I don’t usually give reviews but I am in such disbelief of the lack of professionalism that the doctors at this office display. My mother has been a relatively healthy person her whole life so when she complains about something hurting or being wrong it typically is. My mother went to Capri Medical trusting the medical opinions of Dr. Carl and Prima Foster. She was met with a lack of compassion and medical incompetence. My mother has visited and called their office multiple times seeking answers that Doctor Foster promised he would research. My mother never got an answer from him. On my mother’s last visit to the office the Doctor Prima was very careless and rudely told my mother why is she still coming there all because my mom was concerned that she wasn’t receiving answers. On top of my mother’s horrible experience my grandmother also was treated my Dr. Carl Foster the day she was experiencing breathing pains for a heart attack. Dr. Carl Foster recommended her an inhaler and sent her home while she was having a heart attack! I would definitely not recommend this office. If you want your health to be taken seriously and have doctors that actually know what they are talking about go to another doctor!
My first (and so far, only) visit was about two weeks ago. I dont get sick a lot but a mystery illness had me down. I had been to another urgent care location a couple of days before and they had sent me on my way after only talking to me... no tests or any real diagnosis at all. The folks at Capri took my situation much more seriously and were very professional. They even stayed after closing time to complete my care. I also got a follow up telephone call a couple of days later to see how I was doing. My condition improved after the visit (I wont provide the medical details). I have no complaints and will certainly consider going back the next time I have a medical need. Thanks for the good work.
I cant recommend this clinic. Ive been here four times after being injured at work and twice Ive had a follow up appointment first thing when the doors open, and both times Ive ended up waiting at least half an hour to be seen for (very perfunctory!) examinations. The first time I came, which Ill admit was a walk-in, I was waiting for over three hours. That seems to be about the norm. Friendly people, but that doesnt make up for the hemorrhaging of time.
Yesterday after church I was blessed to have a long conversation with Nicole the Immunotherapy Program Coordinator. She was such a blessing. She took so much time explaining Immunotherapy and how it would benefit my children and myself. I look forward to our appointments on Thursday for our allergy test. Despite these reviews I have a positive impression and am confident our visit will be a positive. She let me know that when we come for her to let the front desk know that we are just there to see Nicole so the wait is minimal.Businesses cant please everyone. Dont take one bad visit keep you away. After all, it is a urgent care/walk-in clinic Im sure the sickest go back first.Good luck to you all and I will update you on how things go! :)
This urgent care is one of the most efficient walk-in clinics Ive ever gone to. Dr. Carl Foster is such a caring and thorough doctor and really takes the time to listen to and diagnose you. I cant say enough good things about him! Its the only urgent care that my family uses now.
I came in, sick as heck. The wait time was not bad at all, and the room had 3-4 people already. Instantly, they knew I was not feeling good, they took such good care of me. While there, they had to give me IV fluids, and the nurse who did so was so gentle and did am excellent job. They gave me a warm blanket and medicine and turned the light off so I could rest. Every 20 minutes they checked on me. The three and a half hours I was there I felt like I was treated like their only patient. never had that kind of reaction anywhere else. thank you to the wonderful staff and doctors at capri medical. :)
The staff and doctors are extremely friendly and professional. Very thorough throughout examination. One suggestion, take your prescription slip with you. Twice mine was called into wrong pharmacy location. Updated 1/18/19: this visit for my daughter-- they failed to send her prescription to the pharmacy. My wife handled this visit. Very upset with this screw-up-- shes not well at all and have to wait until morning before we can take care of this latest failed episode... do not want to turn anyone off from this clinic as the doctors are really good-- just take your prescription with you!
We went to the Capri Medical Group because my wife and I were in a car accident on our drive home to Tennessee from Florida. The accident happened at 10AM. It was raining and my wife hydroplaned while driving, hitting the concrete barrier along the on-ramp of the bypass in Columbus, GA. The car was drivable and no other cars were involved. My wifes hand was injured, though. I switched with her and drove her to the nearest emergency walk-in clinic that was open (thanks, Google!).It was Saturday. The accident happened at 10AM. We got to the clinic about 10 minutes later. After filling out paperwork, my wife was seen with minimal wait time. Dr. Carl Foster was very kind- warm and compassionate, even- to my wife and I. They handled everything well, and we were out of there and back on the road within 2hrs which is pretty good considering they did an X-Ray, gave her a shot, and put a splint on her hand. Would definitely recommend this clinic.
