Went to Buford Family Practice for a scheduled Annual physical and will never go back ever again. I found many issues with my visit.1- I shouldnt know why everyone is coming to see the doctor. The front desk ladies seem to display why you are at the doctors office out in the open where other patients can hear your personal business.2- Having an appointment doesnt appear to mean anything to this practice. I waited 45 minutes without even someone apologizing about the wait or even call me over to acknowledge that I was waiting for quite some time.3- The front desk is not very welcoming or friendly. All I heard was personal conversation about why they didnt want to be at work.I could name other observations, but I just want to put this experience behind me as well as this practice because I will be looking for another doctor today. If I could give them NO stars I would.
This was the first (and last) time I have visited. I came in very sick. After about a 15 min wait (I was the first in the door upon opening) the nurse took me back and, without asking what symptoms I was experiencing or what brought me in, she says, I can test you for flu and Covid. Great. She administers the tests (2 long q-tips), and before Im done choking and can clear the tears from my eyes, shes gone. Doctor comes in about 10 min later says Im sorry, youre positive for Covid. Alternate Tylenol and Advil, leaves the room and leaves the door open. I stumble out, she points toward the exit sign, and I leave. No discharge instructions, no paperwork showing the determined result. Nothing. How horribly unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and go to the places with a much longer wait. Theres a wait for a reason. This place is only there to turn in their claims to insurance with no concern of your well-being.
This place is awful! I’ve been coming here for a while now and the care they have for their patients is horrible! They don’t know what they’re doing! I had to go to another doctor to get the right care that I needed. I thought I had an ear infection and i asked her to check my ears. She checked and said i didn’t have one. But at the other doctor that I went to I didn’t even have to ask for her to check and she said right away confirmed my ear infections and throat infection as well! That doctor actually listened and gave me proper diagnoses and treated me well! This place seems to just like to collect your money!!!! It’s awful! This is not the first time I’ve experience care like this from them!!!
This doctors office has been my first primary doctor in my adult life because they do help with everything and anything that I need from being actually sick to just being ocd and a person that worried about everything. This office will help ease the stress of day to day life these days with the security of knowing they got your back so please give them a chance and I promise you won’t regret it.
2nd times posting something on this business/Dr Office. Their vouce mail is full over half the time. If I do get to a message, I leave a message. They dont call me back 3 out of 4 times. They have incorrect patient records for me, and my wife, including g prescriptiins taken, dates of appts, etc. Prescription refills are not performed, seldom call me back when refills are requested, AND they do not return my pharmacys Calls!! Ive had to physically go in and wait, then research refills, and it may work? Its been tough. As of last month, we have found a different practice for our family.
I have given this doctors office so many chances, since I have used them for many many years. The wait times are indescribable. I don’t know why it takes an hour to two hours to be seen when you have an appointment. Forget about calling in and coming in for their urgent care service. They don’t begin seeing walkins until 1 o’clock, but that doesn’t mean they are going to tell you that out right.Today I called and one person said they set me up for a walk in appointment at 11 o’clock, then when I arrive 20 minutes before 11 o’clock they told me that they don’t start seeing their walk in appointments till 1 o’clock and I have to leave until 1 o’clock . I’m not feeling well and it would’ve been nice to know that I could’ve come in later instead of leaving my house at 10 o’clock for an 11 o’clock appointment that they lied about. It seems like everyone on this doctors office is on a different page, they completely shoot themselves in the foot every time they tell a patient one thing and someone else has to correct their mess. Since I am urgently in need of care today I am going to put up with whatever else they tell me so that I can be seen, but this is the last time I’m ever going to come to this doctors office I refuse to give them any more of my money for their lack of care and subpar communication.
My mother had an appointment at 8am. Showed up promptly at 7:58. I was the 3rd person to sign in. 45 minutes goes by everyone that came before and after my mom gets called back. I had to bring it to the receptionist’s attention. I hate this place. It’s so disorganized. This is not the first time.
This particular place is frustrating, because I think the office staff, doctors, and NPs WANT this place to be really good. They seem like nice people. It just seems like the turnover rate is super high and its impossible to ,maintain any sort of standard when staff changes so frequently. One thing I think Dr. Osowa and staff could work on is the time between office visits and when prescriptions are called in. For some of us, ongoing prescriptions are necessary for maintaining quality of life, and theres no reason for there to be a delay other than lack of diligence. If this could be improved, this place would be much better. As it is, Im beginning to search for another PC Doctor.
First bad experience at Lawrenceville office and now this location. I had to call and deal with this location because the Lawrenceville one doesn’t answer the phones when I call. Nor do they send your messages through to the dr from the portal you submit.Anyways, I had called shortly before office closed on Friday this past week because my chiropractor asked me last minute to have my dr office send over my X-ray report I had from them earlier that week. the girl over the phone at first said he would need to request the paperwork to them. I told her I’m giving authorization to send the X-rays since he wanted to see me the next day. The girl said she would send over the X-rays and NEVER BOTHERED doing so and lied to me saying she would. That’s really sorry and lazy behavior. It would have taken her 5 minutes to do. So now I had to get one more X-ray after I was already given X-rays a few days prior and was charged from my chiropractor for it since he said he never got anything from my dr office.
