I can’t say enough positive things to describe our latest visit to Camping World. My husband and I went looking for a camper and we were fortunate enough to get Julius Jordan to show us the Camping World inventory. However, Mr Jordan selected only those models reflectingour likes. Needless to say, he saved us not only time but found the right camper for us. During this whole time, Mr Jordan patiently answered our questions and provided his knowledge so we felt at ease in making our selection. Hats off to Camping World for hiring Mr Jordan!
Experience with Camping World and Ashley, sales rep was very good. Feel we’ve made the right choice with our new 2022 Montana High Country. Looking forward to many wonderful days of camping. Walk thru with Larry was most helpful and beneficial, as there’s a lot to learn.
I think people need to look at dealer rating to get a better idea of this crooked place as far as we are concerned. We actually love our trailer/home just wish it was from somewhere else. We loved that they had new tires on it when we purchased but after storing it there apparently they swapped them on us. We picked up trailer when hospital contract was done drove less than 400 miles to new contract and had to replace tires. We of course gave the bill to camper’s world but I’m sure that is with the messages from us 4months ago to get a callback. The tire place’s told us that new tires would not have looked like these did after that mileage without axle damage. And when they replaced tires we had them checked for that of course and none found.I will never return to the camper’s world in Byron Ga. & will tell as many people as possible not to give them their business. Now I know corporate will get involved after this review realizing how bad this could have been and thankfully wasn’t. But I hope you do more than just give me the sorry that happened and go figure out what they are doing at a store that has your name on it.
My appointed time for service was speedy and accomplished while I waited. However, some work to correct the level lights for the black tank indicators did not correct the problems. The work performed temporarily showed that it was fixed, but by the time I got back to the RV Park, the indicator lights reverted back to the original problem, which was they displayed the tank to be 3/4 full when empty. The service center said to bring it back, but it was not convenient to do that. ALSO, work NOT performed was changed $150.00 for labor. This was to determine if it was feasible to install a inverter and receptacle for an added mini freezer. It was decided not cost effective and I thought the job was canceled by the technician and service dept., obviously it wasnt removed from the billing and was charged for labor not performed. Other work was performed with satisfactory results and professionalism.
As we were traveling across the country we managed to lose our sway bar, just one of them. Bob Raley at camper world helped us out with another sway bar without us having to buy a whole new hitch! It was the kind of service that makes you think you should definitely buy your next camper there.
There was a part that broke on our camper during the race weekend in Atlanta this past weekend and we called several camping places that were relatively close with no success. Reaching out to Bob Raley at Camping World in Macon (Byron) he was able to save the day. Even though we had to drive an hour back to pick it up he came in clutch for us in a time of need. He was very helpful, friendly, and personable during this whole experience. Hopefully there won’t be a next time but if there is Bob will be the first parts and or service guy we will call to start with!!
Store was clean and shelves looked fully stock. I was looking sewer hoses for my camper and a majority of the boxes on the shelves seem to have been opened or damaged. No associates on floor to ask for help and ended up having to ask the cashier if all the parts where in said box that was damaged. I figured if I walked around lost that someone would eventually asking I needed help but never did, so I checked out and left. The cashier, the one person I spoke to, was nice and friendly and pleasure to work with.
I have traveled many times back-and-forth across the country and have been to several Camping Worlds. Two of them I will never use again. The service I have received in Byron has been the best.Camping World in general is dealing with more and more RVs on the road and their service departments have not grown with the demand. I’m fortunate and glad that the Camping World in Byron is my homebase and will continue to use them for maintenance and service.P.S. it’s only 4 stars because there’s always room for improvement.😊
This will be the 3rd trip I will have to make back to Camping World to resolve issues. The last is while at the dumping station, after 3 days of camping, all of the plumbing came off. The grey and black water pluming fell off and dumped everything in the road. Plus I get the honor if crawling around in waste to reconnect the pipes so they are not dragging down the road. I was told when the camper was purchased, used camper, everything was checked and serviced. The gas and days off from work has made this experience awful. It’s a 2 hour drive and takes all day to complete the service. The only saving grace has been Brandi in service. She has tried her best to fix my issues and went out of her way to make things right. Love my camper and camping but can’t say the same for Camping World.
I took my month old Coleman camper to Camping World service center (Byron) because the inside lights were not working and other small issues. I made several calls to Scott who did not return my calls, including a female service manager who also told me she would call me back but never did. After 10 days I finally got some help from George the sales manager, but he told me they would look at my problem 2 weeks after I took it in. I do not recommend dealing with this service center.
As always customer service is great here and for the most part everyone has the same upbeat demeanor as Terri (shes the best) Brandy did a great job fitting me into their schedule and the service was surprisingly quick. Bob is great as always and very helpful. Scott was also very helpful in explaining things to me and making sure I had the right things I needed
If it was possible to give zero stars I would have. The repair facility here was a joke. I put my camper in for a two week repair that I was waiting for almost a year for them to get the parts four. Five months later they still have not finished the work. Even more they tore a hole in the kitchen floor and severely damaged the bed unit. Every time I called I had to re-explain why I was there. After almost 6 months I had to take back possession of my camper in worse condition than when I brought it there.Separate issue: I also made a claim with Geico for a damaged fender that happened from a flat tire on the way there and they took the money from Geico but did not repair the damage. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a service facility.
I won’t spend another dime at this location. Five weeks after dropping my RV off for maintenance I had to pick it up and take it to another service center. Five weeks and they still had not provided even a repair estimate. I called many times for updates and each time I was told they would call me back by the end of the day. They never once returned one of my calls until I told them I was coming to pick up my RV and take it elsewhere. Then they called me 3 times in just a few hours make sure they could get my credit card number so they could charge me for the for the diagnostic fee.
Working with Csmping World of Macon was an excellent experience on the purchase of our new 5th wheel camper. I would like to thank Bob in the parts department. He is very helpful and VERY knowledgeable on anything you need to know about campers. That department would be lost without him. Now I would like to personally thank Ashley Youngblood with your RV Sales department. With her personality, her energy and her willingness to go out of her way to help you is unbelievable. I feel she is a tremendous asset to your sales department......Thanks again,
Brandi Bliss is a God send to the Camping World Company in Byron,Georgia. She works very hard to follow through with promised times to have your RV completed. If she runs into any delays or problems, she calls to let you know. I really appreciate her genuine dedication to her job. We need more like her. Thanks Brandi.Pastor Robert
Disappointed... I have been a customer of CW of Byron for a long time to include the purchases of two (2) RVs. My wife and I are long time RVers and are currently on our 5th RV. Having owed everything from a class A and a 40 toy hauler to a single axle pop-up, I would consider us to be experienced and discerning shoppers. Upon entering the sales area we told the receptionist that we were interested is Class As and 5th wheels. Salesman Christopher C. quickly bounced out of his office. He asked us what we were interested in with his little check sheet and we told him. I immediately let him know that WE WERE NOT BUYING today and we were shopping for our 6th RV. He said he understood this but went straight to asking if we would be trading anything and wanting to get info on our current unit to get us numbers. I told him I did not care about getting numbers, we wanted to look at what units they had to offer. He finally took us outside and showed us exactly what we asked for. He did a good job with this but continued to disappoint as soon as we got back inside.Once back inside he used several tactics to encourage (pressure) me into getting a deal done. This is where my wife walked away. I felt like I was at a buy here-pay here car lot and I had the word stupid on my forehead. I asked for a brochure, which he provided, and a business card. He disappeared into the sales office and then finally came out to find me a card.I know that his job is to sale campers but there is more to it than that. I also know that he doesnt make commission by showing RVs but his shortsightedness has cost him and CW of Byron a future sale.Additionally, my wife commented on how unclean and unorganized the interior of the actual store looked compared to previous visits.Im not sure if its new management or just a lowered standard but aside from supplies it is unlikely we will be back. Especially after how well we were treated at other dealers located on the same exit.
