A less than stellar experience. It took three different orders before we found something they had available. Lots of time spent waiting for someone to take an order, as well as no napkins until half way thru the meal & no cutlery. Finally, there were random tomatoes on my pizza instead of romas as the menu indicated. Ill be gracious and chaulk it up to supply chain issues. Ill be back to confirm.
Sweet sweet tea. That was twice intentionally. The pizza crust was great, dont make the mistake of throwing it out from habit like I almost did. There were pieces of basil leaves folded underneath. Even the side salad was good. Went on a Friday afternoon, best $8 lunch special Ive had in this area. Moderate wait with only one working server and bartender, but worth it for quality food. No complaints.
I went in their location in Little Five Points. Im not sure if they automatically assumed that I would just take my meal to go because thats the first question that the hostess asked me. When I decided that I would stay there to eat the waiter came he took my order he asked me if I wanted potato chips or French fries. I requested french fries when theyOrder came there were potato chips. When I pointed it out to the waiter he was oh I forgot. There was no extension of courtesy of napkins for me. How was I to wipe my hands or my mouth after I finish eating. As I got up to leave I couldnt help but feel as though they thought that I was going to run out without paying for my meal as employees start walking out from the back and watching me.I will not patronize this establishment ever again.
The food was very good but service is subpar. My wife has dairy sensitivities, which she expressed to the waiter. The waiter messed up her pizza order and gave her a pizza with mozzarella, even though she talked with him about their vegan cheese and asked for it when she ordered her pizza (the two friends we dined with attested to this later). When it was brought to his attention, he apologized, took it back, and replaced it with the correct pizza. But when he did so, in a very weird victim-blaming move he passive aggressively told her she should’ve been clearer about what she wanted (again, our friends backed her up and said they did remember her asking him for the vegan cheese). Finally, he messed up our checks, and mixed the food orders and drink orders between the two separate checks (charging us for our friends’ burger, sauce, and drinks, and charging our friends for some of our stuff), leaving us to do the calculations so we could cashapp each other so that we’d pay the correct amounts.
We order for curbside pickup. The process was great! We ordered the uncle pesto and it was delicious.**Update:I usually love Camelis pizza. I will say their monster slices are always great. Their large pizza pies not so much. We ordered four pizzas for a party and this margherita pizza was the saddest margherita I have ever seen. I felt like I was drinking out of a ragu bottle. The other pizzas were still good. Uncle pesto is stilly favorite. They will still get 5 stars from me because the other options are still great. Ill just stay away from their margherita.
Basic food joint ...seems to be more for drinks and smoking cigarettes. The pasta was dry with little red Bolognese sauce. The meatballs were not big and bland. The capreese was good but small tomatoes and tiny mozzarella cheese like little balls in halves so not large at all but tasted decent. Seems pizza was the staple so try that instead.
Try the Papa pizza it’s amazing! I don’t remember the name of my drink but it was smooth (whisky blend). Our waiter was cool and really helped me with the menu, his hair matched my green nails ( amazing). I also loved listening to the pop music (Brittney, Christina, Destiny Child, etc) made me reminisce about the early 2000s. I really enjoyed this place and I’m glad we stopped in.
Absolutely Love Camelis Pizza Slices. Their Pizza Slice is listed as Monstrous- This is so Accurate! For a while they had a really awesome special thats now regrettably no more; $7 for a pint (beer of your choice) and slice with 2 toppings. Sadly wont be going as much because the prices are a bit steep otherwise. Overall, good place for a slice of pizza!Pictured: Slice with tomato, fresh basil, garlic & olive oil + a pint of 420
Best gluten free pizza I have had and the waitress knew immediately what was GF and what was not. The regular pizza was outstanding too, according to my friends. Great drinks, and there was a lot of friendly interaction from staff. We came from Wisconsin and will be back when we return!!