I’ve been coming here for over 12 years and I really love Dr. Osawa. However, it is absolutely ridiculous how long I have to wait to get my prescription. I don’t think their is any importance placed on the fact that some people NEED their medication to stay sane. I was promised by a staff member my medication would be sent to me by the end of the day yesterday (should have been sent by the end of the day the day before that since I was seen that day) because I’m going out of town and it STILL hasn’t been sent to my pharmacy. It’s extremely irritating and seems like no one has any regard for me as a patient. They need to get this fixed
I have to say that Dr. OSAWA is the best Dr. He genuinely cares about his patients. I have been struggling with some depression and other things. He did some bloodwork and found that my testosterone was almost a zero. Most Dr.s would have just thrown me on some antidepressants and told me to go home, Not Dr.O. If you are a man struggling with some of the same things I highly recommend Buford Family Practice and Dr.O
This place is absolutely horrible!!! I took my daughter few months ago for her neck pain and they wrote her a referral. I called the referral place and they said we dont specialize in neck pain and she needs to be seen by a nerogilist. I called for weeks with no answer so I went up there today and explained the situation. The doctor told me that he would not change the referral and she needed to make another appointment for in house treatment?! With all due respect you are not a nerogilist! They just want your money horrible place we will never be back.
The overall reviews of Buford Family Medical are spot on. This office has the absolute worst customer service. The front office staff are completely unorganized and unprofessional. After working in a medical office for over 5 years, I have to blame poor management for the way this office is run. Because, if we ever conducted business they way these employees do, we would have been fired on the spot. They rarely pick up the phone when you call. You are prompted to leave a message and promised if made by 3pm, that you will receive a phone call back. Don’t wait by the phone, your return call won’t happen. If you are on monthly medication that is a controlled substance, this will take days for them to send over to the pharmacy. So make sure you schedule your Dr. visit about 5 days prior to needing your monthly medication refills. I called the office once to ask when my prescription would be sent over, after days of waiting and her response was simply “I don’t know.” And nor do they care. The front office staff has no care, concern or compassion for your needs as a patient. I have also found that even if you try to schedule with a specific NP or even with Dr. Osowa, they will just automatically put you with whoever and not even have the decency to let you know prior to your appointment. I will also add that the Nurse Practitioners and Dr. Osowa are great and it’s a shame that the “face” of their practice is just terrible. They need a new office manager and proper training for their staff. I am switching practices. My advice for this office, stay away!
If I could give negative stars I would. They are rude and do not care about their patients. I am moving out of state and for 7 days I have been trying to get a refill on my prescriptions. Now with 24 hours before I leave, I had call myself to track the Dr. down at another location to get and answer. The staff there would not do it. Needless to say, I was told no not unless they can see me to get their copay/insurance money. SO, they are effectively sending me on my way with no medication because there is not time to be seen and get he prescription refilled before I move. Great patient service your true colors come out and show you only care about money and not my health. Do yourself a favor and avoid this service provider at all costs!
Horrible wait time. The NP who I worked with, Danielle, was incredible. Very attentive and kind. That was the only positive part. I had an issue with a prescription being filled so I called the office and spoke to one of the staff, Angel, about the issue. After coming to an agreement she simply hung up on me. She was very rude, condescending and disrespectful. If it was not for her horrible customer service this wouldve been an okay experience outside of the wait time. You cant treat people like that. She needs to go.
I am very satisfied with the care I received from this practice. We recently moved here from Ohio where most of the doctors, nurses & staff had horrible bed side manner & appeared to dislike their jobs. Not the case with this practice. As soon as I entered the office the folks at the front desk were friendly and attentive. The medical staff was on point & did an excellent job of explaining my test results. The only negative thing I have to say is I waited a long time but both times Ive made my appointments Ive gone at lunch time. When the doc came into the waiting room she apologized & said she had to grab a bite to eat. Some folks would be upset by this but I appreciated the apology & the honesty.
If I could rate this practice less than 1 Star, I would. Let me start off by saying, I have been in ER nurse for 17 years. Never in my life, have I seen a more dysfunctional place of business then Buford family practice.It speaks volume when office staff and practitioners come and go, much like a revolving door. Went office staff change so frequently that you don’t even recognize the people that you saw the previous time you were there, that’s a huge red flag that you should run, not walk away!It blows my mind that you can come in there, pay the co-pay, and then wait an astronomical amount of time for the practitioner to come to the patient room. I know I’ve personally waited 40 minutes, nearly missing an event at my sons school.If you have any medications controlled or not, don’t rely that they will be called in on time. Almost every month since I’ve been coming to this facility, which is almost 3 years, all have been delayed days upon days. For example, I physically went to the office to ask face-to-face from my prescription to be sent over to the pharmacy since it was due that day. The very next day I left a message for the staff to confirm the prescription has been sent over. I never even have a return phone call. Here I stand on day four, prescription still has not been filled. I decided to return to Buford family practice, in hopes of speaking to the office manager to get a proper understanding as to what the lack of communication/dysfunction is. I was told that the office staff “ drop the ball” because during my last visit I did not give a urine sample. This was the reason I was given that my medication was not sent to the pharmacy when it was due four days ago. I was instructed in order for my prescription to be sent over, I had to provide a urine drug screen. In providing a urine sample, I would have to wait additional 5 to 7 days for the results to come back since they send it to an outside facility.This is just my opinion, another outlook for someone who has been in the medical field, caring for patients at a level one trauma hospital for 17 years. It blows my mind that people practice medicine in this fashion. Where are people standard of ethics when it comes to patient care? Practices like these are the reason why healthcare costs are driven up so high and make it an affordable far honest paying citizens. If you’re looking for a practitioner, please scroll down to the next provider in your search history. Avoid this practice at all cost! Not worth your hard earned co-pay money, time, or aggravation.Buford family practice is HORRENDOUS, DYSFUNCTIONAL, and in my opinion a complete DISGRACE to all healthcare providers practicing medicine. Ethically, I have a hard time trying to understand just how they’ve managed to continue to stay open for business.