I have been going to this office for 5 years. I should have changed PCPs when my insurance changed from Tricare to Blue Cross. For the first time out of my experience I made an appointment because I was told they would make appointments for existing patients. Appointments are only available Tuesdays-Thursday between 9:30am-1:30pm. My appointment was at 12. I waited an hour in the waiting room before I was brought back into my own room. I then waited an 1 and 20 before a nurse came in to tell me someone would be right in. When I told her I had an appointment set for 12 she tried to tell me they dont make appointments and then asked me who the appointment was with. My appointment was with Dr. Carl Foster. I waited 25 more minutes before I had enough and walked to the front desk. I requested my copay back and left because theyre not the only ones who has to work. I am changing my PCP because that was just a ridiculous unnecessary experience.
I called there and spoke to dr.c. foster, to setup and appointment for my wife.later that day we did avideo chat. At that point he referred my wife to his wife who I guess is a doctor. We went there dr.p. foster did not do what we discussed on phone she prescribed pills we never received the results from the blood work to this day that was a month ago.
Granted I have only had one visit and you can not really know what the long term on anything will be until you experience it, however, based on my first visit I really enjoyed my experience and the staff and Doctor seem to have a handle on my situation. So my experience with Doctor Prima Foster was a good experience and look forward to getting better based on her care. One thing that stood out was she listened. Thank you again and I would recommend them to anyone.
For starters i had my baby February of 2018, about 3 months post partum i began to be very tired, cold, bruising easily, vision in and out, migraines and the list is a mile long of symptoms so i decided to see a doctor after dealing with them for a couple months. I originally seen Dr. Prima Foster, who was very nice at first, i told her about all my symptoms, and before any test were she suggested I should let that baby cry at night. I continued telling her i just felt like something wasnt right and she responded with I dont think there is anything wrong with you but Ill run labs anyways... I left there crying because i thought i was about to live like this for the rest of my life. A couple days later I was called about my lab results and was asked to come in immediately to discuss them. I went in after work, and was seen by her husband, Carl Foster. Dr. Carl Foster was AMAZING, compassionate, he listened and understood. He said that TSH was the highest he had ever seen and started my on medicine immediately. I took it for a month before coming back in for more test to see if the meds are working. I had the labs done and went back in to go over the labs, and was seen by DR. Prima Foster, once again she made me feel like there was nothing wrong with me. She asked me did you not tell him you just had a baby? Like i should have suffered through it. She then referred me to an endocrinologist where i was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, hashimotos. The endo told me if i wouldnt have gotten seen i could have ended up in a coma. So if i wasnt pushy and desperate at my original visit, i could have walked out of there have paid a $25 copay just to be told i need to let my baby cry at night, and would not have known my body was killing me. So if you go here, see the husband Dr. Carl Foster. Prima is a no go for me.
I can personally say youll find nothing less than caring honest people in this clinic. The staff members are down to earth people who I can relate to. How many physicians do you know where you can say theyre relate-able, who do not make you feel like youre just another patient? Local people, family run, and by the way the clinic looks nice inside. Since Ive been there Ive seen new staff, and I can tell the difference. A lot better. They dont just look at you like a symptom, they see you as a whole person. I dont know how many doctors can do that. I really dont.
The only urgent care I can go to and get treated based on my symptoms and not feel like Ive wasted time and money! Both Dr. Fosters know my name, and the staff is friendly. It feels great to get treated by providers that you have a relationship with! Wait time is not long at all!
I’m not sure what to think. My Son was recently diagnosed with Strep throat. He had a telehealth visit with Capri. The visit was prompt, however, my Son was prescribed Zithromax or a Zpack for Strep throat. We went to the hospital the same day because I wanted to be sure he was good to go and did not have COVID-19. I had two ER doctors question why my Son was prescribed a Z pack. They asked if he was allergic to penicillin, which he is not. They both stated that Zithromax was not the best or first choice in the medical community for Strep. I’m not sure if my Son was under diagnosed or under treated due to his age or race but it was alarming that two other physicians disagreed with the treatment provided by Capri. I do not think I will be returning to this clinic.
