My steak was perfect, juicy and cooked just right. Baked potato was warm, butter didnt even melt in it. I took it home and ate it the next day for lunch. Broccoli salad, delicious. Tea, excellent . Bathrooms were nasty. Really bad. I probably wont go back. A meal needs more than just a perfect steak. Bathrooms are important when you are my age, 73
The food was really good. I was surprised that the gravy was on the fried chicken instead of in the side. Most restaurants ask if you want it on the side.The croissants were so delicious that I asked for 2 more. The waitress loudly said that I would have to pay for those, they were not FREE. My husband and I were so embarrassed. I could not eat another bite. I got my food to go.
So, we have been here for over 2 hours. Finally got our water with a bowl of lemon and the lemons have been ate and there was rice in the bowl of lemons too. We are still sitting here waiting for the rest of our drinks and our food. Service is poor, and customer service is ridiculous.
We live an hour away; my daughter and I are both nurses and I wanted to pick up dinner. I have never dined at this restaurant so decided to try it tonight. After driving an hour home I realized there was no gravy for the meal. Just a battered steak. Carrots are over cooked and shriveled, cheesecake leaked in the bag and me when I removed it ( most likely due it being placed against hot food).Extremely disappointed with the entire experience.
This is the second time ordering for curbside pickup and the second time I didnt receive my order until at least 30 minutes after I checked in. This time it was almost an hour before I received it. I had to call to check in, fine. Whatever. Gave the woman the number I was parked at. This was at 5:06. At 5:50, I flagged down the ONLY person running out the orders, he said he my order has been sitting there but didnt know it was mine. 5 other people had left their cars to go inside to get their food because they too were still waiting. The food is good, but curbside pickup is absolutely the WORST.
This was my first time going to this restaurant. My party and I had to wait 45 minutes for a table, which I guess was understandable for a Friday night. We finally get our table and order our drinks and food. My husband ordered fries with his food. The server came back 5 mins later to say they ran out of fries 🤦🏾♀️🙄.The drinks took 15 mins to get back to the table. Our food came 15 minutes after that. The server did not bring any silverware to eat with our food. She said she would bring some when she came back and when she came back she didn’t come back with the silverware. At this point I was boiling hot mad. My food was getting cold. several items on our Order in my party was not cook correctly suck as a steak that was supposed to be well done but still pink in the middle. I asked to speak with a manager and she took a little while before she came out. At that point my appetite and meal was ruined and I was in all honesty hungry as hell. All I wanted was a fork and I would have not complained but they took too long with EVERYTHING. I will not be back for another experience. I should have just went to longhorn steak house.
This place is filthy. We got seated to two tables that was not cleaned. The floors had so much trash on them around and under the tables. Flies swarming everywhere and we haven’t gotten any food we ordered. Waitress had no hair restraints on. The health department needs to come in and inspect this place
Enjoyed my time here for my God Baby Bday. She had a great time. The New Watermelon Frozen Margarita was good. The ribs and chicken was also good and hot. The waiter Brittany and the new girl she was training did a great job. So glad this time was better than the last.
The food was less than average. The place is FILTHY. The floors are covered in food and dirt. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. We ordered my child a grilled cheese. When it came to the table the cheese fell out of the sandwich.Only 2 stars because the server was amazing, noticed the sandwich and took it off our check.
I rarely leave reviews..but I had to here. Don’t waste your time.Understaffed—35 min wait (we were first in line)Unclean—place was filthy.Food was NOT good. I got a steak, which is not hard to do, ordered medium rare. First steak to come out was..blue. Not medium rare, not rare..it would have been better cooked if the cow had just died. Sent it back, and the next steak was the same steak! Attempt number three, and guess what? Same steak! The outside had been seared to a crunchy crisp, the inside was barely edible. I asked for the check..and was actually being charged for it?! Please people, look elsewhere for dining.
It was my birthday, I ordered a simple hamburger plate. My son was treating me out. The hamburger was horrible! I told my son if they can sell hamburgers and build this kind of place think of what are hamburgers to build. The cheddar casserole tasted old. And we got chocolate cake with ice cream and the chocolate cake was all dried out and it was ice cold and she somebody put Hersheys syrup all over it. Bad bad bad bad! The lady was nice so we tiped her a good tip.
Ya Gotta love Cheddars they great food! And they have the most courteous, hardest working staff, whether you dine-in or take-out you get great service. Please everybody lets remember during this time of low employment to be kind to all our restaurant employees that work drive-thru, delivery and curbside. They are working extra extra hard. They deserve a big hands up! Oh and dont forget try the Monte Cristo Sandwich you will love it!!!
My son and his family took me there on Saturday, before Mothers Day. The wait was too long (1 hour). The food and tea was below par. Tea was like syrup. Even my half and half had to be cut again. My green beans were cold and tasted like they had sugar in it, as did my sons Cole slaw. The meats werent any better. The best thing was the server. shame to pay that% kind of money for food like that. Oh, if u are not extremely hot blooded, wear a jacket$
They seated us way in the back by an emergency exit that we later realized my have been open recently because we started seeing a few gnats and flies after our food was delivered. A fly was in one of our refills when we discreetly brought it to the attention of the wait staff the manager came over asked what the problem was and then she looked at us strange and asked did we want anything else to drink we said no and she had the waiter bring back the check minus the cost of the beverages. No apology no explanation. It was later we realized they must have thought we put the fly there ourselves even after we tried not to call attention to the situation with the fly.
