We waited 30 minutes, which is what the hostess said wait time was and then they never called us to be seated. After 30 minutes, we came inside and I heard the hostess say to another... I forgot them. The other hostess said, its ok. Tell them you were just about to call them. After being seated, they stood around debating on who would serve a table of 5 for at least 10 minutes. The food is great, but the hostess... not so much.
Went in around 8:30 on the 3rd of July ( a Sunday) and was told the servers wouldn’t want to serve us because they closed in 30 minutes, although it is a holiday weekend that we wanted to enjoy out. Will not ever eat here, or give business, to anyone who tells me they do not want to serve us on a weekend before they close.
The older blonde lady waitress is in the wrong profession. She is clearly incapable of being in any form of customer service. She was wildly rude to another employee and has been super rude to us on three occasions. We are finally done for good with this place. She is miserable and needs to be fired immediately. She is like the Michael Scott of the restaurant biz. ✌🏽
06/02/2022 walked in was quoted a 30 minute wait place had many open tables at that time. 40 minutes later I walked to host stand and ask about table. He proceeded to walk up to the server and had Discussion. Came back to inform me that the server stated she would be able to take another table in about 35 more minutes. Mind you there were so many open tables. I understand everyone is understaffed but let the customer know that at moment of time when they put their name on the list. Spoke with male manager that was a joke in itself. Pass the restaurant and go somewhere else!
Great food,! The appetizer were awesome, especially the Gouda MacnCheese bites. Philly Cheese steak was great, plenty of meat and veggies. If anything it needed a bigger bun. My party of 4 had no complaints about their food, others had burgers and fish & chips. We will definitely be returning again. Only complaint would be that the music was very loud. Will probably end up being one of our favorites in the area.
I love the environment and the people! The food is always on point and our waitress Brandy was awesome. She was very welcoming and fun! The staff worked as a team so we were always checked on! Whether they were working the bar or waiting on another table they were aware of all the customers and their needs. If youre looking for a family friendly location with amazing food then you need to come here!
Absolutely delicious!!! Front and back of the house staff are busting their tails to keep this place running well and it shows. You can absolutely tell they take pride in their work as well. Bathrooms are clean and tidy. Our server was a sweetheart. The food is SO fresh. My kid got fish & chips and I am so impressed with how golden and crisp the fish was. She was also really excited about the cake pop dessert. I got a Reuben because it isn’t often you see one on a menu. It didn’t disappoint! House made corned beef was :chefs kiss:. Coleslaw was creamy and delicious. Husband got the South west burger. Chili was fantastic and the fries were hot and well cooked. I am super excited about this place and can’t wait to come back. The building it’s in is really cool too. I love the hardwood floors and open beams. Thanks for a great visit.
This is not the place to go if you want well seasoned food, or great drinks. The food is mediocre. However, there is something charming about this place. The music wasnt too loud and there was a nice vibe (looks like we went on bingo night). I love that it opens til 1 am. Our server, Kaitlyn, was great!!
This place has fantastic food. We had the gouda bites for an appetizer and they were delicious. My husband ordered a beer and it arrived extremely quick. If you are looking for a place with great music and a very personable staff this is your place! Jess was our server and she was awesome. Will be back for sure!
We had a great time here last night. I wish I could upload videos on here to show you. There was live music, dancing and the service was fast and friendly. I ordered the Turkey Reuben and it was DEEEEELICIOUS. My best friend ordered the cheese steak and was equally impressed. We will definitely be back! 5 stars all the way! 🥰
What a lucky find this was. My family & I were passing through on the way to Atlanta and looking for a place for lunch that was dog friendly with a patio. This place fit the bill and our server Katelyn was so awesome! It was 90 degrees out and she immediately got some water for Charlie, our thirsty boi. Also she was super helpful with the menu and never kept us waiting. Great job and great food! Definitely would stop here again.
Love going to Center Street! Its right behind the main drag in Acworth so mostly locals are here. Usually very easy to get in and seated and theres almost always something going on....live band, trivia nights, etc. A menu with something for everyone, the quality of food is excellent, and cute historical venue. Although its all one room, one side is more for dining and one side has the bar.
