Cheddars Scratch Kitchen in other cities:
Went Monday, June 20 & they were basically out of a lot of food they normally serve. Disappointing to say the least. The Island Tiki needed more liquor, the potato was okay, one side of it had gone bad, the chicken is always good, the broccoli casserole was luke-warm so I just boxed it & took it home. I really wish they would bring the onion rings back! I love Cheddars but they missed the mark by being out of food.
The atmosphere was really nice the food was good and the prices of the food was cheaper then expected. I thought the prices was going to be like $15 & up but me and my date meals were $11 a piece and alot of the meals were around $13. The waiters & staff was nice & friendly & the food was good also.
We had a really good experience. We thought well give it a try because there was a long wait to get in to Chilis. Im glad we gave Cheddars a try. Restaurant is big , there was no wait. We were seated immediately. Our server was very attentive. We got our drinks quick. The Margarita was exceptionally good. The appetizer was meal in itself. Our waitress brought the appetizer first like it should be. She didnt rush us at all. After we were done with the appetizer our dinner was served. Again huge quantities of food. We had a very good experience.
I ordered the chicken pot pie. Honestly disappointed. I have never had such a disgusting chicken pot pie before. The sad thing is I bought two thinking it was going to be good and it was not. Honestly if you want to taste barf I would say order this right here. It’s so frustrating to order something you expect to taste good but it taste disgusting. I give one star for the salad that I could have made myself. waste of money. Long wait and the food is definitely not worth it.
Inexpensive and great food place! I think Ive found my weekend go to spot when I want to get out and eat at a restaurant but save some money in the process! Thanks to my senior business partner for taking me and my other partner out with him and his wife for an impromptu dinner!!!
The waiter we had was great he did everything he could to make my wife and I feel good but the food was a problem. From it coming out cold to the pot pie I ordered to turn out to be a bowl of chicken soup with crust on the top was so disappointing. Will not be coming back.
Food was delicious! I got the ribs and steak combination with broccoli casserole and seasoned rice. Everything was great except the service! Our server seem to distracted because she kept forgetting things and she forgot to bring us the drinks we ordered, then after we asked a second time about our drinks (we waited for over an hour for drinks) she tells us they were waiting on glasses so we cancelled them.
Cheddars has really gone downhill since the pandemic. The cut the portions of the size significantly. If I have an hour wait just to eat dont cheat me. Plus certain items on the menu are no longer available but they keep them on the menu. Cleanliness is also struggling lots of full dishes boxes sitting on the floor. I saw thing I didnt expect from cheddars. Dirty tables not being turned over quickly. Young staff, who look lost maybe first job. I used to love this place. This place has really nosedived. The food is good but thats the only good thing. Just order a to go. The dining experience is gone.
First time visiting...and we just wanted to grab a few appetizers and a cocktail 🍸 or two..and enjoy a little C.P. time. The restaurant came recommended from a coworker, and I must say..despite the unflattering reviews; we had an AWESOME time 😎!! We chilled at the bar, and our bartender/waitress Ms. Sierra was on top of things. Service was impeccable from start to finish..the appetizers that she recommended were delicious and the drinks...well what can I say, but we were definitely not disappointed! So go check her out..she only works Saturdays and you wont be disappointed!! We will definitely be back!!👍
While all three of my party were happy with our food I was horrified by the disrespectful behavior of our waitress to get us to leave the table. I was in the restaurant business for many years and even though I did not allow my employees to use this tactic it is evidentially the protocol of Cheddars. I drove two elderly ladies to Cheddars to have lunch together. The bill had been paid including a tip and the to go boxes were filled. The waitress came over and continued to clear the table and even though I had just taken a swallow of water from my glass she immediately picked it up and left. We were still talking. That is code for GET OFF MY TABLE. Now there was a wait but we had spent a good amount of money in a short amount of time. Too bad our waitress, Heaven, didnt see that I had laid out a $20 bill to compensate for the extra minutes these two elderly ladies would have to spend together over lunch in a restaurant. I didnt say a thing because they would have been uncomfortable since one of them said she kept glaring at us. Thats when I picked up my $20. I will go back for the food but next time I will hold my space but maybe not my tongue. Manager Please.
What do you rate when the drinks are 100 but the food is ok. Im going with the 3.I had to change my rating. It is not good to go from a 3 to a 1. I gave this rating because, todays visit was my last one. I went for lunch so the drink was off the table. We are just rating on food and service. After waiting 25 minutes after being seating, I went looking for a server. I should have just left before Tip (the server) came.
Every time I ordered curbside pick up. I have always received my order messed up. I finally decided to order in person and still had my order messed up. My final visit was when I went to place an order and waited in the lobby for 30 minutes and was not acknowledged. I ask to speak with a manager. I waited for about 20 and no one came. The person I spoke to about having a manager speak with me never checked back and saw me waiting. I leave and I place a call requesting to speak to a manager. I got the runaround. They said we will call be back and it has been more than 2 weeks. I often get food for 3, but no more.
Totally mixed feelings after the second visit. Loved it the first time I came and decided to come back. We were lucky enough that our waitress was super reluctant to serve us. After we ordered the appetizer, she left us there promptly for 20 minutes just waiting on her to order the main course. Hit the light to call the server but no one came. Finally, someone stepped in to take the order for her. Wait another 30 minutes for the order to come out. Paid for the order to leave since the atmosphere gave me a terrible headache. Never to see my waitress again to get a to go box. Front desk had no one either. Not sure if we should come back here period.
