet you could do better. We were in a lot behind the theater. Easy exit though, which was nice!Oh! Security was pretty tight on the way in, which I actually appreciated. All kinds of crazies out and about nowadays.Thats it for now; We had a good time and I hope to see a show there again!
This venue is an awesome cozy place to see a live show that seats ~1000 people. It was very clean and the restrooms were as well. The sound, the lighting were all great. The people that worked there that we interacted with were ALL SUPERB, very nice and friendly! I will be back here for another show!!
Location is great. Lots of parking nearby. Theater is spacious and seats are comfortable. Unfortunately, the theater gets pretty muggy throughout the show, so make sure to plan to shed a jacket or coat while in the theater. Drinks are over priced but they are still about what you would expect for this type of venue. Acoustics are great for the most part, but there are definitely spots where it drops off, mainly in the balcony area. Bathrooms are spacious, up to date, and clean.
Went to see Wooli and William Black on January 15th. Enjoyed the show. Got better after they fixed the sound issue halfway through. Absolutely nothing against the artists, nothing but love for them. Probably wont return for another show though due to how disrespectful they treated peoples property. There was a large pile of fans they confiscated from patrons laying outside in the street after the show. I havent had an issue with any other venue in Atlanta allowing me to bring my fan in to cool myself during a show, but apparently Buckhead Theater wants you to die from heat exhaustion. They couldve at least allowed them to store their fans in coat check instead of discarding then in the street.
The venue was updated and nice. However, seating was really tight (for our event at least) to the point where you really couldnt get out once seated without others also getting out. The drinks prices were what I expected. I certainly wont seek out shows at the venue but it was fine.
Very nice venue. Took daughters to Jack and Jack concert. Bought some extras like the lounge but they did not open lounge. They immediately offered me balcony seats which I was very happy to have instead. Otherwise would have stood or been in different areas than my kids, so it worked out. They have nice bathrooms & very friendly staff. Parking was also easy and attached to the theatre. I would definitely attend another event here.
Second time at a show in Buckhead, and it was another great experience! Venue was small and intimate so you really couldnt get a bad seat. The facilities were nice and clean. Staff was some of the best Ive ever had at a concert. Polite, and helpful, and not every to joke around with us. Overal, a really great experience!
I would recommend being seated as close as possible to prevent being unable to see from your respective seat, but the audio was set up well and luckily, I was able to see the stage, performer, and hear everything from Row 21!I was seated in Row 21 Seat 6 for Drew Lynchs show on Friday, May 31, 8pm. I was lucky that no one too tall was seated in front of me and was able to see the performer and the stage perfectly fine. The theatre was well air conditioned too and also had areas before going in that were designated for merchandise and drinks. The staff was very helpful and worked diligently to try to get all of us standing in line outside in the theater quickly. I would highly recommend my row or any rows with less lines in front (on the ground or upper) and would definitely go again!
I may be biased because my absolute favorite band was playing, but this was such a beautiful and intimate venue. There were two guards a tall, skinny white guy with a red man bun and a black guy with dreads, they were kind and interactive. We talked to them in between sets, and one of them handed me a show stick from my favorite band ❤I could suggest a more thorough bag check process as I did witness a girl who showed us her personal protective weapon - non-threateningly (a small arrow knife) get in without question. And there was only ONE bud light can in the whole place 😭
Only my second time at Buckhead Theatre. The Atlanta stop of Ricky Rozay’s tour landed on my birthday. Perfect experience, concert was great , venue was good to me, was able to get a book after the concert. Definitely worth every penny I spent that night ! Would definitely go for more concerts!
Everyone we encountered was very hospitable. Had a great experience here..... if you have any ticket issues they will fix them if it is within their power. Theres a great view from the balcony seats and close to the balcony bar for refreshments. Mothers Finest rocked it!
Atreyu was awesome as always. The Sound was amazing , reminiscent of the magical Tabernacle sound ! Youll only know if you have the place it in your heart . Drinks seemed little higher than normal (4 stars). The place was packed but I hardly noticed. Buckhead Theater is a staple medium size venue for sure !
