It’s hard to find a place to accept my credit so for that I’m thankful, as well as the professionalism that Cameron Cesar showed during our meeting. However the back of my mirror was missing , and I was informed that it was being repainted and I would be contacted in a couple of days to get it repaired. I have had the vehicle for about 3 weeks and have not been contacted yet. Cameron has responded to texts which is appreciated, but there’s no confirmation of a date where I might actually get it fixed. With financing and interest, I’ll end up paying 37,000 for this car. So I would really love to have ALL of it.
Buying at Car Max was the absolute best experience. Ralph was just amazing at what he did! I cannot recommend this place enough! Very easy, straight to the point, and over all just a very good, fast experience. Being from savannah, I drove over 250 miles due to my family being close to this location as I did not want to go car shopping alone from my previous experience with car dealerships. Ralph was able to point me in the right direction and found a car within my price range and he was able to get it shipped to the Lithia Springs store. Thank you Car Max and Ralph for being so amazing!!!
My experience with CarMax was like no other I ever had at any used car dealer. I picked out the vehicle I wanted online and set up an appointment and put the vehicle on hold so it couldnt be sold out from under me. Then went for the test drive and it was everything it was advertised to be and I safely put the money down because I wasnt doing a trade-in since it was totaled. All of it felt very safe and professional carrying in that much cash into a place. Also there is no haggle pricing and I was able to look the car over with a fine tooth comb finding NOTHING wrong with it at all. It was CarMax certified and they for sure did their due diligence by making sure it was a excellent vehicle 100%! Also they have the 30day no questions asked money back return no questions asked and a 90 day 4000 miles where they pretty much fix ANYTHING even maintenance things like brakes wearing out. They offer extended dealer warranty for some depending on the miles which we got and well worth it for 150 thousand miles or 4 years whichever comes first covering about everything but regular maintenance things. The sells agent was wonderful and straight to business and we were out of there with our new car washed and filled with gas in the shortest time I ever have had. They earned a customer for life!
My car buying experience was great it went really well. The transfer of the car was impressive as well. The experience was better than I imagined it to be. I want to thank Samaria Williams for doing a great job working with me. I also want to thank the guy who made the transfer of the car possible.
Got us in and out in little over an hour for an appraisal on car. Was very disappointed in their offer. Had heard they were paying decently for cars not in great condition. Not for us! Really wasnt worth driving over there for the offer they made, but they were prompt, courteous and professional, and got us in and out, no pressure. Overall decent operation, just didnt turn out great on this occasion.

OMG where to start!I was in desperate need of a vehicle, as mine had been recently totalled. We were crunched for time, and this is over a 2 day period.From the beginning, we did everything online. We got a call back, and that person was absolutely amazing! A follow-up call, and he was equally amazing!We initially went to Lithia Springs, and worked with Leshelle Gaines! SUCH an amazing soul! Her personality made me feel so comfort in our choice!She showed us the Kis Sol ! We had recently viewed. We had saved it from the site. Now, I didnt want to like this car, but driving it.. I fell in love instantly lol. We didnt want to settle on my first test drive, and she looked up a vehicle at South Lake.Introducing Chris Jameson! If you go to SL location, find him!!! His personality is so infectious!!! He went above and beyond!Unfortunately, what we chose, was out of our range payment-wise.He helped us more than any sales associate i have ever dealt with!!!With all his help, we kept coming back to this Sol that was at LS.We ended up going back to Leshelle, and she helped find other choices. The Sol kept calling my name lolThe process was amazing, and not only did we have Lashell, we had another beautiful soul named Toni Henry!I drove home with the Sol!Some small issues, but Service was quick to get me an appointment, and we are correcting them asap.From the initial phone call, to the end of closing, the customer service is compared to Chick-fil-A! Everything was terrific the only reason why I gave it a 4 is because they didn’t do a good job on detailing my car it was at night so I assumed they did but it wasn’t as clean as I thought you really can’t tell certain things when it’s dark. My sales rep great paperwork was quick and easy
I bought a Dodge Ram 1500 silver I ask to make sure there was no dog hair in the vehicle in it was tons of it in the back an in between the seat.the tires was also down to its last thread as well but they told me the tires were in great condition. I paid to get the vehicle ship in was told a lie just for a sale. Not satisfied at all.
I just wanted to say Mrs. Camille, George and Dwayne you guys are the best. They worked really hard for me to get the Nissan Rogue I had transferred to their store from Knoxville. I waited patiently for some one to reach out to me and that didn’t happen, but unfortunately I called the store the store my situation and helped me. He connected me with Camille and she got the job done. She helped me finding the title to suv while it was just sitting on their car lot. I was nervous and all over the place but after process I was able to release myself. Plus she stayed helping me when it was time for her to get off work. I own her my heart. Thanks
If I am buying a vehicle for my wife and children, I have a few nonnegotiable criteria, the most important of which is its accident history.Faced with the prospect of replacing our familys totaled vehicle in this very challenging market for used cars in early 2022, we went with CarMax — knowing wed pay more but believing wed have peace of mind regarding the condition of the vehicle.The vehicle we found at the Lithia Springs CarMax, a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica with 50,000 miles, seemed to check out. We liked the model, the color, the features, and the mileage. We especially appreciated the assurance it had not been in an accident. While it cost more than we would have ever spent in a better market (where solid, clean, accident-free vehicles are not so hard to find or expensive), we decided to pay that premium cost because it was the best minivan in excellent condition we could find, and nothing was more important for our family than its condition and clean accident history.After we purchased the minivan, we took it to a mechanic for a vehicle inspection to confirm its health and reliability. The mechanic immediately noted that it had clearly been in a wreck. A rear panel on the passenger side was not original, and its paint looked different from the rest of the car. We soon found more signs of damage in the same area.I specifically went to CarMax to avoid this very scenario. CarMax divulged no knowledge of damage, and theres no way there didnt know, given the way they inspect their vehicles and get them ready to sell.I am now the owner of a car that I obtained at a premium price because I expected it to be safe and free of accidents — only to find out that I now have a damaged car that is not worth what I paid for it. This experience reeks of deception and has changed my perspective about CarMax.I must now contact CarMax to seek a solution. I cannot overemphasize how sick I am of this process. Searching for a car isnt fun, and it consumes all your time. I wanted to be done with this. Thats why I went to CarMax. It is unfortunate that my faith was not rewarded.
My experience was fairly good and fast, and I had a good salesperson.I did have a couple of issues though. When I initially looked at the car, I mentioned to the salesperson that the notification for low tire was on, and I wanted to assure that the tire wasn’t bad. It was seemingly corrected, but I guess the only put air in the tire.After the purchase, the light came back on the next day, and I’ve had to put air in it every other day since purchased. Also, my car has began notifying that it needs to be serviced in 500 miles.I had no idea that I was purchasing a car just to have to get it serviced in the first 30 days.I’m a bit disappointed, but not a deal breaker.
Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Answered all my questions about the process. Waiting time was just as they quoted and not long at all.Offer was better than any other offer and I researched them all! Offer was the same as original quote which I was happy about. Waiting area very bright and clean.