We came in an hour before they close. The place was nearly empty, but they told us it would be 45 minutes to seat us.I would have been completely fine if they had just been honest with us, told us it was the end of the night and they were not longer seating people. They lined and told us there were not any tables available and it would be a 45 minute wait.I would not recommend this place and plan to contact corporate offices for both their restaurant and their parent company.
The food was so so 😋 GOOD. My girl had talked about the food so long I couldnt wait. Almost didnt get to taste those WONDERFUL CROISSANTS but luckily they did make more and our waitress made sure we got some. It was the perfect end to baby girls graduation day.THANK YOU CHEDDARS
This are is great! I like the fact that you get so much food for your money. I also love the margaritas which are also a great price! Took away one star because at times the customer service is subpar especially the people at the front who do the seating. I tend to always get seated in a crowded area and I am not sure fan of that at all. But the food and drinks make up for that.
We waited over 2 hours for 8 croissants to go. The people were rude. I got a message to park curbside and enter my space number, lady came out and yelled I can’t park there and have to go to pay and pick up. But I had my family go inside to pay and pick up moved to a different parking spot. Called 13 times 3 of those times they answered but never spoke to us we just heard cussing in the background. Entered the premises 10 times asking how much longer because it was supposed to be ready at 8:25 and was told 5 more minutes until it was 2 hours later. We ended up asking for a refund and they told us we had to return the food for a refund, but we didn’t get anything. Then told they’d refund us the eight dollars 3-5 days from today, but didn’t even feel bad we waited for over 2 hours and didn’t even know what we ordered.
Ive been once in Tennessee so I kinda like the food here, but this location is terrible. The customer service and level of professional from server was terrible. Ive never been to a place where I had to call management; only to be harrassed by the server for calling the manger, who by the way also may have not been a manager as well. The server kept forgetting many items we ordered, and we tried to give them several chances before calling management. The food was cold because the severs where standing around talking with each other instead of delivering food on time. We also still had to pay for everything at 10% off with one free meal (only because we sent it back). The worse part of it all is that we where having a dinner for a birthday party.
I have went to this location about five times, through out two years. They have been completely awful. Customer service non existing. The food is always cold or totally forgot our order. The food is okay. Nothing to be wowed about. Prices are decent. I guess its true what they say. You get what you pay for.
The food looked better than it tasted!! We should’ve ordered in, but the vibe wasn’t right for us. The staff was very nice & helpful, but the only available seat was near the kitchen! We don’t sit in the back or near the kitchen or the restrooms. So that was an instant turnoff.
Today may have been the most disappointed I’ve ever been with Cheddar’s, and I absolutely love this place. After placing a To-Go order with a pick up time of 6:13PM, I arrived curbside around 6:10 and parked in #6. All of curbside was full and apparently nobody had been helped, greeted, informed of a delay, nothing. Curbside was completely forgotten about. After going into the restaurant twice in an effort to speak to a manager, I waited an additional 25 minutes only to never have any manager come talk to me. This is with apparently three managers on duty and not ONE manager could step aside to speak to curbside. Two other curbside people walked in to cancel their curbside orders because nobody greeted them either. This is an absolutely embarrassment when it comes to service and curbside probably should have just been closed today if it was going to be abandoned.I did not get my order until 7PM, and despite waiting an extra 10 minutes to speak to a manager, I still was never able to speak to a manager when I left the building at 7:10.
This was my first time at this location. Group of 4. I got the grilled tilapia with shrimp. Mine was good now my husband got the somePasta I don’t remember the name that supposed to come garlic bread (it came with the check) and my cuz has the Alfredo chicken pasta with no sauce, really dried. We request extra extra sauce that came 17 min later when the food was already cold and yes the garlic bread came at the end of the dinner with the check too. We got the coconut cocktail was alright. Now the strawberry lemonade is a hit.
Horrible horrible…the McDonough, GA location never ever again. Salmon was suppose to be bourbon glaze super dry. Corn had something in it and the rice was was way over cooked. We ordered online it said 7:15pm pickup we arrive at 7pm and didn’t until 7:50. No one came outside to acknowledge us or the wait. The customer service at that location is horrible. I guess it’s right when they say you get what you paid for. I would not ever recommend this place.
I literally just left and the service was terrible! The staff seemed to be full of teenagers and inexperienced. Our food was cold and drinks was watered down. We received our appetizers, entrées, and drinks at the same time. The young lady was apologetic but it was no excuse. If they werent sitting around texting maybe our food wouldve been a lot warmer. Hopefully, this restaurant can hire better service.
The best thing about the restaurant are the croissants. They just melt in your mouth. The service from our waitress was good. I was surprised that on a Tuesday evening at 8 we had to wait 45 minutes for a table then it took a long time for the food to arrive and my soup was lukewarm. I would have returned it but it took so long that it wasnt worth it.
We drove 45 mins and this was our first time going here. The wait time was 1hour 15 mins to be seated, which was ok for a Saturday afternoon. Four star rating because the hostess took us to our table which was clearly dirty as well as the seats. The manager came out and apologize and clean the table as well as another couples table. The bartender wore her mask under her chin during the entire time we were there. Our waitress very polite, and returned to our table several times to make sure we were good. The food was good and the portion size for the price.
Hostess was smacking gum. Always good food , but with the service as bad as it usually is I don’t understand why it’s so busy. The last 3 times we have “tried” to eat here we have either left because of the long wait time or actually gotten seated and after 15 minutes and still no drinks left.