Very disappointed with my first Pizza experience here. I am a vegan and cannot have regular cheese they do have vegan cheese but they charge $4 %and have a fan rotating blowing on your food.... My queen was freezing and now is sick... Asked server multiple times for everything... When I went to ask him for things he was On His Cellllll phone! Like for real.... Then the pizza came out... It was the pizza with potatoes.... But it was undercooked and plain... Very disappointed.. We were so hungry cause A3C so we just ate it, but it was sick... Then we get the bill and finally see the upcharge.... I think that the price shouldnt vary due to healthiness smh... So sad... MELLOW MUSHROOM IT IS STILL.... SOsad
I brought my big crew (5 kids) in there for the little five points Halloween monster Hunt and was very impressed. Our server was super attentive, friendly, and our food arrived in a timely fashion. And it was delicious! I will definitely be back. My little monster got the mommys little monster slice and was very happy!
Camelis is my favorite pizza restaurant in Little 5, maybe even Atlanta. Unlike most pizza restaurants, Camelis leans towards more vegetarian and vegan pizzas. They do offer meat options for toppings if that doesnt float your boat. They only have two sizes for pizza: small (personal) and large (2-4 servings), but they have other options like calzones. Anytime Ive eaten there Ive never felt like I ate pizza. Its a much lighter pizza, but it is very tasty. The prices are affordable, the staff is friendly, two bars, and it even has roof seating. Check them out.
The FOOD Chicken was burn and HARD SOME of the pasta was a little hard and one of the chicken tender was hard and the waitress service was BAD THEY didnt come check to see if you WANTED ARE needed anything they are not what they use to BE AND the bathroom was NASTY THEY need to train THEIR waitress better
The servers were very friendly but half of them were not wearing masks. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a pasta, and it took them 20 mins to prepare when there weren’t many people around. My friend chicken sandwich had a weird blackish crust which doesn’t have any taste. The chicken itself was juicy which might be the only good thing about the sandwich. My SO had a pasta that’s also very boring.
If I could give it no stars that would be nice... first let me say I drove from camp creek to moreland ave in the worst traffic... brought it home my daughter just said it looks like paper... we sat down at 1:50pm pizza didnt come out til 2:40 there was one waitress we sat there for over 40mins waiting on food no refills on drinks after food came no refills after food only came back to give us the check we were there for over an 1 1/2 or a little longer no refills then when the pizza came out where is the cheese pepperoni what is this and I couldnt get the burnt taste out my mouth thats all I taste. I will let you be the judge
The vegan pizza here is SO GOOD. Better than Plant based Pizzeria. Trust me, I was shocked when I took my first bite. They dont have any vegan meat options but the cheese a veggies were so good you dont need that extra stuff. The crust is very thin and guilt free. The pizza isnt dry and basic, its oozing with cheese (which is hard to find with vegan pizza) and has a good amount of pizza sauce, but Id suggest getting a extra side of sauce on the side. From now on when I want vegan pizza, I can only get it from here. Its DELICIOUS and the cheese doesnt taste wierd or like cardboard. And lastly, its wayyyyyy cheaper than all those other vegan pizza places. You wont be disappointed. Enjoy. 😉
I ordered on UberEATS twice in one week. The food is usually great. Last night I ordered the monster slice and wings. The wings tasted a little different but I paid no attention. After eating, I started to feel stomach pains. I have been vomiting. I have been sick all day. I think I have food poisoning. I hate this feeling.
Celiac safe gluten free pizza!! We were visiting from Denver this weekend and wow was this a treat. The waiter was friendly and knowledgable of celiac safe procedures. He also said the owner is celiac. I had the Bougee pizza on GF crust and it was fantastic! My husband said the regular crust was great too.The leftovers were delicious back at the hotel too!
Ask the staff upstairs for the Super Secret Sauce Sheet™ (yes you have to say the entire thing including trademark) for the wings. Theyll tell you 4 times that it isnt real, then you have to give the password (Rinky Dinky Winkie Slinky. The first letters of each word [RDWS] are the owners initials) before completing a 360 degree turn while standing. Theyll continue to deny that its real until you order a PBR. Once you order the pbr, youll get a PBR and the Super Secret Sauce Sheet™Im really glad I did this. If you dont believe me, look at the sauce choices for their wings on the normal menu. They have one flavor available to the general public. Seems strange, right? Well now you know why.Thank me later.(The Pad Thai and Smokin Louisiana are MY EFFING FAVORITE!!)