Intimate venue where you can get up close and personal to the stage. For those not wanting to wade into the masses, balcony seating affords a birds eye view. Buckhead theater is kept surprisingly tidy and access to the clean restrooms is relatively quick & easy. A great place to catch a show.
This was a nice venue. Ive never been here before. The staff was really friendly. a couple of customer spilled drink and I couldnt believe how quickly they cleaned it up. I saw Cowboy Mouth for the first time since 97. They rocked just as hard as they ever did this might have been the best show Ive seen in a long time.
So much fun tonight! Had to take a star off for the spendy drinks. Ay carumba! People werent kidding! 1 shot, 1 wine, and 1 beer = $38. Single shot was well whiskey, beer was PBR tall can, and wine came from a 12oz can. But! The theater was super clean and also the bathroom. The theater has speakers so you can still hear the performance while outside of the auditorium. Well except when drunk Becky is shouting er mer gerd theres speakers so you can hear the jokes. Umm, yes, when people arent talking over the speakers...
I love this venue and am always excited when I get a chance to catch an act that I like here! This was the first time that I sat in the balcony and although the visibility could have been better, the experience was great as always. With both upstairs and downstairs bars as well as restrooms on both levels and a private VIP lounge available, this venue delivers on the cozy, intimate vibe. Without a doubt I will be back the next time I am able. Highly recommended!
Celestial transcendence. Esperanza Spalding is some sort of perfect suivante. A prodigal daughter of high art. With her toes hands feet soul and spirit she transported every member in the audience to into an other worldly space. I Grew that night. Been gliding on happy air more appreciative of myself, others, life and all the limitless beauty around me in between and infinitely beyond.
Nice, low frills venue. The sound was really good at Iron and Wine concert. Beer, wine, and snacks. We had reserved seats on the balcony, and the view was good. The seats are mechanically interesting, with two position options (straight up and kind of leaning back) with cup holders. The restrooms were wonderful, both in terms of capacity and cleanliness. We stayed the night at a nearby hotel and taxied back with ease.
We went here to see a punk rock show. It was fun! Love the slanted floors, great for short people like myself. Bartender was friendly and I tried a new beer that they had on tap -- Slapfight IPA. It was yummy! Non-smoking venue with an alley outside for smokers. A good time was had by all.
Ive been to plenty of concerts in Atlanta, but the Beautiful Oblivion tour was my first time at Buckhead Theatre. Hands down one of my favorite venues to have visited. My brother, sister, and I had a PHENOMENAL time. Its in a great (and safe) location...we were able to walk there from our hotel. The drinks were reasonably priced and the food was SO GOOD! There was a lady bartender at the bar to the right first thing when you walk in that took very good care of us, so we kept going back to get drinks from only her! I cant remember her name, but shes AMAZING! All in all, the venue is great and cant wait to go to more concerts there.
One of my favorite venues. Big but not too big, still intimate. Plenty of bars, seating upstairs if you dont want to stand, they have food which is not that bad. Parking is limited and sometimes the lines can get a little crazy outside with the early entry, VIP, fast lane, and meet & greets.
Nice venue. Ive been to two shows here and I must say I enjoy the layout of this place. There are no bad seats in the house. Whether on the floor or up on the balcony you have a good view. The food and drinks served at the bar are as expected of a music venue. The bar tenders and security are friendly and helpful and I appreciated how clean the bathrooms were! God knows how hard it is to find clean, nice smelling restrooms in music venues!
Nothing too spectacular about the venue. Has floor and upstairs seating. The upstairs seating offers seats and seat backs with cushions but personally I prefer the floor because it is big and wide and offers better viewing angle for the bands. I saw a metal concert here and the acoustics were pretty solid as well.
Ive been to this venue twice. The shows are usually reasonably priced. The alcohol isnt too bad. $12 for a size double cider. I like that they have a balcony with seating. The first time I went the balcony was accessible to anyone. This last time I went it was only accessible to VIP ticket holders. It depends on the show I guess. The venue is all ages so that can be annoying sometimes.