We were seated within 10mins of arriving. After about 15 mins, we got our non alcoholic drinks. 15 min later our appetizer and alcoholic drinks. An hour later, we still had not recieved our food so we left. We were told by our waitress that the kitchen is way behind. There were MULTIPLE angry guests and the manager was being run like crazy to give discounts to people. We were excited to come here because we went to the Savannah location and fell in love but this location will never get another dime from us.
Came here yesterday, 5/5, around 9 pm, party of 2. There were about 5 young ladies standing at the hostesses station and we were told that there would be a 2 to 3 hour wait for a table because there was only one server. We chose to sit at the bar. The bartender greeted us immediately while still tending to her full bar of people. We placed our drink orders and got them immediately. I had the Maui Margarita, extremely sweet but still good. I ordered the country fried steak meal. When I received my plate the meat was the only thing that was hot on there, the sides were cold and the meat was overcooked. The food was taking so long that I was already ready to go before receiving it. Receiving cold food when youve been waiting forever is enough to set anyone off. While waiting on the food to come out I noticed that there were no other people being seated when they came in. They were coming over to the bar if they had chosen to stay. I decided to look up the hours and noticed that they closed at 10pm not 11pm as I had originally assumed. If thats the case why were the hosts telling customers that there would be a 2 to 3 hour wait at 9pm? Was that to deter people from choosing to eat here? Ariana, the bartender, is what changed my review from 1 star review that I had planned to leave to 3 stars. In spite of seeming overwhelmed, and obviously needing some assistance, with the number of people at the bar, making drinks, taking orders, and having her workspace filled with dirty drink cups (by who I assume was the busboy) she still managed to provide excellent customer service. She gave helpful suggestions for food and drinks (we normally order the exact same thing every time we come and wanted something different), made small talk with us, checked on us throughout our time there and kept a smile on her face, through her eyes of course. Ive never experienced service like hers at this place that I can remember. She definitely made a bad experience much better.
We called ahead for 9 adults and 2 children and even got to the restaurant 10 mins before and waited a half hour for our table- no problem. After 6 adults and kids sit we wait for 15 mins before our server came to get drink orders- I didn’t get mine. Our drinks didn’t come for a while after, not until the rest of our party showed up. I got my drink when the rest eventually came out.We waited for our food for a while, not sure how long but we got there at 1:27pm, did our 30 min wait and didn’t get out until after 5pm.The Wisconsin cheese bites were the best food we all ate, I got the Cajun New Orleans pasta and it’s just bland pink pasta. And don’t get the sweet tart.It really wasn’t all of that, the place is dressed up good but it as NOT busy enough for us to wait so long.
This Restaurant is located in McDonough Georgia..The employees are helpful and practice Social Distancing.. Customers are able to purchase food with Cash Credit Cards or Debit cards. The Food is cooked to Order..The prices are affordable for any Budget..We were able to sit At the Bar and Order Drinks with our food.
Service was slow, ordered 2 steaks MW and came back with different temps. Kid burger meal had a bun hard as rock. Had to get remade and by the time the refire came out our steaks were cold. How you mess up a kid burger bun and have the nerve to serve with old fries?! Very disappointed and won’t be back. Might as well go to Applebees for half price. 🤦🏽♀️
Wow! Amazing food! I had Caesar Salad, Blackened Salmon, fried and grilled shrimp with Broccoli and Carrots! It was phenomenal and affordable! Great texture on the fish, the carrots werent over cooked and the broccoli was tender. The croissants were awesome! I loved it here. Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. The table wasnt fully cleaned and there was some thing sticky on it when we got there thats why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. Overall a great place to eat.
Was told a 30 minute wait but it was 3 minutes. Sat down whis is where the 30 minutes actually was. Didnt meet our server for at least 30 minutes. Food was really good, came out quickly, took another 30 minutes after we were done to pay. So if youre not in a hurry, it was great.
I have been coming to this Cheddar’s for over 6 years and I have experienced the worst service ever. My sister and I sat for over 15 min for a server and when we approached the server she rolled her eyes and walked off. We had to ask twice to be served and asked to speak to the manager who never showed up. We never received the complimentary bread. The excuse was that server was new. I would have left but my sister insisted to stay. The customer service is horrible in the McDonough Cheddar’s. Working in the food service industry for over 25 years I normally don’t complain but the manager needs to be out front canvassing and not cooking on the line. Customer Service is vital in this industry and if the resturant is short staffed then the manager needs to make arrangements for the resturant to run properly.
We placed an online order and got a reply to be there to pick up the order at 6:40. We received a call at 7:00 saying that the croissants we ordered were not ready and were asked if we wanted to wait an additional 8 minutes, why not we had already waited 20 extra minutes. Food came out at 7:13 and the only thing that was hot was the croissants, everything else was cold. One of the ok riders was the veggie plate and they didnt put the salad or dressing in the bag. Will not be going there again.
They was out of spinach dip & mushrooms. The machines was down at the table. They were short in staff. Waitress Tiff was very rude, like my family didnt have no money. Like we going order whatever we want. At that point she should of just kept her mouth close. I wont be back
I read the reviews before going but decided to give it a try anyways. I love Cheddar’s. I really do but this location isn’t it. Service is extremely slow. The waitress spent more time apologizing to us for the wait and the food than anything else. The fastest thing we got was the bill and our card once it was charged. Drinks took 15-20 minutes. Appetizer (croissants) 20 additional minutes. We received our food 30 more minutes later Items were wrong and missing. It took another 15 minutes to get broccoli (that was missing from the first plate) and cocktail sauce then ANOTHER 20 for the steak (that had been prepared wrong) and another 10 for the mashed potatoes (that was missing from the second plate). Basically our meal was served in pieces. Our waitress was doing the best she could (she seemed to be servicing most of the bar area) but whatever was happening in the kitchen made her job that much harder. Absolutely no accommodations were made for any of the things that went wrong. No manager came by. Nothing. The food was not as good as I’ve had at other locations. Disappointed.