I paid in advance to have a car transferred. Once the car arrived I went in for a test drive and start the purchase process. I had financing through my credit union and spent days going back and forth trying to get Carmax to provide the necessary documents. Carmax refused to provide proof of title. I told the Carmax business office I wanted to finance with them. In the 7 days that this back and forth took place, Carmax released the car I had transferred in. I was never notified of this. I texted the salesperson who assisted and found out they were let go. I found a similar car and had it transferred. While waiting for the second car to arrive I went online to discover that the original car I had transferred was now available. I was never told about it. After many weeks of heartache, I received the car I wanted. The only rewarding parts of this experience were the two people who delivered the car to my home. They were warm and friendly. The online salesperson was able to have a second transfer fee waived. You are better off with Carvana.
I purchased a vehicle, the sunroof didn’t work . Two “service” agents Jessica and Chris were extremely dismissive, and told me i had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment. According to the consensus online sunroof issues are common but i was treated like an anomaly. They never reimbursed for any inconvenience either
If I could give zero stars, I would. I was there March 13,2022 and paid money to have a vehicle transferred. Long story short they sold the vehicle without telling me after I paid money to have it shipped to georgia for me. I I reached out a week ago to find out about the information no one ever responded to me. Even when I came in to get a refund no one could tell me what actually happened with the vehicle and how they ended up dropping the ball. The manager Trey Brown refused to come out and talk to me instead he lied to me and so called referred me to another manager. The fact of the matter the person that he referred me too was a salesperson as if I could not read her badge. I will be writing their corporate office and also I will be contacting the better Business bureau about how they handle their business.
I bought 3 cars within two months from Carvana and carmax and all three had issues and had to be sent back. So I don’t trust the “150 point inspection” of these places. With carmax, my 2019 Camry hybrid showed a low hybrid battery within a few days. When registering the car, I found the maintenance record said it had been taken in for a “check engine” light which did not show up on the carfax. I would have never considered this car if I had known that. The air conditioning never got very cold and I had to run it on high to get cool in the springtime. Finally returned it and just bought a new car. The return process was easy though so I appreciate that.
The service department at the Lithia Springs location is terrible. They had my car a total of 18 days to replace a sensor because it always says my gate is open and my radio had to be replaced. They never answer the phone and dont update you like they should about your vehicle. They dont call you when they say they will and dont even bother leaving a message on the voice mail because they do not return them. I even left messages with management in service department and they have yet to be returned. When I picked my car up its evident someone has been driving it because it had so many miles accumulated on it but they claimed my car was shipped to another location to have the radio repaired but no one can tell me how all these miles got on my car. On top of the whole bad situation it still says my gate is open so that sensor was not replaced.
I am very concerned, I went to CarMax on Thornton road and could not find a place to park. No one was on the lot shopping. Now cars and trucks were coming in on transports by the dozens. I going back next week, they alt to have what I want for a good price. If not I will be back here unhappy.
Beware! Beware‼️ And Beware‼️‼️‼️ If you go to this location (Lithia Springs) Do not I repeat Do Not receive Service from the Salesman by the name Camille! She is known to being Overrate and Unprofessional with Emotions that will keep people from driving! Instead of getting Customers to drive away happy! Her attitude was so terrible that Auto Insurance Agent inform me to call them back whether I received the car or not! Not only that she use tactics that represent “Unsatisfactory Customer Service! Ran my credit 3 times that I have wait 30 days to Auto shop again! What a horrific and Envy experience that I ever received from a Car Salesman!
My first visit, I came in spoke with a salesman, told him I would come back the next day with my mom. My second visit, was a 45 minute wait turned into a 1hr and half wait. I get it I didn’t have an appointment and it’s a process to buying cars. I called the salesman, and he told me he had left for the day. My second salesman was great! I loved Kadeem! He was super helpful. However my car. The “car fax” they post online isn’t the real car fax. I wish I would have gotten it before I purchased the car. I brought it in for an alignment and my blind spot Sensors did not work. After service, the blindspot sensors still didn’t work. I was told to take it to Volkswagen so they could use their machine. After getting the car fax, I decided to return the car. The engine had been replaced and the car had been rewired. ( I think this is why the blindspot sensors didn’t work and the seat belt sensors are messing up.) Kadeem found me another car but it was 7k more. I know carmax has a policy but I mean something could have been done for the inconvenience . I live an hour and half away and this was just a lot. Throughout this whole process, after leaving voicemails and messages. No one ever reached out to me.Kadeem did apologize for this and started sending me more VW Tiguan’s. Overall, Kadeem was excellent, everything not so well.
I thought their prices were high. I ended up buying a 2019 Nissan Sentra from Enterprise. Thats the car rental place but they sell cars too. It was $17,900. I was at Carmax comparing the prices. Thats why I went there. I do want to say that the staff were extremely nice and friendly. Also, they have a large selection of cars to choose from.
RUN! THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE.Bought a car with a clean Carfax. Took it to a dealership and they revealed it has been in a wreck. That is just the tip of the iceberg. I took it in for a service to my local Lexus. They found multiple things wrong with the clips and needed repairs. Carmax employee 248815 told me directly they would reimburse me for all cost. I show up 1 week later, and they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. Including denying email communication. Bottom line this place is terrible. I was told 3 weeks ago a manager would call to discuss. Still waiting on that.
Dont buy the extended warranty. I called to get an issue fixed. They couldnt fit me in for 4 months. So they got me an appointment with another shop. Turns out the shop has to get fixes pre-approved before fixing. On a Saturday that wasnt possible. Id have to wait even longer to get the fix. But I still owned the shop for diagnostic. They said I could appeal for the fix after they did it. Didnt tell me no one would ever answer my appeal with a yes or no. So Im out however much I paid for the extended warranty PLUS the cost of the repair.
Tika Guess was awesome. She is very pleasant, professional and easy to work with. She walked us through every step of the process and there were no surprises. This is the 4th car I have bought from CarMax and while each time was a great experience, Tika put that extra touch on it to make me buy my 5th car from CarMax when the time comes.
What was to take 30 minutes ended up taking for the most part 2 days. The whole express purchase is just how they get you in the dealership so they can start attempting to mess with numbers. Received a vehicle with mud on the tires, trash inside, but at that point, I just wanted away from the place ASAP. Nobody even walked out to the vehicle with me after I received the keys. I was given keys to a dirty vehicle and sent on my way.I will give credit where credit is due, and the sales lady came in on her day off to make the deal happen, and to that, I appreciate her, but the rest of the experience was not pleasant.I have had nothing but great experiences with CarMax up until this point. I guess with it being a sellers market, good honest customer service gets thrown out the window.4-18-2022 Looking back, I would not have done business with CarMax on this truck. I missed some options they charged me for that the truck just does not have. That is my fault for not taking the time to look everything over, but beware, they will charge you for things that the car is not equipped with. Example, proper floormats and sprayed in bedliners.
I was in need of downsizing my vehicle and due to past experience, Carmax was the first to come to mind. Raheem was my sales rep and he was stellar throughout the whole process. Carmax purchased my vehicle at a fair market price and sold me one of their vehicles at a fair market price. I’m 51 years old and I have bought and sold many vehicles in my lifetime and this experience was by far the best one ever. I would go back in a heartbeat! I’m recommending them to everyone I know and to Raheem specifically!
