I love me some Captain D’s. We ordered drive thru, the wait wasn’t long and everything was right. I just hate that this location is the closest to me and it’s 20+ minutes away.

The lobby is not open and no sign on the door or online of indication. The staff have to run in and out unlocking the door. If something was missed in my dinner... like extra sauce, I have to bang on the door or go back in line in the drive thru. Purchased two Captains Platters and requested extra sauce, even if it cost extra. Did not get extra
The drive thru person was rude when I got to the window. Realized I didnt get the sauces that we wanted, but when I got back home. After receiving the order, she just decides to close the window in my face. What if I needed something else? They need to fix their attitudes.

Great wait staff couldnt be more friendly. Professionally handled a very busy hour slammed you might say but kept thier cool and thier smiles. Witnessed three people do the job of six. They should be proud of themselves as should be the local management.

They have a attitude every single time we go there. I asked her for something she looked me dead in the face didn’t say anything and closed the window. Needless to say didn’t get what i asked for which was incredibly simple.
Boy oh boy. I got a supreme sampler and a gallon tea. Man the fish and shrimp looked cooked too fast and extra harder than normal but I was hungry. I had bubble guts for the following 2 days. The same night I went to the bathroom 4-5 times , back to back. Now Im scared to go to that captain ds.

It seems like everytime you go here in the evening, the customer service is terrible and the food is not at all good. I ordered a two piece fish meal and a salmon meal. My fish was two different colors and cold. The fries were cold and terrible. The salmon was just okay. And we didnt get our corn. I hate having to go back because they get even nastier with their attitude. Will not return. Had great service around lunchtime but evenings suck. So wont be returning.
Not a great experience. However, there was one great employee who helped me. Placed my order of a 3 piece fish meal and asked for a water to drink. Meal came out and didnt really look at the plate to eat but realized I only got 2 pieces and when I went back to get my 3rd piece, I was questioned and the people in the kitchen were very rude and acted like I was inconveniencing them. The young lady who took my order even questioned me.and bringing to me was a bother to her!!! Bathroom was very bad also!! Will not be going back!!! The lady who was very helpful was wearing a blue shirt and had a great personality!!!
No sense of urgency from the people working. If management was there it didnt show at all.Been to this location four times since they reopened from the quarantine, this time was the worst service I ever had at this or any Captain Ds.

I really like the food here. I do. Sadly, you have to get past customer service to get it and customer service is pretty bad. Every time I drive up to the speaker its a small eternity before Im acknowledged. Some times I have to say hello before they bother to speak. Then I place my order. 90% of the time they completely ignore me and I end up having to repeat the entire thing. After placing my order, theres no acknowledgement. No divulging of my total. Just dead air. I drive around and, surprise, they have to ask me my order AGAIN! Ill pay, then sit there and watch them chat and gossip with each other instead of getting my order ready. Its a wonderful experience.Bottom line: The food is good, the service is abysmal. They dont care about you, your hunger, or your money. Honestly Reinharts is 500 feet away. Go there. Its more expensive, but the customer service is 1000% better.
Have never eaten here, just a delivery guy and I got an order for pickup. Sunday night near closing, the customer had ordered a gallon of ice tea with their food. The person seemed in charge asked me can I call the customer and see if they want something else. Well on a customer placed order the merchant has to contact the customer but she said she couldnt (yes she could) so I had to complete my pick up and contact my customer. Eventually got in touch and fixed the issue. While I was there 2 other customers walked out because they werent getting serviced. So again, Sunday night, I get it (hey I was out working) but this place has some work to do.
I luv this spot. I get heartburn from hell after eating it but worth the chest pain. Pre medicate if you have heartburn.
The food as always was good. I ordered the family feast. They were put of the stuffed crab but have me a choice of fried clams or more fish. The employees were very polite. It was a very good experience.

