Looking online the place looked great! Pulling in it was disappointing to find such a fine dining establishment placed in a Kroger parking lot.Going inside was a different story. It had a nice ambiance. Small, cozy and classy. The womens bathroom was very underwhelming. When I walked in it immediately gave “chain restaurant” vibes. However, the oyster’s!!!! They were delicious ! We ordered the chargrilled oysters well done and they were perfect. If I do come back it will be strictly for the oysters. The springs rolls were good. I also ordered the colossal crab cocktail. It was worth maybe a fraction of the cost. The cocktail sauce was very spicy. Our buss-boy threw our bread on the table which we found extremely rude. Our waitress was very attentive and kind. The host was very welcoming.Overall a decent experience. I do feel they may be overpriced for what’s being offered.
OMG! This place is Ahhh-mazing! My husband and I went here to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and the birth of our daughter and the food and service was exquisite! Everyone was friendly the atmosphere was great. The server was well versed in what was good on the menu and gave great suggestions. It is at a higher price point but it was worth it! I would totally go back!
The service was unmatched, and the food was delicious! They have a very appealing menu with quite a few dishes for those of us who do not enjoy seafood. You literally cant go wrong no matter what you choose to order. Make reservations ahead, as its often booked well in advance, but they have a fairly large bar area and heaters to keep you warm if you prefer to eat outside even in winter. The staff is gracious, attentive, and eager to please its guests. Arnold, the general manager is a gem of a person with impeccable taste and a genuine desire to make sure that diners feel welcomed when they arrive and completely satisfied when they leave. For anyone who has never eaten at C&S (Ive only been to the Cobb location), I highly recommend trying this restaurant at least once - I cant imagine anyone being disappointed with their experience. here.
I had a nice dinner with my husband last Saturday 10/9/21. My husband got the Filet mignon oscar. I had the Twin lobster tail (one was steamed and the other one was fried) for the appetizers we had spring rolls, tuna tartar and calamari. It was also my 1st time trying their Strawberry margarita. I just wished they put some salt to go with it on top of the glass. But they didnt. The mushrooms on the side was okayyy but they could have done it way better. And they could have put us in a slightly bigger table since I made a reservation like a week ago. There are lots vacant tables that arent even reserved. Our table was so small. Good thing our server was so good and friendly. Overall, I would rate it 3 out of 5 (being the best) Also, they need to do something with their lights inside. We barely see the menu, it was dark in there. Jeez!
Appetizers and drinks were good. Wasnt much of a fan of the options for the entrees. Ordered the chargrilled and oyster Rockefeller, fried shrimp, crusted flounder, lobster roll, and fish tacos. Overall everything was good. Flounder didnt have much flavor. Customer service was great. Would definitely return for the oysters and drinks.
This place was recommended by all of my friends, and I finally decided that it was time to at-least see what they were talking about. I myself do not personally like oysters but the oysters I had last night were not only full of flavor the actual presentation of both the oysters, calamari, and the 12oz New York Strip Steak that I ordered was just incredible, the staff there were just incredibly nice and I had a great time.I also never thought that a sea-food restaurant would have such an incredible steak. I will definitely be returning but this was the best meal I have had in a really long time.
Dont be deceived by the strip mall location, this is a high-end restaurant. That being said, the food, service, and cocktails seem quite deserving of such a label. Our service was kind and quick, and the food was excellent. We came in with no reservation on a booked Friday night, and we were able to get a table outside by their heaters, which was very nice. You might spend a pretty penny, but I believe its worth it for a quality seafood experience in an otherwise barren wasteland.
Stopped by here after an activity with a friend. We were promptly greeted and seated. We did not have a reservation so it was great to just walk in and be seated on a Friday night.I server was Robert. He was great. Attentive, nice, knowledgeable. We order the chargrilled oysters( nice and big size) , shrimp egg rolls, ceased salad and the Cobb salad. Everything was delicious.Great ambiance , friendly staff and food was out quickly.
Its always a pleasure to dine here. The service is always A-1 and the food is just the same. The specials are always a great decision when trying to decide on what to eat. One of my favorites is the oyster Rockefeller with their signature hot sauce. And if you like a good cocktail this is definitely the place to get one. The Bartenders are great. My personal favorite is the filthy old fashioned!
Way overpriced for what you get but I’m just going to assume it was because it was Valentine’s Day, the menu online had twin lobster tails for $60 but when I went in it was $88My boyfriend sea bass was $75. Good but not worth the priceI should have took a picture of the menu but if these are the regular prices I’ll never go back. It was good but not the best. Now if the prices go back to what I saw online then I’ll try it again
I visited here and I must say the waiter was attentive. He gave us a run down on the menu. Every thing was delicious and fresh. We got for appetizers Shrimp Spring Rolls, RC Chargrilled Oysters, Jumbo Crab Cake. Entrees were Red Snapper and Branzino. Definitely will Return
I give it a four because of the drinks. But it would be a 3 if the drinks weren’t good. Thank you to Bartender Daniel. Actually we probably should have sat at the bar because it seems the experience would be a lot more vibey & warm.We mad a reservation on OpenTable. When we came in, we were surprised by how the silverware was arranged. Looks like it was thrown on the table or never tended to after the last party. In fact we asked them to set it, and our server and the host set them different way.She got the Afternoon in Provence. Perfecto. It complimented my food. Sweet. For it to be paired with vodka, she could barely taste it. Shoutout to the Bartender again. Normally we’d drink a wine with this, but this is an all the way around drink. It is belvedere vodka, st. Germain, pamplemousse rose, lemon juice, 18.21 lavender bitters. I got the Georgia On My mind. It was a sweet wood taste, definitely would have mistaken it for brown liquor. The Georgia on my mind is amaro montenegro, lofi genetian amaro, peche de vigne, peach purée, demerara and lemon.Server was Ashmal or something. He was very delightful and informative, however, kept talking over our drinks and food. And got sidetracked often. The setting of the restaurant is very cozy but, somewhat cluttered. The bar could have been more appealing with up lighting underneath the bar table. The chairs also didn’t really compliment the bar table. It looks dated. But in a good way, but also in a weird way lol.We are also doing this review while in the restaurant so it’s more accurate and accounted for.You can come here for drinks & social. Or for a quality meal/environment any day of the week. It was busy on a Monday, so I’d avoid this place on the weekends.I liked the charbroiled/grilled oysters, only because this is the closest I’ve had in Atlanta to New Orleans oyster. Good seasoning but not the best. They ran out of bread too and the server forgot to tell us. I also got 3 Chessawanock raw oysters. Very good. The horseradish cleared me out.My date likes the snapper. The snapper was very tender. It was blackened perfectly. The pairing of the food was a great combination and the seasoning definitely topped everything off. It had a sweet wood taste.Alright. Would we go back again? Yes for ambience and for the bartender, Daniel. The variety of raw oyster was good.Other than that nothing truly sold us.
