Clean Hotel!!!The Suite we stayed in had kitchenette with full size refrigerator !There was no issues at all with my stay.Staff was polite and helpful.Location is near local eateries.Laundry is Free ! Just need to bring your own laundry detergent.Only downfall was pool was closed the entire week we were there.Otherwise 5 stars
This hotel was very nice from the minute i walked in! our room was very nice and spacious! full kitchen with pots, pans, dishes, etc! the beds were pretty comfortable, bathroom was a good size with great lighting and nice water pressure! we stayed on the first floor which was nice! very quiet and just a great atmosphere.
The staff were exceptional, professional and helpful fixing my reservation (I shorted our stay by a day) and making our stay wonderful with recommendations for stores, directions and places to eat. We couldnt of asked for nicer people. We enjoyed our stay in Columbus and felt very safe at this hotel.
I found the staff very nice, especially Mary, who I stopped and asked several questions. She really wanted to help and I enjoyed speaking to her. The room was great and the location was prefect for my stay and activities. My only complaint would be that they replace the shower curtain that is torn at the top, and is about to no longer be up. I can totally see how this would be miss, as you cant tell until you are in the shower and the shower gel and shampoo were out.
Not a pleasant experience...first, we asked for a first floor room...we were given the very last room at the end of the hall on the third floor! second, we had our pet with us, the dog walk area is next to the awful green swimming pool with so many mosquitoes, you couldnt stay out there to walk your dog! third, our AC panel and system didnt work. You couldnt see what it was set on. Our room was hot when we checked in and we asked the front desk to please check it. Well they sent the young lady from the front desk to fix it!!! Not maintenance! She brought new batteries, but that was not the problem! Needless to say, the room temp could not be regulated. To her credit she did offer to move us, but we had already unpacked and were ready for bed after a full day of travel...There are lots of hotels in the area, so we will try a different one if we are back that way!!!!!We have had pleasant experiences with other Candlewoods so we had hoped for one here...disappointed.
We stayed for three days and we had a great experience. We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. The room was up to date and nice. We even brought our fire stick and was able to hook it up to the TV. The internet worked great with it. We cooked big meals no problem. The bathroom was nice, the shower was not spotless but still clean.
Love the fact we feel like we are at the next best thing to being home. Having our fur babies with us is awesome. We can do our laundry, buy essentials if need be and take a nice walk with our fur babies. They have very cozy beds and bedding. The small kitchen and refrigerator is a nice added touch to our stay.
This is such a nice hotel, and the staff is wonderful! Especially Crystal! Crystal was kind and courteous from the time I got there until my check-out day.I was there for business, and I only stayed a few days _ but I am so grateful to have been accommodated. Thanks to the entire team.Also, the rooms are clean, spacious, surprisingly quiet (the walls are well-insulated), and the hotel was updated. Very pleased with my overall experience. They also have free laundry services, which came in handy for my trip.
We have been staying at this hotel for years and this is by far the worst experience my husband and I ever had. We had a death in the family and were incredibly stressed out. We came to the one hotel we trusted and that always gave us great service. The manager not only made my Aunt jump through hoops when she tried to assist us in paying for the room, ( we have been here a month) but ended up charging us regardless. Our Aunt had come in TWICE to give them her credit card information and they “apparently” had no record of it. The only bright spot in the entire experience was Faith, a wonderful and understanding employee who tried to make an already hard time better. Needless to say, I will NEVER stay there again and will warn others away as well. Thank you Faith for being awesome!
Ms. Nicole and Ms. Faith were fantastic! Not only did they fix my blunder on my reservation ( I shorted our stay by a day), but they were helpful with directions, places to eat and shop. You are only about 15 min from Ft Bennings main gate, close to lots of shopping and and places to eat. Rooms were clean and comfortable and I felt safe as well, All staff were lovely here!
My family and I had a good one week stay at this hotel. It was in a great location and in close proximity to a variety of restaurants and shopping. It was also very quiet which was great. We loved the pool and went swimming every day. It was the perfect temperature! The kitchenette was very convenient for making quick easy things. Beds were pretty comfortable but we had to put in a request for housekeeping to come and clean/change bed sheets. The one thing I wish they offered is a complimentary breakfast.
Liked the layout of the room; spacious and had a nice kitchen area. The beds were comfortable and the place was nice and quiet at night. Room temperature was good too. The staff was super friendly and accomodating. Would have liked better hot water for showers and baths. Also, the tub stopper was missing, so I asked a manager about it, and she found one that worked in a pinch. The elevator wasnt always clean. Overall, I liked our stay and would stay there again. Thank you for your warm hospitality.
My room was dirty. There were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher. I though a bug was on the floor, but it was fake eyelashes left from the previous guest. Hair that wasn’t mine was on the bathroom floor. Several people were in the lobby without masks on. My military rate was not honored and the receptionist that took my call made the comment of “oh, ok” when I stated I would attempt to solve the room rate issue on my own. This is my 2nd time staying at this location and both times my room was not as clean as it should have been.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, it was clean and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and polite. I was greeted every time that I left or came back in. The young lady at the front desk was pleasant and very helpful. Overall I was extremely impressed and happy with the quality of the hotel.
Friendly staff. Great room, mainly because the frame of the bed was sealed so my cat could not crawl over/up/in to it where I couldnt get to him. My cat needs insulin shots twice a day, and its imperative I be able to get to him in case he has a big glucose swing and needs medical attention.
Hotel great for price! One staff was extremely rude and treated my 11 y/o daughter poorly also. I hope he is addressed by management. Bed was super comfortable! I did find black curly hairs in my sink after we had been gone all day. My daughter and I have long blonde hair. This led me to believe someone was in our room after we were told room service would not be in at all and if we needed new linens we would need to come get them at front desk. Overall a decent stay especially for price.
Great hotel in a great area. Staff was friendly all the time from check in to check out. Room was big and very clean. Had a place for snacks and drinks. Had computers accessible. Had a nice place for my dog. My room key went out a few times and they fixed it no problem. Gym was nice. Free washer and dryer which was very nice. They let us check out a few days early and didn’t charge us for the extra nights since we got a place to live. Overall great hotel and stay. If you’re in Columbus I recommend you stay at Candlewood on Whittlesey.
I have stayed at this location multiple time very clean facility, the staff is amazing and had no difficulty extending or making changes to reservations. My light went out in my room and the staff was able to have it repaired within an hour. The location is in a safe area with access to all the shopping you could want right outside the hotel. The hotel has a verity of amenities including a gym, laundry and a cupboard were you can purchase snacks and hygiene items without having to travel outside the hotel. Would recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Columbus area.
I had an overall pleasant experience at this hotel. The room was comfortable and everything looked new. The room was almost spotless (few minor things). The bed was extremely comfortable and the hotel was quiet so we slept well. We stayed in a 1bedroom king suite. There was room for my two year old to play in the suite. General manager was extremely accommodating she was actually the first person to greet me as I checked in and worked with us when I inquired about extending my departure time. The only issue we had was our DVD player wasn’t working and when we reported it, there was no resolution but overall the stay was nice and we were very comfortable. I Would stay here again.