The atmosphere was amazing, we went on live music night. Drinks were delish! The only thing I will say is Im black (and there were not many black people there) and the server was acting like she didnt believe that it was really me on my ID... she went through the ringer (asking me to verify my name, middle initial, date of birth, address) trying to see if I was the same person as on my ID which has NEVER happened to me before because I look exactly the same (just a different hair color but the picture is in black and white).... but anyway, I ended up showing her my debit cards with the matching name on it. Mind you, I dont wear any makeup at all and the ID is fairly recent too because I just went in and took another picture... so yeah it seemed VERY weird to me and I didnt see where the confusion was. I didnt like it. But maybe Im just being dramatic because I just started my period. Anyway, the food wasnt that great. The drinks were much better. Id go back if Im ever in the area again.
Since they opened this has been a favorite local venue. It doesnt hurt that the owner is a former classmate of Wife. The staff are fantastic. The food is a step or two above typical pub grub. Myself and friends have used the back room for intimate, i.e. small, special events and it has been perfect.
Half of my food wasnt there and when I called to let them know they didnt care. I told them I wasnt asking for a refund or free food, I was simply letting them know for the next customer, that would hopefully get all of theirs. They said they would let the manager know the following morning and someone would call me. Well they didnt. I ordered this as I got off work, I spent $70 for 2 people and drove home to Cartersville. She assured me everything was there so I kept it all package to keep it warm. The girl that took my order had been drinking, which I dont have a problem with, however I do have a problem leaving you a tip & not getting everything I asked for & then to be treated like it didnt matter.
Good place. The interior is neatly decorated, and they change it up frequently for the season. Good atmosphere. The menu is pretty good. Its not fantastic, but they have numerous signature dishes. The corn chowder is a good soup; the French dip, southwest burger, buffalo burger, and Santa Fe chicken are all good. I usually get the sweet potato fries, and theyre tasty. The service is good. Every time Ive been there, our server has checked on us a few times, though my drink has gone empty a few times (in fairness, I drink a lot). Ive never been offered a to-go drink.Theres not a lot of parking right by the tavern, but there are numerous other lots within easy walking distance. All in all, this is a good place. Not great, but good. I wouldnt go out of my way to check it out, but its worth dropping in to if youre around and looking for a good spot to eat.
Very Attentive staff who will make The most of any evening for you or any size party you may dine out with in Downtown Acworth. Patrons may also enjoy their spirits and drinks while in downtown Acworth by simply having them in plastic cups, which allows them to leave the tavern and travel by foot for a stroll around downtown Acworth. The food and spirits offered here are top notch. There is many places to park in and around Center Street Tavern, allowing less than a 5-minute walk from your car to the Tavern.
We will not go back, poor service and food.I had been a few times before after work and it was a good experience. I decided to take my family for dinner. We waited for 40 minutes for kids meal, salad and a chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was a special called the baconator. When it finally came out the bacon was cold and under cooked and the sandwich had tomatoes and lettuce which I asked to remove. As you can see from the picture the baconaror only has two under cooked pices of bacon. Turns out the chicken sandwich was two chicken fingers put on a bun. We had somewhere to be at the top of the hour and could not wait for them to cook a new sandwich. The waitress apologized and offered only to remove the sandwich from the bill. No other comp for the long wait our fact neither my wife or I could eat our dinner before we had to leave. The fries that came with my sandwich and my sons chicken fingers were both under cooked and not edible. Why cant places like this get the two most important things (food and service) right?
Our first visit was 50/50 within our party of 12. Some liked the food and some did not. This was a couple of months ago. My wife and I thought it was okay and attempted to dine here again on 6/19/2021. This time bringing along our teenage son. We are not locals but like the idea of supporting local shoppes and restaurants. We were greeted by the hostess and told that it would probably be about 20 minutes before we could be seated for lunch. We were in a small crunch for time having approximately an hour available. There were for certain, two tables open that had six chairs and one that had four chairs. I questioned the hostess about these open tables and was told that they had to be held for larger parties. I understand the six chair (empty) tables. I guess. But, the four chair? Not so much. I even asked about three empty chairs at the bar. I was told that those were for the servers. ??? By the way, there was a four chair table with two guys sitting at it while this conversation transpired. Which, further confused the larger party reasoning. I thanked the hostess, wished her a great day and we exited.I VERY seldom take to the internet to post anything negative. This one just hit my whole family wrong. We ended up enjoying lunch at Longhorns Steakhouse which is a few miles up the road.