Replaced awning fabric, wheel bearings, all system check and resealed all exterior with weather sealant. The service center was very efficient and professional. Scott and Bob are the ones taking care of our needs and they were great. Thanks for making us feel safe about our travel trailer. On 3-4-22 I came in to purchase a travel trailer in a rush because of a family emergency and needed it to leave with me the next day. Enter into the picture Chris Canion and Matthew Hall who worked for me on every step. The experience was more than I could ask for and they were exceptional and professional. Thanks to all of the service crew that worked on getting the camper ready. The best!
To bad you cant give a negative star. We bought a brand new camper in 2021 and we used it once and saw that it needed repairs. It took a month for them to get it in to repair and now going on 7 months total and not repaired, oh they said it was but when my husband went to pick it up it was worse. No customer service, they say they will call back but they dont. Once they get your money, they could care less. There should be a law against taking someones money and now their time trying to resolve this matter and the frustration that goes along with it. I regret the day I walked in to Camping World in Byron GA. I just wonder how they would feel if this were them. Dont buy from Camping World in Byron. The slogan if youre not happy Marcus Lemon (LOL) is not happy is false. I give a negative 5 stars. Camping World you got my money and my camper, but now word of mouth is what I give you and I talk a lot.
We recently purchased a travel trailer from Camping World of Macon and were very pleased with our entire experience. The staff was very helpful in our decision on which unit was right for us. Thank you Phillip everything! If anyone is in the market for a Camper or RV, please visit with Camping World!
The Wife and I have been avid outdoors & camping folks for over 20 years now… We love to: fish, beach comb, swim, explore, going to adventure parks or to hike the Appalachian foots hills almost any time of year, with the exceptions of; Tornado, Blizzard, or Hurricane weather! So, now we are at the senior age of our golden youth years at 50+ something and we no longer totally rough it, because we’ve grown quite accustom to; a hot shower, a real stove, and comfy bed while camping and in the sweltering heat of summer in the south and an air conditioner is an imperative must at the end of an long hot and overly humid day in the great southern outdoors. So, our first camper we bought and refurbished an older 1997 Jayco that was the hitch-up style RV and it slept up to four kids and two adults rather comfortably. That Jayco was tough, well built, still being quite on and off road travel worthy for most mountain areas or any beach front parks…That Jayco was or first real camper with all the modern conveniences such as a: shower, stove, kitchen, refrigerator, small bathroom, dinning room table, and a large, soft velveteen fold out couch. Our first Jayco camper was pretty much the bomb our little “Brady Bunch” absolutely loved it!Yesterday, we finished purchasing our second and probably the last luxury RV camper we will ever own and still be able to travel around in before we just get too darned old to go camping anymore and of course its another genuine Jayco but this time we really sprung for one of the premium line Northpoint “smart camper” with pretty much all the high-tech bells and whistles you could ever ask for short of putting your own house on wheels and trying to move it all around to any of the vaccination places you’d ever want to visit for a while? We bought our new top of the line Jayco RV at Camping World in Byron, GA and the excellent, professional and friendly “CW” staff made our major buying experience even more pleasurable. They got us into the camper we really wanted at the: best monthly payment, best banking interest loan rate, with the least amount of money down the we could reasonably afford to pay for such an high end luxury RV camper…Camping World is pro; Family, American, Patriotic, and all great outdoors recreation!Mr. Bob and Mr. Larry are top notch (former us veterans)and outdoor Camping/RV supplies experts not doubt, for sure these men will help you anyway they can with your new camper or camping supplies or even troubleshooting any camper/RV issues after normal stores if you ever need their help…The other two young fellows Matthew and Phillip at Camping World in Bryon, GA are great young men as well and they are learning their way around showing Camper’s and all the financial/purchasing ins and outs of the RV arena as well…Big Kudos to all the “CW” staff in Byron, GA they are great people who love what they do and Camping is their lives, they live eat sleep and breath everything about camping and the great outdoors!
Service department is completely pathetic. Jonathan Austin wont return calls EVER. Dropped my Motor coach off after lightning hit it destroying the microwave and the refrigerator.Camper has been there 13 months now waiting for parts supposedly. Dropped by a few months ago to see if they had sold it or were renting it out or what other possible hold up it could have and found a huge rats nest all around the converter and they had chewed up all of the wires. This is a freightliner/mercedes motorcoach and was immaculate when we dropped it off. My dad paid cash for this at the Camping World in St. Augustine! VERY VERY disappointed!FOLLOW UP!!FINALLY after 14 months of waiting we were told our Motorcoach was ready. Arrived to pick it up, batteries were dead so they jumped it off for us. Drove it home, plugged it up and literally NOTHING in the camper worked. Not wanting to be without the camper for an additional YEAR we called a camper specialist to inspect it. The converter was NOT EVEN HOOKED UP, the two main batteries that power the living quarters were worthless. The fridge was complete toast. On the print out from Camping world which was over $6000.00 was a bill for two batteries and a mother board for the fridge...... I cannot say ENOUGH bad things about this place! ALSO the gas connections were all disconnected!!! I guess they were hoping to kill someone!! I think its time to get the law involved with this one. NEVER take your camper here!!!!!!
Tony, Elizabeth & Mrs Terri made our purchase very smooth. Back shop Bob is very knowledgeable. Larry did a great job with the walk threw. Robert did a great job installing the washer and dryer. Least but not last is Myron from Byron. Had a couple issues with the unit , but he has jumped on those immediately. Hopefully the service after the sale will be the same. Thanks to all that helped make our new camper enjoyable.
We went in today to look for the perfect travel home for my family of nine, soon to be 10. The sales rep that took us on was Julius Jordan. He was awesome! Listened very well, took notes and paid attention. Then after listening to what we wanted, showed us some amazing campers. He was extremely patient with us and kept us calm as we progressed from trailer to trailer. He found one more that he wants to show us in the morning, but wanted to get it all set up. We are excited to get back to see what hes found for us!!
My experience with the service Team at Camping World of Macon exceeded my expectations. From the moment I dropped my camper off Megan kept me up to speed with details on my unit, and ensured that even two years later my part would be covered through warranty. Highly recommended :)
We recently had the pleasure of working with Chris, a representative of Camping World in Macon (Byron), Georgia. We met Chris when we were looking to buy a new/used motorhome. He was so helpful and went above and beyond. We highly recommend Chris if you are looking to buy a new or used camper.
I have to say this is the best buying experience I have ever had. We have been talking about buying a camper for several months. A few weeks ago we decided to stop in Camping World and just take a look at the different sizes and floor plans that were available. Matthew Hall gladly showed us around and shared his knowledge with us. We were not ready to buy that day and were not pushed at all to do so. Matthew sent us home with some information to research and discuss. We were able to decide exactly what size, floor plan, and price would work for our family. A few weeks later we walked back in the door and bought a camper. Matthew is kind and knowledgeable. There was absolutely no haggling and finance was a breeze. Jason made sure we knew how everything in the camper worked before we left. The entire staff is warm and friendly! If you are in the market for any kind of camper, go see Matthew at Camping World.
Bob Raley in product service at Camping World in Byron, GA saved the day for me and my husband today. We needed an electric hose because unexpectedly we were having way below freezing temperatures tonight in Tifton. So, we called greatly concerned and we were unable to get down the highway before they closed. Bob stayed 30 minutes after closing hours and waited until we could get there to pick up the item. Now that is customer service! Thank you Bob! 5 stars for sure! You are wonderful!