Captain Ds is my most frequent place to eat whether I am on the road or just looking for a local place to pick something up. I am not usually a fish person, but theirs is delicious. There is always a meal I like and usually love, with great sides choices. Their combo options are great, and they often have great specials. The place is always clean, and staff are always helpful and friendly. I travel a lot, so one thing Id recommend is more of their restaurants to be available on the interstate exits!
Fresh, hot and crispy Captain Ds fish dipped in malt vinegar with those yummy hush puppies and fries - wife always gets the fish and chicken dinner - we love Cap Ds sweet n sour - they should sell in supermarket
Terrible service asked to pull forward waited for 25 minutes. It was a seafood feast for the family but still way too long. Food just didnt taste good either.
Ive always liked Captain Ds! Though they are hit and miss on some days. My last visit they didnt have any baked potatoes ready and said it would be 22 minutes if I wanted to wait. Some days the fish is chrunchy and some days its soggy. All in all its decent for fast food though!
WOW. This place should CLOSE DOWNThe absolute worst service and food I have ever had from a captain Ds or actually any restaurant. Would have been better off going to Circle K for a Roller Dog. 4 people in the restaurant and they can’t even keep up and have an attitude. Shut it down.One star is too many.
Truly want to commend the drive through crew. We eat here often, and the crew is always pleasant, always courteous, always efficient, and always apologetic if theyre really busy and it akes a minute or two extra. Kudos to the crew themselves, franchise owner and the manager for picking the right folks for the job. Always two thumbs up!
The drive-thru line was not very long when I entered, after I ordered it stopped moving. Once I got to the window and paid I still had to wait, the good thing was the fish was hot and fresh. I asked for extra tartar sauce and with a three piece meal only received 2, not ny idea of extra. They charge you extra for macaroni and cheese and then give you a very small portion that was dry and tasteless. My cup top would not stay on the cup since it was deformed and should have been thrown away and not given to a customer. When I tried to remove it from the car the top popped off and spilled tea everywhere. I had asked for sweet and unsweet tea mixed, it was only sweet tea. This visit will last me for quite a while, not impressed.
If I could leave a zero I would. This is the worst captains ds Ive been to. Nobody in line or in the drive through and it took forever to get my food. Then the person that came in 10 minutes after me gets their food before I do and Then when I get it, my food isnt even hot.Second time Ive had a Bad experience at this location. It makes me appreciate the other locations even more.
I lived in Augusta all my life and I normally go to the Captain Ds on Wrightsboro or Dean Bridge Road. This was my 1st time trying the one on Washington Road, and I must say this was the best eating I have ever had in a long time. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious!! I ordered a seafood deluxe and it was absolutely good!!! The food and customer service were awesome!! Keep up the great work and you gained a new customer who will come back!!
Perfectly cooked fish, the fries leave much to be desired though. The customer service PERFECT every time! Great service, GREAT FOOD. (except the fries which are often soggy and microwaved. I wish fish places would have equally delicious fries so us American yanks can experience some good fish n chips)
Had a bad experience.Ordered on lineAnd food showed complete at 6:13. I arrived at 6:15 parked up front and waited.a short time later I called to find out where my food is at ashe said it will be out soon. So I waited no one showed up so went inside there were a few people arguing about there food. So I waited and finally I gave my name and ticket number theycould not find it then I showed on my phone that I order it and then it showed up. This was 6:40 now and the food was cold I just left with the food ..
This establishment is first class in every sense of the word. The evening manager treats you like royalty and makes sure youre happy with your food and everything else. She is a very valuable part of the Captain Ds team of professionals. There are other Captain Ds restaurants closer to me, but they cant hold a light compared to this location. I dont mind driving the extra mile to be happy with my dining experience. Every other Captain Ds in Augusta has HATEFUL, rude, and slow service so this location is the ONLY place where I go to enjoy fresh seafood. The Gordon Highway location told me and my guests that the all you can eat Sunday special ended at 7:00 PM, which was a bold faced LIE, and thats how I discovered the Washington Road location, where the manager actually waits on her customers and keeps an immaculate restaurant which means everything. Youll see the tremendous difference at this location when you give them just one try. Trust me, it is well worth driving the extra distance to receive first class service and fresh seafood where they actually THANK YOU for your business and make sure you are 100% pleased with your meal. Again, the evening manager makes her restaurant first class and shes not afraid to interact with her customers.