It was awesome. My husband and I went for our Anniversary!! Our server Dewitt took his job very seriously. He was on it. The food and atmosphere was nice. I was a little overwhelmed when we 1st got there. It was so noisy! But the service and food made up for it. The charbroiled oysters and crab cake was on point. I wish it came with 2 instead of one. For the price 2 would be appreciated lol. I also wrote a review on Open table and the manager personally emailed me and thanked me for my review. Now that’s customer service right there!! We were so into our night I didn’t take pictures. Maybe the next time I go!!
Has been a tradition for the last 5 years. Each year we have put up with worsening service and outrageous prices for a few moments of enjoyable food. This year we arrived early for our reservation and sat at the bar for a few drinks. Two mediocre non top shelf drinks $51, not including tip. Finally seated - this year in the corner. Last year was near the bathrooms. We tolerated the abuse as long as possible last year and actually requested another waitstaff then. This year, We waited 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging our existence. No water, nothing! That’s my limit. Tired of paying top dollar to be abused. Will not be back. There are so many other places with better ambiance than being squished in like sardines that offer great food as well as great service. Would not recommend to anyone.
Great customer service, great staff, great environment, great food, an overall a great environment….I ordered the spring rolls w/ the lunch special which is called”The Daily Trio” everything was delicious…I will definitely be back again to explore the rest of the menu….
I had a fine dining experience at C&S Seafood & Oyster Bar. My main course was the Surf and Turf. My steak was medium well, dont judge, with the lobster tail. My sides were the asparagus and mushrooms. My steak was perfectly prepared and the lobster tail was fresh. However, the best part of my experience was the waiter and his service level was just right. I met college friends for a reunion and we spent several hours talking and catching up. He was there at the right times to refresh the wine and other requests. Great selection for special occasions or just enjoying your significant other on a date night. Definitely a jewel in Cobb county.
This is one of the few places in Atlantas restaurant surge (is that a thing?) that has a nice ambiance, service AND great food. It was my first time there so we ordered a bunch of stuff to try (lobster, oyster, snapper, shrimp, etc.) and everything was really good. Our server took a while bringing us the check and gave us a complimentary appetizer for the wait. I cant wait to go back!
Amazing food and service. My family went during Fourth of July weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The staff was wonderful and always checked on us. Our server, Dylan, was very friendly and constantly made sure we enjoyed our time. He recommended great dishes, and was very understanding even when we had to change an item. He gave us our oysters (which were tasty) on him. 10/10 will definitely visit again and ask for him
I’m a never come back customer. I know what a fun oyster, seafood, bar should feel like and this isn’t it. 4.5 on the James river oysters, but they were overpriced. Shrimp spring rolls tasted like they came out of the Costco frozen food section and overpriced. The fries were cold. The bartender had the attitude of annoyance, not helpful, and seemed burdened. The ambience of the restaurant is very dark and stoic, no positive fun energy going on. There are other oyster bars that serve great oysters with a fun bar and atmosphere, check them out not this place.
I loved the oysters. Very fresh and tasty. The service was kind of lackluster. And the environment made me think like an old Italian mob owned the restaurant and all the old Italian guys come for a drink and a chat at the bar. It was so loud in the restaurant with literal chatter. It wasn’t a bad atmosphere, just not exactly in tune with the menu. Steak was cooked PERFECTLY but lacked flavor. It tasted better when I added the salt and pepper from the table but jeez lol salt and pepper are basic seasonings that you would think would already be on the steak. Slow service. We almost completely finished our meal before we were brought our bottle of wine. We didn’t want to chug the bottle. We wanted to enjoy it throughout the meal. I would still come back. Maybe try a seafood entree since that’s their specialty.
Service was excellent! Food was ok. Started off with grilled oysters and clam chowder for the appetizers. Ordered the Scallops and the Snapper for an entree. The apps were great but the entrees lacked flavor. Overall the food was good (and pricey) but the drinks were great!
Millennia may have the name wrong. Waited on me and my daughter tonight 3rd time being my waiter. Afro American stout. Anyway. This is her second time charging me gratuity for 8 people when there was only 2. I let her slide last time, but not this time. Gregory wasn’t there for me to report her. I’m not sure what type of games these waiters are playing stealing from the customers . How? There isn’t even 8 seats at the oyster bar😩. Food was Yummy 5stars for the food
Food is amazing, hostess service is piss poor. I previously would frequent here once a week until I had reoccurring experiences where I watched other customers get seated before me…Even saw the manager pick his favorites/frequent customers to make sure they were properly accommodated. Tonight I walked in & was given a 6:45pm reservation as the hostess stated that’s what the system does. By 7pm i had watched everyone that walked in after me be seated. Understandable people have reservations, but communicate with your customers! The hostess kept watching me and then blatantly seating others. Once again love the food but this location will NEVER receive my money again. Will take the extended drive to a Sandy Springs ANYDAY, there service & attention to customers & detail is immaculate! :)
Not their best location. Our table was between the restroom and the kitchen, it was constant traffic. The bone marrow appetizer was delicious, probably the best appetizer aside from their octopus. The fish selection and freshness was great. We recommend booking a good table on the side walls or going in a group.
This little hidden gem in Sandy Springs was a true delight! Nestled in the corner of a shopping plaza, this place packs a punch! The food was AMAZING! I had the grilled sea bass and my husband had the grouper and they did not disappoint. The service was excellent from the host to the server to the manager speaking and ensuring everyones dinning experience was superb. Oh, and plenty of parking!