This couldve been a five star, but consistency is key, and they dont have it. I came here last week, we had a large pizza with 3 toppings. When I say this pizza was so meaty and delicious, we could only eat two slices a piece. We came back again today and I honestly honestly couldve gotten a better looking meatier pizza from little Cesars 🤢
First time visiting and the food was amazing. I loved the monster slice of pizza (spinach and mushroom). The wings and fries were good too. But my absolute favorite was the Titos frozen lemonade. It was delicious. (Titos is my favorite vodka) Will definitely be recommending this place to others. The rooftop was nice. Kinda muggy and hot at first but when the sun set and the wind started blowing then it was perfect.
We stopped here for lunch on the way back from our trip. We had a group of 10 (4 adults, 6 teenagers 13-16). We waited about 30 mins, which for a group that size is OK. The pizza was very good I thought and the teenagers loved it. The staff that we had was great and very friendly. Can definitely recommend this place.
Convenient and free parking right on the side of their bldg. Friendly and prompt service. The monster slice pizza was huge and delicious. The sweet tea was extra sweet :-) and the chicken and spinach ravioli was very flavorful. Perfect for a casual dinner.Main floor dining and patio is wheelchair accessible, but rooftop is not.
This is a nice nook in the corner type business. Very cozy and warm feeling to have a pizza, drinks and watch a game if you like sports. This business has a bar area and also regular seating. The staff has great customer service. The key to having a great place to eat is a clean kitchen and building, awesome staff, and great fresh food.
Worth the hype. This place has Atlanta Pizza - if you know what I mean- not NY style, not chicago, just good yummy great ingredient Atlanta style pizza. Highly recommend it if youre looking to crush that pizza craving with something out of the box and refreshing. Portions are generous.
This place is so much fun and Eric is a great dj. What a great selection of music he had. This was the first time i have gotten to eat real pizza in decades because they have vegan cheese!!! (I still the a lot of meat on it lol). I forgot how much I absolutely love pizza.Stop in and go upstairs on a Saturday night for great food and great music.
One of worst experiences dining out Ive ever had. The waitress messed up our order 4 or 5 times, forgot to give us our appetizer, never refilled a drink. She also cleared our table in the middle of eating without saying a word. Food was ehhh. The entire staff was blazed out of their minds. I can understand why there were only 3 customers in the building at 5pm.
This is a great lunch spot. The monster slice is as advertised (huge), but what really makes the pizza is the folded over crust with tomato sauce on the inside. So good!Had the Cuban sandwich here once, which was good but not great. Waitresses are generally very attentive. Solid place to eat.
This is my GO-TO place for ALL things Chicken Wings, Onion Rings & Pizza. The place is Clean with a retro feel, can get crowded so arrive early on a weekend say 3pm or your gonna wait. TVs for your favorite sports team, the crowds are Fan Friendly. Views upstairs on the outside deck during a sunset will put you in a MOOD☺. The food well like I said, EVERYTHING PIZZA...
This place is fantastic! Friendly and attractive staff, excellent pizza made with very fresh ingredients. As other reviewers said the butternut squash ravioli is awesome! View of the city from the upstairs bar and patio is beautiful after dark. They also have creative cupcake specials that are made by a member of the staff. I could go on more but I think you get the picture...its bomb
Sad to see another great restaurant fall apart. I’ve been a big fan for over 12 years. The new location is fine. The problem really lies in the lack of cleanliness, lethargic waitstaff, and the ever dropping quality control of their food. I hope they can rally. Fingers crossed they come around again.
We placed a large order for our office and there was a mix up with the pizza. Or order did not match the picture that we saw and the pizza did not taste good at all. I call and spoke with one of the employees and she understood how it could be mixed up. As one of my co workers was leaving to return the pizza, the manager (sarah I believe) called back and said that it was not her fault that the pizza did not look like the picture that we saw when we ordered it!?!? First and last time EVER eating here again! Oh fyi, even the pasta wasnt really that good!