I usually dont have a problem with Cheddars to go but tonight I did. Was told my order would be ready at 730pm and it still wasnt ready at 801pm and when we got it things were missing. Are food that is ready was now getting cold while we waited on the food they forgot. I asked for the manager which took at least 10 minutes for her to come out. When she finally came out I explained the situation to her and honestly she acted like she didnt care. Not very good customer service at all. She needs a new job
We arrive ahead of the rest of the party thinking the reservation had been made, but we quickly learned that you cant reserve a place, so we were seated but took about and hour before we were served.The waiter started cleaning the table before we finished eating. The food was good...
Whelp. First, there was a hair in my food. I had to send it back. Manager never came and spoke to us or did anything about it. When my husband asked for the manager the waiter said they couldn’t come talk to us. They also brought plastic utensils and my husband ordered a steak. He had to cut it with his pocket knife. Very disappointed.
Visited this past Saturday Feb. 29th 2020 (leap year) Our server was great and very attentive the wait time was a short 20 mins. The food changed a bit and could have been better prepared! My husband had the honey hot tenders and they were barely coated... def needed more sauce on the side to fully cover! I normally always get the chicken Cesar Pasta Salad and it regularly came with grilled chicken! It now comes with shaved chicken! 👎🏾! The bread was delicious as always! If you like super strong drinks I recommend getting the drinks but if you like your drink more fruity like myself.. this may not be the place to order a drink from! I couldn’t even drink it! On the plus side the drinks are fairly inexpensive! I don’t think you can go wrong with eating here! Go ahead and give it a try.
Arrived at this Cheddar’s location for dinner on Sunday 4/3. Had a reasonable wait before seating. Our drink order was taken, then our food order taken sometime later. Our food arrived, but we had no silverware to eat with. We ask for our waitress, who never appeared. We ask several passing wait persons if they could get us silverware or find our waitress. As our food got cold, still no silverware. I approached the seating desk and ask for silverware. Finally, a grudging response from a person, whom upset we had ask for silverware, appeared with the silverware. By this time the food was barely warm. My steak was so tough, it was almost not chewable. My order included a coleslaw side, that never appeared with my order, until our waitress finally returned.Overall, the service was at best, bad, the food was quality was poor. The general attitude of the staff, it appeared, was, we could care less, lax and reflected negatively upon the Cheddar establishment. We are longtime Cheddar customers, of many States and locations. As a rule, Cheddar service and food selections are very good, thus keeping our interest as return customers. However, this Cheddar’s was a definite exception! I rate this Cheddar’s as very poor!!👎😠🤨🤔location
Im not sure why I keep giving this location chances…I’ve ordered things in the past and ended up getting a refund because what i ordered was burnt. Tonight I ordered a dessert and my ice cream wasn’t included, only to be told “oh I forgot to tell you we’re out of ice cream, what we do have is melted” so my questions are did anybody see that my dessert came with ice cream? What’s the point in leaving a phone number if nobody will call if there’s an item not in stock?” Im officially done with Cheddars in Columbus, Ga…
WE at there with friends tonight. I got the Chicken Pot Pie. It was just okay. KFC has a better one at half the price. One of our group got the fish and shrimp. He didnt care for it. Another got grilled chicken. It was mediocre. I checked out on their machine and after processing it I was given two choices. Email receipt or no receipt. I dont give out my email address to anyone who wants it so I asked the server for a paper receipt. She disappeared. Never saw her again, Service was mediocre at best. Ill try it again in a few years. Or maybe not.
This is a reminder of why you shouldn’t go to chain restaurants. Everything frozen and overcooked, sauces overly sugary for no reason, nothing is seasoned. The croissants are very clearly the pop can kind, chicken tenders are better at Popeyes, salmon dry and boring. If you want anything to actually be made from scratch, go to a local restaurant instead. Also it gave me food poisoning to top it all off. The staff was friendly and kind, nothing to do with them.
Overall cleanliness of the restraint was lacking, the floor needed to be swept (misc trash and straw wrappers just laying around) and the area smelled like sour mop water. The first 2 empty plates they gave us had food spots and were still wet from the washer, we asked for clean and dry plates and got 2 more half washed plates. Wont be returning.
I gave them five stars only because I love their food but on this particular visit I thought I could get my food quicker if I went in and ordered my takeout but the wait was an hour for takeout I could have got served quicker if I would have went in but I wasnt in the mood to dine with strangers if they can fix that wait time for take out and then Ill have .no problem giving five stars across the board from me
Arrived about 6:45 pm and was able to get seated in 5 minutes. Service was a bit slow and we had a couple of items that didnt come out until our waiter was reminded. The food however was very good, as was the shaker margarita. Great idea sending the margarita in a shaker. You get a nice drink and a little exercise too! The onion rings are awesome, the buttered off the cob corn and green beans are excellent sides.
Pretty awful. The place was dirty, the floor looked like it hadnt been swept in weeks, my menu had dried food on it. And the condiments on the table were absolutely disgusting. Service was ok, but slow. I was afraid to use the restroom because I didnt want to see it since the dining room was so horrible. Plus the phone rang off the hook the entire time we were there. No one would answer it! Pretty annoying.