I purchased a car through this CarMax. Not only did this transaction take over 6 hours to complete, but I am now out almost $500 until they decide to pay off the car I traded in. They did not disclose how long it would take to pay off the car. Furthermore, I almost lost out on the car I purchased because they wouldnt let me buy the car without an Alabama drivers license. Bare in mind, Alabama doesnt require an in-state drivers license to register a car, just proof of residency, which I had. I had to call multiple CarMax locations in Alabama to prove this. I basically had to do their job for them! AND the car had been keyed...KEYED!!! And their answer was, It may have happened while on the lot. I couldve sworn they preach a 125 point inspection. If my husband hadnt been so meticulous, they wouldve sold me a keyed car without a second thought! The lack of professionalism and attention to detail this location presented has left a horrible impression on me and my family. Im glad I didnt finance through them. I did, however, purchase their MaxCare but hope to never need it. Do better CareMax.
If I could give negative stars, I would. I called to ask them a question about my paperwork and they couldnt even find the paperwork that I left the night before to which was a hour before their closing. I called the business center at 12pm on Sunday when they opened hoping to get the paperwork that was left. When I called they had me waiting on the phone for over a hour. I just decided to hang up and keep calling until I got my answer as to what happened to my paperwork. So apparently, what i was told that they shred paperwork at the end of the night, however, she told me that she couldnt even find my paperwork in the shredder because i guess they keep up with what is shredded each night to which I do NOT have. So my information is just lingering out there with my personal information on it. No real apology or anything from them. Just ridiculous. Im very upset and will not be dealing with Carmax EVER!
I purchased a car from CarMax on Thornton road. I paid to get the car transferred in. After I got the car I took it back and swapped it out because it was full of dog hair and it had a pet oder. The car I swapped it out for had features listed that wasnt in the car on top of that I was told I would get my transfer fee back from the first car and theoney would go back to my card. The money never went back on my card do I called about it a couple of times, the sales person told me the check was mailed, Its been 14 days and I still havent received my transfer fee and the only thing they offered me for the false advertisement of the car was 2 gas fill ups. Smh
Not very impressed with any of their approach to customers. This a literally used car lot with with churn and burn approach to customers. From the moment you arrive you feel like you are being herded like cattle into a car purchase. These folks told me they would have a car available for a test drive within 3days and over a week later they made me feel like it was unreasonable to expect the car to be available for driving.
Cheap customer service. They dont ever understamd the problem. Me and my husband drove all the way an hour away and the sales representative they complain that you keep the car on hold but they dont allow you to test drive because they close test driving at 8.30 and we reached at 8.35. Sales persons dont show up and call centre calls you to ask that are you serious for the purchase? Insane people ,they should actually ask their employees whether they want to even work there or no.
This was the absolute worst buying experience I have ever had. I purchased my vehicle on February 6th. Today is March 8th. I still dont have my car, and it looks as if I wont have it until April, if then! The 30 day return is bull! Worst experience ever. If possible, Id give ZERO stars. DONT BUY A CAR FROM CARMAX!!!
1. The vehicle was shipped from a Carmax in Alabama, to the Lithia Springs store. It arrived in a timely manner, but it was downhill after that.2. I was told the battery was dead, so they had to replace it.3. The next day, I called to check on it, and was told that the hood wouldnt open, so they didnt change the battery yet.4. The next day, I was told that the hood wouldnt open. They had to send the car to Dent Wizard.5. I called again, the next day, and was told that the key couldnt be found.6. The next day, I was told that they found the key, but needed to make another one.7. Finally, I was told that I had to come pick up the vehicle, after scheduling 5 failed deliveries.8. Arrived to pick up the vehicle, which was so dirty, I had to take it to get detailed (Lakedra Workman told me to get it done, and she would reimburse me. We will see).9. The car had 5 recalls that Carmax told me that I had to get it done myself. They dont do that.So, I took it to Hennessey Lincoln.10. Bernie in service, told them to look into why the autostart wasnt working, and Carmax would take care of it. However, couldnt find hide nor hair of Bernie to get paid, so I had to pay it out of my pocket. Still havent found Bernie.11. Hennessey Lincoln couldnt perform the diagnosis because the battery was too weak. Which means the must not have put a new battery in it. SmhSo, this is where Im at, right now. Still within my 30 day/1500 mile warranty. Going up there this morning. Wish me luck. Smh
The car they sold me showed a clean carfax report. 2 months afterwards I started hearing knocking noises each time I turn my wheels or go over a bump. after inspection at the Ford dealership, they told me the car had been in a major right front side collision as evidence by the aftermarket replacement fenders AND the red paint overspray underneath the car. the FRONT STRUT was also broken on that side!! they also discovered that the airbag cover had been replaced, as evidence by the small uneven gaps on the steering wheel where someone attempted to install a new airbag cover. I couldnt believe my ears, I took it to another mechanic shop and they said the same thing!! they said this car is NOT safe to drive!!! I told carmax of Lithia Spring,, of course they refused to take responsibility stating the car PASSED THEIR INSPECTION ..after the mechanic started the work on my car he discovered the car also has a CRACKED ROTOR ON THE RIGHT SIDE!!! he said its miracle the right front end of the car car hasnt collapsed in on itself on the highway!!! THESE ARE CROOKS AT CARMAX...someone in Florida told me they also own chop shops under different business names where they dont even report these type of wrecked cars, they repaint and try to patch fix the cars, they then sell them for FULL MARKET PRICE and the customer doesnt know they are buying a car that really should be totalled out and not on the roads. this is a true story folks, run for your lives because they are selling death traps at their dealership. in my opinion they may even be running a nationwide scam.
Aaron our sales representative was friendly and informed . It was like making a purchase from a trusted friend, not just a dealership . He is the type of associate all businesses should strive to not only hire but retain . The process was straightforward and without hassle . I would recommend to anyone
My car has been nothing but trouble since I got it. First week I had it the engine light came on. Took it back since it had a 30 day warranty, was in the shop for almost 4 weeks. During that time I was still paying the car payment and insurance PLUS using Uber and Lyft. Thankfully after I reached out they compensated me but it was only after I called complaining which I normally don’t do. Fast forward to 4 months later, it completely stalled on me in the middle of the road and the part to fix it is $1,300. Definitely selling this car and getting a new one not though carmax. I understand cars break down but it’s been to many things after another and I haven’t even had this car for a year
This is is where I made my very first car purchase. I saved up the down payment and the money to purchase the insurance. The process was so easy . I told the sales person what I was looking for and how much I could afford to put down and she made it happen. I was able to view the car virtually and I submitted all my paperwork thru a link that she emailed me. I was approved for the car that I wanted before I stepped foot onto the car lot. When I initially went to the car lot , all I had to do was sign paperwork, pay my down payment and show proof of full coverage insurance. I ended up buying a 2017 Nissan Altima and I absolutely love my car. Of course the car was all factory when I bought it , and I definitely added the tint and the rims. I had a great experience. It started off rocky due to mixed information from the online salea reps. But Kyu in Lithia springs went above and beyond and changed the experience to a positive one. He was willing and eager to help and made us feel 100% comfortable. If you go here make sure you ask for Kyu you wont be disappointed.
I had a car on hold here for a transferred to the Warner Robins store, never got a call about the car so I figured I’d get a follow up call later on. Never happened, ended up calling this store back and it says they the car is still in process to be transferred, so I spoke to someone about it and they ended up selling the car. I would just stay away from CarMax altogether, I had a horrible sell’s experience and figured I would give another store a chance and they just ended up dropping the ball for the 3rd time.
WORST CARMAX EVER. Darnell gave me misinformation , lied, and when I went through another associate got upset and got meBanned for working with CARMAX ever again. I wouldn’t recommend CARMAX to anyone and will def take my business else where where they treat their customers like HUMAN BEINGS

