Two times here was ENOUGH! My kid had to tell me about how she couldn’t play on the indoor park as only the kindergartener’s could play there. As for the older kids they would watch part of a movie! They watched minions, not even a good christian movie! No lesson nothing.
This church is absolutely huge. As in thousands of people. When I walked in, I expected people that dont know each other and have no group cohesion. However, this church is incredible at connecting with people and bringing them into a community. Im in one of the college life groups now and just started volunteering at the church. The teachings Ive seen have all been biblically sound (and Ive been reading theology for over a decade). Ive now been here six months and so far Ive been highly impressed.
Amazing church, wonderful congregation, and the pastors are all touched by God and consistently deliver touching, wholesome messages. There are tons of programs and groups for members of all ages. The childrens programs are amazing. Its a great place to thrive no matter where you are in your walk with Christ.
The sermons are fresh, relevant and thought provoking. The people seem warm and friendly. First time visitors are treated extra well. They have coordinated parking with attendants and police, keeping traffic orderly and folks safe. It has a large auditorium with balcony seating too. There are many classes and groups to join. The have a well developed childrens and youth programs. The music is lively, modern, inspirational and joyful! Go and be blessed beyond measure.
I love everything about Cascade Hills. I have been a member for 4 or 5 years now. Plus my family( husband and son). My son loves Kids world. My husband loves the praise and worship. I love the classes they offer and environment or atmosphere. Thank God for Pastor Bill and Brent and All of the volunteers at Cascade Hills.
I am not one who considers myself religious, but more of a spiritual person. This church was in no way judging me for my personal beliefs. I went to check it out with a friend who invited me. They were welcoming and treated me as if I had been there all along and belonged.
The worship music, preaching, and the people we met were all awesome. We really loved the atmosphere and experience of the church. My issue is simple, Ive been diagnosed with cancer and have major surgery in 2 weeks. I sent an email asking for for either Pastor Brent or Pastor Bill to come and pray with me . I wanted to reconfirm my walk with Christ. I received a phone call explaining to me that the Pastors dont visit, it was an associate Pastor that would. I just feel if the shepherd is too busy for his sheep then maybe I need a new shepherd. I dont recall a time where Jesus said I know your scared and feel all alone; but, I cant make it. Im gonna send Luke instead. I believe the big church has lost its personal touch.
As a girl who has been going to this church since I was a little girl....I remember the first time I walk thought the kids world doors. The joy and happiness on everyones faces. Now I am 12 years old I love going to this church I love the middle school worship on Wednesday. And also Even though the covid-19 has stop a lot of things it can not stop the message of God - For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”Matthew 18:20 NLT-❤️The Law And Mills Family
Auditorium allowed for use by a local High School recognition Assembly. Staff and membership were kind and helpful to nonmembers to enter the facility. This allowance plus free parking was a real gift for the School. This is secondary to this Churchs primary mission of providing a Church for the unchurched. It is living out the New Testament directive to make Disciples in the world of all nations beginning at home. Great Church!
Ive attended Cascade with my family for 6 years now. The messages from Pastor Bill are spoken with truth and from the heart. I pleasantly enjoy this church and volunteering in multiple ministries. My children love it too. They learn about God and Jesus and are able to retain it from the way its taught here. Im so glad weve been able to find a church that focuses on God more than it does anything else.
So my family and I just moved here to G.A. from N.C. Originally we are from Clarksville, TN and we loved our church there so we wanted to find a good church to go to in N.C. and unfortunately we were not able to find a church that we with into. So as we moved here to Columbus my wife found this church. We were amazed by the size and figured it must be good with a following of this size. As we were sitting there our son who is 1yrs old was with us because we did not place him in the nursery because we were unsure if we would want to stay with this church or not. So on to my issue. A member of the church came in and approached us and asked us to leave and go to a “viewing room” where he could have “ all the fun he wanted” in there because he was “having too much fun”. Mind you not only did he say this to us, but he felt the need to announce this to the others in the viewing room that “he was having too much fun”. I have never been so embarrassed and infuriated in my life to be completely honest. And then to be show cases as “those people” to the other room. That’s disgusting and I won’t be coming back. For me personally and I won’t speak for my wife, but this is why I have strayed away from church, religion, and god in these last few years of my life. The pastor however was very awesome in what he was teaching and spreading the word, but the actions of the man that handed me a flyer that basically said your child is annoying y’all need to leave, but in a nicer way is a direct reflection of the entire church and it gives off the vibe that that’s how the rest of the church is as well. I have been trying to get back closer with God and restore my faith, but I feel as if this incident has actually pushed me even further away.
It’s a beautiful Church, it was my first time on it and I loved it, there are many activities beside the services for all kind of people, the park is just awesome as well (both in doo and the out side one) the people (volunteers) are really warm and make you feel welcome , the singers are awesome and the pastor too.
The people here are awesome. I attended my first service here this holiday season and enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately I will have to find somewhere a little more conventional as I did see a few things that were concerning to me. But the other attendees and the overall word of God were awesome!
My Bride and I independent of each other attended worship service here, she physically and I online while deployed to Afghanistan. The Holy Spirit brought us to CHC where we immediately met Pastor Bill and his lovely wife Miss Debbie. Wonderful, down-to-earth people. Members of the congregation are amazing and the Support Staff are kind and caring. The Prayer Team prayed for my terminally ill sister, Shon, and her mother during Shons battle with cancer. Meant so much to my family. My grandchildren love coming here. They start asking on Thursdays is it time to go to church yet? Super place to worship. Great environment.
Quite a few years ago, we attended here, trying to feed a family of 6, on 2 person income and to keep bills paid, we were not able to tithe our 10 percent, we both were volunteering our time to help the church, a staff member told my wife that since. We were not able to tithe, she could no longer volunteer in the nursery. There were guite a few members with deep pockets....$$$$$$$, all that had to be done as the staff would ask them for money and the project got done. Sometimes I think its all about $$, and not souls.
We took the kids to VBS, they are nice and the kids had fun. The only problem is, it is too big. This was the last day, Dad had been taking them. I needed a security card to pick them up and they couldnt find my kids paperwork or groups or anything. The were so many people standing around talking and others rushing around. I couldnt figure out who to talk to or where to send my kids. I like the people, but I really think theres too many people/kids for them to be organized. I dont think Ill take them there again.
Columbus, use to be my home town. My children were born there, In 1972 my family and I moved to Headland, Al. Today my daughter called to tell me that my grandson in law had been watching Pastor Purvis on TV and had gotten his Bible off the shelf and was reading and studying. She said he could understand the Pastor. And wanted to hear and learn more of his teaching. She ask if I could find out more about his ministry and get her son in law some of his sermons or teaching. God answers prayer ! Thank you and bless you in your service to the Lord. Moms, never give up in praying for your loved ones. Trish