I went to Buford Family Practice on Tuesday afternoon for a drive up COVID test for upcoming travel. I specifically went to this office because it was a 2 DAY test and I would have my results before Christmas and before my flight on Monday. I asked office staff multiple times when my results would be ready and I was repeatedly told within 2 days. I was the only person there for a drive up test and it took them 2 HOURS to come to my car to do my test. Now it’s Saturday and I haven’t received my results and won’t be able to board my flight on Monday. I wish I would have read the reviews before coming here.
Never again. I should of learned the last several times I sat in the waiting room forever. And then today I waited & waited...knowing I had a contagious infection a staff member let me sit there and sit there. Even after she made a comment and went to wash her hands. And according to my insurance company I should not of been charged what they charged me. (I called since I had so much time in the waiting room). So I asked for a refund and left. Went directly to the Urgentcare Center off of 124 and was seen immediately. My co pay was 0 and I was given my prescription for antibiotics. I made the best decision to get up, get my money back and get the proper care and customer service we all deserve.
I absolutely love love Danielle!! She is the ONLY good thing about this Practice. Apparently my doctor is Alex Osowa who Ive literally never seen before. Make a 930am Appointment, be prepared to stay til at least Noon. I hate that I havent found a new place to go yet. The wait time is ridiculous, the front staff is rude and unorganized, and they seem to never have my insurance/copays figured out. One day they say I owe $160 because I havent met my $500 deductible ( Its November by the way) and the next visit (2 wks later) I am due a refund. Which they dont give you, you use it for a later visit.. Ugh, if you dont absolutely have to go there, DONT!! Youd be better off going to the ER.
I absolutely love Buford Family Practice. I have been a patient here for a few years after moving to the area. I was with my previous doctor for over 15 years and did not want to leave but the commute was over a hour. I searched for years and after coming into the office for urgent care, the office was very friendly and knowledgeable. I must say that I dont like the frequent front desk staff changes but the lady that currently work front desk lack southern hospitality and friendliness that I would like to see in a doctors office. Any office for that matter. I would love to see someone that is friendly, helpful, and engaging. I would also like ike to see the coffee and tea station return. It was and very nice gesture. Other than that keep up the good work. Oh and Angie is the best.
At my first appointment I had blood drawn and sent off to the lab and was informed I would be called once the results came back. Several weeks later when the results were posted on the patient portal, I never received a phone call explaining the results. I called the office and left a message with the nurse, only to never have my phone call returned. I then sent a message via the patient portal that was never acknowledged. I made a second appointment since it was clear that was the only way to talk to anyone. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time, waited 30 minutes only to find out the ignorant girls at the front could not figure out how to bill my insurance correctly. I left and instructed them to call me when they figured it out because I was able to call and verify my insurance right there in the office even though they some how couldnt figure it out. After a week goes by, I sent a message via the patient portal letting them know of how fed up I was with the practice. A week later I received a phone call letting me know they got my insurance squared away but at that point, I had vowed to never return to the office. I had my new doctor request my lab results twice, only to never be acknowledged. I called to request the results to be faxed to my new doctor only to be told they could not find me in the system, I began to laugh at the little girl on the phone so she put me on hold. When she came back on the line, she had miraculously found my records so I provided her the with the fax number. The records were never faxed. The office should be shut down by the Georgia Board of Medicine for malpractice.
This office cannot get it together. I have been over-charged, ignored, and flat-out lied to by most of the people working the front desk. The Nurse Practitioners I have met with have been great, but the front desk staff are terrible. I asked them to remove me from their system multiple times, and cancel all future appointments LAST SEPTEMBER and Im still getting calls reminding me of things that I already cancelled.Unless you are dying and this is your only choice, go somewhere else.
I started going here about 5 or so years ago. I have never had a problem until about 6-8 months ago. I dont know what happened but when all the people in the front office got replaced things started going down hill. They are very rude and act like they dont have a clue as to whats going on. I like Dr. Osowa but something has happened. I was there today appointment was at 10:00 left at 12:45 and did not get anything resolved. I went 4 weeks ago saw Danielle Hughey we talked about changing my meds we had a great plan worked out. I made an appointment for 4 weeks with Danielle they told me I would get to see her. So I got there this morning for 10:00 appt. got in room about 10:30 waited about 30 mins. another NP came in I told her I wanted to see Danielle, she told me it would be awhile but I could wait. Well she wasnt kidding as I sat there then I began to cry and I cried till about 12:15 when Danielle came in. We had to go over some medical history for medicare and when that was done no more time left. Didnt get any new meds or talk about the things that had happened since the last visit. She told me she would take her lunch to figure things out and call me. Well here it is 10:13 pm and still no call. I dont blame Danielle because it is not her fault. They are treating the patients like cattle and their doctors (NP) are being worked to death. If I was Danielle I would be looking for another job. I think the money bug has taken over. I also noticed when I was there today Mrs. Osowa is working there also. Just saying.