We had a very pleasant stay. The beds and pillows are very comfortable but towels are rough. Even the 4 year old complained about the rough towels. Lol The kitchen was everything we needed. Guest services staff was friendly and efficient. Cybil at front desk is very nice and informed me that this is more of an extended stay so no daily room cleaning unless requested. That was good to know upfront. The service and accommodations were of great value. I definitely recommend this hotel.
My room was arrange very neatly and my the room was very clean. The front desk staff was awesome and welcome us with a friendly smile and was concern about our arrival in town. Offered/suggestion places to eat and make sure we understood about the security. Thank you for your time, services and support. I had a great stay.
Surprised at how dirty and run down the room was. Wall had paint patches on it, dishwasher was full of DIRTY dishes, toilet seat was broken, no hot water in bathroom faucet, shower curtain was all torn, bathroom door was filthy...... Have stayed at other Candlewood Hotels and they were nothing like this one. Was extremely disappointed. Pool was closed but they never mentioned that during registration. Tried to get reservation at other hotel but everything in area was booked due to graduations.
From the build quality of the room, the amenities in the room, and location; this place is great. The room was cleaner then I could have hoped for, the bathroom looks very upscale with a tile shower. The kitchen area comes full of plates, knives, forks, paper towels, and much more. I stayed here for a week at only $78 a night, and I would have gladly paid more for this room. No complains here, this place is great! I feel like I’m still at home, I was able to cook a steak and potato dinner using only what was provided
WOW!! What a great staff. The young lady that checked us in was amazing. The room was great clean and even had a kitchen in it. Was able to make my son a home cooked meal. It was so hot that the pool was a must every day. One thing I was not use to was being spoke to by each of the staff every time you saw one they always spoke and they always had a smile. I will definitely be back
The hotel seems well used and could use some updating. New carpet in the hallways for example. I’m not sure my room was vacuumed- I noticed housekeeping using a broom in my room when I went back to retrieve something I had left there.the burner did not get hot enough to cool anything so thank goodness there was a microwave! The staff was friendly. The beds were comfortable. The location was convenient and the price was better than other hotels I the area.
Could not have been more accommodating! Entire staff helped me with making my stay extremely comfortable and relaxed. I had some special requests and they were all very “can do” minded. I can’t remember the last time a hotel staff was so dynamic. I observed their interactions with other guests as well. They are truly an asset to their Brand Name. I would easily recommend this Hotel to anyone needing a stay in the Columbus area.Thank you all Candlewood Staffers..
On my first morning, i realized the toaster was broken. I stopped at the desk and asked that a working toaster be put in my room. When i returned in the evening i asked at the front desk if they had switched it out, i was told yes. The next morning, i realized it was still broken. I took the toaster to the front desk and left it ..AGAIN requesting a working toaster. When i returned to the room in the evening...no toaster. By now, i was loosing patience. AGAIN, i went to the front desk and CYNTHIA was able to help me. She retrieved a toaster from an un occupied room and solved my problem. I so appreciate that she went the extra mile to help me. I wonder why the day crew failed to provide any help.
The hotel was a great price due to the govt rate and where it was located. We stay on the 2nd floor, and booked a King room. That room included one king bed, one recliner, a long desk with a rolling chair, and a kitchen with pots, pans, silverware, and cups available. The restroom was cleanly as well, but I wish there was a plunger available b/c the toilet is not very strong and easily backed up. The bed was comfortable. I wish there were do not disturb door hangers available. At 8 am in the morning I could hear hotel room service knocking on the door and saying room service so guest will not be disturbed. Check went swift and smooth, and check out went the same as well. I would reserve a room at this location again.
The staff here is childish and bratty love children. There is not one business trained personnel on this staff. The dishes were dirty on arrival. The laundry room filthy with sour rotting water. Machines that didnt function at all. Dirty clothes leftovers and jewelry remained in room from prior guests. When made staff aware was laughed at. This location is pathetic.
I am a frequent business traveler & was basically shut down; as with many others during this pandemic. I live in a large urban area that was inundated with virus cases, so I did not feel comfortable going back there. I decided to go be near my family, but being prudent & with an abundance of caution, I choose to self isolate in an extended stay hotel for several weeks. The general manager of this IHG property was SO accommodating for me & has been incredibly helpful throughout my entire stay. Im eternally grateful! Id like to add that even outside the incredible service I have received, the property & the room is on par with some of the best hotels Ive ever stayed at. I highly recommend this property!
My overall stay was perfect. The staff member that greeted me and checked me into my room was very polite and professional. He told me about the amenities and other features the hotel provided. My room was way more than what I expected. It was so spacious, it was like a mini condo. The room was clean. The bed slept comfortably. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
These suites were perfect for a quick stay and I will definitely be coming back to candlewood suites. The staff was great, the place was very clean and they were taking the right precautions for COVID 19. The price was right around my budget also and I’m not one to spend hundreds a night ha!
I had a great overall stay...staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish they offered breakfast instead of the cupboard. Beds were comfortable and overall appearance of the room was good. I do believe the cost should be lowered for this location. Its older compared to other hotels in its price range. I would stay again though.
My wife, son, and I was treated great by the staff every day we were there. We didnt want to leave on our last day. This place was our home away from home. This is the place you want to stay at for the space, its quiet, and close to everything. Thank you so much for making us feel at home.
We went on line, found a room, was able to use our points for a very nice room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon arrival the desk person was nice and helpful. The room was large and clean. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. Maybe it was the neighborhood or something but there were a lot of people hanging around the parking lot having fun and drinking beer which made me have to watch out for my family and small children a little more but there was no problems. It just seemed a little sketchy. Maybe the guess could use a picnic table around back somewhere. But all in all , I would stay here again.
Checking-in and staff was friendly and professional.The hotel experienced a major Plumbing problem doing my multiple nights stay. There was no hot water. At least I had a stove in my Suite to warm some water . I contacted IHG and they were trying to resolve the issue. The night staff were belittling of my complaint and did not address the issue with me, instead hung up.
This is a nice hotel in a great location. Overall, I was pleased with the stay. However, there were a few disappointments that I hope they can easily correct. When we arrived, we had to sit in the lobby for 20 minutes before we could check in because the front desk person locked herself out of the computer. It was 12:30 at night, I was tired and ready for my room. The offer made was for a complimentary snack from the supply that you would normally pay for. Nice gesture, but it was 12:30 at night after a long day of delayed flights. Second, the internet service did not work the entire stay. Big disappointment as I was traveling with my teenage son who is always on his phone. Wifi would have been great! Last but not least, I reserved a room with 2 queen beds. As I arrived in my room, I had one king size bed. I did not want to sleep with my teenage son which is why I requested 2 queens. Back down to the lobby I go only to find out that there were no other rooms available. It ended up being ok because the couch was a pullout. However, there was not a stitch of extra linen in the room anywhere. At this point, it was 1:00 AM, so I pulled the blanket off the king bed and requested linen in the morning for my son. The staff was very friendly and accommodating during the stay. The hotel was nice. The bed was awesome. The shower was nice as well. I would stay there again. Hopefully the room I request would be available and the internet will work the next time.