Cheddars has changed a lot over the past few years and not for the best, atleast not in my opinion. I ordered the grilled bourbon glazed salmon with broccoli and salad and of course it comes with rice. The rice was hard like it was old or it wasnt cooked, and Im sure the cook saw it when they put it on the plate. This isnt the first time but something was floating around in our drinks and I didnt like the waitress attitude when I mentioned it to her.
Shakayla was our server on 2 separate occasion she is so sweet and know her stuff you dont have to wait for anything when she comes to greet you she comes with a smile and bread which is top notch customer service ! If you want a good server ask for her I know I will from now on !! Thanks
If I could give a zero rating I most definitely would. I had a 9:50 pickup order on Saturday 6/10/2022. I parked in the spot and checked in on the app. There was a car parked next to me and I noticed that they got out, and came back with their food. I watched as employees came and went, 2 came out to smoke. After waiting 20 minutes past my pick up time I had to walk in the side door myself. NO ONE approached me to see if i needed help. My food was bagged and sitting on a side table with my name on it. I picked it up and started to walk out and someone came over to ask my name so they could check my food out. No apology or anything. Our food was cold, steaks were overcooked, our side dishes were about half portions. We will not be back and will never recommend this place to anyone else.
The food at Cheddars has its for days and bad days. My family and I went for dinner. It was a 15 minute wait which was okay. I ordered the baked Spasagna. It barely had cheese on the top the inside was a tad dry. Another dish we ordered was sent out like it has been eaten off of. It was like 2 tablespoons of rice on the plate and the presentation was awful. The chef did come to the table and he corrected the issue. Despite this could be better visit, we will continue to have dinner here. I would suggest a presentation check before orders are sent out. Thank you
Terrible customer service!! The restaurant was extremely cold and the manager refused to accommodate and allow us to sit outside or adjust the temperature. Also it took so long to receive silverware that our food got cold, on TOP of it being over cooked. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED DON’T GO HERE!
I went around 3pm and did not have to wait at all. The hostess was very nice and our waitress was amazing. She legitimately checked on us about every 5-10 minutes. Very pleasant. The food was excellent and the drinks were amazing. I would encourage you to try one of their signature drinks Maui Margarita. This establishment was clean, and very well maintained. Our dishes were clean and there wasnt a single dirty dish left on our table for longer than 2 minutes. Overall, I would highly recommend this establishment. It seems to have an upscale feel over a restuarant such as Applebees.
Blown away on how bad this place was. Ill be honest i thought it was just because we are from so.cal but it was a sign when a local family walked out 2 min. after we were seated. Ill hit you with the highlights. That family had walked out because the staff cleaned up a spilled drink by using the mop on the floor then right to the table with the mop. All over the place was used wet rags. The place smelt horrible. We should have walked out but we waited a hour for a table. So decided to risk it. With the smell and dirty rags we all felt like we were going to get sick. The food was maybe 5/10. I will say our server was new and was doing a better job then her trainer. Life is a risk. Good luck out there.
I swear this was the last time I will ever go to a cheddars. We chose to give them another chance, since we were in a different state. Nope same terrible service & just ok food.Our seats were nasty & after I asked them to be cleaned, the hostess left the seats wet. Did she really believe that we were just going to sit on wet seats? Yes she did. I took the menu & fanned the seats until they were dry.
We always enjoy eating here. We dont normally come on Sundays because of the after church rush, but we got there about 15 min after they opened. We were greeted and seated right away, and our waiter, Derek, was super on it. Food was wonderful as usual (chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli cheddar cassarole, and ribs & grilled shrimp with caesar salad and broccoli cheese casserole), service was perfect, and as always... prices are amazing!! My 4-year-old ordered the man n cheese off the kids menu, and hated it... not a cheese blend that we use I suppose. I even tried to salt & pepper it, but I swear it made it worse, lol. She enjoyed the heck out of my ribs though!!
Im a regular customer, always order the same thing and today it was horrible... No silverware at the time the food came out, as a result my food got cold... Review my order twice and still got it wrong, the sirloin was over seasoned (spicy), the waitress gave me the check without asking for it and no dessert was offered... Horrible service
I went in to eat lunch with my son today and sat at the table waiting for 25 minutes. Nobody greeted me or came over to our table, so I asked the hostess if there was a server working in our section and she proceeded to tell me the bar tender was working. I said okay and went back to my table. The bar tender looked over at me and my son sitting at our table and proceeded to Take a order from two other couples that were at the bar that were seated after us. I waited a few more minutes and decided to leave. I asked to speak with the manager prior to leaving. It took the manager about ten minutes to come out of the kitchen. When I let him know about the issue I experienced he just said “yes ma’am”. I will not return to the location to eat although my family and I used to love coming here. The service isn’t the same. Customer service goes a long way and I didn’t experience any good customer service today from this restaurant. The least the manager could have done was apologize but I didn’t get that either. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Do better! Teach your employees how to be wonderful servers and provide excellent service to their customers.
The food here is pretty good. I ordered the Grilled Salmon which comes with rice and two sides of your choosing. I chose mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. The grilled Salmon was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were made from scratch. The macaroni and cheese fell a little flat but was still pretty average.The quality of service is where Cheddars lost another star. The waiting time for a 3 person group on a Friday evening was about 15 minutes which was expected due to the amount of patrons there. They text you when your table is ready. The waiter was very slow. It took about 20 minutes after us being seated for him to get our drink orders. Then it took additional time for us to actually receive our drinks. The appetizer didnt take too long to get to our table. The entrees did take a long time. After we finished the waiter took entirely too long to close out our check. We were waiting an additional 30 minutes just to pay and get our cards / change back. The experience was overall a 3 star experience. Youre likely to leave here full but frustrated.