I’ve been going to center street tavern since it opened. I’ve had infinite great experiences here. I love the owners and staff. They make you feel welcome and it has a “cheers” like atmosphere. The food is great, especially the wings. Kelly, Aaron, and Suzy always make me feel at home. Tonight, they made an important thing happen for my sister’s engagement. I can never thank them enough for what they do for me as a patron, but the community of acworth. If you’re looking for a great local spot, this is it! Also, they have a dog friendly patio, what more could you ask for!!
Great place, had some food and drink before my big day. Got married in front of the place, staff were so cool we all went back over after the wedding to party. It was great, had fun enjoying myself with family and friends on our special day. Thanks staff for letting us watch the game and get really tipsy. We blessed the staff very well for our fun memories. Thanks again
My family and I enjoyed everything about Center Street Tavern. Our server was friendly and professional, giving us insight to the menu as this was our first time eating here. The wings were the best we have had in the Kennesaw/Acworth area and the burgers are great! We have had a hard time finding good, local restaurants and this is a gem. We will be back for sure!
Im a local and this is one of my go-to spots. The food has never disappointed but for some reason every time we go we keep getting sat with the same server. Not going to name names but she always has a negative attitude and seems put off to help us when we actually manage to get her attention. We sat for 30 minutes one time waiting for her to come by so we could check out. She hardly checks up on us.. We have had an issue with her the past three times weve had her but never complained. Other than that Im giving this place 4 stars for the food and atmosphere and the drinks! They always give generous amounts of alcohol! The drinks are stronk ladies and gentlemen!.
The food was good, the bartender was nice to people she knew. Then some meth head came in and started being loud and scratching his back on the column at the bar and singing loudly out loud. Walking around and shouting conversations at everyone he knew Really not my thing.
I was in the area for several months for business and this was one of my favorite spots to eat. The staff was friendly and food always good. One of my favorite meals was the Southwest burger. They also have a good selection of beer. Good food, friendly staff and cold beer, it doesnt get any better for me.
The food was excellent and the service was fabulous! The live band was Great as always! The reason we went was for this particular brand The Cosmic Gypsies. Ive never been to this bar before but will definitely be back! The raw oysters were high quality and just about the best weve had! If you like raw oysters I highly recommend giving this place a try.
Good food! Server was attentive. The only thing I didnt like was our server used a pitcher to refill our waters as well as every other table. The concern was i watched her balance the pitcher on another guests cup. Hygiene in mind, it didnt seem proper for her to spread my back wash to other guests. When I waited table, I always brought a new glass to the table to prevent this like this.
What an unexpected gem, this place is. We had an eventful evening, even having opportunity to meet the proprietor. She was all class. Food was as great! Fried Pickle chips, lemon pepper wings for appetizers, a couple salads the French dip, the hangover burger and a huge chunk of chocolate cake sealed the deal... 4 happy plates, 4 full, content bellies and some memories! Thanks! #DontBeANick
Ill break my review down into 3 sections and rate them on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best:1. Staff: Rates an 8The staff was friendly and courteous2. Service: Rates a 2Our service, who knows why, was less than favorable. It took far too long to deliver a burger and sloppy Joe sandwich...almost an hour to get our food. And our waitress never came by to give any kind of update. A couple arrived after we did and received their food and had almost completed eating by the time our food arrived. Our server only refilled our drinks once and we had to track her down just to get the check.3. Quality of the food: This rates a 5 overallI ordered a sloppy Joe - was told it was good. It tasted good, but heres my issue. It was nothing special. It looked like the cook used an ice cream scooper and plopped it on the bottom bun and squished it with the top bun...reminded me of middle school. You may be saying first world problems...fair enough...but when you compare my sandwich to my wifes 3/4 thick black-n-bleu burger (which was quite tasty) that was very well dressed and presented nicely...well you get the picture. It just looked like my sandwich appeared to be phoned in.To wrap things up...we wont be going back any time soon.
The service was trash, our group waited at least 30 minutes after we were done with our meals before our plates were even taken. Then another 10 minutes for the checks, and then another 10 minutes for the waitress to come back and take our payment. Overall 0/10 would not recommend.....