The service was slow but they only one person doing the front register and the drive thru. Other than that the cashier was very nice. For it being the the start of supper rush, and she was suppose to get off at 2:15pm and it was 5:30pm. She was so nice and helpful. The food was delicious. They just need to get some more workers.
Its a hit or miss, yall 😁. We all have bad days, right?Long waits, the busy but courteous employees get more short and less attentive with customers as they try to keep up with demand. I guess what Im saying is the busier they are, the quality of the food drops, the employees become overwhelmed, and the quality of service as well, begins to drop. Maybe more employees, shorter waits, better attention to food, and most of all customers. Until then Ill be trying to visit during slow hours. I take seeing another person standing at the register being put off 7 times in a row; and my stomach cant take another grease fillet. Other than that when time is on their side, I love the food and the employees
The cashier , whom was new there. Turned the experience into a really good one. She went above to be kind and see that we had everything we needed. She was alone on front counter and there was a line of guest. She handled her self very well. Once she asked the manager to help , whom by the way came out front then quickly went to the back again. If the manager just spent 5 minutes up front, she could of supported the new cashier.

Great service and best of all, I can still get the same thing I did 40 years ago. The restaurant looked very clean but the floor was a little oily. Maybe they mopped the dining room with the same mop they used in the kitchen. It was a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon until this guy decided that everyone in the place need to hear what was playing on his cellphone. Thats not the restaurants fault tho.

The staff in this restaurant are great, they worked hard and were attentive at the counter and at the dining area.The second job I had in my young life was at Captain Ds. The fillet of fish we cooked was a slab of fish and just the right amount of batter cracklins to give some texture to the fillet.The two pieces of fish I got, appeared to be bread sticks and just as stiff. I never did taste the fish fillet, only the batter crust and cooking oil. I also purchased a 12 butterfly shrimp order. It was good but again I would prefer more taste of the shrimp than the batter. I sincerely believe the staff had little fault with the quality of my meal. I hope Captain Ds will step up and look at the quality of the fillet of fish they purchase to serve and address the method of cooking the fillet and the batter cracklins.
Went to captain Ds on Friday June 29,2018, no one knew how to do their job or how to get out of their own way even. They had forgotten some guys order completely. My order took over 30 minutes to get and it was just a piece of fish, shrimp, French fries, and Cole slaw. The fish did not look right and did not taste like anything Ive ever had from captain ds I took pictures of it. It was not golden brown like Ive always gotten from captain Ds. I was so very disappointed!! They need better employees that actually care about their job!! And for the taste to be so off like that as of right now I will NEVER eat at a captains Ds again!!! Also the restaurant was nasty!! There was trash everywhere!! Dirty trays laying around all the paper towels on the tables were out, just a huge disappointment!! I NEED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER THAT IS NOT A RACIST ASAP! UPDATED I HAVE WENT TO THE WEBSITE AS INSTRUCTED AND STILL NOT HEARD ANYTHING BACK..... CAN SOMEONE PLEASE CONTACT ME??

I had the grilled shrimp skewers and they were seasoned wonderfully. The fried okra was perfect and served hot and fresh from the fryer. I was pleased with the service and friendliness of the staff. The establishment was clean.
So we dont have a Captain Ds back home, so when we saw this one we had to stop because its been awhile since weve been to one. well if you see one you should stop because unlike some other fast food places that serve fish and other Seafood Captain Ds has really stepped it up with their healthy options. The service at this location was terrific! the restaurant inside was very clean and the outside was very clean as well!
This is by far one of the best Captain Ds that I have ever been to! Leveil Harris was very nice to everyone that came through the line, she definitely was a pleasure to deal with. I had Fried Shrimp, Fried Fish, French Fries, and Fried Okra, everything was nice and hot! Would definitely recommend you stop by and try them out!
I figured Id try them out seeing that my coworker was telling me how good they were for their prices. He couldnt be more wrong. The food they served me wasnt even really food. I ordered some fish and shrimp but I got two pieces of shrimp and a piece of fried bread.. just the crust no actual fish. I showed the lady and asked if I just paid 9 dollars for it and she offered me 4 more shrimp after seeing what was in the box. If you knew it was messed up to begin with why even serve it? Anyway the food wasnt good either and Im not that hard to please when it comes to food ( human garbage disposal). Wont be returning
25 minute wait as everyone us behind ordered and left. Wrong order, wrong drinks, wrong sides. Other that what I wanted to eat the food was good. We won’t be back, been eating here for years.
Stopped and picked up food here it was amazing and the customer service was also amazing! They were fast very friendly and the inside was pretty clean. The location can be a little difficult getting in and out of at times depending on traffic and having a little hill but overall it was a great experience and I will definitely be back in the very near future!

