Not the best place as far as top stars and such. But its another place I get away, and the owner, Every day since he has acquired the place he has been doing nothing but trying to improve it and make it better.. hes a good guy who I have seen go way above and beyond for people who needed it, down on their luck, and some, just simply took advantage. I respect people who just seem to care about people because they are people!!! Its hard to find that these days. And its got a beautiful pool!!!
This place is abysmal! Under new management but that seems to mean nothing. Still infested with roaches which they care nothing about and when I complained they responded with a notice saying I had to leave once my week was up (not that I wanted to stay even another night there!) If I werent in such a dire situation then I would never have stayed there for as long. They charge $350 for a week which may seem reasonable but when you find 6-15 roaches in ONE night then you realise it isnt even worth $100. Tried to speak directly with the new manager and told them to call me as soon as she picked up but never heard back! I will be finding out who to talk to so I can report these people! Place needs to be shut down again.

Hotel staff have been very nice and accommodating room is nice and clean,smells fine a/c works,shower and bathroom is nicely cleaned.towels are actually softer than the one I have at home .for the price,can’t be beat

This place has come a long way from the time they got shut down..for 1... They finally reach code..the room are very appealing love the improvement .in 2..the kids are back riding the bus...3..it now drug free area...way to go guys.. keep up the good work....... until we meet again..MR.TOMMY RICE

This place has really come a long way since Ive been here. Management and ownership both have put so much time and effort into getting this place back in order and doing great. They really go above and beyond to help make sure the customers that stay here are taken care of. Its come such a long way from where it was.
This place has come a long way....I moved here a couple months ago long enough to see the transition of managers....at first it was kinda looks rough but thanks to the new management the room look great the upgrade is definitely appreciated....me and my family live here with no problem

Stayed there on Dec 23rd. First room they gave us was 104 room stunk, toilet rim and seat had dried pee on it, ashes on toilet rim and tank. Hair on bathroom floor that had not been swept. Mirror behind sink was splattered with toothpaste and spit where previous occupants had brushed teeth. Floor had mud on it and hadnt been vacuumed. Tub was not clean, half inch of soap scum. Ring around tub 3 inches tall. So I tried to call front desk and the phone didnt work. Shower curtain had not been washed in months or longer. It was black purple with mold 2 foot high. The bed was clean. Office moved us to 107 much better way cleaner, but the shower curtain looked the same as the one from 104; like it had never ever been washed. Lady at front desk was great, gave us no hassle and changed rooms for us.

My boyfriend and I have been staying here for two weeks and we LOVE IT. Our room was very clean and well kept, comfortable beds and well cared for hardwood flooring. Employees are FANTASTIC! Very professional. The front desk assistants have genuine people skills as well as the housekeepers. Theyre on top of their work! Easy to work with and they keep us stocked up on towels and the typical hotel essentials without having to be reminded or asked. My life has been made easy thanks to Budgetel! No loud neighbors, everybody says hi and are very neighborly. Dont let the location or anything else fool you- youll have a very pleasant stay! Cheap, all dog breed friendly and they make you feel right at home. Definitely worth the five star rating that I have provided!
Me an my husband stayed about 3 weeks ago for a night the place looks trashy an the 2nd shift lady was literally SMOKING WEED right outside the office while she was working so unprofessional!!! The only thing good about the place was the room we had bed was comfy an big flat screen! Place looked great when the English lady an her husband ran it!! WONT BE STAYING AGAIN! an will be telling friends an family not to stay!!
The place is disgusting. Theres roaches and trash everywhere. Almost everyone is a drug addict. A person smashed a beer bottle outside of my door once. My room didnt have a bathroom door so I requested to switch rooms, which they did with no hassle. Only good thing is that its walking distance to some convenience stores.
I would have rated lower but it wouldnt let me. The place sucks the wifi never works. there are only a few good people in the staff. the managers dont do there job. the parents dont watch there kids and the place is filled with drug addicts and the cops are always here. Also no one can pick up there trash and they throw it all over the place. And dont be fooled the pictures you see on the search results they were from 5 years ago
I was really going to try to help them get the business back on their feet.However in order for that to happen the company has to make the place a clean safe environment.
Stayed in this place one night, and NEVER again! It was disgusting. We got there late, someone was fixing a motorcycle in front of the office, couple others hanging out and a baby in a walker, in the rain at 10 PM!The floor in the room was beyond filthy. Whatever was on it was incredibly sticky. The bathroom floor was worse. There were cars revving their engines and racing through the parking lot. No deadbolt or chain lock on the door! There were stains on the walls that were drips from some type of liquid. on the back of the bathroom door was graffiti, no where close to clean.It looked like a cross between a crack house and a no-tell motel. If I could give it zero stars I would.
Was there a month. Toilet never worked properly, tub would not drain. Water pooled up over ankles while showering. Rooms were not clean, filled with flies and knats. Vending machines empty most of the time. Owners appear friendly at first, then turn really nasty. I personally witnessed several guests belittled and cursed out by the owner so loudly that it could be heard a mile away. I myself received a threatening call cursing me out over a box fan that I was using to get rid of the flies. A nightmarish experience. I would only recommend this place over sleeping under a bridge.
There was nothing about this place that was nice. When we got into our room there was dirty underwear from the previous people on the bathroom floor. The floor was so dirty it looked like it hadnt been cleaned in months. There were dead flies on the sink counter. When we pulled the cover back on the bed, the sheets & pillows were disgusting! Lets not mention the pubic hairs lying around. There were only 2 towels to shower with & when I went to the front desk to ask for a couple more the owner was very rude.When I finally did get some more towels they were dirty & stained. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone! The only thing positive is that it did not have bed bugs.
Basic no frills rooms. But lots of shady people staying here. Not recommended for a business or professional person. Or family or girl friend . I would only stay there in a emergency.
It had a locking door and a bathroom. There were some big negatives here. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was a spider crawling on my bed.. Upon further inspection we found pubic hair all over our beds. The door didnt fully shut, we didnt have a remote, our fridge had mold in it, our phone in the room was broken. The air conditioner was kicked in and there was a terrible smell. My parents had a room right next door and to there disgust they found blood on there pillows. This place really turned me away from Cartersville. Stay here of last option
They are bit too expensive for what you get, but for the most part the rooms are not bad, just wish they had some kind of kitchenette or something. The employees are not really bad, they are just not too friendly either. I like that they have a pool and that you can actually use the pool(as far as I know, unless they changed it), I just hope it stays that way. Overall average.
Room was ok saw some bugs and some mold! Been there once before for a night. Wont go nor recommend it to anyone of my friends! Some woman that hangouts out in the office approached me and asked me if she could do something to please me for a little cash or pills! I believe she said her name was hannah.... I recognized her from the paper for getting busted at the same place! Outrageous how the management still allows those people there! Drugs being sold, sex being offered, staff smelling like weed.... corporate will be notified!
Very clean room, never seen hardwood floors in a hotel but loved that the dresser hid the mini fridge although i had to eat dinner 2 inches away from microwave. Quiet and easy access off 75 headed to FL. Thank you