Ive been here a bunch because its close and I can get drunk and still stagger home. Gotta take a star away due to the fact some of their food is very generic. Jack and Coke is 7 bucks. Come on now. Other than those gripes the food is usually on point and they even cook the burgers to order pretty well. Good ambiance and cool decorations. Service is consistent as well. Id recommend going if youre thinking about it.
Good variety of food. My favorites are chicken salad, wings, corned beef and cabbage, and burgers. If you ever get a chance to try their sloppy Joes on their specialty menu, do it! They are the best! Likewise for their ham and potato soup. Great servers. One little complaint, sometimes the chicken in the smothered chicken is tough. Just order something else.
Had a good time here for our first visit. The service was really good even though the place was packed. The live music was great and the drink selection was varied so everyone could find something they liked. We will be back to try the food as the dishes that were passing by us looked good.
I took s party of six there earlier today for lunch. Everyone loved their selections. I personally had the best Chefs Salad Ive ever had. The prices are moderate and the food is excellent. The server was very cordial and respectful to all of us. Center Street Tavern is a great choice for any one looking for a good meal at a fair price..
Food was good service was so so for Friday night wasnt that crowded. Wasnt greeted when my wife and I came in the door ended up walking ourselves to the bar after a few moments. Bar associate did offer drinks never was handed a menu like other patrons that came after us, ultimately not a horrible experience but would much rather spend my money elsewhere.
A couple of my friends and I dined in the other night and I just want to say I’m super thankful for the staff and Aaron for making such an important night happen for us! They were very accommodating and helpful with anything that was asked. Great food and an even better time. Thank y’all so much for everything. We will certainly be back!
Center Street Tavern is absolutly incredible! From the service to the food to the drinks and entertainment. It just won the golden spatula for a top-notch restaurant the bathrooms are always clean theres so much to do there its just a really incredible spot I recommended to everybody with children and or older crowds that want to go have something to drink and maybe listen to a live band or do some karaoke. I go there all the time I will never go anywhere else for my entertainment food or drink!!!
Sorry, but the food was good only, not great. The sweet potatoes fries seemed like they might have come from a frozen bag, and the French Dip was very bland except for the horseradish. None of the three of us appreciated the sugar on the French fries. On the other hand, by son liked the heat of the Red Rage Buffalo sauce on his deep fried burger. My other son thought the jerk chicken taco didnt have a lot of flavor either.
My food got sat down and when I went to take a bite, multiple flies flew out. One of the servers said, you shouldve been watching your food so you can shoo them away. It was a salad and I never even took one bite. It looked sooo good. I was with a table of people and they all agreed the amount of flies that flew out of it after sitting for less than10 min was awful. I had also gotten a drink so I went to the bar manager and paid for a drink and left a $10 tip because one of the servers was fine and he was fine, but it was ridiculous. I was perfectly calm and nice about it until I heard her yelling about me to the back and she even said shed be paying for my dinner. What?!?! If you have a fly problem indoors that bad, give me a paper napkin if youre setting my food down and Ill cover it. Granted those flies were deep in the salad so who knows if they werent already in there.
The people are nice. However, they put the cake I brought for my daughters birthday in the fridge after I said twice dont put it in the fridge. So the cake was ice cold when we served it. My medium rare burger was more than well done with no garden. When my recooked burger came back, still no garden. Even though I had asked for it.
It seems like the local sophomore class is entirely responsible for running this place on weekends. Our party of 10 just wanted drinks and burgers. The hostess made it seem like a huge deal to seat us together. We had to ask for menus. We had to repeatedly get a waitresss attention to order. The portions were weird...like we have a deep dish of queso and about 15 chips. For sharing...Would not ever go there again.
Really cool place of an out of towner! Staff was super friendly and attentive. Good use of their floor space, I didnt feel like we were crammed in even though every table was filled. Clean and stocked restrooms. We were a party of 3 and got sat in less then 10 min on a Friday evening. A couple of gents with acoustic guitars singing classic rock and easy going music. TI had the corn beef dinner...SOOOO good! And SOOO much... I shared and still had left overs.
Neat, local hometown spot. Good beer selection and the food is good. The wait, at times, for food can be a bit long but it is refreshing to see everything being cooled to order. Restaurant is in a verybold repurposed hardware store with original floors and ceiling timbers. Cool place...and the kids meals come with cake pops, which my little ones adore.