Its a good music venue. Beers and food are quite overpriced, as is available parking nearby. More people would attend more shows, packing the house for musicians that dont bring sellout crowds, if this experience was a better value. After seeing a few acts here, Im sure people ask themselves, before buying tickets: Is it really worth this much $? Maybe Ill catch this band where I dont have to spend $20 for parking and $10 for a domestic draft. Still, sound quality is excellent here.
Attended a concert here and was impressed with the venue overall. Good ambiance and feel to the room. Extremely present and helpful staff are never more than a few feet away.My only gripe was the sound. The balcony and rear of the main floor were good but the speaker arrays were about as far to the side as they can be so if youre toward the center front of the room your in a house dead spot and get most of your sound from the stage monitors, reflected off the backstage wall. Some center fill might help.Overall a good experience though. Would go back without a thought.
Its a great smaller venue for a more personal, close up experience. I commend them for their efforts to encourage a safe and discreet way of women staying safe during their events. I had no need that evening but glad to know its there if I ever do. The Depeche Mode Experience was awesome!! Thank you, Buckhead Theatre!
First off, Im from out of town and this was my first time coming to this theater so I had no clue what to expect. I attended a concert here on march 21, 2019. They have a bar at the entrance, and the drinks were a nice size, but very watered down and not worth the money paid for them. The theater was surprisingly smaller than I expected, but thats a good thing if you want to really feel like youre at a jam packed concert. The security staff werent all that nice, but they could have been from an outside agency so I cant blame the theater itself for their actions. Overall, it was a nice venue for the event and I would definitely attend another concert here if I were to ever return to ATL.
Went there May 2018 to see *Allen Stone. Great show, prime location, gregarious staff. Line was expected to be long for a concert, but they were very orderly. Show started about 10 minutes late. Parking hard to find. However, we paid $20.00 for event parking and walked to venue in 8-10 minutes. Drinks were good $5-10 each. Sofa area in lobby. Sound in venue excellent. Smokimg permitted outside. Standing room only at bottom. Upstairs was seating, but we chose to stand so we could dance. Awesome place for small concerts and/or stage plays.
I visited the Buckhead Theater during the Grand re-opening. The interior is beautiful and warm. The staff was friendly and attentive, the bars seemed well stocked and positioned nicely through out the venue. Most importantly, the sound was fantastic. Whether on the floor or in the balcony, the sound was great. There are parking attendants for lots close to the venue.
As I Lay dying was my first show here. Surprised the heck outta me. Honestly, Ive been avoiding this place because of the name. Sounded too fancy, but I took a chance, and man was it a solid show experience.First things first, Entrance and stage security were friendly. Didnt violate me or treat me like a vagrant, but still did their job. Sweet.Second, bartenders were cool. Cuttin up. Polite and quick. Not the cheapest drinks, but they give you your moneys worth in the pour. I saw 3 bars total between the foyer and the stage.Big open floor area. Wide open and ready for moshing. NOT SLICK. Important for a good pit. But, a balcony up top if youre not feelin it. I didnt make it up there, but looks like the view is good.Sound is ridiculous. In a good way. My ears are still ringing. Crisp sound and no dead spots. If you havent seen a show here, youre missing out.
Dont go for the food. Food service was slow. They lost my order, then it was cold. However, it is a nice concert venue. May hold 1500. The concert we were at only had seating for handicapped. Even as VIP guests, there were no chairs at all. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. The entire place was clean and well kept. There is a parking garage beside the venue, which costs to park, but if you get there early enough, and dont mind a little walk, there is parking in private businesses nearby after business hours, and some parking behind the building.
The theatre itself is beautiful and the lobby is spacious with great drink/food choices. The upper deck seating leaves much to be desired, however. The view isnt great, especially when people in front of you start standing. It was also ridiculously hot up there. We tried to go down to the GA area but there were so many people you couldnt even get through the doors. It was also twice as hot as upstairs and stunk of beer and BO due to the heat.