I had a wonderful experience at this camping world!! We pulled into an RV park and an essential piece had broken on our trailer, so I drove 45 minutes up to this store to hopefully find the piece. I arrived just after the store had closed and the employees were locking up. One of their employees, Bob, really went the extra mile for me. He opened the store back up and scoured the back room until he found the piece that I desperately needed. He was so kind and thoughtful.I have rarely found such compassion and dedication to customer service!! Way to go camping world!!
Just wanted to say a few words about the staff at Camping World Byron location. Everyone I came in contact with was kind and professional, they went above and beyond to accommodate us.It is rare that I encounter this type of customer service in this day and time. I left pleased and impressed!
The salesperson was very informative and professional. She reviewed with me my expectations and showed me those styles first. After she showed me the next level that still matches my expectations but has extra features. I will definitely be getting my camper from Camping World of Macon. Thanks Jess and we will be speaking again soon.
Had a small mishap in traffic. Stopped in with photos and their parts department people went above and beyond to get us the exact parts we needed! They even helped us install one of them! We were on our way again in less than an hour. Customer Service was top notch! Thank you so much again for all your help!
Our sales rep Philip was awesome. He was patient with all the running we did back and forth. He listened and was especially friendly. He has helped us in the past look even when we were just browsing. He is one of the main reasons we bought with camper world. I would highly recommend him to help you find what you need.
I’m currently purchasing a 2020 Winnebago Travato. Ashley, Sales Manager & Finance Team have been very responsive in answering all my detailed questions, return my calls…& making this process extremely easy for me since I live on the opposite side of the country. I look forward to flying into their area & driving off in the Travato to begin my adventure!
5+++ Stars! From the second we walked in the door the first time all the way until we pulled out of the parking lot in our brand new camper we felt welcomed, appreciated, and never pushed. Everybody we dealt with. Jennifer, Larry, and the finance guy I can’t remember his name. They were were all great people. They never once pushed anything on us or made us feel pressured which makes a huge difference on the buying process. I will buy our next camper from this place from here on out. Thanks for the super smooth transaction guys!!
On our way to Florida TT slide would only go half way out We needed our cables on our slide adjusted. They worked us in and did the job in less time they said it would take. And we were back on the road.My hat goes off to Scott, service manager, he understood our predicament.Good job.
I can’t not tell you how helpful Ashley was. She took so much time out to ensure she found the exact rv I was looking for. I’m older and needed someone who could take the pressure of the process. She did that and so much more. If you are in the market for an tv, go see Ashley. You will be more than pleased.
Ashley Youngblood ( no relation) helped us find the perfect camper at camping world. Even though its been about a year in progress, she did not give up on us. She listened to all our needs and made sure she found the best camper for our family! Enjoyed using a company like Camping world, but will definitely make sure I follow Ashley wherever she goes to handle all our camping needs!
This is a follow up review for after the purchase has been made: The customer service provided by Matthew before, during, and after purchase has been spectacular. There have been a couple hiccups along the way, but with each one Matthew has been there to ensure that the outcome is favorable to all. Thank you Matthew for ensuring that we are not only happy with purchase but also understand what all we are services we are paying for as well. This was our first time buying a new camper, and Julius Jordan was a spectacular representative for Camping World. He was very knowledgeable, patient with our children (3 kids 3 and under), and had an overall great personality. The process was smooth and everyone we encountered was great! We highly recommend this place.
Buyer beware, sold me something they could not deliver, gave down payment, run and approved credit, could not come through on deal talked to Matt who was to return my down payment, called on a Monday, told me a check could not be signed until Friday,I drove 2 hours to pick up refund to be told check was mailed, who knows if that is true. Unorganized place of business, if this is how people are treated before a sale, It must be hell after the sale. I WOULD NOT BUY A LUG NUT FOR A CAMPER FROM CAMPING WOULD, most horrible experience in my life buying something
My husband and I decided to start shopping for RV’s and our first and only stop was Camping World. Ashley Youngblood was super helpful and when we told her exactly what we were looking for she took us to view just those that she knew we were interested in! She has really gone above and beyond to help us find what we are looking for. Although we haven’t found that perfect one just yet, we are confident that Ashley will continue her search and keep us updated! Brandon was also very nice and called us right after we left the dealership to thank us for coming in and considering buying with them. Great experience overall!
From our purchase 4 years ago to the service department this last month our experience has been horrible. We blew a tire coming back from a trip and took it in for repair. Our camper stayed there for 3 months due to the lack of communication, follow up and the simple act of them getting the work done. I called multiple times and couldn’t seem to get any updates on progress made. I finally came to pick up the camper on Sunday and although online shows they are open, their service department wasn’t and they didn’t seem to have anyone that knew about our camper. I would encourage anyone looking to purchase a camper or needing repairs to use your money wisely and spend it elsewhere.
My friend Tom and I were heading to Florida, taking his 5th wheel toy hauler down for the winter going around Atlanta when someone pulled out in front of us. We had to do an emergency stop, thank goodness no one was injured. The toy hauler wasn’t as fortunate though we found when we could pull over to check it out. The stress of the panic stop and having to veer left to avoid the SUV caused the right rear leaf spring to fail, cracking all 4 leaves in half and causing stress fractures in the other springs as well. We called Camping World of Macon in Byron about a half hour before closing, I spoke with Scott and was told bring it over and we will take a look and see what we can do. When we arrived we spoke with Scott and then Bob, Bob came out looked at things and said they would have to get it in and verify what all was wrong but the right rear spring was cracked in half and we couldnt continue our journey as it was, so would need to be repaired. Scott said he would work us in first thing in the morning and see what was going on. Long story short, both Bob and Scott did an amazing job taking care of us. They kept us informed of progress, worked us in quickly and stayed on the job, even working past closing to get us back on the road again helping us meet our deadline, getting to our destination on time. The job turned into all springs needing replaced after they verified stress fractures in the others as well so we had them do the brakes also since the axles were going to be apart. I know service centers can get a bad reputation sometimes but I have only the highest praises for Bob, Scot, Brandi and team for going so far over and above in taking care of us in a professional and courteous manner. They were able to add humor and friendship to the process that also helped reduce the stress we we were under and ease the unexpected delay we had. Mr. Lemonis, I hope this makes its way into your hands as you couldn’t have a better team than the one in Byron GA!!! I will recommend Camping World and the Macon team as long as I own an RV! 5 stars isn’t a high enough rating!
I was just stopping by yesterday from Ocala Fl heading to Roberta GA to see my grandkids for Christmas. I wanted to look for a new fifth wheel to travel in and decided to see what Camping world had to offer, the service was great even though I didn’t buy anything. And truth be told, I wouldn’t buy anything from there for one specific reason. I witnessed to what my understanding was a manager completely disrespecting on of the employees in the sales area. The look on that young mans face was devastating. I didn’t like that one bit, I asked one of the cashiers who the man in the black shirt is, and the beautiful young lady says his name is Richard Coffee. I over heard Richard yelling and cursing at the young man for what seemed to be no apparent reason, trying to take his cell phone away from him, THEN telling him that he’s not allowed to talk to any other of the employees as he proceeds to close a glass window in the cubicle room. I asked the cashier why is he talking to the young man like that and she replied that it happens a lot, “To him?” I asked, shockingly she nods her head yes. It seems to me that the place doesn’t pick wise choices when hiring managers. So to wrap this up, you never know whose watching, treat people with the respect you expect in return. Absolutely no one stood up for the young man Rashad.
Thank you Brandi for your help yesterday. You did a thorough job going over my service request and walk around. I was happy with the work on two of my warranty items and the extra items I requested. Not as happy with the decal not being replaced on the exterior that was damaged when I took delivery. Also, the latch strike plate was not replaced and the screen door is still scrubbing. I will try to fix that issue myself. Again, thank you Brandi for your assistance.
