Always a special place!, if you don’t eat there, sit and have a good glass of wine, and enjoy the conversation, it’s part of the Surrey Center vibe! Be sure to get you a facial with Debbie S, at Cucumber and Mint, then walk next door and get a glass of wine for the night!!! It’s the thing to do for yourself!!!!
Bad device cold food. Lady brought to the car 5 drinks have a good day wow 55 dollars for 5 drinks o jade to go inside for the rest of the order . Dont really care for mc Donalds but they are better then what we had today garden salad was the worst and how do you mess that up dont recommend there restuarant
Last night I savored the most delicious meal I have ever put in my mouth...TRULY! I’m not one to exaggerate, so believe me when I say my first experience with Lobster Savannah was insanely good! The chef prepared it perfectly, and I mean PERFECTLY, and presented it beautifully! Shane, our server, was excellent as well. There was no detail left undone! I can’t stop without thanking the gentleman who seated us, served our beverages, and helped us select a wine to compliment our dinners. FABULOUS in every way!
A great meal in a fantastic location. Our server, Lori, did a really great job taking care of us. The owner also came by to check on us and really made us feel welcome. I had the special which was the the seafood platter which was fantastic. The other three had the salmon with scallops and they all loved it. The decor and atmosphere was great with background music. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Very disappointed with Calvert”s food and service tonight! I’ve always loved the quiet upscale dining. The atmosphere was still awesome but the meals for 5 out of six people were either over cooked or seasoned too spicy.I will NEVER take friends there again. Very disappointing! Average price, $75 per person , should have been superb!
There were flowers on the table I for one loved it very much because they were my favorite flowers which were roses. The menu had some mouthwatering dishes, but I settled for dessert instead. The crime brulee was exquisite and was served with fruit. This is such a wonderful experience here. I cant wait to come back again.
Exceptionally exquisite were the two words that came to mind when asked to review this restaurant. They have a wonderful wine selection and the service was consistently excellent. The filet mignon was the most tender and succulent that Ive ever had in Augusta and the sides were well paired. I ate here as part of a guest lecture party, so I cant speak to the price, but I imagine for the quality of food and service I received it would be one of the more expensive places in town. A wonderful place for an anniversary or special occasion. Highly recommend.
Really just an average experience for me. I thought all vegetarian options were so bland and tasteless. I would have left very disappointed but it was a free meal from my boss so I politely ate. For an upscale restaurant there needs to be a lot more flavor and options for people of all food restrictions. I dont know if Ill ever really go back. The staff were flawless and the meal was cooked well. Its just so surprising that anyone could make a pasta dish for bland.
We decided to try this restaurant for date night. When you walk in it has a very nice inviting atmosphere. I would never bring my kids to this restaurant but while we were there three toddlers came. We had Smoked Fish Charcuterie as an appetizer and it was amazing. Everything tasted wonderful and the dish left you wanting more.
Great service and is a very popular place. Perhaps a little staid in decor and cuisine. We first came here in 1984 when it was cutting edge - and just about the only game in town for fine dining. Now we feel like it is still the same place we visited back then in terms of surroundings and cuisine.Good for them if they have a winning formula but we rarely come here now.
We ate inside this establishment this evening and we had the best waitstaff ever Mr. Beasley and Ms. Monieka were great. Its been a long time since we had service in a restaurant anywhere that good. They were kind, caring, considerate, courteous, and compassionate . Every restaurant needs to take a lesson from th
In a word, overrated. There are newer place that has better quality food. The quality here is inconsistent. Have been here several times, sometimes its great, sometimes its bad. Last night in particular, the meat felt like it was thawed in water. The server offers to grill it close to medium well but it still tastes bad. So sad for the meat.
I was full from a big lunch so wanted to try something small and decided on a soup and salad. I tried the sweet potato soup ($8) and assumed for the price that it would be a bowl and it was not. I think thats a little steep for a cup of soup. Ive paid that before for lobster bisque, but I think I chalked that up to it having seafood in it.
Superb, quiet, old-school fine dining. Warm and friendly staff made for an excellent upscale meal our. Our server had 16 years experience at Calverts and was great. He helped us make great seafood and pork selections. Great wine! Great salads. This place has been here a long time and they continue to be one of Augustas finest. All Augustans should visit here at least once!
I attended a surprise birthday party at Calverts Restaurant Friday night, October 30, 2015. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, the room was set up with beautiful fresh flowers in vases and candlelight, the food was cooked to perfection. Our waitress, Kaye, was professional yet personable. We were allowed to decorate the room any way we liked! I would recommend Calverts to anyone who enjoys great food and great service! (The staff even kept a surprise visitor from out-of-state a secret and helped her to surprise the birthday girl!)
Finally got seated over an hour later than our reservation. Slow service, forgotten appetizers, meals sent back due to being so salty it was inedible, half the table got deserts, the others were not even asked. Over priced. Just to name a few of our groups compliants. It was not a Happy New Year. We will not be returning.
One of the worst meals I have had in a long time! Im in town for the Masters and thought I would try this family owned restaurant.....needless to say the food and service were below par. If you are planning to visit Augusta during the Masters I would highly suggest dining somewhere other than Calverts. Overpriced and out of date pretty much sums it up.
The food was fantastic and the staff was incredibly friendly. I only wish they would have asked the table who was passing around a breathalyzer that was beeping EXTREMELY loud and laughing hysterically if maybe they could have been more considerate of everyone around them.
Calverts is the most elegant, delightful atmosphere with staff who care about their customers. Up until 6pm, you have available the Sunset specials which is around $30/couple. This consists of choices such as: seafood crepe, salmon, sirloin that can be upgraded to a filet, and a chicken entree. When celebrating a special occasion you have the option of getting their homemade chocolate ralaige dessert that is amazing!! After 6 or 6:30pm you can order many delicious meals off the menu. Despite what time of the evening you eat you are presented with delicious toasted crackers with a cheese spread and a salad. With your meal you have a basket of rolls to dine on. Craig, the owner, walks through his restaurant to speak and converse with his patrons!