If I could I would rate at -10, had people yelling, ,running, roaming around parking lot in till. 11:pm. Went to office to complain, one their, no security, I called the Sheriffs office, everyone went running to their room. People came in and out of one of the rooms u till after 2am. Went to office st 7am. No one in.
It was deplorable! I volunteered to help a disabled man move out because the DPH shut it down. Horrible and disgusting living conditions! Omg, its making me give a 1 star that this place does not deserve!

FIRST thing i notice is a cockroach waddling around in the front office. Seems to be favorite housing for ex-cons. Stout florid hick bangs on door at 11am yelling at me to get out. Finally figured out he was manager informing me that check-out time was 11am. Id gotten in at 5am. I asked for 10 minutes to shower and dress. He yelled through the door You aint got 10 minutes you got TWO then he tried to come thru the adjacent room (a door separated the two rooms) but the lock was on there so he couldnt get in. He was one made upset little trailer-trash hick. I grabbed my stuff and left telling him ill recommend this place to my friends. He said WHA I repeated it. He stalked off. Hed brought a skinny black guy and skinny white guy - both looked like drug addicts - along as muscle. I imagine this drug roach-infested pit will eventually be shut down by Georgias Department of Health. Looks to be run by low-rent mobsters.
Clean rooms, there was only one towel in the room but went to ask the office and the girl at the counter was very nice. The tv was great and the bed was comfy for a good nights rest.
Not bad if you dont mind drug heads, and sleep with one eye open... Told desk clerk about the smell of drugs, his response was he would call around and make sure they block the vent! Budgetel needs to really decide if they want the corporate logo associated with this place...
This is the scariest place Ive ever stayed! Children run around all ages all hours. I will not leave the room without my dog and my fiance.. They have some unsavory guest an Im thankful I am moving in my house tomorrow... I feel terrible for the children and the others that ended up there because of reasons out of their control! There are clearly people there that choose to live that kind of life..I am not able to even leave our flowers outside because of the fear of theft
Its an okay place to stay but for the price its a bit trapping. De Management is all people that stay there so things get personal too often and they are very quick to assume and very fast to blame people for things without proof or warrant. Bugs werent really an issue at first but by the time I moved out they had invested everything I owned
This place is absolutely horrible. Very ghetto and sketchy. 80% of the rooms people live in. We were forced to stay here for a few days because of hurricane Irma hitting FL. Dont stay here unless you absolutely have to. The bathroom was dirty, had obnoxious neighbors (they live here) and I swear theres a few drug deals going on above us. I would never even consider coming here again.
They condemned the building it was overrun with cockroaches and rats, no repairs were made. They needed to shut it down a long time ago. They charged those people $275 a week knowing they were unable to find anything else. They are awful landlords or managers

Well the bedding was nice and the room ear clean they didnt have bugs like some hotels around here. But I didnt like that the mathroom didnt have a light and the doors l looked like they had just been kicked in.