Bland food. No seasoning whatsoever! Will not be returning. The place is NOT worth the hype. Not sure if the second location is just as bad, but Im not willing to find out.But I will say that they have excellent service. The only good thing about my meal were my cocktails and fries. But my fries tasted just like Steak & Shake. 🤷🏾♀️
Sat at the bar. One of the least enjoyable bars we have been to in a long time. Bar is located between the kitchen entrance and front door.Food was hit or miss. Clam chowder was excellent. Bisque was think and lumpy. Not the worst bisque I have had, but close. Caesar salad was good but heavy dressing made it soggy quite quickly. Crab cake was delicious but mustard sauce on the side was somewhat flavorless.Overall it was underwhelming and over priced.
Our waiter Darren was super attentive and had us laughing. He had great knowledge of the food & wine. Nice atmosphere. The chargrilled oysters were great! As well as the spring shrimp rolls!🤑 my Cod fish was blackened with green beans and fingerling potatoes seasoned great! Fish cooked great! I felt the portion was too small.
We were seated right away in a corner table with a view of the whole restaurant. Our server was able to explain everything on the menu. They serve Hilstons Still water here. Love Hilstons. Our meal was excellent but plating seemed like something was missing. Other than that everything was fresh and well seasoned.
Came to this location for dinner. Had reservations also. We were seated within 5 mins. Everyone was very attentive and polite. Our waitress was also familiarized with the menu and food/drink items. We did ask questions and she answered them very well. We started off with shrimp spring rolls. Didn’t do any “drinks” this night, just 2 Coca Colas. The spring rolls were great. Could’ve eaten another round. Our entrees were both jumbo shrimp, one fried and one grilled, sides were green beans and truffle fries and spinach and whipped potatoes. The food was also great. I would not get the green beans again, they were missing something like salt or garlic..something, just a bit bland not as flavorful but still good to where I ate them and maybe no lt get the fries. They are shoestring fries...with that being said they do go from hot to cold fast. Prices were decent here. Also no refills and filtered water also. We would definitely be back. Would like the try items on the lunch menu.
The experince was so so. Wifes fish was to salty and my broiled shrimp was to crunchy. The oysters were fabulous. Go for oysters you wont be disappointed but the remainder of the dishes served are not worth the money. I give it 3 of five Pinocchios because I cant tell a lie.
Poor service! I would have loved to try this restaurant but unfortunately will not be coming at all. I called in to place a to go order and was put on hold for over 15 min and was transferred a few times. Alex the manager was not interested in making things better as I told him the staff should all be equipped to take an order. He explained that they arent a to go order restaurant and brushed off me being placed on hold for over 15 min as if there was nothing wrong. I understand busy moments but not when its over 15 min. Thats poor management and poor customer service. Ill go to Marcel, The Optimist or Poor Calvins
This was one of the best Oyster Bars we’ve dined at in Georgia while vacationing and celebrating my daughters HBD. The meals were divine, cocktails were very tasty & strong just the way we liked them and service from staff was pleasant & very professional. We’ll return again during our next visit.😍
We made a reservation here to celebrate my Aunt’s special 70th birthday over two weeks in advance and they ran out almost all of their primary food options before 7:00pm! They had NO SHRIMP, NO CRAB, NO CRAB CAKES, NO STEAK, NO CALAMARI and several other primary options. While our waiter was top notch, the management acted as if this was customary and stated verbatim, “ We still have food”. Children had to leave, and many could not eat the options available. Poor management, and poor planning to be considered nothing other than low-level dining. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Terrible.
This was somewhat of a hidden treasure. Its tucked away in the shopping complex near the Kroger, but was a super pleasant surprise. The service was superb. We were greeted with warm smiles and a quick conversation. We were seated within about a minute of arriving. Our server knew the menu front ways and back. He made excellent recommendations for appetizers, dinner, drinks and desserts. All the food was marvelous! Cant wait to come back. If you find this review helpful, please press like below.
I really enjoyed this oyster bar in Atlanta, it definitely had a nice upscale feel and the service was amazing along with the food. Perfectly seared scallops and fresh oysters were definitely worth the price. My favorite was the grilled oysters, perfectly seasoned and NOT overcooked just a perfect combination. A definite revisit on my next trip.
Cass and I went here on Valentine’s day. We had Freddie was our server.. Let me tell you.. This man is awesome. He was knowledgable about the options, had quick recommendations when I asked, he was funny/witty, and genuine. The service he provided was top tier and went above and beyond. We ate the Ahi Tuna. Cass loves potatoes so she had the whipped potatoes and fingerlings. She loved them. I had mushrooms underneath my seared rare Ahi Tuna and Truffle fries. He was also thoughtful and made a fun after meal that we loved. The food was really good! I recommend Freddie as your server and check out this place for a nice date. Just make sure you make reservations and expect it to be priced as you would expect a high valued sea food restaurant would be.
OMG. Where do I begin? This is definitely the best seafood restaurant I’ve ever been too in Atlanta. I had to take time out to review the delicious food and service. Atlanta Fish Market doesn’t even compare to the delicious food we had here. My husband decided at the last minute we should try C&S but there were no reservations at either location off Cumberland or in Sandy Springs. We decided to test out luck anyway. The amazing hostess was able to quickly find seats for us at the bar. Although this was quite comfortable, my husband asked her about an empty 2-person booth that he’d been watching for about 20 minutes. Even with a full house, she allowed us to move to the booth. I hate I didn’t get her name as she was super amazing. Let me talk about this food. Chargrilled Oysters……the best dish ever. I mean everything was absolutely delicious. I’m not sure how we missed visiting this place sooner. We’ll definitely be back and this time make reservations ahead of time.
The first photo is of the blackened aka burnt Branzino they brought out after 30-40mins. The manager smh she hardly apologized and said theyd cook another and didnt offer anything - appetizer/drink, nothing while I had to wait and watch my friend eat because I didnt want her dinner to get cold. The tuna appetizer was done well. Honestly not much to say about this place - decent dwelling, nice wait staff, subpar dining experience - you can go elsewhere for less and better.I personally would not return or recommend any of my colleagues from Mercedes or friends. Poor management is never good, it trickles down.