Staff was friendly and nice. Overall looks of the hotel was good. Upon closer look you notice that the hallway carpets are in bad condition with a lot of stains and what appears to be bleached spots. Our room was short linens but were replaced promptly. Smoke detector was bad and took 3 times to get it fixed. Like the location in Columbus Park Crossings as it’s convenient for doing whatever you need. The rooms are nice but could use more outlets especially those by the bed. They need to be 2 gang and higher up on the wall. A good 3 night stay for our final days in Columbus.
We stayed here for a 3 day weekend to visit family and it was a great hotel ! Everyone was very friendly and explained everything when we checked in ... You do have to take your towels to the front desk and swap them out for clean ones but they are very nice and fast about getting you clean ones in return. The room was big and spacious. Everything was clean and brand new looking !! The fridge and microwave was full sized !! We were so happy there that we stayed an extra night ... We will stay there from now on when we return on future trips to see my in laws. Nothing at all to complain about. Great price and very clean !!
The rooms were spacious and family centered. It had the appearance of an apartment. There was adequate sleeping accommodations and entertainment. The kitchen had a nice full size refrigerator. There was also a stove range for cooking or heating food. There was also a very nice area for sitting and eating in the kitchen.
Would recommend without hestitation. The motel was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again when visiting Columbus. Also, the location is perfect as it is in the newest section of town and very close to the best restaurants and shopping.
This hotel exceeded our expectations and was a great value. The hotel is pet friendly, and this means what it says. Our little friend enjoyed her stay here as much as we did. The staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. We truly felt like we had a home during our stay. At the end of each day of visiting, shopping, dining with family and friends, it was always great to come home to our suite at Candlewood. We highly recommend this hotel as one of the best values we have experienced.
The room was clean and comfortable and close to a ton of restaurants and stores. The amenities in the room were nice, including the toiletries. The only issue we had was that during booking we spoke with someone who gave us a lower, incorrect rate and told us we would be able to leave earlier than our booking any time, as we were Hurricane Michael evacuees and would want to return home to Panama City as soon as theyd let us back in to check on family and our home. When it came time for us to check out we were told we would be charged for the extra night since it was after noon. This was later fixed by the manager, Anthony, who almost immediately after I got off the phone with him called their GM to approve a refund for the second night. Overall, we had a great stay and would stay here again if in Columbus.
I stayed at this hotel a few months ago and my experience was excellent. It did not disappoint me this time either! The staff remembered me. The rooms are great. Having a mini kitchen in the room with a regular-sized refrigerator and microwave oven make a difference, not to mention that they provide everything one needs to cook there, for those like me who love to cook! I have recommended the hotel to family and friends and will definitely stay there again next time I am in the area.Keep up the excellent work! And Anthony, I hope to see you again next time!
I attended a wedding and this hotel was booked by the bride and groom. Initially, they went to another hotel but changed to Candlewood after realizing the customer service was not up to par. I am so glad they made the decision and changed our reservations. Nicole and the staff made our stay wonderful and we enjoyed every minute. The rooms were clean, contemporary furnishings, spacious and great shower water pressure. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Staff was polite and very helpful. Rooms was very comfortable and spacious. Mostly quiet, and the kitchen was convenient. The TVs not having access to netflix/hulu/any other streaming service was a let down. The hdmi was also very difficult to access to plug in my own. The internet was also a little slow. Still minor complaints compared to the quality of the room.
We only stopped for one evening on the way home to Florida and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. Everything was wonderful, it’s clean, the front desk staff was very friendly, beds were very comfortable. We weren’t there long enough to use the cupboard, dvds, gym, etc but based on the appearance of all of those areas I would definitely stay at a Candlewood again, no matter where we are but definitely this one! Awesome experience!
I stayed in this hotel several times a few years ago when it was new and thought it was great. I tried a few other hotels in Columbus during this time and have come to the conclusion that the Candlewood Suites are the best value accommodations for the price.However, the rooms are starting the show some wear and tear as little things were broken such as cabinet door hinges and light fixtures. Also, the cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom, needs to be improved. Not bad enough that I wouldnt stay again but it could definitely be better.The free laundry facility is great except only one out three each of the washers and dryers was working so I had to wait a whole day to do some laundry.I havent used the fitness room or pool, but they both look nice.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful both during check-in/out. Rooms are very nice, although did find some spots that housekeeping missed and there was a light out in the bathroom. Overall, I would stay here again as it is in a convenient location and the price was competitive.
Would not recommend this hotel based upon my experience. Took 20 minutes to check in at 11pm, refrigerator rattled all night, loud AC unit, coffee maker had old coffee in pot, coffee machine in lobby was broken, shampoo and soap dispensers in shower were empty. Not much left to say...
The hotel was very nice. The room was spacious and loved the kitchen! Free use of washer and dryer is amazing. Loved the option to rent movies and rent kitchen appliances and games! I checked in at 11:00pm which was obviously shift change time so I had to sit and wait for the new staff member to get in and clock in before I could check in. After a long day I didn’t love that but she was super friendly and it didn’t ruin my stay.
What great things I can say. The night lady Bobby was very helpful in getting me in the door. Im on a Walker. My son had been injured so I drove down he was on crutches. Even the next day the gentleman at the front desk help me in my car and helped me bring food to our room.
The staff was awesome! Everyone was pleasant, cheerful, and did all they could to be helpful. The Director of Sales was at the front desk often and extremely helpful. When I asked her for a card, for her name, she gave me a generic hotel card for the hotel, so I cant give her due credit. She was wonderful! Also, the rooms were very nice, clean, and roomy. Lobby and grounds were also very well kept up.
My daughter n i traveled to Fort Benning to attend her brothers BT graduation. We needed a place to stay and my friend recommended we stay at a Candlewood Suites Hotel, i nvr have before. This location felt like it was in a safe area. The outside and inside of the hotel was well maintained, very clean. You could not beat the price and we had a very comfortable and spacious room. I was able to cook meals in r room, i couldnt have had a better visit to the Fort Benning area. I would stay at this location again
After traveling long this is where I would stay the bed are so comfortable and soft that it just gives you a good nights sleep. The place is clean the room feels so homey everything you need is already there and the people there are great friendly and helpful! I also love that this is a dog friendly hotel!
I usually stay down the street at the Staybridge Suites, which is another IHG hotel but they didn’t have a room for the night. I was pleasantly surprised with this Candlewood. It was nice, clean, and confortable. The staff is welcoming and friendly. I prefer hotels that offer breakfast, but since it has the kitchen this is definitely somewhere I would stay again if I come back to Columbus.
I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the size and cleanliness of the rooms. Compared to other motel rates, I felt this was a great deal. Everyone that I saw there was very pleasant and helpful. I was also glad they didnt have room service come to clean each day UNLESS I requested it. However, they provided extra towels, and extra coffee, etc if I needed them.I plan on staying at this motel again when visiting my Son and his family. And will look for this string of motels when visiting other areas in the future.VERY PLEASED !!