2022-04-20Love this church. I have attended now for 2 years. I grew up in church and I am now 41 years old and never have I seen so many hard working Christians working with each other for 1 common goal. To reach the lost. Great place to learn about Jesus and what it means to be His followers!

2022-05-22After YEARS of loyalty I realized if you ask questions or buck their thinking you are ostracized! Is this REALLY a church for the unchurched? I was even told by a staff member, after difficulty trying to get in a small group, that you dont really want to be in one, they are very clicky . Is this Godly!?

2021-11-30This church has great bones. But the meat is a little tough. The greeters aren’t very welcoming the children church is not properly involved in the children the elementary age children are left to frolic and banter and baby sat by movies. The teenagers that are helping have writings on their face and purple hair not very happy about the influence on our youth. Great place to get your feet wet not sure it’s a place that will grow you to be hell shakers.

2021-10-17My daughter and I attended the church today for the first time and I am extremely pleased with my visit. The word was ministered extremely well. And leaving her while i went upstairs to the service was my biggest worry because I’ve never left her with anyone before. But it was very secure, very clean, there’s lots of toys, everyone was super friendly and my daughter loved it! I felt good to know she was safe and in good hands. She had so much fun she was crying to stay. I would definitely recommend

2022-04-07No one greeted me OR my guest as we entered, despite the fact that members?staff? eyeballed us as we entered. It was obvious that we were first time visitors, as we didn’t know where the doors to enter the sanctuary were, and had to ask for directions. I was NOT impressed. 😟