This is my third vehicle purchased from Car Max. For this one, we had a vehicle shipped from SC. No requirement to buy to have it shipped here. We had tried to buy a car from Carvana. Had a few hiccups with the purchase, but still purchase it after being thrilled by the car vending machine. But I didnt like the car that much and there were issues with the car. So we returned it and just back to buying from Car Max.The purchase process was easy; we also traded in a vehicle previously purchased from Car Max. We had an appointment, quickly were off to test drive. Loved the color and the car. All was a great experience. Just an easier process buying with Car Max.
Leroy was extremely helpful. My mother & i are both car shopping with very different car needs & price points.Went in with my top 3 cars that i wanted to view & ended up falling in love with something completely different. She had no idea & loved one we didnt even consider for her. Great selection & when we both had cars we wanted different colors in/newer models for, Carmax has the free shipping option from other locations with no buying restrictions so we can view other cars at no extra cost. Leroy gave us space to walk around for a bit on our own then came back & was very friendly as we peppered him with questions. No haggle pricing so what you see is what you get. Sadly no special deal when buying multiple cars but KBB values the cars at what most are stickered at so im confident in what were doing. No purchase yet so ill post again when weve gone through the full process.
I went to the CarMax office in Lithia Springs, GA to buy a car about 2 weeks ago. This was my first time ever at a CarMax location and had a very good experience. The lady who assisted me was very great and made me leave with a smile that same day. It was an experience that I will ALWAYS remember. Her knowledge and positive attitude did it for me.
I would give them a below zero rating! Do not buy a car from carmax! I promise you will be sorry!Must of been free pizza day, because thats where our salesman stayed at! In the breakroom, eating pizza!$250 dollars to ship a car that we arent in a hurry to sale to you! Although you must need it, if you prepaid the shipping fees and pre-approved for that car!They decided to take the title to Virginia and not leave it in the car! So no title! And they werent really in a hurry to get it to us either, so itll be here when it will here is theyre attitude!Just go to classic cadillac of Atlanta! Same day service and hell of alot better customer service! Best thing I did!
They make it REALLY hard to buy a car from them.For example: Try talking to a person on the phone. I get nothing but answering machines or hung up on. Im guessing they have a lot of turnover because the people I dealt with (when I finally talked to someone) either needed more training or something because they were not very helpful.