The stay at this hotel was pretty good overall with just slight issues. First of all the price was great with an accommodating room of two queen beds and a mini kitchen. Secondly the rooms are pretty clean with everything in order and very tidy. The staff was average though since the issue I had with the food being moldy wasnt of too much interest to the agent at the front. Furthermore management never checked up on me to get feedback about the issue. But experience was good and I will be staying there a couple more times.
We stayed here this past weekend. I was very impressed with there studio suite. I have never stayed at any hotel/motel that provides absolutely everything you need to survive. The full kitchenette came equip with a full size refrigerator with an ice maker, a pitcher inside refrigerator, a full size microwave w/ vent fan and other features over the stove area, dishwasher, sank, pots, pans, plates, silverware, cookware, coffee cups, toaster, coffee maker, bowls, drinking glasses, complimentary dish washer powder,, complimentary dish washing liquid, complimentary wash dish washing cloths and paper towels. Also, you are allowed to go the front desk and request additional kitchenware at no additional charge. The studio was very clean and modern in style. I was so impressed with all the complimentary samples provided in the toiletries as well. They also have a small store you can buy last minute items like deodorant, washing powder, snacks, etc. Not to mention, the location is near plenty of restaurants, a variety of stores, and shopping centers. We only paid around 140.00 for the two nights we stayed there. I couldnt have been more pleased with everything.
1st time weve stayed in an extended stay hotel. This is fairly new so little wear & tear is evident. Plain but very spacious, clean & well designed. Loved that big peninsula separating kitchen from living room. Has a modern decor theme but very serviceable: induction cooktop in the kitchen was a nice surprise, a nice collection of kitchen tools & bowls was available. Could have used a bit more silverware & plates & bowls so I didnt have to run the dishwasher so much. Refrigerator was full size but did wobble when opening/closing door. (An easy fix if management is on their toes.) A storage pantry in kitchen was a nice extra. Bathroom was plain but spacious. Staff was very responsive when TV wouldnt work. (Gamers had disconnected stuff for playing games & failed to reconnect it; smart male staffer figured it out promptly.) Gals at front desk were friendly & helpful. They even held some of our ice cream & milk for 2 days until we came back for our last night with them. We were on 3rd floor & it was quiet. Free coffee in the little store downstairs was a very nice plus. If we are ever back in this area, we will for sure stay here.

Nice stay! The bed was super comfortable! The front desk people were very nice. Bathrooms have great lighting. Everything you need in the kitchen and if not you can borrow an appliance from the borrowing center. They have long desks in the room which give you a lot of room to put your belongings on.
Our stay at Candlewood Suites was one of the best hotel experiences my family has ever had. Clean, we’ll appointed rooms, secure facilities, the kitchenette was top notch, great mattress and pillows. They provide a lending locker for certain items. The self serve store was nice to have. I liked the single entrance that was locked but manned at night. It was all around one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. And the price was quite reasonable.
I was in the middle of a move and got hurt. I needed a quiet place to rest for a day while my husband and others packed the rest of the house. I called and was hoping they could assist me to get an early check in. The desk clerk said No problem we will have a room for you when you get here. She even got me set up in a handicapped room because of my injury. The grab bars were handy to get in and out of the shower.Loved the full sized fridge and comfortable bed. Also there was a recliner in the room too. Absolutely love the spacious room and the professional service I received there.
Stayed at this hotel with my family and it was great. The location is amazing since it it close to many restaurants, gas stations and the Walmart. The staff was great and I love the kitchen and full size refrigerator. If you are looking for a great family orientated hotel then this is the place. I will definitely be coming back and recommend this wholeheartedly.
I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was courteous and professional and courteous. The hotel was very clean and safe. The outside grill and pavilion was nice. It was too cold to get in the pool, yet it was well maintained as well. Every expectation that I would want from an extended stay was met.
Great front desk team..they went above and beyond! I was PCSing overseas and they truly came together and saved the day! Clean room, clean bathroom-comfy bed. Breakfast would be a great addition, but this has nothing to do with the personnel. The owner may need to figure out some space for a kitchen.... ;).
Overall the stay was pretty good. A little pricey . Until I was checking room before we left and the light fixture on the ceiling fell and hit me in the back . I got the attention of staff and the one lady asked if I was ok ,but no one offer any kind of discount or anything for the inconvenience. For that not real impressed with this hotel.
We stayed here a Tuesday through a Friday. The check in and check out service and staff were pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure was amazing! The colors and furniture were current and well kept. The location was convenient to shopping and food and Ft Benning Base. I feel like the floors could be cleaner in the corners of the bathroom. The towels were clean and fresh but a little rough for my preference. The fridge in room 123 has an unpleasant ticking noise when compressor is running. The room was quite most nights until the cheer competition busses rolled in. Note: you dont want to be on floor below them or near them. Sounds like a wrecking ball. For the price this was a nice hotel I would stay here again.
Do not recommend. We checked in around 4 and stayed for about an hour and half because we saw hundreds of ants on the air conditioner and hairs in the shower.We did not want to stay in this place so asked to check out and get a refund minus the cleaning fee which was rejected.Refused to get a room change because obviously every other rooms going to be in just the same condition. Ended up spending about 100 for a few hours stay. Does not recommend.
I would sooner have declined the experience, but given the situation I probably would not have been able to find better accommodations for the price. We made reservations, site unseen, days before evacuation and were told we could cancel without penalty should we not need the room. The room was spacious and cheerful - a definite plus under the circumstances. The kitchenette allowed preparation of meals in the room saving us the hassle and expense of finding a good restaurant 3 times a day.Staff was pleasant and very helpful. If I were travelling this route again for any reason, I would definitely book a room at this hotel. I seriously doubt I could do better.
Clean, quiet, wonderful staff! Great air-conditioning. Be aware that breakfast is on your own in your room and cleaning service is one a week. However, you can get supplies for breakfast from the lobby and you can always swap towels and/or linens at the front desk.This was a wonderful stay all the way around!
Everyone their was so kind and helpful, felt like I was among family, especially since it was at the beginning of Covin-19, which I constantly saw workers disinfecting everything, door knobs, handles, vending machines, and Washers and dryers on site, NO CHARGE! The helped me find fishing spots for me and my grandson, who never went fishing before, places to eat, etc. The room was perfect with refrigerator, dish washer, desk, table, microwave, movie and games, didnt miss anything from home. Will go back for sure
Room very nice and spacious. Its a, extended stay hotel so no breakfast but you have a kitchenette. Staff extremely friendly.Reducing the rating due to stingyness with towels. My husband wanted a new one and I wanted an extra one. I dont know if its a corporate policy or what but the 3rd degree I got for asking for extra towels was uncalled for and not customer friendly. I dont want to down the girl running the desk because she was super friendly and sweet. But come on candlewood....we had friends that stayed here that had an issue with the same thing.