I ordered the margarita pizza. Nothing custom or intense. My mother ordered a similar pizza and they were absolutely smothered in tomato sauce. The pizza became soggy, there was a deep pool of tomato sauce on my plate from sauce that had fallen off the pizza. Noone was content with their pizza. Not coming back.
Great pizza place! I got their basic Marguerita and it was delicious. I also tried the garlic bread and it was amazing as well.Definitely sit on their roof patio and enjoy a great view of the little five. The only negative for me was that they only had one unisex restroom upstairs. Since this place is so good, it does get packed and the line can be pretty ridiculous. We went there during a halloween parade and even though it was crowded, the service was amazing!
Disappointed. Food(meatballs and pasta) came out ice cold with 2 smallish meatballs. Asked waitress to reheat and came back lukewarm. The garlic bread was good..... The waitress was sweet. The rest of my part enjoyed their meals, burgers and calzone. I guess it was an off night for pasta....
Camelis is a pretty nice pizza place. Liked it more when the rooftop was more attached to the place. Was bummed about it. Bartender seemed to be playing a personal playlist not really suited for a restaurant. More like a mosh pit. Server was great. Very personable young lady.
I love this place! The food... Excellent (seriously get the calzoni and the fried ravioli... Amazeballs!) The staff... Friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is really what makes the place. Right in the heart of Little Five Points its a chill and relaxing place (especially when the DJs spinning old school music on the upstairs patio when the wind is blowing lightly and dusk is setting in. Its a real vibe. Visit Camelis
The bartenders were amazing.I was blessed to stop by at shift change and have the pleasure of catching two very wonderful attentive faces of your establishment. One was a young man with long blond hair who went to Grady and the other a Drama Grrl from Jasper. Its moments like these that make Camelis the place to bring a group over any other in 5 points. Ambiance. Your staff brought it IN ABUNDANCE. When the reat of the skinny jean millenial cell phone staffs of other joints in this area think they are too hip to wait on you, its nice to find a staff who appreciates the customer. And the pizza was good.
Camelis gets 5 stars because it is my favorite calzone in the city of Atlanta. The bread is always perfect and each bite has cheese and the fillings I have asked for (spinach, feta and pepperoni.. YUM!) There is a bar upstairs too, which is the late night hang out for service industry folks. If you dont like smoking, though, dont go upstairs. Stay downstairs and enjoy your calzone!
I patronize this restaurant today at lunch time. HORRIBLE THE PIZZA WAS SO SOGGY and just plain nasty, greasy. The food at this restaurant was very good about 6 months ago. This is my 5th time patronizing this place, The wings are tastless with sauce. I WILL NEVER EVER PATRONIZE THIS DUMP AGAIN!!!!
Our food and service were below average and the price was a bit above average. I probably wouldnt of thought anything about the price ($62 bucks, 3 people, tip included, no alcohol) but then they charged me 50 cents extra for a side of ranch. Kinda a little petty but that ranch isnt killin their bottom line.
Camelis, IMO, has food and rooftop dining area in Little 5 Points/very near Edgewood that scream 4-5 stars, but my last 2 visits consisted of servers that were rude and unattentive to my table which included out of town guests! On my last visit, our server (name unknown but she was a brunette wearing transparent tights with a crop top). When asked a question about the drink menu that she wouldnt answer, she just didnt return to our table...as if she was too dignified to serve us! We sat for about 20 minutes without water, utensils, etc.until what appeared to be a bus boy was willing to just fill in and serve my group. While my food was and always is amazing, I can honestly say the most recent, lackadaisical servers need to seek employment elsewhere!! They only looked up to during 1. Commercial breaks, 2. Personal convo pauses and/or 3. Our flailing arms used to wave them down. At one point, my visiting guest gave up, got up and grabbed us some utensils from the supply shelf to ensure we could eat our food whilst still hot. Smh.