Hands down the best and most fresh seafood I have ever eaten. The chargrilled oysters were amazingly delicious. I could go back and eat just those. I ordered the scallops blackened, my friend had the branzino, and other the seabass. All great choices. Everything was delicious. I would go back once a week if I lived closer. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it. 10 🌟
This is my 3rd time coming here and the last.. I dont know if they changed management from my last visit. ARNOLD who claimed to be the general manager was ghetto, classless and very rude..I went back to get my forgotten jacket, Arnold attacked me when I asked if he worked there saying I spoke to you out there, how can you say you dont know me* I jokingly laughed thinking he was just messing with me. After searching and not findingmy jacket, I came back to see if they found it,Arnold yelled at me saying we dont need you jacket, you had an attitude earlier, you had an attitude when you made the reservation, get out I own this place we argued back and forth, he was loud to the hearing of other customers and didnt care. MCDONALDS would have given a better customer service. I dressed up forclassy dinner and very disappointed. food portion is terribly small with uncultured GM.. will never return here
We dined at C&S last night for my birthday. What a wonderful dining experience it was! I ordered the 1 pound fried lobster tail special and it was the best lobster Ive ever eaten (I lived on Terceira Island in the Azores, Portugal and had access to freshly caught lobsters, so I know my lobster!) Im not sure how we got so lucky to have Johnny as our waiter. We enjoyed his sweet & bubbly personality, his helpfulness about our food and drink order questions and his all around friendliness. He really made our celebration extra special. I highly recommend C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar.
Misleading information on the website, arrogant bartender and useless manager, who were not willing to correct their own errors in order to satisfy the customer. We had very unpleasant overall impression and would not recommend the Vinings location to anyone who wants to spend a lot of money on fancy dinner.
I have always been a fan of C & S!!!! I must share my experience at the Vinings location...Shameka our server made my night-so attentive, knowledgeable about the food & drinks but just all around COOL!!!! You can tell she enjoys her job which is rare these days....& my chargrilled Oysters always a hit....Thank you
Ate here last night. Wasn’t crowded so we were seated immediately. The waiter and overall service was fantastic. We had the chargrilled oysters and the ahi tuna tar tar for starters. Along with a half dozen of their fresh oysters. Wife had the special which was a Cajun inspired redfish dish. I got the sea bass over asparagus and mashed potatoes with lump crab meat on top. They also have a great cocktail menu and both our drinks were on point. Had the creme brûlée for desert. Everything and I mean everything was fantastic. Really enjoyed this place. Hard to believe this place is so close to a grocery store. Highly recommend this place if you like seafood. They also have some prime steaks as well if you want the surf and turf. If you enjoyed this review please click the like button. Thank you!
Food was great. Fresh oysters, clam chowder and the trout dip was delicious. Drinks are good with top shelf liquor. Came without reservations on a Friday night around 730pm and no tables were available for 40 minutes. Luckily someone left at the bar so we ordered from the full menu there. Bartender was informative about foods and drinks. Oysters fresh and great selection.
Such high expectations and so so disappointed. C&S came highly recommended and I was longing for some good New Orleans style seafood, but was sadly mistaken.Started with a bowl (cup) of Shrimp & Andouille gumbo... nice dark roux, but the shrimp were very small and cold. I told the manager and they quickly brought me and cup. They anxiously threw it in the microwave because the serving bowl was hot and the shrimp were now hot, but chewy.I asked about the “RC’s Chargrilled Oysters”. The waiter assured me that they were Apalachicola gulf oysters so I took a chance. They turned out to be the smallest oysters I have ever seen, over cooked and absolutely horrible presentation with oysters thrown on a stark white plate with zero garnish. It’s a shame because the service was great and loved the restaurant.
Put C&S on your list! Celebrated my husbands retirement dinner and we received exceptional service and an amazing dining experience. Everything was delectable.....from the best New England clam chowder, mouthwatering crab cakes, fresh oysters, sea bass, soft shell crab and veggies it was a delicious experience. We will visit again.
This was my first time dining here. Nice, cozy atmosphere. I wouldnt take the kids though. Our server was Romell (Alex). I enjoyed speaking with him and he helped to make the experience a good one.Disclaimer: My hubby has been a chef for over 15 years so its common for us to go to a restaurant and critique a lot.PROS: Intimate atmosphere. Oysters are delicious!!!!!!!! $1 Oysters on Thursdays. $35 Lobster brunch on Sundays with all sorts of extras, oh and a live band too!! My friend said that the gumbo was good too.CONS: Bread was cold and hard (but I think its supposed to be that way), Personally, the table wasnt turned fast enough. I wanted to try the special (sea bass) but I dont think the server took me seriously when I said ooh, I want that! It never came and by the time I mentioned it, it was time for dessert and I didnt want to wait. BUT, he made up for it with his great personality. Ill be back VERY soon....like, this week 😉
C&S is one of those places where you go for amazing oysters, fresh seafood and wonderful customer service...amazing experience every time. This day was all about the flame grilled oysters and raw oyster special. A reservation is key but not necessary depending on time of the day.
My girlfriend and I went to the one in Sandy Springs and our expectations were blown out of the water. The food was the best we had ever had! Cylde was our waiter and he provided the BEST service either of us have ever experienced! He made us feel like we were the only table he was waiting on. Thank you Clyde for our amazing experience. We will be back again!
My husband and I have dined there several times, which we had a good experience! But last week we went for his birthday dinner. The food wasn’t as good. Raise their prices, and removed something’s off the menu. The bread was hard as rock. Prices are higher on their restaurants menu Than the website menu
We came in on a Friday night at peak hours without a reservation, but it was a phenomenal experience from beginning to end! They were totally booked for the night and my husband and I decided to to wait for places at the bar. The hostess was super nice and very accommodating! She let us know when there were spots at the oyster bar. The appetizers, entrees, dessert, and cocktails were all delicious! Crystal, our server, was the best. We didn’t tell anyone it was our anniversary, but someone must have overheard us and everyone working there made it a point to congratulate us. It was an all around great experience and we will definitely be back when we are in the area.
We had to order our second dinner here due to a terrible togo food from another location near by this restaurant, the tog food and portion were excellent, not too big and definitely not a kids meal size, the boxing of the food flavor and all were excellent. We will be back for dine in, excellent experience.