Do not eat here. Food is good but management allows employees to smoke and drink inside the restaurant. I watched 2 employees vape inside while we waited for our food. I asked our waiter to ask her to stop. She did but then the manager (older gray haired lady) allowed her to continue to vape when she moved to the main bar area. I brought my family for good food. Not lung cancer.
Literally no customer service whatsoever. Their menu advertised free kids meal with adult entree on Wednesdays yet when we ordered kids meals they charged us for them and claimed that its only after 4pm even though their menu DOES NOT SAY THAT ANYWHERE! Manager only wanted to comp ONE kids meal even though their were 2 adults and 2 children. The waiter also had no idea about menu items and couldnt answer a question as simple as is there any sugar in the slaw. After we spoke to the manager we overheard the waitresses gossiping about us and our concerns. If I could leave zero stars I would.
My husband and I went here for dinner. Wanted to try something NEW and Local. Atmosphere was very nice and staff friendly. We ordered our food and had issues with both our meals. Mine I could not eat because of the spices - Server immediately changed it with no issues. My husbands burger (THE HANGOVER) came out underdone for his liking. CHEF Z (WONDERFUL WONDERFUL) came immediately over asked about our issues fussed over us like we were the only two in the restaurant. Chef Z made everything perfect and all ended EXTREMELY WELL.WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK AGAIN.
Center Street was a terrible experience for our friends and family. It took 3 days to make a party reservation after calls were not returned by management. Upon arrival, our apps were cold and had to be sent back. Our party of 20 got food sporadically over the course two hours. Some in our party had eaten and left by time my husband and I got our food two hours after ordering, and I had a salad. The servers were not helpful or apologetic. After dinner, we tried to play darts in the back room. The waitress in the back acted as if we were annoying her and the bar only had 2 darts so we could not play. It is disappointing that the management and waitstaff do not treat their paying customers like priorities.
Ive only visited one time but the one time was 5 stars and we discovered a laid back vibe. My friend and I had the chili cheese tater tots for an appetizer then we shared 20 wings (10 Parmesan Cheese & 10 Sweet & Spicy). There are plenty of TVs inside, there is outdoor seating if you prefer, and there is a full service bar with beer, wine, & hard drinks. The inside main area is hardwood & open rafters so it does get a bit noisy. There is a separate room that is dedicated to dart throwing or could be used for a quiet area if darts arent being thrown. The table service was friendly and prompt.
Love this place!!💕 I live a block or two away so it’s very convenient but even if it wasn’t, I would still love this place!!!! Black & bleu burger, fried pickles, oysters Rockefeller, good music, live on Saturdays, just to name a few of my favorite things about The Tavern. An old boss of mine used to get a chicken salad sandwich for lunch everyday! Seriously when my husband asks “where do you want to eat?” I always answer with The Tavern 💕
Went into this place with wife and a couple of friends for dinner and drinks. Its a standard bar and grill set up with hostess seating, standard large dining room and long bar with maybe 15 chairs. They have several beers on tap, and have daily specials on food and drinks. We ordered drinks, which for us consisted of Yuengling on tap for $3, which is a good price for a bar.My friend ordered a large burger that had everything on it, but I cant remember the name now, nor do I think its on the menu, but basically its a big burger loaded up with beef patty, cheese, bacon, ham, mushrooms, onions, and Im not sure what else but it was tall and massive and he said it was good.No one else ate as the rest of the menu is standard bar food and a little pricey for bar food, so we decided to eat somewhere else.Nice atmosphere, will return for drinks maybe next time were at the lake unless we can find somewhere close that has similar drink choices and better food choices and prices.
Seems like everything we wanted to order they were out of. What a joke. My wife ordered a veggie burger that IS on the menu and the waitress said they havent had them in five years. She acts like she doesnt care at all and looks strung out. This place is horrible. We wont be back.