The staff here are phenomenal! Lekeya (hotel clerk) was the best! She was very friendly and knowledgable! She made me feel very welcome and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Vicky and Teri were just as great! There are so many good things I would like to say about them but not enough room. My room was very clean and I loved the decor! The hallways always smelled fantastic. That means a lot for a hotel that allows dogs and there were dogs in some of the rooms. When we go back to Columbus we will definelty be staying here again.
This place was perfect. I have very high expectations when I stay at a hotel. My visit to this hotel was to evacuate Florida from hurricane Irene. I say that because eI had no expectations and felt lucky just to find place. I never stayed at a Candlewood Suites before. Wow! The place was great, very modern and fresh. The best part was the exceptional staff. They were very caring and made sure that everyones needs were met. They knew many people were tired when arriving and nervous about what they would return home to. They went the extra mile. I stayed at three hotels on this trip and the others did not come close. They are also dog friendly. Thank you!
Stayed at this hotel in different cities. I love it. Very clean hotel. Friendly amd professional staff. Makes me feel they care about the quality of the hotel too.Only problem when i stayed in Columbus, i got in at 11pm and in bed by midnight. The people above me were still up, slamming furniture around. I was too tired not moving rooms at that point. Then they were up early the next morning stomping across my ceiling. But not the hotels fault just stupid people. If i had called desk Im sure they would have helped me but i was only there for one night.
When I came in the door with my family, the front desk associate “Tory” said I’ll be right back. Left for five minutes while he was on the cell phone. Came back to the desk after 5 minutes, remained on the phone. He was on the phone for 5 more minutes and then checked us in. Later in the evening I called to get a late check out 1:00 PM and was told the hotel could not do that do to being completely booked. I requested the manager to contact me and Tory advised the manager will not be in until Monday. Stay here if you want, but the customer service is non-existent. Bathroom of the room is not clean and there are holes in the drywall of the ceiling. Basically stay in a IHG corporate hotel. This is not one. Always get burned by the privately owned hotels. On a good note...if you are in the area go visit Chicago Pizza. That place is awesome!
The hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable,and there was a DVD player with movies available at the front desk! The kitchen was stocked and had anything you needed (including coffee, microwave popcorn, salt, pepper and sugar). The staff was amazing! Everyone was very welcoming and greeted you anytime they saw you, made sure everything was great with your stay and I had a sense that the staff took pride in their hotel.
The staff here is exceptional everyone was welcoming and friendly. The room needs some updating. The vent in the bathroom was not working it needs a new paint job kind of dingy. it has a nice gazebo area with with gas grills that you can use and we did take advantage of that for a Ranger school graduation.celebration. Beds were comfy. I would stay here again but I would make sure the bathroom vent was working
My Excellent review is hard for me to give, I am Top Tier Rewards member with many brands. I travel five days a week thru out the US. Things I love is the following.1. The hotel is close to everything that a traveler would desire, the hotel is in a very safe area near all the major shopping that the city has to offer.2. the lobby was clean and ground where clean and the Desk Clerk was busy working every time I past the counter.3. Room was very nice, many cable channels and not must noise coming from other people rooms. The bed and shower where awesome!
I cant say enough good about Candlewood in Columbus, GA. We were mandatorily evacuated from the coast due to hurricane Dorian. We found Candlewood on an internet search for pet-friendly hotels. Our reservation was handled very professionally, and our stay was great. Our room was neat and clean, and the pet area was clean, well-tended and very convenient. We had no complaints and would certainly stay again if the situation reoccurs in the future. Recommended.
I enjoyed my stay at this Candlewood Suites.Located on the north side of Columbus; restaurants, shopping, and retail stores are all within a mile.My room was clean and comfortable. Best water pressure Ive ever had in a hotel shower!Crystal, the receptionist, is awesome! Her customer service skills are topnotch and deserve recognition. Candlewood Suites will lose an asset, should she decide to move elsewhere in her professional career.
First off let me say that I spend almost half my life in hotels. Ive stayed at almost every chain there is along the east coast. So to begin the rooms were comfortable, clean, spacious, quiet, and fully stocked with whatever I needed for a long stay. The staff was very friendly and the hotel is new with a contemporary feel. Had a nice gym and pool (outdoor) as well. There are a few things that stood out to me that I havent seen before. My room (standard king) had a lazy boy recliner, and in the lobby theres a lending locker that has every kitchen appliance you can think of, games, and DVDs all of which are free. All in all Id have to say that this is the best extended stay hotel Ive ever stayed at.
We stayed at the Candlewood for two days and nights. The staff were friendly and responsive to our comfort and our needs. The hotel itself was clean and orderly and appeared well taken care of. Everything was explained and in two situations were also shown to us in order that we could make the best choices. We appreciate the extra time the staff took to show us where things were and it appeared as though they really enjoyed that we chose to stay with them.
Perfect location to everything you need! He staff is ahhhmazing and the GM Mr Weaver was very accommodating with directions and even suggested some awesome restaurants in town to try. I found the staff to be polite and courteous no matter the hour of day. The room was clean and efficient with all my basic needs to get me through my temporary stay in town. I’ll definitely be back and would certain suggest this place to my friends and colleagues.
Everything was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen with full sized refrigerator and stove top with a couple of burners was nice to have, especially staying multiple nights. The only thing I was not too thrilled about was the fact that there was a service fee added to book my stay. I suppose its because of them using IHG, in which must be a third party that handles all of their bookings now. Maybe all hotels are going in that direction, but this was the first time I had experienced such a fee for booking a hotel. Otherwise, it was a very nice hotel and I would recommend it.
We will definitely stay in Candlewood Suites again. The staff is excellent, the room clean, well furnished and comfortable. It was also quiet even though the hotel appeared to be full. We slept great in the big cozy bed. It is also pet friendly, we brought our dog with us. I highly recommend Candlewood Suites,
I have stayed at this hotel almost 5 times now. The staff has always been courteous and the rooms always nice upon check-in. However, on my previous visit to the hotel, I went 19 days without anyone cleaning my room. I asked the front desk on two occasions to have the room cleaned but never received service.I decided to come back to this hotel again on this trip hoping that the above was just a mistake. On my 8th day of staying my room had not been serviced. I am supposed to receive full service from housekeeping every 7 days. I notified the front desk and was assured that my room would be cleaned the following day. When I returned to my room the next evening, my room had still not been cleaned. I again asked for service and finally received it the day after. I understand that people make mistakes and things happen, but the fact that this occurred more than once and on different reservations, leads me to believe that there is oversight in the housekeeping department. I normally stay for up to 28 days at a time. When your room is only service once per week, it is easy to run out of linens. Especially when they only give you two. I am very unsatisfied with this and will most likely not return to this hotel.
Hotel was clean, warm and inviting walking in. Very modern. Front desk Manager Mr. Williams was very quick and friendly checking in. My room was extremely clean, spacious, and modern. The beds are soft. Plenty of desk space for work. Spacious bathroom. Felt very at home from the moment I arrived. Will stay again next time Im in town.
Our room was large and comfortable. Small kitchen with regular fridge. Desk and recliner in room. Clean bathroom. Nice crisp linens on bed. The bed itself was comfortable but very small for two people. It was like a double bed. So if I had to do it over I would ask for a room with two beds.