Simply delightful! My person and I came over Labor Day weekend. The atmosphere was upscale and the Team especially Miraca our server was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We ordered the jumbo crab cake which made love to my taste buds. Then followed up with the roasted shellfish platter for 2.The chef really did a number with this meal!Four drinks and dessert later! This is most definitely our new seafood place when in Atlanta
Between their 3 locations been 7 times, first two were good, after that it was downhill. Last time I had stuffed shrimp which was four little shrimp and a teaspoon of crabmeat. The shrimp tasted like they were frozen out of bag and the mashed potatoes were bland, no taste.
The atmosphere was nice. The food was good. I ordered the shrimp with 2 sides. The shrimp was not jumbo like it advertised and it was about 1 tablespoon of whipped potatoes. The price wasnt bad just make sure you order a salad and bread too. I was still hungry when I left! I would go back but not when I am really hungry!
I really really wanted to like this place. I, along with my two friends went last night to celebrate a birthday. The first sign that, we might be in trouble was when our drinks came out look warm. Who serves a Luke warm sidecar and a martini. We informed our sever who apologized and returned with two more slightly Luke warm drinks. (15 minutes had gone by and only two of the drinks were served). We then had the char grilled oysters and calamari, which were both delicious. Two of us then ordered twin lobster tails and two sides of vegetables and my friend ordered the sea bass. OMG the food was so salty, that it was beyond enjoyable. We immediately notified the front man of the house Arnold, who apologized and said we were not the first table tonight to tell him that and that he just told the chef to lay off the salt. He then asked if we wanted to send the food back. This is where we went wrong, we declined. One, we had been there over an hour already and just gotten our food and secondly, I’m always hesitant to send food back for fear of an upset chef doing something to my food. Arnold apologized again and brought our table three shots of a colder tequila beverage. It was a nice gesture and at the time we tried to make the best of it. To my surprise, after sending our half eaten plates back, our $300 bill came. So the restaurant acknowledged that there was an issue and comped us $6 dollar shots. Waisted evening with friends who haven’t seen each other in over ten years, waisted time and more importantly a waste of $300 on a meal that they should have been too embarrassed to serve yet alone leave on our table with permission. Woke up this morning wanting to leave a comment because I’m still annoyed. Sure, things happen, but how you finish Is what matters and they failed us miserably. Very unfortunate…..
I was on a hunt for oysters and had already been to two other seafood restaurants that didn’t have any. So I called C & S and low and behold, they had some! The manager and waiter Alex were nothing short of amazing. The manager greeted me with such generosity and Alex was very pleasant. Due to the great dining experience, C&S will be the ONLY place I choose to come to for all of my seafood cravings!
Unfortunately, I’d like to leave 5 stars but I can not and I will not. The server I unfortunately got placed with was Adrian (he’s the older AA guy). He was not 10/10. More like 2/10. Not only did he not say you’re welcome whenever I said thank you, but he gave me an attitude when I asked on the status of my 4oz drink that I ordered 10+ minutes prior. He said “it’s coming, it has to be made” (followed by other words that I can’t remember verbatim) Then, had the nerve to continue talking making more comments, as he was walking off toward the bar.My drink did not HAVE to be made, my drink had been sitting on the bar already made, getting watered down. Why do you think I asked? Adrian was too busy laughing and conversing with other guest that he forgot about my drink order. The drink was disgusting so my comrade ordered me a different one.Adrian then proceeded to walk over to the cashiers computer, and begin TALKING about me with another coworker (a bald, short AA, young boy). This occurred only about 2 feet away from me. So not only did I hear him but I watched with my own eyes, the other guy he was talking to, look back at me at least 4 times as Adrian was talking to him.ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I have never been treated like that before in my life. Was he mad because I did not like the drink? I’m so confused. Talking about your customers 2 feet away from them… bad move. The final straw… we ordered 2 orders of boiled lobster tails, and Adrian told them fried because he came to the table with 2 orders of fried lobster after we told him boiled. I said he did that on purpose, for sure. I will never in my life, come to this establishment again, especially if I have to be served by the same gentleman. I was going to leave a near $0 tip, due to the sordid service, but my comrade insisted on leaving something more, so he paid for the tip. He’s crazy if he thought I was paying someone for that kind of service. Money was not the issue, lack of morals were. 0 STARS.
Really wasn’t expecting much at a seafood restaurant on a Monday night (especially since I’m from Florida and have pretty high expectations). However, C&S has a delightful atmosphere, beginning with the very welcoming manager, Arnold. Patrons all around were having a good time and the music was upbeat without being overpowering. Then our server, Freddy, showed up and his witty comments made even our college-bound son smile! He made suggestions on what to share—and what not to share but to keep!—and he was spot on with everything. Shrimp cocktail was fresh and tasty, specials of blackened grouper delicious—but hands down the best was the NY strip steak our 6’5” son ordered! Yes, I said a steak—at a seafood place. I had the C&S Smash and it was memorable. Glad to be in Marietta now with a solid dining option.
Hands Down The Best Seafood weve had in Atlanta!Tuna Tar Tar, Char Grilled Oysters, King Salmon, Ahi Tuna, everything was cooked so well, nice presentations, awesome service. Chefs sauce recommendation also a win. The place is little loud inside during weekend prime time, but they do have a a nice area out side with heaters if youre looking for somewhere more quiet. We may go again tonight, sooooo freaking good!!!
Worst seafood I have ever had. Service was poor, it took 45 minutes for 2 dishes with sides they already have prepared; potatoes & green beans. Whoever the cook was, preparing a Meunière sauce was not their specialty. This sauce was offered on the menu, but our shrimp and grouper were overcooked and bland. The butter burnt and the fish looked charred. Shouldn’t that be chef 101, butter will burn quickly. No flavor at all. The worst gumbo I have ever had, lacking in flavor. The gumbo had 1 piece of sausage and they just added shrimp on top, I could not force myself to eat it, thankfully the waiter took it off the bill. Even the salad was bland. Had to add black pepper to get some flavor. Maybe they have great oysters, but they advertise as seafood & oyster bar. Was not worth it at all. Will not return ever.