My wife and I went to what could be the best concert weve ever saw......TESLA !!!!!The theater was great ! The staff was great ! The strangers we watch the show with was great ! What a perfect venue to see a show ! We drive over from Talladega Al for the concert but let me tell everyone that see this ..you better think twice before you stay at Embassy suites in Buckhead ! First off your going to be hit with and extra 50 bucks a day for valet parking not to mention there under construction and it will take you over 30 minutes to get your car ! I really had no problem with that the problem we had was those roaches that were in our freaking room ! Nasty !
Saw Sum41 here and had a blast! The venue was great, clean, and fun. They allowed everyone to jump around and enjoy the music, even allowed crowd surfing as long as no one got on the stage which was awesome of them! The staff and security that I personally encountered were all friendly and having a good time. Will come back for sure
Lounge, guest service folks were great. As a venue yo watch an act on stage, it was not ideal for us. Seating was positioned too close together, front to back, so virtually no room to get out without everyone moving and standing. My wife and I are below normal weight. Also, the slope downward to the stage is too little so seeing the stage from further back is a challenge, obscured view. But it was very nice inside, clean and the crew kept things orderly which is nice to see.
The venue is nice, staff is polite and friendly, but the sound is hit or miss. The group I went to see here were barely recognizable, the keyboard and lead guitar couldnt be heard over the drums. Really bummed me out. I hope my experience was not the norm for this place but I dont know if I will return or not, to find out.
Drink prices are insane. Nice renovations done over the years. No more gross carpet. Good air conditioning. Sound was great. Would give 5 star if drink prices werent so terrible. Cheapest beer, PBR, was $7. $4 for a damn sprite for my son. Even a 5 year old saw the price of popcorn and asked if we could go to McDonalds or Waffle House after the concert instead. Spent $100 for 2 tickets, youd think theyd at least give refills to a kid, especially when hes one of maybe 4 kids at a sold out concert.
Great, clean, organized and fun environment! I attended the Gavin Degraw acoustic concert at this venue and it was absolutely amazing. Of course the show was incredible but the staff were so friendly and professional which actually made mine and my friends night even more fun! Thanks Karen, Jeff, and Jay! There need to be more people like you! Thanks for making our last minute spontaneous event one for the books! We most definitely will be back!
Beautiful interior. Upstairs ushers were overwhelmed and lacked training and the seating tickets were confusing, I literally saw dozens upon dozens of people being shuffled around due to not understanding the seating layout. ... All that said, parking and food was within easy walking distance...seats were comfortable..sound quality good.
It is a decent venue but it is very small to be hold a larger/more popular act, and I know I know it is a concert but in here because it is so small it is super extra loud in comparison to other venues. And one very big downside is there is absolutely no where to park for the venue. So you will drive around and around for a while til you find somewhere you can park.
The food is so overpriced. $4 for a bottle of water. The fries were $6 and very delicious and it was a big basket, but I only bought it because they don’t allow you to bring food and if you leave you have to wait in line again. It took forever to receive my food. They were completely unprepared. We had to wait hours for them to offer us food. There were barely any seats. Security is awful here. They have a parking garage right beside the theatre that you have to pay for but has no security. Do not leave your ticket in your car! And it will only charge you a maximum of $20. The staff were very nice at least. They gave out very few ear plugs for the people up front. I didn’t need an ID to get in but I recommend you make sure to bring one, especially if you are buying alcohol. /P
Great venue, staff was courteous and quick. Prices on food and booze on par for a concert venue in Buckhead. Upgraded interior is beautiful, the sound quality is excellent, and the whole venue was clean and tidy. Multiple bars and areas outside the hall to hang out. VIP section was worth the upgrade for the tasty food included and the private bar.
Ive been to many concerts. On 3/16/19 I attended a concert at Buckhead Theater. It was the most unorganized event Ive ever attended. The staff gave us at least 10 different statements about the line we were in. And Im keeping that to a minimum. It was probably more than 15 different times we were told another story. There were 3 lines. We were told it was the VIP line, we were told it was the general admission line, we were told it was the first 100 line. After waiting for 2 hours outside and finally making it to the door, we were then told we were in the wrong line and needed to go to the back of another line that wrapped around the building. By this point, we just wanted in the venue. I paid another 20$ for early entry so we could just get inside. Ill never attend another show at this venue. The entire crowd was confused as to what line we were in. As far as the venue itself, you have very limited choices of alcohol (beer). The building itself was a nice venue but other than that, I wouldnt give one star if I had an option.