Enjoyed the time at this restaurant. Had a super nice and attention server. Food portions were plentiful. Food came out hot and smoking. The inside of the restaurant was freezing and the bathroom was BEYOND filthy. Someone needs to check the bathrooms more. Just Gross.
My first time eating anything from this establishment.reason for that is because it is always so crowded which was the reason I did Curbside; very popular establishment in my community. However my first experience will probably be my last for a while because the food was very Mediocre at best: The sauce on the Chicken Alfredo was not good, it was curdled, tasted very Bland, and there wasnt enough of it to fully cover the few pieces of Chicken and Noodles...Ive never seen it made with extra large Penne/Ziti type Noodles.... Poorly made Entree. I know its was Curbside but their still needs to be some attention given to presentation..Example: my son ordered The Smokehouse Burger and when he removed it from the bag it was unrecognizable...The slice of Tomato that came with Burger was so over ripened that when my son went to construct the burger it literally fell apart in his hand. The Bun ( I believe it was a Brioche) was very dark and had been baked or toasted too long. It was just short of being burnt.The reason I gave 3 Stars was for the Curbside Service not the food. It was execellent! The best by far in my community...they have an execellent system in place where they notify you, and you check in once you parked, they get your food to you and youre out in no time. Execellent customer service! Just do a better job with the food. Attention to details!
I love Cheddars but the local Cheddars Im Columbus is so not what i was expecting; the food is either old or cold when u get it the waiters some of then tend to get an attitude about taking the food back to get fixed and tha bathrooms wow extremely nasty and constantly with an odor. If it wasnt for their Crossants being so good I would have given them a 2 star review.
Worst experience ever at this location. Tried to order a hamburger, we were told they were out. Settled on the Buffalo chicken wrap with fries and a baked potato. Fries were cold, chicken inside the wrap was cold, baked potato was very cold and would not melt the butter. Canceled lunch and went home.
Worst experience! It was very slow when we got there, took our waiter about 20 minutes to take our drink order, ordered food at that time, waited another 20 minutes for our drinks, food came almost immediately after... Food was wrong, our waiter never returned to check on us. We had to flag him down for our check. There couldnt have been more then 10 tables there at the time we went, no excuse.
There service is always great but the restaurant is always dirty. Like dirty dirty lol like trash on the floors and smells like mop buckets. For some reason everyone including my girlfriend wants to stop in and eat. We had our first date here and when we go back Im so disgusted I just have a beer then Im ready to go. Our most recent visit we found a onion in the Queso dip and more trash on the floor. Cmon guys
We came here as a family for my dads birthday dinner and we waited 20 miniutes to get a table they sat us down and there was spit up food all over the ground so we went to a different table and there were roaches at that booth its was unsanitary there was waitresses bussing tables and that is cross contamination, and i saw a waitress she had long acrylic finger nails. So we finally found a clean booth and sat down for another 20 miniutes and nobody came and asked what we wanted to drink or anthing but then this sweet waitress named Aurora came and took our order and lets say it was her first week there and she was doing phenomenal she was the only smiling employee working she deserves a high raise for her hard work and putting on a positive attitude ,by the way the food was on point my only thing was they are not sanitary and they need to get a health Inspection and they need to hire people that wanna do there job.
Very disappointed food wasnt cooked ,,,burger was raw ,took 30 minutes for server to come back and check on us ,and I told him I cant eat raw hamburger and he said well you want us to cook it some more and I said no the bun is full of blood and he said ok and walked off,,,,I am not gonna go back ever ,,
We got our food before our drinks. Had to ask for everything silverware, napkins, straws, and had to even request my salad and my appetizer over and over. Was not greeted when walked in the lady just stood there talking with her friend and her friend didn’t see us but when she did she was the one who helped us out. Then they took us around the whole restaurant to be seated back at the front come on cheddars get your stuff together. To top it off there were 4 employees that walked in this restroom and all said the same thing “I will get someone to clean this nasty mess up. We went to the restroom twice once when we got there and once before we left and it still was the same.
I went to this place on Mother’s Day to eat and this was by far the worst experience ever.The staff was rude and the restaurant itself was nasty as hell and I don’t see how they expect people to dine there to eat.They need to fire the whole staff and start all over.I was very disappointed.
I have been to 3 different states and everyone of these restaurants have been good. Food is always on par the service is great and the prices cant be beat. Angela our server was incredible and her professionalism was top notch. Cheddars will always be a place to eat for our family. 👍
We stood in the waiting area of the restaurant for too long before someone acknowledged us. We could see the staff members having a personal conversation over at the bar as we continued to wait. Finally, one of the girls came over and seated us and introduced us to our waitress who was super friendly and sweet. We got an appetizer and once we finished it, our waitress never cleared it, even after our entrees came. She was attentive with refills but never cleared any of the empty glasses. Our table was jam packed with empty plates and empty glasses the entire evening. The food was warm and tasty, but my boyfriend’s chicken was undercooked. Good, not great.