This place has a cool bar and live music multiple days a week which is a plus. However, if you are going to eat, the wait staff is awful and the food is mediocre even by bar food standards. The best chance to get a drink is to sit at the bar or to personally know someone on the wait staff, otherwise expect a long wait. I live in Acworth and have gone to this place at least 25 times in the past 18 months. I keep giving them a chance because it is so close but tonight was the last straw. There were maybe 4 tables seated in the place when we walked in (around 6PM), at least 3 maybe 4 wait staff. We sat for more than 5 minutes and no one came to the table to take a drink order or food order. We sat 10 feet from the bar and 5 feet from the hostess station and no one bothered to ask if we needed anything. This is not the first time it has happened. We left and went to another eating/drinking place within a block (a very busy place and if you know Acworth, you know exactly what place I am talking about) and had our drinks within the first 3 minutes of walking in, and the food in less than 10 minutes made by a professional chef. Sad that this place cannot be better.
Should of went to Chilis like we planned tonight! Searched online and found this place and saw they had Stemmed Oysters! So we have to try, well this was a one and done! Weve recently moved to Kennesaw in Dec of 2018 from Florida. Sat at the bar ordered our drinks and when they came, ordered our appetizer and our dinner! Waited, waited and waited some more.... After I drank my drink the bartender asked if I wanted another drink and I asked where were our Oysters, she said the usual guy who shucks wasnt there tonight and were gonna have to wait a little longer... Another 10 min goes by and my lady see a server bringing Oysters to the bar but when the bartender sees them she notices they were not steamed but raw! Shes sends them back and proceeds to let us know they were gonna be longer and she would remove them from the bill....I truly hope so.... At this juncture our dinner has arrived and we begin eating, halfway through our dinner the Oysters arrive, again not steamed (you can tell by there look)....I like raw Oysters but my lady does not, she attempts to eat one and refuses anymore, I eat a couple more and I notice they are still cold.... Moral of this story, should of gone to Chilis like we originally planned... The bartender apologies a couple more times and says we should return again, she should of touch base with us allot earlier and we could of made another choice or not at all! Sad we wanted a local dive near with oysters.... Guess we gonna find somewhere else.... Sad! ☹️
I ordered the pork chops. Well, I was extremely surprised how thin they were. They were less than 1/4 thick, or should I say thin. They also had a ring of fat and some small bones in them, so by the time I took the fat off and the bones out, I truly had maybe 3oz of meat. They were tough and over cooked. Not a pleasant experience.
If I could leave 0 I would. Walked in, was sat at bar, did not receive service for 12 + minutes. Got up and walked out. Could be the best food in all of GA, but if you are never served youll never know. When I say did not received service, I attempted to flag waiters down and was ignored. And it was t even busy. Pitiful. Will never go back. After reading other reviews seems to be a recent and common theme. Wish I had done so before and saved my time.
I feel like Center Street Tavern is going to be one of those places that everyone knows about but no one knows about. They have so many great things going for them. Im not really sure why people are saying the service is slow or terrible unless they are the type to expect royalty everywhere they go. This place has a lot of mystery to it. You have to explore when you go in. If not you wont see what Im talking about. They dont mind you looking around just be friendly and ask questions. They have a good beer selection and it seems to be expanding to kraft beer. I havent tried the food yet but I will next time.
I have been here a bunch of times love the food, drinks and overall the experiences have been great with the exception of the last few times. Friday night about a month ago I was up there with some buddys after a wedding and the bartender seemed less then thrilled with us. When Im with a large group standing around we tend to just pay our tabs as we go and this seemed to be an issue with the bartender as he acted like we were a nuisance to him and like the tips were less than subpar. (same guy who yelled at my friend months back for a bad tip)Super Bowl Sunday my wife and I decided to stop in for a quick drink before the game started and of course it was the same bartender that I had a few weeks back. Once again he seemed to be in a miserable mood and we could overhear him discussing his personal issues- not my place to repeat on here. I can sympathize but its not the right place to do that especially when its at your place of employment, makes the whole establishment look bad.I dont like to complain or write bad reviews but this clearly needs to be addressed by management.I hate to be THAT person but I will not be coming back on nights that this guy works.
Bars and beer selection are famous in atlanta. This location doesnt have a special feel about it but instead more of a traditional bar.The food was decent. I liked the meatballs. The service was really bad. Literally every employee I met was short and cold to me.Still as Acworth grows its better than nothing.
Was very excited to find new bar close by in old building in old Town Acworth. Great food menu selection, so-so on beer selection, clean and great ambiance, but the service was slow. Ordered fish n chips, chips were great, but fish had way too much breading and it was like a bread breading, soft and twice as much breading as the fish, very disappointed. Looked to be alot of locals but I wont be going back.