I went in and was shown to a room rather quickly after I paid my copay. After an hour and half of hearing the staff laughing and talking in the halls I came out of the room. The doctor and staff looked at me like they had no idea I had even been in there. If you ever want to go to a doctors office just to feel like you dont matter at all, this is the one for you. I would rather go wait at the ER than ever go back to this place.
I had my HIPAA rights violated during my last visit here and it has really made my outlook on this office far from good. I thought you should feel comfortable in your healthcare team, but my last visit made me feel awkward and I dont think it would be good for me to ever go here again. I could take this to another level, but I wont. I can say that I loved Dr. Prima Foster and hate that her staff member needs some training on HIPAA. It is an inconvenience that Ive got to reestablish my rapport with another doctor.
I recently had a bad experience with a staff member there and it had left a bitter taste in my mouth. After learning about this my Dr personally reached out to me and apologized from his heart and made me double down on choosing them as my primary care for the past several years and onward.
Do yourself a favor and do not go here if you want proper medical attention, treatment and great customer care. I actually expected more out of this place then what I received. It was referred to me by a doctor whom I think very highly of and respect. The professionalism was immediately uncovered when I overheard one of the medical techs discussing with someone else the services I requested. I was completely devastated!!! I wasnt embarrassed by any means. Nevertheless, have they ever heard of HIPAA? The disappointment didn’t stop there. After having left there I had questions regarding my medication to which trying to get someone on the phone after leaving this place or even a simple call back is unreal. I could go on and on but I will not. Needless, to say I went to another healthcare provider and they requested my medical records from Capri Medical Group to which they didn’t easily want to release. I will not return back there by any means necessary. And its a shame too because the one and only good thing about going there was the nurse who helped me (Mrs. Linda). She was very nice, caring, concerned and attentive but because shes apart of this horrid place I cant even be a part of going back to her anymore.
I came in late on a Friday extremely sick with the flu. The receptionist was very kind but the doctor clearly wanted to leave and start her weekend. I understand that everyone wants to leave work as soon as possible on a Friday afternoon, but to treat a sick patient like you could care less is unacceptable. When she walked in the room she asked What is wrong with your hair? before even introducing herself. There was nothing wrong with my hair first of all, and secondly can you not introduce yourself? Are you not supposed to be a healthcare professional? She rushed the entire exam and gave me a prescription that didnt even help. I would not be surprised to know that she simply guessed what was wrong with me and wrote down the first thing that came to mind. When I called two days later after having a side effect from my medication I could not get anyone on the phone. I called several times and finally left a message on the nurse’s line who NEVER CALLED BACK. I finally went to another clinic which is what I should have done in the first place. This experience was extremely unpleasant. I will never use this office again or recommend them to anyone. They could not have been more unprofessional or have made me feel more insignificant.
Can I rate this pathetic excuse for medical care with zero stars? I know that urgent care centers can take a while in order to be seen. This place, on average, requires a four hour visit. Do not make Prima Foster your doctor. She does not do diagnostic testing. She will load your child up with antibiotics when she has no clue what is wrong. My son has experienced unexplained fevers with vomiting, headaches, and lethargy every two or three weeks since September 2013. Any time my husband or I have taken our son to this doctor, she GUESSES that these are ear infections. My son has NEVER had an ear infection. He doesnt experience ANY pain in either of his ears. The headaches concern me most and we took him in to Prima so that she could perhaps refer us for an MRI. She refused the MRI and said she would refer us only to an Ear Nose Throat (ENT) because she says he needs tubes put in his ears! She couldnt pin point any source of infection so she assumes ears? We figured that wed go see the ENT just so he/she could tell us that our son does not need tubes. But after a week with no call from Primas office concerning a referral and appointment with the ENT, my husband physically went to her office where the nurse said that Prima never put in for a referral. My husband then stood and watched as the nurse called the doctor to confirm that we needed it. Then my husband stood and watched as the nurse supposedly requested a referral from our insurance provider. The ENTs office was never told that we needed the first appointment canceled since we were out of town. The ENTs office calls me asking for a referral and upon calling Capri, I was sent only to voicemail and was never able to actually speak with the nurse in charge of referrals. Ten hours later, still no returned phone call. Needless to say, I contacted my insurance and requested a new PCM. DO NOT VISIT CAPRI MEDICAL GROUP.