The food is phenomenal. Its the first place Ive experienced in my 13 years in Atlanta that has seafood as fresh and wonderfully tasty as here! In addition to the great seafood, friends have loved their steaks! They look fabulous, but I wont partake. I dont eat beef. Lol. My favorite bartender is Tess -- Her memory is incredible! She remembered what I ordered from the menu my first time there, even though it was about a month prior. She had no idea that Id ever return! Not many could do that! 🙂
My daughter recommended C & S Seafood Atlanta location and we were not disappointed. First, the restaurant was adhering to Covid guidelines and precautions. We loved the shrimp spring rolls and the pan seared flounder was perfectly prepared! Our server, Dewitt was amazing, very attentive! We look forward to our next visit!
First time here and the food tasted fresh and was delicious! We had the chargrilled and Rockefeller oysters which were amazing so much so we ordered another round lol and I had the clam chowder which was rich and creamy! For dinner, I had the grilled grouper and my boyfriend had the blackened salmon. We will definitely be going back!
Dined here back in August 2020, but forgot to leave a review. Why has no one mentioned the stuffed lobster tails?! Oh my God, they were absolutely amazing! I ate the tiniest, slowest bites ever because I didn’t want to run out of that scrumptious entree! I cannot wait to return, simply to order them again! They were not listed on the menu to my knowledge, you just have to ask for it though. It definitely needs to be listed on the menu. The oysters and scallops were good as well. The sides were nothing noteworthy (sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes). I didn’t finish all my food, so I didn’t order a dessert. There was complimentary bread that was good as well. GET THE STUFFED LOBSTER TAILS!
We were visiting from out of town & decided to go here from a friends recommendation. The service was fantastic! The wait staff was completely dialed in and shared in helping each other throughout dinner. They all moved well and in sync. It was closer to a fine dining experience, and although a little pricey, not as expensive, and attire was still fairly casual. The food was amazing and the Charbroiled oysters are a MUST for appetizer! Definite recommend!
Very nice restaurant overall as far as ambiance and service. I thought I was in for a treat but I was so highly disappointed because we paid $46 for the smallest 12 oysters I have ever seen. I’m an oyster lover, I was so excited because I thought I was going to an oyster bar to get my fill. I’m so sorry I didn’t take a picture but I think I was so shocked and disappointed. We ate the gumbo and truffle tries which was ok. So if you are going there for great oysters I would have to say it’s a hard NO!
The food and service was excellent. My wife and I have always enjoyed our meals here. The staff were all wearing mask. My only hang up was the crowd. It felt exactly like the last time we were there and that was before covid. This didnt set will with me. It will probably be a while before we go back.
The 4 star rating is based on the food only. We ordered take out. I had the grilled salmon which was prepared as requested. The scallops, calamari and tuna tartare were superb! My father in-law didn’t care for the gumbo but he said the clam chowder was very good. Looking forward to dining on their patio in the future. Definitely worth trying!!
Let me first start with our waiter was great so this is not a reflection on them directly. We were a large party and I know that can be tricky. My crab had spots that tasted freezer burnish on it which was very disappointing. The second issue I have is that the Blackboard stated market price was $65, however all 5 members of our party were charged $70. I feel we should have been charged the price that it was listed or change your Blackboard! Two members of our party had the halibut and both complained that it was way too salty, they also said that there was a very hot spice and they would get bites with no heat and then randomly get a bite that was so hot they would cry. I feel like the food was brought out to the table in a disorderly fashion and I wasnt able to get a single bite of food with all the necessary accompaniment until it was cold. Also I ordered a side of the veggie rice and it came extremely dried out and bland. The Creme brulee was excellent. While this appeared to be a very nice restaurant I feel like they just kind of missed the mark with us this evening.
My husband and I had a wonderful meal at C & S Seafood, our favorite restaurant. Everyone wore masks and the tables were a safe distance apart. Our server was very attentive. But the highlight was our meal which was cooked to perfection. I had the Sea Bass special and my husband had the Grouper. Also the Charbroiled Oysters were amazing. The restaurant is so pretty inside and we always feel like we have been somewhere very special when we dine at this restaurant.
Waiter, Darrin, was awful. Did not get anything done in a timely manner. Not only did he forget to put our order in, he got the order wrong. He was all over the place. The food was not good. My fiancé got the risotto and it was the worst we’ve ever had. Would not recommend.
Went on a Friday around 5p for a dinner date. It was amazing. Our server, John or Johnny (sp?) was awesome! His suggestions were perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our appetizer, the chargrilled oysters. Definelyyyyyyy recommend. Our entrees were phenomenal as well. I had grilled mahi mahi with the soy ginger glaze and my bf had the crab stuffed flounder. Please do yourself a favor and make a reservation.
This place was phenomenal! From the tine we stepped in the door, they took care of us. We were celebrating ladies elevating and boy did they accommodate our rowdy selves. The food, my God, the food was thumbs up across the board! Loooved the charbroiled oysters! Took me back to the N.O. nothing but smiles. Thank you Mr. Arnold!
This restaurant and its staff are phenomenal. The Chilean sea bass is my favorite and the cocktails are awesome. Definitely worth the price. Kyle was also a great waiter. We really enjoyed him. The oyster are awesome and they have oyster specials on Thursday nights!!!
Absolutely great service and delicious food. Husband surprised me with a visit to this fine establishment. Sade was our waitress extraordinaire and was most attentive. The manager came by our table multiple times to check in us. We had the c and s oyster cups, the Salmon and Halibut and everything was cooked perfectly. I would definitely be back and will recommend this place to fam and friends!!!
We had a table of 12 people to celebrate a very special occasion; we made reservations weeks in advance. The appetizers were delicious - I had the oysters Rockefeller and the oysters on the half shell. The wait staff was absolutely amazing until... we waited a very long time for our entrees to be delivered to the table but the manager rectified the situation immediately. I will return and recommend this establishment - the food is delicious.
I absolutely loved this place, it was my birthday and the food was absolutely amazing. The server was so kind and thoughtful, I really appreciate this type of service. I ordered the sea-bass and it was absolutely cooked to perfection, I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a perfect evening. Dont be fooled - just because its near a Kroger doesnt mean its any-less good. This place is a hidden gem.