Service was absolutely perfect, the young lady Megan that helped me was very professional and did not let me walk out without making sure my camper was fully taken care of. The info and knowledge the staff gave me saved me hundreds of dollars from making future mistakes. I highly recommend this location for all your RV/camper needs. Y’all get out there and and visit the Byron GA location. Mr. Bob is pro, he will make sure your taken care of and get you back on the road!
Jeremy our sales rep was awesome. He took us to look at almost every camper on lot. After hours of showing he showed me the perfect one! I was so undecided and he was as patient as he could be. Then the last ones that he showed me I could not pass up. Had the best outside kitchen I had ever seen! Suits me perfect! Thanks so much Jeremy and Camping World!
We are new to camping, so we just started looking. Our experience at Camping World was very helpful. Our sales associate, Hunter was so awesome and not a pushy salesman. I believe he is a fairly new employee and when we had a question, if he didnt know the answer he was quick to find out for us. I was impressed with his work ethics. Overall, I give Hunter and Camping World a thumbs up!
We have rented a class C and a trail behind RV before but have been interested in seeing what a fifth wheel and/or toy hauler have to offer. So we stopped into the Macon location on our way back home to Florida. We just stopped in to look and learn. Jeremy Campen helped us and he was great. He provided a wealth of information and help us in learning the differences of the different types and brands. We never felt pressured and he took the time to show us what value each model offered. I definitely recommend going to this location. We will be back when the time is right for us.
Camping World is definitely the place to go!!! They have met ALL of our needs and treated my husband and I with so much respect. It is truly nice knowing we are not just “another customer” to them.I cannot say thank you enough to Josh, Matthew, Bob & Larry. You guys have been SO so wonderful to work with!!!! We are so thankful! Now off to make memories in our new camper!!
We had a great experience working with Chris at Camping World in MaconGa. He was very pleasant and accommodating. I felt like he really wanted our business and was willing to work for a deal that we could all feel good about. We had a great experience with everyone that was involved in the transaction. I would definitely recommend them if you are in the market for a camper!!
I recently bought a new 2021 Forest River Alpha Wolf camping trailer at Camping World in Byron, GA. I’d like to pass on a special thank you to my salesman, Keith. Keith went above and beyond to ensure I got the camper I wanted even though it was located 3 hours away at a different Camping World. In fact the whole Camping World sales team (Paul, Larry and Pam) were outstanding. Thank you guys so much for getting me that special camper I was looking for. You guys are awesome! Thanks again Keith, you made the whole experience pleasant and I love my new Alpha Wolf trailer.
We went looking … didn’t expect to purchase a camper that day. Then we met Julius. He greeted us warmly and professionally. We spoke about what we were looking for, price etc…He then proceeded to work tirelessly to find us a camper that fit our needs and budget. He found one…and we purchased it…that very afternoon.Julius and the entire staff couldn’t have been more helpful… really taking the time to find us what we wanted. We wish we could do more that 5 stars, because it was beyond a 5 star experience.
We were truly impressed by the place by not only the broad scope of choices on Campers but the most impressed we became was with the customer service provided.I want to recognize the work of Phillip Treadwell. I made a short comment to him to give him proper recognition of his service.I said - you are a good salesman He responded - I am not a sales person, I am here to help The only reason I gave him a five ( 5 ) starts is that I dont have the choice for six ( 6 ).
Rashaan is by far best sales person you could contact at camper world. If you are looking for a good sales person look for him when you get there at camper world!! Sales side awesome.Service side not so awesome. I left camper world got a hitch from them that they were suppose to install. The camper swayed big time on the way home. My truck weighs 2k more than the camper only reason I was able to control most of it. Come to find out the hitch was not installed correctly and the person that was suppose to give me the walk around of the camper and everything has no idea what he was talking about. This is my first camper so it was all a learning process was for me. If you go to camper world ask them a million and one questions and triple check the hitch!!
Spent over $500 first trip in store yesterday, came back today to get propane tanks filled and a couple of other items ($30 without propane) - had to practically beg for one of the five sales people at back counter to get up and help me then they wouldnt fill propane because they said it was raining...it wasnt even SPRINKLING, MUCH LESS RAINING...it was wet from raining earlier but it wasnt raining AT ALL...IT WAS CLOSING TIME...hopefully, I can get a refund on that 3-yr Good Sams Club Membership...what a letdown after a really great experience yesterday!
I had a great experience at Camping World. The salesperson who helped me was Daniel Garner and he was incredibly knowledgeable as well as friendly and very patient in helping me find what I was looking for. Anyone who is looking to go by should ask for him specifically. Best customer service Ive gotten in a while.
Chris Canion was excellent at showing all the details to the travel trailer I wanted to purchase. I wasnt sure my truck would be able to handle the weight so he took the time and looked it up on the computer for me. The experience was enjoyable. He was knowledgeable about the different trailers and very patient with all my questions!!!
Jennifer (JD), Larry, Brandon, Paul, Bob, ALL great people! You read bad reviews and sometimes let these influence your decision to purchase from a company, we had a GREAT experience buying from Camping World, so let the good influence you... We researched, looked for months, thought we found what we wanted. We ended up with purchasing an East to West Alta with the help from JD. One we never even considered but she asked questions and pointed us in the right direction. It had everything we were looking for and more. Some really wonderful people here and a great buying experience! And FYI, the orientation fee was well worth it. Larry is extremely knowledgeable and helpful!
Our experience with our salesman was absolutely amazing. 5 stars isnt near enough stars to give our salesman. Rashaan Grove at Camping world of Macon is the best salesman that Ive ever had in my entire life. He made sure everything we wanted was done. He also checked in on us daily to make sure we had everything we needed to move forward with our purchase. He started out as our salesman but he ended as a great friend. And not to mention our little surprise gift on our pickup day was very thoughtful. So if youre looking to purchase a camper go see Rashaan Grove at Camping world of Macon. You definitely will not be disappointed.
Scott and the repair team did a great job for us. We needed 4 house batteries for our RV. They had to find and get the special batteries for our Tiffin. The batteries were ridiculously expensive...not their fault. But they were able to get them, install them, and get us back on the road in one overnight stay. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant and professional. We are grateful. Thank you 😊.
William Scdoris was very helpful and knowledgeable about the kind of camper we needed. We were not sure how much my husbands truck could pull and William looked up that information for us on his computer. Then he showed us campers that our truck could pull. He was not pushy at all and let us make all the calls.
Julius was so great to work with! Never once did we feel any pressure to pick a certain camper. He was patient with us as we narrowed down our choices, never making us feel rushed! I loved that he offered to walk us back and forth between our final choices (numerous times) to ensure we made the right decision! 10 out of 10 would recommend working with him!!
Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Jessi Meadows. She was so fun but also so professional. Her dedication to her A+ customer service was absolute. My family came away with so much knowledge and we will most definitely be repeat customers . People such as Jessi are a priceless asset to your company. Thank you to your staff but most of all thank you Jessi !!!!
Good selection of units and our salesman’s, Neil Wolf, was very knowledgeable about the units and went above and beyond to answer questions and meet our needs throughout the entire process. Paul, in management was reasonable about price negotiations and made the purchase process pleasant. Brandon in finance was a joy to work with. The hitch dept. answered all our questions and helped us select the right hitch for our needs. Mr. Larry did an exceptional job walking us through and training us on how to use and maintain our new camper. His pleasant personality and endless knowledge gave us confidence in using and enjoying our camper. Overall, the Camping World team was knowledgeable, service was always friendly and we will recommend them to family and friends. We now refer to them as “our” camping world team.