The ONLY Urgent Care in Town I trust! Ive been to multiple other urgent care offices in town where Ive been overcharged, misdiagnosed and even given the wrong antibiotics(which made the bacterial infection much worse). The nurses and doctors at Capri are amazing. They always listen, figure out the problem and get me fixed right up!
Waited 30 minutes before I was turned away. Told the receptionist that I had just moved here and was in pain and I needed to see a Doctor. She proceeded to tell me since I had a pcp listed on my insurance they could not take me. I tried to tell them that I just moved here and I don’t have a doctor and that’s why I was there. They told me they still couldn’t see me. BE WARNED if it’s your first time coming here and you have a pcp listed on your insurance even if you haven’t seen this doctor in 10 years they will turn you away.
Incompetent Drs and staff! I went there 2 weeks after I had been in a wreck (which totaled my Tahoe) because I was extremely exhausted and suffering from blood pressure issues. The Physician assistant who saw me kept asking me questions back after I told her and the nurse my symptoms (tired and tingling in feet and fingers) They had the audacity to say... Your symptoms arent adding up! Are you depressed?? WHAT??? (I said...No!!!). Then, she asked me... Do you have anixiety about getting into a vehicle? When I leaned forward and asked her... Well, what do you think? I was almost killed. Would you be scared if it happened to you? She threw her hands up in the air and said Im getting someone else to see you! I waited 5 mins for another Dr to see me, and no one came in the room so I left. If you are looking for pain meds to freely be given to you... THIS IS YOUR DR! However, if you are looking for a Dr. that actually cares about YOU (and not your money)... Do yourself a favor and DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
The wait was extremely long, and the service was OK. Their Google ratings (as you can see) are not great, but they were the only place open in town on a holiday, so I went in for a walk-in treatment. The assistant who took my blood didnt disinfect the area first -- she just stuck the needle in my arm! I have never had that happen before anywhere. She also didnt give me a band-aid to hold over the vein where she drew my blood. Again - I have never had this happen.Blood test results were not shared with me until I specifically asked for them. It was like they forgot.Overall, this place seemed very unprofessional and I will not be going back, unless, of course, they are the only game in town because no one else is open on a holiday. And even then, I may just put up with being ill for an extra day to get better treatment somewhere else.
Went here earlier today for an ear infection, ended up leaving and asking for a refund. Basic Issue: Woke up in the early AM with full ears and pain in my right one. Looked for places close to work and found the Capri Medical Group.Problem One: Appointments. Looking at the website, there is a form to fill out to make an appointment, where the office will call you back make it. In an urgent care situation, it would seem the call back should come by the time they open, as there are slots that can be filled. Never got a call back.Problem Two: Professionalism. With no call back I had to take a gamble on if they had a slot open for me to come in. I wanted to be there when they open, as I would be taking time off from work. I felt this would be the quickest and most expedient way to solve be seen. I called at 8:45 to check if they were open and get a price for an ear, nose and throat check. No answer. I called again a 8:50, this is ten minutes before opening, and hear the phone lift from the receiver and be immediately hung up. Since I was in pain, and this place was only a few mins drive from work, I left to be there first and see the doctor ASAP. When I arrived I was the only person there and first on the sign in list. Great! There were three people in the reception desk area, who told me there were no appointment at nine. After signing in and doing my paperwork, I waited in the reception area till 9:25. A nurse then had me go back into the medical area, took my weight and blood pressure, put me in a room and said the doctor would be right in. At 9:38, I wondered where is the doctor? Im the first on the list and only one other person came in behind me. The place was empty other than that. I asked the nurse if a doctor was ready to see me and she said none of the doctor had arrived yet! At an urgent care facility, forty minutes past open?!? I asked her when they would arrive and she didnt know. She called are received no answer on the phone. By 9:45 I decided to leave and get and refund. The front desk receptionist told me the doctor had just arrived. Yeah I have to leave maam, thanks anyway.I know why this happened, the doctors of this office feel its OK to come after opening, because they can gamble that, people are being processed, and being weighed, looking at tv and use to waiting at the doctors office, so there wont be a fuss. The problem is that, people come to urgent care because of more urgent problems than that of a regular doctors office visit. People in this situation are probably leaving work early or taking time away from school, or in real pain. This lackadaisical style may be fine in a more laid back setting. My big clue to how this place works should have been being hung up on when I tried to call at 8:50 to call at 8:50 to get answers. Pricing, wait time, doctors arrival time cold have been discussed and this would have never happened. I had reservations even going after this, but was in such bad shape that I did anyway. Lesson learned.