Alec is THE BEST!!!!!! I am BIG on customer service. He was attentive. He checked on us. He recommended Excellent raw oysters and the drinks were strong! Very nice place. My second time here and Alec will keep me coming back. My salmon was cooked to perfection. Compliments to the chef. I have and will continue to recommend this place. Pricey but worth it. Thank you C&S!
Very impressed! Really awesome to have a place of this caliber so close to home and away from the traffic and valet parking issues of downtown or Buckhead.Easy reservation Sunday night, easy parking, warm greeting and friendly patrons enjoying themselves and their dining companions with the pleasant subtle sound of jazz in the background. People seem to dress to compliment the level of food and service although attire definitely not something to stress over. The SERVICE!Server Johnny was Flawless! Far exceeded expectations! Great food suggestions and admirable old school work habits much appreciated from such a young guy (flatware replacement, table checks etc). Class!!Had broiled oysters (still simmering upon presentation) tuna tar tar (craveable), crab/lobster salad (shared it, server had it plated for 2 ) Crab stuffed flounder, blackened sea bass (highly recommend the soy chili sauce) and two desserts (both shareable). Bread was good too (not sure if you have to request it). NO complaints, fresh, perfectly prepared and proper temps.Pleasantly surprised at our bill. No up charge for salad split, no up charge for side substitutions (dont know if it was an omission but I offered to pay) and a dessert substitution was complimentary!Note - I phoned ahead and asked about covid precautions. I have reduced immunity and have been stunned at the disregard at other restaurants. I really appreciate the restaurants honesty. Basically the restaurant is doing everything they control (sanitation, distancing, masks, dividers) and the clientele was conscientious. I was warned it may be a different experience on a busy Fri/Sat night (potential congestion at hostesses stand etc) so keep that in mind.
My boyfriend and I went there for dinner last night. We chose this place based on the reviews. We’re a young military couple, and we were severely under dressed. We had an amazing experience. I want to start by saying I truly appreciated our waiter. Normally servers are rude to young couples because they think we don’t tip. He treated us with the same respect and attentiveness as everyone else. Aside from that, the food was amazing!!! The oysters Rockefeller was delicious. My boyfriend had the swordfish and I had the jumbo shrimp. The only thing that fell a little flat was the desert, but they made up for it in excellent service. It’s is very pricey, but I say you have to pay for quality. I will definitely be going back.
My husband made reservations for me here for my 41st bday...its was Devine!!! Everyone was nice, professional and attentive. The food was so flavorful and delicious. The drinks were on point and the charbroiled oysters was my absolute favorite.I loved them so much I went back the next day for a double order. You cant miss with this place. A great spot for a date if you dont mind spending a little more...but its totally worth it.
I have lived nearby for almost a year now and have been interested in this place for a while. I decide to take a friend of mine and see what it was about, and I am beyond impressed. From our exceptional server to the delicious food to the warm atmosphere every part of our evening was inviting. The lobster cocktail was succulent, the salmon one of the most delicious dishes I have ever enjoyed, and the scallops were cooked to perfection. Our drinks were delightful, especially the sparkling rosé, and desert continued to impress. From the first foot in the door to the last foot out our experience was exceptional, and I cant wait to return again.
Update: Lost a star because of this bad experience... I usually eat outside but today I chose for the 1st time to eat at the bar. My friend and I came in and told a 30 minute wait. I looked at the bar and saw 4 seats available 3 together. We were told those seats were reserved. Leaving this lady got up and said you can have my seat next to the other one seat. Great now we can sit. Upon doing so the bartender said these seats are reserved and the people are not here. I said on one of your busiest nights 5*+chairs are reserved at your var.... let me talk to your manager. Manager never came we wereInteresting experience. Food was good, nice drinks. Great waiters. Couple incidents Im raising an eyebrow about. But I will go back and hopefully and add another star.
The restaurant gets 5 stars! Our server, however, brings it down a bit. My husband and I were celebrating my birthday because no matter how old I get, it will always be a big deal. So of course we had to wine and dine. Due to my recent cravings in this pandemic, we decided we were going to go to out after having to be inside for so long. So my husband discovered this cute little place to surprise me with seafood! The atmosphere was wonderful. The staff was great. Then we get our server who started off as great! At first. Perhaps it was something we said that made him decide we werent worthy of the same level of service as everyone else around us. Once we ordered our appetizers, he kind of disappeared. We got all of our appetizers and we ate all of our appetizers with the menus on the table. Then we waited. Eventually, I caught him walking by and asked if he was going to take our main course order. I do believe had he checked on us the way he checked on all of his other tables, he might have noticed that we were waiting to finish ordering. My husband noticed the same thing. The rest of the time was the same. He kept our waters refilled, but we figured he was going through the motions with us. He was polite, but the host was much more the kind of person we would have liked to have as our server. He was super awesome and seemed genuine. He checked on us several times and had a great personality. Our waiter walked by our table several times and barely checked on us. Now had he done the same with everyone else it wouldnt be a big deal. But watching everyone else get catered to on an outstanding level and we get the basic stuff and forgotten, well it makes you scratch your head and look at the differences. Perhaps its was my husbands awful dad jokes. Perhaps he figured we didnt have money and didnt deserve the same level of treatment. Eitherway, he did his job. So we tipped the basic level for basic service. We will come back again one day, but when we do, we will take someone else. The rest of the staff was great, and made up for his slack.
Ask for Freddie!! Second time dining at C&S seafood with my boyfriend and while both experiences have been incredible, Freddie offered great service and impeccable food recommendations. This has easily become our new favorite restaurant. We will definitely be dining here again!
Amazing dining experience. Great upscale atmosphere with a relaxed, comfortable quality. The seafood is fresh and cooked to perfection. Our waiter was friendly, knew the menu and even though we came in 5 minutes before the kitchen was closing, accommodated us to our liking. The price is on par for fresh seafood, the cheapest entree will be around $25 but it is all well worth it. The portions might look somewhat small at first but once you start eating you realize it is much more than it seems.Great spot for a date, will definitely be returning and recommending to others.