This is a very intimate venue. Great view from pretty much anywhere. Being a smaller venue though, the acoustics can get a little rough for rock shows. General admission is standing room only. Also, I wasnt checked at all in terms of being patted down or by a metal detector. I would feel much better knowing that people were at least somewhat searched. Great staff and overall a great venue.
I finally had the opportunity to visit the The Theater and was thoroughly impressed. Ironically, it was for a Halloween party, but the environment was great. An upstairs and downstairs, both with bars and restrooms, make the idea of seeing a show here a great one! The stage and acoustics had a very intimate feel to it and I was really enjoying the larger breakout rooms upstairs. Im waiting patiently for them to book someone Id like to see, and when they do.... I think you get the picture.
1st time at this location. Love it! Saw Charlie Starr with Benji Shanks acoustic show! Fantastic location, parking close, clean restroom. All seats seemed to be a great view of the stage . Acoustics were great! I drove almost an hour and a half.. well worth the trip. I would return to this location for any show. I would highly recommend. Parking garage with elevator brings you out right at door.
This venue was absolutely awful. First of all, they posted an incorrect start time for the show, and after driving >100 miles to get there, I missed the band I came to see. The sound is absolutely awful. I have never been in a venue that sounded worse than this one. I dont know if its their sound system or the acoustics, but it sounded like they were projecting the sound through a Barbie karaoke machine. They have one very tiny womens bathroom, so women resorted to using the mens room. The problem with this is that there were equally as many men as women at this show, and the staff did not seem to care in the least that women were walking in while men were using the urinals. I dont care who was playing here; Id never waste my money going to this place again.
AVOID THIS PLACE! First of all, the sound system in the venue is terrible. The Lounge upstairs is a JOKE for a VIP area and has the worst quality TV on the entire planet. The backdrop in the VIP section is also embarrassingly small. Especially when there is a huge one downstairs in the general admission area. Come on people this is the age of social media .. DO BETTER! The management is very lack luster about the problems the venue has and it shows. Left the event early because it was such a disappointing experience. Also, when we ordered two drinks the bartender failed to tell us they charge more for a specific chaser. Why they do i’m not sure, since you don’t receive the entire can for yourself. Will never attend another event at Buckhead Theatre.
Very well preserved venue with great acts. Poor rating due to horrible sound and terrible lighting! The declare in the concert area is less than average for a building of this nature. The lobby is very nice and the drink selection is great. To make this place better they need to work on the acoustics, put some lighting under the overhand and some speakers to project the sound under there as well for folks that done get there early enough to be in the front half (which still has so-so sound.) nice clean place, but not the place you would want to see a show if youre a music/concert junky looking for more than just a party.
Great music venue. Good sound, clean bathrooms, and generally good crowd. Large, sightly sloped dance floor. Rear area in case you want to hang back. Couches and chill area toward the entrance.Very expensive drinks. $7 for canned domestic, $12+ for mixed or draft. $12 for a shot of Titos vodka, way too much.
Great little venue! The Allman-Betts band was wonderful! The usher we had could have used some additional training. He waved his arm across a section of seats and saidSit anywhere here and walked off. Those were not our seats and we had to get up and move to the other side of the aisle. The seats were virtually no different so that wasnt the issue. Its embarrassing to have someone elses seat and its inconvenient for all involved. Just direct me to the seat I paid for!
Very intimate venue. Always a great show! Clean bathrooms, coat check, great beer. Only problem is that although all venues are way overpriced when it comes to alcohol, I think The Buckhead Theatre takes the cake. A regular 12 oz can of so-so beer was $8!! Give me a break! Id spend so much more money here of the prices werent stupid ridiculous!