I am one that is not a fan of fast food. So...2 shrimp skewers and an order of Jalapeno poppers with a salmon dinner was quite reasonable.
The cheesecake was good until i started gettimg a horrible after taste. Their shrimp is still pretty good though.
I ordered fish, broccoli, and green beans. The lady couldnt see the register bc of her fake 3inch lashes .I got rung up for chicken. I said no rice or roll. The lady said that I would get hush puppies and once again I said no bread. She brought out my plate and I had rice and a roll. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ The lady that rung up my order is the one who brought it to the table . She sit the entire tray down with my plate on it next to me never saying a word and walked away. 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ I never said a word I tossed out the roll and rice. I ate my food and left. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
It was alittle very delicious, fresh and hot. Could be less stingy with the tartar sauce , ordered a 4 piece fish gave me 1 sauce, I expect that from McDonalds but not the big Ds
My review may be skewed by how late I came into the establishment. I arrived around 8:40pm. Not the best first impression as there were a few handwritten signs all over the drive thru menu starting that it was out of order. It blocked part of the menu. No big deal, I just drove around to the window. No one there. I wanted to see the menu anyway since I wasnt very familiar with it, so I went inside. The restaurant was very clean. Maybe this is because it was about to close. Either way, I wasnt put off my dirty tables and sticky clothes. So far so good. I ordered easily enough and the cashier was pleasant. When I recieved the food it was acceptably warm. So why only two stars? Well, I pretty much hated the taste it left in my mouth. I ordered the supreme seafood platter with okra and broccoli. Every piece of fried food tasted like nothing but grease. Yes i understand the food was deep fried, but there are ways to di it where it doesnt have a bad aftertaste. The hush puppy, fish, shrimp, okra and clam all tasted the same. I found it nauseating. My daughter (7yo) enjoyed her food. Good service, not so good food.
Suggested the fried green tomatoes and I ordered them, got home with other food I ordered and they didn’t even include them... So I called and let them know and they say “well sir, you can come back and will get them” so now my other food gets cold while I drive back and the person gets me to “pull up for a few more minutes to wait”, finally brings them out and says “oh, sir I put you some hush puppies in for our mistake”. I hate to let this poorly operated establishment know, but I don’t eat “hush puppies” and I believe after, I myself as a business owner, would have, being I had caused a paying customer this amount of trouble, would have ask the customer what else I could have done to correct their OWN mistake!? Don’t ever assume. Bad business.

My husband and I got our food to go. And it was a great portion. The food was made good and hot. I had the stuffed crab and I personally am very picky on them. But in my opinion it was pretty good. Would definitely go again. Great customer service too.

I actually helped open a Captain Ds in Douglas, Ga over 30 years ago.During training I was actually offered a job traveling and training employees for corporate. Great company and high expectations for there employees.
My visit was okay. When you first walk in the door you see a special menu board to look at however when you get to the counter to place your order you dont see the same thing and you spend time trying to get what you want because the cashiers dont seem to know whats on the board. My friend was with me I ordered my food @ 15:32 I received my order promptly. I was through eating and my friend still had not received her food. The staff tried to say that she ordered fish that they had to unthaw. They said that this was happening all day. They didnt offer any compensation for the long wait. I love captain ds but what we and other customers experienced is totally unacceptable. Thanks for your time.
The fries were cold and soggy, and there was a ton of crumbs in the bottom of my box. The fish was barely warm, the shrimp was okay and the okra was the only hot item in my box.
Stopped for lunch 11/3/18. Ordered in the drive thru and got back on the road traveling before I was able to eat it. The food was cold and it made me feel sick after ingesting it, so my wife ate the rest of it and it made her feel sick too. My guess is it was old food that they served us, thinking we wouldnt return because we were just stopping for to go food. I wouldnt have left a review if it hadnt made me physically ill later in the day. And I was just praising Captain Ds, as a whole, for their new menu items and fresh food (from another location in a different city). Now, I doubt Ill return to another location.
We used to go to Captain Ds in Conyers but havent been to one in Augusta. We decided to try it. The employees were nice but the food portions were ridiculously small. The fish and chicken looked like it had been cut in to strips then fried. I think the owner is trying to be cheap and make more money for less. This is not the quality I was expecting at all.