The staff was very friendly. Also the manager was amazing in helping to handle swapping one of the rooms I reserved from a single queen to a double queen.The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. The pillows were a bit meh.The pet policy published on the website was followed perfectly. Ive had front desk staff complain and give me the side eye when traveling with my 45lb dog before, even if they have a pet policy that allows dogs. This was not the case here. Theres plenty of green space to walk you pets on, though there are no fenced in off leash areas.
Ive stayed at this particular property multiple times since they opened, and each time have been impressed by the staff. They remember me, greet me every time I enter the lobby area, and even the housekeeping staff is extremely there when you need them and invisible when you dont!However, this past week, they floored me! I have gotten accustomed to requesting my favorite room (located on the top floor, at the end of the corridor - nice and quiet!), and the staff has been great in accommodating my request.As I was checking out last Friday, I casually said Ill see you next month! and didnt think much more about it. About 45 minutes later, I was driving home and my phone rang. It was Rochelle, from the front desk, calling because she couldnt find my reservation for next month and she wanted to add a note to my reservation so I would get my favorite room! To say I was impressed would be an understatement.This is one of the reasons I LOVE your property. Being on the road can get kind of lonely, but your staff is so friendly, I do feel like its my home away from home. Thanks!!!!
Even as a last minute stay I was greeted with a fast and friendly service. The gentleman that checked us in worked with my needs and got a room that I found quite nice and very comfortable the beds were very comfortable and full size pillows most hotels don’t offer anymore. Overall I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay.
My wife and I stayed here for 5 days when we first moved to Columbus. Wow! What a great place! We had never stayed in a Candlewood before and now we plan to make it our go-to place when on the road. This one was built in 2015 and everything is nice and new. Every room is a non-smoking suite with a full-sized fridge, kitchen sink with garbage disposal, 2 stove burners, microwave,dishes, cooking utensils and silverware. It is especially nice if you have to stay longer than a single night. My wife and I bought some groceries and were able to cook some great meals for ourselves. In addition, the rooms have flat panel TVs and DVD players with a stash of DVDs you can check out at the front desk. The pet walk area is clean and larger than other hotels we have stayed at before. They even have a small workout room and self-service laundry facility free of charge. Again, if you have to stay for longer than a single night, this is great! The staff at this location are super-friendly and really make you feel welcomed. You wont go wrong picking this place!
We stay at he Candlewood Northeast in Columbus GA approx twice every six weeks to two months. It feels like we are coming home. Anthony at the front desk could not be more accomodating. He always remembers us and goes out of his way to make us comfortable. All of the staff are super friendly. Sabrina, the Manager runs a tight ship, and it shows. She is also very friendly and makes sure all is perfect. Given the choice, i would never stay in any other hotel.
Loved the room we had. They dont have breakfast but thats ok. There was a shootout in the parking lot though... And they offered nothing since it was out of their control which I felt like was bad since so many people including children couldnt eat because cars not being able to be moved for the crime scene. I had to leave my kids to get food because the walk was too far and the heat was too real. 5 hours stuck here and they didnt offer patrons so much as a bottle of water.
I enjoyed my stay. The room was very spacious for 4 people. The front desk staff was wonderful, Ms. Cynthia was very helpful and funny. The young lady who checked me in was wonderful as well. The only draw back was the towels were not available when requested.The location was very centralized and I will consider staying here again.
Bed, not comfortable, lumpy and old. Tired when ck in at 0300, could not find any cups for drinking in kit or bathroom. Later at ck out told they were in the dishwasher...who knew!Air conditioner was blasting, set at 63..it was 29 degrees outside. Shivered with coat on til room warmed to 70.Staff extremely friendly.
The Candlewood Suites Whittlesey Blvd Columbus Georgia leaves a lot to be desired. The staff could really benefit from some training in customer service. The hotel is located in an excellent location and the building is nicely designed. It seems to be a fairly new construction. If the staff would dress professionally and greet the customer as though they depended on them to be successful it would make all the difference in the world. Every business experiences problems but poor customer contact plus two or three problems that are careless mistakes leaves a bad taste in ones mouth. It causes one to wonder what else was not clean that just didnt see; the pillows, the sheets?
We came to Columbus, GA for the first time for graduation of our grandson from highschool. Our stay at Candlewood Suites was excellent. We were very comfortable. The location was very convenient to our family, the graduation site, as well as traveling, dining, and shopping. Our room was comfortable, clean and the facilities were excellent. We would highly recommend others to stay at your establishment any time.
Enjoyed my stay. Clean room and nice kitchen comfortable bed. I didnt use the cupboard but seems very convenient. Tv was a decent size no blu ray player as advertised which was disappointing because I rented movies based off the claim. Otherwise lovely stay. Friendly desk staff
I stayed here last year around the same time. I was shocked to see how much it had gone down. The only reason I stayed is because my first two nights were prepaid. I didnt want the hassle of switching hotels. I had surgery that Friday. On Saturday my nurse went to warm my soup for me and there was a giant roach in the microwave. I instantly got sick to my stomach and called the front desk to ask for a manager. I was told that there wasnt a manager onsite and the only thing that he could do was move me 3 DOORS DOWN!!! We took the room key and stayed with my family in Atlanta. The next day we came back and asked for a manager we were told that she was on a call. I called back and was told the same thing. I called IHGs complaint department. I was told that they would handle everything and get back to me. I never heard from them or a manager. I have a surgery and recovery blog and I have referred this place to many. I will be writing a letter to the GM of this hotel. I will stay there or use IHG again! My stay was horrible! The front desk clerk Anthony was especially rude and unbothered when I expressed my concern. He felt an apology was enough for my experience!
The hotel and the staff was excellent. I checked in late due to a prior engagement but the receptionist was awesome. He was very nice and polite and had the room waiting for me. I dont remember his name but he was working on the night of Sep 21. Just want to tell him thanks for his hospitality.
Cleanliness and customer service are one the pillars of the hospitality industry. They hotel began to exhibit a decline of both services. My experiences were questioned by front desk staff member. I have never had to prove that an item is dirty in the room. I did at during this stay. It was completely unacceptable.
I like Candlewood hotels but this one seemed more like a different hotel name in amenities and another in lower class of name. Ive been through the front door many times and never once have I been addressed. I always have to ask if theyre doing alright. Staff seems to have limited social skills. Housekeeping was not pleasant upon arrival either. I did not feel welcomed at all individually or in whole by this hotel. Cooking microwave is out of order but wasnt notified. Thelf was broken off in shower and cheaply and generically replaced by someone that doesnt know what theyre doing. Usually Candlwood suits also have indispensable and refillable units for shampooing and conditioning attached to the wall but this place doesnt. This place flailed on all 5 stars for me.
It was not clean. Told the front desk and they said ok. Did not ask to come get the trash out the was from the previous guest. Then the TV did not work. Had a very hard time trying to get it unplugged and plugged back in. Later on we went to use the microwave and there was food left in there from previous guest. Day two they did not give any towels or clean. Very poor housekeeping!