I have been going to this office for a while. My wife and I used to go to the Lawrenceville office and after moving to Auburn we switched to Buford. We love the doctor and practitioners but I had a bad experience Saturday. I was in a car accident and I went to the doctors office complaining about back pain. The nurse at the desk told me my insurance company would not cover me for the first visit after a car accident and instead of my $30 copay I had to pay $100. I found this to be disconcerting but I paid it with the resolve that I would take this up with my health insurance. When I called my insurance they told me they did not know why the doctors office told me that. They do cover car accidents on the first visit. We called Corporate and they told us they had just recently took over and were not familiar with the local offices policies. They said we should call the local office. Well they didnt answer us. Four days later my insurance company called and told my she talked to the doctors office and they told her that their policy was to not charge insurance companies on the first visit after car accidents. This was not true. She told me my insurance would not cover it not that this was their policy. I could have went somewhere else. Stay away!!!
I cant even give this practice one star. It is one of the worst doctors offices I have ever been too. The owner and doctor is all about money, not about the health of clients. I was seen on one day and had to come back the next day because the doctor asked me to come back and I pay double co-pay. Then the doctors office scheduled me for an appointment without my knowledge and then when I did not know I was charged a $25 fee because I did not come to the appointment that I did not know about. Then I have overheard staff talking about clients and laughing about confidential things that should have been left behind closed doors and not in the open public. Terribly disappointed. We saw they had low reviews, but had hoped for the best and tried it anyways for several months now. Every time we have gone, the wait has been insane for the lack of patients. Last time we waited over an hour and there were only three cars in the lot and no others in waiting room. But today was our final visit. We had an issue with our insurance (an error with their system, which we called and had remedied). The receptionist refused to believe us, yelled our personal information across the waiting room, and called us liars to the other receptionist. She was in no way helpful with the situation, and was blatantly rude despite me having an Ill one year old. Once we were able to get our insurance company on the phone, they confirmed what we had been telling the receptionist, she got us processed through But maintained her poor attitude. Another lady waiting there had been there for an hour and a half with a sick newborn and was the only other one on our side of the waiting room. She had to leave to go get help elsewhere and they let her walk out. After our visit I had to wait over an hour at the pharmacy for them to send in the prescription. Then they only sent two of the four they were supposed to. Wont. Be. Back. Stay awayyyy.
This practice is horrible and doesnt even deserve 1 star. I moved here a year and a half ago and chose this practice based on reviews. It was decent then. Now, the wait is always over an hour just to be called back to a room, even with a scheduled appointment. I called 3 times to get results from a scan that was done and they never returned my calls. When they finally did answer my question a month later, they said I was supposed to of had another scan a month prior! They then wouldnt give me results from the second scan and said I had to schedule an appt to discuss it. This is just a couple things that were wrong with my experiences, there are too many to list. DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE!!! I already changed to a new provider and Im not looking back! Worst office ever. :(
I never receive my lab work unless I make another appointment or view them on the web portal which sometimes takes weeks to get back. They wont refill medication without continuous appointments (monthly). Staff is very rude and inconsiderate. Ive went numerous times without important medication because of their lack of care. They rush your visit and dont listen to your medical problems. This place is all about the money. Hopefully I can find a new place soon!!
This practice is a complete JOKE. They are the absolute worst and do not care at all about their patients. Poor management. Loooong wait times in the office. They try to have you come into the office for absolutely no reason. I needed refills of my birth control. My obgyn office does not allow children in their office ( I have a toddler ) so I thought...Why not just have my bc control filled with my primary care doctor. I made an appointment so I could have a pregnancy test done. Went in and did the test. They told me that they filled enough birth control to last me until my yearly physical in November. Ok great! Well, I realize a couple of months later that they made an error and only filled a three month supply instead of a four month supply. So I would not be covered for an entire month before my yearly physical appointment. I think... oh ok Ill just call and have them call in another months worth of birth control to my pharmacy. No big deal. Well....apparently it is beyond reason for them to make a single phone call. No one was willing to call my pharmacy to fill a single month of birth control...ITS NOT OPIOD MEDICATION....ITS BIRTH CONTROL. They said I was require to come in for an exam to have a single month filled when I already have a freaking appointment the following month. Beyond ridiculous and SO inconsiderate. I have an 18 month old child and Im sorry, but Im not waiting for three hours to be seen in your office when there are barely any patients waiting in line. GOODBYE!
Front Staff is pretty cool. Dont have that long wait times usually about 30 minutes. Doctors are polite an professional as well. One issue is sometimes I think they prescribe to many meds for one person to take. An the other issue is they sent prescription to wrong place. Other than that they have sinced fixed the issues. So overall four stars from me.
Everything was fine until the Asian lady doctor came in and started telling me my symptoms i don’t even have. And ignored me when telling her the actual symptoms I have. She then quickly wrote me a script for antibiotics without telling me what it will help then left the room to go home which she seemed in a rush to do. Highly don’t recommend this place. They will most likely do to y’all what they did to me which was tell me they need to X-ray then send you off and to call in 5-7 days which means you’ll be paying $110 for an x ray you most likely won’t need. You’re better off going anywhere else
Went to the doctor with concerns of strep. We’re in the middle of a pandemic, so you’d think the staff would be more adamant about cleaning/wiping down areas. Sat in the waiting room for almost an hour and not one person wiped anything down. That’s disgusting. They also allowed sick people (overhead a man claim that he believes he may have corona) to sit on the non-sick side. Just overall, poorly run. Should do better, especially during a pandemic.