Sometimes people call Captain Ds Seafood for the less fortunate. Maybe theyre right, but I enjoy spending the coupons I get from them in the mail. Who doesnt like a deal? The last time I went there I got a two piece fish dinner for a little over $3. Im really glad they gave me a courtesy water because it was essential in helping me swallow all the little crispy batter pieces that fell off of the golden brown fried fish fillets. The broccoli I had was also steamed to perfection and the older couples living at me made me feel important while slightly uncomfortable. I have no idea why Im writing all this because no one will probably ever read it. So if youre hungry 4 fried fish, try Captain Ds sometime. I only eat there once every 3 or 4 years so I never get tired of it. Unrelated but I wish dinosaurs werent extinct.
Terrible! I waited 5 mins in the drive thru. Then went inside to place an order. I saw the employees in the kitchen fussing at each other. And also witnessed one young lady actually throwing the side dishes onto the trays. Never coming back.Stay away from this one!
I ordered a salmon meal from them today and as I was biting into my piece of fish I noticed something tough so i took it out of my mouth and it was paper. I called and spoke with a manager named Christina. She apologized, but at the same time she was rude because she was talking over me. I am going to stay away from them. I never had this problem before. I will be contacting corporate as well.
They have very good food here and they are always busy. However the girls at the drive thru are always super nice.
Good food! Great service! One server running around going out of her way to help! Saw her waiting on an elderly couple and come out to table to fetch them sauces they needed. Sweet woman!
Good seafood, fresh & hot. Staff was polite, helpful, and professional. Dining area is reasonably wheel chair friendly, but could use some special tables with wheel chairs in mind.
Visited on 9/6/2020, Trinity was the cashier and took drive-thru order. She was very nice and welcoming. Food was delicious!
Drive thru worker was extremely rude. I couldn’t find something on the menu and asked her what were the sides offered and was told where to find them. You could have simply told me what they were. Not only that, but when I told her the sides I wanted she told me to wait. When she comes back to the speaker 3 minutes later, I asked how many sides I could get with my family meal and was spoken to like I was hard of understanding... will not come here again. I haven’t even gotten my food yet and have typed an entire paragraph.
There was no wait to order .We ordered a fish sandwich Plain ! Frenchfries lobster rolls a drink and thats it. We got after 20 min. Fish sandwich with mayo lettuce no fries no drink lobster roll and we had to go up and ask for the drink and fry after we were done eating.

Out of appetizer. When the food came up. The shrimp , clams, and poppers was all stuck together in one Mass. Each should have been separate from one another. Place needed cleaning. Fountain drinks were out of syrup. Bathroom smelled of urine. The only good thing was one server working the counter was polite, courteous come and helpful.

I was in the location on washington rd. I asked for the sampler @ 4.99. The cashier offered me sides but failed to state additional pricing. My Total was almost 9.00. I told her to take them off and she got an attitude and called mgr. The manager came out and could not figure out the difference in her head or on the register an gave me short change. I then heard the skinny black cashier making a blowing sound as she asked me where she wanted me to put my food. I think she spit on my meal. I told the mgr and she went in kitchen and did not come back out to avoid issue. I left that ghetto establishment with no food and no satisfaction. Me nor my family or any I can mention it to will NEVER eat there again. The whole incident sickens me.
Tiday it was a long wait inside and in drive thru... The food was okay. However it was a cook that came up front to get a drink, and his uniform was dirty and his shirt was hanging out like he didnt care ..kinda spoiled my appetite and I hope he didnt fix my food.