Price will say stay but DO NOT STAY ROACHES everywhere. Holes in the walls. Lighting very bad can’t see very good receptacles are not working. Water is not well regulated shower will go from perfect to scolding hot and then to ice cold and back again. Place is like a slum building with lots of kids running around. They allow pets and dogs barking at all hours is common. This place should be shut down. People knocking at the door late at night or early in the morning. Tv is old and picture is poor. Room was never swept or mopped. Sheriff was there many times. Cars burning rubber several times as they speed through the parking lot. Pool was covered and trash all over the place. It is a wonder how this place is still open. Had to ask for toilet paper never left in room. Toilet was never cleaned.
This place was absolutely disgusting. I paid over 60.00 and couldnt even stay the night because of live and dead roaches and flies. The air conditioning unit was propped up with cans of peas. To make it even worse when we turn the key in the lady ask why we was leaving. She was told too many bugs and her reply was Oh well I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Needs to be shut down!! This place literally has been the end of my life as I knew it. The maintenance man followed me and messed my phone up at cricket because of the in instructions of Rodney Weaver. Rodney and Mike the one who rode around with his police lights to show how much more of a piece he already was. Im the mom whos baby boy killed himself. Rodney lived at the time I was struggling at our mothers house. He sold drugs to children under the age of 17. Then if they didnt do what he said he would have them arrested. He killed my step dad and mother a week apart. Then took the inheritance me and my brother had. He is under cover bartow county with mike the maintance man. So if either one approach YOU tell him to think about not only our mom and dad but my 13yr son. True story . wanna here more let me know thats just a little

2022-03-04Its a simple motel for a short overnight stay for errands in the area but most people give bad ratings because the hotel needs to improve on cleanliness, new bedspreads, new blankets, new towels, there are have stains on the fabric and curtains in the bathroom it will raise the level of guests to appreciate the place and come back to stay again, the cleaning staff are friendlyI understand that some rooms here they live in motels for many months , it would be nice if they were to be wary of noise that would disturb the next room, such as not running on the balcony. (I heard children running upstairs on the balcony) Each room should have 2 chairs because the guests will choose to sit I give 3 stars because there are many points for improvement, overall I like that there is a kitchen for cooking

2022-03-26I travel a lot and when Im not working have a few days off I usually stay here at the budgetel. Its a very friendly and the people who run the place do their best to make you stay comfortable. I get a few days off every few weeks and over the last what two or three months that Ive been feeling coming here Ive had any problems that Ive had fixed immediately. I leave things in my room and Ive never had anything touched by the cleaning staff and they go out of their way for me also. The rooms are pretty decent and theyre in the middle of remodeling a whole mess of them. With super nice room packages. They dont have a hot breakfast every morning but they do have plenty of snacks and drinks and laundry supplies in the office. The new owners are working hard to make this a super nice motel again. You can get a good rest here for tonight or a longer stay as I do.

Housekeeping works so hard and very friendly .they go out of their way to make sure you have what you need. The manager hes so nice and helpful . We have enjoyed our stay here. 😊

2022-05-15READ THIS! You get what you pay for. I mean this in a good way. I’ll start with yes, it looks sketchy, but listen. The front desk woman was super nice, she even gave me a water to drink when I asked to pay she said it’s ok (maybe she saw how tired I was who knows). All of her questions and the way she looked at my stuff tells me they prefer upstanding people stay here. It was 70 bucks and the room was clean, the AC unit ran cold and quiet(which is rare I e stayed in a lot of hotels), the room smelled perfectly fine, the water was hot, the tv and remote worked great and most importantly (to me) they have hard floating floors that look like wood that were clearly cleaned. I personally hate carpet in hotels, even the really nice ones, it’s gross to walk on barefoot. Overall for the price this place was perfect for a night off the road in a surprisingly comfortable king size bed. Would recommend.

2022-04-03New Management is doing a LOT of work to improve buildings. Very responsive to requests and someone is always available. Dogs are welcome but dog owners never clean up behind their pets so watch the doo-doo piles! Its an OK place if you long-term and on a budget.

2021-11-12It was not quite welcoming .The front side is under remodeling , so that is where they put us. Long hair! We changed rooms ,faulty shower, and had to move and set up 2:entire beds ..we were rewarded 10 $ off 1 night. No comped room no bottle of vodka but ..yea, we were rushed out at check out time. I dont recommend budget inn.