My server was Marina. She was so friendly. I didnt have to wait on anything. If I would have had more her tip would have bigger. The atmosphere was so cozy. I enjoyed my meal. Please make sure she knows that she is doing an awesome job. Please keep on making people happy. Be blessed young lady.
My wife and I have been to this restarant for several years. Usually a good experience... but lately.. what is going on???? Short staffed, short on food and this last time ...treated so badly just trying to be seated that we just left...my money is green and it spends wherever I like it to. We went to a competitor snd experienced a great time.
Long wait times when there is hardly anyone there - short staffed, ok I get it. Food took forever, then was wrong. Had to send back and take it to go because we already had been there awhile. Got home to finally eat & it really was still not right luckily we did not bother to eat ours since it was wrong because 2 hours later, my daughter threw up every bite of food she ate. Place has gone all the way downhill & made 2yo sick!! Do not waste your money or your time!
This place is FILTHY! The ladies bathroom was disgusting. No toilet paper, no paper towels. Just nasty. The floor and booth was nasty. The whole place was nasty. We got our appetizer before our water and tea. We got our food before our silverware. Waited 15 minutes for a refill after telling our waitress we needed it. We havent ate here in a year and wont eat here again. Service was horrible. The Health Department would shut them down if they come in.
The croissant was so good we ordered again before leaving. Nigel was our very nice server. When they said it is made from scratch they were not lying. Everything we ordered was delicious. Chicken fried steak with green beans and mashed potatoes, potato soup, bourbon glazed salmon, penne pasta. This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Staff needs retraining! A group of 3 staff stood by the front goofing off for about minute and half while another customer and I stood in front of them waiting for assistance. Yes, they had seen us, there was no way to miss us.When my party of 4 was seated we waited for about 15 minutes, again no service, even though we made eye contact with several staff. When my husband went to inquire, the staff assigned to our section said I did not know you were there. My husband replied, I made eye contact with you several times. Fortunately, we were assigned a different server.Restaurant was dirty... And was not just food from todays business. There were crumbs in the crevices of the furniture; surfaces that were evidently not properly wiped down, food crumbs deep under the benches. Considering this and other restaurants just went through a period of increased sanitizing, it is surprising this restaurant is in this condition.On a positive note, food was good and served quickly. New sever was pleasant.
Went on Tuesday night after the baseball game and waited 20ish minutes to be seated due to lack of wait and kitchen staff. Which I know is a problem most places these days so I do not fault the restaurant or the staff that showed up to work. Food was okay not as good as it had been in the past. We will go again because sometimes everyone has an off day either with our own taste buds or with the actual cooking of the food. Our waiter was a late teen to early 20s young man that did an amazing job covering the bar area and the whole middle section. He was on top of everything that was needed for all his tables that I could see. The spinach dip is always so good. My boys love the ribs.
Not a good experience!! Lady the sat us look at us like we were crazy when we asked for a high chair and out is at a table one to short for our party and just said all we got when questioned. Food was all cold, and place was dusty with everyone sitting close together no staggered sitting. Disappointing at best. Waiter was nice but clearly overwhelmed.
We got seated immediately which was good because we ended up here after trying several other places that had crazy long wait times. Service was fine but not exceptional. Didnt take too long to get our food and it was also fine. No real complaints. We just werent overly impressed either.
GROSS!!!Just a terrible experience all around. 11:30 Sunday.A very rude hostess with Lots of attitude, then a 15 min sit before our server ever showed her face. Then we ordered drinks and shrimp appetizers. Another 10 minutes before our drinks. Then another 20ish minutes before our food came out. And guess what no appetizers were ever brought. I ask our server and her reply was almost like she was being forced to work there and didnt care a bit. Needless to say the food sucked too. How is this place still open. Really!!!!
Left with no dinner after waiting over an hour for our food. Floors were pretty dirty and the kitchen staff was just all over the place. We sat near the kitchen and heard a few arguments and attitudes. I was just here 2 weeks ago for lunch, during graduations and we things were great.Visited here again on 10/18 and we pretty much summed it up to the night crew is just there to be there. Waited almost 30 mins just to have our drinks orders, there was no crowd and everyone was pretty much standing around.
I was surprised that the service has slipped so far away, we waited 12 minutes to be seated in the almost empty restaurant.After being seated it took a while for our order to be taken, the food made it to the table with no silverware and when the ship working it was not clean. Cold food items, No reason for this 45mins after opening..
Food was extremely cold! Literally every plate. It was disappointing cause I recommended bringing my friends here for the first time. At no fault of the server he was working 7 tables. In addition everyone is seated together and a lot of empty seating. With COVID still at a peak it was disappointing that spacing between seats were not being something they practiced.
The worst possible customer service, we had a table of 3 and 2 outta the 3 received their meal ate it entirely while the 3rd person never received anything, we waited for over 1.5 hours for the 3rd parties meal! We ordered drinks waited 20min for them to arrive never received waters or a refill on our child’s drink! A party behind us was complaining about their meals at first we thought they were being rude but after 2.5 hours later for us we realized that they were in the right! Never again will we eat here do not waste your time or money! Please go elsewhere and I love food and I am a very patient person I understand mistakes happen and we all are human but when a manager advises he will comp a meal because he even knows it’s bad and then he NEVER returns to own up to his word! Please stay away look go to Five Guys it’s a million times better
The food was amazing. Service was horrible, waitresses was standing in the kitchen socializing, did not give us receipt. Bathrooms were disgusting. Urine all over the toilet seats and floor. No trashcan in stall for feminine products just trash bags. Toilets do not flush!Bill was very expensive. I paid over $60 for lowsey service!!