Waitress was pleasant. Went on a date here today. And even my date said the food was horrible. Food was not cooked well. Drinks were good but, food nasty as hell. We both ordered New Orleans seafood pasta. Shrimp was gross and chicken was choppy.. and I asked for extra meat and didn’t get that either. Waitress was kind enough to take it off order .. we also tried the chocolate cake! It was still frozen and had no taste. Needless to say stay away from this place.
I came for my free birthday treat, the Monster Cookie Sundae. Big disappointed. Obviously, aint no more monster. It was just an overbaked, overpriced chocolate chip cookie sundae. If thats the new size, change the price back to $4.99 instead of $6.29. The true monster cookie used to cover the whole skillet; not anymore. All that skillet showing. The honey-butter complimentary croissants were on point. I enjoyed my Cajun Pasta with shrimp, chicken, & sausage. My waiter was nice & punctual.
I went here for my birthday for the very first time. I will be back for sure! The Service is 100% good. They did forget we ordered onion rings but when I made it aware that our onion rings had not arrived at our table. They apologized. Got the order to us and we did not have to pay for it. The food is served quickly and the food is amazing! I like Cheddars more than Apple Bees.. The Lemon Pepper chicken breasts are delicious! They give you two large breasts with a side of your choosing. The Salmon was delicious too! And the Salmon was a nice size. The Chicken strips are very good, just the batter is to much, I could use less because it hurt somewhat when you were chewing the crispy chicken strips. But the onion rings were amazing! And it was a really large stack of onion rings. And the food is perfect for a person who cant have a lot of salt. The broccoli has no salt. The meat is lightly salted and so are the veggies. Highly Recommend trying the food. But I must warn you, the place is always packed so if you want to go for lunch you have to get there right as they are opening. And you have to be there early for dinner as well or you will be standing in line for maybe 20mins or up to a hour. Also the prices are great!
The salmon was very dry and the drinks were overly sweet. I do plan on going again because I arrived at 9:30 and the close at 11. Although excellent service should happen no matter the circumstances, arriving close to closing isn’t a best time to go eat. The manager did offer to remake but I wasn’t up for waiter even longer. It took an extremely long time to get our food and the waitress was clueless. She said she wasn’t new but from her behavior she seemed as if she started as soon as I arrived.I went back a second time and the waitress was very nice. I can say the food still wasn’t that great. So I won’t be going back.
Food is reasonably priced. Service was quick and pretty thorough. The low part of the experience honestly was the chicken tenders, they were reminiscent of ones you may find at any fast food restaurant around. They just seemed out of place on the plate and looked like they grabbed them from Zaxbys. The other dishes at the table were more fitting to the restaurant and seemed to be very enjoyable, my oldest child really liked the mashed potatoes (he mentioned it a couple of times).
This restaurant is a good catch all. The menu offers a little bit of something for everyone. The inside looks nice and could make for a romantic date.I have tried the chicken fingers, club sandwich and the maple bacon chicken sandwich. All were delicious with generous portions. The maple bacon chicken sandwich is the best grilled chicken sandwich Ive had anywhere around here.If you go and they are crowded feel free to grab a seat, table or booth in the bar area. That area is first come first serve. There isnt a table over there big enough to fit more than 4 people but it serves its purpose if you and a few friends are looking to get in quickly without having to wait to be seated. The wait staff and helpful and attentive. They are quick to keep your drinks filled and the food comes out fast. This particular location has been open for a few years now but they are just as friendly as they were at opening.
Post covid, they are strenuous in following standards. Clean and smells good inside. The food smells delicious. The chicken tenders are a bit tasteless, but the honey mustard helps, a bit spicy. The Santa fe spinach dip is good! A bit spicy, with a dollop of sour cream on top! Yummy! The homemade queso is a yellow cheese mix with jalapeños, spicy but really good taste! And the monte christo... it is so rich and delicious the cheese and the meats! So good, the raspberry syrup is perfect with it, dunk your sandwich in it and go-to town! The French fries are good too, not to salty with a touch of pepper! YumOverall a great experience and I will definitely come back again
So I usually try to order to go from this place because seating is horrendous and now that isnt even being done correctly. I order my food online, wait an extra 15 minutes from my emailed time. 10 minutes later my food comes out and is handed to meI then get home and I have half of my food. I then call and Im left on hold waiting for a manager long enough time for me to drive back after being on hold for 30 minutes then I get there and Im told that my entire order is being remade 20 minutes later Im still standing in the lobby
Ribeye Steak had No Flavor at all and Ribs No Flavor and came out cool not hot...salad came out after dinner and Rolls came after everything... Server never came back to refill beverages and I had to ask another server twice to please find our waitressesTeribble..they need new chef and servers!!😅😆
Disappointed!! I ordered curbside and was missing some items. I told the gentleman that I was missing a drink and he says “ok you’re missing a drink” and he walked away. He didn’t even ask me what my drink was and I didn’t even get to tell him the other items I was missing. I had to call them about 5x just to get someone to answer and they finally brought me the rest of my things. I ended up having to throw my food away because it was horrible. My fries tasted like they were old and they were also cold. I had 2 different flavor teas and they both taste like water with a hint of tea and I didn’t even have ice. I wasted my money and I will not come back to this Cheddars.