I guess they’d rather let their employees drive cars around for their personal use rather than sell it. I reserved a car 5 days in advance and when I got there the car was nowhere to be found. Apparently a manager has been driving it for several days. Car max lost this customer.
My experience was extremely pleasant. The structure and flow of selling my car was seamless. The staff was prompt and knowledgeable. Carmax is known for its stress free car buying experience and now they also should be known for their stress free car selling experience. The sell amount was exactly what I was given on the website.

The staff chilling at the very front were not amazing. I felt like I was pretty clear when I said I had an appointment at a certain time and even pointed out my name on the display board which should have been enough for them to direct me to the person I was scheduled to meet. It was not. I had to grab my phone and spell out the staff members name for then to be able to direct me to them. After that, everything was perfect. The member I met for my appointment and all other staff were perfectly polite and helpful. The entire purchasing experience was very easy and smooth and the vehicle I purchased is in great condition and everything CarMax claimed about it was accurate. Very happy with my purchase and the overall experience. Would recommend

In the past I traded in a vehicle and purchased one from carmax. This was my first time selling one to them. Bought a car from here not even a whole week later check engine light comes on and all the tires were flat..brought it back they said it was because of a missing gas cap…not even another week later check engine light is on..service operator lady isn’t least bit concerned and very nonchalant attitude about my situation.

We had a very difficult experience but between Leroy and Janel our 9 hour ordeal of buying 2 cars was as enjoyable as it could be. We went for my husband to get a new car but I found the exact car I wanted too. Thanks to Leroys magical abilities we are not only paying less monthly on our cars but were also going to save hundreds a year in gas! Everyone was great, as we waited everyone made sure my son and I were comfortable and had what we needed.
We paid to have a car shipped here from Houston OVER A MONTH AGO. Two promised by dates have passed. No one calls us to give us updates and no one answers the phone when we call. Weve had one car as a family for 6 weeks with a newborn at home. This is disgraceful and I think we might just be out $700 and have to find another vehicle at this stage.

The Purchase was Great as usual.. The after purchase Service is horrible.. Purchased Jeep on Monday, The service engine light came on Thursday ,had it coded and called Friday no answer left msg with the Code PO128.. a week and a half and still have not heard back from CarMax.. fixing to Bring car back and get another.
I was sold a truck with a malfunctioning transmission. So much for the 140 point inspection they claim to do to make the buyer feel more comfortable about buying a used vehicle. I did not immediately notice the issue during the test drive but after a few days of driving, I realized something wasn’t right. Luckily it is still under the factory powertrain warranty but now I’m without a vehicle for up to two weeks or more while the manufacturer of the truck pulls the transmission from the vehicle and repairs or replaces it. On top of that the whole buying process was an absolute nightmare. My salesman was polite and did his best but he had absolutely no clue what he was doing. He wasn’t even sure how to open his company email after he asked me to send my proof of insurance. It went on and on with other issues as far as understanding how to use the CarMax computer sales system/interface. It completely demolished all confidence I had in CarMax. I chalk it up to poor leadership and training that allowed this to happen. This salesman was not prepared at all. My experience with this company has been an absolute disaster. I will never recommend anyone to buy a car from CarMax.
Outstanding service by the Carmax team in Lithia Springs. I was looking to receive top dollar for a car I was selling. Carmax gave me the most out of 4 offers I received from other dealers. They actually gave me more than what I was expecting. I was able to transfer everything over. They had me in and out in a flash. The customer service was A1 unmatched. Thanks Carmax! She was fair, honest, and discussed with me my options. the best thing about working with her was she was open and HONEST! the honesty was a refreshing change in buying a vehicle...and she got the deal done and I was home with my new car in less than 2 hours!!Her name was Deniece! she deserves an award!
I was communicating with one of the associate for the purchase, but he was taking too long to respond. I eventually called carmax and asked to deal with someone else. The new guy took better care of my need. The home delivery people were excellent. They were friendly and professional. I had some questions after the purchase and reached out to the same person who sold me the car. No response. I guess once they sell the car, they don’t really care. The car could have been cleaned better inside. I was expecting to be much clearer. I felt I was not valued as their customer except by the delivery people.
I purchased a car less than 30 days ago. My first week my check system and coolant light came on. I took it to CarMax thru warranty and they said they can give me an enterprise rental because they didn’t have any loaners. Then when I got there they changed their mind and I had to Lyft to an from work. I’m in week 3, my car just shut off on Jimmy Carter, a busy High way, and I am currently waiting outside my car in the heat for a warranty rep to take my call and get me roadside assistance. I’m losing faith with CarMax. I choose them because I thought they were an auto company with integrity but this is beyond disappointing

I left things in my car and the guys (didn’t get their names) went back and checked my SUV three times for me. Staff was friendly, efficient and professional. Best experience ever!
Literally my worst CarMax experience ever !!!!This Branch is definitely not serious about customer service. I got there to test drive a truck with an appointment at 730 pm. They told me to wait like 5 minutes and only when I was about to leave at 8 pm did they call me to say they can see me now.. I thought that was ok but not good. SO I went in and it took them 30 more minutes for them to figure out why I was there in the first place !! like wth. Everyone in there had a lax attitude towards everything and wasnt even helpful on any level ... Like hello I just want a 15 minute test drive on a truck ??Im definitely taking my business somewhere else. The place was so unprofessional which is uncharacteristic of CarMax. I have bought cars from them, but never been treated like this before.
The Honda Accord Sport that I was looking at was located at this Carmax, had it transferred to Stockbridge Carmax to be closer to home. The young lady that help me with the transfer and approval was very professional and very knowledgeable about the vehicle I was trying to purchase. I did end up purchasing the vehicle from the Stockbridge location and my sales person Keisha was awesome. See review for that location alone with the picture of my new baby 2020 Honda Accord sport.
It took an hour and a half to get the car even though I had scheduled an appointment. There were multiple opportunities they could have stepped up and made the process quicker and easier, but they missed them all.I scheduled to pick up a 24 hour test drive at 8:30 and called in advance to confirm before I left. I got to the store at 8:05, checked in and saw my name on the board listed at 8:30. I waited for the next available salesperson. When he came over at 8:25, he told me that they stop delivering 24 hour test drives at 8:30. I ignored the obvious question why they had scheduled me then and instead pointed out that it wasnt yet 8:30. He said that he would need to confirm with his manager who was busy. While we waited, the sales guy was unable to work up any of the paperwork so I sat and played on my phone for about 20 minutes while he wandered the store. The manager finally came over and approved the test drive.As we wrapped up the paperwork, the sales guy expressed concern that we were approaching the 9:00 closing and the car could have gotten locked up in the back. When I asked the manager why the car wasnt up front when I had scheduled an appointment for 30 minutes ago, he said it was the same reason why when you make a reservation at a restaurant they dont give you your food as soon as you sit down. Then he said that they just get too many appointments to have them all ready in advance - what if I hadnt showed up? Seriously, this was his explanation. Following his restaurant analogy, I pointed out this this was more like a takeout order which restaurants start cooking when you call to place the order. If you dont show up, theyve wasted the food. For CarMax, they just move a car that they can move back. It took another 20 - 30 minutes to bring the car from the back to the front.I did not feel like they showed any consideration for my time or effort.Oh, and the car did not have a critical feature I had specifically asked about. All in, it was a complete waste of my time.
My experience was ok overall. I am pregnant with a toddler who I brought with me to purchase the vehicle. I wish it didn’t take as long I was there for 4hrs. When I received the SUV it wasn’t clean at all..lol. Also wish the person that I worked with communicated with me more. He told me he would check up with me in a week of purchase to see if everything was ok, which it wasn’t, but he didn’t. I actually had to reach out to him with a couple issues. He is a great person though.
Horace was my salesman! He is fairly new at the moment but he did an AWESOME job getting me the deal I wanted! I came requesting a certain amount down with only a Dodge Challenger in mine and got just that! He made sure the car was prepped and full of gas when I left! I highly recommend him! Thanks CarMax!