Oh my goodness! The best food!! There was a wait to be seated... I know why now.... 🥳 The Hostess and waitress was very nice and professional, cleaning and disinfecting everything in-between customers! Had the steak and shrimp. Steak was juicy and cooked to perfection! Shrimp came on bed of rice with dipping sauce. Forgot the name of the sauce but it awesome with the shrimp! You can tell the food is homemade. My son had steak and chicken fingers. The chicken fingers are awesome too. Lightly crusted and tender. Not dried out. 😋 Prices are excellent. I would rather eat there than go to a fast food place for the same amount of money! If you are thinking of going there, dont wait, run! You wont be sorry! We will definitely be back!!
Worst experience ever! Waited over an hour. Never received our appetizer. Ended up getting out food to go and didnt even get the spinach dip we PAID FOR and paid for 2 drinks we were told by the waiter that it would be canceled. Been on hold for 15 minutes so far waiting to speak to someone about this BS. So, I just paid $75 for 2 entrees!
So gross…. We walked in and it smelled like old milk. Went to the bathroom to wash up and there was fingernails on the floor, so much dirt that it looked like it Haden’s been cleaned in months. The floor in the dinning area itself was so bad, dirty and greasy. Someone broke a glass on the table next to us and it took two managers to stand and supervise, and four different employees to clean up glass. The managers just seemed to be roaming the dinning floor, holding tablets and pointing to servers. How about you put that stuff down and pick up a sponge. Lead by example. I was so scared to order, so I ate a salad. They should close this place for a weekend, deep clean it, repair the damage and reopen. I worked here as a waitress when the restaurant first opened almost 19 years ago and it is a shame to see it this way. We will never be back!
Normally our go to place for dessert and cheat meals. They have great appetizers, pretty fast service, and usually great food. Tonight this is how the cookie thats generally in a skillet.... warm came out. Cookie hard and not warm. Ice cream melted. When you eat clean often and look forward to a cheat this is such a disappointment.
Start to finish.... terrible service. From the hostess not seating open tables to no waiter for 15 mins. Then no drinks for another 15. Food came 30 mins after that and no silverware. Asked 3 people and 5 mins later went and got it from the bartender myself. She got me to go plastic ware. Burger was under cooked and I did not eat. All the other food was good. No more Cheddars Columbus.... until yall fix your staff.
First time back here in three years and sad to say this establishment has gone down hill. Upon being seated we were greeted by the strong scent of mildew permeating the dining room. It was disgusting - a Chuck-E-Cheese ball pit comes to mind. This was extremely distracting and I nearly lost my appetite until the smell was replaced by the scent of our ribs which luckily turned out ok. Service was prompt and drinks were strong, however the restaurant is in desperate need of a deep clean.
Ive never been so disappointed in a place. Our waitress who didnt even bother to introduce herself. Her name was Mareena or something like that since she acted like she didnt want us to know was so rude and hateful her energy was so bad from the moment we sat down. We are actually ppl who tip very generously but not here well not her. The bartender Mike was very nice but IF I ever go back Ill leave if shes there.
Went to eat today and 3 employees were up at the hostess stand smiled and said she will be with you soon not busy she comes up and stated it will be 10 min wait they have to clean tables. ,really not sure we will go back to Cheddars Disappoint service was not acceptable
I ordered on line thought it would be faster but was i wrong i had to wait 2 hours to get my food curbside pick up. when other cars pulled up and got food woth in 10 to 15 mins. they didnt seem that busy. not a lot of cars in curbside. i really dont know want was going on but im not a happy person right now
Today was my first time back at Cheddars since the pandemic started last year. I had an outstanding lunch of country fried chicken, broccoli cheese casserole & green beans. Genesis, my server, was superb from beginning to end. Needless to say, Cheddars famous croissants with honey butter were like icing on the cake! I will definitely return & highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Todays experience was not a good one. The service we received was not good at all. We never received napkins or extra salad dressing that we asked for and our drinks were never refilled. We ordered croissants and they were not warm as well as other portions of our food. Our server disappeared for long periods of time. It had been a long time since we went to Cheddars and it is sad to say but we will not be going back any time soon.
Great! First time experience here. The waitress was so nice and polite to us. She made sure we had everything we need and kept checking up on use for refills. The food was amazing!!! The fish was so tender and the rice was just right! And dont get me started on the Broccoli & Cheese Casserole and Homemade Cole Slaw!! They actually had the breading in the Casserole & they wasnt stingy with the cheese either! And the Cole Slaw was to died for. It was sweet but not to sweet and it wasnt plain like the other Cole Slaw we have tasted before. Overall we had a FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!! We will be going back for another date night to try something new Thanks you guys
Clean, identical interior design to every one i have visited in multiple states. Overall, the food was good ,except the cheese bites which barely contained any cheese and did not come with marinara, but instead came with ranch as a dipping sauce, a very weird combination . The waitress was awesome.Ohh and the cheese bites were too greasy.
A very great place to get something to eat the food is cooked perfect the staff there is courteous and polite the restaurant is super clean. Okay what I still want to say from one certified cook to a to another cook that food was cooked perfectly me and my family we loved every single bit of it and to the manager your staff did an excellent job.