Beware Horrible Staff and Completely Unprofessional! Dont waste your time! It all started three months ago. I was having ovarian pain and needed to be examined. I asked to be referred to my obgyn because I was more comfortable. Not only do I not get referred to the wrong place but after getting the procedure done, they dont call me with the results. After calling multiple times, being hung up on, waiting over 20 minutes per call, they say they will finally read me my results over the phone. Turns out I have cysts and I need to school a follow up ultrasound. I tell them once more to refer me to my obgyn and they do. However they fail to send my prior results to my obgyn so she can not compare my most recent results. They never did. Its been two months that I have been calling them asking them to send the results and still nothing. The nurse from my obgyns clinic has been calling every week for the last month and despite that its from a physicians clinic they still cant be bothered. They have also hung up on my obgyns clinic and left them on hold to never send the results. This clinic has been the worst experience and is extremely unprofessional. From typos in referral forms (the first clinic they referred me to couldnt find me in the system because they careless put my first name as my last name), to the staff not even being able to weigh you properly to not delivering test results, I can say I am truly done with this place!
I give this practice five stars. It’s to bad I can’t give them more! Angeline Jordan is all I could have hoped for in a medical practitioner. I have been seeing her for almost a year now and she always provided the absolute best care, the best advice and treatment during every visit and for every issue.If you are looking for a medical practitioner that is knowledgeable, treats the whole person and takes the time to be caring even while managing a very busy schedule, Angeline Jordan is someone you should consider visiting...you definitely won’t regret it!! Please continue to give GREAT SERVICE!!
If I could rate 0 stars, I would. This doctors office is extremely inconsiderate!!!!!!!! Unfortunately this place had just gotten built very close to my house so we decided to start going here. Every single time we come it is at least 1 hour to 1-1/2 hour wait. EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!! When my daughter had a physical to get into college, they also coded it as an office visit and charged my daughter $55 when I had not accompanied her (shes 18) because the doctor asked my daughter about her medications during the physical that she was taking and they said that justified coding it as a doctors office visit as well. Very sneaky. THAT WAS WRONG!!! So far, they have refused to correct it and return my money. I will be suing this office if they dont refund my money. The office manager is never in the office either. It is the doctors wife and she works part time, barely, if you want to call it that. No one is running this office. They obviously overschedule the patients and dont mind them sitting and sitting and sitting and waiting. They have mischarged me on numerous other occasions as well. Is your time important to you? Do you like being overcharged? If you answered yes, this is the place for you.
Dr. Osowa is an amazing doctor, but only if you have nothing to do other than wait to be seen by him for 2+ hours. I was actually told by the office manager today that having an appointment does not mean having a scheduled time and that I should expect that my wait be at least 45 minutes to an hour. I let her know that my wait was 2 hours and she had nothing but excuses. Never again. Its a shame because I really do think Dr. Osowa is great. His practice -- not so much.
I gave this place a 5 star rating about 6 months ago when I started going here. The past four or five visits I have had here I have waited literally 2 hours each time to be seen, just to get my perscription refills. They threw me in a room and completely forgot about me each time since my first visit. One time I opened the door and asked a lady working if Id be seen soon. I took off work to make it to my appointment, so I kinda needed to know. She literally scoffed and laughed back at me and said, Uhm shell be there SOON. Really? I understand waiting a while if the place is busy, but it was essentially empty. I dont normally make these type of reviews, but I just cant recommend this place.
I called today August 13 2019 to talk to a nurse because I was having a difficult time mentally.Someone by the name of angel or angela answered the phone and asked what it was in regards toI did not give a reason because I was embarrassed to sayI was put on hold for several minutes which is understandableI know they are busy and I know they have patients to attend toI have a nursing background so Im very aware of how the medical field operates on a daily basisI did not have much time so I hung up and was going to call back at a later time.This young lady calls me back and asks me if I would like to talk to someone and I replied I didnt have time to wait on hold for twenty minutesI did not get an attitude or say anything out of context!!!!So why does someone whom I never met and doesnt know anything about my situation or what I am struggling with have the right to get an attitude with me?Whoever she is does not need to be in the medical profession where she is working with people on a one to one basis!She had absolutely no empathy towards me and I deserve an apology!This makes me consider going to another place for my medical treatment even though I absolutely adore danielle!
I have been coming here for a few months and I love the staff. My issues are from having to wait so long to be seen. The average time is close to an hour. The other issue I have is the music. I appreciate everyones right to practice their own religion, but I dont appreciate having to listen to music about Jesus while I wait. Not everyone shares these views and I find this upsetting. As Doctors they should want to accommodate all their clients.
Rude staff specially front office. You have an appointment and you still have to wait 45 mins before they call you in. Then you wait another 30 min for the nurse pract to see you for just 5 to 10 min tops. We are 4 that go there and def will be looking for another family doctors office come 1/2020.
The absolute worst service. Front desk and phone etiquette is unprofessional and seem unhappy. The girl who took blood seemed to hate her job & wasn’t nice at all. Please do yourself a favor and find yourself a place you deserve because this place is right there with the health Dept. You’d probably get better service at your local health Dept.