2022-04-12This was my first time and it was awesome!! Our table was ready when we arrived. I was with my daughter and her husband and all 3 of us were very happy with everything from our extremely attentive and helpful waitress to the deliciousness of our food. The shrimp appetizer was to die for and my rib-eye was cooked to perfection. My daughter had the veal and was just as impressed as was my son-in-law who had the pasta. We brought a cake my son-in-law baked for my birthday. The waitress kept it in the walk-in until we were ready and then was so helpful with serving it even though we brought it in with us.It is definitely pricey but for the quality of the food and service, its well worth every cent!! Would definitely go back if given the opportunity! (I wished I could remember our servers name)

2022-06-26We have been going here for years, taken a few groups here and always had a wonderful experience. Tonight was not one of this nights. We had Jessica as our server tonight and she was wonderful. She was very attentive, professional and has such a friendly smile!Right after we got our drinks, Trisha(not our server) came up to my son and told him he should not be wearing a hat and should put his napkin in his lap. The way she went about it was very inappropriate and uncalled for. My son was wearing a nice polo shirt and pants. I said something to our server about it and she was very apologetic and agreed Trisha shouldn’t have said anything like that. On the way out, I said something to the female manager and got a smirk and “ok understood.” No apology, no sympathy, no “I’ll speak with her,” no “that was uncalled for,” nothing. I am extremely disappointed and we decided we will not back. If there is a problem with something like this, it should be addressed upon entering an establishment. Not while we’re seated and by another server.

2022-03-14Went there to celebrate bfs birthday. Making the reservation was great; got there and took several minutes to get our waitress to our table. Food was good but perhaps not the best steak Ive had. The cheesecake was very dry. Not sure I would be back, even though the staff was attentive and the ambience very nice.

2022-03-17The best fine dining experience in the CSRA! The food is incredible! The staff is very kind and fun to be around. The building itself is very clean and well maintained. We try to go about once a year. This year, were already thinking about going back sometime close to the holiday season. Wonderful, simply wonderful restaurant!

2022-06-03The food was excellent. Although its been awhile since our last visit, its nice to know that the quality and service has not changed.