After a horrible start dealing with the service department this young lady Megan was assigned to me as the service advisor for my repair. She stayed in contact with me during the repair which was a pleasant surprise and then of all things she came in on her day off to make sure the repair was made properly and that I was happy . She single handedly saved a customer that was definitely done with Camping World !! I only give three stars because of the problems I had before Megan got involved. But after she got involved I give her 5 stars!!!
Went to at look campers. Found one we really liked. Scheduled an appointment to get it financed and picked up. They warned me it would take 4hrs. I was ok with that. What I was not ok with is that several things where misrepresented. Was there for for 8hrs, and $500 more then I was told. I ended hooking up my own camper and had to track someone to finish the install of the hitch system. Which I still had to fix once I got home.Positives - got a great deal. The loan officer really help us to be able to get what we wanted and in our budget.
We purchased a camper here and had a pretty good experience we are loving the camper thanks camping world! Also if you need work done on your camp I recommend a young man named Jake in the service department he helped me out and got done what I needed and quickly thanks Jake!
Good afternoon, I just read a lot of interesting reviews about camping world, especially Camping World of Macon. And I saw that none of them was negative and thats good but let me give my review thus far. I bought a 2021 RV its been in the shop 7 months of the eight months that Ive had it. Basically for warranty reasons. First of all I bought it in Dothan Alabama knowing that it had some small issues to be taking care of, but I live in Hampton Georgia so I decided to take it to Camping World of Buford Georgia because it was closer to my home. To make a long story short their service department was deplorable and they did basically nothing for three months. So I called Camping World of Macon, ask them if they had time to work on the trailer and the service guy there told me to bring it in 2 weeks as I did. As of this day its been about 3 months and some days there in Macon, they started doing the work on the trailer but I never was contacted about status. Three to four weeks that the trailer was there I begin to call and inquire, they kept telling me that they were waiting on parts and that was all right with me. But I asked to be updated and still nobody from service call me. Then when I call again and talked with the service guy that initially told me to bring it there he told me that if I didnt like the time that it was taking that I could pick my trailer up and that he didnt wreck the trailer anyway. So now I call management young lady in the warranty department begin to get things going for me, but I was still not getting any updates. So about 10 days ago I called and talk with the general manager who told me that she would have the service manager call me it hadnt happened yet! If someone has mr. Howards phone number or email address with Consumer Reports please send it to me.
Logan was so awesome! She was very informative and made sure we were picking the perfect camper for our family. Paul was extremely helpful with the loan process and pricing. I went to two other dealerships after leaving Camping World before we committed and came straight back bc the customer service showed me that we would always be taken care of. I’m going to refer all our friends there!
I purchased a Keystone Hideout from Camping World two weeks ago. The first thing that caught my attention was that I was put with a sales associate within 5 minutes... on a busy Saturday. Logan was my sales associate and she listened to everything we wanted out of our camper. She matched us with several choices and weighed pro’s and con’s of each. Everyone at Camping World from Logan to our team who showed us what we needed as newbies, they were all terrific. I will say, I wished there was more instruction and maybe a walk through on leveling, dumping tanks, etc. That was a fast orientation and I am still learning. The process of buying was easy and overall I am very satisfied with my experience. Logan gets the credit and she even called to check up on us on our first camping trip with the new camper. First class professionalism for sure.
Had an unexpected emergency with our motor home while traveling, and made it to the Byron Camping World. Naturally, their service department was fully booked, but Jonathan A., Service Advisor, offered to come out and just “take a look” to see if there might be a simple fix — no such luck. He then offered to try to free up one of his service techs to at least take a second look. Long story short, they were able to solve part of the issue, and help us get back on the road. We were beyond grateful for the accommodation they made for us under our specific circumstances. We have been Camping World members since 1997. Thank you so much for the exceptional service. Hats off to all who stepped up to help.
I had a good experience with camping world. Daniel was ever so helpful in showing us various campers while keeping in mind what our requirements were.He included both used and new products to show us and the benefits of each camper. He was great!Larry also was very good at giving all the info on how to use our camper! Kudos to both Daniel and Larry
Probably the least useful camper store and/or service location you can find. This location routinely posts pictures/features of a camper for sale, only for the customer to find the advertised camper lacking those amenities in person.AKA, the bait and switch.Their service department’s incompetence will leave your camper sitting for a week even if it had an appointment. Then they won’t even try to read the notes on what is wrong. They will flat out lie to you about trying to help with warranty claims. They can’t even keep their dump station in working order.Avoid this location at all costs. If you can find a better deal somewhere else do it.*update/Reply:I’ve contacted corporate in the past when Camping World of Macon failed to provide any customer service beyond empty offers to help. The same offers they failed to follow through on. Corporate has the backs of local offices. Any requests for additional help were dismissed as “below their level”.Thank you for the same empty generic reply given to nearly every single other negative review though.
Rashaan was so helpful and super informative ! Definitely see him when you go !! Listens to everything want. Also patient , let him know right off the bat we wouldn’t be purchasing that day but would be in a few months , didn’t want to waste his time and he was understanding and still helped us as if we were buying right then and there. Definitely 10/10
We were able to get an appointment in about two weeks to have some additional items (backup camera, different hitch, and slide toppers) added to our newly bought camper. Friendly check-in and reviewed exactly what we wanted to be done. They called to update us when they discovered camper was not prewired for backup camera as we had thought. We were able to get all the maintenance done in one day but took almost seven hours. Check out was a little chaotic, but they came out to show us everything and how the new hitch worked after we asked them to. Overall pleasant experience
Went in needing some parts for my 2021 camper I bought from this place. Parts guy was to busy to spend any time and let me ask questions I had. However everyone here was so nice and helpful when I purchased from here last year. Either hire more parts people or train the ones I saw sitting around to work in parts.
I give this place a 0. The guy behind the parts and service counter was so rude. Very smart mouth and condescending. The other two employees was laughing with him at me. Anyone with a horse trailer don’t bother going by they will not help you or want to service you. The one part I did pick up to buy I asked him how much he told me it cost 2 million dollars. And he would buy it himself and keep the rest. Just being a tail hole. The poorest service I have ever seen.
We first came into Camping World and had a lot of questions about what our truck could tow and what option would be best for our family. Angelica was extremely helpful and really knew her stuff. She showed us different options of what we asked for and even brought up other options that would fit our needs better. She even dealt with our super hyper 3yr old. Highly recommend going to Angelica for your camper needs.
I walked into Camping World of Macon looking for a quote or an idea of what my campers trade in value might be. Daniel is the gentleman who ended up assisting me and he was straight forward about everything he knew in regards to my Many questions. If he didnt know the answer to a question hed ask someone on his team who may know. He was great at sharing brochures and allowing me to see the different units on their lots. His follow up overall was good in asking if I needed anything or had any other questions. He also did his best to work the best deal he was able to get. I will likely return at a later time to inquire about trading my camper with them for something newer. Overall he and Camping World was easy to work with and knowledgeable. I appreciate the ease with which I could speak candidly with him and he did the same. Look forward to coming back.
I had a great experience with my purchase of my 2013 Freedom Elite 28z RV. The salesperson Justin was AWESOME.. He worked in everyway possible to get me the best motorhome and price. He is a the reason I made the purchase because at first I did not think I was READY.
Parts and Service were about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine. My Good Sam membership is due and I think Id be better served to find another business to assist me with my camper needs and forgo that membership renewal. Customer Service has never been Camping Worlds forte..In my experience.
I tried getting things started through communication online and by phone so that could get the tedious parts done and just look at a few RVs that meet our criteria, but was told to just come up there with my trade. We were told to make an appointment, but didnt (I really recommend doing it that way because you might not get much time to do anything).Once we finally got help and made an appointment the second trip there, things went a lot smoother and they did their best to get us into what we wanted with a more than fair offer for our trade ins.