I really enjoyed myself here!!! The food was great, yhe service was stellar, and the restaurant is clean and comely!!The food came out fastIve been here twice and both experiences were excellent! My first time was for a meeting and the food was delish!! Came out fast too! The second time was for a special event held on the super cute patio upstairs! They accommdated the party very well and the food was great!!They have great drink specials and something going on each night of the week! Trivia on Thursdays, Karaoke on Fridays.... definitely check Camelis out!
The food is so good here. I only gave it 3 stars because half the staff seemed too high to be in public, much less be at work. Our server messed up multiple parts of our order, spilled our drinks all over the table while putting them down, and served me a double in a short glass for some reason...I will be back because the food is so good but I don’t expect much service wise.
Oh after a hard day for me an my daughter, Carnellis made our day ending as though the best day ever. The food was great as well as a variety of great drinks selections and oh my the music/the DJ was the thrill of the night and lking forward to our next visit. To all that read this post you to ck it out at least once and I promise u will luv it and the people. Tks Camelis for making me and my daughters day a prefect ending. Until our next visit soon.
Calzones are DELICIOUS!! The service is also usually good. The cooks are hit and miss though. Usually our calzones are perfect, but twice now weve gone and had questionable food. Once, there was just stacked pepperoni inside my calzones. Nothing else.... Lol barely any cheese. Very weird. I assume they were training??
Stopped in for a couple slices last night with my homegirl... I love pizza but my homegirl not a big pizza fan... I had 2 slices of cheese and she had a slice with bacon and pineapple... THE PIZZA WAS THE BOMB... the crust was oh so amazing and just tasted like fresh dough... Ill be back soon... my homegirl loved it... she just kept saying its soooooo good and it hit the spot
This place is extremely expensive for no reason spent 98.00 on 1veggie pizza that was dry and burnt, lasagna with no taste and a calzone which cost extra for the meats ,3 drinks, side of garlic rolls with no taste of garlic still trying to figure out what was 98.00 spent on. Think Ill stick to Savage pizza instead
I never got a chance to try the food. My son and I went in there the other night and no one came to wait on us for at least ten minutes so we left. There were only two other occupied tables and three guests so there was no excuse. They must not be interested in new customers. I will never go back. They have lost my business. I have more than a millions fans on Facebook and I always talk about restaurants that I like. They lost out on some free advertisement but I will not put them on blast since I never got to taste anything.
I cant believe it. I cant believe they have a secret wing sauce menu that you have to jump through so many hoops to get. I gave the PBR to my gf because Im an IPA fan only, but the Smokin Louisiana is by far my favorite.11/10 would say Rinky Dinky Winkie Slinky again.
Waitress was surly and unpleasant; while the service wasnt terrible and food arrived quickly her attitude was unforgivable especially when I watched her get visibly pissed and sigh out loud when a large group came in. Family liked the pizza but 12 dollars (4 dollars extra to add cold chicken) for a small Greek salad is ridiculous, especially when non pitted olives are thrown in. Better food and service elsewhere.
I wasn’t pleased. My food was cold even with my driver getting here on time. I’m assuming my food was ready and sitting out before it was marked ready because I noticed after I called they changed the status to ready to pickup. They were busy but that’s no excuse. I was cut off while talking and given an excuse for my food being wrong and cold. I won’t be eating here ever again.