Im always a big fan of Cheddars Scratch Kitchen. The food is amazing, the price point is great, however I am not a fan of plastic utensils - which is what they gave me at this particular location. Their warm croissants drizzled in sweet butter is the best though! You dont need plastic utensils for that.
My family and I had the worst experience ever. A couple that was seated after us was quickly approached by their server. It took about a good 10 minutes before our server came to our table. I told the guy sweeping the floor that we were still waiting on our server. I even asked the manager and he said that she was on the way as she was getting plates for us. She could have at least taken our drink orders first. It seemed like it took forever for our appetizer to come out and then finally our food. She only came to the once to see how we were doing. I had to ask for the dipping sauce for my sons coconut shrimp. I ordered a salad and she forgot that and she forgot the ranch sauce for the cheese bites. I know we are in the middle of a pandemic, restaurants are short staffed but she could have provided a better customer service.I ate at the Cheddars location last Saturday in North Georgia, and the customer service was a lot better than this location. Its sad that you have to travel an hour away just to get good customer service.I will not patronize this location again.Signed,Unsatisfied customer
The food was absolutely delicious & hostess was friendly. I had the Key West chicken & shrimp with pineapple pico over rice. I could eat this meal every night! The only reason I didnt give it a 5 was because the service was a little slow. I think our server was overwhelmed.
Long post! My daughter and I sat down foe lunch. As our server took our drink order we heard a very loud voice scream. What are you doing back there, get off your phone you are done!. It was extremely bizarre especially when we found out it was the GM who was screaming. As a clinician I recognized that the employee was in distress, so I spoke with him briefly and gave him my card. I wanted him to know that none of the patrons felt he was wrong and not to feel embarrassed. The GM didnt stop, she continued to verbally engage the employee until he was in tears and punched a door. Another server asked me to assist. I deescalated the situation and went on with my meal. The sad part was other wait staff asked for my card. I appreciate the wait staff for remaining calm. As for the GM she made the dinning experience a negative 5.
I came here with my family as a nice outing, and my mother tried to make a reservation on yelp we got there and the hostess said that they didn’t use that platform for reservations anymore but replied and showed how many people were in-front of us still. Hostess also talk to another customer about my dad not knowing one of my other family members could hear her, gave my family dirty stares the entire night, overall was an awful experience.
This place is delicious! The food was just shockingly good, especially their cheese bites the potato soup and their buttered croissants. Honestly, my husand and I were debating about which was the best. Very good, would absolutely come back again. The cheese bites managed to be both light and yet full of cheese, even with a high bread to cheese ratio, they were just perfect. And the marinara is delicious! Chunky and flavorful. The croissants are smattered with a sweet honey butter. It was a fantastic counter point to the soups. The potato is hearty, the broccoli cheddar actually has a little bite to it, which is pleasant, and shockingly makes it a great dip for the fresh chips.10/10 would happily come back!
The food was horrible. My baked potato was so dry even with the butter and cheese on it. The ribs were dry and hard.y sister had the pasta and the noodles were over cooked to the point that they were mushy. I also redeemed my coupon for my birthday dessert...major disappointment. The chocolate cake was so dry it crumbled up like dirt. I am done with Cheddars. The server didnt make our visit any better she had an attitude from the time she stepped to our table. Waste of money and time. Left there hungry.
The food is great. I took my daughter there for her birthday, it was my time there. I ordered the half rack of ribs with grilled shrimp, fries and coleslaw. It was delicious. We had 2 Grande Martines and I was charged for 4. Talked to a manger, I was suppose to receive a gift card but I never received it.
The absolute worst customer service. I grant a ton of grace because of the pandemic but the customer service is strongly lacking. I absolutely hate that this is the only Cheddars Restaurant in Atlanta. There are 3 hostesses standing at check in doing absolutely nothing and they should be sanitizing the nasty menus that were given out at our table. In addition, you are able to use the Yelp app to join the wait list....but guess what??? They dont honor it. Instead when you come inside, they put you on yet another Yelp wait list...that they also dont honor when you inquire about it. Their response is that everything is an estimate of time to wait, and is never exact. Ok, I get nothing is exact..but to day yeah its just something we use, we dont really go by it, you just have to wait until you get a text from a regular phone number from us....Huh?????I had a party of 7 including a baby. I watched SEVERAL parties of 2, 3, 4 and 5 walk in and get seated immediately. Again, I grant a lot of grace, but a little customer service goes a long way. If your excuse is that you only have a few servers and cooks, thats understandable, then you need to think of another operating schedule that might allow you to serve customers without being bogged down. Id rather you be closed altogether than choose who you seat and serve. The manager said only 2 servers were there and that wasnt true, our waiter said they had 7 there this day. Not sure about the discrepancies but obviously the servers, hosts and hostesses, and the manager are not on one accord with the lies they tell. I will not visit again and will reserve my Cheddars experience for vacationing in Orlando 3 or 4 times a year!
My niece and I wanted to find a chill spot for the super bowl. Cheddars was perfect and it wasnt crowded. My main purpose was to tackle that Pain Killer. It was everything I imagined and more. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🍹🍹🍹 Great bartenders and tenderesses. The prices are very attractive to the pocketbooks. We,will be back soon!!