The room was extremely clean and having a recliner in the room made our stay even better. The bed was the best bed we have ever had in a Hotel!!! Even the pillows were top of the line in quality!!! This was the best experience we have ever had in staying in a hotel. Thank you to Candlewood Suites.
Upon check in after a twelve hour drive there was urine all over the toilet seat, the floors were not swept, bathroom door was filthy, tile falling off the shower wall, broken falling apart nightstand, unswept hallways, and missing button for elevator in corridor. By far the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. If you prefer a clean comfortable room don’t stay at this hotel. We have stayed at other Candlewood hotels with great experiences but this time was a complete disappointment.
We were in Columbus visiting family for a wedding and military graduation and couldnt find a place to stay, as the entire area seemed to be booked up. Luckily we stumbled upon this hotel. The staff was super friendly and helped us with directions because we were totally lost. They made us feel at home and we will be sure to choose this place again in the near future.
This was such a cool hotel. Most of the rooms have full kitchens in them. Ive never seen that before. I usually stay in the holiday inns. This was a very nice hotel. The rooms were very clean. The whole hotel was very resort like. Very nice bathrooms. Beds were very comfortable. There is a 24 hour gym and pool. The staff are very nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying here if your in the area.
We stayed to see our son graduate from Airborne at Fort Benning. It was a bit further but the price was very reasonable.and easy to get to. Staff was wonderful, rooms were good for the price, pillows and beds were comfortable. Loved the kitchenette. Close to tons of stores and restaurants. Air worked wonderfully. We would definitely stay here again if in this area.
We had a great time and were very pleased. This was a good hotel. The bathrooms need a bit of repair in small areas. The humidity is probably the cause. Better fans would help. Need more ventilation in the bathrooms. Also the Water from the tub drained very slowly when taking a shower causing the tub to fill with water.
I just wanted to check in and relax. To many issues with both the first room, then the second. It was clean and roomy, but smoke detector needed a battery, no one there to do it so I had to change rooms, after finding the phone didn’t work to call the desk. Second room was not what I booked, tv was stupid with two remotes, and it faced the road and parking lot. Very aggravating to go up and down three times on extremely bad knees.
The location of this property was perfect (not too far from places we needed to be) and the staff was super-friendly! Joy (front desk employee) was empathetic to how rough my day was when we checked in and made me and my wife feel at home! If were ever in Columbus again, well be staying here for sure!
This is a very nice hotel. The staff members are very nice and helpful. I was here with my family for a mini reunion and we really enjoyed our stay. I think the best part of the visit was the availability to be able to use the picnic area and the gas grill. My husband, brothers and brother-in-law cooked a full course meal in no time. I would highly recommend this to others.
Comfortable bed. Need to improve on maid service. Great amenities in the bathroom. Very clean hotel. Staff at counter were friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions. I left a blouse hanging in closet and when I called about it, I was told there was nothing turned in to lost and found.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Candlewood Suites. I went during Easter time and the front was decorated with various Easter decorations so I didnt feel as bad about not being able to go home. Luckily for me, my family was able to come down and stay at the hotel with me. Everyone enjoyed the stay and was very happy with the setup of the room. The only thing that I wished was a little bit different was the amount of devices you could connect to the Internet. There was 3 of us and between us there was various devices that could connect to the Internet. It would have been nice if we all could have used our individual various electronics at one time. My mother and I both had school work so we were using the Internet for that with everyone trying to use the WiFi for their phones and ipads/tablets. I get why there is a limit for the number of devices but it was just a little of an inconvenience when you have multiple devices from multiple people who have some sort of work/homework to try and get done. Other than that everything else was great!
This is a newer hotel, and is set for extended stay. If you are looking for a minimal housekeeping hotel, this is a great Hotel in Columbus. They will clean your room once a week, and you can get towels as often as you like. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms were in excellent shape and well kept.
Perfect location for the Columbus area. Its on the side of Columbus close to industrial parks, few miles from the airport, and near some nice restaurants. Its perfect for someone traveling for business which is why I stayed here in the first place, but I would definitely stay here again. The staff was very friendly, and the outside appearance is that the hotel is well managed. Finally, the rooms have a very clean feel, and I slept like a baby in the bed. All of this at a very affordable rate.
Spent 2 nights at Candlewood. The main reason I picked the hotel was because of free washer and dryer - but it was soooo much more. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Very quiet, the bed was soo comfortable and the kitchen was a bonus I actually made pancakes. Id definitely stay again.
I only gave a one star because it was the only way to leave a comment. So first things first Ive stayed at a lot of hotels in this town due to my family being in the military. This one is the worst hotel yet.Here are a few things that happened bugs in the room and cabinets. The recliner in the room and the coffee maker as well was broken. When I spoke to the night clerk about this she stated to me I really dont careand took a coffee maker from another room depriving that room of a coffee maker. She also started mocking the way they greeted the guest to the hotel. If you like to hear dogs barking,bugs, broken furniture and poor service at a high price this is the place for you.
I stayed at the Candlewood Suites in Columbus due to my wife having surgery at the Hugheston Clinic. The hotel was new and very clean. The staff was very friendly. We got a king room and I was impressed with it. The room was large and very clean. It has a hot plate full size refrigerator, and dishwasher. There is a large desk that is very convenient.
Wonderful hotel Clean, new, lots of amenities. Very comfortable. Perfect location.Had a fantastic stay. We brought our dogs and it was perfect. If I had to make one suggestion it would be that I was not told there was a charge for the animals it was just added to the bill at the end.
This hotel is new and clean. The staff is welcoming and friendly, very efficient and helpful. The kitchen was perfect for my stay and the room had every little thing that you could need. The dvd player was a great perk and the suite I stayed in had so much room, I cant wait to come back to visit my husband and stay here again!
The hotel was very clean (It had only been open for a month) but the check in staff was inexperienced with the computer so it took over an hour to get to our room (the first room she gave us was already occupied). She was very polite and we just chalked it up to everything being new. The big problem was the air conditioner in the room - it worked fine as long as there was movement in the room but cut off after we went to sleep. We would wake up at least once an hour to lower the thermostat and by 6:00 am it was on 64 and the room was hot and muggy! Once we got up and started moving it started working just fine. We did notice upon leaving that the hallway was warm and muggy also. Anyway, we will stay elsewhere when we are in Columbus - sometime energy saving devices dont work very well. The hotel is very clean and the staff polite so if you like to sleep in a sauna, this could be the hotel for you.
What a fantastic experience while running from hurricane Michael. All the employees made our bad time into a great time. One individual (Anthony) made our visit wonderful. A genuine down to earth person who made our experience there enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is like home The Candlewood Suites offer a kitchen and a handicapped accessible walk in shower. I have bad knees and theyre usually able to ACCOMADATE me on me my wifes frequent visits to The Candlewood Suites. A complimentary stay would be nice but The Candlewood Suites are well worth the price.
Love this hotel! Great rooms! Great atmosphere! Hang out in the lobby with other guests, or out back under the overhead covering by the grills and pool. Borrow any kitchen item you need, or grab a board game or DVD from their Collection, to play with the kids. This place has it all. Just ask for it!!
