I enjoyed meeting the new management and getting a tour of the new facility. This new construction is definitely needed in the Midtown area and they offer promitonal sales which is great considering how the downtown residential area is high. Another thing is the amenties that this complex has. I cant wait to move in!

DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE. Im not a person who writes reviews like this, but at this point, my patience has run thin. When I originally signed my lease at Catalyst back in March, I was excited at the prospect of moving into these apartments. However, this experience has been filled with nothing but stress, unprofessionalism, and dishonesty. As part of our lease agreement, we were required to pay the first months rent by July 15th with an August 15th move-in date. That move-in date has now been changed THREE times!!! From August 15th to August 26th; August 26th to August 28th, and now August 28th to September 1st. We werent notified of the first delay until four days to move-in which was incredibly inconvenient, but I tried to be understanding of the situation considering we are in a pandemic. When Catalyst notified us of the second delay to August 28th, they claimed Many residents have requested a weekend move-in to work around class schedules. This is inexplicable because why would we ask for move-in to be delayed further when weve already spent two weeks without being able to live in apartments that we paid for in advance. Furthermore, no one responds to emails or phone calls so it would be impossible to get in touch with management to request anything. Now, less than 24 hours before the expected move-in they promised, were sent an email saying that due to unforeseen final construction issues..., and City of Atlanta approval processes it is best for everyone involved that the move-in date be changed to Wednesday, September 1. Theyre also claiming in this email that a tornado impacted the elevator timeline, and there have been labor and supply chain challenges affecting the timeframe. Mind you high-rise student apartments that began construction later than Catalyst have been completed without issue, and the last tornado in Atlanta was in May.... If executive management has known these challenges were affecting the promised timeline, we should have been notified and provided with adequate options months ago.All of us are growing incredibly tired of this run around. If construction is not going to be completed for several more weeks/months, just make us aware now so we can try and obtain alternate housing - which at this point is almost impossible since many complexes are sold out. We can literally drive by the complex ourselves and see there seems to be a ton of work left to be completed, but they claim its unforeseen?!We deserve to be compensated fairly for this experience. Those of us who are being housed in hotels are receiving absolutely nothing, and are incurring additional costs to store our belongings, do laundry and buy food, at minimum. Others who are temporarily residing somewhere else are receiving a credit of $50/day off their rent for September which is not nearly sufficient compensation for the headache. Catalyst should refund our August rent or credit it towards September, and also discount our future rent since they also claim that aside from the study rooms, the other amenities weve paid for will not be ready when we move-in. In addition, we should be reimbursed for any additional expenses we were forced to incur while being displaced. None of us paid over $1000/month to stay in a hotel, we paid for an apartment and the promised amenities.I honestly dread moving here when the building is complete because with the way theyve mishandled this move-in, Im sure the conditions will be subpar with less than helpful staff. I would not recommend moving here to anyone, please find another complex that is honest and professional.By the way, the only five-star reviews listed are from people who toured the mock room in their leasing office months ago... Catalyst disabled replies to all posts on their Facebook and IG pages, so we have no choice but to post our comments on Google, which conveniently Catalyst doesnt respond to although they found time to reply to the previous five-star reviews lol.UPDATE: Floors 1-3 moved-in 9/27 but 4-5 is still delayed indefinitely w/no amenities ready.

Went to the Catalyst in person ready to move in over the weekend only to be told we could not. Bldg 1000 to the left is not ready. Construction workers were still on site see pics. Bldg 2000 to the right is mostly ready but did not pass inspection due to elevator as per the management but i believe there is more....if you zoom in you can see the garage does not appear to be complete and the first floor still has some work to be done.We were accommodated in a hotel with parking, laundry and kitchen amenities until official move-in date given as Aug 26. However, given the amount of work yet to be done, it seems unlikely the bldg can be ready especially building 1000.where there more yet to be done.Ignore all of the first reviews of people saying they moved in or like the apartments. No one has moved in.

I’ve now lived at Catalyst in building 2000 since September. Still no gated parking so the only garage that won’t destroy your exhaust and transmission is always full, loud construction 6 days a week from sunrise to probably 8 or 9pm (great for a Saturday morning hangover), amenities are just for show (tvs don’t work, makerspace is locked, speakers don’t work on rooftop, table tennis has broken paddles and no balls, etc) homeless people like to wander into the common areas, the trash rooms are overflowing and filthy, I could go on. On top of dealing with the ongoing construction on our building (meaning the amenities were not prepared until halfway through our lease) and the above problems, they have the nerve to raise the rates. We were excited to live here and now do not plan on signing a new lease. UPDATE: building will not notify you of crimes (cars have been broken into, there’s been at least two shootings) attached a photo found last night

My apartment has flooded 5 times in all and they have done nothing about it. My laptop was damaged in the flood and once again they did nothing about . DO NOT waste your 1,000 dollars for the most bare minimum apartment in atlanta. lets not forget parking is 100 dollars and there is no gate and hasnt for my whole lease. homeless people live here and theres a car break in almost every night. There was also RECENT SHOOTINGS on the property.

I was supposed to move in on the 15th and they extended our move in date until the 26th because the building isn’t done. We were just told that they will be further extending the date. It’s honestly ridiculous that we signed a lease and already paid for our first months rent and we don’t even know when we can move in. How can an apartment complex promise students a place to stay when the building is not even finished yet? I drove by the buildings and they are clearly still under construction. Also, notice how all the good reviews are BEFORE people were supposed to move in. They left us screwed and stressed out, yes they are providing a hotel but whoever stays at the hotel will end up having to move twice. Moving is already stressful enough as it is, and now we are just in this state of limbo with no idea what’s going on, all while everyone is returning to school.

The pool has been closed for the longest time and were basically not even allowed there. The first couple months, the online payment method didnt work properly and I was being given heavily taxed warnings, which I had to speak with the staff to get them dismissed. The P2 parking entrance is notorious for testing the limits of residences car axles and driving skills due to the huge cement wall in the way. Theyre installing gates there now so I can only imagine how much more crowded that entrance will get. Living room is tiny, kitchen is frustratingly small, and the only thing I truly love is the spacious bathroom. Thats it.

Wish it could get better after the delayed move in but apparently the building quality is lackluster because of the final rush in construction. Water has been flushing the hallway and our room a couple times and no one can work out a solution. Soundproofing is nonexistent. And if you like to do some serious cooking, there is no duct but only a filtering fan. Not good even with an already low expectation.

When we moved in 2021 there was a construction going and they didn’t tell that to us. However, this place is a lot better now and the catalyst staff is very helpful.

I really enjoyed staying at Catalyst this year. Started off rough but I loved it. Always have mixers, food, and events going on for residents that are free!Taylor cook is a great property manager and has really helped put the community together