Today I went into this location after being pre-approved for a vehicle online. After finding a car that I was in love with, being told to clean my car and getting insurance on the vehicle...I was told that I didnt qualify for the vehicle due to my income. I was so heartbroken to say by the least. Please make sure your really qualified before wasting valuable time & money 😩
My experience was not the best because of a few reasons. When the car arrived from California, it wasn’t any communication on how long the inspection would take, no one called me to setup an appointment to come in, I had to call them several of times to actually get an appointment. The transaction was good once I got it, but then I saw that my service vehicle soon light was on a few days after I left the lot. Called the sales rep and he stated he was going to check with the service center and they may have forgotten to clear the message after servicing. Never received a call back to come in or anything. The service center had one job and failed. The fact it took so long to do a quality inspection, that shouldn’t have been missed.
They made the car-selling process really easy. I was in and out in a half hour. The staff is friendly, and several people asked if I had been helped, or if I wanted water, and one asked to help carry my things. Yes, I know they typically do that at car lots, but I wasn’t in the “car-buying” area of the facility, and I think they were quite sincere. I would return to buy and sell again.
How about 10⭐s? My daughter and I had an amazing experience at CarMax-Lithia Springs. LJ (salesman)was awesome! Mike (closer) was awesome! The finance manager was awesome! Please go here when purchasing a vehicle. The process was short and uncomplicated! Approval was provided in a matter of moments! We were treated with so much respect from the moment that we walked in until the moment that we walked out! Man...this was truly a remarkable experience! Awesome job CarMax! We shall return!!!
Great salespeople. However, whomever is checking the cars before putting them on the lot is not quite doing their job. The first vehicle had a flat spare with a giant hole in it. It also needed motor mounts. The current vehicle Im purchasing had a popping noise when you open the sunroof. They sent the vehicle to Ford for repair. Ive already secured a loan for the vehicle. Im waiting for the repair in order to purchase the vehicle. If not for this issue, I would rate 5 stars. But, I love their no-hassle sales approach. I plan to buy an future vehicles through them. I would recommend to a friend. Just do your homework before purchasing any vehicle.
I absolutely hate I decided to go with this company. I tried to call to schedule an appointment for over 2 weeks, I left 4 voicemails, all of which went unanswered. I finally had to drive up to the dealership and confront the service center. The sales associate tried to make me wait yet another day. If the mechanic wouldnt have been standing at the end of the counter, Im not sure if my car would have ever been touched.Once the mechanic had done the diagnostics on the car, I was lied to and told that the AC was overcharged and that I needed an oil change and tire rotation in which was estimated to charge me $400. This place is a rip off. The AC condenser WAS replaced. And because it was all covered under warranty, and because I am a female, it was suspected that I know nothing about cars, and they tried to overcharge me and scam me out of $400. This is the same dealership that I purchased the car, and the maxcare plan from to begin with to avoid situations like this.These people should be ashamed of themselves!
I purchased a 2017 Jeep Compass on 7/1/2021 drive off the lot at 8 pm. By 7/15/2021 8 am the truck was being towed back to the location. Was unable to refund the car due to me driving 2,200 which is 700 more miles than the 30 days warranty would cover. I purchased MaxCare because I KNEW something like this would happen. My engine light is on & my car won’t start after it’s been turned off, I came back to return the vehicle but like I said before I was unable to. I spent $74 on an Uber yo get back up to the location. It is 7/17/2021 I am back at carmax trying to get my car fixed. Now it squeaks and the undercarriage is messed up from having to be towed 😡 I’m not happy this was not a happy experience. ALSO I HAVE TO DRIVE THE CAR FROM ATLANTA TO CHICAGO TO REGISTER THE THING! I’d like a vehicle that starts and stops when I need it to not work when it wants to. THANKS!!
This was by far the best experience my wife and I have had purchasing a vehicle. Our sales consultant Gregory Bryant was incredible. He was very welcoming from the time we entered the store. He was very friendly. He surveyed our needs and offered us multiple options that he thought suited us. He then found a vehicle and had it shipped to the Lithia Springs location. He walked us through the the entire process. He even scheduled a service appointment to address the few concerns that we had regarding the vehicle. We will definitely recommend him to our friends and family.

The experience selling my car to CarMax was great. I made an appointment, and it took about an hour total. The CarMax associate did an appraisal of the vehicle, gave me an offer contingent on a test drive, and then gave me a bank draft after the test drive. It was easy and hassle free!
On Monday, August 31st, my fiancée and I went to this location hoping to get a vehicle. I scheduled a test drive earlier in the day, however, we both got stuck at work and weren’t able to arrive until about 30-45 minutes before closing. Long story short on this same day even though they were closing we still got the car because our salesperson, John, told us that we had 7 days to return the vehicle if it wasn’t a good fit so we paid a down payment and were able to finance through carmax. My fiancée fell in love with the car as soon we got it but not more than fifteen minutes after pulling off the lot the check engine light came on. So the next day, we agreed to drive it a little to see if it there were some kinks that needed to be worked out but then an orange wrench illuminated just like the check engine light. I called carmax that very same day and they said the earliest they could look at it was Thursday and mind you I just got this car less than 24 hours ago and I need to wait almost 4 days for service? I could not bring it that day do so on Wednesday I took the vehicle to a mechanic shop that I frequent with my other vehicle and I was told that the code from the car meant I needed spark plugs, an emissions cord, and a full tune up plus there was no windshield wiper fluid in the car either so I took the car back up to carmax, immediately asked for a manager and was given service promptly. It turns out that when they checked it out it read the same code from the mechanic shop so they were going to send it over to ford to make sure and send me home with a rental vehicle which was fine. I left the car there on Wednesday and did not get an email about Ford picking up the vehicle until Thursday and in that email they still couldn’t give a diagnosis until the next day which was Friday. On Friday, I received an email from them a stating that Ford wants to keep and drive the car over the weekend claiming that the vehicles code was reading as a misfire and that it was driven over 90 mph which caused the engine and wrench light to come on. I did not disclose at the time that I knew for a fact that the car had not and was not going over 90 mph for the less than 48 hours I actually had it in my possession I just wanted to see what they would say so that I can be ready to let management know how I know it is something more going on here. The vehicle was supposed to be returned to me on Wednesday after a few more days of retesting and at closing time I got a call from this location stating that they were going to bring it back but on the way the driver was only going 50mph and he felt “something” so he wanted to keep it. I know that there is more going on with this car and I paid a deposit and I haven’t even been able to even use it so I’m trying to understand if I can return the car, does these days at Ford even count in my 7 days because how am I supposed to know if it’s a good fit if I cant drive? I purchased my first car with Enterprise Car Sales and I have never had any issues. Would you want to deal with this car that’s relativity new considering it being a 2018 with only 8,000 miles on it?
Don’t trust this dealership. My daughter paid to have a car shipped and they told her consistently that they would contact her when it was ready, only to sell it without contacting her. The manager just gave us to another salesperson with no discount or trying to help get another car in her range. Apparently you have to “grease” the palms of the salespersons since another car today mysteriously was on hold for another person even though we were told it would be free today.
I cant say a thing bad about this place. I purchased a car there with ease. I have had warranty work there with great ease. They follow up, keep you in the loop and make every dealing with them a pleasant easy quick experience. I cant say Ive ever had a bad experience with this place.
My appointment was at 11:45 AM and I was checked in immediately but then I wasnt attended until 1.5 hours later when I went back up to the desk to check and see what was up and they had lost my initial paperwork and didnt start the process/pickup the key. So essentially I was forgotten until I followed up.That being said once we started it was fast and my associate was really great so that improved it from 1 to 3 stars.

They gave me a great offer on my trade and we LOVE our new family car, which is a Volvo. I will always go here from her out. I highly recommend the staff on Thornton Rd.