Went to see Allen Stone, the venue was great. Tons of open space In the lobby. They have reserved seating on the 2nd floor and ada seating on the 1st floor. Sound was great. This is located in a great spot of buckhead. Lots of places to dine before a show. Drink prices were reasonable.
I went to my 2nd concert there friday 3/6..We saw Rumors which it a copy of Fleetwood Mac! They were awesome...I mean McKinsey was perfect as Stevie Nix..I loved it..Very nice venue! Awesome sound systems..In December I saw Allman Betts Band..They Rocked the house!I will definately be back in April for the Allman Brothers Tribute..Especially since we were given 2 tickets each to the tribute...I love Allman Bros. So Im sure it will be amazing...
I havent been to this location since it was The Roxy and will probably never go back. I go to shows as often as possible being a music lover, but the experience here was awful. The show was great but everything else really took away from the experience. It was ridiculously hot, drenched in sweat and couldnt breath hot, it also smelled absolutely horrendous throughout the entire venue and a lot of the other patrons were screaming conversations throughout the entire show, making it actually difficult to hear the performer at times. I am not one to normally complain, but as an avid music lover I want to warn anyone else that goes because they appreciate music, not because they want to go to social hour during a performance.
We were at LP concert which was amazing, but 3 hours standing on the heels with no chance to take a sit- it is tough. It was my first time visiting such kind place , In my culture theater has another features , so , it may be a cultural issue for me, but I would never call this place the theater.
We held our annual non-profit event here and it was the best choice we could have made. Great team of people to work with. They did what they promised and more to make our event successful. We felt like we working with people on our team. Friendly, accommodating and professional. If you are looking to an event of any size dont hesitate for a second to call and see what the Buckhead can do!
Its beautiful outside and location is great. The staff are friendly. This was my first time here visiting from out of state. The theatre is clean and appears to be a popular venue for celebrities. I am not sure how the parking is for this location. I recommend taking a Lyft to drop off at curb side. It can get crowded once show lets out.
Great venue for small concerts. The balcony is the only place with seats. The 1st time I went I had what I paid for 2nd row and there was a gap between rows. They decided to add chairs in front and they were so tall we couldnt see. This was so wrong on so many levels. They then put in connecting, non-movable seats for the 1st and 2nd rows. So the 2nd time I went back I noticed this..we were about 5 rows back from the 2nd row. The chairs they added are way too tall. They need to be all the same height. With the 1st 2 rows being like this, you can hardly see. Very disappointing to say the least. If you dont want to see who is singing, you are good. The sound quality in there is awesome for concerts. Bathrooms are clean. Bars are never crowded (upstairs). Easy parking and getting in and out of. Great place. Just lower the 1st 2 rows and chop the tops off the chairs.
We saw the Silversun Pickups here in May. The venue was incredible! Very intimate! If you get there early enough, you can get quite close to the stage. It was an amazing experience to get to see one of our favorite bands only 6 or 7 people away from the stage!!! The tickets were very reasonable, too! One of the best venues in Atlanta that not many people know about!
Like most small venues Buckhead Theater has great sound and not a bad seat in the house. In fact the only seats IN the house were in the balcony. it was so intimate you could imagine Tesla was playing at your house. I know because I caught myself imagining that very thing as I leaned against my wonderful girlfriend who was enveloped in my embrace for virtually the entire show. The 80s and early 90s tunes the Sacramento rockers churned out, seemingly without much effort, brought back an avalanche of memories amd thoughts.all good of course. This night, like many before it,) we sang every word along wlith the band and fell just a little blt further in love as we did
My sister and I went here to see a friend of ours, Flint Eastwood, open for PVRIS, and it is by far, the cleanest concert venue I have ever set foot in. It was spotless. The bathroom was well stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, and soap. I was shocked. Ive never been to a venue that had plenty of paper products.
Cool experience and good seating.VIP tickets are a joke. Had them, and all it gives access to is a premium bar. Uh, what? You make me pay $25 so I have the privilege of paying twice the already ridiculous amount for the same drink with slightly better alcohol? Money scam. Never upgrade your tickets; they are just taking advantage of your ignorance. That rubbed me wrong, but other than that it was nice.