Came down from the tri-state area for business. Stopped here for some quick comfort food and southern hospitality. The food was great which is the only reason why it was given 2 stars. Our waitress had an attitude right from the get-go. Any time we tried to get her attention, she would turn and walk the other way. It took about 20 minutes to get a to-go box and the check. Food is great but customer service/customer experience needs major improvement.
Horrible experience! It was 730p and they were out of everything I wanted. No limes or mint for my drink either. I ended up ordering the vegetable plate only to be told they were out of carrots after I put my order in. I had to ask twice for my salad which finally arrived after my main meal. The salad had old mushy tomatoes & then a huge piece of bitter stalk. Most disappointed.
Lots of good social distancing practices and staff all wearing masks, which was great. Unfortunately the good stopped there. The waiter was very inattentive and tried to take food off the table without even asking us first. The menu is not full, which is not mentioned anywhere Ive seen on Cheddars website or any signage outside - we didnt find out until we sat down and they put a single page menu in front of us. Food was also not as good as other Cheddars locations we have visited (ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich). Not going to be in a hurry to come back.
I believe a restaurant will thrive under good leadership from management. This place is a hit or miss!! I went on my birthday evening only to be sadly dissatisfied and disappointed! Multiple tables were dirty and so was the carpet. I was offered to sit at the bar bcuz no tables were clean. I arrived 1 hour b4 closing. With a hour remaining in store those tables should have been clean. We ordered a appetizer 1st which took forever like over 20mins as we were also waiting for dinner I’m assuming my appetizer was gonna of course come out same time as dinner. I decided to leave the restaurant at this point. The waiter could care less even though she knew it was my birthday as I had mentioned to her previously . I doubt if I will ever go here again. Not to mention the rag they used to wipe tables smelt like a rag they had been using for weeks to wipe tables. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾
Update to my last review, its been 9 months and Cheddars has gone down considerably. We came in to a 20-30mins wait, went over to sit at the bar. To no surprise, the two available seats where we attempt to sit was dirty. The bartender made eye contact with us but continue doing something else. As we departed back to the wait station. The restaurant was absolutely filthy! I dont think I will be returning to this location.I have been a longtime Cheddars customer stemming from Texas to North Carolina. This is unsatisfactory.
This visit was one of my better experiences at this location and a big part of that was because of our server Melvin. He did an outstanding job and had a positive attitude the entire time. As for the rest of the experience the wait time was minimal, the appetizers were out promptly, and although there was a delay on the main course it still came hot and as ordered. I will be adding this location back to places of interest when looking for dining options in the area.
If totally give this place 5 stars but this time I was told they dont give a military discount and Ive been accommodated in that way in all 50 plus visits. I have not been to this shoot in over a year and I guess things change but the food was stellar as usual. Well the chicken dishes were. The steak lacked flavor but it wasnt mine to eat.
Never received my order. I walked in and placed a to go order at 5:52 p.m. yesterday and was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. At 6:20 I asked if my order was ready and I was told it would be another 10 minutes. My frustration and anger grew while I was watching the very young, uncaring and unapologetic staff stand around talking and taking selfies instead of checking on my order. At 7p.m. I asked a different staff member to check on my order and he stated there was no order put in for me. I left without getting any food and will not go to that establishment again.
Ok so im not giving yall a 5 because yall Cheesecake is TRASH literally took a bite ran to the trash and spit it out and threw the whole thing OUT! It wasnt just bad and come on is cheesecake plain ol cheesecake it didnt even have a crust it was like a hint of brown on the bottom with a nasty crumb and it tasted like processed chemical from a car shop i mean it was soooo bad i feel bad i gave my son the first bite !!!!!!!It should be removed from the menu lord have mercy it was bad!!!!Besides that the pick up order was nice and hot ordered the steak and tender combo and 2 kids meal it was really yummy and fresh and fast !!!!
Called ahead to ask about wait time, lady that answered was extremely rude and snappy. Said they dont tell wait times over the phone. We drove 20 minutes to get here to be told 2 hours. Thanks Cheddars, for wasting 40 minutes of our time instead of just friggin saying so over the phone.
So ordered online for curbside pick up. Got the text telling me when my order would be ready, only to have to wait 20 mins, then having to go inside the establishment to get my order that I had to send the dip back…Why have curbside and don’t deliver in a timely fashion.
This was not my 1st visit to Cheddars but it will be my last to the one in McDonough,Ga. The service was terrible from beginning to end. Once the food finally came, it was hot and edible but my broccoli was placed atop of my french fries😭. Needless to say the butter from the broccoli made my fries wet n soggy! I was disgusted!! Our server was the worst I had ever encountered. She moved like a turtle, was dismissive AND she had no clue how to serve. The service was so bad the manager paid for our meal and gave us dessert! The point is, the service you receive is all about the waiter/waitress you get. This time we got nothing! Sorry not sorry!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant. The atmosphere and decor was very nice. The menu prices were reasonable and man-o-man those onion rings appetizers were really good. My only drawback is the appetizers and entrees come less than 5 min apart. Space it out people please. I have visited twice and the same thing happened.
I typically like this establishment. The food has always been great, I always feel like I get true value for the prices of the entrees, and the experience is usually always pleasant. Lots of parking, nicely decorated, cool atmosphere. The only thing I dont like about this place is how the front desk works. On many of occasions I notice that they tell customers astronomical wait times, seemingly as a deterrent for when things get busy or its close to the end of the night. Otherwise, a great establishment though.