The first day on a FridayWent on line to see if there was any cars that would be available to my budget and it wasThe second on Saturday the salesman went through it with me and like everything he came back if two options of my picking, I didnt like the first one then we he came with the second one I was like this cant be real so he told me the location were my car was.Then on Monday I was shocked and happy about my car getting prepared for me to drive home it was the best and fastest way to buy a car at carmax I have but good things to say bout this company. I did not receive my full extendend warranty back as expected. The car is 2019, the extended warranty would have kicked in after the original warranty expired, I had paid 1499 for the extended warranty from carmax, but received only 700 dollars back appox, when I just sold the car even though we had not used it at all.if you can adjust that please help,
I know all about the vehicle I bout as I own a fleet of them for the business. I felt confident with the CarMax guarantee so I had it shipped to a local dealership. When the vehicle was delivered I went in to purchase it. I brought my own financing in and because I have vehicles just like it I didnt even look at it. Took over 3 hours just to do paperwork and get out of there.
It was the most fun and plesent time I had buying my 2nd vehicle there.Deniece was amazing to work with.Deniece went out of her way to make sure I was happy with my vehicle purchase even stayed late past her time to see everything thru from beginning to thw end where i drove off.Deniece is a very special person who treated me like I was a close family member and very knowledgeable of her vehicles.I will be sending more businesses to her to help with their vehicle purchase.Thank you Deniece and the Carmax team.

This dealership is dishonest and unethical. They prey on the elderly and uninformed consumers. They sold my 89 year old mother a Toyota Camry 2011 which was valued fully loaded by Kelly Blue price to be $8000. Her car had only standard features. The purchase price for this car should have been from $6 to 8 thousand car but they sold it to my mother for $ 14,239 dollars. The loan was financed over 6 years with an interest rate of 14.34% for a total payout of $21,694. They charged her over six thousand dollars more than the car was worth. They overcharged her for the value of the car and gave her an unfair interest rate due to her age so that they could get as much money from her before she died. What kind of business does this to the elderly especially a national company like CarMax. Stay away from this dealership, dont walk but run. Check the Kelly Blue book value for a car before purchasing and never pay more. CarMax has an in-house system for valuing their cars based on auction prices. One day the price for a car can be up and the next day the price can be lower. Their price evaluation system biased and inconsistent with standard industry practices. When I asked for proof of the value of the car when they sold it to my mother, they said that they couldnt provide this information. You cant trust the prices for their cars. This dealership exploits the elderly and disadvantaged for their financial gain. They are truly crooks that should be arrested for what they did to my poor 90 year old mother. I dont know how these guys sleep at night.
I couldnt have been more pleased!! I was able to shop online, get a 2 different vehicles I was interested in transferred to my local CARMAX so I could decide which route I wanted to go. My salesperson Krystal was AMAZING ans super helpful. CARMAX made this the BEST car buying experience I have ever had!
I’m not one to write reviews at all. Good or bad I just let things be.I’ve been looking for a car for MONTHS and god knows I need one BAD. Ive already had a really bad car buying experience with Toyota when I was younger and I’ve been wary of dealerships since. I’ve worked real hard for my down payment money and I don’t have the best credit and I’m super young with no co signer finding a decent car is hard enough. I finally find the perfect car in my budget and it was my dream car I was head over heels. I immediately got all my paperwork and applied. I was approved I talk to two very nice sales people and they transferred my car all the way from NC. I was told it would take about a week or so for it to arrive. So I waited patiently for a week and haven’t heard a thing so I finally called up and the lady was very nice she apologized and scheduled a test drive for the next week I show up today super excited to see my baby (the car) only for them to tell me that it’s on hold for someone else. I was told that it had been there for two weeks and so they allowed someone else to purchase it. Although it’s still on the lot, he hasn’t completed his purchase and that man doesn’t test drive till Friday but it’s on hold for him although my paperwork says it’s on hold for me.I wasn’t even allowed to see it or test drive it. I almost busted out in tears. I left immediately. I’m completely heartbroken. This review isn’t to stop anyone from buying from carmax but I thought it should be known that I’m in tears heartbroken over something I worked really hard to be able to purchase. already bought accessories for the car and all just to be turned away because I was undermined and not informed. I’m devastated. I’m not sure how they let this happen and I’m not greatly disappointed in carmax but i would have to add this to my second worst car buying experience.
Made an appointment at 10:45 waiting for 45 min while 7-8 employees walked around checked their Facebook and not wearing masks. But when i don’t wear a mask they freak out. Double standards. Secondly i went to CarMax in Athens and got an offer for 8k two weeks later they offer 500$ less. After that it was an out of state title. I checked days before to make sure it was okay todo this from corporate they told me it’s absolutely fine. But CarMax didn’t believe me and made me wait until the California stores opened to ask a simple question i already figured out. This place is absolutely trash. All other CarMax are pretty good this one is despicable. I cannot believe the lake of knowledge about there Easy easy job. Sad to see people this stupid
My visit with quick and easy. I had the best over the phone customer service experience with Jay. He did all he could to make sure I was taken care of throughout the process. I did have to wait for the vehicle to be transferred from another local lot longer than expected but other than that everything was pretty good
I initially went in on a Thursday and was approved for a vehicle with Mr.Richardson who was great by the way and very helpful,but I did not have the necessary paperwork resulting in me returning the next day on Friday. The next day sales woman Ms. Malikah assisted with the car purchasing because Mr.Richardson was not there. My boyfriend nor myself were impressed with the service. She was very inattentive and not as helpful as we believe she could have been. Shortly after we sat down she immediately began focusing on another customer while sitting down with us. Ms.Malikah constantly reached out to her co-workers about a customer who was sitting and waiting just as my boyfriend and I and any other customers who came in that day did. It was a very short wait. Not to make it a race thing but we both noticed the man was white and both us sat there watching our sales woman ignore us because she was afraid this particular customer would get upset if he was not approached soon. Not to mention some African Americans customers came in and waited to be helped in the same area but Ms.Malikah no longer had the same energy or concern for them which was interesting. After that the attention was turned back to us but she acted as if we were bothering her, she was in a such a rush and very impatient with us. Anything that would possibly result in us sitting down with her any longer she had a counter argument for it and why something was not a good idea or how long it would take. I received the car and I am satisfied with it,but the service i was given was upsetting and horrible. I dont recommend anyone going to her or if you do just know what to expect from her. It could have easily been a bad day or time for her im not sure,but I do know this was my experience which is shocking because I believed that carmax had upstanding customer service all around.
They were absolutely amazingly wonderful, start to finish and in every department. Blake, Latreya, Rochelle, the other great people in the business office, and everyone I spoke with by phone were professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, responsive, and anxious to help me. The car was exactly as advertised, the process was as painless as car-buying can possible be, and I actually enjoyed it. I was well-informed of the steps and the paperwork, they explained everything very thoroughly and patiently, and I got the car I wanted at a fair price. I could not ask for more, and highly recommend CarMax Lithia Springs.
I wish I could negative stars, RUN AWAY!!! CarMax is horrible and takes customers for granted. I got a vehicle transferred from another to GA(which was $500) It took about 3 weeks for the vehicle to arrive. And would be on hold for me for 7seven after arrival at the store . Finally the car I’ve been waiting for, came in on Saturday to test drive and look at the vehicle,which Aaron wouldn’t allow me to because I couldn’t get insurance on the vehicle over the weekend due to the fact that the insurance company was closed on weekends. Monday I got insurance in car that I couldn’t test drive after being in class all day. Tuesday I called the Lithia Springs location at 10 when the store opened to schedule a test drive the agent told me the car had to pass final inspection before the vehicle can being released to me which that sounded crazy to me due to the fact that I seen the car Saturday. The agent told me that the manager will call me back later that day (he had me on hold for 20 mins) to give me status on the car. Two days has passed and no one has contacted me yet. Being that I got insurance Monday and it’s Thursday already I called the location I was on for about 30 mins time, finally the agent told me they had sold my car already and it’s being shipped to another customer in Alabama and there’s nothing they can do about it!! I was so hurt and in disbelief that this reputable company would do such a thing. I even paid for a rental to hold me over those three weeks of not having a car (money that I will not get back) I even asked if they could price match me another vehicle same year and make. The manger said they don’t negotiate pricing even those one of the store associate released the 7 day hold. Now my dream is gone someone had my car that I paid 500 upfront not included on the loan. They are trying to get me to finance a car that’s 2,000 more (way out of budget)than they car that they sold. How was another customer able to purchase a vehicle that should have been on hold. No disciplinary actions were taken.
I made reservations to test drive a car and received a text to confirm. When we arrived we were taken out to the exact car no hassle, our rep did not try to up-sale another car. After answering a few questions for DeAngelo the paperwork was complete. Very professional. Great experience.
The service while I was there was good, until the extended wait for completing the deal with finance officer... a line of people waiting to close deal... then after words, I find out there was no keys to unlock lugs on tires! And I was told a blatant lie regarding a key to the rack on top of car! I was told I wouldn’t need a key, I was told Lexus didn’t make a keys to the racks. They told me I could get a star wrench from an auto zone and remove it. AutoZone didn’t have a clue to why I was told that lie. I went to Lexus, and had to purchase a key! The key that the service department told me didn’t exist... disappointing!
We started out ordering our car online from Carmax. The car we found after searching for 2 months, that met our needs, was at their Cincinnati location. We paid the transfer fee and ordered the car to be delivered to their Lithia Springs location. I came in on a Thursday, we were notified on Friday and went to pick up the check from our bank and then to Carmax. Their was one piece of documentation that they failed to tell us they needed, so the check could not be picked up that day. We called to notify Lithia Springs Carmax, specifically Mr Dwyke Williams, and he said we could come on Monday. The next morning, Saturday, Mr Williams informed us that the car had been sold. Obviously, we didnt understand how a car we ordered could be sold but he said it was some kinda glitch and that he would find us another car. Sounded like a bait and switch. He could never replicate the car with the year, mileage, options that wasnt previously wrecked. Finally a few weeks later, we get a call from Corporate saying they want to make it right. They say the car is still available but they dont know why. We still want the car but are not happy for getting it weeks late with 400 extra miles on it. We decide to go ahead and proceed with the purchase but received nothing for our time, stress looking, and 400 extra miles........not happy and will continue to tell this story every opportunity we have.
Terrible car buying experience ever. The manager and salesperson told me themselves that scratches and the smoke odor did not match Carmax Standards and they agreed to get those fixed. After waiting for 2 weeks, it was almost impossible to get a hold of the repair status. Called 1-800 number and they told me the car was ready. When I made almost a 2-hour trip to the dealership, I found out that the car hadnt been touched. That day, thankfully, salesperson Mayra helped me make arrangements for a later repair and everything else. 5 starts to her only!!!
Honestly buying a car from carmax has been my worst experience, i bought a very nice car with low miles. I thought i got a steal of a deal except when i got on the road and both key fobs were dead had a chip in the windshield and had a slight tire vibration, i took my car up there 3 weeks in a row to be fixed now and still dealing with problems and they sold me a car with bent rims :) also a pain to get a hold of and act like my problems are no big deal and without having a car makes dealing with these problems worse
Lachelle Gaines is the best salesperson ever at Lithia Springs Carmax!!! This is my second time working with Lachelle. She worked with me in 2016 for my first car from Carmax and I just purchased my 2nd car (this week) under her salesmanship. I was sooooo happy to walk into carmax after the passing of these few years and she was literally right there. I’m glad it was her and it gave me relief because I knew instantly that I’d be in good hands and I trusted that she’d tell me nothing wrong. Lesson to all...This here shows that time didn’t matter, when a person sees you they will instantly remember their first experience with you. She treated me right the first time, so I definitely worked with her a second. Lachelle was very professional, knowledgeable, patient, personable and responsive during my car buying experience. She had the right amount of professionalism and personableness. Felt like a salesperson/ big sister. It was easy working with her. My car buying experience with her was about 2 weeks because I was indecisive. I’m going to miss her lol. When I’d come test drive cars she’d always made sure I was comfortable inside the store. When I finally signed for a car and she felt that other departments were moving too slow( car wash took longer than expected after signing the forms) she went right over to and got them to expedite the process and even got me free item for my wait. She was just awesome all around. She is very likeable. She is definitely fit for her sales role because she is BOMB. I personally feel that her level of customer service, she should be rewarded if she hasn’t already.
I have never worked with car max due to the horror stories I have been told over the years. However, against all my friends and family recommendation I decided I would see for myself.I have an SUV that I was interested in trading in or selling to the dealership. I stopped in and I was advised that I had to have an apt.and was giving a number to call to schedule. After calling and being placed on hold 3 days in a row for 20-40 minutes at a time without getting a representative to help. I gave up. I can only imagine how difficult it is to purchase a car if you can’t even get someone on the phone. I will continue to deal with my individual well known name brand dealerships from here on out.