Center Street Tavern is one of the best restaurants around Acworth for many reasons. First off the atmosphere is very laid back and inviting. If its your first time going there I would highly recommend the Salmon entrée & buffalo shrimp, its amazing! I have always had a good experience with the servers there. Try this place out, you will not be disappointed!
The food is excellent, but some of the persons employed at this establishment lack in professionalism. I called to place a to-go order ten minutes prior to the opening of the restaurant. The young lady answering the phone told me she could go ahead and place my order to be ready in approximately twenty minutes, BUT they were not open for business yet and told me remember that before you call next time. Huh! Why answer the phone if you are not open for business? Guess I dont quite understand.
Avoid these pathetic, racists individuals. I attended the Taste of Acworth on October 13th and noticed this place. I walked up to the stand and waited for someone to ask pretty much for any assistance but no one approached me. However, while I was there waiting 2 white white came in behind me and immediately the people behind the bar went to them and asked have they been helped. I was there before both of them and standing next to them and not once did the personal behind the counter approach me. Racism is real in this place, I cannot imagine what they would have done to my food if I would have eat at the Restaurant
So disappointed in this venue. My sorority choose this bar as their host for a Halloween party and I took some friends with me to go. My friends and I merely stepped outside to smoke a cigarette, as we walked back in, the owners told us that we had to leave the bar completely because minors are not allowed to walk out and then back in. We were never told that this was a policy of theirs, nor was there someone at the door to ensure people do not walk in and out to make the same mistake as us. Being all the way in Kennesaw and taking a 20 minute drive to Acworth and only being at this event for 30 minutes and being kicked out for such a silly reason is ridiculous. On top of that, a staff member of the bar approached one of my friends who was wearing stilettos and made a rude comment of her resembling a stripper. Very dissatisfied with my experience here.

2022-03-28Definitely Acworth’s best kept secret! The food is so delicious we went two days in a row. The staff is very friendly and the food is just amazing. They have great options and my son loved his cake pop with his kids meal. We can’t wait to come back!

2021-05-25After a few hours of playing at Lake Acworth, it was time for a cold drink and snack. Conveniently located in downtown Acworth, CST is a great place to stop for dinner or drinks. The staff was very friendly and chatty. They welcomed us warmly as visitors. Our server gave us great insights on menu items and shared some highlights about the area. Food and drinks were well presented and prepared. Very tasty and enjoyed on the newly remodeled deck and outdoor seating area. Dont hesitate, stop in!

2022-07-07Still one of my favorite places to get constantly great food and drinks. The french dip is my go to even though it has changed over the years. Bar and wait staff has always been great all the times I have been.

2022-03-20I shall say it was okay. The wait was very long to get food but thats always a give or take with restaurants. I tried the buffalo shrimp and the buffo fried burger. The buffalo shrimp was quite good Id say. The burger on the other hand... Was quite gross. It wasnt the worst thing it just seemed like it was burnt, it was a smoky flavor but it wasnt a good one. But the French fries were very delicious. I did enjoy those. But yeah its alright.

2021-06-13Fantastic place! The wings are amazing, the red rage sauce is just hot without making you too thirsty. But even if you require a drink the local beer selections are top notch and a perfect pairing.

2022-03-19Me and a buddy came here after a tennis match one night and it was pretty poppin in there, but we could tell the waitress was a little bothered by us coming in to order food. They stop taking food orders at 10pm but they stay open til 1pm. We got there around 9:40pm, ordered our food as we got beer and wings. The wings were crispy like I like them and the sauces were good. They overseasoned my buddies wings though, and I give them a 4 star because of that and due to the price point of the food here! Get ready to spend about $30 for 10 wings, Fries and 1 beer. Overall, Ill give it a decent/good experience!

2022-02-20We went by for dinner the other night. The atmosphere was good and the place was clean. Our food, two burgers with fries, took an abnormally long time to come out. Our server never came by between when we ordered and when the food finally came out, but when it was time to go she was more attentive (get that tip). I will note that our order was accurate when it did come out, though the fries were a bit undercooked. My guess is that since they busy they rushed on those. All-in-all, it was just rather average. If we lived nearby I’d give it another chance, but won’t be driving out of our way.