This newer extended stay hotel is a good value for the money. Just a note: it a a pet friendly facility so if you are not, dont book here! Luckily it was not an issue for me. The room was clean. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to shopping and restaurants. Traffic can get a bit heavy getting in and out but not unbearable. I will stay here again.
Loved the rooms. I was instantly pleased when I opened the door. I booked this place on a whim and couldnt be happier with the room I received. I would definitely stay here again, but my impression of this location would improve if the individual who booked my reservation sounded happier to speak with me on the phone. It was difficult to hear her and she seemed annoyed to work with me. Thankfully, I did not get that vibe when I checked in...!
Just not the normal staff of an IHG property - Customer Service needs a little TLC. . I had a hard time checking in - due to an error in my priority club account - however, the staff checking me in was impatient and didnt understand how to change the expiration date of my card (which is why it was declining) It took an hour, he eventually canceled my reservation and the re-booked it. Which worked and was appreciated. The other staff issue was just irritating. She was fairly short and not willing to take any initiative to help me figure out how to use the DVR, wasnt willing to help me find a remote or call another team member for support. These two are not a reflection of your entire staff - the day shift staff were excellent and kind.
I had to visit Columbus to care for a sick family member for an extended time. Candlewood provided a clean, comfortable place to rest and unwind after each long day. The facility is clean. The staff is friendly. The rooms are spacious. And, most important to me...they are pet friendly. Thank you for a restful stay during a stressful time.
Check in was easy the first day. My husband had made me a reservation for the 2nd night because I was busy with 2 teenagers and a dog. They would not accept the reservation made by my husband to stay a 2nd night, even though it was made with my name as the guest checking in. So that was cancelled and one remade in my name thus not giving me the online price he got. I was told at check in there was no fee for the dog, but at check out they had added a $75 pet fee.
I had driven several hours and got in the hotel at 1:00am. The check in was nice. I asked what time was check out. I was informed that it was 12 pm.. But around 9:00 am , I had a knock on the door.. And wouldn’t quit knocking until I said something.( My wake up call) It was housekeeping wanting to clean the room!!!!! I guess they felt I had enough rest and it was time for me to get out. I’m not sure why they were in such a hurry though because the floors were so sticky when I got in there,my shoes were almost pulled off.. I am disappointed that there is not a procedure to know who has checked out of rooms so this won’t happen.
I stayed at the Candlewood Suites for 7 days and my entire stay from start to finish was the epitome of great customer service. Every staff member was friendly, and always offered a warm welcome. Since I was recovering from surgery it was really nice to see such warm faces daily. Vickey along with the sales manager were the absolute best and hands down helpful.
Loved the room , cute and cozy, bed was amazing i loved the atmosphere of the room, shower was amazing and the kitchen was very useful . i truly would come back to this hotel over and over. the air conditioning unit was amazing had the room nice and cold the way i like it .
We made our reservations at the Candlewood Suites, just to try it out. This was our third trip to Columbus, GA; and out of all the hotels weve stayed at, Candlewood exceeded all of them...by miles! Very clean and comfortable room; full kitchen, and plenty of room to stretch out. They even had an iron and ironing board, which it turned out I needed during our trip. What a treat! The staff were all friendly and happy to have us as guests. We will definitely be staying again!
ConsNot thrilled with the staffs attitude upon check in nor during the stay. Room walls were dirty and recieved no soap or lotion in bathroom and shapoo/conditioner was empty. No extra toilet paper under sink, and bed comforter and sheets had stains.....yuk.....this is a fairly new facility to have these issues. Try a little harder to facilitate customer service and loose the attitude!......I will not be back when I travel back to columbus.ProsThey are dog friendly however and guests are as well. Its not horrible for the price and location! I would like to think my experience was an isolated experience.
My family and I needed a room for the night but due to a concert in the area, rooms were all booked. Cynthia was able to find my family a room and we are very thankful. She did a great job of explaining and making sure we knew all the amenities available to us during our stay. I would highly recommend candlewood to anybody.
I have stayed at Candlewood Suites for 6 months. As a traveling lab Tech I have to say that it is the best place Ive stayed so far. The manager and all the staff were always friendly and genuinely interested in accommodating my every need quickly and without complaint. The rooms are clean, well equipped, roomy and the beds are so comfortable. The location is great as well. It is close to the airport, shopping, area attractions and many restaurants. I highly recommend staying here and will choose other Candlewood Suites for my future travels. Thank you for serving me and being my second family away from home.

2021-12-19I stayed here the night prior to my sons graduation. Weve stayed at Candlewood before and havent been disappointed. The guest service representative was friendly and got us checked in quickly. Our room was clean and comfortable. I was disappointed that there wasnt a breakfast offered in the morning. It would have been helpful to be able to grab a quick meal prior to heading out. Other than that the stay was great, and wed stay here again.

2022-04-07I stayed in the handicapped room. The walls were filthy. Food all over walls especially near garbage cans. Room was disgusting.Coffee pot was dirty, refrigerator ran loudly ALL NIGHT. Thought about unplugging it.

2021-10-20This extended stay hotel was very nice and clean. Though a little different from a standard hotel, it was nice to have the option to cook my own meals, instead of having to eat out. It was fairly quiet, though is close to highway so some traffic noise but definitely not too bad at night. Hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel could use a little refresh on paint and carpet, but everything in the room worked just fine.

2021-10-28I have stayed at this particular property several times and all stays have been wonderful. Staff is friendly and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. Love having dishes and a large fridge and the free washers and dryers are a plus. Will continue to stay at this property and recommend it to family and friends.

2021-10-29The hotel is very clean, quiet and comfortable. The room has a well stocked kitchenette with a full size fridge. The closet is large with an iron and ironing board. The bathroom has a nice counter and good storage. Strong water pressure in the shower, too. The bed is very comfortable. The internet works well. There are loads of drawers for your items. The staff is friendly and helpful. Ample parking and a great location.

2021-11-28I had put my dad up at this hotel to stay over Thanksgiving as our home is pretty cramped. The staff helped him numerous times with technical difficulties, they were kind everytime. The room was well stocked and cleaned. Its in a great location. Ive had my parents stay here before.

2021-12-04Solid stay at the Columbus, GA location. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The gym was good sized with a decent choice of equipment. The only downside was that the location was not serving breakfast - I missed that fact when I reserved the room on the IHG app. The staff was very friendly, though.

2021-11-07I use this place for extended TDY in the area. I’ve never had any issues here. Staff up front are very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and stocked with everything you need for an extended stay. The gym is pretty nice for a hotel gym and there’s a nice gym across the street that’s easy to join while you are here temporarily. The neighborhood is a little rough but it’s not that bad, people complaining about it should just stop being wusses.It’s a good location that is close to Post and downtown.

2022-01-07Wife and myself arrived late night after a long long trip only to be attended by a mad assistant. On top of this the room we stayed in wasn’t very cleaned, utensils were very dirty as well the dishes, also the tv didn’t work. Wish I could post pictures.