Pam was my sales representative. She was absolutely amazing, and kept in great contact with me throughout my car transfer and buying process. I ended up not getting the same car I transferred, but found a car I love and the whole buying process was so smooth. The car is in GREAT condition and runs beautifully. I would definitely buy from here again, and I would 100% go through this process as Pam as my rep. again.
I purchased a Honda Civic about 6 days ago...Blake was the salesman that helped me! When I tell you that man is awesome and amazing, its an understatement! He was knowledgeable and patient. He even gave me advice on insurance, I switched provider and saved $125 per month! Wonderful experience, I recommend Car Max and Blake!!!
Excellent service. Fast, precise, and efficient process. The sales representatives are knowledgeable and helpful. My car buying experience took about hour total because I researched the car that I wanted before arriving. I had a second offer of financing with CarMax although I had already financed my loan through another company. Overall, I enjoyed buying my car here.

Something went wrong on my first visit. The purchase and home delivery were not recorded as promised. I had to call multiple times to try to have the car delivered to me. The process and rules kept changing and it seemed as if the staff were not sure what to do.I have still not received any paperwork from Carmax. I never received a receipt of my purchase for instance. It is like the entire transaction was an informal under the books affair. I have nothing from Carmax of any sort.I was asked four different times to provide my drivers license image. I kept sending it three times. On the fourth time I just said no I had done it enough.I sent a number of emails to the initial salesperson and she never responded to any of my emails. It was also hard to get ahold of people by phone and often required me to sit on hold for 10 or so minutes. It was very hard to connect with the relevant people and every time I had to deal with a new person.
Made an appointment to see a vehicle to purchase. Then drove 90 miles one way to find the vehicle dirty and had a check engine light on. 4 days later, they said they had it repaired so i drove back to purchase it. A few days later the check engine light was back on for the same thing they had repaired. Dropped the vehicle at their local to me repair center, took several days to get it back. Also the feature listing for the vehicle was wrong. Check check check. They dont care about inconveniencing you to any degree, no discount, no delivery or any sort of compensation for my wasted time because someone there or several people didnt do their job. I have spoken with 2 other people that bought cars from different carmax dealerships that also report the vehicle feature list is wrong. Almost seems like theyre goal is deception, after a game of hurry up and wait.
Marcus was my sales rep we worked with on our purchase. He was very knowledgeable and exemplified excellent customer service skills. These are main characteristics you look for in a sales rep. We were truly grateful to work with him, he went above and beyond his call of duty.
I had an awesome experience because Customer Service Representative Brandy went out of her way so that my car could be serviced at the Lithia Springs location. According to one service personal my car was scheduled for Town Center Carmax, and couldn’t be serviced until late June. I questioned how could that be when I made the appointment there. To make a long story short, my car was able to be serviced that day. Brandy went above and beyond her expectations.Thank you❤️
I only gave two stars because the sales representative was extremely nice and helpful however car max failed to inform me that a recall needed to be done on my vehicle and only 6 MONTHS after purchasing the car the motor went out and because of carmax failing to do anything or inform anyone of the issue I was not able to qualify to get the issue fixed without me spending thousands of dollars I wont be purchasing another vehicle from them
Sub-mediocre associates with very little product knowledge and lack of service delivery. As I drove away with my “car max quality” vehicle, I noticed they forgot to put in floor mats and the sound system was not working properly. They immediately gave me low grade car mats, and I had to schedule a time to bring the car back for their lack of attention to detail. Their limited service hours did not match up to my busy work schedule. Had to schedule out 4 months later just to have an appointment. When I asked about the CarMax guarantee, they told me they would still honor it months later due to scheduling. Upon arrival, they demanded I pay a service fee. This “bait and switch” tactic angered me, and I was not afraid to express my dis-satisfaction. Their response to rectify the situation was to BAN me from receiving any services from the local CarMax stores. Attempting to appeal, their “so called” Service Managers would refuse to answer or return phone calls. I use that title loosely due to a lack of service and leadership. NEVER even thought about doing business with CROOKmax again. Good RIDINGS!
My experience at carmax was good as far as the sales associates however my experience picking up the car was challenging. I arrived at 4 30 pm and left at close to6 30 because the managers were in a meeting . I interrupted them reminding them that was a customer they were very courteous when I approached them they apologized .I was due for surgerythe next day and felt that I did not need the extra stress that day .my salesman was extremely apologetic for my wait so long.while I love the purchase of the car I believed that customer service should be a priority. I will be in contact with them now that I have had my surgery
Mr. Steve Mott helped me find exactly the right car and the process was stress free. I found everyone I encountered to be professional, friendly, and helpful. I would recommend CarMax to anyone in the market for a car, or looking to sell their existing car. I don’t anticipate purchasing another car for many years, but when I do, I will certainly use CarMax.
I had alot of anxiety dealing with having to buy a car as quick as possible and with not much credit or lets be honest, money either... I chose carmax because sundays is the only day I can get off work and they are the only place open and let me say I feel this was god sent! They helped get a clean car not to updated 2013 but its clean and only 55000 miles and I drive it off that day they worked with me the whole day from getting my pay stubs to getting the actual insurance and leaving my whole experience has been great. They really do uphold there 3 month warranty its been two weeks a sensor went bad and they tried to fix it but sense they couldnt they were honest and took it to kia for free to be fixed but willing to work with you on days you can actually take off work when I arrived to pick my car up I was greeted by my first name I really appreciated that the people here are so professional and actually care about customers ( Customers around me looked just as pleased) 1,000 stars if I could carmax. Excellent service!
DO NOT SHOP AT THIS LOCATION. My mother purchased a car from them and not even four months later a wheel came off while they were driving. Shed purchased an extended warranty from CarMax and they towed the car in to assess. They told her that the extended warranty did not cover tire damage, and advised that they could not fully assess the issue since the wheel could not be retrieved from the heavily wooded area that it flew in to.Ridiculous! How is that tire damage? The entire wheel came off. And they were the last ones to service the tires. It just seems like another instance where its less expensive for them to pass the buck than honor their warranty. Terrible service. The general manager wouldnt even return my mothers call. Thank goodness she wasnt on the interstate when this happened.
CarMax was very unprofessional. They stole my trade in car, sold it before the deal went through and tried to strong arm me into a horrible new deal. Here is the back story, they didn’t submit all my required documents to the bank, and over a month later, the bank took back their offer. They lured me in under false pretenses, stating I need to resubmit paperwork when really, they wanted to secure my new car that I had for over a month. They tried to force me to take a new deal at a higher interest rate, I said no deal give me back my trade in and down payment. They could not Because they sold my car before the deal was done. I had to get a lawyer to threaten them with a theft by deception warrant to honor my deal. Oh and to add injury to insult we had to Uber home (60.00) plus a car rental until this was resolved which they promised to reimburse but lied again I had to escalate . THEY WILL SCAM YOU!! Know your rights!
My sales consultant Camille Humes was super awesome and helpful. I appreciate that she tolerated/entertained my Dads sense of humor. Lastly it was raining the day I got my truck, she walked my Dad to his car. Camille Humes is great and Id send anyone I now looking for a car to her. Carmax is too! The other team members were helpful too.
Please do Not shop here. My fiancée was told his car would be at this location on January 30th. After someone at the call center telling us to go in, we arrived to find that we would not be sold the car because of 2 very tiny dents on the roof of the car that must have occurred during transit from the other location. They assured us it would about a one week turn around & then the car would be delivered to his home. It is currently February 9th and my fiancé’s car has yet to be returned to CarMax. We have new jobs and this has hindered us severely. Not to mention the hundreds we spent on car insurance for the Honda we can’t even have yet!!! Again, all thanks to the low grade staff at CarMax and their horrible communication. Absolutely terrible customer service!!! If you’re looking for a job, I strongly recommend CarMax because clearly they don’t have standards when it comes to hiring their staff. Please advise everyone you know to not give CarMax a chance!! Not worth the stress!!

2022-03-03My experience has been great so far. I had a car shipped to this location from NJ. Once it arrived TJ assisted me with finalizing/trading in my old car. Ive also had great experiences with the service department. Ive had a few service issues with my new car but luckily it was under warranty. I do recommend getting the extended warranty for cars with 100k miles.Anyways,The service department is great.Randi is so Awesome!! She is professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. Randi is definitely an asset to your company/team. Bernie is also very helpful, calm and friendly.

2022-04-19Shopping with CarMax was easy and convenient. Paid for a transfer from California. At the beginning I was kept up to date and after that it was just a guessing game. Was notified of arrival of vehicle, told it would be ready in a few days. A few days passed and nothing until I reached out. From there I dealt with Betsy Back! I highly recommend her! She was straightforward and updated me much more than the previous rep. I greatly appreciate her assistance in my purchase! Fast and easy, got done in time just for closing 😝

2022-01-28It was my first time selling to CarMax and I was pleasantly surprised. They gave me the offer amount that they told me online. I actually expected to be low balled once I brought the car into the lot for a visual appraisal. I was so pleased and it didnt take long at all. I was totally impressed at how smooth the process went and I will absolutely tell others about this great experience if they are in need to sell a vehicle.

She found everything my family was looking for and fit our budget she constantly made sure we were comfortable and happy. She went over everything throughly and made sure everything was perfect before we left. So happy we had someone like her to make this experience so easy and wonderful. 2022-01-03If it were possible to give less than a full star, I would. First, let me say this is not the first vehicle I have purchased. I have been a licensed driver since I was 16 years of age and have owned many vehicles to date.Although I love the vehicle that I bought the entire buying experience at this CarMax has been a disaster. On the day of purchase, after leaving the dealership, I had to return to the dealership three times because the business office and the sale person did not have the ability or training to complete the purchasing process and forgot signatures and other processes for the purchase and service warranty to be complete. Because of their incompetency I was not able to make a business meeting and I lost money as a result. Absolutely unprofessional.Today, January 3, 2022 I called the dealership to report that I have not received my registration plate for my car. I was advised by the business office that I would now have to go to to the tag office (in the wake of COVID) to find out why I had not received the tag because their system is inaccessible at this time. Not until I asked for other alternatives did the representative offer (with less than a concern attitude) that I could call tomorrow when their system may be operable.If you are in the market for a car please go to another CarMax location or another dealership. Save yourself the anxiety of incredibly poor customer service.

CarMax gives you the facts of the vehicle and gives you multiple options for affordable monthly payments. Purchasing a vehicle with them was so seamless and quick! 2022-06-18I normally dont even participate in reviews but this is a must. I have been buying cars for over 20 years this was my first time using CarMax. This was the absolute worst car buying experience I have ever been through. I picked out a vehicle online and paid for it to arrive in my state. Vehicle was delivered the very next day but I was not allowed to see the vehicle until after two weeks from the date I was provided. Upon being told the car was ready I came with my own financing all I had to do was sign paperwork. Two days after picking up the car it began to knock so I took back and car sat at a dealership for almost 2 weeks untouched. I was informed by the dealer that CarMax would not paying for the repairs which is not what they told me when I called. So I went and picked up the vehicle myself and paid for the repairs out of my pocket and was informed I would be reimbursed but then later I was told they would not. I contacted corporate and was informed that the store told them that they would be reimbursing me but almost a month later I still have not received my money or a call back from mgmt and I have left over 20 messages due to them always being in meetings last but not least I paid CarMax 70k before financing for this vehicle and was told the vehicle had a clean CarMax but once you put the vehicle on a lift you can see damage to the front and rear crush zones as well as the see the paint difference not to mention there is masking tape between the front and rear bumpers that I can not remove due to it being in between the body parts. Listen to me do not I repeat do not go to CarMax this place is selling cars at a higher price than value but the cars are junk. CarMax is a big hustle and they pride themselves on it.

2022-02-07My wife and I went to CarMax in Lithia Springs, GA, to sell her Ford. We were greeted quickly and kindly by the CarMax representative, who led us very professionally through the sales process. My wife and I were happy with the transaction, which was faster than wed expected. We have bought all our vehicles for the past 20 years through CarMax and are happy and comfortable with how you run your business. I wouldnt want to buy a used car or truck through anyone else.