We had a great experience with Camping World of Macon. We were met at the door Jennifer who walked us through the whole process. She showed us exactly what we were wanted and was never pushy. We settled on the model and then worked with the finance department to finalize the deal. They even rushed the prep and I was able to take the camper home that day. Our experience could not have been any better in making our purchase. While waiting on the camper prep, I shopped the store for supplies needed. The sales staff there were top notch and extremely helpful. Lastly, Camping World made sure they took the time to go through every feature on the camper so I would be prepared. They have all the bases covered and will be our go to camper dealer from now on.
They were so helpful when helping me purchase my new camper. They took the time to make sure I understood everything. They had the most amazing person haul my camper to my location (Eddie) He was very experienced and educated. He made me feel very comfortable with the whole experience. Even stayed after dropping off the camper to make sure I had no complications with the leveling system. He answered all of my questions. Such a pleasant man. I would highly recommend this camping world and most definitely Eddie for all your hauling needs.
Camping world was fantastic, especially Philip. He was perfect for showing me some of the stock, explaining tow weight differences, showing me what my truck could tow safely, and just being a generally great salesman. Never made me uncomfortable or wonder if he knew what he was talking about. The opposite of pushy. Don’t hesitate to shop here and don’t hesitate to ask for Philip.
Having shopped around at various locations, my wife and I were so happy to have found Camping World of Macon. From the sales agents (Katie Young is the tops) to the maintenance staff and all in between, they were awesome. We found a terrific product at a fair price! The experience overall was A plus and we will definitely go back when it’s time for an upgrade. We highly recommend this camping world location to anyone and have already done so to friends and family.
I just wanted to thank Daniel Garner for his extreme patience and awesome customer service skills during the entire process of shopping for a travel trailer. Unfortunately, my wife and I decided not to purchase a trailer for personal reason. However when I do return back to Camping World, I will ask for Daniel, he is a professional!
I absolutely love Camping World!!! It has been a very tough time during this pandemic. But Jennifer Davis was very understanding of my health and vulnerability she accommodated me in every way so that my dream of owning a camper could be realized. I am grateful and so very happy for the efficient service, the hard work, the abundant knowledge, and the cost effectiveness. I cannot say enough about Jennifer and the team at Camping World. I will definitely return for all my camping needs and if I choose to upgrade one day.. if you are looking for a camper do not hesitate to call Jennifer or visit Camping World of Byron Georgia you will not be disappointed... tell them Tamika Delice sent ya!!!!
We looked at hundreds of campers all over... and Keith is what brought us back to Camping World of Byron. His service was beyond comparable to others and he worked hard to earn our business. He took into consideration what we wanted and got to work on finding what fit us perfectly!
We purchased a new Keystone Outback from Camping World of Macon recently and from beginning to end, our experience could not have been better. Our salesman Tony, along with Paul in Finance, worked with us to get the best deal possible. George in Service was exceptional and worked with us getting the camper ready for us to take home and Larry did our walk-thru. Larry did an incredible job in showing us all of the features of our new camper. This is not our first camper, but he pointed out things that we had never known about campers in general. We cannot thank everyone enough for helping us purchase our dream travel trailer. We highly recommend Camping World of Macon to anyone looking to buy.
I was very pleased at the promptness and thoroughness of all the staff at Camping World, Macon. I had a 9am appointment and was promptly taken in at 9am with an estimated 2 hour work time. The finished product was delivered in two hours and after my inspection, I was completely satisfied. With no hesitation, if I need additional work from a Camping World in or around the Atlanta area, I will choose this store. Thankyou for your quality service.
I felt the deal offered was fair, the staff was great, Sales person was great. It was a 5 star experience until I got to the finance office for the final paper work where they tried to change the Trade in Allowance and add $1,600 to my cost. We had a signed deal, that everyone agreed too. I said no to the extra $1,600 and after going back and forth for a few minutes, they agreed to the original deal. I hope this is not common practice as many people might not be as firm in their position as I was.
I wouldnt even give this place 1 star. We brought our rv in to have a couple things fixed and we left with more damage than when we took it in and still spent $500 dollars in labor and all they did was rewire a brake light. These guys have no idea what theyre doing. They didnt turn our battery switch off and let it sit for 3 days and ran all of our batteries dead so when we went to pick it up, we had zero power and had to let it sit there another night to charge the batteries. On top of that, we have grease stains ALL OVER what use to be our cream/white carpet! And it just gets better, we have a dent and a scratch where they obviously hit something and didnt even bother telling us about it and we didnt notice it until we got it home. Horrible experience and will never take our rv back in that parking lot or do any kind of business with them. We are so upset. Going to call corporate but probably wont accomplish anything.
This place is so awesome. We are newbies to the camping world with a travel trailer. The staff here at Camper World of Macon is the best group of people to work with. Kudos to our sales rep Jennifer Warren - she is the best salesperson I have ever worked with, and thats quite a few at 65 years of age. She took my calls even the late night one on her personal cell phone, and everytime I had a question she had an answer. She made us feel like family so much that I even told her, Love you bye! after one call. LolLarry the man who gave us a class on the travel trailer was so patient with us and all our questions, he knows his stuff! I need his personal cell phone number if I have a question.Brandon in finance played a joke on me when I told him our first trip was going to be to Stephenville, Tx and he said yeah Tarleton right, I said yes the Cowboy Capital of the World. And then he gave me his business card.....His last name is Tarleton, we laughed.Katie in retail worked her fingers to the bone helping us in getting our supplies we needed from the store. Over all our experience at Camping World of Macon was EASY CHEESY LEMON SQUEEZY!!!!
We have heard a lot of negative about Camping World of Byron. We both have always said, we may ask advise about places of business, but we never let the opinions of others make our full decision. We went to several Camping Dealership’s and we came back to Camping World of Byron, Georgia. Just a note to other Dealerships. You don’t make a sale by putting another business down! At Camping World of Byron, My husband and I bought our very first Travel Traveler after looking a long 8 months. Our salesperson was Antoine and the Manager is Terri Reno. These two are awesome to work with. Our first Camper had some issues, but these two went above and beyond to make it right!! We now have a new Camper and we are looking forward to a lot of Family/Friend Camping and making wonderful memories!! If you are looking at buying an Camper of any style, give Camping World of Byron a try and ask for Antoine. You will be glad you did. He is awesome!! Also a shout out to their Tech, Jason who is also awesome and very knowledgeable and patient with you as you learn your Camper!!! They all made our experience a great one!! Thank you all for all you did!! God bless you all!!!
My husband and I are searching for a RV camper. We went to camping world in Byron Georgia last Saturday. Logan our sales representative was very helpful. She spent most of the day helping us look at campers and answering all of our questions. She was very knowledgeable, professionaland friendly.
I was impressed with the huge selection and friendly service at the Byron Camping World. I went in armed with a wish list of features I was looking for in a travel trailer and Keith Lindley cheerfully stuck to those parameters until we finally found the perfect fit for me. There was no high pressure and I felt like I was shopping with a (very well informed) trusted friend instead of a salesperson Id just met.
When we walked into camping world to see the manger about looking at campers. The manger gave us to Mack, and, when he listened to what we were looking for he knew just the right one to show us. When we told him what our budget was he and his managers bent over backwards to make sure that it fit our needs.Mack was wonderful, and, helpful in every way. If we ever decide to trade it in we will come to Mack first. Then when I called to get a update they tell me the bank has not approved yet. They did not explain the process clearly to me.I would not use camping world as my first choice because they are lires. The manger Brad is just as bad they try not to tell you the truth so you will buy from them. All they care about is making a sale ,and, their commision. They will run your credit into the ground from 700 to 642 that is not good business practice. They dont care about their customers. They ruined my husband credit rating. They told us one price per month, but,it ended up being a higher price. From all the stress it caused my husband to end up in the hospital having a stroke. Do not let this happen to you.