I am disappointed in the lack of care this location has been placing on the food and service. Today, was the last straw. We placed a to go order. When I opened the container I discovered the broccoli and cheese casserole was a disgusting mess. The broccoli is raw with large stems SOAKING in liquid...not cheese. The carrots are old with cold butter on top. There is no honey or butter on the croissants. Who is managing this location? Cheddars is normally a good franchise. This is unacceptable.
Im not considered to be a professional cook, however I do know how to cook and season food like a professional. The food was very good with the exception of my salmon. I ordered the bourbon salmon did not have the right seasoning, it just tasted like seasoned salt. The carrots were delicious and so were the green beans and rice. The croissants also were an absolute hit. Additionally the painkiller drink was ok. If it werent for the salmon during this visit, this is definitely 5⭐ worthy restaurant.
What happened to this place? I really hope the owner is the manager because someone or many people deserve be to fired for the overall product this place is putting out. Currently still waiting for the bartender Tracey to acknowledge my existence just one more time so I can get my check and never come back to this location. Wow, someone should take this franchise away from you. Loved this cheddars and every other one I have been to, but today was sad. Sat at the bar and patiently waited for any kind acknowledgement. I settled for a menu and raised eyebrows. I should have left at that point. Ordered drinks and food. Tracey was avoiding eye contact at all costs. I had to get her attention for the two patrons sitting beside me. We got the trio and cheddar bites. Tenders and bites were great. Cheese dip was congealed and had that weird layers on top and spinach dip was overcooked, so they just threw more sour cream on top. I would have addressed the issue, but tracey kept vanishing and ignoring customers like she was paid to do it. Watched the hostess and busboy too busy flirting so I held the door open for two disabled people. I get that covid happened and employees are hard to come by, but just close down if you cannot keep a certain standard. I believe thats why its a hospitality business. What a disappointing experience.
Not the best experience tonight. A few misfires. Food not hot. Apps were sent back and when the replacement was received, while eating, my nephew got a piece of the plate on his mouth. Theyd chipped the plate and it was in the dip. Spoke to 2 managers and I dont really recall an apology. They didnt charge him for his meal after my sisters prompting. Our server Erin was good but Im not sure if Id visit this location again. Picture of broken plate attached.
We went on a Sunday at 5pm and it was an hour plus wait. We got a table in the bar area. It was my first time eating at this restaurant. Drinks were good. Onion rings and crescent roll was very good. Food was just ok. I got a salad, salmon, rice and green beans. My husband got the new orleans styled pasta. He said it was ok. Next time, I will try a different meal and will go at a different time. Did not like the salad at all.
I’ve been to Cheddars on several occasions. Even on busy times when it took a hour or more to get a table and the service was awesome. Came on a Monday nite with very few customers and took forever to receive our food. Asked to speak to manager and he did a “walk by”’, moving very quickly saying I’ll give you a discount. When receiving the check it had a discount of $6.70 for a $100.00 bill. When asked to speak to manager once again we were informed the manager was on the phone. This was truly a horrible night at Cheddars and will NEVER return again!!!!!
Food was good, service was okay but we did sit in the bar area so things were crowded and very busy. We did find out that if you want immediate seating that the bar area is first come first serve. Hostess, thanks for the tip. We will visit again if we are in the area.
I’m in the restaurant now. First off it took over and hour to get our food. Talked to the manager and nobody could tell us why it took so long. The manager offered us a discount on desert for the wait. I don’t want desert, it took too long to get the food. When the food came out it was cold. The server offered to have the chef remake it. The server was nice but everything just took longer than normal.
My mother and I came here for a light lunch. We both had fish and a couple of their house drinks called the painkiller. Our waitress was phenomenal and built a great connection while taking care of her other tables at the same time. The food is great and offers an awesome value. The five stars definitely go to the painkiller which takes you straight to the beach!
We were waiting for 45 minutes for the food when they finally brought us the food it was burned and super overcooked. The pain killer the presentation was so different from the picture from the menu. The food was cold and the service that the server gave us was awful and bad. They didn’t had strawberry lemonade. They had just 3 servers and they make us wait for a table for 1 hour and the restaurant was empty. If they don’t have servers hire more but how you going to lost money and customers because you don’t want to hire more people and it’s Friday. After a week working I just went over there to have a good time and I left so sad that I didn’t want to stay there no more. I left without eating and I went to Chili’s the service in Chili’s was so excellent and the food was so good. We were waiting just 15 minutes in Chili’s. So they lost a customers because I don’t want to go there no more.
Stopped here for dinner while passing through. It was my wife and I, and we were sat immediately. We did not order apps, as we were in a hurry. I ordered the lemon pepper chicken and my wife got the white fish. About 20 minutes into our visit, my glass sat empty, and another couple were sat across from us with the same server. 30 minutes later (yes 55 minutes after we were sat) they received their food and we received ours. My chicken was overcooked to the point where the plastic fork that I was provided bent and would not pierce the chicken. I ended up eating it with my hands, as the plastic knife wouldnt cut it. We saw our server a total of 4 times, and I had to stop her to ask for a refill. We ended up just paying on the tablet on the table and leaving. I love Cheddars, but would not hit this particular one again.