I went to this clinic for a year until I couldnt take it anymore. Theres so many things wrong with this place, its unbelievable. Lets see if I can name them all without running out of space. The wait is always over an hour (which I wouldnt mind if I was getting decent care) and youre seen by different people every time you go...you dont ever get to see just one dr or NP. They staff turnaround is incredibly high which is one main reason youre always being seen by different people. Theres just a couple of the staff members that have worked there for over a year. The nurses will not call you back...I cant tell you how many times I left messages and got no response. I ended up calling the appointment line and asking them to get the nurse. My pharmacy tried for a day and half to call them about a medicine for my son but of course, the Drs office didnt respond. This place is all about the money and not the patient care. The dr told me he couldnt prescribe me a medicine during my well check appointment, bc they wouldnt be able to bill for it. So I had to make an appt for the next day just to get a prescription. They give you 2 refills max on your medicine, bc they want you to keep coming to the office so they can bill for it. Most Drs do 6 months, but then again most Drs dont run their clinic like this place. They wont ever call in medicine for you even if its something youve been seen for. I asked them to call me in an antibiotic for something Ive been seen for numerous times.....they refused. I went to the office and asked them to look at my arm quickly so I could get an antibiotic....they refused! I ended up in the hospital with cellulitis and almost lost my arm. That was the last straw. I could go on and on about this place and how unprofessional they are, but Im just going to leave it at this. I honestly wish I could give this place ZERO stars...they dont deserve a one star rating! Youre warned...this place is terrible!!!
If you have medications that you need monthly, do not come here and expect to get them on time! I transferred to this practice 3 months ago and each visit Ive gotten the run around about why my medicine wasnt called in even though I physically went into the office and paid for a visit each month!
This clinic is horrible. My son stepped on a piece of glass and he had part of it inside his foot, we went to see a doctor in this clinic but they put us to see a nurse for this serious situation. The nurse said yes he has a piece of glass in his foot but I cannot get out because he is moving a lot!!! She told me I have to go home and wait for him to sleep and try to get it out by myself and she gave me a needle to use!!! I’m not a doctor or a nurse how am I supposed to do it using this needle?!!To be honest, the doctor is really nice and professional. He could take it out in very nice way within 2 minutes.
I am done. Have been going here for 5 years and today I realized its all about the money for them. I wont go into details, but its absolutely crazy. I NEVER write reviews. In fact, I have NEVER written a bad review for any business ever!!! Dont go here. There are WAYYYY better doctors who actually care. I have never seen the same NP in the five years I am there. The turnover obviously says something.
Called at 11am to make an appointment and was told to just walk in, no appointment was necessary, and ended up waiting for two hours to be seen. The PA then proceeded to practically harass me when I attempted to get a REFILL of my Adderall medication (which I had gotten the first time at that doctors office). Once I finally asked to see the doctor it was clear they had spoken and was treated with the same suspicion from him; both were incredibly rude and made no attempt to listen to my needs or have a conversation about what I should take that would make me feel better since the first medication gave me anxiety. I cannot believe medical professionals would treat their patients so disrespectfully.
The reason I go to this place its due to its convenient location and Danielle Hughes (shes awesome), but Ill definitely start searching for another place.All of the sudden my wife and I had due balance and when I asked for the reason for it I almost got scolded. At the end, it never showed up on the invoice. What really bothers me is that I asked for an explanation for something that I was going to pay regardless and was mistreated by a lady that also mistreated one of her coworkers that asked for the same question.Update on review: after I posted this review, I was reached out by the accounting manager and she was kind enough to listen to me and also refunded via check the amount I paid extra. After that I’ve been there I believe more than once and things have changed.
I went to this doctor because Im newer to the area and their office is right down the street from my house. My visit was frustrating because I went for a specific reason and the nurse practitioner didnt really listen or address the reason for my visit. She started leaving the room before I even finished discussing and only offered temporary solutions instead of helping me figure out the cause of my problem. Also Im on a medication that needs to be taken daily but I cannot get a hold of anyone at the office to refill my script and so ive been a few days without. On top of that I waited 3 weeks for my blood test results (only received after calling and leaving a message numerous times) when they told me they would call me in 5 days tops. Then 2 weeks later I got a call from another nurse telling me the same results. Unorganized, not good at keeping up with their messages and the nurses just seem to not really care about why your there. Bummer.
Horrible service today. I received funny looks when I brought my daughter in today at 5:30p close to their closing at 6pm. Spent 30 seconds there. They proceeded to tell me walk-ins only accepted before 5pm. Did not tell my wife that when she called. I immediately walked out and came to another location on Braselton Hwy Reagan Medical and they took me right in. I will never go back here and suggest others avoid them as well. They were rushed to leave instead of accepting a new patient.
This WAS actually my primary Doctor. But I couldnt take it any longer! They have a beautiful new office closer to the 85. And the ladies there were very nice thats why I gave it 2 stars. The service is definitely a 1 star. As a walk in, theres an expected wait time of about 45 mins. to an hour. And if you have a scheduled appointment wait time is......45 mins to an hour! Whats the point?! So for one appointment I had an ultra sound done and was told it would take about 2 days for results. So, after a week I called to see what was going on. Who ever answered the phone at the time got my results and started reading them to me and then she said something about a cyst on your kidney.... I said Uhh, what? Can you elaborate? She said, Oh its fine nothing to worry about. I said So what do I need to do? She said Come back in 6 months so we can give you another to make sure it hasnt gotten bigger. So instead I scheduled an appt. to go in for a well check a few weeks later. I scheduled my appt. at 8:15 am, 1 because I had to fast and 2 because I have a life. Well, as usual I waited OVER an hour. Then I finally got triage done, went to the room got my blood drawn and undressed to wait for the GYN to come in. 20 mins., 25, 30, 35 finally after 40 mins I had to go to the restroom so bad because I had been sitting there in my paper gown freezing. So I decided if I get dressed Im not coming back. So thats just what I did. I slowly got dressed and left the room, no one around. So I told the girl that triaged me I was leaving. The worst part is they didnt even give me a courtesy call to see if I was okay or if they should reschedule NOTHING! So if you want to wait for ever and ever go ahead but if youre someone whos time is just as precious as theirs then RUN! They dont care about your time at all!