Ive been coming to C&S Seafood off and on for more than ten years. Sadly, during that time Ive noticed a continual decline of service quality. At first, it was small things that did not really bother me, no longer get a dark napkin when you wear darker pants or no longer asking your name at the host stand then addressing you by name at your table. Then I began noticing more mistakes and less consideration, overcrowded tables with empty plates. Today I sat through my lunch with no spoon for my soup and without a single visit from my waiter. The person who brought us our food did not say a word but would not set our plates down until we stacked empty appetizer plates, bread plates, and the bread basket on top of one another to make room. We then sat too long waiting to pay our bill and leave. I would have different expectations at a restaurant with a different atmosphere, food quality, and price (or even if it was busy). The food quality and kitchen still seem great, and I enjoy the other C&S restaurants. However, what really impressed me first with this restaurant and kept me coming here was a pride in service that I miss and wish would come back.
1st timer, Went for my bday. The food was Excellent! As well as the drink and service! We had 2 orders of the grilled oysters , so delicious. The octopus and filet were cooked perfectly. Alec took care of us. He is an amazing waiter. Arnold is an excellent GM. Thank you for adding to my perfect evening! Cant wait to come back.
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and the food was great. Our waiter Brian was excellent and very knowledgeable of the specials and menu. We started off with the shrimp spring rolls (delicious) He had the prime rib eye steak with whipped potatoes and i had the lamb chops with whipped potatoes and lemon garlic spinach. Its a little pricey but definitely worth every penny!
My food was amazing!! However my server at the bar, Kyle, gave us straws on 2 separate occasions with his bare hands. Putting his hands directly over the mouth area of the straw and sticking them in our drinks. I quickly just took them out and asked for another one from the other server. Looking back I should have said something but I was enjoying my time with my friend too much to fuss. Please train your staff better.
I absolutely enjoyed everything . Our waitress recommended a Sauvignon Blanc of a Ga native and it was very delightful. Food was amazing and the grilled oysters are the best . Not sure if the people at the bar were 6ft away or not but the tables were. Our waitress Mireca was very attentive and welcoming and we will be back to see her and for another round of the oysters for sure . Hopefully the Sauvignon Blanc stays on the menu!
I am so late with this review however, my husband and I had the pleasure of a romantic Valentines (Anniversary) dinner here. First we couldn’t get reservations but I sent Arnold the manager an email and he made sure we had a great time for dinner and a very comfortable and romantic booth all while stopping by to make sure everything was going well. The food, staff, drinks and just everything was so on point and perfect even with a very busy night and crowd. We will be returning 😘😘😘
I love the food and the atmosphere. First time I went to a C&S restaurant was to the C&S on the Crabapple street, it is so sad they are closed now 😢. We missed our server Matt, we were hoping to see him at this C&S. However, the serves at this C&S were awesome and we had a good time. The food was delicious too. Well come back.

2022-06-01The best experience. We didnt have a reservation, but they accommodated us. Melina, our server, was top tier. The Oysters Rockefeller was amazing. The Crab Cakes were so good and hearty, 95% lump crab is false, 98%. The drinks were really good. Took a slice of cheesecake home and so glad I did. It was melt in your mouth, divinity.5 🌟 experience.

2022-03-12Ok! So I didnt look at the photos posted but when my friends and I walked in we were so surprised with the ambiance of the place. You couldnt tell from the outside that the inside would be slightly fancy. We went during lunch but I can see this being a nice place for a date night. Our waitress was very good, she kept a smile on her face and the manager came and checked up on us as well. The food portions were smaller than I imagined they would be but I was full. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and it was BUTTER! Both of friends had King Salmon and they were satisfied as well. I will definitely be back to visit.

2022-03-30The service is wonderful, your waiter will be an absolute pleasure and the food will make you come back. I would suggest going on a Thursday because they give you a dozen oysters for the same price as a half dozen. On this particular visit I sat outside and it wasn’t as noisy as inside which was nice.

2022-07-04Best chargrilled oysters! I always get wonderful service. Pricey but worth every cent. The sea bass and the snapper are so fresh and cooked perfectly. You have to get the potatoes and Brussels sprouts as sides.

2021-09-05My birthday dinner treat, wonderful selection. The service was phenomenal and the food was great. The oyster options were good but not many large ones. The octopus appetizer is worth a try if you like octopus, cooked well! The entrees were delicious. The indoor ambiance isn’t the best but definitely worth a visit if you want to have a nice meal with good service!

2022-05-18I’m only giving 4 stars instead of 5 since they do not have the same happy hour or seafood options as their newer Sandy Springs Location.10/10 on location parking is going to be available.Service is always on point.Arnold is a phenomenal manager that keeps things running smooth and remembers guest by name/face.With both patio, indoor seating & bar seating it’s good for all seasons. Note* no ceiling fans on the patio for summer.Dinner menu is always a HIT lunch menu contains items like their Hanger Steak Sandwich that is for sure a MISS.With a variety of oyster that can come grilled, broiled or blackened w/ options changing on the regular a smooth jazz ambiance, I’m at home here on any given day of the week.

2022-03-09Love coming here! The oysters are fresh and full of flavor. I recommend asking for their hot sauce as it pairs perfectly with the oysters! The duck fat fingerling potatoes and carrots are a perfect side for every meal.

2021-09-23I came for my birthday, very impress with my food and the service. The atmosphere of the overall restaurant was perfect. My waiter she was very friendly & patient with us, as we placed our orders and asked questions! The food was well season and very tasty, wish I could rate more than five stars. I really enjoyed myself, hope to return soon.

2022-02-13We decided to have a dinner celebrating our 1-year wedding anniversary at C&S. Despite arriving 30 minutes late to our reservation we were still seated promptly & without delay upon arrival. The chargrilled oysters & jumbo lump crab cake are must-have appetizers. Our entrées were the NY Strip Steak & the Grouper. The steak was grilled to medium-rare perfection and the grouper was equally delicious pan-seared and served over a lobster & corn risotto. We decided to forego dessert despite some truly tempting offers and head back to our hotel for the night. Our server had our leftovers boxed & bagged within moments, and made us feel happy to leave a generous tip. If we had one word of caution about our evening is that the food is as pricey as it is delicious so patrons should be prepared to pay for a fine dining experience. Truly, we had a lovely evening at C&S worthy of such a special occasion.