Hadnt been here in a minute but when I did come back, one of the ladies serving us was very rude the entire time. Everything came to the table wrong or missing. Even handed a very hot plate to someone at my table and it burned them and then told them plate was very hit....but dats after the person already grabbed the plate. Spoke with Andrew (manager on duty) and he deeply apologized for everything and tried his best to make things better.
Well let me tell ya, Cheddars let me down!!! I got dinner for my Momma, 1st no coleslaw which was side #1, 2nd the baked potato wasnt no bigger than a golf ball and it was green number, 3rd the roll could have been bounced off the road, was afraid it would make ANOTHER pot hole... AND the ribs were tough! Very very disappointed... Ive never had food this bad from there before!
I wish I had the option not to give any stars because this was a horrible experience. First, we tried to call and reserve seating, and they wouldn’t allow it even though other locations allow it, and this one has in the past. Second, the site was disgusting. It looked as if they hadn’t cleaned the entire week. We were seated in an area that was full of water under our feet. The wet flood sign didn’t give the employees a hint. Third, we were given dirty dishes with the bread. Fourth, the waitress didn’t split like she was supposed before she inserted one of the people of our group card. She was a horrible waitress overall. She only came to our area three times. To take the order, deliver the order, and not accurately assist with the payment option. If this location continues to go downhill like this; they maybe closing. Clean up it’s disgusting.
I can’t give any information regarding the food at this place because I never ordered. When we (2 people) arrived at 4 pm on a Monday afternoon where only about 10 cars where in the parking lot, we were told there would be a 10 min wait. We accepted and I went to use the restroom. The door was broken and wouldn’t close and it was disgusting so I did my business and left. On the way back up front, I was shocked at the debris and food all over the carpet. I looked at tables and seats and I wouldn’t sit down there much less eat the food! I went outside to get the Mrs and she was equally as disgusted at all the trash out front so we left. 25 minutes later we were contacted to let us know our table was ready. We won’t be back!!!
Wasnt a whole lot to the menu. It was my first time at Cheddars and probably my last. The service wasnt bad. The food wasnt bad, except the baby back ribs. They were over cooked. They were so overcooked that they were hard...the kids wouldnt even eat them. I dont wish to discourage anyone from going there. I just know its a place I wont volunteer to return to.
Cheddars is a restaurant that my family and I used to enjoy but we’ve been going much less frequently over the past several months because it seems the service was continually going downhill. Tonight we decided to give it one more shot. I said that maybe if we go in with low expectations we won’t be disappointed. I was wrong. My expectations on service was low but I was expecting to actually receive service. Servers were all around our table but none would even acknowledge our presence. I would try to get their attention but they would not look my way. Parties that were seated after us already had drinks and appetizers delivered but we had not even been greeted. I decided to press the “call server” button on the table kiosk and the red light on it began to blink but servers continued to walk right past our table. Disgusted, we got up and left. We will NEVER go back.
Food was good not great. Service was bad. Ordered shrimp waitress brought chicken. She asked if I wanted honey mustard when she brought the chicken I said yes. She checked on us 15 minutes later reminded her about honey mustard it arrived after everyone else had eaten and was in a very small soufflé cup. Children’s menu doesn’t include macaroni and cheese. Asked for a to go tea she delivered to go coke. The parking lot not full at 6:30 should have been a sign. The service explains why I have only been twice in the last 3 years.
Service was not great waitress didnt write order down so things were not correct about order took quite a while to get order we never received our bread the floor in there was filthy with spills. It has been over a year since we have been in there and it has really gone down hill
Sad to leave a bad review but it just kept getting worse the longer we were there. No refills and after asking twice got unsweetened tea and any time I mentioned a problem such as the tea, or the broccoli instead of casserole or forgetting the salad. Constantly ignoring request. It was unprofessional & then couldn’t split the check? I just thought she was overall rude and we will sadly not be back.
First, plan to wait at least 30 minutes to be seated. This is a very busy restaurant and sometimes short staffed. That didn’t take away from our experience. Our server was short-handed but did an excellent job holding down the fort. He managed to serve everyone and didn’t make any mistakes with our orders. Our food was hot and fresh, we had not concerns. There was a birthday party going on, so there’s that as well. Great job.
I havent been in a while. But It was Friday and wanted to get out the house. We got there and there was so much food under our table. The blinds were beyond dirty and dusty. We ordered 2 raspberry teas and 1 regular sweet tea. One rasperberry tea had a splash of tea and the rest was rasperberry syrup and the other had no ice and came hot. Took 15 min to just get another tea from a whole different waitress. They exactly 48 min later we finally get our food. Which was missing our sides and no condiments. Mine you Im there with two small children. The people that came in after use got their food before us. The waitress so the worst, she took forever to get anything, and barely stayed to have a conversation everything seemed rushed and they werent even busy. I will no longer dining here again.
I visited this place on May 13. I arrived around 8:20 pm. The service was poor. The waitresses at the entrance did not greet us properly- we were then told to go to the bar to place a to go order (which we did). We got our food about 30 minutes later and it was disgusting. My fries, mashed potatoes and gravy.. you name it- horrendous. The only good thing was my strawberry lemonade and my chicken tenders. I had to ask for utensils, napkins, and it also took them forever to give us our drinks. Cheddars is my favorite restaurant, but this was the worst experience I have ever had. I will most definitely not be back.