Cool little venue with a parking garage right next to it. It used to be an old movie theater so you can get an idea of the inside layout. It is a little annoying to have beams in front of you and a low ceiling above you at a concert (GA section), but I guess thats why people pay more for pit tickets. Good beer selection. Several different bars to run to if one is too busy or if a server is garbage. Sound seemed pretty decent overall too. I like the way they let the room carry a natural stereo effect instead of pumping every sound out as much as they could.
Audio is always a concern at venues like these and Im usually not one to say this, but the audio system was far too quiet. Especially considering that the Brockhampton crowd sings along...I could barely hear the music and vocals over the crowd, at least not to the point that I would want from a live show. I couldnt even tell you if the mix sounded good because it was just too damn quiet for the majority of the crowd.
This place conned us. Came to see Andrew McMahon, one of my all time favorite performers, and got sold lounge tickets by an employee that highlighted seats, a private bar, and complimentary appetizers. We got through the line only to find there were no apps left, no seats, and all the main bars had little to no wait. Save yourself the money and disappointment. I lost any respect for this venue and its employees.
The view was great, but seats were a bit old and cramped. There was no way to sit upstairs without the people in front of us crushing our knees. No chairs downstairs at all, only standing room, so eventually we went downstairs to relieve our knees. Still had a great time, but wish there were more seating options.

2021-11-06This was my first time here and it was amazing. I brought my son to see one of his favorite bands. This theatre is a great place to see your favorite bands. Its a lot smaller venue then normal so it makes for a real personable experience. No matter where you sit or stand you can see the performers super good. We live a good 4 hours away but I would so take the drive again if someone else has a concert there.

2022-01-21I went here to see the “welcome to elsewhere” tour and it was honestly the best night i’ve ever had in so long. the staff was very friendly and provided extra measures for safety such as bag checks and proof of covid vaccinations. pretty great venue too, a lot of space. can’t wait to come back here for another concert

2022-05-14Very nice theatre, balcony seating is nice with cupholders. View is pretty good as well from a couple rows back, many bars, restrooms on both levels only one stairwell, so that gets jammed on exit.

2022-01-21Great venue, only thing that deducts a star is that I got two boxes of popcorn that was bottomless, due to wanting one box for me and one for the company I had with me. When I went to get refills, the bartender only gave me one box back and told me I could return for more when we ran out. $8 Wasted. Otherwise top notch - clean bathrooms, very friendly security and the concert itself was amazing! #Setitoff

2022-01-27The venue is small but very nice and clean. We have been to Steel Panther and Jackyl among others and have always enjoyed this venue. There is not a bad seat in the house and the staff is friendly. We really enjoyed our latest show which was the Charlie Starr acoustic show and give this part 5 stars!Although, the security team gets 1 star because they were absolutely rude and hateful!!

2022-03-30Visited here 3.29.22 for big facts podcast. When I walked up in the general admission line. The staff was telling a lady she couldnt bring her purse in because it was a little over sized and they didnt have a coat check that night. The lady said she parked far and had a ways to walk back. But they didnt think about uber riders because what if she didnt have a car to leave her bag? I feel that a notification should have been sent to update attendees.The 1st two ladies that checked my bag did well. Everyone else afterwards was unprofessional at best. Dude who frisked us (photo attached) just walked straight up scanned the front of my body then demanded that I turn around. The other security were leaning on the rails laughing and chatting it up. Bad energies. So this well deserved 1 star is just for their unfriendly event staff (;

2022-05-05Honestly a great venue and I felt like there was not a bad seat in the house and it was clean. The drinks were well made. All in all, a good venue for concerts and I am obsessed with concerts so I would know lol. I wish area was easier to navigate but I paid 20 bucks to park right in back of it so that was easy enough. Efficient lines and friendly staff.

2022-03-28Its a great spot. I love the lounges through out the venue...added a bit of class to the outing. The VIP lounge was cool but they need a better description of what you receive with the upgrade. The show Tank and the Bangas was phenomenal! High energy and inspirational.
