This is a small grocery store connected to a coffee shop. Both seem to be exemplary businesses. In a neighborhood where even the McDonalds and the Walmart cant find people to work with any level of competence at anything greater than a snails pace, this place is clean and well organized and pleasant to patronize. The employees here always have a good attitude, the coffee is always quality and the grocery store is always shipshape.
You can always find the best produce here and if you are a foodie? You can pick up items you cant get in local grocery chain stores.Great local alternative and very needed resource in what is basically a good desert. Very clean, well stocked store with helpful, courteous workers who are all a part of fhe community oc which they serve. Do check them out!
I love this market! The staff is always extremely helpful and friendly. The selection available in the grocery store has saved me countless trips and the lines are ways short. The coffee shop is quaint and comfortable, and the food is always served fresh and hot. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
2 for 1 produce is a savior to me, Im able to easily provide ample veggies and fruit to my family without breaking the bank, and the selection of produce is always of a great quality, Im impressed with this market, and Im here almost 2 xs a week. They also have a great loyalty club that offers more savings. What a awesome little market!!
Amazing little shop. Reasonably priced produce using food stamps. When im in atlanta visiting i always stop in for the produce. Nice friendly customer service. Sometimes though the produce looks like they about to wilt and fall 6feet into the ground. Some of their other items are bit overpriced. Highly recommend this little treasure.
I love that you can weigh as much fruit as you need, thats huge & something I cant do anything else. They dont ever have everything I need but I love supporting this bussiness. The fact that a store like this exists in this neighborhood is a serious blessings because they have fresh fruit & veggies!
I think this is a great little area to get basic grocery necessities. There is a coffee shop attached to market with great coffee and a not for profit bicycle shop where you can buy bikes or bring your kids to learn how to repair bikes. Kids can even earn a free bicycle. Check this place out and support our community.
First time visiting this “market.” Horrible service, the vegetables looked like they were about to mold and wilt into death. Some items are WAAAY OVERPRICED. Did I mention how horrible and rude the cashier was? One rang while the other stood behind me as if I was about to use fake currency and proceeded to sing horribly as I re-packed my items into the bags correctly. Wait a minute?! (There’s a LOYALTY CARD??) The cashier DID NOT MENTION/ASK/PROMOTE it 😕.I can get horrible service and subpar products on Metropolitan Ave/Cleveland Ave. Guess my expectations were set too high for this experience. Def will NOT visit a 2nd time.
The customer service is Ok but theres this 1 girl whos very nasty, her name is Dinah! Very nasty! The markets prices can be very outrageous. And they tend to ring up your things wrong, often the wrong prices. And when you return for a refund their executive director is extremely nasty. If this werent the only option for fresh produce and meat in this area at walking distance, Id never go here!!!
This is actually called The Carver Market. PROS: staff is friendly and helpful, there is a small but nice selection of local artisanal goods (jellies, sauces, etc) and organic items, like you would find at a farmers market. CONS: The produce can be wonky and a more advanced and adventurous home cook wont find next-level staples such as rice wine vinegar, curry powder, or panko crumbs.

2022-02-13Stopped by today and loved it. I am local and had been meaning to try this place for a while. Of course I want to support local businesses but that can sometimes be hard when they have to compete with supermarket prices, but this store has a half off discount on produce if you buy with EBT and it really makes it feel like they want to support the local people too. I was also able to get just about everything on my list and everyone was very nice and the coffee shop was adorable. Coming from a barista myself, I loved the chai latte I got. Will be back :)

2017-07-18I dont need to shop at carver market, in fact it’s almost 20 mins from me vs the 3 stores near my housebut I do because I enjoy the community vibe you get from shopping here. It’s not like a crowded franchise, it’s usually just a couple people here at a time and it’s quite peaceful.

2020-08-23This is a cute neighborhood store. Nicely organized and well staffed. However, prices are a little higher than traditional grocery stores, but if you live in the area and need to make a quick run for some bread, milk, or an onion ... this is the place for you. Im not a resident of the neighborhood, Bull Ill shop here just to support from time to time.

2020-08-24Was in search of a black owned grocer and this one came up, BUT it is NOT black owned as a previous reviewer posted. Overall the selections were good, the establishment was clean, produce was fresh, I appreciated the shoppers points, they dont have fresh meat (only frozen), & the customer service was good. Nice & quaint neighborhood establishment.