I have attempted to call this office for an appointment for a year now. They don’t answer the phone. They don’t return calls. It is hard to find good doctors and I appreciated the work from Dr Osawa. However, this office does a poor job of answering. I have lost faith in this office when it comes to healthcare. Now, I have to start I et with someone new, if they accept new patients
My entire family has been going here for about a year but only bc Danielle Hughes, nurse practitioner. She is amazing but when my husband went a few days ago he saw someone new and after 15 years of him being on certain meds that he ABSOLUTELY needs she decided your levels are ok so I didnt refill them lets see how you do w/o them if she fn crazy?? He suffers from severe issues! Also, 2 hour waits Never again! We are done!
I have been going to this practice for over a year now and I really enjoy the professionalism of the employees and doctor. I am always informed of any outstanding debt whenever I visit. I have been made to wait for a bit on some occasions but one the one occasion when my daughter had excruciating abdominal pain, I was attended to immediatey
I have been bringing my sister In law here for about a year. This place is not people friendly. The wait times are astronomical even if you have an appointment, today was over two hours. We are moving to another family medical practitioner. If I didnt need to give it at least one star to leave a comment I would not have even been gracious enough for the one star rating.
Today was my 1st and last visit with Buford family practice .I arrived at 1150am and was told shortly after that the doctors had all left and went to lunch and wouldnt return until 2:15. In my mind that was thought to be a very long lunch break but myself being the very patient person that i am i waited. Finally i was called back and asked what was the reason for my visit , I explained that i hadnt had insurance for a couple years now so it was a few thing I was visiting for , the assistant suggested that i get a physical and that before I leave i should schedule one, and that the doctor would be right with me. 5 minutes later one of the doctors with short blonde hair and long nails came in and asked if i were here for my sinus infection I recited what i told the assistant and response was that seems to be the case with a lot of people with your insurance Offended instantly i remained calm as she checked my heart rate and looked in my ears and told me that ears were clogged with ear wax and that was the reason for my drainage, this was after i explained to her that i have sinus issues since childhood and it wasnt because of allergies.And after two hours of waiting i was out of the room within 10 mins. Her statement lead me to believe that she was very unprofessional and prejudice whether or i have peach state insurance, I am a 22 year old African American who working full time and i am also a full time student who at this stage of life can not afford better insurance at this stage in my life and by no means does that mean im abusing the system by her preconceived ideas . I still deserve the same health care just like everyone else. Not only was i offended my needs were not heard out or lead to believe they mattered and for these reasons i will not be returning .
Wonderful service everytime I go, Dr.Osowa and Amelia never disappoint the office manager Nadia helps with any inconvenience if there is even any! The call center is always on game with their answering and the front desk is always so welcoming if your looking for great care come here you won’t be disappointed :)
We had an appt for my daughters annual physical and shots. We had already been seen, checked out, and were getting in the car when my wife asked if they gave my daughter her shots while she was in the bathroom. Our daughter said she didnt get any shots and we had to go back inside to tell them or they never would have known.
Arrived at 9:23 for a 9:30 appt. 10 -15 people go back before me they ask me if i had an appointment. I tell them yes at 9:30 she girl up front goes in the back and says they are Coming now. I wait another 30 mins. Ill be finding another PCP. This place used to be good it has went to trash in the last few years. Unless its something serious go somewhere else
Went here for the reason of having a medical release signed by a doctor so that I could go scuba diving at a resort in Jamaica. They wanted to do a full physical. I had not had a physical this year, so I did not have an issue with that. Arrived to the office and was told that there was a $10 fee to have the form filled out. They said it was because my insurance did not cover any forms. $10 to sign a signature and put down an address. Unbelievable.
These folks are everything people warned us about. They got my wife hopelessly addicted to Opioids and Xanax. When we voiced our concerns and asked for a less dangerous opioid for her pain they retaliated by cutting off my wifes Xanax and Opioid suddenly and abruptly without any warning and leaving her to Withdrawal from these dangerous drugs on her own??? These people are MONSTERS! This has got to be Criminal!! Mean and Nasty. Malpractice??
Dr.Osowa is the Best ! Ive been a patient for 5 years. Caring staff with complete focus on bettering your overall health. It took me awhile to appreciate the high level of professionalism, but after Dr.Osowa took the time to explain how prescriptions and follow up care are handled. I recommend this practice to my community and friends. This Practice also supports the Community through sports programs like Mill Creek Athletics Association(MCAA), and if you live in this community, you know how important youth sports programs are, and having a reliable physician is paramount! Love them!
Horrible. I have given this place a chance for 2 years but after today Im done. They never get you back before an hour wait, they have a new doctor every visit (which always seem to be guessing whats wrong with my son) and bad customer service. They have no concern with other peoples time. Not a good family practice at all. Do NOT recommend going there.
The rest of my family went there so I decided to give it a shot. I went because I was beginning to have extremely bad back and shoulder pain. I told the doctor I had scoliosis, subluxation, and occasionally my disc would become inflamed. She told me I was completely lying and making stuff up just so I could get pain medication. I have never been so mad at a doctor in my life.
By far the worst practice to come too. I had an appointment for 8:45 am and as I waited for over an hour to be seen, people who had appointments scheduled after me were seen 1st. They have the worst customer service. The staff is rude and dont care how long you wait. Why bother to make an apppintment if they wont even see you on time.

