If you want fresh bait to include live crickets, this is your spot. The boat landing is wide enough for even the newby could do it with no problems..Did i mention the bike trail with a workout circuit. If your feel the nature call you can venture a little ways down the bike trail to find a few boysenberry trees for a little snack..
This shop had a much smaller inventory than I expected a fishing shop to have. It only carried one type of fishing line (clear monofilament), and did not have a very large selection of lures, weights, or other tackle. This place would be fine if you need to pick up some worms before you throw your line in the river, but I guess I was just expecting much more from a shop whose sole purpose is to cater to fisherman.
I have visited this shop many and I must add to that reveiw about this shop not having anything or being a shop just to buy a box of worms,I must say that this shop does carry your last minute needs, it has plenty of weights of all sizes and has just about every live bait possiable. This is not a kinda shop that carries everything it is mostly for your bank fisherman ( it is not a BassPro) But this shop will go beyound to find what ever it is you are looking for if they do not have it and they will order it and just for you. Most of all you will always find a friendly smile with all service and they make you feel like family.. So if you want a friendly place that has served this city for many years stop on by they will be more then happy to wait on you...

2022-06-15I enjoy the company of the owner, Ferrell Williams and his daughter Angie. Theyre always good for laughter, love, God and jokes. Bait is always available and VW helps out a lot. Right there by the Chattahoochee river a good location

2021-03-27Super friendly folks. Small but helpful selection of tackle. Decent selection of bait choices: minnows, worms, crickets. The ramp and parking are free. Paved lanes wide enough for 2 rigs at a time and a large floating dock on the upstream side.

2021-06-09Awesome people. We forgot sunscreen for my daughter. I went in to buy some but they were out. The lady there gave my daughter her personal sunscreen. Couldn’t have found nicer people. Crickets and worms are cheap too. Very hospitable

2020-09-04Good place right in the river to get you bait and fishing gear. Its so convenient right in front of the boat ramp. Ak entrance to the Riverwalk and bike trail. Its just the perfect place for a bait store.

2020-05-22Actually went to Rotary Park not Bulldog Bait and Tackle. But I do love the easy access to the Riverwalk. There is a lot less people at this point so its a great place to go running. You dont have to serpentine around the people sightseeing! Its just a lot more calm and less fishy smelling!