Dr. Foster was very nice and had good bedside manners. The wait time was pretty long and the lady upfront complained about everything, but other than that everything was fine. I sat there in the waiting room and heard the lady up front complain about 3 different people which was very unprofessional.
Dont care about the health of their patients. I needed just a basic refill of a maintenance medication to hold me over until my insurance gets changed over. They didnt want to help or even got the feeling they didnt care. I ask the lady what should I do and she replied I dont know think twice before you go to this place. I wish I could give zero stars.
I’ve never been so hurt and embarrassed in all my life!!! I went to pick up my daughter after injuring her foot. The PA was snobby as I went to move my car. Then the sales person in there rolled her eyes . I went to leave and was told I owed for the appliance and crutches...I didn’t have that kind of money. So I asked for them several time to take back the crutches etc. I did say sh@@ but didn’t call any names. Then mrs foster takes me to the side for cussing her employee. Which I hit the roof from way of the hidden cost, the employee doesn’t know how to handle a patient getting stuck owing $200 in addition to co pay..., poor services and I’ve taken my daughter for years to them. Go see real doctors for now own. Plenty of urgent cares in Columbus!!!!
I recently visited Capri Medical and have nothing but rave reviews about this establishment!!! Dr. Carl Foster is absolutely amazing!! He was very attentive, concerned and had superb bedside manners...he reassured me that everything would be checked and he did just that. I had allergies that were causing me problems and he did all of my test and explained everything step by step....I have now found a primary care physican that I would recommend to anyone....
So dont trust their office hours. Their office hours says till 7 on weekdays, well they lock their doors apparently at 6:45. I made it at 6:48 and couldnt get in with my sick screaming kid. I call their front desk and say their hours are till 7 on the door, she tells me they also have a sign that says they close 15 minutes early on the door... like thats some consolation... how the hell does that do me any good having a sign on the door when Im AT the door? Idiotic at best. What business has office hours posted online that they do not honor? Well the only one I can think of would be Capri Medical Group. Im pissed, I would have kept my sick screaming kid at home instead of rushing to get him in before they closed... just to find out they dont honor their office hours. If it was just me I wouldnt be upset really, but youre turning away sick kids during your office hours and that is complete crap.
I went in with a friend with a fractured foot and when we got to the front desk, the lady was very nice and took her time with us. And when we were in a room it was a 25 min wait. when Dr. foster came he was really kind and was very patience. I would come back any time when I need to.
Either in a hurry, or just not listening? Paid 150.00 plus insurance for a scrip for ibuprofen,! Not supposed to even take a lot of ibuprofen, as I have a J-pouch. One again not listening, ?not educated? Treatment for something unrelated to what I was there for. Not thorough at all. Lack of information, very, very disappointed.I told them I do hvac, Im in the heat on roof tops, also prescribed muscle relaxers, how dumb. That could put my job at risk, didnt even pick them up, will call my insurance carrier an try to have claim denied
The last two times I went I waited over 2.5 hrs. I will not go back again. I asked the lady what is going on because there were only two other people in the waiting room. She said oops, I never turned your paper work in. Really? How incompentent. They also wanted to charge me an after hr charge to my insurance in which they dont cover. They said because I was seen after 5:30. I know I checked in about 4-4:30 and was not seen until around 7. I was there way before their after hr (its not like they tell you they have one either)charge and they still were rude about it. My insurance company said they shouldnt even charge something like that. Just be aware of over charges from them as well. I will not be going back there at all.
I visited the aesthetics clinic to get help with a large scar. The aesthetician and doctor consulted with me regarding different options and expected results. The staff was professional and caring, and my result are more than I expected! Thank you for you helping me with reducing the appearance of my scar.