My mother went here a few months ago for an annual check up. This business failed to reach out to her to notify her that her lab results were ready and that she had high cholesterol. If she did not decide to randomly stop by to ask for her results, she wouldnt have known about the high cholesterol until a much more medically dire situation occurred. Based on this alone, this medical practice is putting its patients in danger.
If I were a paying customer at a restaurant you would leave if nobody served you within half an hour, then to have your order taken, to wait further half a hour to final get your food.Only here the food was a re-prescription that took 4 minutes, and this is every time I come, not just a one off.We wouldnt accept it at a restaurant, so why is it acceptable in health care?. Where has the customer service gone?, or are we numbers in financial hungry business?
This is the worst office I have ever been to. I went in and gave them disability forma to fill out, and when I called to see if they where ready one if the medical assistants told me they lost they papers. Then the office blamed the physical therapy office has the papers and they ended up not having them and still to this day they cannot find them. They need to close down this office.
You cant imagine how much REGRET I have right now about not checking reviews of this place, this place is the worst, they make you wait for a really long time, if you have an appointment be ready to wait for at least 2 hours more, medical personal are not sure about medical procedures, they make appointments for exams that they can do that day, and the list goes on, not sure how theyre still in business, sad that business is family health.
Another reviewer commented that if you have an appointment the wait time is between 45 minutes to an hour, I am still sitting in the waiting room at 1.5 hrs past my appointment time and I got here 15 minutes early. Its ALWAYS like this and this is the last time I will be going here.
In the last 5 years I have been treating at Buford Family Practice, the staff is always friendly, the receptionists speak Spanish and are always willing to help. Every time I have medical tests or any analysis, as soon as the results are obtained, the nurses call me to communicate the result and give me the option of obtaining an appointment so that they can be explained if necessary at ease. They are always aware of my health and the medicines are always on time at my chosen pharmacy, even though I have only seen Dr. Osawa a couple of times, the team of certified nurses they have are very well prepared and always go more than what I think I need them, they ensure the necessary tests to obtain a better result regarding my health. I recommend this facility 100%.

2022-06-29I just started going to this doctor. I am trying to schedule my 3-month follow up and after leaving messages twice last week and twice this week, I still have not received a call back.Decided to stop by - perhaps phones were down and here’s what is taped to the front door. Guess they closed their door for good….Today’s the 28th and there are packages piling up.I’ve decided to file a complaint with both the GA Composite Medical Board and the DCH. I had to pay out of pocket $500 and will now I have to find another doctor and start all over. They are violating the provisions of the Medical Practice Act.

2022-05-24Superb care!! Ive been a patient of Dr.Osowa for Years and when I tell you he is the most kind, caring Dr. you can come in contact with, believe me. He takes the time to listen (Lord I can come in with some mouth) and address your needs promptly. If youre looking for someone who cares and excellent bedside manners, look no further! 2022-06-10I will say 0 stars.I went there because I felt with short of breath and with a positive covid home test.I arrived there at 3.10 and they did not want to see me.I said I was sick but they said they couldnt because they did walkings till 3.00 and I had to go to other urgent care. I was a patient of them.Never again I will go there. They do not care about patients.

Melinda was super kind, helpful, and patient, and went above and beyond to make sure they had what I needed them to. Shes fast and efficient, and her customer service is spot on!

2022-04-08My family saw Dr. Osowa 18 years ago, when he first started his practice in the Buford area. As our community grew, his practice did too, and I started noticing his office staff wasnt able to keep up with the pace. In addition to being rude, they were making lots of mistakes, one that actually costed me thousands of dollars.Dr. Osowa was the best Dr. I had ever seen, but I could not continue to go there, due to the incompetency of his staff. We bounced around to other offices, and I never found a Dr. I admired and respected like Dr. Osowa. After many years, we have decided to try his office again. The staff seems much more professional this time. I just got off the phone with Melinda, who is new to his office. She was kind, respectful and very helpful, which are some of the traits Dr. Osowa has. I am hoping this time around, his office staff will be able to match the professionalism of Dr. Osowa! Thank you Melinda, for your great customer service this morning.

I was very emotional and my mother and son are the 2 most important people in my life.My family appreciates again what you have done.for my mom and we will NEVER forget that.Again I say you are in our thoughts and prayers and we really hope that everything in your personal life gets better. 2022-06-28Apparently they have been closed for 2 weeks and still closed. Sadly they failed to inform their patients, send out emails, update their phones and let us sit on hold like idiots for hours. They have finally responded to an email and suggested I find another doctor to get my prescriptions refilled. Are you kidding me, I have been waiting 2 weeks already. Gross negligence and no regards or care for their patients.

2021-11-09Ignore all the previous negative reviews. My experience with the staff have been excellent and the provide the best care Ive seen from all the clinics Ive visited over the years. The price is acceptable for those who cant afford insurance and compared to other clinics in the area its very fair. The desk clerks always give the best customer service imaginable. Highly recommended.

2021-10-14I love this place. I have been bringing my kids here since they were born. I absolutely love Hazel and Luz that work the front desk. They are always very attentive, funny and my kids love them. I love the fact that they know us by name. The doctors there are amazing. They are always upfront straight flawed and they have never sugar coated anything when it came to our health care concerns and practices. It’s been almost 9 years since we’ve been coming here and we will continue to come here until their doors close which hopefully be NEVER!!!!