I went to Cheddars last night to eat after church. We had a group of six that wanted to eat. We arrived at Cheddars right at 9:00 and they didnt close until 10. There were 4 staff standing at the entrance, they were talking and laughing. One gentleman asked me how many and I told him 6. He makes this aggravated sound like God and then told me it would be at least 45 minutes or longer. Now there were not many cars in the parking lot. You could say maybe there were not enough staff. But if 4 people are able to stand around talking in the front I would assume they must not be too short on staff. I said are you sure. There were empty tables everywhere and again the parking lot was half empty. He again said oh yes at least 45 minutes. It was completely obvious to me they did not want to serve us. I was so disappointed and could not understand why they would not want to wait on customers. I then drove down to Chilis with my party of 6 and they were completely opposite and welcomed us in and served us with excellent service.Needless to say none of us will return to Cheddars. They lost many customers last night with their attitude and lack of service. When a restaurant is open until 10 they should be happy to serve customers until 10.
I visited this restaurant with my 3 grands yesterday. We were seated much faster than previously advised, and our server Draco was excellent. He was attentive, kind and very patient with us. He checked on us very often and food and drinks kept coming. We also enjoyed our meals. Thank you for making this a nice experience.
I went inside to place a to go order and after waiting 20 minutes the host tells me I need to place my order online. I placed my order online and waited 45 minutes, my medium steak I order came out rare with blood oozing out. The waitress told me it’s another hour wait to recook my food so I ask to speak to a manger. The made my food a priority and I received my food within 20 minutes. This food tasting nothing like soul food whatsoever!!!! The mash potatoes had no seasoning and broccoli casserole was disgusting, not to mention my steak was now over cooked and dry
I know they can do better because Ive tasted better from this location. My tenders were so hard that it was like I was eating overcooked breading. My ribs had so much fat on them that I was scraping it off with my plastic fork. Then to top it off that dont do fried shrimp anymore! Hopefully I will be able to update this rating the next blue moon I come into this location seeing that I drove all the way from Atlanta to visit. 😑

2022-02-11Big portions. Great service. Food is a 4 out of 5. Which is good. In my book. Service is 5 out of 5. Cocktails were 10 out of 10. Not something I would crave but would bring the family back for a good dinner.

2022-02-28Wait time was less than expected, which was great! Waitress provided the bare minimum in service. Not once were we asked if we wanted or needed a refill. One of our appetizers came out once we were almost finished eating our entrées. Yes, it was removed from the bill. We had to ask for several things (condiments) that wed ask for when ordering and then wait a very long time before receiving them. Ive been dining here for a very long time and have never received this type of customer service.

2022-06-02Food was fine. But the service was not great our actual server didnt arrive until 30 minutes after we were seated. Luckily the host stepped up and got our appetizers and drinks.

2021-10-09Very pleased with my on-line ordering experience! Every time I try to go to this restaurant it seems super busy. Surprisingly we I went to pick up my online order it wasnt super busy. I love how they have designated parking spaces for to go orders. I only waited about 5 minutes from the time I checked in from my car. The server was upbeat, energetic and fast delivering my order. I was impressed that everything worked out so well! I ordered two entrees and was pleased with the quality of the food. My half slab of ribs were fall off the bone tender and the honey butter croissant was heavenly. I will be ordering again and maybe Ill stop in for a table.

2022-05-18Im not sure how this establishment stays in business but evidently business is booming. The wait was wack, the service was wack, the food was wack. The poor waitress (maybe her first day) didnt even know they served Miller lite? We got there a little before 8 and did not walk out until after 11:30 ! To me thats just shy of a part time shift at any job. Cleaning products at our table that we had to ask to be moved because we could smell them. Skip the house strawberry lemonade. The painkiller was 50% ice which translates to 70% water. Smh just a below average dining experience all around.

2021-12-30Made reservation on yelp… arrived on time to virtually empty restaurant @430pm and was told by hostess they didn’t accept yelp reservations if the customer makes them . I Was told the wait was 1-2 hours…seems crazy with nobody waiting in front of me. Meanwhile when they put me on the waiting list i get a text message from yelp, go figure!!!… they don’t accept yelp but i get a text from yelp. I recommend dining elsewhere. Seems like i was made to wait just to wait. Servers just chilling and honestly this restaurant was not busy at all. Bunch of young kids running things and customer service definitely suffers.

2022-05-31At first, everything was going well; we were seated and we received a warm welcome. But it all went downhill when I got my order. I was very appalled when I flipped over my bacon cheeseburger... THE BUN HAD MOLD ON IT!!! Id say it was handled fairly quickly, but that was only because we had 2 people from our party go get someone. The manager was professional about it and took it off our order, but when I got my remake the ranch had hair in it! Not only was my order messed up twice, we were the only party with PLASTIC SILVERWARE! Im not one to take things to the extreme, but this was a very unacceptable experience. Needless to say, we will never dine here again.

2022-02-08I am one disappointed customer at the McDonough, GA location. After an hour and half wait to be seated for my daughters Sweet 16 dinner with a party of 8, we get seated at 2 booths across the aisle. Croissants were never brought out. The appetizers were brought out cold and stiff. The cheese for my nachos cracked chips as I tried to dip and my daughters spinach dip literally didnt move when I held it upside down. I told the server and asked for the manager to remove it, thats when she disappeared on me. The actual entrees were appetizing but our glasses stayed empty until I went and found another employee. I feel like once she saw the party size and knew that gratuity would be included she no longer felt the need to serve the table. Im completely turned off after years of good experiences, the service has gone way down for me. I can never get my babys bday dinner back. At least she was happy to be with friends. Oh, and I was told they no longer do the birthday cheer...due to COVID???? Even when I had cupcakes and just wanted them to sweeten with cheer. Most restaurants will at least rally the staff to sing to the birthday patron.