This is the absolute worst service Ive ever received in my entire life...No exaggeration...We ordered at the window at the drive thru because the speakers arent working, Two simple orders, that was screwed up at least five times.One order is paid ,we told her together , she rang separately.Then management came I thought ok we have help..it got worse...She refunded the money ,rerang ...and charged $15.00 for White fish meal...(wth) Weve been at the window for over 35 minutes now.Manager re rings order finally gets it correct, but adds on someone elses order as well ...🤦Well we we told to pull over n the food would be brought out..🤦I need to use the restroom, so I did and figured surely by now its ready..NOTStill waiting, another 15 minutes which she had the orders all screwed up ...No shrimp, no baked potato, two corn on cob, No Cole Slaw...She kept opening the containers looking at them as if they had something different in them 20 seconds later.The SHRIMP WERE HARD AND CRISP NO SHRIMP ... HORRIBLETHE FRIES WERE COLD.IT WAS A MESS. The single worst experience I have ever had at a Captain Ds. No greetings when people entered. My family waited at the front counter for at least 5 minutes while food was served and the drive thru was serviced. I asked the front clerk if I could order and he just eye rolled me. Then I asked the drive thru lady and she said dont you see I am busy?Finally after ordering, I had to ask multiple times for our cups. Then when our food did arrive, no flatware. I had to go pick to check at the drink station. They were out of plastic flatware but had given everyone else some. The malt vinegar is stored behind the counter like cigarettes.We didnt get butter or sour cream for our loaded baked potatoes and corn.Every request was met by an eyeroll. The food was prepared well, but it took almost an hour to finish.
Too often a fast food experience is less than desirable. However, Anthony and the wonderful people at this Captain Ds location were amazing!

I am a real lover of Captain Ds and I tried this location recently and it is totally beautiful inside,it has been re-modeled and it so modern and so much room,The food is great and I just love eating off a real plate and using a metal fork,whoo-hoo,almost fine dining..You do not have to go to the counter your food is brought to you and the staff at this locations were so nice and I almost forgot to say this place was spotless clean inside the dining are and restrooms...I will surely return.

Someones Grandma is in the kitchen making magic happen. Ive had fish, shrimp, taters, salads, and a lot of the sides here. ALL DELICIOUS. No wonder theyre a nationally recognized training location. BEST HUSH PUPPIES in town - hands down. Dont forget to try the Ds Sauce - on EVERYTHING.
The servers were polite and the wait time was fair but the pieces of fish are half the size they were just a year ago and their grease smelled rancid. They are lucky there is not a Long John Silvers in Augusta.

Not one to waste more time writing a review but staff was a little rude/ had no idea on the menu, food took over 20 minutes for simple fried fish, and once we got it, the fish was like baby food mush. Never will return
The food was great, but I believed they over charged me on the corn in the cob, the board said 39 cents for extra side, but my bill showed $1.84. I talked to one the employees and they told me that is was extra, I told him the board said 39 cents, he still said that I added it in and it was extra,show me on your board where that charge is?

Everytime I visit Augusta, (few times a year) we stop at the Captain D’s. It is extremely clean and I appreciate that a lot! Always courteous employees as well.
Didnt get shrimp with the meal that was supposed to come with shrimp. Didnt get the add on order of 6 pc. hushpuppies. Didnt get tarter sauce after being asked what sauce we wanted twice. Horrible.

The drinks cool you off on a hot day. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. The staff are friendly and quick. Feel free to order large orders inside or thru the drive thru. Old coupons are still good. The tea is delicious. They have sweet tea and unsweetened tea. The potatoes taste good. Get the kind of condiments you want. Ask for butter for the potatoes. The shrimp is excellent. The macaroni tastes good. #1 in OUR book!

Server was very rude I was getting my money together put a bill on the counter she said put the money in her hand right before I ordered she said she had to go to bathroom. You have to be careful not to over spend at such restaurants as Capn Ds. You can wonder whether youre getting your moneys worth. Overall not a bad sea food place.

Slow. The guy I came with ordered after me and got hia food first and I waited and waited and my buddy was finished by the time my food came. 2022-01-19This place has gone aaaalll the way down hill wrightsboro Rd. And Washington Rd. Are terrible fish over cooked and burnt, bake potatoes hard and under cooked. They lock the doors way before closing and only let certain people in. Just terrible wont be going back to either one.