We are first time RV buyers so we needed someone who was very knowledgeable and had a high level of patience for being bombarded with a ton of questions. THANK GOODNESS we were fortunate enough to have Logan Stinson assigned to show us RV’s when we arrived. I told her my budget and what I was hoping to get with that budget and she showed me the perfect camper. Logan answered all my questions, even gave me information I didn’t know to ask about and helped me find supplies in the store I was needing. I would definitely buy from Camping World again because they have a good selection of campers, an in store service center, a knowledgeable staff who take their time with you to go over even the smallest of details and a RV supply store all on site. Logan Stinson made this purchase a very good and easy experience. Thank you Logan! We are loving our RV!
Today I worked with Julius. I’ve been to other rv sales locations and he has been the best hands down. He showed everything that a rv can offer, helped dial in to the perfect unit and sold me amazing customer service. If you’re in the market for a rv, new or used, just ask for Julius. He’s the GOAT.
I was optimistic at first wary of the common sales pitch’s. Got introduced to Victor and he took good care of me. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase and if you want to filter through gray area and are Interested in buying and not a Lookie loo go see Victor he will take care of you. Above and beyond; six stars. Other services industries and customer service could learn a thing or two.
Antoine, the salesman, was excellent! He was personable, knowledgeable, and willing to do whatever it took to get us the perfect camper. He wasn’t pushy and was so nice and easy to work with. Also, Elizabeth in finance was amazing and gave us confidence from the beginning that she would work a great deal for us. Thank you to you both for amazing customer service and satisfaction! I will send anyone I know to you both for their camping needs!
Josh, the salesman, really took care of me. It went down exactly as I thought and wanted. There wasnt a back and forth and let me talk to my manager. I told him what I wanted and he made it happen! Then once the sale was completed he went out of the way to make sure we were taken care of. After the sale, Larry and Bob made sure we knew how to operate and had the necessary equipment. Even afterwards, I needed something and called Bob in parts and he had it waiting for me by the time I got up there.
Really great experience! I have and would again recommend Camping World to any and everyone. The salesman I dealt with, Antoine Burgess, was fantastic. He listened to everything I was looking for and didnt try to push me to buy the bigger or more expensive options than what I wanted, which I highly appreciated and is one of the top reasons I would go back again. Everyone I dealt with in my time at Camping World was extremely friendly, from my great salesman Antoine, to the expert-on-all-things-camper, Mr. Larry Greene, and the parts guy, Bob, who was 90 to nothing and completely hilarious. The delivery guy, Mr. George, got it to me exactly when he said he would and wrapped up the whole thing nicely. There were even more employees who helped along the way and each of them was great to have dealt with. Again, I would highly recommend the Camping World of Macon!
Looked at several options & found one we fell in love with. Manager didnt see how they could use one of their lenders, but was promised a call back first thing the next day. Told the salesman & the manager that we had cash in the bank to cover the cost of the entire unit, if financing wasnt an option. Callback never happened. Went to my bank & secured a loan for the camper we had seen. Called to talk to salesman & let him know that we had the funds @ 3 P.M. the very next day after our initial visit which was at end of the business day. Was told by the sales manager that the camper had been sold out from under us. Very unprofessional & unethical. Will never do business with camping world again. Went to locally based competitor & paid cash for a brand new camper.
The sales staff and service department gave us a very positive experience when choosing an RV.The sales team answered our questions and the communication was clear about the details of operating the RV. I highly recommend to any serious purchaser to stop in and look around. The staff will treat you with respect and assist you in finding exactly what you need.
Everyone was friendly and courteous. Being 1st time buyers it took us a while, but we had an awesome sales person. Katie worked with us till we found the camper that fit all our expectations. It was fun having someone with a personality like hers to to help us out. For my wife and I it was a great experince
Staff was very friendly. However, the cost of replacing the toilet valve was astronomical, $307. Have had this done by an independent shop for $125. They charged $69 diagnostic fee despite the fact I told them the valve needed replacing. Then, another $139 for 1 hour of labor for a $30 part & $35 for shop items. I understand & am okay with the minimum shop rate which was posted but, adding the diagnostic fee was ridiculous given the repair toll a 1/2 hour. Camping World has a bad reputation & this is one reason why. When I showed my Good Sam club, they dropped the labor by $10 but didn’t discount the cost of the valve or shop parts they used. Moral of the story: either don’t use Camping World or just get the entire toilet replaced for the same cost
I want to share my opinion on there way of treating there employees. They LIE to you to get you in the door, but when it comes down to it they have you work 48 hours a week but you get paid about 4 dollars a hour. If you are looking for work dont work here. Unless you want to live with your mom the rest of your life cause you cant afford anything else.
Antoine was friendly and helpful from the moment we met him. Never pushy and allowed us to take all the time we needed. Everyone on set was top notch. The financial aspect was easy and informative. It was our first camper trailer purchase and Russell did a fantastic job with the walk through. He showed us everything, explaining as he went and answered all our questions patiently. The general manager made sure everything was satisfactory before we left. When we arrived at our site that afternoon and discovered a broken piece on the door I contacted Antoine and he immediately took charge and requested a new piece. We have recommended camping world to all our friends.
My family and I were very pleased with our visit. Our salesman, Antoine Burgess, greeted us upon arrival. He was phenomenal! He was very understanding, kind, and knowledgeable about the inventory. He didnt try to lure us into purchasing anything. He was attentive to our needs and is by far the absolute best salesman weve ever encountered! Camping World has a 5-star guy!
I was traveling to Florida for a quick vacation when the radio in my RV stop working. I pulled into Camping World. I met with George in the Service Dept. and presented the issue. He very quickly got a Service Tech on it. The problem was not something that Camping World could fix. No pressure to purchase anything that I didn’t need. I appreciated the professionalism and courtesy both George and the Service Tech showed.
Had a mechanical emergency while traveling. The service manager (George) and the technicians were helpful and understood the jam I was in. Although the part had to be ordered and shipped from the manufacturer, they fixed it as quickly as possible. They did a great job. Thanks again!
Jennifer Davis went above and beyond to accommodate us in our camper search. She took the time to explain to us everything she knew regarding the new options available. When she did not know she was quick to find out and report back. Though we did not end up purchasing, we will most definitely be contacting Jennifer when the time is right for us.
We were only there to look and price at the moment. r salesman that showed us around was a young guy named Chris and he was great to deal with. Even when we went to leave and he brought his manager out we thought we were about to get timed shared but wait theres more but he didnt everyone was polite and currtiouse and we didnt feel pressured at all. so after shopping around we may possibly be back in to buy our first rv
Service Manager Bob was awesome!!!!! Our refrigerator went out on a Saturday. Within a 1 1/2 he said he was able to install a new one. The tech did such a great job and was able to modify our wood panels to fit on the new one and it looks so nice. Bob went above and beyond, even finding us a nice campground nearby as it was late in the day. Would definitely go to the Byron Ga Camping World again when needing any repairs done, have not found that at the locations in Florida. All the other staff we dealt with were so helpful and friendly to us and other customers. Thank you! Nowadays great customer service can be hard to find.