We went to cheddars 2 days ago, the while place smelled of mildew of some sort. The carpets looked like they hadnt even been swept in weeks, the server was horrible, and the food was gross! 1 person had to send food back and couldnt even eat it. Needless yo say, we wont be going back anymore

2021-06-27This was one of the worst experiences in a while. We walked in this establishment and there was no wait, that was the highlight. We were walked to our table. Upon sitting down, I realized the establishment smelled like sour dish clothes. It was horrible. I wanted to leave, yet my husband said I am a harsh critic and give it a chance. So we sat down. The young lady waited a few and took our drink and food order. While waiting I was looking around and realized our kiosk and others on other tables were dirty. There were other tables dirty and the floor was dirty. The big kicker was the build up of dust and dirt on the lamp hanging from the wall over the table. It was horrible. We got our drinks and began talk. Of course I was discussing my sights and suddenly, I knocked over my cup on the floor. Shockingly the cup and all contents remained on the floor until well after my departure. Repeatedly being walked on by multiple people. My food came out and it was cold. I think we took 2 bites and left.

2021-10-19Well, this is not a first time visit to Cheddar’s so I’m fairly familiar with the menu and I’ve visited enough to have also developed a few favorites as well. However, I didn’t go with any of those this time and was not disappointed. I started with the Coconut Shrimp appetizer which came in a generous portion (6) of fairly large gulf shrimp which were battered and fried in a light coconut breading and some sort of white dipping sauce which I did not sample because I’m not a fan of mayo based sauces. Overall taste was great and extremely filling, almost seemed like the main course. (side note: The shrimp in the photo may seem a little dark but I requested that it be a little harder fried as I prefer fully cooked seafood.) Next up was my entree, which I choose the 5oz version of the salmon which was blackened and seasoned. It also came with glaze that you see in the small bowl which was also very good. Loaded mash was a mix of flakes and real cut potatoes, not sure how I felt about that because the consistency was confusing to my palate but ok. The red beans and rice would probably qualify as the star of the evening, very well seasoned especially with the chunks of meat throughout the beans. The only room for improvement there would have been a larger portion.Overall, it was a great experience as usual, very modestly priced “comfort” food in a clean and pleasant setting. I will also add that this place has gained an enormous urban following because of it’s low priced menu and food selections therefore has gotten crowded, so expect a wait time of 30+ minutes as the norm especially on the weekends. (They could stand to improve the wait area, it’s very small and with so many people standing around waiting to receive their “table available” text, I recommend waiting in your car.)

2022-06-23Fathers day dinner. Outside of the long wait thats expected, this was a great experience. The highlight outside of the food is the exceptional service of our server, Marcus. Marcus took our orders with No pen, no paper. Just in his head. And there was 8 of us, different orders, variations, and drinks. And he got EVERYTHING correct. Says hes been doing it for years. He was great and made the wait forgettable.

2021-11-07Had a curbside pickup order tonight. The chicken was great, but they forgot to put one of our side dishes in the bag. On top of that, they hardly gave us any gravy for the double order of chicken. Is it too much to ask to have a properly prepared order?

2022-06-18Honestly, this could easily be a 4 or 5 star place but it just consistently misses the mark. Positives: big menu, good food, great portion sizes, yummy appetizers. Negatives… this location is always late on carry out orders. Usually 30+ past expected time and frequently missing items (sides/drinks) or incorrect orders (wrong entrees). This has been my experience the last 6 times with carry out. Not one single positive experience. My most recent dine in experience this Wednesday was awful. I feel bad because I got there and they weren’t busy at all so I walked in expecting to get seated immediately but they are so short staffed there was a 20 minute wait for a weekday lunch table even though the dining room was mostly empty. Our appetizer (spinach dip) which is one of our favorite things, was so cold the cheese on top was not even melted, it was still chilled shredded cheese. My chicken was over cooked and rubbery. And had trouble getting refills on the drinks. Personally I think Cheddars itself is awesome, but this particular location has been struggling for awhile and they are losing my business.

2022-02-24Good food and good service. We were seated quickly and met our waitress quickly. Ordered our drinks and app. They were brought out shortly after. Main meals were good. My Cheeseburger was a little underwhelming but good. Biggest downside to this establishment is that the restrooms were filthy. The mens room looked as though there was dried vomit on one of the walls.

2021-09-06I dont know what happened to this place but it has gone to sh%^, I am embarrassed for my hometown because when my mother was alive this was one of her favs, now lets review shall we, we visited Labor Day weekend 2021 for a quick bite;1. There were four people playing host, mostly talking on playing on phones2. We were seated right next to the kitchen when there were plenty of other booths available, we moved3. The floor was dirty, a staff member left a broom and dustpan on the dining room floor with stuff in the dustpan.4. We were given drinks by one of the alleged hosts, never gave her name5. Our server showed up 10 min later and never gave his name, just asked, Do you know what you want? he never checked on us.6. We ordered an appetizer that never came, my fish was undercooked, my wife ordered corn it was previously frozen and looked old, they brought her carrots that she didnt order.7. We heard several arguments coming from the kitchen and back of the restaurant.8. They added the app even though we never received it and took 15 min to take it off.Needlessto say, I had to go somewhere to pick up something to take back to my hotel, I am done with Cheddars for good and I will let others know that this is totally unacceptable and to stay away, they need to clean house and start anew because they have a lot of problems.