The weight loss program is a rip off.......I was not able to get all of my injections due to several personal issues and when I called to request my remaining products, I was told I couldnt get them because I did not get them in the set time. This was $400 and I am not pleased at all and would not recommend anyone to go there for bariatric services unless you can control any unexpected health or family issues.

2022-04-18The staff at Capri is amazingly helpful. It is obvious they care about their patients and do all they can to help deliver the best care. Front desk workers, nurses, and Dr P. Foster have all made my visits easy and comforting. Highly recommend

2022-02-18Dr.Foster Is a Wonderful Doctor. She Is Very Caring And Talks & Tells You Exactly What You Need To Hear which I find highly respectable Need To Say I Can Not Say The Same For Their Staff! Front Desk Receptionist Seem Very Rude And Can Care Less About Your Illness! I Have Never Felt As Turned Away As I Did Today And I Sure Would Not Like ANYONE Else To Feel This Way! GREAT DOCTORS HORRIBLE SERVICE!

2022-02-04This is an amazing doctor who truly cares about your well being. This pandemic has pushed seasoned medical professionals to the breaking point. Its nice to see that this doctor still treats patients as people, human beings who are scared, anxious, and looking for hope. Thank you and continue your great work.

2021-10-09My first visit here years ago was phenomenal. I felt cared for, listened to, and respected. Recent interactions with Capri (Not Dr Carl Foster) have left me feeling less cared for or respected. I am currently awaiting my childs referral it has been a month now, my medication to be sent/called in was told it would be taken care of 10/8/21 after paying a copay and waiting 2 hours to get refills (insane you have to pay for a visit for refills) taken care of. It has become apparent that this office/practice has become less patient oriented, and more money oriented. My family has been using this office as our primary care provider, and now I will be switching due to the lack of patient service. You guys broke my heart and ruined my ability to trust you all.

2022-01-27Went to urgent care on Gateway. Midland, Ga. at 16:45 and was told that they were not taking any more patients because it was close to closing and come back the next day. I say if their hours of operation is from 8:00 am to 18:00 seven days a week the care hours should be adjusted. Seems like closing is for the employees and not the patients.

2021-08-21I NEVER write reviews but it’s important to know great, good, or mediocre care and this office is mediocre at best. Do not waste your time. I needed to be seen for an urgent issue. I got in promptly, that’s great. I would say the nurse was sub par. They needed a urine sample and I had to ask for cleansing wipes to which she responded “oh right and handed me 5” Dr was very kind. Very professional, seemed concerned about possible bigger issue to which labs would have confirmed. Labs were done and 3 weeks later I still have no results. No returned phone call and when I get a live person she just sends me to a voicemail. I’m still sick and am disappointed I used this office because now I have no reference for the previous issue to pass into another Dr for help. No idea if it’s a staff problem or a Dr problem but either way I did not receive the follow through I needed

2021-06-18I am so disappointed i loved this office and the doctors but unfortunately i was very turned off recently. Went in on 6/10/21. Had labs done and hiv screening as i do yearly. After calling and leaving messages to get my results i finally spoke to someone just for them to inform me that they have no record of me getting labs or blood work done that day .now how is that even possible but im sure they will bill my insurance. Now days its really hard to find good care and we put our lives in there hands and make no mistake they are definitely not careless about taking your money.

2020-03-07I highly recommend Capri Medical Group for your health needs. Especially for urgent care!Yes- I can agree that sometimes the wait times can be a bit much. But this is to me is easily justified with clear reasoning because they do spend time with each and every patient ensuring that they understand your needs.I have had no problems with either Dr.Fosters.They truly care which is a rare find these days!

2018-05-16WOW is all I can say!!! I love coming to Capri their like family to me, my husband and children. We changed our provider about two years ago from a multi provider practice where even when scheduled for an appointment that took weeks to get we still found ourselves waiting long periods of time to see the doctor. We love the fact that we can walk in and be taken care of the same day whatever the need is from medication refills, sick visits or urgent visits. Even if theres a wait its worth it!!! Both the doctor Fosters are kind and truly care about our health. All of the staff have always been great from the smile at check in to the have a great day I hope you feel better soon on the way out. We love this place, just wanted to share because the positive gets left out sometimes...