If I could leave no stars I would. We live an hour away, and have driven to this location at least 10 times returning without or rv. We have driven up there about 30 times now. They have had my rv more than I have in the last three years. This last trip I dropped off my fifth wheel Thanksgiving 2020, they are supposed to be correcting things that they didn’t correct at prior visits. I contemplated not putting a review since they still have my rv. However, they called us to tell us we could pick it up and when we got there there were mouse droppings everywhere, there are wear marks on the new couch that were not there before, it looks like the slides are still leaking water because there were brown watermarks where the slides opened, and our generator wouldn’t start. I was told that the mouse problem wasn’t there’s to correct, the couch is normal wear and tear and the generator just needs new gas! Lip service and excuses is all we get when something goes wrong. We were told yet again to leave it and they would call us back with an update. Well, we are a week and a half out and still no call. They made the sell and could care less about our rv now. Their service dept is too backed up and overloaded for them to really care about anyone, they are just trying not to drown. I have a three page list of issues I have had with this service dept and all they want is for us to go away. Well, fix rv right and you will never see me again!!!
Daniel did a 5 star job in assisting myself, wife and mother in law in the purchase of our new Keystone Montana High Country 5th wheel. I would recommend Daniel & crew for all your camping needs. They addressed all our concerns and even pointed out some manufacturing issues and was proactive in ordering necessary parts. Great 👍 people!
I made an appointment to take my camper in for AC service. March 22, 2021, 9 am. We arrived at the appointed time and left. After 6 phone calls and 2 promises of a return call, I have picked up my camper today, May 4, 2021 and the work was NEVER done. Always some lame excuse about being next in line with the tech or big job ahead of me.....I called them yesterday and got the same excuses so I told them to have it ready this morning as I was going to pick it up. They gave me the key, told me it was parked outside.....never a “I’m sorry, we didn’t get the work done” or “what can we do to make this right”.... they apparently don’t care!! I expect when I go somewhere, anywhere, for an appointment, I’m going to get things taken care of. Not so with this bunch! NEVER go here for service on your camper!
Paul and Tony were a fantastic team. They had my favorites picked out and drove me around on a golf cart to see them. They answered all my questions about each unit. It is overwhelming the number of units there and it really helped to have those guys to help me find the one I wanted to see. Great job guys!!
We purchased our very first travel trailer this week from Camping World. Our sales rep Paul was OUTSTANDING. When others might have given up he stuck there with us! Myron the manager was also awesome and the finance guy (cant remember his name) was phenomenal! I cant say enough good things about everyone we encountered while there. Couldnt be happier and we will be back when we decide to upgrade! They made our dream come true and we are camping this weekend!
Everything was great, the salesman Javoris did an excellent job from start to finish. Everybody was very nice and treated us great. Larry is very knowledgeable and did a very thorough walk through with the camper we purchased and made sure we didnt have any questions unanswered before we left. Hats off to the mechanics for getting my lock off my hitch (I forgot my key) and installing our sway bars and hitch on my truck. Just a great experience and I would highly recommend them for your camping needs.

2022-05-14After buying our 2022 heartland pioneer bh270 for $41,000 we had it delivered and noticed the roof coming up in the front corner. They sent someone out with lap sealant and a screw and I had to get up on the roof and do it myself. Remember brand new camper. A few weeks later the water pump valve messes up and I have to buy another water pump on Amazon for $65. I reached out to camping world and heartland. This was January it’s May and I’m still waiting for camping world to send me a check for the $65 dollars. Rich at camping world in Byron insured me a check was on the way. I still haven’t received a check. Rich. The spare tire holder was stripped out and loose I had to replace that as well. The plastic studs holding the shower together are breaking 1 at a time. I paid for the rate for the higher insurance and customer support like road side and Mobil mechanic. They said I was out of the area for the Mobil mechanic. This being said after 4 months of owning a heartland pioneer bh270 from camping world in Byron Georgia we are trading our camping in now for a better name and fifth wheel. I reach out weekly to heartland about camping world in Byron Georgia and With my issues. The manager at camping world in Byron Georgia said he would send me a $65 check for my water pump. Rich hasn’t reached out to me yet.

2022-02-19Staff was helpful and attempted to answer all questions, super friendly manager recommended Georgia Bobs (Great Ribs). Our salesman wasnt pushy and was overall very helpful; however, when asked about sales prices he continually would say only the first numbers of the thousand dollar price. For example, we were told the price of a trailer was 21 thousand but that really meant 21,995, thats a $995 dollar frustration when seeing that on paper versus verbal communication. Overall happy with experience.

2022-02-21Ashley was our saleswoman and she was amazing! My husband and I came in there with an idea of what we wanted. Ashley sat down with us, took notes, and really got to understand our needs. Her and the whole team were super personable and we didn’t feel rushed or any pressure to buy. Truly an amazing experience and we can’t recommend them enough! Looking forward to learning about our new camper from Larry!

2022-02-10Jennifer and Ashley my sales people were super helpful, answered all my questions and patient. I did multiple visits looking for just the right camper. No pressure to buy. George helped get me the best deal. Except for a few hiccups trying to finish with financing, which really stemmed from miscommunication on my part. Matthew got it all straightened out and good to go. The walk through guy(so wish i remembered his name) went over everything we noted, he caught stuff we missed and addressed it as well. Everyone was professional and polite. We have bought multiple campers from Camping World in Byron, GA and would not hesitate to recommend to our family and friends.

2022-06-24I purchased a used Casita travel trailer from Camping World of Macon and even traveled from Las Vegas to pick it up. They had the exact model I was looking for and I was happy to make the trip to get it. The trailer was just as they described and in good condition, so I was pleased with it.I ran into some difficulty with the sales department regarding the correct documentation needed for me to register the trailer in Nevada. Even after four hours of waiting in the sales office, the paperwork still wasnt done correctly before I left the dealership.Having never purchased a trailer in another state before, I wasnt aware of this until I was contacted by the office manager, Melissa. By this time I had returned to Las Vegas without the clean title to register my trailer. I was rather frustrated after all the time spent there and voiced my anger to Melissa. She was by far the most helpful person I encountered at Camping World of Macon. She promptly corrected my documentation woes and FedExd my trailer title to me in two days. She even followed up to make sure I received it. Now I can enjoy the trailer I drove across eight states (and back) to purchase!

2022-02-09We needed an annual inspection on our travel trailer. Camping World was great. Also best price for an inspection that I found! They got us an appointment right away. We got in and out with no problems and they even introduced us to the Good Sam membership that saved us money that day and in the future.

2022-02-19My adult son and I crafted a fabulous plan for him to live in a camper close to his school and airport, in an attempt to free up his over an hour commute. He is in his last few months of aviation training and needs as much flexibility as possible with his schedule for this final push.We showed up spontaneously at Camping world, met Brianna and she blew our mind at how helpful she was! She asked us all the right questions and provided us with a well put together approach to camper shopping. Not only was she an enjoyable person, we received a solid education on all the differences we need to look for in a camper. We had a very very good experience with Brianna, we for sure will be back! Thank you Brianna and Camping world!

2022-01-20Neil was an informative sales associate who took the time to understand my needs and provide solutions. Matt helped work out the closing details and Larry taught me how my new RV worked. Grateful for a team that made this experience easier to navigate. Off to my new adventures 😁

2022-02-25I have bought 2 campers from this company since 2019. Chris and Terri were great on getting me the deal I wanted. The service team Scott and Brandy did a great job solving a problem with my ladder. Due to supply chain issues with the Manufacturer, Scott had his service technician modify a stock ladder and he did a great job. If you need a travel trailer, 5th wheel or Motorized RV this the place shop first!

2022-02-11My wife and I went looking for a camper at Camping World and luckily hooked up with Julius Jordan, Camping World Salesman Extradonaire. Mr. Jordan spent most of his day listening to our wants and needs then finding particular campers for us to see. He not only answered our questions but added his own insight to various aspects of each camper. Not surprisingly, we found one that met our needs in no small part to Mr. Jordan and his unlimited patience and knowledge. If we ever need to upgrade, we will seek out Mr. Jordan for help.