A buddy told me about this Super Secret Sauce Sheet™ that lists super secret wing flavors. I didnt believe it at first because every place that serves wings has to have more than one wing flavor listed, I mean who doesnt? So I went the other day to test it out. Mind you there are very specifc instructions you must follow to unlock said menu (my friend informed me of them earlier). So, I asked my server for the Super Secret Sauce Sheet™ to my surprise they denied me four times of any such thing existing.Heres when it gets crazy.....Thinking to myself, I wonder if my friends just screwing with me really hard or if its actually real. I proceeded to give the password (Rinky Dinky Winkie Slinky) thinking this is dumb as hell. They continued to deny that it was real until I order a PBR. Once I order the pbr they told me to do a 360 standing up and Ill get the sauce sheet. To my disbelief i got the Super Secret Sauce Sheet™

2022-05-01Welcome to Narnia (lol)……Camille thank you for your wonderful service at Cameli’s Pizza your personality and professionalism can’t be replaced xoxo. I’ve passed this place a million times and I will confess I should have come here much sooner. Free parking around the back and you can sip Frosé on the rooftop overlooking Moreland Ave. I stopped here on Saturday 4/30/22 after a late night Target run and I’m so glad I did. I got the fries, 6 piece wing (sauce on the side) and side salad which is HUGE (I added kalamata olives) and of course the Frosé babyyyy 🌹🍷 I loved the vibe here, so if you’re looking for a cool 😎 laid back affordable pizza spot with a Little 5 flair then come here ASAP…I will be back!P.S. Kitchen closes at 11:30pm last call at 1:50am 😘

2022-03-21Camille was delightful server. We play games every Monday starting at about 5:30. I had the sausage and spinach Calzoni and my husband had the Cuban Panni. Everything that I had here has been great.

2021-09-07It’s possible we just ordered the wrong thing, but we were thoroughly unimpressed. The service was great but the food was woefully bland. The bolognese sauce was lacking in flavor and overly meaty. The fried chicken was juicy but also just lacking quality flavor. Nothing stood out.

2022-03-292 Stars.5 of us for dinner. Dinner time--7pm. No rush (we were one of only three tables during our entire visit.) Prices are reasonable as our bill was just under $120 with a standard tip.We ordered a variety of eats from salads to pasta, fries, and sandwiches.Fries were great. The third order of fries was the best as it was clearly fresh from the fryer and they were crispy and scrumptious...a tad on the salty side, but I thought they were pretty great!I ordered theCameli Cubano Panini Sandwich described as follows:Genoa salami, capicola ham, Havarti cheese, yellow mustard, and pickles on our rosemary focaccia. It was not pressed (not a panini) and had about as much meat and cheese as a 6th graders Lunchables® kit. This wasnt even a distant cousin to anything recognizable as a Cubano or a panini. If you like eating stale focaccia with Frenchs yellow mustard, it might be your jam. Ive included a picture of an actual Cubano Panni sandwich in this review to compare it with what I got. It is titled Not Camelis.Menu items came out at different times for our party which made digging in while food was still hot a little awkward. The side that came with my sandwich (an upcharge) was forgotten and I had to ask for it later. I ordered a Diet Coke which I consumed pretty quick with the delicious fries ... But never got asked for, or received a refill--the next visit from the server was the bill. So I left pretty thirsty. It seems like this place does pretty good for ordering pizza by the slice, but I wouldnt recommend going for a group of more than 2 people (again, we were 5 folks). Id also shy away from anything that is not pizza--especially leave the World Famous Panni Sandwiches alone because if they are indeed famous, its for all the wrong reasons.

2021-12-21Food and drinks were very good. Wishing I could give 5 stars but the service was extremely slow and we were only 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant. Took 20 minutes just to get a drink from the bar.

2022-06-04Just ate there - because a friend mistakenly went there instead of where we had planned. Orders included a burger, two salads and two orders of butternut squash ravioli. The burger came out almost burned for a medium temp order. Had to send back - rep lane t was better - but tasted like a salt lick. The ravioli was cooked so long it was tough and chewey. Salads were fine. Server acted as though it was an imposition to help us. The hostess - was delightful and thanked us as we left. IF we ever choose to eat there again - a likelihood of .000000000001% chance - I might try the pizza I hear they are known for. Don’t normally post bad reviews - but this was bad.

2022-04-30Tony the bartender was great and really added to the experience with his friendliness and depth of knowledge about the alcoholic beverage options, especially regarding ciders and sours. The pizza was excellent as well! Highly recommended!

2022-06-13Ordered a pizza, salad, and garlic bread through Ubereats and the order was delivered incorrectly. We called Cameli’s and Tony was so quick to resolve the issue without any hesitation. The pizza was excellent as always!

2022-06-13Solid slice of pizza and decent beer selection
